I teach painting and drawing at Creighton University so I tend to be at this store quite often. Whether it is for me personally, my students who come into the store or the Omaha store preparing supplies for my upcoming classes, I can always count on them and I truly appreciate it. While I don't expect any staff member to know every single artistic process that exists, I'm always impressed with the interest the staff has if it is a material or process they are not familiar withmaybe that curiosity is just inherent in the artists who work there, but I appreciate it either way. Having a brick and mortar store is so important, especially for those last minute items. I probably stop by at least once every other week and if they are out of something, they do what they can to make sure it is on the next shipment. Thanks for all you do to help Omaha artists.

Great place to shop for pro artists. Friendly atmosphere. Availability of Utrecht acrylic paint (studio version and artist version). An inexpensive alternative to Golden heavy body acrylic paint and Liquitex heavy body acrylic paint. Utrecht also sells Titanium White by the gallon. About $55 for studio Titanium white and $100 for the artist version. They have many other colors that come in a variety of sizes. Blick also sells Blick acrylics for students and pro artists. Teachers and students get 10% off on all regular price items with a valid identification. Blick also has an app where you can see the availability of products. The chain offers free shipping for orders of $59 and over.

Easily the best art supply store in town if looking to make art or be involved in the art community or for school supplies. Very reasonably priced with a variety of cost options. Not a craft store but does have a few craft making things in there, the knick knack style corner inside is cool too.

Always an awesome experience at Blick Art Materials. I did discover that your 140 lb 11" x 15" watercolor paper tears too easy when wet for stapling to stretcher frame. I use Arches full sheets instead and they dry as tight as a drum!

Mom loves this place. Great selection. Lots of sales. Easy to park. Quick and easy to get what you want and get out. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. What's not to like?

(1/23) Has Blick's gone WOKE? I have read the recent reviews, but none of these were my experience. I do like the store for what it offers and other craft stores don't have certain items and their online store is the next thing if you already know what your going to buy. I recall going to Blick's in the past and since the pandemic, the employees attitude have changed. It has become WOKE. I went in looking for something and , yes an employee did help me find an item, I asked about their Facebook page, which showed some new items, and her response, " I don't see them, I'm so busy, that i or we can't comment on them. We have families and we don't have time. Wait a minute. If a customer needs to find supplies for a project on their webpage, that is the response they are going to give? What does the employee gain from saying this to me or any other customer? This is called victim hood. As an employee, their job is to help customers and be knowledgeable about their website new arrivals of whatever product has been released, and further more she relayed that's why they don't do demonstrations because it takes time away from their families. I will write to the headquarters to see if WOKE has impacted this business because it's not good for business.

This is a great store for finding art supplies. The staff is generally always friendly and helpful. My only complaint about the store is its size. It is a smaller store so it doesn't always carry all of the brands I like. If you are looking for a specific brand I recommend calling before you drive down. Prices for professional supplies are also generally reasonable.

This place is the best. I moved to the Omaha area from a large West Coast city with wonderful art supply stores. Since moving here, I have become accustomed to stores that carry the minimum. I have come to rely too much on on-line ordering. Blick's puts paid to the idea you can't get 'that stuff' here. Currently, I am binding several books so the stuff I was shopping for was a little out of the main stream for supplies. No surprise, they had everything I wanted and then some. Got a nice discount because my wife is an educator as well as an additional discount because I signed up for a store sponsored on-line program. I saved a ton and walked out happy.

Hard to not want to buy all of the things in this store. Staff is friendly and helpful, and not hard to find one when you have questions. Found the best zippered pouch for my travel sketchbook and pencils to go in. Found a cool tarot deck in the center aisle of random stuff. Take advantage of the frequent sales and student/teacher discounts. Be advised, they do not do custom framing. Also their Speedball silkscreening kits are cheaper here than Michael's.

I travel an extra 30 minutes to get to Blicks Art store in Omaha because of 1) the large selection and 2) the great staff! I have a Hobby Lobby two miles from my house but their supplies are extremely limited and the people working there are rude and they know nothing about what few materials they do handle. Conversely, at Blick's they have a large product based to pick from and if they don't have something on hand, they'll order it in for you. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they KNOW their merchandise. If you need advice on any of their goods, ask away! They'll have someone there who can help you. Also,if they see I'm buying something that will be on sale in a few weeks they'll TELL me, asking, "Oh wait a minute.. We do have a sale on that item coming up in a few weeks...Would you prefer to wait?" I buy in bulk so telling me about a sale can really make a difference (I'll buy enough to cover my needs and come back in two weeks to load up - which saves me a bundle in the long run). If it's not obvious by now - I LOVE their store and am really glad I have one within driving distance. :D

Blick Art is the one place in Omaha where you'll find all art material especially for paintings. If you have never heard of this place that's simply because you are not a painter buying in store in Omaha. And the staff is quite knowledgeable and helpful. They even help me save money with a 10% discount that I wasn't aware I could get! Their honesty and material available earns an A+in my book.

Since this store is a hop, skip, and a jump away from UNO, they always have relevant products for the art classes in session right at the front of the store, just to make things easier for art students to stop in, grab what they need, and head out, should they be in a hurry. Along with that, the cycle of supplies always makes sure that beginner art students will always find what they need. I went in at the beginning of the spring semester with a list of supplies (some I had, others I had no idea what they were), and I had two employees take time out of their schedule to assist me around the store with recommendations and suggestions as to which supplies would be worth to buy top line and which supplies could be "Blick Brand" (not saying Blick brand isn't top line, but it's often a cost-effective option). The only thing I don't care for is that some of the "sales" aren't really sales, they're an advertisement saying its a sale with an inflated "previous price" and a somewhat lowered new price. That being said, I still end up buying the item because it's a store I love, support, and will always spend money at.

I just got into painting so this was a nice store to check out. My biggest problem is that there is no parity between website and store. It's 2019 and you can't see what they have in stock or have something ready to pick up in store. I was gifted a Bob Ross kit for Christmas and the website lists a cleaning kit and the individual items. They didn't have either. I did purchase some paint thinner and canvases.

Blick Art Materials store is a excellent store to shop, the employees are friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about art supply's.Just ask them and they will direct you in the right direction on what is and what is not and then they will let you make up your own mind on what to purchase. Some art material is expensive and some is not. Since my child has been in the art world I now see why pictures cost so much to purchase/money.

They usually have what you are looking for in art supplies. I do think the small createx bottles of paint are a lil pricey for the size and never understood why they never carry anything bigger than the 2-4oz bottles. Except black n white I think it's a 12 oz.. bottle in those 2 colors only. Hobby lobby does the same thing?!. Good for when you are in a pinch and ran out of paint or supplies and dont want to have to wait for shipping.

The only true art supply store in Lincoln or Omaha, NE. I am a semi professional nitpicky artist and these guys are the only ones to carry my favorite colored pencils individually, not in a set. A bit on the expensive side but the quality and variety of specific art supplies is worth it!
