I came from other state. Most of what I needed was not in store. I have never had that issue in a Walmart before. The cool aid was almost impossible to find, as me and two other customers found out. We went in many circles and if a other person had not taken us to it, we would of never found it. Food and electronics and other areas all places things I needed did not exist. Not a great experience. The cashier's took slow to a new level with hoRds of people waiting. In every line same thing. They moved as if the store was empty

I find the Roebuck location has a good selection in the grocery area...organic produce and healthy packaged brands of food are normally available. There's a good kombucha and juice selection along with vegetarian and gluten free items. You can get pasture raised beef and eggs and organic milk and yogurt. I did see an apparently homeless man sitting by the entrance muttering to himself a few days ago which was concerning so do be on your guard though most of the time I feel safe going there.

Its Walmart so saying they have a wide array of items is redundant and per usual for Walmart super centers expect long lines cause usually only self checkout is open and one or two lanes. Only part I disliked was 15 minutes before they closed they refused to let me check out my items cause you must be in line to check out 20 minutes before close so I ended up putting my emergency menstration items on the drink cooler next to the self checkout I was barred from usung and leaving out of frustration and desperation to not ruin my clothes. Just hit a gas station to get what I needed for the night and went to a closer Walmart the next day. During the day though they are great and can't really fault them for their rule about being in line 20 minutes before close though a little leeway for getting in a very short line 15 minutes before close would have been appreciated since it cleared out completely and they were able to lock the doors 10 minutes early. Oh well I got what I needed in the end and that was my only ever problem there in dozens of trips to that particular store so as long as you aren't someone ( a jerk so don't be this person) trying to do a grocery trip 30 minutes before they close you shouldn't have a problem either.

Everyone always acts as if they are sleepy and don't want to deal with anyone. ALSO they are very slow. The majority of the people, they are nice... The new employees are rude. But I can tell they try everyday. I give them 3 stars for actual effort.

Busy, had a lot of good things on the clearance racks! Staff was friendly as always. When we first came in a young Christian Rap Artist was at the front door promoting his new CD. His name was Thomas Seaborn and the name of the CD was I stay Pray'd up. Lindsey and I listened to it on the way home and it was so awesome y'all and thank you to Walmart for letting young people promote there music like that. That's an awesome way to help out our youth !! Thomas if you read this you had a 38 year old young lady and a 61 years old lady listening to your CD on the way back to our hometown of Odenville Alabama and we absolutely loved it!! May God grant all your wishes and bless you as you move forward with your music!!

The staff in the parking lots should be aware customers hear them and their phone conversations, especially when threatening and yelling at someone on the phone while you get cars together. Either that or you were threatening and shouting at yourself.

1 Lane open, Self checkout open! Extremely busy as usual. Not enough lanes open as usual. Checkout wait time approximately 30 minutes. However staff were very helpful as they were trying to keep up with stocking the empty shelves, while so many customers were in the store shopping. Pallets of merchandise everywhere. So obviously they had just received a truck. Store too small to be so busy! I'm giving 3 stars only because of the customer service I received.

Roebuck walmart only has 4 curbside pickup parking spaces and they are on the side of the building in a not so easy location to find they need to improve this by putting more pickup spaces out front like all other walmart s in the area service was OK didn't have to wait long for my merchandise to be brought out but unfortunately like so many other people employed by retailers where the customer should be their focus the employee was not wanting to be very helpful in fact I had a Christmas appreciation tip in my hand to give him and as quick as we put my merchandise in the truck he turned and walked off and left me standing there with my hand out saying merry Christmas to my self so I just tipped myself merry Christmas to me wish employer's could get their employee s to realize the customer is a very important part of there store these are the 2 most important things that need improvement

Went for additional string for weed eater. Shelves are a little bare for yard maintenance stuff in general and they didn't have my string at all even though Walmart makes the product (Hyper tough) But there was a comparable piece of equipment at a reasonable price and so I guess I'll get to try something new.

The service is good, but they need to hire more workers! There never seem to be enough cashiers and you can run people ragged working them like that. At least a couple times I've put my groceries back and went somewhere else just to save time.

My prescriptions weren't ready to be picked up so we'll have to wait until 24 hours for them to come in. However did take opportunity and got some much needed. Dr. Teal's foaming bath wash eucalyptus for me and Dr Teal"s Epsom Salt crystals. In Eucalyptus and lavender. Best prices I found on both just about anywhere right here at Walmart... Such great products that are staples in my home . Used especially for muscle therapy and to distress! Leaves me feeling refreshed. Mentally and physically!

I hadn't been to the Walmart in Roebuck for over a year. But today I was quite surprised to see that it had been remodeled. It was clean, the aisles were wider, and seemed to be better organized. Still weren't enough open checkout lanes, but they had added a self checkout which worked very well. Good job, Walmart!!

