I really loved going here with my Bernese mountain dog. We went to get a few vaccines today and everyone was so friendly!!! The intake gentleman was so knowledgeable and sweet. The vet that gave the shots along with his assistant were so great. My dog was super comfortable and really liked being there. I am definitely coming back here. ❤️

I love coming to this Petco. After many visits we have come to know a lot of the staff, and they are all very kind and knowledgeable. We have enrolled our pup in the puppy classes and it is definitely worth it. The instructor Kelly is very knowledgeable and patient. We love bringing Ace for his puppy classes. Definitely see an improvement in his behavior after these classes. Highly recommend!

Prices are a bit higher than online so buy online and pay then pickup your order for a discount. If you use PayPal, you may only get the credit back as a merchandise credit which can't be used online. The store items can be a bit dusty and some customers no doubt misshelved items making it sometimes hard to find inventory.

Percy is a place you can get all your pet needs from beds, to cages, to food, treats and toys. The workers were helpful. You also ADOPT a cat on site. There were two kitties there and it was awfully hard not to take them home. They also have an extensive fish section as well as birds, gerbils, etc.

I wish there is a bigger selection of creatures to buy. In addition to the animals on pictures below there were some small snakes, lizards, parrots and more tiny fishes. Some cats were there for adoption too. Otherwise clean, not too big store at a convenient location.

Pretty okay place. Has kittens near the grooming section so you can torture yourself with the dilemma of adopting another pet while your current pet is getting groomed. Or better yet on your shopping for pet supplies and you see a cute pair of eyes staring across the aisle at you. It's a gamble of who you asked to help you though. Some workers are eager while other workers would rather be anywhere else than helping you.

I love Petco. Ever since I got my pup back in 2014, I've been going to Petco for her food supplies, toys, apparels, bedding, grooming and traveling supplies. The staff there are very friendly and always greets and provides assistance to assure that you get the best suitable product for your pet. Then the have available the VetCo clinic that available for all pet lovers to get their vaccines at a lower rate than going to a private Vet. What more could you ask for.

This is my local PETCO. I love going there, the employee are generally very polite. I’m in the store at least once per month for the past 8-10yrs and I have never had a bad experience. The store is clear and the merchandise are easily located.

I love the Petco location in West Orange. All of the staff is great especially Alex a very friendly and kind staff member. My cat is on UTI food so I can call anytime to see if the food and any other items I need are in stock. Alex has everything at the front register wait for me so I don't have to waste time on my lunch hour which I appreciate because of my busy schedule. Alex has a lot of knowledge on many animal from food, to litter , or animal little bad behaviors. I will continue using the west orange location and stop shopping at Pet Smart.

Cat adoptions are at the front. The reptiles and other animals being sold makes me upset because they just sit there and most people buying from a pet store have little knowledge on the animal as should rescue if they are considering become a momma or daddy to a new baby so the sales to chain stores and breeding can stop. But the service and products have gotten better , the meal worms are actually alive and the staff knows what they are talking about most times. Also dog training in store is available but again there are many small businesses with quality / same brands

I have mixed emotions about this place, on one hand I'm an animal guy so I'm there multiple times a month, on the other hand I fight myself from calling a staff member sometimes to take out a dead fish from a tank. I'd honestly wish they would have dedicated staff for tank maintenance, it would incline me to purchase fish from them instead of bagged products. Besides that, amazing customer service from the staff.

From the minute we walked into this store to the time we left the attention we received and our little blind, Maxie who we just rescued from the shelter. They helped us from his food, his wardrobe his treats and recommendations on what would be the best foods would be good for our senior boy. This is my go to store for both my family and my boy.

The two cashiers at the register were extremely helpful. (Alex and Jen, I believe?) They answered any questions I had, and I was able to return a sweater that did not fit my new puppy. I also liked how I was asked if I wanted to donate a can of food to homeless cats.

I feel bad for the fishes in the Tupperware bowls filled with water. I'm assuming that's standard because they have the multiple fishes in the big tanks by the back,, but these sole fishes in these individualised plastic bowls?? I guess they are waiting to be purchased, seems like a terrible existence for them. I'm unsure on what kind of fishes those are.

Awesome location with a wide variety of products for all types of animals. They have grooming on the premises and great selection of tropical fish. A staff member was even so courteous to let me hold the cutest ferret ever!

The staff are so helpful, friendly and precautions conscious....masks worn properly over nose, hands cleaned. They carry everything I need and I get it at a discount. Just need caps and masks for cat lovers now! I'll be back soon....as usual. Parking is plentiful and there is handicapped parking and a handicapped accessible entrance. Bus stop is other side of the lot on Prospect Ave.

This place is a pet lovers haven. They have a great selection, they're grooming service is topnotch, and their staff love all animals. The employees are always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They even helped me get my cat (that I found outside) up to date on shots and spayed.

The staff in the grooming center are excellent. I switched to here from PetSmart in South Orange by chance after having a hard time getting an appointment. I've tried a few local grooming services, but the people here really draw me back. They remember your dog and it's the first place I've brought him to that he seems to enjoy going to, at least doesn't get nervous when he walks in. The team clearly enjoys what they do and it shows in their service.

Pretty good general pet store; decent supplies - I usually find what I need for my dog, rabbit, and guinea pig - and attentive staff. Prices are what's expected for this chain. I haven't used there grooming service so I can't rate them on that.

Petco in West Orange is very warm. I've adopted 3 ferrets here and I was suprised by the price. $ 50 was a steal tbh. Thank you to the staff for answering the phone and treating me with expert service. Will be buying my ferret toys soon.

Good excursion for kids to see pets like ferrets, cats, gerbils, lizards, fish, snakes and birds. The day we visited, a veterinarian was also doing vaccinations for dogs and cats, so we were able to meet quite a few as an extra bonus during our visit. Staff was super friendly and helpful!!!

When I arrived, the clinic was experiencing difficulties due to missing paperwork; however the staff was very accommodating and offered us 20 percent off for our troubles. Once the clinic was up and running, the vets took care of us very quickly. I will continue to return to this Petco location for all of my pet care needs.

Have always had a great experience at this location. I use the vetco weekend service for shots, the dog training classes, and the grooming. I have never had a bad experience at this petco location. Yet again on 11/23/19 they have been top notch. I was refused grooming service at the parsippany petco and the west orange petco took care of my dog with no problem. They are true professionals who care and know how to deal with animals. I can’t thank them enough and From now on I will make the trip to west orange even though parsippany is closer.

Called all central New Jersey looking for a 75 gallon aquarium. All the Petcos were really not helpful at all other then West Orange location. The whole staff helped me out a ton. I went there bc I had a new born kitten that was dieing and I needed the 1 guys help 2 find what I needed and he was so concerned and sweet!! I'll never 4get him!! He even said if I wanted to call the store to give him an update on the kitten. Well, the kitten ended up passing away 15 min after I got home with the medicine it needed. Only 9 days old. Poor thing. Rip little 😺.
