One of the few department stores that you can get a nice suite, tie and dress shoes. And a reasonable price. They offer exchanges and refunds polite if you can find some one. I always ask first now do you work here? Last time the lady I assumed worked there helped me out showed me where the item was and went and checked out. What an incredibly nice woman.

Lots of reasonably priced business clothes and casual clothes. I love being able to shop in person. The only complaint is returns are in the far back corner of the store, not at every checkout line.

I found some great clothes in my size here. Mohawk was running the checkout and was freaking out because he had 3 customers in line. He spent more time yapping with the person and radioing for help then he did actually checking us out. The lady that came to help the clerk made of glass was great.

I'm going to give it three stars because I don't want to bring down the review scores for the entire store based on the experience my son and I had with ONE employee. I really really wish I had gotten her name. I would give it one star or less if I could target it at the one person we interacted with that day. My son went in looking for an engagement/wedding band set for him and his girlfriend. Unfortunately, we were helped by someone who really did not want to help us. First thing she said was that she was about to close down. I don't know why she was closing down at 3:00 in the afternoon. Every question we asked, she rolled her eyes and responded with a single syllable answer except when she told us that all the bands and rings that they had in the store were size 10 for men and 7 for women. Anything else would have to be ordered. My son told me later that he was pretty sure he saw other sizes in the display cases. So much for my son spending over $300 that day like you wanted to. We checked a few other places but I talked to him into going to JCPenney because the ads made it look like it would be a very good deal and because I have known JCPenney to be a good place to buy quality stuff at a really good price. We were in and out of there before 10 minutes was up because it was crystal clear that she simply did not want to sell anything and didn't have the patience to help us. It was a huge bummer because I don't get to hang out with my son very much, and we were looking for a possible engagement/ wedding ring for his girlfriend. That's a pretty important moment. She ruined that. And now I'm mad about it. Shame on her. I've been a loyal customer for MANY years. If I do go back into this store it will be to find her and get her name. She is NOT a keeper.

Omg! I had a blast at the JCPenney's in Fargo North Dakota! I'm from Texas and thought I'd see how different the stores are in the different states! I ended up saving almost $500. I met some wonderful store associates in the clothing and salon areas but I don't know what was up with the lady in the jewelry department who didn't acknowledge me the whole 30 minutes I was there looking at jewelry. I brought it to her attention and she gave me very un-apology but I didn't let her ruin my shopping experience! Kudos to Fargo-Jcpenny's and your sale!

Spent about an hour shopping upstairs. Never saw a single employee. Then went to pay for our purchase and couldn't find a single register upstairs. I guess you have to go downstairs to pay. I saw two places to play other than the jewelry counter. It's sad how understaffed places are.

I had to take a bracelet back that I bought as a gift. Had the bracelet and receipt and Lacy at the DL,MN Penny's was great. It took a lil bit but she got it handled and I just received the replacement today! Can't go wrong at JCPENNEY!

I had the best experience today at the Fargo JCPenney!! A week ago I stopped in to try some jeans for my very particular 7 year old son. I ended up grabbing 2 pair of jeans and was extremely excited to find a 4 piece suit combo for him as well. My checkout went smoothly and while the amount I was spending was more than I had anticipated, I reasoned that if the jeans were what he liked - I was willing to pay the extra. After trying the jeans on, we realized the cut was wrong and they just didn't work. While locating my receipt I realized I was charged for 3 pair of jeans instead of 2. Disappointed in my own lack of attention, I headed back to the store to return the 2 pair that didn't work. The cashier that assisted me today was training and the manager was telling her about the reasons why they should always scan each item instead of using 1 barcode to represent each of a similar item. I spoke up to defend the original cashier - she hadn't scanned 1 tag for 2 pairs of jeans. The manager gave me a questioning look and I explained that she actually accidentally charged me for 3 pair when I only had 2. But I didn't expect a return for that on the receipt because there was no way to prove that I never received the 3rd pair - it was totally my fault for not questioning my total the first day. He responded saying that he was not going to allow me to be charged for 3 pair when I didn't get 3 and especially since I was returning the 2 I did have since they were not what I wanted. Both the cashier and manager were polite and efficient. I truly appreciate the service I was given today at JCPenney - West Acres!!

