Reviews of Archie McPhee
Late night walk through 45th street led us to Archie McPhee’s amazing store. We had to wait until morning to see the Rubber Chicken Museum, but it was well worth the trip. The racing roaches are classic! 3, 2, 1 …Scatter!
Really funny store, super random and hilarious knick knacks! So much to see, fun just to browse too. The rubber chickens are hilarious 😂 there's a whole rubber chicken museum section inside
Def recommend a visit, I bought more than I expected but am super happy with it all! Nice employees too and they added a sticker in my bag!
This is a Seattle icon and makes for a great gift shop for all sorts of oddities - think bacon bandages, rubber chicken wine bottle stoppers, vintage card games, weird flavored candy, party supplies and more.
Really cool store! Tons of unique gag gifts, clothing items, cards, toys, etc. parking lot is very small but definitely worth stopping by just to look around!
We love Archie McPhee...so much nostalgia and some of the funkiest gifts. You can literally get lost for a few hours in this store looking at everything.
I needed fun stuff for an event. Clown ties? Yep! Gag candy canes? You betcha! A huge variety of rubber chickens? Archie McPhee has your back!
Great to be back after 8 years!! The selection was fun as always. Great place to go for unique gift ideas and it also generates new ideas if you are at a loss for what to get. I picked up some thank you gifts and also a "mystery box" which is wrapped in a Chinese take out box, which looks really neat. The customer service is top notch and I was glad they have Parking on the side.
Its been a dream to visit Archie McPhee since the early 90s. For years I've been a huge fan and I was finally able to go! I got a really awesome gift of the Archie McPhee book for the amount of my purchase, which I love! This place was a dream come true and I will remain a lifelong fan!
Fun. Must visit. Need opossum stuff? Finger puppets? Opossum racers? Opossum desk buddy? Various figurines? Squeaky rubber chicken? Bigfoot stuff? This place has everything!
A MUST VISIT while in Seattle.
If your not sure, they have their own Parking Lot.
Hubby and I had a few laughs and bought a few little things.
Customer Service: 5 Stars, Friendly
Parking: 5 Stars, no street or garage parking or paid parking.
Store Items: Over 10,000 different items.
Museum: 5 Stars, because the store makes me laugh. Rubber Chicken Museum is more like a Wall of Items, NOT big. It could have more history in it.
Prices: 4.5 Stars, a few items were overpriced.
If you've never been to Archie McPhee or you've never seen the catalog you gotta give it a try. Great loaded place with lots of neat little items, my kid loves it so will yours.
If they'd only stop wearing the dang mask
I have ordered from the website before, and I'm always delighted when I get a catalog in the mail. When the family decided to take a trip to Seattle, I knew I'd finally get a chance to visit the store! It did not disappoint. I just liked hanging out in there! LOL
If you like a crazy assortment of gag gifts, weird gift items and cheaply made junk, this place is for you! Not my cup of tea but you can find rubber chickens, unicorn bandaids and bacon flavored candy. Fun to walk through but I didn't buy anything.
I love this place. So many weird random things in one place. Not to mention the best museum I've ever been to. They have the world's smallest and largest rubber chickens. I almost had a propcom meltdown. This place has to be what happened to Carrot Tops hair.
hmmm... what can be said about this place? It's amazing and fun! They have a HUGE selection of mini toys that make great party gifts or stocking stuffers!! Also, they usually give a sticker or gift depending on the purchase... They once gave me a tongue scraper LOL I love the quirkiness of this place!! And the giant chicken lol
I've bought from here a couple times. Fast delivery and so many fun thing. I recently bought an item and it did not work. I got in contact with them and within 2 hours a new item is on its way!
So much fun, lots of cool stuff, and the staff is so kind and helpful, although I don't know how they're not driven crazy by people squeezing the rubber chickens, lol
I didn't buy anything, but this is a great tourist destination just to go see! :) Lots of funny knick-knacks to look at, including the irony-filled "rubber chicken museum." My husband and I enjoyed grabbing some Molly Moon's ice cream and walking here to browse around. It would take HOURS to look through and enjoy everything!
It was an awesome experience they have a free rubber chicken Museum in the back and lots of interesting products 10 out of 10 highly recommend
Amazing store! The only place where you can see the world’s smallest rubber chicken AND the world’s second smallest rubber chicken. They also have the world’s largest rubber chicken. 10/10
Archie's cult of weird, join us. Never boring and always something amazing. Especially if you're desk set or in the teaching profession.
Perfect place to get unique gifts and just wander around to look at the great displays the staff puts together. Plus, where else are you gonna get to visit a rubber chicken museum?
Do you need an authentic Bigfoot call? What about a horsehead mask for your fingers? While you are you are here, you can see the world's smallest rubber chicken. Also the largest. Watch out for the Wallingford Beast!
