Reviews of The Green Shag Market
Great consignment shop. Lots of different booths with tons of variety. Good prices. Neat stuff here! You may just find your treasure here. I did.
Fabulous location, If you are looking to decorate your home. The sellers and people at the counter where incredibly helpful. They sell a lot of vintage furniture, cameras, books, clothing and decor. They also have plates, prints, original art and jewelry.
The store Is very clean and they take precautions for COVID 19 Which is excellent.
The have larger pieces of furniture sofas lounge chairs etc
When you go I highly recommend you look up because there are incredible pieces placed vertically. You don’t wanna miss anything.
I wish they would post more on Facebook but I understand inventory turns over everyday.
Wonderful place everyone should go visit.
Love this little market. Don't get to come in very often but when I do I always find such lovely things.
Great retro and vintage antique store. Records, clothes, furniture, toys, kitchenware, art, collectibles, and more. You name it, it's here! The set up in the booths is clean and fun, even funky! Love shopping here for records and old Christmas decor. Highly recommend!!
This is a high end store, without the outrageous prices! Friendly, and helpful staff.
Loved it loved it loved ,all the furniture and home decore ,was owned by mother at one time or another lol Prices were great too!
Super friendly staff, tones to look at!
Best antique store in St. Louis! I love this place! You could spend hours walking through and looking at everything. I've found such fun and unique items for my home here. Everything is pretty fairly priced and more on the less expensive side for most items. I'm obsessed with this place! You have to check it out!!
We're always on the lookout for a good antique store, and this is one of them. We're from central Illinois and haven't figured out if this place is reasonable or expensive, considering that it's located in St Louis. But we'll come back because it has several things we've never seen before and like :)
Really fun place with good vendors! Good mix of neat things, lots of mid century modern furniture and decor.
Depends on what you like and what you're looking for in this case, we were looking specifically for a vintage frame for a painting. We saw paintings, some in frames, other mid-century modern (MCM) decor items, but not what we were seeking. Better luck next time.
This place is great, all the booths had really cool things, not a lot of junk. Booths were organized, clean and the overall store was easy to navigate. Really nice lamps, home decor type things and some retro furniture. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth checking out.
Great antique market. Huge space with such a diverse selection. There is a good mix of high-end and affordable pieces. They have actual mock living spaces set up in some booths which is my favorite. You can really picture how some of the furniture will actually look in your home. We love to spend time here on the weekends browsing through all of the aisles.
I love walking around and discovering treasures here. I've bought a bunch of furniture and accessories for my apartment here. Most items are reasonably priced. It just depends on the seller. The staff is really friendly.
One of the COOLEST antique/vintage shops ever! It is very clean, incredibly well organized, no junk here. The aisles are wide enough for someone in a wheel chair to mosey about and even the bathroom was super cute.
The icing on the cake is that the prices vary from quite reasonable to expensive, but some of the items are worth it.
It is an eclectic collection of items they have in that store, from the 40's and 50's to present day. Very funky stuff, I hope to visit every time we go back to St. Louis.
Btw, the folks behind the counter were friendly, helpful and on point.
We had a great day shopping here. Outside vendors and inside booths with low pressure staff who were very friendly and helpful. Crazy variety of antiques crafts and collectibles. Found a few pieces we had to take home and even enjoyed a couple of hot dogs and a Coke really cheap.
Great place to find mid century/vintage items!
Love this place. It's "right-sized"—big enough to have booths from scores of vendors but not so big as to seem... cold and institutional. I try to go here every time I'm in St. Louis—I always find several hundreds of $'s worth of stuff and somehow winnow it down to $50 or $100 of must-haves. Management and staff are friendly and helpful.
I love this place. I go once a month or so. They have a great selection of wonderful treasures. I particularly like the vintage dishes and kitchen textiles. The staff is awesome, friendly and helpful. Fun place to wander around for a couple of hours!!
This antique shop focuses on mid-century items, and you can find some real gems in here. The place is clean, well-organized, and it is a pleasure to browse. I've found the dealers to be easy to negotiate with and I come back time and again to see what new treasures they've found. If you are an aging Baby Boomer or someone who feels they may have been born in the wrong era, this place is either a slice of your childhood or the childhood you wished you had.
I saw an item in a Facebook group I’m a part of at this store. Decided to shoot them an email to see if it was possible to buy over the phone and have it shipped. Dan was amazing and got me all taken care of!! I’m in love with my new bookends. They were packed perfectly and arrived so quickly!!
It's cute and has a lot of interesting things! I'd go again if I could go without my kid — definitely keep your eyes on your kids if you bring them, aisles aren't very wide and there's a fair amount of breakable stuff.