Many associates seemed to be standing around talking, and were not of much assistance. The racks were not organized well. Difficult to find the right thing or know what the sale is on something if so many things are in the wrong location. When I left, the security sensor went off so we turned back in case something didn't get scanned properly but nobody working even seemed to look up. I double checked the items we purchased to find out that one item still had an ink tag on it. We live an hour and a half away and would've been in quite the bind had we gotten home and still had this on there. Overall an ok selection in store but not much assistance in the store and not the greatest attitudes from the people we did deal with.

Lots of very interesting merchandise. I was disappointed that a lot of it was not ironed but crumpled from being taken out of boxes. I only remember seeing two employees and that's from two floors at Penney's. We finally had to go behind curtains to find a dressing room. It looked like it had been vacated. Really a strange experience. Not like the panties of old.

Sondra went over and beyond to help me find my order this morning when they first opened that was cancelled since out of stock (last minute) . The store said had two but we're no where to be seen. After about an hour going back and forth and checking every single similar item she went in the back and found my order that was cancelled last minute. Overall very patient and professional. It was a headache waiting and trying to figure out the computer glitch but it was also worth it because I needed this item and expected it when time for pick up. Overall a great experience and sales and employees. I'm very satisfied

I had several returns from online purchases i made before and after Christmas and i didn't have receipts because u don't get actual receipts when u order online. The young lady that assisted with my returns was very knowledgeable in her job and it took no time at all. Very impressed

I don't like the store layout. Hard to find help. Macy's is nicer. But I did love the sales, the gift options. They had packages there with options I couldn't find elsewhere. They had sample perfumes/colognes in boxes, shaving kit bags that allowed the gift receiver to sample different options then bring in a voucher to receive the one they liked best. Whoever came up with that option is brilliant! If you don't know which cologne is their favorite, you don't have to, they get to choose along with try a huge amount of others for the price of one bottle!

The clothing and jewelry departments are great when there are clearance sales but the salon within JCPENNEY'S is amazing!! Think I found my new hair place. It would be worth the hour and a half trip plus have childhood friends that live in Fargo so it's a win win!!! No complaints!

One of my favorite place in town, great place to shop at. There are always great deals and my favorite feature is that there is a wide range of sizes and and the clothes are actually cute ! We went to Penny's in Fargo on the 26th. It was not too busy. We finished our shopping on 2nd floor when my husband got a dizzy spell. He held onto me. Along came an associate by the name of ARLETTE. She asked if we were ok. We weren't! She found us a place to sit while she got a wheel chair. She wheeled him to the elevator, to the checkout on lower level and all the way to our exit door.! What a gal! Someone was watching over us that day. ARLETTE was very pleasant and an asset to JCPENNY. My husband has a dr. appointment now. Thank you so much🤗💛Happy New Year.

By FAR the biggest store in the mall. Definitely a smidge too focused on selling to women specifically. Absolutely has some of the best deals around if you get in at the right times AND have a Penney's card. Sales are often too plentiful. There is usually something going on, but you really can never tell which sale is the best since they are so often.

There was only one pair of jeans in the whole place that was my size. Not their fault, I'm just an oddly built lumberjack looking guy who needs to lose 60 pounds so I can give them all my money. Other than my struggle for jeans... And a lasting relationship... this store is great. Large selection of anything clothing relate. I have even ended up browsing polo shirts, which I hate. That's how great this store is. The same concept goes for women in my life. Except JCPenny is way cheaper and of better quality.

Penney' s in Rochester, MN was awesome. Gal in Fargo was not really interested in showing me anything. Pretty disappointed although had to have the blinds so ordered from her. Wish I would of had the exact measurements when I was in Rochester as I would have ordered them there instead.

This store is a favorite of mine, they have a pretty large selection of everything. In recent years checking out has become extremely frustrating. They've removed certain register stations altogether and also at certain times of the day, WELL before it's time for the store to close, they will put a sign up and close registers down! One other thing that they fall VERY short on is keeping the women's fitting rooms cleaned. I dont mean clothes wise but rather the gobs of dust balls and hair all over every fitting room floor. Its rather gross. Keeping them swept daily should be a MUST.

Great sales and coupons. But the customer service is hit and miss depending upon which cashier you get. Some of them will use the coupon even if you forgot it. Others will be rude and basically say you're out of luck. That's really too bad when people are having a bad day or miserable work environment and choose to take it out on the customer.