This is my favorite place to shop in Seattle. I get their catalog in the mail and still go in all the time. Fun stuff, friendly staff. Don't visit North Seattle without stopping by!
We love the Rubber Chicken Museum inside Archie McPhees
Very unique store! Prices are decent. The employees were friendly! The rubber duck musuem is a added bonus!
Very interesting store that you should visit if you are in Seattle. We bought an Archie McPhee magnet and the Chinese box of surprises.
I took an Uber to see the
World famous Rubber Chicken
Museum inside Archie McPhee's.
I WAS NOT disappointed.
The weirdest store on the west coast and I love it! I secretly bought a cake topper only to find out my future wife ALSO bought the same cake topper a few months ago!
Fun little place to visit and buy some wacky things, there's a small rubber chicken museum in the back of the store that was pretty amusing as well!
What a fun store. Everything that you didn't know you needed is in this building. Rubber chickens, check, shrunken heads, check. Jesus or bacon bands aids. They got em. A fun store.
What a find! Truly a gem. Too damn cute. I was looking for a place to find some cool gifts for two people who are impossible to shop for when Archie McPhee was suggested. A train ride and an Uber got me to the most fabulous spot I’ve patronized since being in Seattle. If you can’t find something you like in here, you should probably seek counseling of some sort 😂
Tons of entertaining things to see and buy. I walked in my first time, bought a bunch of things that fit in my pockets and some things for friends. Wigs, socks, animal figures, just a bunch of hilarious things.
Quite the experience for kids and adults who love the silly. The store is packed with fun and the unusual. Main attraction is the beloved rubber chicken museum. Although small, you can be sure it is one of a kind experience.
Silly weirdness. I mean there is a squirrel in underpants. Sillyness runs deep. Great for gag gifts and such. If you need a quick smile just go look inside. There will be something that makes you laugh.
Went for the rubber chicken museum...found so many fun, nostalgic items. The staff were great.
I love Archie McPhee's. I'm a 61 year old and this place makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. So much to see. It might send your children into hyperdrive.
Fun store for the kids. Tons of random little toys and what not.
Amazing I love this place got a couple of things with my christmas money. I also got a mystery bag cause I never had trusted them but man they don't lie when they say 125$ worth of stuff and it only costed $29.99. Highly recommended.😉
From your favorite 12 year,
Kyle
This place is just fun. A living embodiment of their legendary catalog, it feels like a crazy classic Americana roadside attraction. A definite must stop if you're in Seattle! Home of the World Famous (?) Rubber Chicken Museum, my favourite exhibit of which can be seen in the attached pic.
Best place for fun costumes and random knick knack gifts and gag gifts, perfect for all ages. Take a picture with the squirrel wearing tighty whities and get beamed up next to a dancing Bacon.
Also, on your birthday, they give you a fun surprise.
Only issue, parking is minimal.
To much fun! Bring the family, even the grandkids. Don't forget to check out the world famous rubber chicken museum. It has the world's biggest rubber chicken.
We’re just happy a place like this exists! This is a toy store for the weird, strange and eccentric! You won’t believe what you’ll find here! Sure, there are some overpriced things... but any place with a Rubber Chicken Museum in the back has to get 5 stars!!! Right?
A fun mixing pot of goofy and mysterious. Really enjoyed our first trip here. Is heaven for a person with adhd. They have everything you could possibly never need but want.
Don't forget to check out the "if you dare" mystery boxes. If you dare!!!
A must visit and cool stuff!!! See photos.
My favorite place in the area! My daughter and I are the quirkiest people I know and this store encompasses that. It was close to my birthday and my daughter bought me a fantastic grab bag! My favorite present to get. It had all the zany things I love from ARCHIE'S- got a punching William Shakespeare doll!!
Lots of cool stuff here… when they say novelty they really mean it! Apart from the bigfoot playing cards and glow in the dark finger tentacles, they also have a really cool assortment of parts like switches, tubing, various sized bottles, and so much more.
There are no words to describe this awesome little gem. So much to see and buy! Always check the website first for "super secret coupon"!
The award for peak weird in Seattle is very competitive, but Archie McPhee is going to be in almost every local's short list. Extremely fun place, it'll always find a new way to surprise you.
Eclectic, odd, zany and all around weird, Archie Mcphees is one large stocking stuffer of a store. Bacon suit? Yup. Giant screaming chicken? Check. Bigfoot socks? They got it. This place is so odd, they even have a museum dedicated to the fake chicken. Perfect for kids and the prices for smaller items are super affordable.
Weird and wonderful! We visit every time we're in Seattle.
So much fun and great rubber chicken museum.
