This was our first trip to this location and we fell in love. We ended up adopting two kittens from their lot. We went inside to spend time with the kittens and when we met these two, they were ours. The adoption process was quick and simple. The workers are super attentive and thoughtful. They assured us regarding the kittens' records and gave us plenty of insight to make this a very easy transition for everyone. We're so happy with the new additions to our family. I recommend coming here in person and getting to know the store. The other workers stocking the place and helping us as cashiers are super knowledgeable and patient. I know we'll be back here for more supplies for sure.

It's not in the best of neighborhoods but it's worth the visit. All the employee's there are super nice and very helpful. The deals are super awesome also, especially when you adopt a kitten from them. It's almost unbelievable how many deals they have me for my kitten. Trust me, you'll love it!!!!

May not have the best selection but has enough variety. Cheaper than most other petcos/petsmarts I've been too and workers are nice and knowledgeable. They also always have cats up for adoption inside the store. More places are lucky if you see one.

The betta cups were filthy and there were 2 DEAD ones rotting in their cup. I purchased one of the livelier ones just to save him from dying in a disgusting smelly goo. It's a shame what those poor fish go through.

Friendly and efficient staff. Shelves are well stocked. Only recommendation for is to be careful of the homeless in the area, they walk on the streets and don't look for oncoming cars and run across randomly.

They have done better. I buy hundreds dollars of cat food every week, and I'm a little much. The employees there have to put up with a lot of stuff. It's a very busy store and it's in a rough neighborhood. I will try to be more polite when I go there.

It's nice to have a Petsmart in town. They have a really good way to display their products as well as their pet fish. It's very organized and the customer service is really good. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Cleanliness is good and hours are great. My only gripe about this location is that whenever I drive by on Nimitz, they look closed because their sun blinds are always down. They're open but always check their hours on Google as well as the special holiday hours. Other than that, I like this store better than their major competitor.

Staff is usually friendly and helpful. I take my dog here to get groomed and he has looked great each time. Items are a little pricey, but sign up for email special offers and coupons. They almost always have a coupon.

I order online frequently using the free DoorDash delivery option and the convenience is great. However, as others have said, they run out of stock often. My orders will be altered after placing, and sometimes only a few cans get delivered. I tried to contact the store to see if they could order more of a specific food to this location (it’s always stocked in Kapolei) and was told that’s not possible. They don’t control what they stock, the orders just arrive and they unbox them. Seems like a bit of an odd inventory policy to me, but it is what it is. It’s a corporation, not an independent, locally ran shop.

I get natural dog food for my friend's dog here. You know they have good ingredients in their products. Only drawback is that they sometimes run out of items. Best to stock up when you can. Store is clean.

My dog is a large and strong, wild one. The groomers here really did a good job taking care of her. (I will update with a name later) My girls nails were over due by a month+, as we've recently moved on island; and have been in a hotel, so she's not been able to work them down naturally. She was extra stressed when we went in. Our groomer honestly did one of the best jobs yet! When I peeked in, she was standing still and calm. And I am just super pleased, and will be going back.

So far this is the only pet store we've found that carries the food we feed our pup. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. They do not have a public restroom due to the homeless population that used to take advantage of it. I would only go to this store during the day for sure.

Went in to buy pet essentials, and was surprised by the lack of markup on the litter. Petco has it for $70, and it was $58.99 here, which matched their online price, unlike Petco

I went here to spontaneously buy a fish and not only did they explain and educate me on the process and routine care, they were professional and guided me down aisles (without me asking) so that I knew where to purchase food, decor, and even down to gravel for the tank. Even when I went back to test the water for my tank and new employees were working, same atmosphere and professionalism. I truly consider that to be the best petsmart in the area. I can be really careful about the care of my pets so just knowing that they are patient with me when I call with questions or go to the store with concerns, it’s pretty cool. I’d recommend making your purchases at this location any time.

Bought a 10 gallon tank set for $33, a similar set up costs $76 on 9/2019 at the other big box pet store, definitely pocket friendly!! Aquarium decorations and fake plants are a better price too. They are a good option in terms of competitive pricing for most fish, small animals or dog items. Sorry, I don't have a cat to know about cat products. Location in the day is okay, sketchy at night.

Always wonderful staff here, clean store, and well stocked. Prices, of course, run a bit high so save yourself a bit of money and check the chewy dot com page for price matches! Also be careful coming in because the parking lot is oddly designed and PetSmart got the shaft on that end. Groomers at this location are almost always swamped! So making an early appointment is in your best interest. If your dog has a doublecoat like mine and you're getting them a bath make sure you're ready to get a damp dog back, you know those driers can't handle those coats so let your groomer know it's okay. I didn't know this the first time we went and they kept my poor dog for 5 hours trying to get her dry, I was mad at the time until we realized why, now we just tell them not to worry about her being damp!

