Reviews of Antique Tobacco Barn
Randy Latner
We really enjoyed our visit. So many things to see and walk around. Pushing it this would take over an hour easy but more like 2 hours on a normal walking pace. Lots of great stuff and a huge variety for many different people.
Nasus S
So much to see. Variety abounds. They've laid out their facility to maximize the number of individual stalls. Take a couple of hours, or more, to walk around in this place. Even if you do not buy anything, you'll enjoy walking around to see and learn about different types of items.
Cathy Heidt
This place is full of collectables! It's huge....items inside and outside. It's a metal building so it got a little hot inside even with the fans going. Give yourself plenty of time to look around....lots to see. Prices are okay....A little higher then I'm use to around home but I had fun plundering.
Heather
I had some time to kill between doctor appointments. I first found the coffee cart inside the place, then stayed for the antiques.
Oh my they have so many wonderful vendors! There are antiques from all around the world. I couldn't get over the selection of posters and doors available.
The prices were not outrageous either. I was very surprised when I checked out different items in different booths. Most of the vendors' prices were reasonable.
I highly recommend this place! It's a great place to hang out and get some coffee, and admire antiques, especially those that will never be in your budget 😅.
Leanne Arvila
Wow! This place is huge!! I wish I had an old house I was fixing up because they have everything here from doors and windows to planks of rare hardwoods. Plus all the furniture you could want for inside. Very cool assortment of vendors. We spent several hours waking around twice because there is so much to see. They have home depot style flat carts to pile your stuff up on

Kinda the Mecca of antiques around these here parts forsure. Use to be an old tobacco exchange, and is now what has the be the most expensive selection of antiques I think I've ever seen. There isn't a whole lot of thyme or reason to the place, it's just kind of a MAssive warehouse of old cool stuff, but still 100% worth the stop, and if you really wanna look hard there is almost definitely something to suit your fancy.
Jo Dee
Love it here. One place that my husband and I can spend hours in. There are so many great items, we are simply overwhelmed!
Alexis Langston
Sooooo overwhelmingly awesome for antique lovers! Very dusty and a variety to collectors, refurbishers, and so much more! 2 entrances and plenty parking on both sides. Included inside is a lounge area with an espresso bar! Vendors present at select booths adding new pieces.
gordon pettersen
Unique items showing up here from Mexico, about a month before up North. A lot of new items, mixed up with salvaged items as well as hand crafted goods. If your looking to decorate, you probably find something here.

Soooo much to see, it’s huuuuge smells delicious (coffee). Mostly import items but some local things as well. We would have shopped longer but it was freezing. There’s no heat at all, literally. Great place to shop though if you wear ski clothes, hat scarf, gloves and comfy boots. I may put on every clothing item I brought in suitcase, stuff myself with the hotel towels and come back. It’s a metal building with concrete floors, 46 outside and somehow it seemed even colder inside.
Devon L Nichols
There is a ton to look at, lots of unique and interesting items. However a lot of the prices seemed a little high. There was literally an empty bottle of mustard and a tin of knock off nesquick on sale for $15 each. I understand this isn't the fault of the market, and each seller sets their own prices, just seems they have to set them high to keep a stall in such a renowned location.

Really cool place (both figuratively and literally) I really enjoyed walking around but wish I had brought a warmer coat. Lots of cool and unique items. An eclectic mix of antiques, vintage and modern. I do wish things were labeled a little better as some areas feel more like an over priced thrift store while others offer more unique vintage and antique items. It can be hard to tell the difference sometimes. Overall it was fun and I will probably be back.
Rob Simmerman
Easy parking and a fun place to roam around in for an hour or two. We've purchased several items there since moving to the area a few months ago. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Hank Gray
We had a fun time shopping here very large and a lot to see the staff was nice and helpful we’ll be back the next time we’re in town👍👍 …
Ann Aylward
This place is amazing. Endless amounts of antiques and architectural building supplies and fixtures. The staff is very friendly and the building is pet friendly. Which made me very happy. I got a couple of great finds.
Erin McGrady
The Antique Tobacco Barn is a great place to find something unique for a gift or for your own home or business. Much of the stuff in there is vintage and/or repurposed materials. There's everything from old doors in there to shutters, tables, windows, clothing, dishes, trinkets, etc. Like a lot of other salvage spots, this is one is organized by booth and vendor. Most of the prices are easy to locate but if you have a question the staff at the front are easy to talk with, friendly and helpful. If you want to make an offer or ask for a discount they'll even contact the seller for you. If you're in the market for something to add a cool touch to your space, definitely give this place a try. Oh and dress warm in the winter as they have an outdoor space with a ton of stuff you won't want to miss.
