Reviews of Daiso Japan
This store provides cheap, high-quality, and unique items that you hardly find in any other stores. I bought some cotton pads, and they are super cheap compared to other stores. Everything is neat, clean, and stocked. The downside is that the store is small when many people come simultaneously. There are not many parking spots, so you need to find them around. Besides that, it is located near Uwajimaya, which is convenient for travelers like me. I highly recommend this place to everyone
We don't have any Daisos around us so we always stop by one when we're in the Seattle area. Always a super fun selection of items. Got some nice glassware for a very affordable price on the most recent visit.
This store has a lot of cool, random household items, most for $1.50. It's great when you need a cheap version of some particular product or tool. The chain deserves 5 stars, but this particular location is below par. The customer service is non-existent. And for some reason, the employees there love to work in 100 degree temps. I can only shop there for 10 minutes at a time.
Definitely enjoyed the stationery section and picked up a few cute mechanical pencils. Found the store to be a bit claustrophobic, especially while it was crowded, so just a heads up if you use a wheelchair or mobility aid that this store isn't accessible.
I love daiso. This one is small and extremely crowded, though. Parking is pretty much non existent. Maybe worth it if you are already shopping at nearby uwajimaya. I would recommend going to the one in north seattle. Nothing wrong with the store, its just my least favorite location.
Great place for things you didn’t know you needed. I just wish they allowed returns. Sometimes you just get a bin or container that doesn’t fit exactly right and you wish you could exchange it or return it but you can’t.
Omg it's so fun! And also right next to uwajimaya. Very cute place to get fun trinkets for yourself and friends. Also lots of practical items for around the house
This place has a little bit of everything! The staff are very friendly, too. The store is clean and it would be tough to navigate in a wheelchair, but it could be done. Great housewares and gifts at affordable prices. The parking is also confusing due to some construction and I didn't see any accessible parking spots, but there's a bus station nearby.
This place is definitely on my top 3 places to visit when in Seattle. It’s right across the street from Uwajimaya, so you can visit them both in one stop.
Most of the items in Daiso only cost $1.75. There is a little bit of everything available here: toys, beauty products, travel items, candy, drinks, stickers- you name it.
I spent about 45 minutes in here, but I could have easily spent another hour. Be sure to carve out enough time to spend in this little shop.
Lots of small selection of items that you can find here such as arts and crafts, kitchenware and cookware, snacks etc.. There is a small price converter throughout the store in case you are confused how much the items are worth. Most things are fairly priced. If you are walking in the area , it doesn’t hurt to stop by for a few minutes !
During the current Dec 2020 pandemic lockdown they only allow 8 people in the store at a time.
Cards and cash accepted.
If you've never been, Daiso is like a $1.50 store stocked with items from Asian countries (mostly China and Japan). They do have some items priced higher, but they are tagged as such. If there's no tag it's $1.50.
Very eclectic product offering that varies on the season and their supplies.
Most items are cheaply made, but what do you expect for $1.50?!? I've always found items to be functional though.
You can get kitchen and home items (dishes, cutting mats, laundry bags, sponges, hampers, etc), storage options (plastic baskets and lidded boxes), gift bags, cards, wrapping paper, small toys/gifts, and make-up related stuff (fake eyelashes, eyeshadow, makeup brushes).
When I was in my twenties I would get a lot of kitchen/household items here. I still go for laundry bags (to put in the wash), gift bags, and the occasional small gift items (washi tape, fun shaped erasers, etc).
Great place to bring a kid or teen where they can get a big haul of fun items for $10.
I always end up getting snack food here too. They have doriyaki and other snacks.
Huge variety of items from household items to stationery and kitchen items. I love their utensils, they are very unique and very pretty.
Best Daiso store. Customer service was also the best.
Always awesome.
I get a lot of my topperwears, storage things like baskets and gloves there, very cheap but still very nice quality. I got these rice storage things for my rice, and to store my hamsters food. So convenient. My favorite.
Love this place 😍. They have so many things, an exceptional customer service and prices start a $1.50 👌👍! …
What a cute little store! Large variety of interesting imported candies and drinks, along with a very robust home and kitchen section make this place a must-see!
daiso is the best, this one is tiny as a little bucket and always full of people, tourists. but hey i got a gallon jug of water for 1$ and cheap, high quality kitchen goods so WHATEVER. staff is awesome and patient considering how busy it is. thanks a lot!
I love this place and it looks so nice and they have so much fun this year 😊 …
Daiso is better than any American dollar store. I always find something useful. Here is a photo of something funny but in general I go there for small household and other items.
Love Daiso. Large selection and good quality. Prices are great.
Love love love this place.. I can lose hours here everytime I go. <3
A very interesting place for nick nacks at very inexpensive prices. I think you'll like it just to look at the selection of wonderful things you can find. Worth the time and certainly the bucks.
