Let me tell you what an amazing company Pet Food Warehouse is. Not only are they constantly giving back to the community and their customers, they also support local rescues. Furthermore, their selection of food that is actually HEALTHY for your pet is unmatched. They truly care about the well-being of your animals. I'm just really happy we have such a wonderful local company. This month they, along with the Pronature company, have sponsored one of the dogs at the Chittenden Humane Society, and not only paid his adoption fee, but will include a $50 gift card and 6 months of food for his adopter. They host super fun events like Wag It Forward which among other things included a 5k to help fight K9 cancer, and have a stellar rewards program for their customers. They sell high quality brands like Pronature, Carna4 and Zignature and more plus a wide variety of raw diets. Not to mention, they have a discount for UVMMC employees which is amazing! This is the only place I'll be shopping for our animals and I am the happiest of customers. Thank you PFW for being the best of the best!

Great selection of good pet foods that are very well-priced. I just moved to Vermont, and was getting similar quality from my local organic pet food store for almost DOUBLE what I got here. Here I got a 24-pack of my cat's favorite wet food for just over $22. I also was able to pick up a good-sized scratching post for my best boy. He's tall like a panther so he annihilates a normal sized scratchy, but this place had exactly what I needed and in Bulk! Great staff, too. Extremely helpful. And I loved seeing pictures of all their animal companions up on the wall while I waited in line. If you're an animal lover who wants to pamper your pet and save money I highly recommend this place!

Great customer service experience. Coming from out of town to visit family, we had to special order our dogs food. They ordered it, and held it until we arrived. Bought some other items while there, had some questions and was shown the products even though the associate had to stop what they were doing and walk me across the store. Pet Food Warehouse is always great! It's one of the only places in the area to get good quality food for your animals! Their food is also very reasonably priced. Most of the employees I have interacted with are also super kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! Our cat is very sensitive, and not only has seizures, but also has a food allergy to turkey, chicken, and most fish, which causes him to have tiny itchy scabs all over. So unfortunately this has made it really impossible to buy him food at grocery stores, as he requires more unusual proteins. Their employees were awesome at listening to me talk about his specific issues, helping me figure out what the source of the issue was, and then also finding foods that would work best. After one of his routine visits where they examined his spots, our original vet didn't even figure out that he had a food allergy!! So again, I can't express enough how truely helpful and knowledgeable they are. And if someone doesn't know the answer, they will find someone who does! They have also been excellent about covid-19, remaining open, but providing curbside pickup, and all employees and customers are in masks and sanitizing regularly. I feel very safe when shopping there. Overall Pet Food Warehous is fantastic and have a great team, I have no complaints, and I highly recommend them!!

They will help you find what you are looking for, get you wonderful discounts, and help you carry and load your car if you need it. They have everything you need there, and even recommend outside services if they don't have something you want. If your pet is new they give you a starter coupon book to help you get started on the pet essentials. Couldn't ask for a better pet food store!

Great local pet store. Offer all sorts of food, litter, natural treats, bedding, toys. They have an extremely affordable dog wash station - all soap, towels, brushes, etc included - and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I go once a month for a dog bath and natural treats. Very affordable, highly recommended. They have (at least) 2 locations in the greater Burlington area.

Great customer service and selection of pet foods and products. I always try to shop local and Pet Food Warehouse is a stellar example of a locally owned shop that does everything right. I really, really hope they keep the shop online and pick up at shop feature that they rolled out during the pandemic. As someone who is fairly phobic of dogs, going into the shops and not knowing if there will be dogs inside is very challenging for me. Buying online and having the products brought to my car makes the whole process so much more pleasant.

Need gear, toys and accessories for your pet? They have it. Need food that fits your budget and is healthier than other pet stores/the grocery store? They have that too. I had dogs with allergies and needed a restricted diet, this was the only place locally that had simple raw options available while we determined what my dogs were allergic to. Turns out one wasn't even allergic to their food, but grasses they would eat on walks, the other was sensitive to certain animal proteins. I've been shopping here almost exclusively ever since and happy to do so.

This is an excellent location to seek food and other necessary items for your pets. The service is excellent; I have never not been asked if I needed assistance. The selection is broad, but all the items are well placed and labeled appropriately. The prices are also clearly labeled making it easy to find items in your budget. The food and litter are high quality, no friskies here! Even so I found it easy to tick to a $50 a month budget.

Super Helpful & Knowledgeable! It doesn't matter whom you ask. Everyone is well-trained and can answer your questions. They know their products exceptionally well. Any one of them will carry your purchases to your car. Leashed pets are welcome inside. Don't have a leash, but your pet should go in? Just ask them! They want your pet as safe as you do and not left in a car. Great food. Awesome service. And a rewards program to boot!!

