I went there looking for a crabapple tree that produces fruit and I found one. They had the cutest little clay nativity set on the front counter in a clay saucer. Lots of nice trees, plants and flowers to choose from. Friendly staff.

Been purchasing fish from pet smart and petco. Fish just keep dying and spread disease to other fish. Went here and fish are health, disease free. Finally we have live fish in our tank. Will never buy from the other places again.

Great selection of plants and critters. There’s also plenty of items to make sure those plants and critters are happy. Greenhouse is super neat, lots of unique plants. Prices were fair, there’s parking a good amount of parking in the front. Also staff was friendly. I’d suggest going just for something to do!

The owner said of the Rose Garden is Mr. Mike. He is now a much older gentleman these days who serves his customers with dignity and much respect as he always did from day number 1. It's quite a great store if ever you need anything to do with animals or plants. Not the hugest place but for the space they do have they use it well. They have rats/mice to feed up your snake, white bunny rabbits for pets, a huge selection of different type of fish for your aquarium, amongst many a many of other typical things that you would expect in a garden store.

It is near impossible not to walk out of Rose Garden without a plant, knick knack, or gardening item. They even have pets & pet supplies in the store.

The plants are well cared for. The variety is stellar. They took the time to give their customers information with signs on almost every plant. Nobody else does this. If they do then it's sub par to Rose Garden. Besides the best of the best and the most hard to find greenery they offer fish and pond supplies, reptiles and bunny rabbits Their fish tanks are pristine. Father and son team keep this area tip top. They know their field and are quick to answer your questions to educate. All tanks are full with healthy fish and clear water. You need to go to Rose Garden today. Beautify your soul with nature's best.

I like this place. When you walk in the main building it brings back the memories of garden centers of old because of the heavy aroma of pest insecticide and fertilizer. You don’t smell that anymore in new stores. For amateur gardeners the good stuff is outside and at reasonable prices. Check out their plant hospital for discount overgrown or dried out plants that you might be able to bring back to health. What out for that little shrew Asian lady. She’ll tear you a new one if you ask a question she deems undeserving of her expertise. I haven’t seen her in my last two visits. I hope she’s ok. She kept me on my toes. Definitely worth checking out.

Not only is the plant selection wonderful and reasonably priced, the staff is knowledgeable and pleasant. My favorite part, what keeps me coming back, is the very charming gentleman at the register. They are really nice there and are quick to help. Or get you in and out if your in a rush. Also good prices. (Not the cheapest but for sure not over priced.) Convenient also. Every bit of 5 stars in my opinion.

This is a fine little nursery. Great variety, rabbits, birds and the plant selection is wonderful. Even beautiful bonsais, cacti and exotic ferns, roses, camellias, azaleas, etc. Owners and staff are so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Restrooms available.

MAPS brought me to a 2nd location that I was unaware of. I had only shopped at the other establishment prior to this visit. I travel to Gretna twice a year and always stop at Rose's on the way home. I can say that both locations get a 5 star rating. There is nothing better than shopping for your pet and gardening needs at a place where the staff always go above and beyond to service you. The knowledge the staff has to offer along with their kindness and superior customer service keeps me coming back.

Best place to buy fish in NOLA and really the only place on the West Bank! The plants are great too and everyone is so helpful! Cassie runs the fish part and she is very knowledgeable and eager to help. If there's a certain fish you want that's not there she'll be sure to find it and get it! Great local business! I visit rose gardens at least twice to three times a month each time I've been there it's always been a great experience my favorite is the one that's on westbank expressway the other one is wonderful but the one on West Bank expressway has the people that I really love the plants are beautiful of course I have rabbit so I go there for my rabbit food and other things I need to the people who work there are very informative if I could rate them more than five stars they would probably have a hundred keep up the great work

I LOVE wandering around this Marrero gem. All my cares float away in the midst of the abundant and exotic flora. You will either find something you want - or something you need. Go ahead and buy local. I cannot grant an extra star because the inside store smells so incredibly bad. All the time. Please clean those cages more frequently and I'll certainly linger inside, too. (Cedar helps erase the animal odors.)

Just stumbled into the Rose Garden - totally fell in love with this place. Best discovery I've made in ages! -Unlike the big box stores, the Rose Garden center has a great selection of unusual plants, fragrant flowers, flowering shrubs, tropical vines and all manner of fauna and flora especially suited for New Orleans gardens (It's also more affordable than the fancified places like Perrinos). If you are looking for an authentic, great, locally owned store to keep alive this one is well worth the trip.