Saw a lot of cool goodies and Japanese products for cheap. They have a wide array of different products like various cups, sauce trays, clothes, trinkets, Japanese candies, etc. The aisles are a bit tight but it’s clean and well lit inside. The parking lot was closed for some reason when I went last week but I went across the street to park at Uwajimaya instead.
An improved DollarTree style store. Things start at $1,75
I was so excited to finally make it into a Daiso, but the experience I was expecting was not as rewarding as I thought it would be. The location is lackluster, store is tight and compact and everything seems to be overpriced for a Daiso. Customer service was subpart which does not surprise me anymore in any Asian facility. Life goes on but the cashier at checkout was nicer than I anticipated that was nice🙂.
They have a nice assortment of chopsticks, bento boxes essentials that is a lot more affordable than at the big U.along with some knick knacks for souvenirs that are well suited for the young ones.
One of the many ¥100 shops (a "dollar store" equivalent) native to Japan. Ironically everything in this store is almost double the price of what you'd get it for at a Daiso in Japan. Most things are around $1.50 or more. That being said, the quality of the goods in this store are far higher than you would find in a Dollar General or Dollar Tree. A much wider selection than you might expect.
It’s okay if you need a quick item or 2. Quality is what you can expect for paying $1.50. Was able to use cash or card and when I looked around the store was well stocked. Cashier was friendly. No a/c and it was a hot day. Hope the employees are okay!
i love daiso! the perfect place to get cute household, beauty, organization, and art supplies. i give it a 4 mainly because i wish this store location is bigger!! it’s a pretty small daiso and the selection is quite limited compared to bigger daiso locations (like the one on roosevelt)
A good Daiso that has its largest section with home goods, where some focus on snacks or even the art supplies.
Their selection changes pretty regularly, for a Daiso. If you see something you're not sure about buying but would be sad to miss out on, pick it up.
Basically the Chinese/Japanese equivalent of the American "Dollar- Store". Only Daiso has a base price of
$1.50. Better quality goods cost a little more. Not much though. Very good prices. I shop there often.
This is basically a Japanese dollar store...well, dollar fifty store to be exact! They have things ranging from cups and plates and kitchen utensils to dolls and stationary and pens. This was my go-to spot to buy Hi-Chew candy before the American retailers had it. You'll definitely find something you need for $1.50!
>Wide< variety of inexpensive (but not "cheap") goods. Friendly, helpful staff. Recommended.
Great variety of imported goods, cookware, storage solutions, art supplies, to name a few. PLEASE NOTE: Their reciepts say no returns, exchanges and speaking with them, they enforce this unless products are defective. Also some of their dishware has heavy metals in it so should only be used for decorative purposes. These are labeled and I feel the quality on the rest of their products is great.
I love the store because it's the only thing I know that I can do with my 16 year old daughter that makes her smile at me.
I love this store! They always have a cool selection of all kinds of household items, school supplies, gifts, toys, and I like getting their face masks sometimes too, a number of which are thankfully cruelty-free. I like to get the little plastic trays, baskets or cloth containers for organizing miscellaneous things and papers at home in my cabinets, on shelves, my desk, and table. I love that most things in the store are just $1.50. Some items are a little more and that's ok because they are usually still so reasonably priced.
My daughter loves this place for a ton of cool stickers and gadgets. I love the place for being able to afford all the cool things that make her smile.
Dollar store products but more different selections and prices over priced !
I love this store. I find incredibly random, inexpensive, useful things here. It's the kind of place you just stumble over something you might not have thought you needed (and need might be a strong word here) but you were happy you found it. And its easy to find little gifts for people here, if you're into that kind of stocking stuffer, thinking of you, type of little gift!
Great place for stationary, organizing, and small gifts. So cute! Always a nice selection of Disney, Hello Kitty/Sanrio, and Japanese folk craft design.
OMG I love Diaso!! I find the best gifts here and everything is soooo inexpensive.
Small selection compared to other DAISO stores in the area. Some of the employees there are rude with poor customer service skills. They charge 0.20 for a small bag during pandemic and the true actual prices are not marked on the items. Also, NO parking! U must pay on side street to park or park blocks away to get to the store. Not worth the hassle. I'd recommend going to the one near Roosevelt Street a little north from this one!
Ahh, the Daiso. For anyone who has no idea what a Daiso is, you can walk inside and still never know. Think of it like... a general store, of sorts. You never really know what Daiso is going to liscence or get their hands on, so every trip is full of different items. Cherry blossom ceramic dining plates one visit, and Winnie the Pooh garden ornaments the next.. Don't make the mistake of thinking you'll come back for something, it most likely won't be there. They make some truly quality stuff, I've always been very happy with the dining implements, kitchen gadgets, bathroom amenities, and stationary I find there.
Was not impressed with the selection in this location, compared to the store at the Commons in Federal Way.
Love this place. If you've been to one on Japan, this is a mini version and full of bargains!
