I love Joann's! Great prices and products every time. The only problem I've ever had there is at the cashier. It's either a sullen millenial with bad hair, bad skin, and piercings that's unbelievably rude, or a super slow senior citizen that wants to tell you her whole life story. How she's overworked and underpaid, and that the store is always freezing cold. And no matter how long the checkout line is, you only get ONE cashier.

I am so happy that the Sioux Falls store has reopened after last year's tornado destroyed it. It was crazy busy today, but employees were patient and helpful. Great fabric selections and new store layout made shopping a breeze.

Huge selection of fabric- as well as pretty much anything you can dream up when it comes to crafting. My go-to craft store in Sioux Falls. I will say, though, that it often seems a bit understaffed for how busy it is (or at least when I’m there). Line is usually pretty backed up, and checking out can take up to 15 minutes by the time you get to the front of the line. But besides that, great craft store.

The size of this store and the product selection is fine here. The reason I give 4 stars is because I have repeatedly been frustrated with the staff being slow at the checkout. The line is almost always long and the checkout process seems to take longer than it should. When picking up an online order, I have to wait in the regular line, saving me no time or convenience. Half the workers know how to handle an online pickup and the other half call a manager to the front and have to be shown how to handle it on their system even though it only requires me to show my ID. They can do the rest when I leave as far as I know

The store is great very nice staff helping the customers but there's only one little thing I don't like about the store it does not have room 4 crafting products. I think you guys need to expand... Have one in Sioux Falls as as big as a football field or two football fields but outside of that I love you products you just don't have enough space in the store.

I like Joann's because they're condensed. They have a nice selection of products in a store that isn't expansive. However, I often have to make substitutions for what I want because they don't have exactly what I envisioned. It's not usually a problem, the projects always turn out beautiful. The products are extremely high quality and the staff is always very friendly and happy to help.

I needed specific ribbon colors to match the colors chosen for a wedding. While they do have a lot of ribbon, it is more so several types of ribbon of the same shade of green or yellow, vs several shades. In my opinion, it would be nice if they stopped trying to have a little of everything, and focused on being the best fabric store and leave the craft store title to Hobby Lobby. There just isn't space for both. That being said they do run a clean store.

Clean and can quickly find what I'm looking for. Workers are not hard to locate if I have a question. I buy a lot of cardstock and there always seems to be a sale happening. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The few times I've been to this location the fabrics are disorganized or all over the place. As a former Joann employee it looks so bad. Workers are usually talking with other employees. Some are rude and one time near closing time the manager started taking money our the register when there was still costumers in the store with is a big no no in policy. I only come when I have to.

We came to Sioux Falls to shop for some fabric for blankets for the kids for Christmas, I thought Walmart would be the best for the money but my husband thought we should go to JoAnns and also take a look around, they had so much variety there that we ended up buying all of our material there and the gal helping us let is know of some additional coupons we could use to help is save even more! The kids loved their blankets and I saved enough to buy more material for a blanket for myself! Would recommend going here for any material you may need and check out their ads for sales!

JoAnn's is the best place in town for a great selection of sewing items. Where Michael's falls short in fabric selection, JoAnn's more than makes up for. The staff, in the few times I've gone, were incredibly friendly, and very happy to help when I have questions. The best thing in my opinion is that they ask what you're making and sound generally interested, sometimes even having they're own past experiences to share to help you out! All in all, JoAnn's is easily one of my favorite craft stores in Sioux Falls.

Large store that is always understaffed. 2 people cutting fabrics with lines, one person on a register with long line and no general floor help. Doesn't matter what time of day or what day of the week, still situation. Large selection of goods with lack of competition is what keeps us going back.

I don't know if anyone will read this- but I hope someone does and notifies the manager at this location. I came to Joann's to find a specific color and fabric for curtains. After finding the perfect color and price for fabric, I got a number for the cutting table line. I walked around the store for 20 minutes waiting even though there was only a handful of others in the store. After a while, I got curious and went to the table only to find that I had been skipped, my number never called, and the employee cutting fabric with another employee who was in picking up her paycheck. They chatted while I stood there, and she finally proceeded to help me. I asked her if she could get the blackout drapery lining roll for me, (because I'm 39 weeks pregnant) with a confused look she pointed to where they were and told me I could help myself. I told her I needed 2 sets of 2 yards of fabric cut, she first cut a yard and handed it to me. I told her there was some mistake, and after a minute of staring she said, "oh! that's one yard'. She cut another 2 yards and then rolled out the last yard of the fabric and realized there wasn't enough because of her error. She pulled out another roll and said she'll just use that, but the colors were off. She told me I'd have to go find another option. I finally did find something similar (not nearly as suitable) but for more cost, and she offered me nothing. Someone else (thankfully) cut it for me because she was busy. And this same woman grabbed the lining for me. At the checkout, as I was about to pay I asked the cashier if I could use any of the coupons from the ad. She told me the ad's coupons weren't eligible for another week, and I needed to find last week's. So I looked, and she stood there annoyed saying they must be gone and there's nothing I can do. I asked her for change for cash, even though I was paying with credit card, she said when I paid she'd get it. Then she acted dumbfounded because she would need a manager to get change after she already checked me out. She said, 'Well.. I could ask a manager up here.... if that's what you really want.." I left the store, got in my car and realized I had a 40% coupon from online. So I took it in, even though I was nice and patient, she said she would have to return something and repurchase it.. as if it was a huge inconvenience, and I said sure. Finally, I could leave! What an exhausting time. Terrible customer service!! And it's not like these were young, ignorant workers, these were older women who seemed to know what they were doing in a fabric store. Wrong. Too bad there aren't a whole lot of other options in Sioux Falls for fabric.

Sweet young lady helped me look for buttons for a blouse. Even looked online when I couldn't find ones like I had. When I was ready to give up she suggested maybe moving a current button to one of the missing and then replace the 2 missing with new ones. Great idea! Didn't catch her name but glad she was there!
