went to Milk Tea People every single day during my trip to Denver. first off, service is on the level of The Ritz-Carlton but for handcrafted teas. the crew is so professional, answered every question i had & every recommendation they gave did not disappoint. the place itself is so welcoming.. “basic” yet so stylish. you can see and taste the passion/craft put into these drinks. Milk Tea People sets the bar so high! try every thing on the menu. hope to visit again soon, you guys are the best.

Amazing Matcha Spot! My drink was delicious and we had the option to get it hot or iced. The place is really cool too with modern decor. There is a great spot outside to hang out as you wait for your drink to be ready. My only feedback is I wish the menu was more clear (maybe some English description). I didn’t know what most things in the menu were but the staff was very helpful explaining the items.

Super aesthetic store, super friendly staff, and super delicious drinks! The drink menu is innovative and has lots of unique flavor combinations that make me want to go back to try others. I got a strawberry cheese foam jasmine tea with less syrup, it was just sweet enough and tasted super fresh and refreshing. There’s a little bit of indoor seating and some outdoor seating too but not a cafe where you can sit and do work. But really can’t wait to come back to try more drinks!!

Employees really make an effort into making the drinks. The Thai tea was the closest to authentic I’ve had. Not too sweet/watery but just right. Ube waffle with ice cream is a must. Extra points for the concrete building and clean look.

Milk Tea People is located on Market street in Denver, CO. Its located inside next to Water Grill-Denver and they are known for making the BEST Milk Teas in Denver. The reason why I’m saying is the best is because they strive for quality over quantity. Their menu is small but the qulality of each of the drinks is phenomenal! For example, the matcha drinks is matcha powder that has been from Japan. You can really taste the quality of each of the matcha based drinks and how refreshing they are.I got their Strawberry Matcha and Lavender Matcaha and I got say, it’s been one of the best matcha drinks I had no joke! The strawberry matcha has a nice combo of sweet and bitter and you taste that nice blen throughout the drink. The Lavender Matcha had a nice floural taste with that bitterness of the matcha is a combination I never heard or seen before. I have to say it’s one of my favorite drinks on the menu and it’s super unique too! I also got their ube jasmine sweet cream and let me tell you this, it takes 2 hours just to prep the ube because they use actually taro roots, hand make the ube, and pure it all in 2 hours. Yes it’s a long time, but it’s so worth the quality. That creamy with that mellow nutty flavor had a nice mellow adn creamy flavor and it just tastes so well. It’s a nice creamy drink that is perfect to beat the awful heat! I also had that coconut ube wafchi which is basically a mochi waffle with vanilla gelato on top and it was a match made in heaven with that combination. Who says no to waffles and gelato has they were so yummy together. Overall, the drinks I had were one of the best milk tea drinks I ever had! They strive for quality over quantity while still making each flavor prominate and complement each other. I also love how warm and loving the staff are and you can tell they have a lot of passion on what they bring to Denver. Make sure you try out this bomb place.

10/10 drinks and service. The worker was super friendly, answered all our questions, and kept apologizing for the delay due to a big group order which was actually a very fair wait. I got strawberry cream cheese myself - it was just enough sweetness and meanwhile refreshing - would highly recommend!! My group also tried the black sesame drink. I took a sip- it was a bit heavier compared to my strawberry drink but got a really unique and good flavor.

The reason this store got 5 stars is I can only give up to 5 stars here. They had the best seller who introduced you all the difference between their drinks. Their drinks are totally different from other tea stores. The cream is smooth and creamy and it won't be too sweet. The tea itself is wonderful too. The combination of blueberries and lime and teaki is genius! Want to come back for another drinks

RAD experience and for sure the best matcha I’ve ever had! Ceremonial preparation, the quality was high vibrational as soon as it hit the tongue. The beautiful flavors. You HAVE to try this place if you love matcha and just good things in your mouth. I ordered 3 teas and all were insane delicious. The staff is beyond AMAZING and knowledgeable. I wish the customer experience was this top notch everywhere. I have definitely found a new fave spot! Thank you for such a lovely, rad start to my day. Can’t wait to go back.