Daiso is like the “Dollar General”of Japan. This one has lots of Japanese household and personal goods. Not quite as much as you’d find in Japan but still worth a visit to find something you didn’t know you needed.
This place is awesome, all kind of Japanese trinkets, i went in to look around and spent about $50.00 bucks before i knew it and it was okay 🆗👍🏽 so yeah it's a $1.50 minimum nothing more than $6.00 Loved It. …
I grew up in Southern California, where Daiso kicked off it's US venture. I've always loved shopping there. I moved to the Midwest several years ago, so coming across this Daiso during my Seattle vacation was exciting! This Daiso is a bit smaller than the ones I'm used to, but it is still pretty awesome! The variety of items is great, the staff are few, but nice. Prices on some of the items over $1.50 are a bit astronomical, but most of the $1.50 items are worth every penny. Be cautious of this though: if you're buying an item in packaging & cannot clearly tell if the item is still in the package, ask a staff member to open the box/package for you BEFORE you purchase. I bought a small glass item, assuming the box had what it said it had, just to find that is was empty when I got back to my hotel. Luckily, Daiso staff were really understanding about it and let me get the item I bought when I returned to the store with the empty box and my receipt.
It used to be 5 stars, but I discovered the Roosevelt and Federal Way stores! It's still a great selection of both frivolous and useful quality item, but it is also still TOO TINY!
This isn't your run of the mill $1.50 store, they have quality items along with cheap stuff. Like dishes.. classy square, white plates and bowls for $3 and under, (they have plastic silverware and disposable dishes as well), fairly good chef knives, all kinds of things for kitchens, bedroom or office organization, school and art supplies, make-up, hats/gloves/socks/ holiday decorations, gifts, etc. I save a ton of money all year here, but especially at Christmas when I need stocking stuffers and mugs to fill with treats for adults I don't know well enough to get real gifts for. The only area that's disappointing is the toys, but that's to be expected. It's a bit cramped while busy, they don't have parking anymore, but worth the hassle.
Good quality items for cheap!
This is a fun store. I especially love the journals. Things I have bought over the years at Daiso, grass mats, kid chopsticks, sink mesh strainer, steel food containers, hand exercisers, snacks, canned coffee, bag to put ice in, cheap eye shadow just for fun, calendar, hair clips, a giant mug and garden stakes.
I love to see the new products that come in.
They have so many odds and ends. When I first moved to the area I was able to get many things I needed. This is a very small store, but they manage to pack a lot into it.
Wide selection of household items, a majority of which are available for only $1.50. Various items at slightly higher price also available, but vast majority are just $1.50. Think of this as the "Japanese Dollar Tree" with a lot of stuff not available elsewhere (much of it of an overall higher quality than what you generally find at typical U.S. dollar stores.) Great China, dishes & cookware selection at reasonable prices.
Cute little fun store where most items are 1.50 usd for kitchen, cleaning, restroom essentials and general home comfort stuff. Very good value in general. Cooking pan and paring knife work great! Thank you for being in business.
Great place to get inexpensive household odds and ends and Japanese specific merchandise. Most things are $1.50, but all sales are final. Very cute office supplies and kitchen/dining items. Plus they have tons of Pocket variety.
I am a HUGE fan of Daiso stores. THIS Daiso is undersized, cramped and doesn't carry enough consistent merch compared to the ones out in the burbs or the one in Roosevelt Square. Not to mention the dearth of parking, free or otherwise.
This Daiso has a nice selection of home goods, such as kitchenware, cleaning supplies, and dishes. However their stationery selection is more limited than the downtown location; in general I feel that the ID store is stocked less often. Daiso is a great option for seasonal merchandise, as they always have something for every holiday and you don't feel bad about donating/discarding it later because it was only a couple dollars!
Everything's $1.50! Almost everything, some things are a few dollars more but every time I visit I am amazed at what is $1.50 I picked up some cute kitchen-ware for $1.50, there is a great assortment of food related items, dishes and utensils from simple to ornate. A couple isles of cosmetics that I can't tell you anything about. As a broke student I really enjoy this store when I need a bit of retail therapy. All sales are final so pick carefully, but if you don't then you won't be out a fortune. I don't expect to purchase any future heirlooms at the store, but cheap simple items that always keep me smiling. I really like the boxing kangaroo pens.
If you have never been to Daiso, this place is like heaven. I love it here, and even though its small, I can spend ages here. The items are all handy and quirky and actually not terrible quality, depending on what you get. Cute arts and crafts items like felting projects.
Daiso is a gem. It's sort of like a dollar store, but with really cheap Japanese products! They also have other products that are more expensive.
Daiso is a must stop if you're ever in the area! Almost everything here is $1.50 unless posted as another price but it's still super low prices. A lot of things here are super useful, stuff for the kitchen, the bathroom, the garden to the car and of course snacks! The great thing is that a lot of it is pretty durable and compact for those smaller living spaces.