It really depends on the day or time you go. Some days you get the friendly employees and sometimes you get the ones with body language that says "don't ask me anything". Nomatter what time I go, the shelves never seem fully stocked. It is pretty clean and organized. The app has mislead me countless times when I check to see if something I need is in stock at this store, then making a few trips there and not being able to find what I'm looking for. It's just frustrating. Also, why does it say it closes at 11pm when it doesn't? The other night at around 9:20pm I needed to get a few things so I looked up the store hours and it says it closes at 11pm.. I thought ok, I got like a good hour.. then I get there at around 9:50pm and I hear the lady on the speaker telling customers to make their way to the register, the store is closing in 10 min. That was a wasted trip.

We were broke down we're traveling from Indiana to New Orleans and we broke down in their parking lot and they let us stay there for 3 days while we fixed our truck thank God for those people we were towing a trailer with their animals and it was very stressful but they were so nice and awesome and I'm so greatful.

This poor store needs some help! There were so many empty spaces on the shelves, but the shelves that were not empty were very dissheveled. There was trash on the shelves, floors and in the shopping carts. The restrooms were in horrible condition. There was water (I hope it was water anyway) on the floors, toilet seats and countertops. There were no toilet seat protectors, toilet paper, paper towels or hand soap and the trash was flowing over onto the floor. I don't know if they had just had a huge rush of customers, if they were short staffed or if this is normalcy for this store but I do know this store needs some employees that care what their store looks like.

You have to stand in line due to occupancy issues. As one person leaves, one gets to enter. This is completely unnecessary. Assuming people aren't being stubborn and are indeed wearing their masks, occupancy limitations shouldn't be a thing. For some reason it appears it is. I don't know if the occupancy number is government mandated or not. If it is, my apologies to Walmart for the government getting you the three stars. If it's not mandated and I find out for sure, I'll be back to edit down to one star. Next, the online ordering and pick up is ok. I still have to enter the store to get to the "Tower" where I scanned my code so the door would open to get my stuff. I would have thought the items would be able to be retrieved without going into the store. In today's world, this would be an optimal solution. Nope, still gotta go inside. I don't think this was a very well thought out idea.

This walmart slowly gets worse I live about the same distance between this walmart and the trussville location I would prefer the trussville over this one. I have been going to this walmart ever since it opened it maybe like 20 years ago before that it was a Kmart there before it was tore down. After several bad experiences here I decided to write a review probably to deaf ears. This mostly applies to the electronic department here, I mostly have to get assistance there from an associate, due to inventory being in lockup etc. This department in my opinion has very few people who want to assist customers find products and less if it is not on the sells floors. One experience I had this week involving an assistance named Chris was frustrating. I asked this associate had a internal inventory check and I explained to him why because the walmart app doesn't show some items once they are clearance etc just the online seller. I just needed a internal inventory check and a location on the item in the store to confirm my external app inventory checker. What he does is pull out his phone to scan the barcode I had with his walmart app, I was thinking he had the internal inventory on his phone like some associate do. Afterwards, he didn’t seem enthused in helping me and was like we don't have it. So I had to walking around the store to find a associate with a checker after asking 5 associates(none offered to help me of the 5 on what I was looking for or direct me to a associate with a checker) I ran into Larry(He is always helpful one of the best best worker there), he had one and got me a inventory count on the item. I found a different associate in the electronic department didn’t get her name but she was a younger beautiful white chick wearing a yellow vest with her hair pinned up. She had a inventory checker and I gave her the item sku. She when to the back and found the item no problem. If the 4 items she could only locate one of them. She deserves 5 stars for her help here. This store has unhelpful associates and wrong inventory counts. I will continue to avoid this place like always. For reseller this the worst walmart in the area. 3/5 this place need to improve to be more helpful on finding items for customers not just I dont feel like looking so "we don't have it". Make a effort to location the item and give good customer service.

I have been very disappointed with the online order and pickup service that I have used very successfully (happily) for almost 3 years. I have had things removed from my shopping list as unavailable while seeing those items in carts leaving the store. Just last week. Paper towels were not filled. I saw some in a cart being loaded into a car. It just made me mad. I really should not have been in that store but I walked in and bought not 1. But 2 packages of paper towels. It just keeps happening over and over. I will just go to a small local store weekly from now on.

When it comes to cleanliness I would choose this walmart. The janitor maintenance is on point. They are also very helpful when it comes to picking up IN STORE . But when it comes to online grocery pick up they are dragging. I sat there for 25 minutes after checking in when arriving. Then an additional 15 min after I notified an employee.

I drive all the way from Margaret to visit this location. All walmarts are basically the same. The staff makes or breaks a store. I have always received exceptional service from this location. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

It's close by my daughter's house so easy to stop by and get what I need. They are usually busy so be patient with them. Especially with the Corona going on. It's a little difficult getting out of the parking lot at the street across from CVS so I always exit at the side entrance if I'm turning right.

