We visit Walmart a few times a week for various reasons. We have never had any problems. We actually prefer the self checkout because the lines are shorter and even if there is a bit of a line, with the number of self checkouts it goes fast.

Don't like self checkout! It was always welcoming to visit with checker and appreciated the personnel inquiring if I found everything. Personnel working the floor always seemed to be visiting for an extended period of time and I would get tired of waiting!

It's your average Walmart. Not enough cashier's during holiday season so lines at the check out stations are out of this world. Fairly good selection of grocery and clothing items. Decent, average Walmart supercenter.

As rarely as we get to billings, there are always new changes. Our local (close by like 120 miles away) store we are getting used to the workers that do online shopping scurrying around, which has lightened the crowd in store. To see that has been the the same in billings is kind of nice for shopping although I was surprised to find the billings store is moving away from manned cashiers since they only have 2 working lanes and everything else has been converted to self checkouts. This is not bad, I don't mind the change, but I hope this isn't a push to try and force everyone to pay for Wal-Mart+ and the ability to scan and checkout in your cart. I am not to the point of wanting to pay for the tiny effort change in being in their store shopping.

Had to go buy a new car battery for our daughter at the Billings, MT West End location. The two gentleman working at 7pm on 12/20 in the Auto Area were both INCREDIBLE!! WIsh I would have gotten both of their names. One had a nick name of OBI-WAN- Both SO helpful especially as busy as they both were with the extreme cold snap and last minute shoppers they were also assisting. THANK YOU for your excellent help tonight!!

Walmart is—well—Walmart. I went early this morning to try and avoid a lot of foot traffic. I can’t say my experience was stellar. It seemed the majority of staff were sick. One of the cashiers kept PULLING DOWN her MASK to COUGH!! Others were sneezing and sniffing. It was real reassuring as an immunocompromised person… I will say that Walmart seems to be stepping it up with selection, though. There’s a bigger variety to choose from. It’s nice. A problem I have been having lately, though, is the lack of handicap accessibility. No matter what time I go, the aisles are always full of stockers and pick up order carts, and it makes it nearly impossible to get wheelchairs through. I can’t even go down the aisles for home goods and crafts because they are too narrow to turn down without knocking things off shelves. The clothing aisles are also completely inaccessible to wheelchairs. They simply can’t fit at all. Half the self checkouts are always blocked off, too. All and all, it could be a better experience, but you can’t expect high standards from Walmart.

The first time I went in the store it was the first time I seen a super Superstore then I realized it's too big I don't like it so now we order and go there and pick it up but they have a lot of parking spaces for that so that's a good thing

There's always something to see at your local Wally's. The employees are everything including security. I love it! Plus where else can you buy beer, tampons, and a car battery. Plus I ring it up myself. Keep up the great work!

Store was clean and decently organized. I was able to find what I needed (and then some). There are issues with keeping certain items stocked, but that is likely due to current economic conditions and not a failing of the store. I was actually looking for a specific product that only Walmart carries and checked both stores in Billings to no avail. Both had no current stock of the item. Staff were friendly and courteous which isn’t always the case at Walmart.

Unfortunately in small towns it can be difficult to get trucks in for stock. During tourist season this problem is exasperated. In all honesty most of the staff looks miserable there. Fortunately, they are good people who genuinely care but are pushed by a management team that does not share the same vision. Customer service first is definitely not what matters in this particular location. On the upside, you can find a wide variety of sandwiches, pizza, salad and hot foods like chicken and corn dogs to eat on your way to Yellowstone. Their bakery is always well stocked and puts out good products. Don't feel discouraged if the self check out line looks intimidating. It always moves quite fast and you won't be there as long as you fear.

I have been very satisfied with my experiences here. It is always clean and I receive great customer service at self checkout when needed. I primarily do pick up now with having multiple little ones and even the customer service in this department is phenomenal. Thank you Billings Heights walmart!

Kinda trashy, even for a Walmart.... The food section seems to be clean, but the store itself just seems run down and a bit neglected maybe. They could certainly find something to clean if they had to. Not my first choice for shopping. They close at 11PM, too. Perhaps this store is just atypical. I'd rather go to Laurel if I had to go to Walmart and had the time to get there and back.

Lately @WalMart the shelves haven't been fully stocked and there's a lot of missing items and their prices are getting to be just as high as every place else is and there's hardly any checkers now so you have to check yourself out! Which is a real bummer if you have a lot of groceries or different payments to make on different cards!