Wow what a wild curiosity. Must see if you're in the area
Best store ever! Seriously the rubber chicken museum is the most rubber chicken I've ever seen lol
Friendly staff. Fun to browse around. Always something different there. And, we got free tongue scrapers when checking out! How fun is that!? :D
Oh, such a lovely, weird place. Such an interesting business model, too: pick up enough 50 cent items and pretty soon you've spent 50 dollars! Not that I'm complaining; I feel very fortunate that Archie's is in my town.
Stellar experience! The Rubber Chicken Museum in the back is well worth the trip.
Such a fun store! So many novelties and a rubber chicken museum!
A ton of fun and nostalgia all in one place. Absolutely impossible not to smile when you visit Archie McPhee!
What a fun shop! It’s a typical novelty shop and I definitely had a good time looking around. The little rubber chicken nook was definitely entertaining. I was expecting a bit more from a “museum”, but how much can one really say about rubber chickens :-)? I think I was more amused by the number of signs asking people not to drive the staff crazy with squeezing the rubber chickens than anything else.
I do have to say that I think the staff could be more pleasant. For a store that is selling something that is not essential, service is rather critical.
Neat store with lots of REALLY random weird stuff.
Friendly staff and always the same vibe. I'm glad Archie's has stuck with what works for them for all these years. Definitely a cool place for those that enjoy the random
Very fun place! Pollo museum is great.
A Seattle staple, I am glad it has survived over the years and continues to bring smiles to people’s faces. 🐔 …
I visited this store on my trip to Seattle from New Jersey. This is the coolest gift/novelty shop Ive ever been in. The rubber chicken museum was one of the most amusing things Ive seen.
So quirky. It's great! Got kids? Go here!
Fun place lots of weird and wonderful things you don't know you need til you find them!
Loved spending time at this little shop! Definitely wacky but picked up some fun souvenirs! A cool place for kids!
Fun mix of cool and funny items. A must stop for the young and the young at heart.
We visit Seattle annually & Archie McPhee is always a stop on our trip. Finally got a Meh Christmas ornament! Sad I cpuldn't find the JP Patches action figure, though. Next time!!
Always a fun spot to wander and find fun gifts
Archie's is one of my happy places. I always find something unique and the staff is easy going and friendly. If you're into crafts or tinkering, they have a whole section of odds and ends that you wouldn't find anywhere else. A true novelty store!
One of old Seattle's relics. This fantastic little novelty of a store is a must for any quirky fun loving person. Go pick up some silly treasures you didn't know you needed or go see their rubber chicken museum.
This is a place well worth checking out! It is hard to describe exactly what it is. It's a funky, quirky adult toy store. They have a rubber chicken exhibit in the back. They offer unique items that make great gag gifts and stocking stuffers! There is a small parking lot on the side of the building.
Touristic spot is a must if you are visiting Seattle, this is a kitsch store we’re you will find everything you do not need.
Perfect spot to have fun
Crazy. Very popular gag gifts
Really fun store full of great stuff. Awesome place to take kids. Great prices on most of the items. They have weird hard to find items too. Store is easy to spot from the street but parking is very very limited (like 5 spots).
Make sure to visit the Rubber Chicken Museum. The staff is always super friendly too.
I've been going here for 10+ years and it's still such a great store with the best staff. Toggle switches,Old school caller ID's, Devil Duckies, bacon themed shower curtains, inflatable tiara, etc. We picked up some educational place matts for the kids. Archie's is that little bit of sunshine on a dark day.
What a fun store. All the gag gifts you could ever want in one place. When you first walk in you might think, 'uh, what is this' but give it a minute to set in. You spen hours looking through the selection of randomness.
Plan ahead for parking. There are only a few spots in the lot and it's tight.
Oh yeah, this store is truly fantastic and a historic landmark! I probably enjoy it only slightly more than my kids. When I make it up in that part of town, I always stop in just to walk around and see what's new ... or old as the case may be. Very entertaining place to go for date night/day, and fun to embarrass the kids trying on the goofy glasses, hats, masks, or throwing rubber chickens. I can't make it out without some cool "new" toy.
Stopped in after a recommendation from a family member. Definitely this is a store of oddball and unique gifts. Enjoyed the rubber chicken museum in the back of the store. Spent about a hour browsing and some cool unique gifts.
Definitely a must visit if you like odd weird stuff.
This kitschy novelty shop/rubber chicken museum is not just fun and cute - it's full of a lot of heart. The employees who work there all love Archie's and love engaging with both kids and adults to surprise and delight. I'm so glad I stumbled into this place - you definitely should make it a stop if you're in Seattle!
