I absolutely love this store. It is super well stocked up with all sorts of amazing things. I just moved to Omaha, and this store has been such a welcomed surprise. They have things for crafting, framing, parties, etc... and their staff couldn't be more friendly. They are a family owned business, so they are knowledgeable and they provide amazing customer service. They are pet friendly so (so don't be surprised if you see the family dog around). They also have workshops and clases, and popcorn for you to snack on while you do your shopping.

This was my first visit to Mangelsen's and I was definitely impressed. I want to start off by saying that they are Pet-friendly and my little chihuahuas loved being able to shop with me. The gentleman at the cash register was very polite and answered all of my questions about classes and the services that the store offers. I'm sorry to say that I didn't catch his name, but he was very nice. I also did not catch the name of the lady working the sewing/ fabric cutting counter, but she was super helpful. She gave us advice on our project and was very welcoming toward my dogs. We really enjoyed talking with her and will use her advice to guide our way with regards to our project. We also had the pleasure of discussing the Escape Room and cosplay with Jeremy in the year-round Halloween section. He gave us some great information about the Escape Rooms that are offered there as well as letting us know that Mangelsen's is working towards being a provider of cosplay supplies including makeup, skin-safe adhesives, and a fast-drying mold that is better than plaster. I will definitely be returning, and would highly recommend it to anyone. It is an amazing store.

I was totally impressed with the personnel of the Framing Department. The gentleman that cleaned the painting painted by my Uncle back in the 1950's did an excellent job as did the person who strengthened the original frame. The young lady that assisted in my locating dip pen nibs when not sure of available products chose to help me by locating on Google the exact nibs that I needed; which I now have.

There's something for everyone here. You get the feel of cracker barrel at first especially after eating great food at farmhouse then if it's your first time coming here it'll seem like a little gift shop like cracker barrel has and then it'll seem like the place is never going to end as you browse around. They carry several items I haven't seen any other store stock their shelves with. I enjoyed visiting this store. Ps. Don't buy all the shot glass ice molds up because I plan to return to buy a few.

I was buying quilting supplies but found so much more. Great stock, great employees! This store is a treasure chest of wonderful things! The customer service was wonderful, from a warm greeting at the door to helping me find what I needed, to a friendly and engaged check out person.. Mangelsen's is a great craft store, but they are really more than just a craft store. We had a poster framed, And it turned out better than I expected. If you need kitchen utensils, cookie cutters, cake pans. Christmas items, costumes, home items, Mangelsen's is the place to find it. Highly recommend.

Mangelsen's has quickly become my favorite place to shop for any crafting or baking needs. I'm a home baker, and they always have what I need--a variety of flavorings, cookie cutters, food colors, cake decorating tools, macaron mats and essentials, etc. A few months ago I was looking for lavender flavoring and today Laura from Mangelsen's called me to let me know they had ordered that and a few other things I was in search of. I had forgotten about these items but will go back today to purchase them. This lovely store has everything you need and more, and wonderful, thoughtful people ready to help you. I am so impressed every time I shop or call. Thanks, Mangelsen's!

Massive place, literally any craft/project you can think of they have an entire asile full of materials, their fabric selection is also 1000% better than Joann's and their stuff is priced very reasonably. I think this location also has like a rec. Center thing going on, very cool.

The lady at the register was happy and helpful. She kindly pointed me in the right direction. I needed velcro strips for a project and she sent me to the correct department. The lady in fabric was busy with other customers but looked like she was having a bad day but was still polite. The store wasn't crowded and was well stocked. Plenty of craft items and supplies to choose from. I especially like this place during Halloween time.

Great local craft store with a massive selection, they even have a massive party section and always have rows of Halloween costumes and accessories. Their Christmas corner is up all year long and they have a lot of the village houses. They have everything here, baking, sewing, woodcraft, candles, framing, art supplies, etc.

This is the place to go for Halloween costumes all year round. Also, they have an awesome assortment of crafting supplies. I like to visit manglesons for unique fabric and quilting supplies. I love this store!! I would go everyday if I could.

In a word: cozy. It's a large store with a lot of variety and unusual items, but still retains a 'ma and pop shop' feel. Best craft shop in the Omaha area. The only point against it is that I somehow spent an hour wandering lost trying to find a few specific items and could not find an employee to help. I didn't want to bother the one at the register. Understaffed or not obvious enough, could be either. The employee I did interact with at checkout was excellent. Highly recommend!

Party decor, household decor, scrapbooking details, balloons, etc. I walked through this quickly just to see what they had. I will definitely be going back for my son’s birthday party/husband’s retirement party decor and planning.

This place is a remarkably welcoming place! There isn't anything not to love! This is a crafts store, but everything looks like it has been done gently and with care! The owner, David Mangelsen, comes there often to greet the customers. There is a popcorn machine, sometimes it's empty, but it is easily and quickly refilled. Sometimes, during Christmas, there is a Santa that comes there and it's very impressive! I appreciate the kind service I've gotten and the safe environment the store shows! This store does not look like much from the outside and oddly enough has an attached restaurant. I did not find the employees to be very helpful, but the cashiers were friendly. The setup of the store is odd, but we found some amazing values. It is a craft store mixed with a party store and a Halloween/ costume store. They even had some educational materials. It is totally worth checking out.