They had an large dog kennel in stock I could not find elsewhere. Could not have them hold it until I could get to the store and check it out, but I was able to purchase it online and then have them hold it. Store appears well-stocked and shoppers look satisfied, but parking is inadequate.

We needed cat kibble. We walked in the door and there was a display of clearance items. They get a star for not making us go to the back of the store to find the clearance table. There was a bag of premium quality cat kibble for 90% off! We were in and out of the store in 5 minutes and paid less than $2 for a 3.5# bag of premium cat kibble.

A very good experience from the beginning. I was greeted sincerely and found the aquariums and fish were just as pleasant. I collect Gouramis and really appreciated the health of the fish. A pristine and professional environment with prompt service. By far the best Aquarium fish store on Waikiki Honolulu side.

They had what I needed and purchased online and just stopped in to pick up. It was so quick. I ordered twice from another company and they said it was in stock only to notify me that I couldn't pick up out of stock. Petsmart was so much better. I will go online to Petsmart first from now on. And the price was a little better too.

We went there for a first fish tank for my kids. Julian was super helpful and knowledgeable. He helped us pick out an all in one tank kit, water conditioner, aquarium rocks, and food. He let us know which fish would be good to start out with and why. Told us the hazards of taking a fish home the same day as our tank. Informed us of a 30% off sale. We saved a lot of money as opposed to the set up we had priced at Pet Land in Kahala and Kalihi Pet Center. We purposely went to These stores to avoid a big box store and tried to shop local. We paid a total of $66 at Pet Smart and got a system that fit our dimensions and purpose perfectly. The other stores lacked stock or sizes or replacement parts and the systems they recommended would have cost us around $200, not a beginner level system. One if the stores recommended that we check out Pet Smart, I'm glad that he did, we are very happy with our purchase. The store is fairly new so it is clean and there were a lot of employees willing to help.

Store is ok. This area is not the best. Lots of homeless drinking and possibly doing drugs. Parked there was two guys drinking right outside. I came out and one was on his wheel chair passed out drooling. Security was checking on him. Store is nice, I would be careful at night.

First, it's in a convenient location and because I usually purchase quite a bit of Catfood to feed a couple hundred homeless and stray cats in the area, they allow me to park MY shopping cart safely inside the store, away from people who might want to steal my belongings, while I shop with e-gift cards, donated by Cat Friends on several of the Facebook Cat groups that I am a member of. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and compassionate towards me and my purpose and have more than once, allowed me in as they were ready to close. Amir, THE coolest employee there, has helped me transport a huge delivery, and even donated to my cause as well. After work was finished of course. PetSmart has what I need, the prices are excellent, and I'm very happy that they have come to Honolulu. I would definitely recommend to anyone, to shop there instead of the other Pet Stores.

Great prices, much cheaper than prices at Petco for cat supplies. The staff are much friendlier than the staff at Petco as well. They seem to take good care of the kittens and cats that are up for adoption in between visits from the rescue group that runs the adoption center.

There is plenty of parking in the lot. The store has a wide selection of products. Many items are cheaper here than petco. Online shopping is very easy with in store pickup. Usually ready in an hour or so and you can go straight to the register to pick it up. Very convienent!

Ok store. Good if you are looking for basic stuff for your pet. There isn’t much variety though compared to the local pet shops. Service is good except i asked to use the restroom and they said it’s not for the public..even though i used it last time i asked.. other than that, not bad. This is my favorite pet store on the island, hands down. I definitely choose petsmart over petco anyday. They have wat better prices, better variety of product and they offer great services as well. I have taken my puppy to the affordable wellness group that goes there on the weekends. They are great as well. The staff can be a little more approachable, but they are nice. It just feels like they dont know as much as they should. Other then that I absolutly love the place, haha!

Teneshia, the trainer at Petsmart, is amazing! She helped my puppy, Chance, so much. We were able to learn many skills, and I was able to build a better bond with my puppy. There is much to learn through the program about how to properly train your dog and how to care for them. I highly recommend going through the training program.

I took the wrong road and walked for a long time. It's large, and there's a hairdresser at the entrance. It's through glass, so I looked around a bit. The bus stop is right next to it, so I waited indoors until the bus time, but it seemed too hot, so the staff moved the fan to our side. Really nice staff.👍
