Walmart is immensely popular and a great place to shop for anyone on a budget. The only recommendation is that some of the cashiers could be a little more friendly and could use some training in basic customer service skills like responding when I say "how are you?" Or "have a nice day!", but the store itself is great.

I shop at Walmart regularly and this is the first time I've had a store manager let alone a floor employee, go above and beyond with customer service. 11/26/22 Cory the front end manger at the Cranston Plainfield Pike store was attentive, kind, patient and understanding...you don't get too many employees like that. This is my go to walmart. Always quite busy, but that's what happens when you're a quality shopping center. The only critique I have, is more of a request. They carry George brand jeans, I wish they carried one size larger. The largest I can find there is 42x30 & 42x32. I would really love it if they had more 44x30's & 44x32's. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say about this store. Even when its at the peak of the busy hours I never wait in line for long periods of time. They always have an adequate number of registers open and are quick to call additional employees to open more registers when needed. They also have two self check out zones, one at each end of the checkout area by the exits which is incredibly convenient. I will continue to go to this Walmart for all my needs, even though there are 3 other Walmarts closer to my home, i prefer this love and woll drive the few extra miles to shop there. Great job Plainfield Pike Walmart... You are a head & shoulders above the rest !

It was pleasant, no rude people around, the place seemed clean the bathroom was very clean. But there was a Huge Smashed Rat!! in one of the parking spaces. Watch out when you open your car door you don't step on its guts!!! Not far from one of the entrances.

Today I left my phone at the self check out. As soon as I realized it. I went right back. No one had turned it in. The parking lot attendant helped me. Then the greeters at both doors, customer service, and security all rallied and got my phone back. It was the best service I have ever received. Not one employee turned me away. It's a Great Idea one can shop for food and clothing as well as house hold items in ONE place. Can get crowded but you deal with it when you get there. Just plan your day according to what you are looking for when you go to the Super Store and most of all enjoy your self and have fun finding something new to you. Great place and great prices

Not a fan of Walmart as a whole, but this location is one of the better ones in RI. When it comes to groceries and household needs, you really can't beat their prices. They also carry a big variety of items. They carry some snacks that you can't find in markets. Also, they always have more of a variety of flavors of things (like yogurt, ice cream, coffee creamer, cream cheese) that you can't find at other stores.

This Walmart is VERY frequented. It's hit or miss if the grocery items you are looking for will be present. It's not from a lack of trying by the employees though. They are always stocking as people are busily grabbing groceries around them. No fault there. What could use some looking into is 7+ check out lanes with only 3 open and people piling up everywhere to check out. Even temporarily opening more would be helpful.

Shelves always stocked, and one of the best selection of meats almost always available than I've seen at any other Walmart I've shopped in fr Massachusetts straight down the coast to Florida.. don't get me wrong other woman wants that have decent selections but this Walmart has the best selection and always fresh and always stocked.

It was huge a lot of gd stuff in there. It was my 1st time there. But the shelves we stocked n there was a few gd sales. The only thing I didn't like was how rude the ppl was. The workers had a problem with answering ur questions. The 1s walking around the store just bull doss right by u. Without a excuse me or right behind u. N the people who shop there r even worse.

Some associates a very helpful and others are just plain rude. When an associate is very helpful customers should have a way of recognizing them to encourage others to be the same. 2 went out if there was to be helpful but I didn't get their names.

I recently went to subway under new ownership and purchased gift cards for the holiday season! The service was very good and very knowledgeable. The store was very clean. The store is huge and has an amazing selection. The problem is that it is often under stocked and under staff there are empty shells and very consistently. Not sure if there's a better day to go then the weekend but again it is a shortcoming

I'm going to give them 5 stars for the bakery and the deli! That's the only reason I go to this Walmart. Been ordering cupcakes from here for 9 years (3 times/ year) for my kids birthday celebration at school. Since they only allowed cupcakes because they are easy to pass down. I have NEVER had a problem with my order. They have a big selection of themes. And right next to the bakery they have fresh bread.

Loved the online pickup process. Didn’t have to call anyone, just went on the app and entered what spot I was in and the color of my car. I like that I could choose to opt out of substitutions and when the employee came to my car he told me about the substitutions that I did opt in for.