I love this place. I'm glad it's downtown and not next door because I think about it all the time. I'm working my way through the menu now and it's all so good, you can tell high quality ingredients are used and care goes into each item. All of the staff are so kind and the shop is beautiful and the drinks delicious. I'm so glad this is in Denver!

June 2022 It’s in downtown, but need to go inside an alley to find this place. They have only been here for 11 months. The owners are the ones that makes the orders. They are friendly. Could use a music inside so that customers don’t have to stare at each other while waiting for the their orders. Milk teas are all made fresh (NO powder flavored milk teas). Not sweet at all if that’s what you like. The waffle ube is similar to mochi, a bit chewy with flavor need to eat while serve fresh with ice cream. Not bad but should have options on how sweet or how many percentage of sugar you want on your milk tea. Must try other flavors.

I ordered an off the menu special which was Creamsicle- orange, jasmine tea and sweet cream and it was delicious. Not too sweet and very natural tasting. I also ordered the ube mochi waffle which was fantastic. One of the best spots I’ve tried in Denver so far. The guys behind the counter were super nice and patient and gave helpful advice with the menu. They also put water out for dogs which is 👍🐾

Without a doubt, this is the most elegant milk tea place I’ve ever been to. They sell everything from lavender matcha lattes to blueberry lemon wafchi (waffle matcha) to creamy watermelon smoothies. You can watch the staff hand whisk the green tea right in front of you. I can’t recommend Milk Tea People enough!

My first time trying this Milk tea joint. It is located in the middle of Base Camp Market street behind the Water Grill. I ordered a strawberry Matcha as a starter. This is the most expensive milk tea I have ever had, and I just had green tea matcha in Chicago two weeks ago. The staff is very nice and bring the drinks to you if you are waiting outside the seating area. The drink's taste is ok and not too sweet, but I didn't taste any tea. For the price I'm paying, the fusion needs to have the tea taste.

Hands down the best matcha experience of my life! We got the Blueberry Lavender Matcha and Strawberry Matcha. They are so delicious, even my husband who has never enjoyed matcha loved his. If you are in downtown denver, it is a MUST to check this place out. The experience, the drinks, desserts, employees, and flavors were all spectacular. I personally love their strawberry matcha drink and ube waffle. It is the perfect amount of sweetness and everything is organic and super fresh. I would rate this place 1,000,000 out of 5 if I could! The pomegranate grapefruit fresca is the perfect drink on a hot day. The matcha wafchi comes with fresh blueberries and lavender ice cream 😋 They use high quality ingredients and it shows. The interior and service are also amazing!

I was in Denver for work and was walking to my hotel from the office and came across this spot on my way back to my room. I love matcha and mochi so it made perfect sense for me to try both! This spot is ducked off, off the street but the location is very minimalist and clean. The customer service is great! They could tell this was my first time there. I tried the strawberry matcha milk tea and the wafchi (waffle mochi mix) with ice cream on top and wow wow wow. Phenomenal! I’m looking forward to visiting this place again when I visit Denver!

We love this spot! A refreshing slice of Northern California in Denver. The location is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, the staff was super friendly, and we loved the desserts. Have been here twice now and is one of the best places to come get a freshly made drink. They have milk tea that they make fresh infront of you, their matcha drinks are out of this world type of good! And they have a dessert called Wafchi and it's fantastic. My sister got me hooked on this place and is now my go to place for either a refreshing Fresca, Milk Tea, or a quick dessert. It is a hidden gem in downtown Denver when you find it you won't regret it!

