This location has the best "Gumbo Soup" with "Grill Cheese Sandwich"in New Orleans! There "Shrimp Friend Rice"m spot everytime!They have a huge selection of "Fresh & Hot" food to go! Even the owner is very professional and shes goes out her way to make you leave happy. I highly recommend this location to all my family and friends!

I have lived around the corner for years now and have never been inside. The Gumbo is full of tender chicken shrimp and sausage and is so flavorful. The creole chicken is incredibly tender and delicious too.

Cafeteria set up hard to know what to get gumbo is decent but not as good as Armantine Seafood and Spirits at 720 Saint Louis St in the French qtr. I'm sorry it just the truth the gumbo could be more banging but it's great on the fly without fine dining I love the staff and location doesn't have great parking but def rotation on spaces within ten minutes cute but just another quick stop tbh

Doesn’t get more authentic than this! A grocery store/deli with hot food, serving real New Orleanian locals! 😂 Don’t expect much from the outside, but this place has awesome Po-boys, red beams & rice, and fried chicken. Prices are near the lowest you’ll find downtown, leading to an excellent price/value ratio. You can also pick up some local drinks and snacks...they have just about every flavor of Big Shot Soda! Keep in mind that it’s take-out only, so grab a hot sausage po-boy and eat it on the corner like the locals!

Last stop was the best stop for eats Hot sausage po boy, gulf frued shrimp, gumbo, stuffed crab and I'm a bird eater but I ate all of it. It took me a couple days breakfast, lunch and dinner but I loved it all. My go to from now on. Even brough some back to Atlanta.

Grilled bomeless chicken thigh's are alway's thick and juicy. One of the best places to get in housemade gumbo in the city. The food is consistently on point in regards to taste and preperation. The portion size of the menu item's are appropriately priced and the service is fairly quick even when the line of people waiting to order is out the door.

This is a nice clean walk in/take out food store. It is on the other side of the street from the busy Broad and Banks gas station. These folks have a pretty good gumbo, I must say.....I highly recommend it!

They always seem to find a magical way to not scoop up smoke sausage in them red beans or shrimp out that gumbo, but it's still good. You just got to get on them sometimes.

Hole in the wall with cardboard on the floor for what I think is because of the broken floor. Gumbo was ok nothing spectacular. Might want to fix up the place because it desperately needs a bit of TLC & its off putting.

Everything here is amazing. We got the spicy shrimp, gumbo, and the po boy. All among the best that we've found in the city. There is no seating here though so be sure to have a spot ready to each elsewhere.

Broad and Banks Seafood is a truly local establishment. You won't find tourists here except those most willing to venture into real New Orleans. The sandwiches and gumbo were recommended to me so I tried the gumbo which did not disappoint. It's a little thinner than most you'll find but the flavor is great. There is clearly an Asian influence in the cooking because you'll find fried rice, egg rolls, and lo mein next to gumbo, fried chicken, and red beans. It's truly worth a stop if you want a glimpse of the real taste of local NOLA.