This particular location of this chain store was easily accessed from the highway with little inconvenience; due to the holiday season, parking is a challenge but not impossible. I went with a list of 4 items that I wanted to buy, all of which I'd had no difficulty finding in the previous Southeastern Ma. stores that I've been to. Unfortunately for me, I only had success with 2 on my list. The third item I ended up choosing a different style from my initial preference, and #4 was a lost cause, as I found the size I needed, but not the style that I wanted. The store itself had some emptier spaces, as it appeared that items weren't being restocked, and I was surprised giving the shopping season. The service lines were speedy and courteous, and I'd go back again, with hopes of finding what I wanted.

Today I had laughs with the cashier who checked me out. She had a great personality and understood I had my elderly parents impatiently waiting in the car. I would rate four stars but some of the customers really bring the rating down beneath one star!

First time going to this Walmart location and it was only because the closest one to my home, on Silver Spring Street in Providence was an absolute CIRCUS today. Parking lot overflowing with cars and massive amounts of people EVERYWHERE. Luckily, this Walmart was still very busy, but not as busy as our usual place. UNFORTUNATELY, it was like the store had been ransacked. Or like it was Black Friday or something. Lots of empty shelves. Like 2 pillows left & very sad selection of wet cat food. FORTUNATELY, line for self-check out went pretty fast & almost $200 later, we got ALMOST everything we needed & got OUT of there! Hopefully they will get their shelves restocked soon. OH, and maybe they should have a refresher course for their employees because when we asked where the shower caddy's were, the response we got was "if we have those, they should be down there somewhere". We did better finding thi gs ourselves! Just a little tip! Good luck & happy shopping!

I stopped in to pick up a couple of items. I had never really looked at the grocery department in a Walmart until tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up buying half of my groceries for the week and I really hadn't intended to. The quality was great and the price was even better. I will definitely start including Walmart when planning my grocery list.

Checkout was the longest portion of my trip recently. The store was relatively well stocked. Prices are generally lower than other stores for equivalent products, but not always by much. There's adequate parking and it is easy to get there via Route 295 to RI14 East. There is a pharmacy and Dunkin Donuts inside. Masks are still required and social distancing is loosely enforced. Hand sanitizer stations and cart wipe dispensers are often empty, so bring your own if they are important to you.

Went specifically to get something that was advertised, had none. Also much of the other things I needed were sold out. My biggest complaint however was the clientele. All of the employees were as friendly as you would expect for being there in the chaos, especially one man that stopped what he was doing to help me. I do have to also comment that this was on Christmas Eve day. Although the patrons were absolutely awful, all the employees were pleasant, and some outright cheerful and helpful;

Very disappointing that the self check machines would not take cash. Only person check out would except cash. Lines where extremely long. I waited 22 minutes in cash line which honesty to God did not budge an inch. Left line and went to self check out anyway. I really wanted to pay with cash. Not right!!!

Decent Walmart, not the best in town but closest to me. Lately, I find the selections/stock so different that I need to shop at 2 different Walmart stores to get what I want. I have used the pick-up service a few times. They are good, but they seem to have more app glitches/ problems than the nearby Walmart.

I go to this Walmart all the time and I’ve been going there for years. Before it even became a super Walmart. I’ve never had an issue until recently one of the guys that works there was following me around. He made very uncomfortable made comments to me and I felt that everywhere I went he was there. It was so dam creepy and very unprofessional in my opinion. I spoke to a manager to avoid conflict because it he kept on I was going to curse him the hell out. Especially if he would’ve done that while I was there with my child. I would’ve gone on protective mode real quick.

I got to the deli counter pretty late, about 15 minutes before the deli closed. The woman working the deli on 7/20/2018 at about 7:45pm ( i believe her name was Paloma) she was excellent. Alot of the shelves are not stocked correctly or full. I wanted to buy something from pharmacy, apparently I couldn't, an alert came up "Do Not Sell" no explanation. They have hardly any laptop accessories, couldn't find what I needed and all the employees were too busy talking for me to bother, Walmart, your slipping!

This Wal-Mart has everything you need and if they don't you can order online. Fresh food and item for the entire house. However, some things (woman & men clothing) can be.a bit overpriced for the quality , the sales people on the floor appear displeased with customer service - not helpful and extremely slow - appear bitter!! Asking a Wal-Mart associate for help is like asking a 3 year old for help! Nevertheless its a convenient one stop shop for the entire family including pets and the sales are worthy of a visit - just don't expect good customer service...

