I wasn't expecting any design to be put into my request - my initial idea was just plain text on a shirt. Truly miraculous to turn a frustrated joke into my favorite purchase of the month. The shop responds fast, the work was beautiful, the t shirts are soft. I ordered different colors and sizes on a small order, I got a little frustrated on the web sight , so I just made a list, sizes, colors, quantity, and emailed the designer. My experience at the downtown Portland Big Frog was fantastic. They were very friendly and their graphic artist helped me create the perfect t-shirt for my family's big event. They work with you to get every detail right from color of t-shirt to altering the image to look more rustic to match my theme. The owner of the shop, Sanford, was also super friendly and several employees even helped make sure I was parked in the right location so that I wouldn't get a parking permit. It was a great experience from beginning to end.

Super fast turnaround coupled with the quality of their work and great attitudes are what set these guys apart from the competition. We had Big Frog make this year's shirts for our law firm's softball team. I reached out to them rather short-notice, but they didn't skip a beat and never even commented on the short notice. Just wow! After and entire afternoon of being defeated talking to other printers, I called Big Frog and got the best, most up front information in just a few minutes. Sanford was so nice and was transparent with me about what Big Frog is great at, but also pointed me in the right direction to get what I really need for my project. This is the second time I’ve used Big Frog and it was just as awesome as the first. This time I ordered custom aprons with a jpeg design to be imprinted, and they discussed the apron types and the best printing process for something that’s likely to see more severe wear (BBQ’ing, etc.) The aprons turned out fantastic! I Love this company. I have spend thousands of dollars with them. The designers are extremely patient and good at communicating order status. Good customer service is becoming a dying art in the digital age but not at Big Frog. Weather picking up an order mid-week or stopping in for an impromptu order on Saturday they are world class all the way. Big frog has worked on two projects for me. Both were easy and turned out just like I'd hoped. Their in-store designer was able to put together a simple design for me in less than 10 minutes, and show me a mock up of what it would look like. My only complaint is that the ink printing only shows up with dark ink colors on light fabric. That makes sense, and they have samples in store to show you what each ink color will look like on each color fabric, but it does limit your design choices. Overall, though, they do a great job and are very easy to work with.

Amazing customer service by Nate. I brought in a drawing that my friend had done for me. It was to large to fit in the scanner so Nate took 4 separate scans of it and rebuilt the image flawlessly on his computer. He then helped me design a logo for the back of my shirt. He spent a good 30-40 minutes working on my shirts design on the computer trying to get it just perfect and listening to any input I had. The price crazy cheap especially with all the help you receive. When my shirt was done front and back it was only 22 dollars. Great deal and I will certainly be back!! Also if you have a complicated drawing his ink printer that puts the ink on the shirts will capture every tiny detail.

I guess I could call it ok. We went inside on a Saturday and the lady was already busy with another customer, so we browsed through the store. The shirts are expensive, but all printing is expensive. After a few minutes, we decided to leave. It seemed like it would be about another 30 minutes until we'd be helped. But it's ok. It seemed like she'd just started working and was learning the ropes.

Big Frog PDX is not a screen printer. It is an evolution in the printing process. It is an evolution in the technology of putting an image to an item. It is an evolution in the aspect that you aren't restrained by set-up charges, minimums or any of the other limitations of traditional screen printing. Big Frog utilizes a new technology known as DTG (direct to garment) printing. In most cases, you can have a custom made shirt or one of the other printable items they sell (aprons, can coozies, mouse pads & hooded sweatshirts just to name a few) within 24 hours of completing your order. Who does that? Big Frog. That's who. They have a superlative customer service policy and are very easy to work with. You can supply your own photo, design or slogan. Or they can work with you to bring your idea to life! This sort of printing service is liberating in such a creative D.I.Y. community such as Portland. Definitely worth paying them a visit. Oh and did I mention there is free parking right next to the building on Burnside?