The best "dollar store" ever. They've got just about everything you could need for your household or office, and it'll likely be adorable and original to boot! Besides, you can't beat pretty good quality items for $1.50 that you would otherwise spend at least a few bucks or more for.
A smaller Daiso shop for sure, but they had exactly what I was looking for. I thought parking was going to be an issue on a Sunday but everything worked out perfectly.
Lots of merchandise to choose from and good for crafting supplies. It's almost like a dollar store, but prices range. Staff are friendly and helpful, but be prepared for the lack of parking. There is only street parking or paid lots, so it can be challenging to find parking close to the store.
This store has everything you can't find anywhere else
It is an excellent resource to have .
Not as big a store with as wide a selection as the Daiso's I'm used to in California, but here everything is stocked well, customer service is good, and covid protocols are being followed. I always leave with 2x the amount of things I came for XD, not sure if good or not haha.
Crowded, cheap and fun. Everything you're looking for in your consumer shopping experience. Also the quality may seem suspect, but if you stop and consider how many things you've bought for loads more that pretty much matched the cheap stuff for longevity, well, just think of your poor bank account rocking back and anxious forth. You're welcome.
They don't take apple pay... some places in this area are cash only, so that's understandable. But especially since other places in Seattle don't take cash at all because of Covid, most people don't carry cash nowadays, so that's really inconvenient. The main problem is that I have come in and multiple times the card reader has been broken. So when I do bring my card I can't even use it. I'm not going to stop by the ATM or bank to shop here... I love this store and I understand there can be technical difficulties but I live far and it's disappointing to walk in and not be able to purchase anything the few times I get to visit.
I like Daiso. It's a Japanese dollar (fifty) store. The stuff is pretty high quality for the price. I've bought scissors, a nutcracker, and random odds and ends here. The place is clean too.
Take a look if you have time!
After studying abroad in Japan, nothing comes close to the real Japanese ¥100 shop, though this is a great step above the average dollar store. Everything from stationery, home goods, crafting & food is available for $2.50+
I do have to note that Richmond, Canada (2. 5-3 hrs away) has the real deal, with nicer decor & 2-stories of goodies, though items are also not for $1 like the real shops in Japan.
I love this place!! The prices are reasonable...since their items are mostly imported from Japan. The staff are always nice. Will definitely go back.
Though small, this is a fun store across the street from Uwajimaya grocery. You will find things here that you won't elsewhere, merchandise available in Japan.
The concept is that everything (unless marked otherwise) costs $1.50. Most recently I bought an organizer box for use to hold my car cleaning products. We buy hangers for our sweaters. These hangers are wrapped thickly so that the sweaters don't get "points" in the shoulders. We also buy garment covers for jackets that will spend a long time without use. The covers keep the dust off. There is a nice selection of ceramic mugs and bowls and a limited selection of urban garden gear. We go here a lot just for the fun of browsing.
I have not interacted much with the staff. they are mostly young persons and mostly work at the registers. No complaints! They seem nice enough and they are quick.
It's basically a japanese dollar store, but in Japan, they are called 100 yen stores, and that usually equals about a buck and a half, so most everything is a buck and a half.
If you live in a small place, you're going to go to Diaso a lot. It's pretty much everything you need to survive, but smaller. Think department store inside the TARDIS, except the TARDIS isn't all that much bigger on the inside. Any metaphor taken too far, inevitably breaks down.
Many people just go for the candy.
The Japanese take on the dollar store concept, except much more fun! I can't take my whole wallet with me or I'd break my budget! If you're living in a studio or small space, this is your store. No one designs better for living small than the Japanese... beautiful items for everyday and special use, and the best gifts. I'm in here every week!
This is a cool little store to find all sorts of little Trinkets and doodads and such but overall this is not a store that I would go to if I wasn't looking for something specific that I couldn't find anywhere else but the store that is the thing that makes it very cool and has a selection that you definitely wouldn't find at any other store the help was okay but at times I felt like they were more watching me to make sure I wasn't you know like stealing all their $2 merchandise versus actually trying to help me but that's part of how it goes I guess and you know it really makes a person feels very uncomfortable when they're just trying to do some shopping and they have no intentions of doing anything with malice or discontent I know loss prevention can't always discern people's actions but they should be able to observe behaviors and get some idea and indicators if they are a common shoplift. Other than that check out the store
Base prices have increased from$1.50 to 1.75. Still a bargain!
Love this place! They have cheap, adorable household items and other random things you may need (slippers, pens, trash cans). I always stop by to pick up some snacks - everything here is Mostly (emphasize mostly) $1.50 unless otherwise marked. If it isn’t, it is clearly labeled though. They also have little knick knacks like solar powered characters that sit in the window or keychains.
For the price its amazing. Things however tend to rotate often so sometimes they won't have the same thing there .
Edit.