The best of Panama And the world
At the beginning I was in love of this place until my boyfriend told me not everything is antique here, just reproductions. But anyways, they have a huge selection of pieces and we love the wood countertop they have in the back of the building.
Farrah Williams
Amazing items but way pricey. I want everything they have but costly. Also huge space took me two trips to see everything. Huge furniture selection. A lot of odds and ends. A great hunt for sure
Adrienne Ludwig
You need a full day to explore here. So much from furniture to knick knacks. Some pricy pieces, but you can definitely score a deal...just have to hunt.
Jonathan Gordon
Cool stuff, huge selection. Oh and the coffee is good 😊☕
Prices are a little high but it makes sense, you can tell everyone here puts in the work to find nice treasure for you to bring home. …
Patrick Barclay
Always a great place to check out when we're in the area. We always leave with something(s) we love.
Melissa Irving
This place is huge. Just know there is no heat or a/c. So dress accordingly. But totally worth it.
Walter Brannock
Huge number of vendors displaying a must see place. Lots of stuff to look at but you do need make sure you are not buying reproductions. Over the years I have noticed less true antiques and more mid century and newer items. Perfect rainy day trip. You will find your true treasure. Tip, ask for what discount is available. People behind me got 10% off seniors.
Steve Frick
This place is huge, so plan on spending some time here if you want to see everything. There's a variety of most every antique and treasure on the planet. Prices are fairly consistent with what we've seen during our travels.
If you're into woodcrafts make sure to head out back because there's plenty of lumber for sign making or furniture construction.
Kindal McAuliffe
We just started going to antique shops. I was so excited to go here. It was neat, but I've seen better. But worth a trip. It all depends on what you are into.
David Danner
Great place to mosey around and gander at new & old decorations.
New benches & swings to old desks & decorations.
Nice in a rainy day.
Shawne Sheldon
This place is really neat, they have tons of beautiful, interesting items. Staff was friendly and enjoyed our visit
Caleb Kellicutt
Lovely walking through this place and seeing what they had to offer. Most is expensive but there are diamonds in the rough
Liz Crawford
This place... If you love digging through endless amounts of antique/vintage/repurposed/unique/oddity treasures... This is for you. HEAPS of good finds. Make sure you clear your schedule for this trove, it takes a while to get through the whole place. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Most vendors are willing to negotiate as well! Love love love this place!
MLW
SUPER huge space filled mostly with larger oversized antiques but also some smaller items too. Prices were all over, some high and some not. But had lots of fun looking!
Tomas oconnell (Road Warrior)
This is our favorite antique shop in the country. We stop in every trip and love the selection. We cannot get enough and take our friends who agree. I wish I had a bigger car. 🛻 …
Mark Owen (Merlin)
Great selection of antiques, collectibles and rustic furnishings, but take your time, a lot of junk to wade through. As they say, one man's junk is another man's treasure.
William Barbuto
One of, if not the best I've been to. Great diversity of selections. The inside is huge and the outer portion has even more to see.
Kevin Thompson
A great big open antique market. Higher prices then I would of liked but massive selection.
William Ray
Amazing! Almost overwhelming how much stuff they have. Me and my wife love coming here!
Diane Tierno
We were staying in the Biltmore Village and Tobacco Barn was a short drive away so I stopped in to check it out. It is indeed a barn with open doors and no AC, as it was 91 the day I went the barn was hot, not their fault, This is more of a furniture/decorating shop, lots of older furniture and doors etc, very few chatckes. If you are in search of little antique glass treasures as I am, this is not the place for you. I can not comment on prices as I have no idea the price of vintage or antique furniture, there was a large selection though.
Jennifer Cipullo
Great experience and will definitely return when in the area again. HUGE store and a great selection in particular of industrial pieces, which we prefer. Lots of furniture and door options as well. Would be great for anyone re-doing their home. Great that they have bathrooms available and a little coffee stand at the entrance as well. Only drawback is that there are some booths with almost exclusively new merchandise, which is why I give 4/5. Otherwise, a great find and we walked away with 3 new treasures.
Kyle Wray
They have such a huge selection of really neat items from dressers to antique signs. Cow rugs to wine racks. We love coming here.
Bree Bramall
A tone to look at good pieces but a lot of things wearing actually old, just made to look old. Also no side walk leading up to this store which made for a scary walk. They obviously can’t help that but just a warning, take a car!
Larry Powers
A very cool place for antiques and alot of unique items. Be prepared to spend some time there as there's alot to look at.
Rachel Kelly
Unbelievable! Well stocked amazing place to find unique pieces for your home. Also clean and really well organized. Prices are higher but not outrageous. You can make a day of this place it's so cool!