This particular location brings heartburn literally and horrifying memory I wish I could avoid remembering. It is beside the old amsouth bank now another name where I was a member and decided it was smart to take a counterfeit $10 dollar bill I was told by the closed laundromat after the state of Alabama personnel said I was ranked 10th in the state registry. I traced my receipt back for the only$20 bill I had to the Krispy Kreme on 1st Ave North and captain D's in Eastwood village who luckily with my receipt showing the change back sent me a refund check of $10 dollars after several attempts to find the right person at their corporate office with ability to review detail tape from store. The bad part was my ex husband of two salaries in our house demanded go launder clothes rather than new machine immediately my choice and willingness to pay but submissive is not cracked up to me. My grandfather was in the hospital on a ventilator while the news says a woman is passing out bad money. Instead of going to hospital that day early I run home after work and put the vent on the dryer not working either somehow and the same time I'm hooking up the vent my mother calls and says they are unhooking my granddad from the ventilator and did not survive on his own wind. I said something before that admitted for prostate but at least when the infection moved to his heart unnoticed and in intensive ventilation the in staff nurses allowed me into his room at midnight after my 2nd shift schedule to just sit and sing and pray. Me and my aunt one day saw his foot nice in his ear singing amazing grace but still gurgling. Saw my uncle too but I was in the bathroom when his children said He moved! So long story even longer but short I took my divorce decree to my ex husband in 2007 after divorce in 2005 and engaged in 2002 the Feb 14 after my grandfather died feb13 so bitter sweet ring I picked out and announcement at the wake. I had put my car in the shop and rode the bus to this Walmart because it stops at the entrance and walked up the street to where I lived when married first and saw him at the corner in the car. I got in after showing him the papers ten minutes later I'm face down in a driveway of rocks and children party in handcuffs. He said let's go eat at the buffet but turned two blocks early into the police station beside the boys&girls club saying taking me to police. I was in a good mood until that moment suddenly my life changed Forever. I walked away from the car and the police car jumped the curb and cut me off like I was a bandit on the loose for no reason. I picked up my keys from the seat and did not know a separate key of his was included which a simple request like that divorce would have done a less destructive action who neither he nor the police has ever thought at fault enough to help my life in any way. Opposite to good for me. It was a misdemeanor I guess because I spent the next 90 days in 3 different places that was 23 days in jail handcuffed to 30 days in a rehabilitation hospital not on drugs and a handcuffed trip to tuscaloosa state mental hospital for additional 31 days up through new years and my birthday then released mid January from October. I watched President Obama get into office as first black man beside the nurses station while the group were eating in the cafeteria isolated from the population same way in jail with no toothbrush or shower and 1 rag. I'm glad I like myself enough to wipe my teeth off after my body without soap but at least warm water. It would take opening the door to get soap inside. My food pushed through the flap at the bottom of the door. Those inmates may wonder if I am alive today kept banging on my door saying she's awake. I know I heard one of them died last year who once was in my care as an employee. I treated all with dignity nothing harmful. I survived I guess the physical part sometime can tell the limp on video like my hip is still damaged but not really. That's the psychological thought of falling maybe but I can walk now 70 pounds heavier from once lighter meals walk

You absolutely must have a mask to enter this store. I visited the money center this trip. There were two associates working the counter at the time. They were fast and efficient. The associate that helped me was also very friendly :)

On top of that when I called to see if they had the item that I wanted the clerk was very respectful and had manners so to simply put it if i could rate this store from 1-10 I would definitely give it a 10/10

This location gets a bad wrap because it is located in a predominantly black, perhaps low income side of town. I can say that I have had but ONE negative experience here, when a cashier overcharged me (double my total). The manager was polite, apologized for my experience and refunded my money quickly with minimal questions. I have been going there since they have opened the doors and, although I do not live on that side of town anymore, I still do not mind patronizing their location.

Today was a better experience than I have ever had at this Walmart, in years, I guess with all the stuff going on they had to actually get Birmingham police to clear it out in order for us to have a peaceful shopping experience. It's still surprised me they still need to get more registers open which would help illuminate the long wait periods

My complaint isn't with Walmart. It's with the Murphys gas station. My wife and I were involved in a fender bender yesterday. It's within range of Murphys security cameras. The woman couldn't be bothered with rewinding the tape for the police to review. Needless to say I won't be buying gas from them anymore.

Went in here to get some beer pong game supplies just the usual solo cups and pong balls. I was pleased to find out that they actually have whole beer pong sets with the chills and plenty of balls for less than ten bucks. I was shocked I honestly thought I would have a harder time finding just the things I needed at all never thought they would be beautifully packaged together on the shelf staring at me when I needed them. The customer service policy has changed recently and is different from other Walmart stores. Very difficult to do simple returns. The store has upgraded as far as cleanliness except for the restrooms. They are AWFUL and almost always smell completely and unbearably terrible. The pharmacy department is great. The pharmacists are thorough and professional and make sure they explain a problem to you.