Spent 2 hours there with a friend. There is so much to look at! We had a great time! They have flavored gum, odd toys, fun gadgets, and more. It's the best place to find a funny and unique gift. The staff was fun to interact with and enjoyed the silly things we did. Kids and adults can have a good time here :)
Such a unique and fun little store. I thought the store would be bigger, but it is reminiscent of an old five and dime. My kids enjoyed visiting and seeing all the fun swag. I was like a big kid too. A must see while in Seattle.
If they don't have it here, you probably don't need it. Whether it's bacon bandages, a Ruth Bader Ginsburg bobble head doll, rubber chickens, emergency googly eyes, or just an hour or so of browsing, Archie's is your go to destination. You'll always walk out with a snicker on your face. Great for children of all ages from 0 to 99.
Visited the Rubber Chicken Museum and learned all about the rich and facinating history of the rubber chicken. Couldn't find a docent to learn more nor was there a self guided audio tour however informational placards were highly informative. Gift shop is a bit overwhelming and may actually be larger than exibit.
Visit the Wallingford Beast, see the world's smallest rubber chicken at the rubber chicken museum. Get yourself some narcissist soap to go with your nihilist toothpaste.
Awesome and definitely weird place!!! It so much fun to visit, and look at all the strange little nik naks! Definitely recommend! Only complaint is that I would definitely like to see new items!! A lot of the stuff is still the same as it was about a year ago! But otherwise- definitely check it out!!!
Great nostalgic timewarp with a twist. Make sure you buy something! Can't just go to Archie McPhee's and not get something.
Great place right out of Seattle's history. Adorable novelty shop, great selection. Free gifts with purchase normally (we got cupcake flavored toothpaste!) Odd and weird items, and friendly staff. Prices are a bit high on some things (party supplies, containers, etc) but that's a novelty shop for you. Toys and stuff are reasonable.
This place is amazing I have been going here for years and it’s still great
When I was a young boy in Seattle in 80's; I couldn't wait to get my allowance. I would walk down Archie McPhees and shop like a king. My mom would laugh but my pep pep was worried about how I spent my money.
Unique products you can't find anywhere else. Friendly staff. Great customer service. <3
It was like taking a trip back in time! So much fun stuff toys gadgets Etc! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable they even gave me a free gift because it was my birthday I shall return thanks Archie McPhee
Fun place. So many little treasures in there.
Love this place! Always find stuff that makes me laugh, and the family loves. Been going here for a long time, and they have classic gifts, funny gifts and some that are hilarious. Staff is fantastic! Looking for a gag, hilarious gift, this is the place to go, in person or online. Here you can find pickle, clam, ketchup or mac and cheese candy canes, jp patches and Gertrude items, uff da socks or bandages. Be sure that you look for the squirrel in underpants, bigfoot in underpants or gag gift boxes. Have fun there! I always do!
The best place to take kids! All the silliness you can want in a toy store. Mostly gag gifts and oddities, but I take my kids there all the time and let them get two or three things each. The tab is usually less than $20
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
It honestly is the kind of place John Waters and Pee Wee Herman must do their shopping. Quirky, fun, and interesting.
A definate tourist stop. You see some of their stuff in other shops in the country, but going to the store is way better.
1. They have more stuff.
2. They have the Rubber Chicken Museum. (Hilariously small and cool!)
3. They have random stuff like lab equipment from 1988 and a caller ID console from the 90's. New.
4. Itty bitty tiny devil ducks.
While I was there with my partner there was a staff member probably just in the office and we were having a little debate about something and suddenly we hate this voice with the facts and we started laughing. The crew is awesome and I hope they never close.
Brought my 15 year old to Seattle...googled "fun stuff to do with teens" (we are from Oregon). That is how I discovered this place. What a blast! Employees were extremely personable & seemed to enjoy their jobs. Came away with some fun stuff, including a processed Meat-themed lunchbox. We will be back. PS...I am 55 & enjoyed it as much as my son! Kooky!
The best store this side of the metaverse.
It's fun random stuff.
Just as weird and amazing as i thought it would be when i looked at the catalog as a child.
One of the most awesome stores in Seattle
My favorite spot to stop at when visiting Seattle. I always shop their online shop for fun stocking stuffers, gag gifts and anything to make someone smile gifts.
Totally worth the stop! It's basically a gag gift store, and the rubber chicken museum is actually quite fun! It's small and only fills up a wall, but it was definitely neat to experience.
Very cool store with a wide variety of products sold at reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.
Everything you never knew you needed or wanted... and then some. The perfect store for birthday presents, party favors for wedding showers, or where to buy a random present for someone who owns everything. Also a great resource for props and school projects.
I visit this place every time I need a gift for a white elephant exchange or for that special someone with a sense of humor. Pretty funny original gifts. Of you're ever looking for a yodeling bacon or an inflatable turkey, this is the place to go.
