Employees are super helpful and have a lot of knowledge on product, if they aren't sure they are honest about it and will ask another employee. They have constant sales, which is great! They are a bit on the pricier side, which is my only complaint.

This place is awesome! Every artists dream and more! I am not a novice artist and they even had supplies I was unfamiliar with. Great selection of supplies, super clean, and organized store. The staff was excellent and friendly, also extremely knowledgeable. The young woman who helped me( I believe her name was Halen) was extremely kind, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend stopping by at least to look around!!!

BLICK has never been too mobility-friendly but I really do love going into these stores. Everyone is polite, there's usually at least one great artist onsite (this cost we got to see the windows getting painted for Halloween), and it's easy to find everything. The in-store sales help bring people in and I really appreciate staff wearing masks (now please require masks for everyone?)

I'm a 70yo caricature artist. I have been using a product for many years that the manufacturer has discontinued. I was informed of this and abruptly dismissed by various art supply sources. However, at this Blick a very personable, knowledgeable young woman listened, understood and did her best to solve the problem. She found what they had left in stock of the discontinued product. Then patiently discussed and showed me alternatives she felt might interest me. She compared them, in one instance favorably, to the discontinued product. I had been concerned about having sufficient quantity in time for an upcoming event as well as for future work. But the proximity of the brick and mortar store and knowledgeable clerk turned a barricade into a tiny speed bump. Also, it was nice to be eye to eye with a human that understood what I was talking about and could relate. All in all it was not only a timely and productive, but also a very pleasant, experience.

Nice store for the artist, or budding artist. Staff is friendly and eager to assist however needed. Surprisingly smaller then it appeared from the website photo, but had a great variety nonetheless. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the location... I didn't appreciate having to park 4 blocks away after driving around for what seemed an eternity looking for an open space.

Excellent Selection, Friendly Staff, Great Location. Blick Art Materials has the largest selection of art specific materials compared to other stores I've been to in the area. Where many other stores focus more on crafts supplies and textiles, Blick houses art supplies from almost every discipline and has a good selection of each. The staff is very helpful and was immediately able to help me find what I was looking for, and was happy to give suggestions on which product to choose. It's clear they don't just work there, but have a passion for art as well. The location has decent parking options and is near a selection of restaurants and coffee shops and as an added bonus is within walking distance of Milwaukee Public Market.

I was just looking for some 24 x36 canvas for my next painting. It was easy to navigate through the store grab my canvas. The store wasn't too busy so the staff was able to ensure I got the right canvas for my painting. They had some nice sales for back to school as well. I would recommend becoming a member (it's free)so you get the extra discount when shopping as well as you get occasional emails about other sales.

Well, this is the only fine art store within 500 miles of my location. Its a great store in a hard to get to location (for people not used to Milwaukee)(great for people going to MIAD) The employees were super helpful and knowledgeable. I like the in store experience SO much more than Blicks hard to use website. It is unfortunate that this is the only one in Wisconsin.

Great store! Very helpful. But I wish they offered a mailing service. Sure, I can see the products, then fly home and order them on line, but what fun is that? Most stores offer mailing, and it is such a nice feeling to touch and interact with the products and people, and then get those very same products delivered to my home a few days later. I would have bought much more. As it is, I only got what I could carry on a plane.

I needed some seamless paper for my Photography business, and called to check inventory...Mike found what I needed, and put the rolls aside for me. I went to the store for pick up today...Friendly staff, Mike explained another good deal on 4x8' foam-core and helped me with the doors, The store Manager also helped with my tax exempt forms. As an artist, i ALWAYS love and prefer coming to Blick, over big box stores like Michael's. The staff is usually so knowledgeable about the product and what they have, helping me find items and deals that i didn't know existed!!! I come up from Racine every chance i get. I really wish there was one closer, to me, than the 3rd ward. I know i can shop online for some of their product, but being able to actually hold what i want to buy, and the staff, are what make it worth it.

Blick's is a true artist supply store with knowledgeable and friendly staff ready to help the moment I walk in the door. I asked Andy about watercolor brushes and he suggested a brush that is working out perfectly and also gave me an exchange on a brush that I did not like. This is the only place I know where an artist can get advice on supplies from other artists. Definitely worth the trip downtown to get the art stuff I need.

BEST art supply store for painters, illustrators, and anyone who loves to draw. I was given a student discount for being at MATC which is 10% off everything, and I got the preferred card for free so that the prices matched the sale prices I found online. An employee could tell that I was a bit lost and asked me what I needed- I had a complicated list of items to find per my paint teacher and they knew immediately what I was talking about. I will not be supporting companies like Hobby Lobby who pump their income into Trump campaigns and I WILL take the extra drive to support this company. They just do things better than any other art supply store I've been to.

