Five Below is a fun store to go to when you have a dollar store itch but want something a bit better. They're starting to sell a lot more stuff over the $5 from their name but still plenty of great finds.

I love "5 below" the one in South Portland Maine is always very clean, organized, everything always stocked. The staff there are really nice, very friendly, and really helpful. They have a good mix of everything in "5 Below" seasonal, home decor, clothing, makeup, toys & games, arts & crafts, tons of cell phone item, candy, cards, party decor, electronics, health & fitness, and so much more. They are called "5 Below" because nothing in the store is over 5 bucks but a lot of it could be sold for much more. I save a ton of money going there & getting some of my makeup. They have wet n wild, la girl, and a few other good brands there & they are normally the cheapest place to get the items without coupons

Clean store, decent selection of things I didn't know I wanted. Some items were crazy overpriced (namely some things that kids will scream for when they see, like rubber inflated balls for $5 that sell at Walmart for under $2). Still 5 stars for the experience and helpful staff.

This store has a range of items from $1 to $5. The selection of its is random and rotates often. They have a good selection of cables, charges, headphones and other small electronics which I always need to replace. This location has a decent candy section with some really unusual and hard to find items, like Harry Potter candies. The quality of some of the items isn't the greatest, but is often better than you would find at other "dollar" stores. Overall, it is worth hitting up from time to time, just to see what new and interesting items they have in store.

This review is for the store located in South Portland,Maine. My child and myself thought it would be a good day to drive down to South Portland. We decided why not go in and check stuff out. We were greeted by the manager of the store the minute we walked. Mind you he was also checking people out on register but still made it priority to greet us.This manager was so friendly and cheerful. My experience there was great. The manager at this location was awesome and his ability to multitask and keep a smile on his face while doing it all was above and beyond. I would highly recommend that you go.and visit this store and corporate if you are reading this give this man a raise!!!

Never ceasers to amaze me the things you can get for under 5 dollars. Great place for cheap school clothes. But now they are bringing in above 5 dollar things, kind of defeats the name of the store. Buyers beware.

Found some inretesting things; all of which broke or ripped within the first two days of use. They have some good options for snacks and drinks, but don't expect years out of your trinkets you did here.

Very friendly staff, store always looks clean and full of awesome merchandise. It’s a great place to find something for everyone you love, including your pets. My kids love coming to this store. They do their chores and get good grades, they earn their allowance and once they have enough they get excited to visit.

Love the products. Unfortunately not able to say the employees are super friendly. I've downright felt unwelcome at this location. However the variety of cool stuff keeps me coming back! Only other minor annoyance (which I've also seen happen at local dollar stores), is the occasional overpriced item. I let the employee on staff at the time know... though they didn't seem passionate about letting anyone know for the better of the store's business :/. Example: an item half the size of the one I saw at Walmart, for $2 extra. Just saying! Hey, maybe that's how they make their money! I do always wonder how places like this can sell some pretty high quality, unique products for such a low price. But don't get me wrong, I am definitely not complaining, just full disclosure! 👍🏽

Meh...too many items that just don't work. Specifically a car charging adapter; after leaving mine in our other vehicle,& about to have a deaded phone before a trip to N.H...Quick- stop here ,before hitting highway to purchase a temporary one to get me through; First one ,unwrapped- and pieces fell out of socket...back in I run... Ended - up exchanging 4 different ones ,till #5 was ok: and the only that worked of em all; On a positive note: I'm sooooo Glad I checked them out in parking lot,before driving away*

Great items for a decent price. Can find something for everyone here. Keep in mind they don't have enough people running the registers so you will wait in line for a fair chunk of time. The store is always disheveled as well.

Depending on what you are looking for, this place offers really nice bargains. This is a $5 below store, you will mostly get the quality you paid for, but if you have a DIY project this is a must-see place. Lots of decor items to use as is, or improve. I would recommend it, and I plan on going there for Christmas and such.

I love this five below but they need to start putting a limit on how many squishmallows you can buy. the scalpers have been picking this location dry and they haven't had squishmallows in stock for WEEKS. I'm sick of asking when they'll have more and I'm sure the employees are just as sick of everyone asking. either start ordering more because you're the only five below in southern Maine or put a limit on how many you can buy. it's getting absolutely ridiculous.

Brought grandkids there... More their type of place but l did get a couple things. Seemed too loud for me, but l DO REMEMBER stores like this when l was young!! Kids had a Blast & got several items since it was inexpensive! FUN TIME!! ❤
