A popular brunch of the popular discount outdoors good store. The store feature everything that you can imagine from the popular chain, from boots and hiking shoes all the way through professional hiking equipment bags and clothes. Devoted and professional staff is helpful on the scene easy access and ample parking around.

Wonderful discount outdoorsy store where I can always find something I want or need. Often they have high quality brands that are greatly reduced, either because they're close outs or past season styles or irregular. Worth a trip!

Went into this store for the first time. Seems like it is great for athletic wear, outerwear and sporting goods and clothes. I believe they had shoes as well. Great assortment of candles of 12oz candles made with essential oils for a 1/4 of the price of other famous brands.

I stop in at this and the Framingham MA location, and almost always find great bargains on things I need. The prices are fantastic on both department store and high end brands. It's one of the best spots to find quality outerwear, active footwear, camping, biking and travel items. I have also found performance eyewear. Make sure to check the clearance racks.

The store is filled with tons of stuff to the point that you think they need a bigger space. Did I find what I came for? Yes, some of it : sports bra with non-removable pads, snow pants for a kid. What I didn't find is the gloves I like and beautifully designed hats for women with long ear flap. Gloves I got at the TJMaxx next door,and a hat - on Amazon. The holiday season has started so additional parkings are available. Don't worry and don't wait (creating a traffic) - there are two additional parking lots behind the buildings on the right (smaller one) and on the left (the bigger one). Just drive forward and turn either way.

Excellent quality. They also sell name brand clothing, sporting goods, and camping equipment, all at reduced prices. They may get a few months ago left over stock, from major retailers, but mark it down, and sell it for significant savings to public. Wish there were more of these stores locally, in my area, but it's worth the drive to the nice Newton, Mass. Store for great deals. If you are in the Newton area, and are an outdoor enthusiast, workout, or pick up game(or serious weekend jock or beauty), then check out this store, I think you will be pleasantly surprised! This is the outdoors lover's TJ Maxx. We found a great ski jacket and winter hiking boots for reasonable prices, but it's very luck of the draw in terms of what you will find in your size.

A mixed bag. Some of the merchandise is great quality, but some is not. So you have to take time to go through the merchandise carefully. The sock display was a disaster the day I was there ..Customers were frustrated trying to determine sizes and styles. The staff, is friendly and helpful and the merchandise is discounted, but it definitely is a store of the old style with a ton of merchandise to shift through not displayed with much thought , or so it seems. An ok experience, but not complexing to return.

I very much enjoyed the store. One can find good stuff here, but some patience is needed. They have really high quality gear (like trekking boots and ski jackets) but it is buried among cheap and low quality stuff. But if you spend some time digging - you will be rewarded!

This store is the Marshall's of outdoor and active wear but it's really hit or miss. If you want workout clothes or basic stuff, you'll probably find it here (but you'll also find it at Marshall's); if you are looking for anything technical or high quality, you might find it here but you might not. The store itself is well organized and clean and staff are nice.

Love this store for all the fashionable outdoor clothing you might need. Towards the end of the ski season I found a great couple of things including a really nice insulated ski jacket for under $50 on sale. Great seasonal products and well-maintained.

The selection isn't as good as their website, and it tends to have more high-priced items (and less of the incredible bargains you find online). But the items are high quality, the store is clean and well merchandised, and the lines move quickly. Bonus - shipping to the store is free and returns take seconds.

This place is awesome. I love the layout, it's clean and organized and I always find unique mens clothing. Amazing place for seasonal outerwear, and the prices are sooo cheap! I found a Dales of Norway Fair Isle sweater for $119, when they can easily retail for over $300.

A significantly better TJ Maxx. Prices on products are usually pretty good but I will say, as someone who is in the outdoor industry, you can tell that most of the products are things that were not up to quality in the factory. I've had a couple pair of shoes fall apart in a matter of months. It's a great place to come for something that works well but you may not need for long. Staff is awesome and always helpful!

Decent selection on stuff. We were looking for hiking poles but didnt have a combination of cork and clip extensions. Also, they are dog friendly and in addition to our dog there was another dog in the store. They also have a nice dog selection with toys, treats, jackets, and other accessories.

Looks like a great spot for buying clothes and equipment. I went for hiking boots, unaware that this store was part of the TJX chain since it was closer than REI, and was disappointed there wasn't an associate handy with experience to give me advice on shoes. Not a reflection of bad staff but not the type of store where they pest you for assistance and when I buy shoes I like that kind of service. But came out with a decent pair of Merrells.

Highly recommended by my son and daughter-in-law, I decided to check Sierra Trading Post out today for a very specific item ... a flat-folding, water repellent, wide-brimmed hat. A friendly employee knew what I was looking for. He took me directly to it. The hat was exactly what I had in mind. He asked me if he could show me anything else. I told him thank you but no thank you. However on my way to the register, I decided to look around and discovered some scented eucalyptus peppermint soap and some wooden muscle massagers. Not only is the Sierra Trading Post very well-stocked with excellent merchandise and serviced by knowledgeable employees, their prices are about 50% less than the exact item elsewhere. Check out this Sierra Trading Post. You will be pleased.

Physical extension of its online store. Limited selection of clothing items compared to online store. Must check weekly for selection changes as it differs daily, similar to TJ Max next door as it's owned by the same parent company. Prices can be reasonable depending on the item. Can return online orders at the store. Men's room is clean but Terribly designed with wasted space as it could've had 1 more urinal and stall each. Large store in a new mall area which is terribly designed especially the location and parking lot which is shared and much too small. Location is on Needham Ave in Newton which already had terrible traffic made Worse with newer retail shops!

New and clean. Part of the TJX family of stores. Sierra Trading Post has an outdoor theme, mostly shoes and clothing, with a small camping/hiking section and small pet section. Being a TJX store, most items are discounted. Quite a few factory seconds can also be found here. Keep an eye on the check out process as almost half the items I purchased did not ring out at the correct pricing. Overall I found shopping here a positive experience and I Will be back.

Good finds and brands available if you’re willing to spend time looking for them. Sierra’s like a cross between TJMAXX and REI with cheaper prices than what you’ll typically be able to find elsewhere. It’s worth stopping by Sierra first before heading to higher end outdoor stores because you might just find what you’re searching for, for half the cost.

This store has plenty of quality outdoor equipment for a fraction of the cost of the "name brand" stores like REI, EMS, and L.L.Bean. This store is definitely someplace I suggest visiting before going on a trip!

Unsurprisingly the experience at Sierra is just like TJ Maxx or Marshall's. Sometimes you find something nice and cheap, but it always requires rifling through a lot of racks of almost random offerings. You need time and be open and flexible with brands and requirements. Other than that, this is a new store so everything is in great condition. Staff is nice and as helpful as they can. If you're a targeted shopper go to REI instead. If you like adventure shopping you'll be entertained here.

They have some good outdoor merchandise and sports clothing , however the staff don't know much about what they are selling. For example, they sell some fishing gear, but no one to ask questions about specific products. Same goes for camping, hiking, etc...