Just recently they raised the prices by .25 on every item
I like this place. It's a Japanese "Five & Dime". With higher quality stuff. You can find all kinds of stuff here. The inventory changes constantly but you can always find kitchen gadgets and spacial organizers here.
Brightly lit place. Extremely crowded every visit I made. Workers always seem to stock and add to problems maneuvering narrow aisles. But lots of things from Japan or China. Kitchen ware, snacks, cosmetics, or gadgets for very reasonable cost.
I really like Daiso... But it would be great to have a full size location here
Daiso is the Asian version of the dollar store. All items there are dollar 50 unless price otherwise. They carry things like rice cookers and serving bowls that are more than a dollar fifty but they are clearly marked. All the items come from the Japanese aestheticare point of you so there are adorable school supplies and Bento boxes the claws to tie them in and all the little dividers in Silicon. They have an outstanding selection of Japanese style and Japanese items. I love popping in even if it's just to get a bubble soda or whether I need a new coffee mug that is adorable for work. The really hard thing to do is get out without at least 10 Things I didn't come for. They carry an amazing selection of items. I highly recommend it for anyone who is visiting and does not live near or Daiso.
They have practical homewares (especially for the kitchen), simple craft and office supplies, make up and toys! And more! Some items are logical, some are silly and some just baffle me. I love going to Daiso!
This location was very tiny compared to others I have ever been. Many items were not found here. I am not sure if they were not sold here or it was just because of the bad display.
Besides that, parking here was not very easy even though they have several spots in front of their store. Sometimes they would block these parking spots right in front of them for some unknown reason.
Daiso is like a Japanese dollar store ($1.50 now). It has some cute stuff, but the Daiso's in Tokyo had so much more cool stuff! I went in here looking to be blown away like how I was in Shibuya, but the American ones seem very cheap compared to the original Japanese versions.
Japanese own Dollar Store. Most things cost a dollar fifty but some a little more. All imported from Japan. A lot of cool trinkets that you could give for gifts along with housewares and other novelties.
Daiso was great! The cashiers are super nice and patient. They got what I need and more.
Love the place. So many good buys, for unbeatable price and the stuff from there is way better quality than from a traditional dollar store. I love all the pretty asain women that work there too. Always nice always happy to be there for you. Love the place.
I am a east coast girl who loves Daiso! When ever I find myself in Asia or the west coast I go in search of this place! This one in particular had alot of good food stuff and drinks. If you have never been to a Daiso I say give it a look!
Lots of unique and useful items for cheap!
Be warned, the store doesn't limit customers or enforce masks. Very crowded in a smaller store.

My impression is that this store is a Japanese-style dollar store. It right near Uwajimaya and we stumbled upon it while wasting time waiting for the bus. You can find all kinds of stuff here that you could never find in the US equivalents. If you like browsing random stuff this will be fun for you. I picked up some kitchen gadgets and cheap cups. Some stuff is pretty cute!
Daiso is the quintessential asian dollar store. It has everything you could ever expect to find in a space as small as it is: apparel, cookware, tools, food, drink, candy, etc. I always try and swing by when I'm in the neighborhood. Parking is very limited!
Diaso is a $1.50 store from Japan. Like our dollar stores almost everything is a dollar fifty. Anything that isn't is clearly marked. They have everything from cosmetics and toys to art supplies and cooking equipment. I even bought my dish set here. Including cups, mugs, sake set, dinner and salad plates, sauce dishes, chop sticks, serving wear, knives and a few extras I have a set for 6 under $100
dog they have like stereo earbuds for $1.50 thats pretty sick and you would think they sound like my shower curtains but they sound pretty good on my phone
We love going to Daiso and getting some pretty cool things cheap. This isn't your standard dollar store. On our recent visit to this location we were surprised to see that you can no longer park your car in the parking lot because it is reserved for the retirement home. I guess we will be going to the Daiso at Southcenter Mall from now on.
This store has to be my #1 store to recommend to ANYone for almost ANYthing! When you can go to another (unnamed) store and find virtually the same items Daiso carries (if not identical then at least in function) being sold for an excruciatingly high price, there's no doubt in my mind Daiso is the gold mine of all convenience stores. And half the time I find my self preferring Daiso brand items over the overpriced brands out there. [/tangent]
That as Kool lil Nick nacks all the lil stuff that you need but don't have yet something lil useful. You can get carried away fast just lil items 1.50 to 3.00 dollars merchandise is as is so no returns on items.
This International District location is pretty small, but they fit in it as much as possible. I came here to buy all my bowls and plates and walked out spending way less than I would have anywhere else. The bowls and plates have lasted over a year now and show no signs of wear.
How cool is this place? Lots of unique goods from Japan at good prices and superb service.
We had way too much fun finding cool gifts and toys for friends.
I want you to close your eyes and imagine a dollar store where everything the store has to sell is actually useful. Okay, got that image in your head? Excellent. Now open your eyes. Congratulations - you're at Daiso!