There are a lot of Asian-style milk tea places in Denver, but none like Milk Tea People. Everything here is made by hand — with only the highest-quality ingredients. Yes, even the matcha is hand-whisked in front of you! No artificial Thai tea powders here. Only loose leaf teas, ethically sourced directly from farmers (to give them 100% of the price), and almost entirely certified organic. You can still get that sweet Thai tea though! It’s just brewed with real leaves. Add some oat milk to it, and it’s my go-to here. The more creative flavors feature additions of ube (Filipino purple yam), matcha, strawberry (but more herbal tasting than sweet, blueberry lavender, black sesame, and more. And don’t forget the “wafchi” (waffle mochi). Crunchy on the outside, chewy in the inside, infused with matcha or ube for some fun flavor (and color). And GLUTEN-FREE! Rice flour only. I also got the pleasure of meeting one of the owners while here: he was working hard behind the counter and so excited to tell us about this place. You can’t help but want to support small businesses like this when you meet the dedicated people behind it.

Kevin is so nice and very fun! It was cool to ask how he came up with the design of the place and all the menu items. Tim was really good at explaining the drinks. The matcha wafchi with lavender gelato was soooo good. The drink isn’t super sweet. The place is so cool looking. I love everything about it!

Pros: Super friendly customer service and very patient with answering questions. Upon receiving your order, they give you a little more details about the drink too. The making of the tea, especially the matcha is very traditional and legitimate. I appreciate the authenticity and effort. Very unique menu items. Cons: Tucked away in an alley. Because everything is handcrafted, the wait for beverages and orders can take a while. Getting in line to order can always take a while when busy because customers ask questions about the menu items. Overall a very positive and unique experience I had in Denver. It's like Denver's little secret. I came here twice within my 1 week visit. First time, I ordered the ube coconut sprinkle with vanilla gelato wafchi and a matcha lavender latte (with oat milk substitute). Second time, I ordered a matcha blueberry wafchi with lavender gelato and a strawberry matcha latte (with oat milk substitute). Their drinks look very pretty and it is well crafted. The amount of efforts the owners put into making these drinks really shows and worth the wait. For my first order, I loved the wafchi concept (mochi + waffles). My favorite is the ube and I love how chewy it was and how the vanilla gelato flavor with coconut sprinkles complimented it. The matcha lavender was unexpected. I did not expect the taste of lavendar to hit so strongly. While it was good for the first half of the drink, the taste of lavender overtime overpowers the matcha toward the end. My second order, I would still recommend the wafchi because I enjoy the texture. However I am biased. I liked the match wafchi with the lavender ice cream but I did not like the blueberry toppings. I'm not a fan of blueberries but if they substituted the fruit with another fruit, the matcha would definitely be my favorite over the ube. My drink for the second visit was subpar. I enjoyed my first drink better. The strawberry in the strawberry matcha latte was too overwhelming. My friend got the lemonade teaki and that was very solid. It tasted like a frappuccino. I would come back to try the other drinks, especially the creme or teaki drinks. Pics from my first visit. I forgot to take pics for the second visit.

Add Milk Tea People to your Denver itinerary, weekly, if not, daily routine, now. Yes, it's that good. I checked out this place based on a good friend's recommendation and to be honest, wasn't really expecting much other than your typical, modernly designed and Instagrammable drinks. I was wrong. The team, Kevin and Tim, were amazing from start to finish. They took time to suggest recommendations, spent a little time getting to know me and just overall made this such a pleasant, organic and genuine interaction. Needless to say, the bar was set pretty high after that as I patiently stepped back to wait for my order. You could tell this place is beloved by the community. There was a repeat customer in there, and just by eavesdropping, sorry, you could tell their was an already establish trust and relationship between the patron and store. Now comes the food. Order the Ube Coconut Waffle. This was by far one of the best desserts, if not the best one, ever, I've ever had. Absolutely delicious and divine. You'd be sent to heaven in the first bite. And no, I'm not exaggerating. I also got the Blueberry Lavender Match Drink, which was crafted perfectly by Kevin. You can taste each ingredient from start to finish. I enjoyed this drink thoroughly as well. Pro tip: If you're looking for that Instagram shot, order this drink. Overall, I'm so happy I discovered Milk Tea People. I'll be back for sure, and will be raving about this shop for many, many years. I'm rooting for y'all. Thanks Lucy for the recommendation!