I feel so grateful to have a Blick in Milwaukee. This store in particular has helpful and encouraging staff who will give you ideas on new tools and techniques to try. They have classes and workshops, and frequent sales. Definitely sign up for free as a preferred customer to get discounts and notifications of sales. Yesterday everything was 20% off and they do that a few times a year.

I was unsure what size canvas to buy and asked the stores assistant manager on duty what kind of canvas he thought would fit my car based on the car model. He grabbed a tape measure to measure my car to see what would fit. I ended up buying two canvases that barely fit into my car but he made it work. I wish I could remember his name but he was very kind and went above and beyond to meet my shopping needs. Definitely the art store to go to and I will be coming back for future projects!

Great art store. Lots of resources and materials. Pricey on some items but most art stores are, plus they do offer competitive pricing and will price match in some cases. Best of all they have Angelus Paints!

I was surprised! I expected Blick Art Materials to be one of those standard large chain stores...somewhere between a Michaels and an Office Depot... who carry a lot of stuff but not much of any one thing! Wow, was I blown away! The store is small and comfortable but there are awesome things around every corner. If you have your favorite mediums, they have them. Or, if you're like me, one who has an adventurous spirit... they have that too! The problem with Blick Art Materials is the location. In the heart of Milwaukee's trendy 3rd Ward, parking is an absolute disaster! If you're planning to spend the day exploring the restaurants and shops it is totally worthwhile to spend the $10 or $20 to pay for a space in a lot. I went on a late Sunday morning to pick up only a few items... 30-45 minute visit to Blick only... if it weren't for my passenger driving around the streets waiting for the call I was done, then pulling up out front... I most likely wouldn't have stopped at all. However, the item I was specifically searching for isn't available on their website. Worth a stop but plan the event before you go.

I believe they could be alot more friendly, I understand there are changes going on because of covid but to not be able to touch anything and those confusing arrows. I didnt feel comfortable enough to ask employees for help because they seem very abrasive/rude. I didn't get to buy everything I needed, this is the third time I've dealt with rude employees, I wont be shopping here anymore.

Love having a Blick semi-nearby! Great selection of products, though definitely expensive (but you won't find quality art supplies for cheap.) Fun to browse! Parking is difficult to find and kind of a nightmare due to the confusing downtown Milwaukee location, but if you're lucky enough to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time, you hopefully won't have a problem.

A great place to pick up art supplies, the staff is very knowledgable and friendly and can help even the most beginner artist. The student discount is awesome (not restricted to art students or just MIAD, any major or school can get the discount!) and they always have sales or events going on as well.

Clean, organized, great place to go if you need some basic art materials. The ceramics section is only one aisle, but that's how it is. Painting supplies take up the majority of the store. Prices are reasonable.

A little disappointed in MKE Blick store. Went in for 72” canvas and a jug of Gamsol. Both were out of stock. Wouldn’t really have been a big deal, but I had to stand in line outside to find out they didn’t have what I wanted in stock.

Good store with a lot of art materials. I spent atleast a good 30 minutes in the store and definitely could stay longer. Nice to have a store close by with more of a variety than the stores Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Both very good stores but this place just has more.

Best place to go when you are an architecture student who forgot to buy supplies. Offers spray paint, acrylic, water color, oil pastel etc. Basswood and model building materials are limited but plethora of general model building materials. Essentially a Joan fabrics without all the sowing machines and yarn. Student rewards gets you good deals on everything

I love Blick's art store. They have so many great supplies for art! Saturdays they do demonstrations of an art supply and allow you to play around with it to see if you would like it. I know it's a ploy to get you to buy the product, but it's a nice way to try new things. They also do art contests that any anyone can participate in. I suggest getting a Blick's saver card. When you check out, their cash register compares their price to other stores and if their price is higher, they give you the lower price. One last thing, Blick's also sells fun gimick things. It's hard to explain, but definitely worth checking it out. I have found many fun gifts there, for example, I am now the proud owner of an eraser that is an ear! Blick's is defiantly one of my favorite places!

They have a pretty good selection. This considering there are online choices with more selection in addition to Blick online. Besides selection the prices are ok. Again, there are other choices such as jo Anne fabrics and even Menards. The workers are knowledgeable and helpful.

Very friendly, nice place with knowledgeable employees and fun events and promotions. The prices aren't terribly expensive for the most part, especially with the web-match program--and the student discount is back! Selection is good for such a tiny place, they've got a solid stock of basics, pretty much anything a MIAD student is going to need on the regular, and a little fun stuff--if you're a printmaker or sculptor, the big location on Farwell Ave will suit you better. I've also had issues in the past with them closing earlier than listed. Employees make up for the issues, though!
