I was expecting more selection in most areas. Paints, canvases, inks, mediums etc. I had driven from quite far to go to another art store in Providence and thought I'd go check out Blicks since i was in the area. I will stick to my Boston blick store as they carry quite a bit more stock. The employees were very nice and helpful though and that's why i gave it 4 stars. Good customer service goes a long way.

One of the most variations of art supplies I've seen since Pearl Paint closed. The store surprisingly sells Montana aerosol cans, however, they are well above market price as well as Molotow and Krink markers.

This is a great art supply shop that my dad frequents a lot for paints, pencils, etc. While I wish I were an artist, I enjoy tagging along for their amazing speciality pen selection. I love that you can buy in singles and can find unique styles and colors you can't find elsewhere.

The folks who work here are artists as well. They are super helpful and this is a great place to get supplies and then take a walk and have a nosh. Try PLANT CITY, or the Indian place two doors down or any of the zillion coffee houses.

Easy access off RT 195 - this place has it all. Located near RISD and Brown University. Blick has a selection of quality papers sketching materials and all the pens and inks and brushes you would require. They have Clay and oil paint frames and several kits for a younger artist. They are right across from the coffee exchange on Wickenden Street in Providence Rhode Island.

I was helped from the moment I walked in and everyone wore masks. The employees would check on me and I also noticed other customers to make sure we were comfortable in finding what we needed. I remember in particular one employee by the name of Sophie who was able to answer all of my questions and direct me to what supplies would be best for what I am looking for. All of the employees were great this morning I just wish I could remember all of their names, I am bad with names, to thank them for the help.

This is a great art store. While they may not have everything, they do have quite a lot of supplies. The parking lot is small and had no room this day I came here, but I found plenty of on street parking, and there are several side streets near by. I was greeted the instant I stepped in the door and was directed to where I needed to go. I needed some oil paint supplies, and they had 95% of what I needed. The staff is very friendly and occasionally checks in on you if you look lost, which is great in my opinion, and the store is clean and well lit. I recommend this store all day and will be back for sure!

I go there all the time, they have everything I need. The people are super friendly and welcome you with a smile when you walk in the door and are open to any questions you have. I go there for the great deals on markers and paints. They also have good prices for their graphite, Tom bow markers, colored pencils, and so much more. Awesome place for any artist!

Blicks in Providence has an amazing panoply of art supplies at very good prices. I shop here with confidence that I can find what I need and also see the newest products. It's a small shop but I like that it isn't overwhelming with aisles and aisles. The shelves are highly organized with friendly and knowledgeable staff to help if you have a question.

Helpful, friendly staff. Try checking online to see if your item is in stock in the store. Went there for Copic Markers only but saw lots of paint, pastels, pencils, dyes, canvas etc. Limited, free on-street parking. Small parking lot but I think it's for employees.

Blick art store is the best. Their paints are minimal in price and you can find what you need. I prefer paint that is very thick and they had the mediums I needed for a very frugal price. The canvases are high category and ready to use. Highly recommend.

My favorite place for art supplies. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help with any advice. Prices can vary but there's usually some pretty good sale items. It's a great place for restocking your supplies or even just browsing. Easy to get to, small parking area next to the building as well as street parking.

Very cool store! Super friendly & really helpful staff. They really took the time to help my 13 y/o son about sketching pencils The store was clean and the set up was eye catching. I really enjoyed browsing their markdown & book sections. I totally recommend Blick Art!

Excellent selection of art supplies. Oil, water, acrylic and enamel paints by various top brands. Full line of markers, pencils, chalks and more. Turps, thinners, spirits and other thinners and cleaners. Full selection of canvases as well as parts to repair and build your own frames. Highly recommended. As far as prices they are in line with other artist supply stores.

The staff is really friendly. It's a tiny store but they are usually good about keeping a large inventory of art supplies. It's a bit on the pricey side but welcome to the art world because most art supplies is not cheap.

All the art supplies imaginable crammed in a relatively small space. A bit of a wait during Covid era as only 9 people were able to be inside at a time. I was surprised at the low prices and ended up spending 60 bucks when my intention was to only check this place out. Parking may be an issue for those without a bike. Extremely recommend.

A wonderful little art store to get your fix on supplies. Very relaxed atmosphere without having salespeople shadowing you. Decent discounts on media/supplies, whether it's a large canvas you need for your latest project, or just a mechanical pencil for your blueprints.

Been to this small store a couple of times, it's all right for the most basic of supplies. The Jerry's Artarama nearby seems to have a much wider selection, but it is a bigger store. Blick is like an artist gift shop or maybe convenience store. I got what I needed (mini sketchbook) , not wanted (pilot g2 pens) and that's what matters. Side note: Did feel like I was being watched, but it is a small store so the employees were hopefully just hoping I'd ask them something and give them something to do.

One of the best art supply stores I have ever been to. From basic craft type materials to very advanced paints and brushes, if you can't find it here then its probably not available. Did I also mention that their staff is very friendly and accommodating?

It's difficult to find a Blick store, and this one is a 50 minute drive. However, it's always worth it. It's small but well stocked. Plenty of mediums to choose from and I wish their sculpting inventory was more fleshed out. Preferred rewards is a free sign up and well worth it if you expect to visit their physical or online store, even infrequently. Parking can be a hassle. Located near brown and the financial district, so there are plenty of nearby attractions if you want to make a day of it.

It's a wonder why art supplies are so dang expensive, but the guy we had helping us was fun, friendly, and smart. Couldn't ask for more. Everything was clean if a little disorganized. For example, the paint brushes were all jumbled together despite having ~15 sizes, each with a different price. The paints were not labeled but had a confusing price guide near them. If it wasn't for the guy helping us, we wouldnt know how much our purchase was until we got to the register. Still, I recommend Blick Art Supplies for high quality.

One thing for other customers to note is the price online can be different from the price in the store. I would suggest anyone who talks to the customer about the purchase-in-store-pick-up-curbside gives them a heads-up if there is any price discrepancy. So I don’t have to buy a stapler that’s twice as expensive as the one online and can’t do a price match because I don’t have a blick card. But thankful for their service in this difficult time. No return until when they reopen again.

I've only visited the store once, but the was a wide selection of objects to purchase that it appeared to be impossible to leave empty handed. I went in looking for items specifically and was told to sign up for the rewards card. I did, and it also saved me $20 as it automatically gave you the online prices in-store! Would definitely return again for any of my arts and crafts needs!

This Blick is located in a kitschy part of Providence near Brown University amongst art galleries, antique stores and coffee shops and bars. Street parking is available. My daughter is a budding artist and we enjoy making the trip down here. The selection is plentiful.

Not very helpful staff. I walked in to pick something up and had no idea where anyone was and just stood there for bit. And when I finally saw someone, noone approached me, even though I was standing at the front register. I had to walk up to them to ask if they worked there to get any help. Good assortment supplies though.

I purchase my artist oil paints, and brushes, online from Blick Art Materials. I paint only landscapes. I find the costs for artist quality branded oil paints, and brushes, are far less costly at Blick Art Materials, than any other place.