They make milk tea like making cocktails. The cream cheese flavor on top of the tea tastes strong and creamy, mixing so well with the tea. It is a little pricy for a milk tea but totally worths the money.

By far the BEST place I have gone to for a quick treat! The place is gorgeous with a minimalistic, natural, and relaxing vibe. My friend and I both had the Ube Jasmine Sweet Cream beverage and a Coconut Ube Wafchi. The beverage was fresh with the perfect balance of sweet. The wafchi was one of the best things I have ever eaten. It had such an amazing texture and was paired well with the gelato. They only use the best and the cleanest ingredients straight from Japan, which I love. This place is truly so unique and different than any other milk tea place in Denver. 10/10 recommend!

Solid drinks! There are not a lot of indoor seatings, but right outside the store, there are plenty. I got the lavender iced matcha and the golden chai (their only non-caffeinated drink). The lavender iced matcha was delicious and good for a comfortable walk around town. The golden chai tasted too much like bananas for me, so I’ll have to skip that the next time I go.

Really polite and friendly staff! What to notice off the bat is the aesthetic interior and window pane entrance: very modern and minimalistic. You can tell the tea here is made from credible and top notch ingredients. The richness of the matcha and hojicha are evident. Been here a few times and all the drinks I've gotten are the best I've had. Not too sweet, which I love! I recommend their Hojicha Vanilla Sweet Cream.

Limited seating. No bathroom only take card.It was truly uncomfortable in their once I came in I kept saying thank you & didn’t feel very comfortable. Also I paid 15 dollars for a small drink & waffle with ice cream not worth it.because if you see the waffle maker it seems as though you should be getting more. Also they don’t have boba at all I checked their menu,I will say the drinks with cheese foam are worth it but if anything not worth coming back for me personally since I’m not in downtown much.

Such a surprise find! Besides the uber sleek store decor, it has one of the best matcha drink I’ve ever had. I can’t say I wasn’t skeptical about this “blueberry lavender matcha” - a flavor combination that can easily fail miserably. But I was so impressed by the execution here - you can taste blueberry, lavender and matcha yet they are so balanced and harmonious. It also has the right level of sweetness and richness. Perfection.

It's an okay place, I've been here twice and I feel like it's more for the Instagram vibe than the drinks. This time I tried the strawberry cheese cream it was too heavy even after mixing it and I would rate it lower than their other drinks. It's kind of expensive for what you get since it's downtown. No matter when you go here the wait will be long because they handcraft each drink. Not neccessarily a bad thing, for instance this time I went there was a large group ahead of me and it took about 40 minutes to get my drink.

Pretty tasty place. What puts it at a 5 star for me is the service. I had the blueberry lime Fresca, it was very refreshing with great flavor. I don’t know if the guy was the owner or the manager but he was very knowledgeable about all the drinks and had great recommendations if you tell him your tastes. And what was super generous of him is that he gave my friend’s niece (whose 5) a small cup of ice cream on the house.

I really love this place and it is becoming my weakness. And I'm pretty sure it's my favorite place to get drinks. Milk Tea People have the best matcha lattes I've ever had. They also have a mochi matcha waffle which isn't listed on their menu. But it is to die for. I have yet to try their other flavored waffle, I think it might be taro, but I'm pretty sure I will eventually. I'm slowly but surely making my way trying out the different drinks. I haven't been disappointed yet. The ones pictured are a strawberry matcha latte and strawberry with cheese cream. Both delicious!