Pretty awesome store. See what all the hoopla is about!
Awesome place. I need to check the other supplies in my garage before doing any purchases, but I should be back next week to actually purchase a few items. Ceramic magnets, springs, and an electric switch. Most of my purchases are in the back of the store in the "mad scientist" zone.
The greatest novelty shop I've ever been to, without question. But it's so much more than just a store, it's an experience that you just can't miss. And don't forget to check out the back area where you can find all kinds of random things you never knew you needed!
Show your ID on your birthday for a free birthday present! Also, you can find weird useless items here, but they also have some random hardware and vinyl upholstery in the back. It's also a good place for costume stuff outside of Halloween season.
Funny. Trendy. Lots of cheap ($1-$5) old dime-store style tiny toys. Things they used to sell on the backs of comic books. Goofy stuff. Great for gag gifts.
We came to this place looking for classic wind up toys and we found them! They had a great selection of toys and knick knacks. A great place to bring any child or adult! Also, they gave us a free sewing kit for spending a certain amount.
A cool place to wander around in, I can never bring myself to buy anything. Though they do have some interesting items up for sale. Would be a great place to take someone on a date. Location is nice as there are a ton of local restaurants just down the ways and a movie theater.
This place was coolest place ever. We loved it so much.. odd but cool..
I will always love Archie McPhee's! Great place for gag gifts, t-shirts, costumes and more stuff that I could not list here. If you have never been, go. A Seattle must see!
The Iconic Seattle joke and novelty shop. A great place for fun kitsch of all kinds.
World's Largest Rubber Chicken. What are you waiting for?
Go! Definitely my favorite ship in Seattle. They have nothing you need, but you won't leave without purchasing something absolutely ridiculous that made you laugh. Hilarious stuff for sale and the staff is mega cool!
Stay weird, Seattle. This place sells all sorts of novelty items, better than Party City, in my opinion. They also sell some lab equipment, hard to find foreign parts, costume, penny toys, souvenirs, and lots of bacon themed items (my favorite.)
If you're on a business trip and you want to book a cheap team-building excursion look no farther than Archie McPhee. Your colleagues will talk about it for YEARS.
Ever stress about gift ideas? Archie's is your solution. If you can stroll their aisles without finding something to delight, terrify, confound or otherwise satisfy your gift target, well, maybe they shouldn't be getting a gift from you anyway. Oh, and don't forget to leave an extra 10 minutes (or more) for the Rubber Chicken Museum and the Wallingford Beast.
Random sometimes useful stuff. This place is awesome with only on earth things luge the world's largest and smallest rubber chickens. And a penny smasher machine to boot.
Omg I’ve waited for so many years to go here and it did not disappoint. I’ve been ordering from them for years andI finally made it all the way from Baltimore ! Love you Archie McPhee!
Neat place to buy odd trinket and some odd parts for electronics projects.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! My friend and I had such a fun time goofing around and laughing in this place. There's costumes, pranks, sparkle-globes, and tons of wacky stuff. I bought these tiny little gummy toys that I will use for my macro photography, some very trippy holographic paper (by the yard), flamingo christmas lights (my friend and her new baby LOVE the gift) (only ten bucks!!), and those strange hand finger puppets for my nephews (creepy and hilarious, just the perfect gift from their crazy aunt). An awesome store to find gifts and fun things to make you giggle.
Before moving to Seattle, I would always shop Archie McPhee online. They’re your go to place for gag gifts, silly Knick knacks and great items for a white elephant event. There’s a designated parking space for patrons. The store is large and they also have a cool rubber chicken exhibit on display.
This is the coolest store that you can't describe what it actually is!
One of our favorite stops when we are headed for a tourist day in seattle! So many cool and different things! We come for birthdays and just to shop! Nostalgia and unique! Make this stop!
What? You haven't gone here yet!! Just go already. Live a little
Love, love, love stopping by Archie's. Have the best items and always fun to just walk around the store and find new things to look at.
I love all of the cool things at this fun and quirky store that carries some nostalgic items. Archie McPhee is definitely a must for anyone who loves a good laugh and is young at heart.
Would never visit Seattle without stopping here. Where else can you find all things bacon. Love this place. Just crazy stuff. Perfect for a good laugh and for locating a Christmas gift for the hard to buy for people in your life.
Fun store! They have everything thing you you didn't know you needed
Where else can you get a dancing Hula girl for the dashboard of your Jeep?
Love this place. Do wish prices were a bit lower, and that they also sold more than just pure novelty items (ala Ax Man in Minnesota). Still a very fun visit.
Joke shop? Toy store? Lots of fun for kids and older kids and really old kids. The staff is super friendly and they're always happy to give an opinion on the fit of your inflatable unicorn horn.
