The Sierra Retail store is more hype than substance but still worth the trip for a look, found a lot of things on clearance with decent pricing but the bulk of the sales floor is clothing, entire second floor is clothing, shoes and some kids toys (board games, vehicle toys similar to the old Tonka Toys, and other miscellaneous kids stuff), downstairs on the main floor is food items, camping, sporting goods and other miscellaneous items. More of a been there, done that, I came, I saw and I left shopping experience.

Its small, however a hidden gem and the best value on outdoor gear of your not concerned with the Jones's. Example a ladies nike size 6 trainer we found for 70 bucks vs the lowest price online was 128.00. The staff is very accomidating and helpful, note this is not a typical Sierra store like you would find in Fort Collins, this feels more like end of year or last season items. Highly recommend a stop if your looking for a great buy or bargain!

Sporting goods store. Found Merrill hiking boots for half off for both myself and my husband. Didn't really look for anything else. Employees were friendly at the check out but we didn't see any around the store.

Sierra Trading Post has a wide variety of things from which to choose. Their clearance prices are amazing. At my last visit I found some beautiful boots, a pair of jeans, dog toys, and soft fun blankets to give as gifts at Christmas. The employees are friendly. I highly recommend this store for outdoor needs, kitchen supplies, dog toys and dog beds, clothing, coats, boots and other shoes and some household goods.

Reasonable selection, use to be way better though!! Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Can no longer find stuff on the computer in the store and go get it from the d.c. which use to be very convenient. Selection is slim as well compared to a few years ago, store in Fort Collins is way better which I hate to say but it's true. Still worth an occasional seasonal visit.

I've shopped at Sierra trading Post for many years online. Went to my first store in fort Collins Colorado a few weeks ago. I found that store to be mostly clothing and tight packed. But the store and Cheyenne Wyoming exceeded all expectations. When you have to know what you're doing when you go there. A lot of what they're selling is irregulars and leftover items. I've gotten some really good deals over the years and yesterday was no exception. Purchased a new therarest air mattress for a good price. Got a great pair of filson pants, and a shirt for $7. Can't complain about that. I go back and buy more but I don't have the room to keep it. My new rule is buy something get rid of something. Stuff that were really cool as well and they obviously took very good care of the store. Nothing was out of place no mess anywhere.

My family shopped here for the first time and we left with a toy for our daughter, 2 long sleeve shirts, and a portable pet bowl. The employees were very friendly and we received the military discount. The first floor has some nice pet items, gifts, and outdoor gear. The second floor has the clothes, shoes, and toys. I definitely recommend going here if you're looking for some jackets for the cold weather.

I loved this store. They had so much merchandise to choose from, top quality and high end name brands. I came to Cheyenne from NJ still in my flip-flops and I am now totally prepared for a Wyoming winter. Love love love this place. Has amazing clothes, doesn’t matter what time of the year; and yes I dare say, name brand, might I add, and at great prices. The "trend" on fashion may be a year or two behind what is currently out in stores but it absolutely doesnt faze my overly-materialistic, and somewhat absolutely shallow thoughts on my so-much-more-stunning because-its-name-brand appearance.

This store started asa catalog order shop. I visited with my daughter for the first time in 20 years. The clothing is mostly cheap, but it feels as cheap as it costs. If that is what you want, this place has a huge selection. Give it a shot while you are in the area.

Nice selection of clearance clothing. It's changed since TJ MAXX took over. Product selection has changed. Stop there and spend an hour shopping. You'll find something you need. I did, my two sons did, my daughter did, my D-I-L did, etc.

Good prices with a large selection of clothing. If you are not looking for a particular brand or style this is a great place to find a deal. The outdoor gear selection does seem to be shrinking though as their primary focus seems to be shifting towards clothing retail.

Amazing deals! Got a Carhart winter coat from their "thirds" rack upstairs for only $36!!! Nothing wrong with it except that it got returned a couple of times. Have also gotten socks on sale here. Their prices really are very reasonable, much better than the inflated prices in the Fort Collins store (probably because this is their distribution center). I'll be back next time I'm in Cheyenne.

Honestly, I'm more and more disappointed each time I go there. Sierra use to be an amazing place to shop for discount outdoor gear and clothing. It has quite literally become an off brand clothing and home goods store. You can still get gear online, but you could also get gear online from anywhere, and probably cheaper since the deal flyers are gone. I find myself shopping here less and less and im pretty sure that trend will continue as I dont see STP stepping back from their rebranded "Sierra."

the deals here are absolutely amazing. I visited for the first time and it blew my mind. I make a stop here every time In Cheyenne. you can't beat the prices. I bought a hiking bag with some flash lights, a vest, a jacket, some snow gear and some camping utensils all for under 150$. you cannot beat the prices.

You can find good deals on some stuff, but lately the selection of clearance/seconds/thirds has really dwindled and there aren't any real gems. They can't be beat for selection of new/regular priced retail winter and outdoor gear, though, and we've purchased all of our winter gear here over the last 10 years. It's convenient to be able to "order" from the website and walk across the street to pick it up instead of waiting for shipping.