Best Staff Ever! I must have been asked by every staff member in this store whether I needed any help or advise. When I replied that I was ok, but would give a holler if I needed anything, every one of them was totally respectful. They keep track of what our pets eat, so we never accidentally buy the wrong food, and their assortment is quite varied. Customers never have to carry anything heavy, even out to their vehicle! It's all done for you with a smile! Mostly they have dog and cat stuff, but there's a small selection of high quality bird and small critter supplies as well. We've been buying our finest quality pet food here for over 20 years, and never worry about the quality or freshness of what we purchase. Pet Food Warehouse is highly recommended by us!

Last time I went in to buy cat food, I headed up to the register and was the ONLY person in line, with two registers open and helping customers. PFW has some very friendly and helpful staff! We have only encountered one woman that works there that is extremely rude and unfriendly, but all the other make up for her attitude. I am generally fairly happy with their dog selection. I wish their cat and definitely their small animal selection was more well rounded. There is high quality dog and cat food sold here also. Some of the treats seem a bit expensive, but we also treat our puppies and kitty like our children and spend a lot on them. Definitely recommend!

Plenty of trained staff in a warehouse-style environment with everything you can imagine for your pet. Our cat is chicken free and they were able to accommodate without a problem. It's our go-to spot now. Plus the rewards program is great and they'll accept returns of opened food if your animal hates it. What?? Yea.

Not only is staff knowledgable of the available products, but they clearly have personal experience with trying these items at home. One staff member pointed out the treats I had had a better deal available elsewhere in the store, same ingredients. Fair prices, great loyalty programs, and incredibly helpful staff that are always willing to give a recommendation or help you find exactly the right product for looking for. They helped me to find a chew that is safe and I'm assuming delicious for cats after I express frustration that my cat kept stealing the dogs chews 😅. Good representation of local Vermont companies, especially in the dog treat aisle. The dog wash is great, it can be a little busy on Saturdays so I would recommend a reservation or to sneak in on Sunday. They are currently offering contactless pick up due to COVID, you can give them a call or email them and they will have it ready for you.

This is a great place to buy premium pet food. The prices are competitive and their selection is the best I’ve ever seen. My only suggestion? Please, please stop with the pestering. I ended up buying the wrong food because from the moment I walked in the salespeople were asking if I was finding everything or did I have any questions. Literally from the moment I stepped into the store I felt besieged. How can a person even think about what they want or need if you’re fending off helpful staff every 30 seconds. I promise, if I need something I will ask you. Otherwise, this is a great store.

PFW is my go-to place for pet supplies! One of the best parts about them is that there are always enough staff on hand. They're always there to help you on the floor (and they always ask if you need help), keep cash register lines short, and help you get larger items out to your car. Every time I've been in I've been asked if I need help. As crazy as it sounds even that is lacking at most places. The employees have helped me choose and fit two of my dogs for harnesses. In the past they've made other helpful suggestions on food or training treats. This is where I get all my dog food but if cost scares you away, they charge the same as a big box store does for their premium food however you will get an employee that actually knows all of the products they are selling. You have a point system you actually see where I don't know why I've given my name to PetSmart or Petco, haven't seen anything worthwhile from them. In a world where we are really treating pets as a member of our families, take the time to check this place out.

Their store is well organized and they have a very large selection of things for cats and dogs, even beyond food. They have much smaller sections for small animals like rabbits or birds or reptiles. But I have found their pricing to be much cheaper than the larger pet stores.

Great experience. The Williston Road location is larger and has more items than its sister location on Shelburne Road, both in South Burlington. Staff is ALWAYS very friendly and very helpful. They're efficient, caring and work as a team. Pricing is reasonable and they carry local brands also unlike the national chains. Food is always carried to your car for you!

I go to pet food warehouse because they carry lots of raw feed for my senior chihuahua, several are also local. they have knowledgeable staff that will speak to you endlessly until you make your selection. add to that a no hassle return policy for unused food if your pup does not like a specific flavor. It's not a discount place so you will pay top dollar for your pet products, but its a local Vermont owned establishment. They don't try and compete with the chains, but the selection is much more varied. I wouldn't shop any where else.

A wonderful locally-owned store with great customer service and unique inventory. However, I have one key suggestion: reorganize the waiting area in front of your cash registers. It's not clear "where the line forms" so people end up forming 2-3 lines within the aisles in front of the cash wrap area... then it becomes pretty unclear and unfair as to who is next in line!

Pet Food warehouse has ample staff for a hopping place, who is very willing to give assistance along with knowledgeable information. They seem to be very willing to excersize teamwork to overcome a challenge if one arises. Also they give you a cat can food cap if you don't have one with a purchase of a case of kitty chow; which they have a stellar array of healthy, affordable options of food for your critters. Kendra the manager was awesome in assisting me with a checkout and return issue. Aiding her stumped co worker, and helping me get out the door in a timely manner and back home to my kitties with a case of delicious Weruva! Thank you Kendra, and petfood warehouse team! Woohoo!

PFW also donates to many shelters and also charity boxes at the long counter with names of each needy animal shelter throughout the USA. Customers always drop a few coins or bills into those boxes.