The review has to do with resolving a problem. I purchased a auto battery less than a year ago. The battery was defective based on a service shop testing it. I stopped by a Walmart to ask what the exchange policy was. They told me to simple return the battery and customer service will scan the battery serial number and verify when I purchased it. I stopped at the Johnston store where I bought the battery and did just that. The battery was replaced. The only issue I ran across was they charged me sales tax again for a brand new battery. I thought that was odd. It turns out later it was because I didn't show my sales slip which I didn't think I needed since they scan the serial number on the battery and as told to me, "we will tell you when you purchased the battery" I followed up a few days later with the slip and met a junior manager named Alicia. She assisted me, explained the exchange policy and then went to her manager to work the refund for the sales tax. In general I thought it was great Walmart gave me a new battery but to follow up refunding my sales tax was even better.

At least say hi or have a good day to the customer. You know it wont kk you to give customer service, it is in your job description after all.

hectic, staff are none noticeable, making a mess of your experience. Blaming each other, waited 20 minutes for a manager that was never called. After an 90 minutes with a help of a great manager, I got my toaster I ordered online, but was never token of the shelf and sold to someone else.

Had a problem w my new phone. I was lucky to find Vos who was exemplary in customer service and knowledge. He helped switch out my phone ,showed me how to transfer my files sell me a warranty all while answering the phone solving issues for customers as well helping answer questions for the in store customers as well as the other associates. All done seamlessly and staying calm through all. Long story short , guy was a great.

Since moving to Rhode Island, I've started shopping more at Walmart. Prefer the Super Centers because they have Everything! Prices on personal care items cheaper than Amazon. I save time by ordering online and then picking up my order at the closest store. For a quick supper I like the fresh rotisserie chicken and classic potato salad from the deli. Good fresh stuff in the Bakery also.

I didn't like that the changing rooms are not open and they complained about me trying clothes on in the aisle, how else am I supposed to try clothes on maybe if they opened up their dressing rooms, how sanitary is it to bring clothes home try them on and bring them back in doesn't even make sense open up the damn dressing rooms!

New to the area and was happy to find a full service store with produce, deli, and pharmacy nearby. That said, i found there are limited selections in certain categories and quite a lot of "no on the shelf inventory". Produce quality also varies. Will try a few more visits before switching stores.

one of the better Wal-Mart's with regards to selection of product and availability. average as far as prices and cleanliness. below average service. I would have given them 3 stars but in comparison to other Wal-Mart's nearby, definitely better option. do not go to providence Wal-Mart if you can avoid it. deli is awesome small selection but prices are great and product doesn't have nitrates or additives.

This is my favorite Walmart in RI. I went to the Walmart super center in North Attleboro but was not impressed compared to this one. They always have all the items I want and need with good somewhat low prices. Only down side is there is always long lines and not enough cashiers

I just wanna say for people who think it's Rasict or unfair they check your receipt and not someone else's it's because if you have unbagged items or large items it's to make sure you paid for it. I'm a cashier here , yes we may be store on cashiers but that's because we're under staffed. We need works. We get lazy people who call out 95% of the time. Also as for food our food is ALWAYS fresh! Great place but asked about an item was told but a group of young employees that they didnt see the item when they stocked the shelves when i had asked if they can help me look for it so i said ok thanks maybe ill try another store but i went back and this time i did find it their were 7 or more but pushed back a bit hence why i did not see it the first time but the knowledge of the staff having it in stock was a bit off either way I'm glad I found it the usual experience is always good and very helpful

Just an absolutely fantastic store, they have everything for every holiday and no questions asked on any returns. A store in paradise, that's how I feel when I'm shopping there. Went looking for a battery for my car key clicker and CVS was twice the cost and did not have it in stock. Walmart has two battery displays up front by the register and found it! The electronic department is under construction so had to look elsewhere for the batteries as they suggested they were in the front at least for now.

It's a very big Wal-Mart, with a full service grocery store in it. It's open reasonably late, and has everything you'd expect to find in a Wal-Mart in it …. without sounding cliched, don't go on the first or fifteenth of the month, because it's an absolute zoo.

It is a walmart. It has what you need. I did buy a water filter from this loacation and when i got home it was opened and used. It appeared that someone bought it and returned their old one in the box. It wasnt too much of a hassle to exchange, but it was very difficult to find one that hadn't been tampered with.