This visit to Sierra trading Post was the best visit I've had there. You always have great deals but this time the staff was the friendliest they've ever been. Usually I don't feel friendliness when I walked in that store but today was exceptional. And I go to your Colorado stores I've been to your Omaha store and this was very nice thank you.

Brand new warehouse location so lots of shiny new docks. No overnight parking on property, but street parking on access road for now is a option until they build up the area more. The closest truck stop is a marathon on US23 across from the casino

Worth a visit if you're in Cheyenne, or for a break while passing through on I-80. While Sierra is not as good as it was pre-TJX takeover, it still has some good deals. You'll have to go around the store to find them, so give yourself some time if stopping here. The staff is friendly and helpful.

ONLY place in Cheyenne that had youth track / running shoes! Saved my bacon! I got size 1.5 and 3 true running shoes that were quality name brand for $22 & $30. NOBODY else in town had anything in those sizes!

The selection is smaller than I had expected given the size of the online retailer. However, all your basic camping and fishing equipment is present. There are tons of discounted and clearance items as well, it's definitely worth it to stop in and take a look around.

This chain of stores is amazing if you don't care that you are purchasing older or outgoing seasonal gear. As an example, hiking shoes that began the beginning of the season at $200 Sierra is selling them brand new for $90...what!? Yes, it is true! For my hiking and running clothes needs I will never shop at another store again because a literally save hundreds of dollars on running shorts, shirts and pants.

I love Sierra Trading Post! I live in Fort Collins, CO and I usually order online and shipping is so fast, it only takes a day, but when I have the time I like going to the store to try things on. The store is nice and they have the warehouse next door and you can get essential 90% of the stuff online at the warehouse; you can try it on there and then decide to purchase. The store also has the bargain area with a variety of returned items - you can get some deals! ALSO in the store you can use your e-coupons. I am so happy with this store and happy that it hasn't changed since they got bought out!

Great prices on clothing and outdoor equipment. Also, happens to be a great stopping point o stretch the legs when making the long drive between Utah and Ohio. It even has a dog friendly path with a waterfall and moose statues for my dog to bark at. ;)

I've been in this store half a dozen times, of which I receive emails from, updating me on new arrivals, and so for the most part, that is why I stop. One can see the store and distribution center from the Interstate, but it's not easy to get to, as you have to get off the interstate 4 or 5 miles ona sort of side road, to get to it, driving west on the interstate. Driving ea.st, it's about the same, but getting off at a major interchange. First time traveler's really need a gps to understand how to get there. The parking area doesn't seem very big, but maybe it holds more cars than I'm aware of. Once inside the entrance, you will see the checkout area, as it faces the front doors. It seems to be a rather small oulet, but there is an upstairs, and even that seems to be an elongated version of a billard room. So basically there isn't a lot of items, but there is. I suppose there are equal amounts of men and women items, and some children as well. Customer service was not all that great, in that I had to hunt down the one lady that was apparently the only one working the upstairs area. If you you have a clue how to find an item via their computer interface with warehouse, then you'll find yourself just standing around trying to get some help. Clothing selection is pretty good, in as far as to what I was looking at. Name brand items and pricing seem to be in order for some good deals, but only for certain sizes, as well you all know to well. Shoes, boots snow shoes, and I do think I saw some nice house slippers. A little off to the left as you enter the store is full of splurge items, and some food stuffs, along with blankets and quilted stuff. There is a little some kind of a snack bar with hot coffee and other drinks like that. So, after all is said and done, I will be coming back to hunt down some other items after the gift giving rush.

Lots of great deals. If you are a shopper and spend time in cold weather or just outside, this is just the place for you. Like an outlet store. Prices are very low. Lots of name brands. But, they don't have every brand like an REI store. Worth a visit.

Nice store, we were traveling/RVing and they allowed us to stop for the night in the warehouse parking lot. Staff was great, the manager even came out and talked to us for a bit about being fulltime travelers. This is a smaller store but I expected it as it is at the same location as a warehouse.

Things have definitely changed since the TJ Maxx takeover. It went from an awesome place with great variety to just an ok store with ok variety. It's a little disappointing, but the variety of good brands from overseas and US still help it get 4 stars. Now if they could start bringing SmartWool base layers and not just their socks, I would love that.

This is a TJMaxx, Homegoods, Marshall's family store with outdoor goods. We visited 2 times as we traveled and found a specific item we needed on the second trip. Lots of clothes, but limited selection. Tents, toys, books, cookware, sports, etc. Shoes, kitschy household items and an embarrassing large pet section. I love my dog, but spending money for clothes and toys for him is just foolishness.

The main store in Cheyenne used to be the best place for outdoor gear. Since TJ Maxx Corp purchased it, they have reduced the price cuts for sales, and have all but done away with the returns section. They've also set up the store with far less inventory out to search through so a lot more has to be found online first. It's still great cost savings over other outdoor gear stores. Would have been 5 star before buy out, 3.5 is more accurate now just because of less deals and more hassle for finding items.

We have always loved to stop enroute west at the Sierra Trading Post and look at the 3rds and 2nds that they carried. They are upgrading their store and no longer carry those. They do have house decor and the usual camping and outdoor clothing with footwear. Unless you're looking for something in particular, it's much harder to find good bargains.