I love this place! It's so fun inside and out. Really gets the creative juices flowing!
It's a weird store with weird things that thrives on selling weird stuff to weird people. Need to prank a coworker? They sell enough googly eyes to cover every picture they have and add them to most of their office furniture. Need a catapult for tiny lego items? They have that. Want vintage pan am first class cups and saucers? Guess what. They have that too. Want normal? We didn't want to talk to you either.
Other than candy this store has nothing you need, and is mostly filled with stuff you'd never think about like underpants for squirrels, rubber fish galore, and a very respectable fake mustache section. There are a lot of things that can fairly be called general Halloween accessories and gag gifts- speaking of gagging how about lollipops with real worms and scorpions in them? I bought the Love Gun and brain flavored zombie mints, and they both more than paid for themselves the first time I used them- the mints theoretically could have saved my life (depending on zombie availability). I almost bought a boxing nun and rabbi but didn’t like having to reach up their gowns to stimulate their urge to fight. The store is well lit (no shame here) and very well organized; they even keep mystery bags near the front door in case you just want a discrete quick fix in a brown paper bag with a giant question mark on it. This place has everything needed to bring silliness to humanity, and even a working photo booth to capture the moment your inner child escapes.
Archie McPhee is a classic unto itself. Be sure to check out their website and look for the "Super Secret Coupon." You will be glad you did. Highly recommended for afficianados of rubber chickens and wonderful plastic kitsch. 30 minutes is usually enough for a visit, but there is limited onsite parking. A "must see" on any visit to Seattle for someone who appreciates the less refined things in life.
Every person should go to Archie Mcphee's at least once in their life. Nothing like it in the world.
Nice little novelty shop. Lots of weird toys and weird candy to buy. Also tee shirts.
SEE the rubber chicken museum!
SEE the amazing and disturbing Wallingford Beast!
If you go to Seattle this is a must visit store. From the moment you enter you're going to be laughing with glee at the obscure and the insane. Everything is well priced and this is the place to get all of your gifts for the weirdo in your life. Including someone who needs a prison toothbrush with tongue scraper.
This is a store that everyone should visit! It is great, full of reasonably priced gag gifts and oddities!
Wow. Seriously. I kind of knew what to expect based on what other people had told me plus what you can see from the outside of the building, but actually seeing it first hand just blew through any of those expectations. A true original gonzo strange but true store of the fun and weird!
I like coming here when I need to find random gifts for people, especially non-locals. I always find something that the gift recipient gets a huge kick out of, and browsing is always fun in this store!
Archie McPhee's should be a historical landmark. They need a second location in Denver right next to Casa Bonita. You really don't need to go, but you need to go. And, yes, I'm 100% sober while writing this. Just go. You won't be disappointed. You'll understand when you get there.
My husband and I have an Archie Mcphee Bigfoot action figure that we are taking turns hiding around the house. When the other person has a "sighting", then it's your turn to hide it! This is a little like "elf on a shelf", only better. It's Bigfoot. Not an elf. Gets no better than that. Thanks, Archie Mcphee!
Crazy, eclectic and kitschy. Goofy goods galore! Rubber finger puppets to crafty creative bits.
A Seattle icon but after hearing so much about it I was a little umderwhelmed by the stuff sold there and left feelimg the place was pretty overrated. Just my opinion though...a lot of people seemed to be having a lot of fun shopping there.
This store has been in the area for many years. Always a fun time, plenty of low cost gag gifts, trinkets and stuff you just dont find in any other store.
The only thing I love more than browsing this store is introducing friends who have never been here yet. I've been going here for ages, even the other old location. Just about every crazy thing you can imagine.
Kitschy.. I do like it for it’s weird feel lol
What can one say about Archie McFee? The mind boggles. They have the most unexpected....everything, and not one item is anything you would ever have imagined existing. A visual spectacle of the odd and charmingly bizarre.
You can shop the strange and weird for hours. It's part store, part museum. Also, if you're buying a white elephant gift, you can't go wrong here.
This is a pretty fun store. We bought rubber cat paws and a unicorn thing to bug our kitty cat. She loves it, just like the box says!
Great fun goofy stuff you have absolutely no rational need for an DC that brings back childish delight in life definitely not stuff here regularly. This place is a life extension program...make ed cuoj wang to just keep living an ddc laughing ...
love this weird place!
A must see on Seattle. Great fun for all ages. You'll find your crazy, unique cherry-on-top gifts here. A Seattle icon since... forever!
Super cool novelty store that has a little bit of everything. If you go in this place make sure to head all the way to the back for the rubber chicken museum. Super cool!
Best novelty store in the world. Always a treat to visit. I recommend getting a mystery bag, box, or takeout container, you never know what you're going to get!