It's a store thst sell chinease stuff. The have several products: food, dinnerware, coolware, bakery, household, personal care, cleaning , plastics, pet products, sewing, stationery, jewerly products. The base price is 1.5 and above. You can fibd good things and other are just cheap products, but is a good option if you want to save money. The place is little but it works.
It's one of the smallest Daiso stores I've been in, the other location downtown is just as tiny. Oh well, it has the basic essentials for storage, kitchen, and stationary.
Smaller than I was hoping but still amazing!
I LOVE this place! I visit once every few weeks. The stock is constantly changing, so if you find something you love, buy it up. Cheap products, but not always cheap quality. Definitely a staple.
Even though this location is small it still has a very good selection of items. However be warned if it’s busy you will certainly not be 6 feet from anyone.
Came here when I first moved to Seattle 3 years ago. Thought it was mediocre at best, boxes strewn across the floor, poor organization, just cramming every ounce of potential shelf space into a tiny unit not meant for that type of foot traffic. 3 years later, the place has finally gotten rid of it's boxes on the floor. You're able to maneuver between aisles and there is some sense of departmental organization. Sad to say this is still a poor representation of the Daiso experience: colorfully organized and neat, inspiring individuals to buy into that creativity in home and life organization and multi function displayed by unique simplicity. Having been to a number of them across southern California and in Vancouver, this one is just a poor attempt at trying to provide that experience.
Super busy - first days of opening AND Daiso Westlake is gone. Found what I needed, but very busy and not so much social distancing.
Small but great selection and location. Love the prices and surprises. Doesn't matter that I don't understand what most stuff is at first glance. It just adds to the fun to try and figure it out.
Great "dollar store" type household items one always needs when travelling via Amtrak etc. Also a good source of Japanese snacks...just like a trip to a Hawaii or Japanese 7/11
It's small, but has just about everything you would need for cosmetics, snacks, and miscellaneous tools you would use at home. If you are looking for cheap but effective products, you came to the right place.
The biggest Daiso with the most stuff
Nice little east. If you are from Canada, can compare this with dollar store but better quality and less quantity as shops are often small compared to dollar store. Although you will get most of your eastern fantasies.
Cute little Japanese dollar store! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I've been to the one in Federal Way, WA and that one has a lot more variety.
Dollar store on crack - not your run of the mill store with garbage for a dollar. Get bowls for your kitchen or a squeegee for your shower. Pricing is amazing if you can find the right things for your house.
Hello everyone,
I have been reading a lot of your comments about the branch that I work at, and thank you for giving me a perspective of how everyone feels about the International District branch.
1) Just a brief overview to those confused as to why stocks are always low at my branch: Although we would love to have a filled store, we unfortunetly have no control over recieving shipment. We have to wait until the warehouse can ship the items to us. So please be patient :)
2) I apologize on the behalf of my coworkers and perhaps me, for any rude or off putting feedback when you all ask a simple question. We are always understress of customers that give us the wrong tone to the point where we stress that negativity onto good people like yourselves. We also have a lot on our minds since most of us are actually college students trying to support ourselves and paying for school on time. Hence why we can be seen as stressed. So tust me, itʻs not your fault, itʻs always someone/thing bothering us.
3) WE HAVE NEW ITEMS SO PLEASE CHECK IT OUT! :D
4) Dont be afraid to call us if you are looking for something, we are actually chill with helping on that end. ;)
5) THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH LOYAL AND HONEST PEOPLE! KEEP SPREADING THAT LOVE! <3
HOPE TO SEE ANYONE OF YʻALL AT DAISO!
- Kai
Cheapskates' delight. Always fun, if a bit heavy on plastic. Look for shrinking section with traditional Japanese toys and sundries. Bought loads of Christmas presents here!
Great deals , neat things, items I've never seen before or even new idea options , def. Not the common dollar store , like it a lot
Parking is a problem. The inside lacks space to move around and the aisles fit one person at a time. I can't help but still go because of the unique household items not available in local groceries.
Excellent place for Japanese trinkets of all kinds, school supplies, kitchen, bathroom..... we always stop here.
LOVE THIS STORE...50 million times better than the dollar store, so awesome & cheerful colors. Only thing I dislike is the employees watch younger teenagers that aren't asian and makes me feel really embarrassed
I was disappointed with selection at the International store in Seattle. In fact, I used to love shopping at Diaso. I have gotten numerous cooking and gardening gadgets. But the stores in the seattle area don't seem to think they are important anymore.
The prices are only 1.50, and has good Japanese products. The service was good and the store can get busy too. I always find something new there.
Small store but had what we were looking for. Right across the street from Uwajimayas. Make sure to being your own shopping bag. 0.20 for a brown bag that broke on the way out, lol. Happy shopping!
The staff have been kind and efficient every time I've been here. The store can get rather cramped as there's a large selection, and that subtracts from the handicapped accessibility, yet I still love it here.