Pictured are the black sesame tea latte, blueberry lavender matcha tea latte & strawberry matcha gelato. Both drinks were delicious but I really enjoy any of their beverages with either lavender or matcha. Their lavender game is strong. Also tried some of their frescas which are super refreshing. It’s a place with great people, great vibes & a great atmosphere. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, it has a phenomenal quality of beverages using real, REAL ingredients (real matcha & real fruit purees). I really think they keeps it real. The drinks are perfect concoctions of delicious-ness where all ingredients somehow taste so perfectly together.

I've been to this place several times and their drinks never disappoint. They do feel gourmet and taste unique from milk/boba tea places you may have been in a good way. The best way I can put it is, this is a full package experience. Especially with the nice seating area and how it's hidden from the main streets of downtown Denver. Enjoying the full package is a good deal for the price, but if you're just ordering the drinks to be delivered or something, I think you might get more drinks for the money at a different place. If you want to enjoy their drinks, you should be in person, and also enjoy the whole experience at the shop. If you're just ordering, you could probably go cheaper elsewhere. The place is easy to get to but kinda hidden, which makes it a good change of pace while visiting downtown. Drinks are very delicious.

Visited from KC and this is the best milk tea I've ever had. My friends and I stopped by after lunch, walked around for two hours, and came back for second drinks. We also had the coconut ube waffle and it was great. The only drawback is that their station only allows for 4 drinks to be made at a time so the line backed up a bit.

I had ordered the blueberry cheese foam drink and I had loved it, at first. Then after drinking it for a little bit I was bummed out as, half the cup was straight up cream cheese and the drink began tasting like a yoplait. My friends ordered two different drinks, one was the blueberry lime fresca which tasted much like a normal lemonade and was not worth $7. The only drink that actually tasted good was one that my other friend had ordered, the blueberry lavender matcha. That drink was actually refreshing.

This place is an absolute treat. Every drink I’ve had is delicious, and you can actually taste the subtle flavors they are putting out there. For example, the jasmine strawberry Fresca= perfectly balanced strawberry and jasmine flavor. Would be easy to mess up the jasmine or oversteep the tea. Or, blueberry lavender matcha, you get an amazing lavender flavor that comes through without being soapy or weird. Their ingredients are only the highest quality. Grass fed milk? Are you kidding me? As a grass fed milk lover, this is unbelievable. Tried their ube waffle the other day and it was to die for. The vibe in this alley is so pleasant and quiet too, a great place to sit and read a book. Can’t believe it’s in the middle of downtown. Staff are so friendly and really take care of you. Can’t wait to see what else they come up with!

Tucked away off Market Street, I almost missed this gem. If you want good matcha drinks, this is the place to go. Initially I was a bit skeptical of the flavor combinations, but I got the Blueberry Lavender Matcha Latte on the staff's recommendation and was not dissapointed! Initial hit of lavender, then matcha, then blueberry aftertaste. Great balance, not sweet at all. They claim to use no artificial flavors, and I'm definitely inclined to believe them. They make the drinks at the counter and was open to questions, always great to see that.

I’ve been here several times now, trying something new each time, & I’ve yet to taste something that didn’t wow my taste buds. Their drinks are beautifully crafted, never rushed, and their mochi waffles are absolutely decadent. You can tell they care about their product, & I’m so thankful they’re sharing it with us!

Really great matcha place! Closed for January but opening back start of February. So simple and authentic. I don't even typically like matcha and still enjoyed it! Got the Ube Jasmin sweet cream. The waffle that's mixed with Motchi that's ube/tarro served with coconut ice cream was phenomenal. Can't wait to bring all my loved ones here!

This is hands down my favorite place in Denver. If I could come here every day for one of these delicious milk teas, I absolutely would. I first saw them from a post on TikTok and wow, not only do they live up to the hype they were given, they FAR exceed it. Their flavors are so delicious and unique, you truly can’t find anything like it. I was so sad to see they were closed for January but you better believe I’m coming in tomorrow to get a delicious tea! If you haven’t been, you MUST go. They are so friendly, the tea is incredible, and it will make your whole day.