This store is alot of the time where I can get what I need without going to another site. But I can tell about two Fridays consecutively that I hated being in that Walmart. Say three weeks ago I entered and saw a very large crowd,why is still a question. You know that half of the cashier's work ,and self check out is not the best thing. I was able to avoid the long line because I had a few items and was paying cash. Others used cards. That next Friday all the computers were down, I'll say no more.

Trying to get in and out with anything after 9pm is horrible... They only have the self checkouts working and 1 register. The self check outs only accept cards so if you have cash bring a lunch or snack because ypure fonna wait a while. The lines are god awful long and trying to sneakback to electronics to get checked out fast doesn't work. They close registers and are there to send people up front. Plus they close at 11pm.

I used to call this store the ghetto store now I call it the great great store. They have an overwhelming amount of merchandise not familiar with the setup just yet because yesterday was my first time since they revamp the store. I loved the deli they were out of my favorite potato salad deviled egg potato salad. My favorite store is still Walmart Monclair. However one day when I have a couple hours to spend I will try to go back out there and understand the store layout. Restore a computer to be very clean and they had lots of electric scooters available. Walmart Roebuck also have free parking and lots of parking for the disabled/ handicap. It was good to see a familiar face and still employed there her name is Miss Rhonda. I never made it to the other end of the store down by the pharmacy section. Near the grocery section there were several vending machines at least two of those were for sodas for at least $0.50 a can. You go Walmart! Oh they had a lot of police cars on the lot driving around for our protection.

Once again, the Roebuck Supercenter was out of several every day, regular items. They have been out of regular, original Club crackers for weeks now. Walmart Pay was the only saving grace. This Wal Mart is convenient as long as the self checkouts are open. Not so convenient from 4:30pm to 7:00pm Mon thru Fri. The exchange of a propane tank is time consuming as you can't do it with regular checkout. You must go to the service desk first then wait for an associate up to thirty minutes (my personal average of five visits). Self checkouts sometimes close at 10pm. Store closes at midnight.

People may say this place is "Ghetto" or "Nasty" or maybe even feel unsafe in the area, and let me tell you they are absolutely right. I went there just the other day and three people asked me for change on the way in and one of them was a Walmart employee. There is always an extreme amount of litter in the parking lot. The employees are usually rude and have a poor attitude in general. Would recommend that you go to another Walmart if possible.

I had a pickup order but had to get out of my car and go into the store to pick it up. It took less than a minute once I got to the correct location which is in the middle of the store and not easy to find. I do the store pickup at other Wal-Marts and all I do is drive up and call a number and someone brings it to my car and load it as well. With this store I had to load the box into my car myself. Why is pickup so different with this Wal-Mart from other Wal-Marts. Didn't like this pickup service.

It's not the worst store ever, but there are issues at this store. I've gone to the Pharmacy, asked for a certain syringe and been told "it doesn't exist". So i pulled it out of my pocket and said, "You mean, i don't know what i'm talking about and we probably don't have it, don't you?" I also, 10 times a year, have bought Novolin 70/30 from them and, went in last week for syringes and was told "You haven't bought Novolin from us since 2013" and i'm thinking 'Do these people think my diabetes just EXPIRED and i'm not a diabetic anymore and that's their reason for trying to DENY me needles?!?!?' FINALLY, someone with some common sense in there realized that a diabetic doesn't just stop being a diabetic and if i had been getting insulin that i probably still needed needles. LOL Also, there's too much talking and goofing around among "some" employees in the electronics department. You have several employees there and they're talking and laughing and saying, "I'll get (Fill in the blank) to help you" and it's someone who's not even THERE at the moment. Let's call that a "half of the time" situation, sometimes I'll get someone in there who will actually help without calling in someone else. The rest of the store I've not had any issues with, they pretty much do their job.

Walmart is the last stop on my shopping list each month, because of the size. As a senior with back issues, the less steps i take, the better. I am sometimes appalled at the out-dated goods they apparently buy and stock shelves with...so it takes me longer to shop checking dates on my purchases. The Roebuck store is better than the Irondale location in that regard. It just isnt a pleasure searching for what I need. Too big, carries too much...encourages impulse buys from prominent displays for things you want, but not needed. My senoir budget suffers everytime I go, so I go after I have spent most of money, just for things I could not get elsewhere at good prices. They could put a senior needs aisle close to front, save us some steps, near produce department. I envision a display with basics for everyday needs. Would be a blessing.

The city boasts Walmarts in every neighborhood (one was closed due to theft & problems in the area, however). Each Walmart has generally the same merchandise plus products catering to the neighborhood demographics. 😎