Love Dosios Cheap for one.it is where I got all my storage and organizing stuff PITCHER frames are wood ones and way better then the dollar store and its bigger then the one by uwjiamia Can I say I love This place.
So much stuff to chose from. I use Daiso for all my home needs
Fun store with many interesting Japanese imported items.
What a great place to buy snacks, kitchen products, paper products, art products, and athletic supplies. I hope the staff are getting a decent wage.
I love all the different things you can buy here. Most for a $1.50 some times cheaper or more expensive depending on the item. One of my fav stores in Seattle.
This is Japanese version of the dollar store. The layout is a little tight, but the selections are pretty good, it’s like a small and cheaper versions of bed bath and beyond.
This place gets busy but it's worth going. Avoid weekends like the plague unless you go early. Cheap and unique goods sold here - Bring a big bag!
unique Dollar Storefriendly staff clean store and the price is right
It's a Japanese dollar store with lots of great stuff! I love coming by to see what cute kitchen supplies I can find.
They have reinforced glass that fits my phone like a glove, not an easy feat since I don't have a leading model
knick knacks, stationary, other stuff, and it's all super cheap and all interesting
Small and warm place with various products. It limits the traffic in the pandemic so there might be a short line
I love this place! They're always really nice to me. Everything here is affordable.
I normally love Daiso.. it was quite what I was expecting compared to the stores in California or Japan. It was fine enough, just a lot to be desired.
Large selection of low-cost goods. Plenty of fun snacks. Better than your average "dollar store."
This place is awesome. They sell everything you didn't realize you didn't need but needed to buy. Individual banana carrying box anyone?
I absolutely love this store! So many Japanese products I can't get anywhere else. I shop here regularly.
Amazing shopping experience. Cheap supplies and decorations. Everything is normally $1.50 unless it has a tag saying other wise
It's tiny and the selection is smaller than other Daiso. I give it four stars because it has parking and is close to Uwajimaya.
Small but carries a lot of useful things you might want from travel stuff to kitchen gadgets to glassware.
Wonderful little store with unexpectedly useful items!!
Cool little store that has low cost items. Lots of cool candy to choose from.
Japanese dollar stores is a wonderful thing, and this the only one I know of in Seattle. We often get kitchenwares here.
Nice compact store, great selection of items my main problem with this location is that there's no parking for customers.
I just like this store. It has so many cute stuff for really cheap.
A great "dollar" type store. The products are helpful usable and 1.50$ (unless specifically marked)
Love this little neighborhood store you will be surprised.
The closest to 100 yen stores of Japan. Everything is $1.50 unless otherwise stated. Can get so much for very little. Plus, things you will rarely see, such as a food bag closure pressure.
Love the cute Japanese things they have in this place
Fun place to shop. Lots of random Japanese good. I'm a big fan of their ridiculously detailed animal erasers
Wish I needed more stuff so I could shop here more often. Great if you're starting out on a budget.
They didn't have what I was looking for, but still a very charming little store. Will return.
If you need inexpensive organizers for your home, visit here. It can be a little daunting with all the products they have.
Not the best daiso location, lacking selection and store was dimly lit
I 💘 REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE IT IS AMAZING THANK YOU AND HAVE A WONDERFUL MEMORIAL DAY TODAY GOD BLESS YOUS ALL AMEN …
Nice dollar store straight from Japan. Good deals on neat steals !
Daiso is like Dollar tree but the Japanese version. Lots of interesting items can be found there.
Such a cool store. Very easy to find what you want and great prices.
I love this place! It makes me feel like I'm back in Japan shopping at one of the myriad market stalls in Tokyo.
I love this store. It has some things that you would think would be hard to find and they only cost $1.50.
Very small store. Not much there.
Great selection. Clean store and polite staff.
This is Berk good and bad because I can go in here needing one item and spend $50. Is super wide variety of things that you need.
Most things are $1.50. This is like the dollar tree for Asian people. Love all the stuff they carry.
Experience is same as Daiso in Japan, bit expensive from Japan and that's obvious.
A store that sells cheap Japanese and Chinese stuff, like a dollar store but costs a little bit more.
Great store there is always something to buy when I come here and everything is cheap too.
I loved this store and had so much fun spending money!
Not the best selection. Either that, or they haven't been getting in new shipments as regularly as before.
Love it here. Good place for small necessities. Like the 99cents store
I love Daiso. This store is very small therefore has very limited products.
Very cute stuff. I really liked this $1.50 store
Smaller Daiso, but still a great selection of high quality Japanese dollar store items.
Love Daiso. Not as good as what you find in Japan but they had a lot of great stuff.
I always have been a shopper at the International District. It's like a dollar; 88cent store. Check it out!
They sell a lot of cute stuffs and useful and good quality goods for cheap.