They were renovating so everything is out of place and the isles were so small only 1 person with a cart could go in . The employees were nice and I am sure once the renovation is done it will be nice. I feel though even during the renovation things could still be organized and I felt that the women's clothing dept was a disaster. Boxes everywhere , carts filled with clothing all over...you couldn't even see the pajama dept because of all the carts with clothing in them . Clothing just hung up , no order to them . Maybe next time will be better after the renovation

I appreciate having access to the Billings Walmart. The staff are polite, knowledgeable of their work stations and most staff can direct you and/or take you to the items that are difficult to figure out where they would be. Like suction cups for hanging things on windows and card table replacement rubber caps for the legs. Its no joke that a person can spend a lot of time in the store so when you can get assistance it makes it all the more pleasant to shop.

The staff is always helpful. They rarely are out of the items I shop at their store for. This location seems a bit more crowded and have fewer selections than the supercenter in the heights, but overall still a decent store.

After the holiday season a customer can expect alot of items missing from shelves. But even though after the big holiday season, this particular Walmart worked diligently to stock there shelves. Employees around every isle, stocking merchandise, speaking with customers, and making sure that you find what you need. Managers walking around to delegate and manage the store to perfection. Although I would still like to have items put on shelves more neatly and appealing. Tyat being said im very impressed 👏🏻

This Walmart had what I needed and from what I could tell, they had a good inventory. I got a new tent and a nice fishing pool and fishing gear. The greeter was nice and complimented me as I left. I do not know if this is just a one time thing.

After several less than satisfactory visits, it seems that the folks at the westside Billings Walmart are getting their act together and finishing the remodeling/reorganization they were working on. I only waited a few minutes in the checkout line as opposed to 15 to 20 minutes in the past several months.

SOOO VERY BUSY! The crowds may have cleared out shelves earlier, not a big selection left in many areas. The biggest complaint is all those checkout counters closed - only open was self checkout and a single line for the handicapped.

Don't buy your garden plants from here they are terrible. Home Depot across the street sells some of the same plants by same vendors and they are healthy and robust. Walmart needs to train their garden/nursery workers in how to properly care for plants, it would sure be more convenient to do all my shopping in the same store.

This is a Typical Walmart supercenter. I will say the staff is generally friendly However this Walmart can have long waits for the money center on some days and there is generally a wait in line of 2 or 3 people most days. This store used to be 24 hours but is no longer.

The people in the bakery were wonderful they did a great job on my son's birthday cake I also got a coconut cake on clearance when I went to the scan and go the coconut cake wouldn't scan and it got stuck and there was no one to assist at those registers but a gal I did call the number in a gal came and helped me she was very polite she got it scanned in and when I went to pay with the debit card it kept saying it was declined come to find out the girl came back over and for some reason they weren't taking cards and I could go to the ATM while the ATM had like 30 people in line because everyone wanted to use cards and it wasn't Walmart's fault or any of the other people but my anxiety goes ridiculous in Walmart anyways so I returned the items to the bakery and had them hold them went to Wells Fargo and went back later that night the cake was wonderful though

We went for household items, childrens clothing and such ..its all moved around now..thungs are our of place and not as easy to find because the storenis still under renovation and all..but when going towrads the childrens baby bath Section my hubby told me to stay back because another customer was just coughing and hacking in the aisle we wanted to go down and they werent wearing a mask at all..hardly nobody was. We told a worker..they did nothing. .so I wont be going there for a few weeks or so ..our hospitals are both full of covid patients right now and have the national gaurd at there entrances. And people wont wear a mask? Its simple. But nobody wants to wear them...its just dumb. Walmart should be making people wear them soon as they walk in there store. !! You can never be too safe. ♡

Store has an OK layout...associates were very nice. Nothing was wrong with your team members, but the teeny tiny checkouts were horrible. Even though there were many registers...there were only 3 open with 8-10 person lines(this was on a Tuesday..mid-day) and yes there were self checkout isles that..well if you dropped something and went to pick it up, your butt would be on someone else’s cart lol. Nice store, nice workers...bad floor design. I don’t know, I could just be used to other Walmart’s

Today I had a very pleasant visit to Walmart. Unfortunately that's not always the case. Some greeters are way too aggressive. They are often out of the things I need. Today they didn't have the kind of iced tea I wanted and the 12 packs of soda I wanted was packed so tight on the shelf I couldn't get one off of there.

I ordered a 6 foot sub for Easter at west end Billings Walmart, and the deli did SUPER! My whole family enjoyed it. I was surprised all the condiments that come with it, and in separate containers so that people could put what they wanted on theirs. Thank you!