Awesome stuff, awesome staff, very friendly and knowledgeable.
Yes, it's the Original and One and Only Archie McPhee. (Well, original if you forget that it's been relocated twice over a couple of decades. This is the ultimate novelty store and they manufacture many of the novelties you'll find at other stores. The store itself is more than what you see on the Archie McPhee website and catalogs. They have an area which is sort of random industrial items (beakers, body protection suits, biohazard disposal bags, etc.) This store is also home to the Rubber Chicken Museum -- at the rear of the store -- and be sure and have your picture taken with the world's largest rubber chicken. A great place to find an oddball action figure (e.g., crazy cat lady), crime scene tape, and bizarre candy and gum (this year's holiday item we grabbed was Mac n' Cheese flavored candy canes. If you haven't been to Archie McPhee, get there the next time you're in Seattle!
This place is awesome. I thought it was a comic book. It's not at all. Come with quarters for the fortune teller and the Easter island head. A great novelty shop to explore.
This store will forever be a Seattle classic. Tons of small and large gag gifts. A truly unique store.
Whenever I meet someone new to Seattle I insiste that they get really baked and go to Archie McPhee. There is no better way to explain the sense of absurd that embodies the Seattle Spirit than this store right here.
Where can you go in Seattle to get a rubber chicken? The get a photo booth pix of you and yours in Archie props? I go many times and try to bring friends from out of town. FUN!!!
What nice people! We sold next to them at Emerald City Comic Con, and they were in good humor and lots of fun to be next to for the entire weekend. I highly recommend them!
Finished up my Christmas shopping for my nine year old niece, this store is one reason I'm her favorite aunt!!!
Fan of Archie for 15 years. Get the catalog for terrific gift ideas for even the most difficult to shop for. The store itself is unlike any you've experienced.
Was unique nothing that I seen myself that I would like to buy. I think this is more for a very young crowd.
archie mcphee’s is the best place for random & fun things. a tiny foot, bacon mints, plastic chickens... you never know what you’ll find🤣 …
Archie McPhee is a cute little shop with a ton of fun gadgets and gizmos. If you are bored one day or waiting on your restaurant reservation or just hanging out in Wallingford - be sure to check out Archie McPhee's. They have toys for people of all ages!
The most fun anybody can have von a trip to the haunted mansion. I just got out of the best way for you...hidden logs in a car accident and you can do that was the most social media and you can go to bed soon and you don't release of a few documents to go
Liu out
So much randomness here. If you are looking for an unusual/unique gift this is the place! Always something new to see, great place to waste time if waiting for a table at Bizzaro!
Iconic kitsch store. Where else can you find squirrel underpants, and rubber chickens ..etc
Fun and funky items to explore. My favorite place for stocking stuffers. Truly awesome staff as well.
They have all the things to make a day that may be sad brighter they have anything that you could possibly need to impress your friends or even yourself !!! Always fun .....
Spend an hour in this place and get some random stuff see the History of Rubber Chicken collection!
Beware of rubber chickens! Safety is reaped with bacon bandaids. Let Poe lead you to salvation.
Always an interesting store to browse.
Staff is super nice.
I had a question about whether or not something was in stock, and the sales associate dropped what they were doing and immediately searched for the item in question.
Great products also!
Great place for a HUGE variety of funky and funny gifts!! Where else can you find a rubber chicken museum!?!
Always a fun place to come and see . Always new stuff , friendly helpful staff .
Goofy fun
Awesome purveyor of all things quirky and fun! Got all of my Christmas shopping done here; they've really got something for everyone.
Arcie McPhee's is a treasure trove of knick-knacks, paddy whacks & even the dogs bone! Awesome fun
All kinds of fun toys, and interesting things. This is a great place to bring people from out of town.
Epic store, more nick nacks then you could shake a paddie at. Novelty, tots, suits galore. This store is the battle banner for the strange and unusual. There's no quick trips each bin a adventures and isle a marvel
Great shop with all kinds of fun knickknacks. Friendly staff and bizarre selection. Your tweens will love it!
Everything you could ever want that is kitschy, quirky, and silly. There is nothing in the store you cannot love without, and that's what makes it so great.
Novelties? Everything you would ever want. Bacon gum, finger puppets, mad libs. Staff is enthusiastic and friendly. A Seattle must visit.
Local staple for weirdness. The staff here is really great and you can get lost in here for over an hour. Don’t bring too much cash with you or you’ll spend it all!
Very good place to get a verity of gifts and household items of various needs . If you have an opportunity to stop in check out your choices. I believe that you will surprised.
Friendly staff and lots of fun, crazy and even some useful stuff. The perfect place to shop when you aren't sure what gift to give.