Went to have an important piece of art framed there.The employee there knew what he was talking about, we had a great long discussion about color theory and he took the time to understand what the atmosphere of the art I was framing was supposed to be. The final result was everything I hoped it would be and more. A little pricey, but worth it. Will have all my art framed there when I have the money.

I have never had a negative experience in this store. It is a big store with a great selection. I would highly recommend their framing department. They do good work and they have reasonable prices. I needed to have a print framed. I went somewhere else first and got a price for the work. Then I went Mangelsen's. Mangelsen's asked over $200 less than the first place.

First time ever going here and I really like it! The first person to greet me was the owner who was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. They actually have a very decent art section and carry professional brand paints, very affordable paints that I found very pigmented for the price, and also have a good variety of paint brushes. Their store brand canvases are very affordable. I ventured through the entire store and was very happy with their selection of other craft and decor items. I didn't need to ask any customer service questions but there were staff all around if I needed help. All - in- all I will definitely be a return customer, the only real negative thing is one I find at every craft store, my pocket book gets mad at me lol.

I'm not from Omaha so I don't frequent this store, but I went once and loved it. It was during Halloween season and I could not believe the huge selection and amazing prices of their Halloween stuff. I even found an exact replica of a jointed cardboard skeleton that my family had when I was little. I was so excited I just had to buy it and send a photo of it to my mom! I really enjoyed this store.

One of my wife's favorite stores. She can rely on them to have what she needs from her sugar cookies to her journal supplies and not overly priced. It's not their only quality product but I get our dog bones there. They are locally made and don't have any mystery ingredients and don't shatter like a lot of the other ones do. Be sure to explore the entire store. They do have awesome Halloween and Christmas displays, but they have a lot to offer the rest of year as well.

I have a delicious, fresh, organic/natural meal in the Farmhouse restaurant first, purchase a pecan roll & loaf of raisin bread and then walk it off in Mangelsen's. Live this establishment.

Framing department here is great! I went to Hobby Lobby previously and while they are good, Mangelsen's has so much more selection. There are hundred of frame options. They completed it ahead of the scheduled timeline.

They pretty much have most anything that you could need and are very helpful when you're not sure exactly what you do need. They have classes for beginners in different crafts and it's nice just to browse the store to get some creative ideas.

I bought these large canvases from there, the paint, and other types of supplies. My experience has always been good there.

This is a great place to get Halloween costumes and other holiday decorations. I went there with my kids, and we found the exact costumes they wanted within 15 minutes of browsing - a monarch butterfly and Moana. Boom - best dad shopping ever. I love this store, if you can't find your crafting/party/gift items here then you don't need it. Manglesen's has party items from the decorations to the details of cake filling. This is the go-to store that even has Christmas items most of the year. I stop by every time I drive through town to our from Denver.

I'm not a "crafty" person, so it was hard knowing what was wgat or where to go. They have A LOT of crafts so I'm sure to crafty people it's very useful. But as a first timer, I can't say it was pleasant, but it wasn't horrible either.

Don't live in Omaha, and my first time ever in Mangelsen's. But this retail store has EVERYTHING you would expect an arts and crafts store to have. Went in to buy a set of colored pencils for my grand daughter, who is six years old. I was almost overwhelmed by the large assortment of colored pens and pencils. But David (the store owner) was right there with explanations regarding one type against the other. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone in search of arts and crafts! Gosh, they even have a "year-round" Christmas section inside the store! Good thing I live 150 miles away ... I'd be spending a lot of money here. : )

My first time here, the owner was walking around, making conversations with patrons. My mom was visiting from back home in Indiana and he started recommending great places to go while she is visiting. He left and came back with two bags of popcorn for the both of us. After conversing awhile longer, he tells us he'll be right back. A few minutes later he comes back with a loaf of homemade bread that he bought from the restaurant as a gift for the both of us. Mangelsen's has sooooo much to look at. Expect to be there a good while. They have nearly everything one needs for nearly every kind of craft. I paint and I buy most of my painting supplies here because first of all, they have what I need and secondly their prices on those items are great! They have things for every kind of party imaginable and things for weddings, graduations and more. They have some homemade food items that are delicious. I always get the rhubard jelly for my brother. At Halloween their costumes can't be beat but they have costumes for other occasions, too. You will love this store.

I am only addressing the fabric department. I quilt and have been to my share of fabric/craft stores. I have never been to one that has so many collections of my absolute favorite fabrics. Moda, Bernartex, South Sea Imports and more. The fabric is current and I have to commend whomever buys the fabric for a job well done. The prices are quilt shop prices ($11-13/yd) so you might find better prices on the net but if you need something that must be finished right away, or just want to get a fabric-fix, this is an excellent place to go.