It's ok. I mean its always a mad house there. But you can find great deals. Update. I really believe there new layout is better. The isles are bigger so you don't get stuck behind someone. And once you get used to it you can get almost anything you need

Only 3 checkers, the rest are self checkout. Low on employees & shelves are sparse. Compared with other states, this Walmart is a safe place to shop at night.

If you can shop in the day time there are actually cashier to check you out! During the evening you will be lucky to have one cashier and self service. Items keep moving in store so using the app to find things helps a lot. Isles can be busy with order fillers for the drive ups. Those folks are very helpful with questions.

SHOUT OUT to Ernie at the lunch meat counter! She was pleasant and patient when I asked for 2 and 4 slices of meat/cheese... unlike the OTHER older lady who pitched a fit when I asked. She could take lessons from Ernie on customer service!! She clearly needs retrained or talked to. Thanks Ernie for making my day! I would have given this 5 stars but the obvious diminished my spirit for the brief encounter. All is well ....

This Walmart was awesome! We just parked over nite with our RV. The store was clean and well organized.Employees were friendly. We always leave our spot cleaner than when we came and help with grocery carts that are left in parking spots where they shouldn't be Thank you Walmart for allowing us to stay by you.

Friendly, helpful people, HUGE store. Shop early because by nighttime a lot of items are gone, sold out. The evening crew works hard to restock but seems a lot of work. Large parking lot. Stay away from the old Toys R Us store, they will tow you out! It is clearly marked "this is not a Walmart lot". We 2 days in this friendly city. From Phoenix.

The King Ave. store is in the middle of a remodeling. It might take a while to find what you are looking for. The problem here is that once you do find it, the checkout process will take more effort than you should expect. There were 3, yes 3,cashiers open and every self service register was in use. More cashiers please Walmart!

They had stuff, and it was affordable. Isnt that the most important thing? Alright, to be honest though they were out of quite a few of your basic items like soda and certain snacks. The place also wasn't the neatest store I'd ever been to either, but again......they had stuff and it was affordable. I ask you again, isn't that why we go to Wal-Mart?

Wally world - as I've heard it been called. Is a fantastic place for everyone. Great prices on most things. Convenient location with plenty of parking. In the last few years I have really seen Walmart step up their tech game as well as their security. I feel safe when I shop at Walmart. The pharmacy is also usually on of the cheapest places to shop.

Ok it's a Walmart it gets 5 stars because I went there knowing it was a Walmart, and I was in the need of an assortment of items that one stop shopping draws one to a Walmart. This, crazy enough, is my least favorite Walmart to shop at, I dread going there. Let me tell you this, I had one of my better Walmart experiences in there today. They had everything I wanted. I found everything quickly. The place wasn't crowded. And they had an astounding number of check out lines open. I walked the row and everyone was busy , and generally most lines a person could pull on up and start putting a couple of items on the belt. I don't know if I just got lucky or they made some changes. I will test them out again because I find their location convenient for me.

Store staff was helpful and pleasant, except for one guy... ▪I needed to use the Ladies restroom and could not wait until my next stop. A nice clerk let me leave my shopping cart at her register before paying, as I did not want to leave it vulnerable to theft after I paid. The Ladies restroom had a bar across it and a sign indicating it was closed for cleaning and that customers could use a bathroom at the back of the store. I called in, asking how long it would he until it were reopened. A man curtly said it was closed. I said something about being about to have an accident. He marched to the opening and removed the bar, making it very clear that he was extremely angry. As I was using the restroom, he let in two other women; but, turned away a bunch of others. This was early evening. Seems like a stupid time to disrupt customers for janitorial reasons. ▪The main item I wanted was out of stock.

The Walmart always is stocked with whatever you need. I usually go later or earlier to avoid the crowds because people in this particular Walmart are absolutely rude and will hit you with your cart and act like it's your fault. There is absolutely no courtesy amongst the Shoppers they are entitled and feel like it is their Lane and you're just merely kind of coming through it. The door greeters are amazing they're friendly they are nice they're everything you would ever want from an employee as well as the cashiers and stockers. So it is not the employees that make it a terrible place it is the customers.

Too busy, needs another location this side of town. Not enough open lanes. Parking is chaotic with too many carts not collected. They inspect every item you buy now because there is too much theft here. 24/7 hours are convenient.

This Walmart has gotten some improvements done. This place was worn down but looks really good now. Staff are friendly and I like the new self checkout stands at both ends of the store. The new self checkout with the conveyor is sweet for when you have a full cart and want to do the checkout yourself! Way to go Walmart for stepping up and improving this location.