For several decades, Archie's has been a must-see stop for visiting goofy people. Quintessentially Seattle, they have elevated silly novelties to an entrepreneurial endevour, even launching a line of private label merch. Worth a visit to find that special sno-globe or rubber chicken.
This place has incomparable oddball items for the kitsch lover in you. Novelties and memorabilia galore in this one of a kind store.
Still love this place but it does feel like it's faded a bit since they moved locations. The old store had a much larger selection of decor items and party supplies.
Odd and interesting, a delightful land of bacon bandaids and yodeling pickles, where else would you go to find unicorn vs narwhal figures?
Some neat stuff for sale. My friends loved the gum with Shakesperean insults and my date loved her Sasquatch finger puppet.
Great to finally visit in person. Has all the cool stuff on the website and more! Friendly, helpful staff and a souvineer penny stamp machine.
If you've never been, go! I've loved Archie's since I visites their original store location!
Such goofy fun to be had! Any oddball thing you'd imagine is here, including candy cigarettes! It's a must see.
Always a fun place to find some novelties. Staff are awesome too!
Where else could one aquire a handful of Whales?
A Seattle original. So much fun stuff.
A lot of silly toys and machine parts too in the back section I've Loved this place since I was a kid and I will always be a very fond memory.
It's nice to see that you can still have a sense of humor, and 2020 desperately needs it! So many great novelties, perfect to brighten someone's day!
If you need something that's just a little too strange or odd to find at target, there's a good chance you'll find it here! Everything you didn't know you need!
A Seattle staple. Odd place but you WILL find what you’re looking for and a Portuguese keyboard that you absolutely need. Plus they have tons of parking.
They don't do the gummy bacon anymore. Rip your five star. Now a four. Bring back the bacon then you get a five.
It's a joke shop . I've only been in it once . But the outside has personality and is thought provoking when you just pass by.
Cute, kitchy fun! FYI this is primarily a retail store with silly tchotches. The "museum" is teeny tiny. Friendly staff.
Always a fun place to shop, especially to pick up outrageous stocking stuffers!
If everything was .05 cents to $25, and I spent over a thousand on a single visit, that should tell you something. This quirky place is well worth visiting!
Just a fun store. Lots of strange and awesome things.
Sent a lot of Archie fun all over the USA this year. 2020 sucked, so we provided merriment and silliness which is so needed.
Great place for stocking stuffers and Christmas tree ornaments and all sorts of gags and gifts and goofy things to look at or buy
All the tacky things you've always wanted. It's perfect!
Fun, random stuff. Great little gifts. I like going to the back area for some of their more surplus pieces for projects.
Great little store! Perfect place to find the most unique items that you wouldn't find anywhere. Great staff and great customer service.
Very extensive selection of kitchy Nick nacks. Home of the world's largest rubber chicken!
If you've been to one toy novelty shop, you've been to most. The only noteworthy difference here is the various DIY and outdoors gear they had for cheap.
Wacky store. Great novelty items. Good selection. Have shopped them online so had to visit the location. Not disappointed
Have always wanted to go here since I was a child and it did not disappoint. A whimsical trinket wonderland! Everyone should check it out, locals and visitors.

The mystery bag was totally worth the price! Me and a friend went 50/50 on a big one and there's so much stuff that comes in it-- it's wild.
Cool place full of fun gifts. Great place to find stocking stuffers.
One of a kind. Great tourist destination. Fun, useful items as well as gag gifts and party supplies.
Endless fun and great joke gift shop. Perfect for pickle costumes or chicken costumes - this place rocks!
I appreciate this place for what it is: a store full of cheap, plastic junk sold only for that oh-how-(adjective) novelty feeling. Staff is always friendly.

Fun place to go.
Fun little shop of random goodies, a great little stop if you're passing through Seattle or just need a bunch of odd party trinkets
It’s unique. Postcards and little funky are the best.
I liked their previouslocation more, but they've still got all the great gags and stupid products you've come to expect over the last 28 years.
Was expertly guided around the store by a very knowledgable/fun employee. 10/10, would come again.
Cool little shop in Seattle
Neat stuff, but needs more. Kinda similar to Ye Olde Curiosity Shop on the waterfront, but with less creepiness, and more dollar store feel.
Great, colorful selection of merchandise as always. Think we saw Bigfoot there...
Had a blast shopping and viewing the rubber chicken museum! What a hoot!
My favorite place to go shopping in Seattle! I usually end up buying one of the large grab bags, but always get my money's worth!

You can't go there without wanting to get a lot of stuff you don't need, or at least didn't know you needed it. I've been a customer since near the beginning.
It was my first time--can't take that back ever. It was golden. ...like inside the suit-case in the movie "Pulp-Fiction."

While the inside of the store is not inspiring on first impression, wait till you start looking around. Incredible.