Prices are fair and have many cute things
They are open later than it says online! Actually closes at 8pm instead of 7pm, so I got to go and buy some tacky cheap Xmas decorations.
Needed some hard candy for scratchy throat! $1.50. Really nice cashier!
Fun place. They have a lot of little things you didn't know you needed. Then I found these. YUM
Good place to buy hackable items for your home. Note: products are made in Japan not China.
Best place to get cute, quality, everyday items for a great price!!!
It's always fun to stop by here and buy some small goodies. Everything is only $1.50!
A nice clean market. I'm definitely going back.
I like this little store, kinda like a dollarplus store but Asian, I always find something that works for me
OMG, THE STORE, THE STAFF AND THE COMPANY. ARE AMAZING. EVERY THING ABOUT THE DAISO COMPANY EXPRESSES THEY REALY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. RIGHT DOWN TO THE PACKAGING.
BEING ON A FIXED INCOME. AND BEING ABLE TO GET NICE THINGS THAT CAN MAKE LIFE MORE ENJOYABLE. WERE FAR AND FEW BETWEEN. BUT NOT ANY MORE. AND THEY HAVE A VERITY OF THINGS,
I'VE BEEN SHOPPING AT DAISO SENSE CHRISTMAS 2O15. CERTAIN THINGS SELL OUT ALMOST AS FAST AS THEY CAN RESTOCK THEM. I ALWAYS ASK WHEN THE ORDER WILL ARRIVE. AND THEN CALL TO SEE IF WHAT I WANT ARRIVED. AND LAST WHEN DO THEY THINK THEY WILL HAVE THE SECTIONS STOCKED I'M INTERESTED IN. I LOVE THIS STORE AND THE PEOPLE. THEY MAKE ME FEEL JUST AS SPECIAL AS EVERYONE ELSE. BEING 67, BRAIN DAMAGED, USING A WHEEL CHAIR FOR STABILITY AND OTHER HEALTH ISSUES. I DON'T FIND MUCH OF THAT KINDNESS ANY MORE.
THERE ARE TWO SHOPS THAT ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO ME TO SHOP AT. ONE ABOUT 3 BLOCKS AWAY. THE OTHER IS EITHER A BUS RIDE AWAY OR MY CHOICE WHICH IS, THE LINK LITE RAIL. WHICH TRAVELS UNDERGROUND THROUGH DOWNTOWN SEATTLE.
ITS THREE STOPS AWAY FROM
WHERE I BOARD. I DEPART AT THE WESTLAKE MALL. WHERE THE OTHER DAISO SHOP I LIKE IS, IT IS SO EASY AND FAST.
REALLY I COULD SAY A LOT MORE ABOUT DASIO AND HOW THEY MUST CARE ABOUT PEOPLE.
BUT I THINK THIS IS OK. THANK YOU FOR LISTENING. LINDA WADDELL
Cashier so friendly and nice.
Fun place to shop. Everything thing is affordable
This is a wonderful shop with a little something for everyone. Most items are $1.50
Daiso is always fun! can find a lot of things to organize everything at home
Cute shop with a bunch of inexpensive home goods and snacks
This is a great store for more stuff that nobody needs. Especially, Me!
Pretty small version but they have disposable underwear if that's on your list
Good prices on a lot of different stuff, from household items to food.
A good variety of products at low prices. It's basically a Japanese "dollar" store
Fun shop. Higher quality stuff than your typical dollar store. Fun to browse.
I love the stationery here and the snacks. It's hard to find parking, however.
Usually stocked with what I intend to purchase. Generally easy to navigate and check out.
so much stuff to buy. sales are final - no returns. crowded shelves and isles.
Very small variety of items compared to other Daiso stores I've been to.
Everything you need but can't find
Anyplace else.
The mystery place of
JAPAN/CHINATOWN SEATTLE
My wife like their stickers so much.
Really tight space, but it has a great selection of interesting items.
Daiso has really cheap, random merchandise. It's amazing
Possible the greatest shop in all of Seattle and a well kept secret. Most things are $1.50!
Great store for quirky Japanese dollar store type stuff.
Everything is so tiny. Love that it is right down the street from the salvation army's William booth center.
So many handy things. I like to only go in with limited cash, to limit my spending.
Love this store! Awesome finds at a great prices

Good spot for all those items normally found in Japanese stores.

Smaller selection due to space limitations, authentic Japanese snacks.
Love this place lots of cute items

Really nice think dollar store in the international district of Seattle.
The upper scale type dollar store with everything reasonably priced.
The one thing I don't like about this location is that is always out of stock on the beauty items.

Quick service at the cash register and TONS of cute stuff.
I used to live in Singapore, and therefore find the selection here to be very small and mediocre compared to there.
Cheap prices, great selection of hi chews
Love the variety. Small parking lot though.
I buy my school supplies here.it is the best
Cheap cute things! I love it here :)
Cheap and cute but not much options
Super cute stuff at an accaptable price!