We love mid century modern items and they have all kinds of things to look at and buy. Each booth is different and we always find something to add to our growing collection there. Sometimes it's a coat from the 50's, a chair from the 60's or a vintage t-shirt from the 70's, we can always find something worth buying at affordable prices.
Really fun place to go to shop for used items. A lot of unique home pieces that you definitely won't find anywhere else. It is like a treasure hunt walking through the store every time! From larger pieces like tables and couches to small trinkets to give your home personality, this is a great place to go.
If you are looking for goodwill/yard sale prices this is not your place. But if you are looking for unique items in good, clean condition it is! There is a huge assortment of stuff to peruse including furniture, jewelry, knick knacks and clothes.
Oh my goodness! What a great place for vintage and antique items. There's something for everyone at the Green Shag Market. I found the place in a Google search and it was much better than I thought it would be. Very friendly staff. I live about 300 miles away but the next time I'm in St Louis, I'll be back to see what's new (and old).
These gorgeous glass lamps were found in this fun and fantastic warehouse of treasures!
There's a little bit of everything here. Odd collectables in 1 booth, stylish Danish furnishings in the next, hand crafted goodies across the isle...just name it! Visit often; new goodies come in all the time! An excellent way to spend an afternoon 👍 …
Great spot for us to score several pieces of mid-century modern walnut end tapes, credenza, and a mirror. Excellent service from the in-store staff in contacting the booth owner to ask questions about the furniture finish and to negotiate the price (about a 9‰ discount).
It's a fun place to look around. You probably won't find any amazing deals as most vendors have their items priced pretty high compared to flea market prices for comparable items. However on the flip side you dont have to search through junk to find the treasures here.
Really enjoyed looking around all the booths and seeing things from my childhood. Nice displays, and prices were descent if you know what you are doing. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very nice store but the prices are about 150% of where I would say they should be. Some sections were very reasonable but considering I'm at an estate sale or am antique store almost every week I think they were high. Great stuff in the store just over priced.
It is a warehouse full of unique, beautiful, artistic decor, furniture, kitchenware, clothes, paintings, knick knacks you'll never find at any corporate stores. Consignment stores are amazing and the Green Shag is one of my top 5 favs!
My favorite spot to browse and shop! Lots of quirky antiques, beautiful furniture, kitchenware, jewelry, and lots of other collectibles. My go-to spot when I want something one of a kind.
Great feel and mix of items, even if you don't find what you're looking for you'll find something you didn't expect!
Nice place, we did not see any "yard sale prices" so that was not good. They did have a lot of mid modern furniture, very nice but $$$. It was a nice visit
The Green Shag is fun. It always has something unique at a great price. Good place to go to find that interesting conversation pieces for your home. The staff is also very friendly.
Fantastic selection. Decent pricing. You can find great clothes and home/kitchen needs if you're willing to browse a variety of sections.
Cool stuff!! Unfortunately I've never found anything I needed there, but I love to look! The staff is helpful and will direct you to other places to look if they don't have something specific you're looking for.
Always fun stuff, friendly staff, mostly mid-century modern with high prices...but if you look long enough you can find some bargains.
Good selection of vintage items but unfortunately we were looking more for antiques. I did find a couple things I was interested in as well but I felt it was a tad pricey.
Great selection of vintage items. Wide range of prices from inexpensive retro stuff to high end Paul McCobb furniture.
Place is a little hidden but a nice break from traditional antique stores. The prices seem to get better the further back you get. Some prices a little extreme.
Small but clean and well organized. Great selection of mid century furniture if that's your thing.
Great place to find that special something. As an artist I was on the hunt for my next canvas.... What will I do with what I found??? Check me out on Instagram @artbysimms to find out!
Love The Green Shag. Always well organized and lots of mid century finds. My favorite is going around Christmas to see all the vintage holiday stuff.
We were really impressed with the amount of quality mid-century stuff here. Lots of high quality vintage designer furniture.
Items priced lower than expected. The selection is so vast, there's easily something for everyone. Yes you can go in with 10 bucks and find something you like.
Small so I cant go as often as I'd like but very unique and cool finds not just junk like some antique shops
Lots of furnishing and fashion vendors sell here, all with different styles and focuses. Truly something here for everyone. Prices are competitive and the community is close knit.
Great little flea market. Prices are a bit high but worth the brouse.
Love this place! So many rare and quality vintage items, great people, good pricing.
We went for our first time, had a great time looking around, fantastic selection and all of it was good quality, clean, and fun. We will be back...
This place is fantastic! Good pricing and wide variety of items. I will definitely be back to buy some furniture

I like the Green Shag Market. I've gotten a few things there. There is a lot to look at, but like someone else said, it can be pricey. lol The staff is very helpful and friendly!!
Friendly staff and lots of wonderful treasures for a wide audience. Not to be missed for the local vintage/antique collector.