My favorite thing about Walmart is that I can do ALL of my shopping in one store. I love the App and use it always. If you're not using it, you're really missing out. I really love being able to scan my own items! If I need help, someone's always there. Their prices are great and the Savings Catcher is even better.

Painfully crowded most of the time. When any store is that busy, it's going to be extremely hard to keep it clean! Especially the bathrooms. Go to the heights or hit the one in Laurel if you can. They are way less busy and about 2 or even 3 times as clean. As far as the workers go, they seem to all be overworked, but still as helpful as they can be. Be nice to them, you may need a job someday as well.

Usually in and out. Not all of the associates know what its like to apparently work for a living though. Not do they really care. Even the CSM's can be a little rude. They never really have the best stuff in stock or the best vegetables. Honestly. If I didn't live so far from it, I'd drive to the one in the Heights. Large parking lot easy to get into and easy to exit. Store was very clean and well lit. Have the usual Walmart products which is why we went there. Staff is very helpful and asked for directions.

Out of our 3 local locations, I'd say this one is the best. Largest selection of the three. Depending on what time of day, some items can be kind of picked over or out on the shelf. It seems like more and more they want you to use self checkout, less normal registers open. All in all, it's a decent place to shop.

I hate going to this particular store and will avoid at all costs! Almost completely due to all the incidents that appear to occur daily! I don't like taking my kid there it's not safe and If I do go, I will park by Toys R Us, go in through the tire center, get what I need and check out by the garden center. It might sound crazy but everytime I turn around there's a shooting or a stabbing or police are always there for something. Frankly I'd rather drive all the way up to the end of the heights. That store is nicer, cleaner and safer as far as I'm concerned!

Been going to this Wal-Mart since it opened in or around 1993. I extremely rarely don't find something that I need, but I often find more than what I had originally gone in for. The low prices have been a God-send on all products, and being able to get my prescriptions at the pharmacy at a discount price has meant that I didn't have to do without.

Very friendly to RVers. Called to make sure it was OK to park in the lot overnight, and the lady who answered the phone was very enthusiastic and positive about inviting us to stay. Parking lot well lit, so be ready to have something to cover your eyes while sleeping. Plenty of other RVs in the lot, a bit noisy at 5AM when parking lot was being cleaned, but otherwise quiet and safe. Such a pleasure to walk into a nice new WalMart and shop after getting a good rest in the parking lot. Bright, clean, well stocked, staff polite and friendly. A great place to take a break and stock up your RV!

I love Walmart but I think the people need to work on their communication skills I think they need to do better with helping the patrons as they come in although there was one guy when I was there this past Tuesday he was very courteous very sweet and made sure that I had what I needed the person in the Cosmetic section was not very helpful nor did she want to be helpful and I don't feel as if though some of the workers care about the customers so they could work on their customer service skills I am an African American female and I'm not sure if that was the problem but I did not feel welcome nor did I feel appreciated at this particular Walmart.

I like the prices.. There are two young men there who always get a case of water bottles into the handicap cart for me.. I think they are Native American & brothers.. If they're not there, I have to go hunt for someone to help me. I am glad for the handicap carts. Alot of times tho, they are just left unplugged. I told the man at the door about it, but he just said his boss said to leave them like that.. So they won't overcharge. I spend a lot of money there each month. I know there are lots of handicapped people who also spend alot of money there.. The carts are so helpful to us!

It's Walmart. It's crowded, cheap, and full of people that don't control their kids. Do yourself a favor and use their free pickup service, but beware that by default they will sub out your selections for something similar of 'equal or greater value'. Sometimes they get very loose with this and you can get something not very similar or you will go from a name brand to a Walmart brand. If it's something you're very particular on just unselect the substitution option. Something also to keep in mind if getting something like meat or milk, keep in mind they aren't grabbing the best dates like you would yourself. I have had milk with a current day sell by date, and day after for meat. In these cases I didn't even notice until they were already bad, as I personally don't buy things like that if they don't have good dates.

The tire department at West end Wal-Mart is the best experience I have had. Their policies are strict. And their employees are so good! Patience. I think her name was Kayla: super good with frustrated customers on a holiday, over worked and understaffed, she handled it like a champion. Recommended the best tires for my f150 supercrew. I was very happy with the customer service I received on New Years Day, that was the ONLY place open. And the price was the BEST in the city.

Store needs to cater more to shoppers over 60 who need to rest while they shop. It's a LOT of walking, pushing, bending, lifting. When I finish shopping and loading my car, I am in pain and need to rest. But I still shop there because prices can't be beat.