Bekah Stanley
My husband & I had so much fun wandering around this place. It's huge!!!! And you could easily spend several hours perusing everything in Antique Tobacco Barn. I would definitely recommend coming here if you like antiquing!
Jeb Montgomery
This place is exactly as advertised, it is a barn, with antiques. Definitely worth a stroll through even if you're a non collector like me.
corey ford
Very nice helpful staff, had an issue with a purchase and they helped me resolve it. I wasn’t the nicest person when speaking to them but they still acted beyond professional. Recommend 100%
Lori Geels
Hadn’t been to the Tobacco Barn in a few years, but found just the end/occasional table we’d been looking for for a great price.
Craig H.
Bought the bigfoot, it's the only place where you can find them. I've looked in Canton, Manassas, Gray Quarry AND Springs Circle. Nothing. Nope. Nada. The ONLY place you can get one in the tri-state area is at the Tobacco Barn. Get yours today!
Paul Tedder
Quality antiques, massive selection, helpful staff
Travis Pace
This place is amazing for shoppers and browsers alike! If you come to Asheville, don't miss this place! There is something for everyone to see here - and whatever you're looking for they probably have it! The items rotate out a lot so if you have visited in the past, its definitely worth another look! So much history and nostalgia all in one place!
Jessica Houde
Enormous! Terrific selection! Still very easy to shop with baskets and flat carts available. My family just stops here instead of going from store to store. Lots of different vendors and styles. There's more here than any 10 stores in Asheville!
Adam Dettmers
Very cool Antique Place. It's big and they have a lot of cool stuff.
Ryan Schrock
Tons of antique-related things! Lots of furniture as well.
Cindy Brockwell
I love antiquing, this is a wonderful place big and spacious, parking isn't as easy as I'd like it to be for my van and wheelchair ramp but hey that's when you gotta be creative on getting in and out, had a great time loved the atmosphere and employee's were nice.
Dacey Taylor
One of the highlights of our trip! We love antiques and we spent an hour in here (but definitely could spend more time if we had it!) I found some beautiful vintage Pyrex and it was reasonably priced so I bought three pieces of it to start my collection. It’s very cold in there because it’s a warehouse, but they have a little coffee counter and I got some awesome hot cocoa to help keep me warm. What a great way to spend an afternoon!
Kayla D
Just never know what you'll find. It's a collection of vendors(but seems to be a lot of the same every time I visit) and, being in Asheville, prices can be quite high for items that may not really be worth it. But it's a large space so it's always worth a look because you never know if they'll get a new vendor in with quality goods!
Becky Holleman
We love coming here every chance we get! They always have something I'm looking for. It's a must stop if you're near Asheville!
Andy White
This place is cool with a ton of history! Get a fresh made coffee and explore all the antiques!
Melissa S.
Huge store with a lot of antiques and new stuff. It's a little overwhelming, but fun to poke around and see what you can find.
David Shuler
I enjoyed going to the antique tobacco barn. A little disappointed in it though. There were some nice things that I looked at. But it was a lot of overpriced junk at the end of the day. And I mean over priced.
Robert Minichino
Diddn't see any antique tobacco. Clearly a tourist trap because the prices on some things that are literally junk are ridiculous.
$15 for an old metal funnel.
Randall Noe
Neat place,,kinda like going to 4 antique stores in one.
DAVID SHELTON
Nan, so very much to see! Spent too much. But, got super cool antique doors to hang!
Charles Becket
This place has just about everything. They will haggle on items worth over $100. They will give a 10% discount for cash/check. There are some real treasures and bargains here. Plan to spend at least 2 hours there, over 70 different booths. The one thing I can say is that in the entire Ashville area, the antiques are pretty expensive compared to what I have seen in other parts of the country. That is not unique to this place. You can find some awesome "Can't live without" items here that you may not see elsewhere just understand you may have to "pay up" for that luxury. I will definitely be back and next time I will bring a trailer with me.
Brandi Dittenber
This place is HUGE! We visit often because you can't see everything in one day!
Neil Young
Great place in Asheville to find unique and assorted antiques. Lots of items big and small with easy access and clearly marked prices
Allan Gonzalez
The best antique shop in the area! Huge place, reasonable prices and way more antique than vintage items.
Judson Necaise
This place is AMAZING very unique items prices are not inflated if anything they are below market value. We spent three hours and if you pay cash you save 10%
Lee Vining (Realtor)
The Antique Tobacco Barn is a super awesome (and warm) place to spend the afternoon! There are rows, and rows, and rows of unique items. It's easy to spend a few hours here and find items for in the house or outside.
Jason Dayton
2nd trip to Asheville and 2nd trip here. Cool place with A LOT of unique and antique items for sale. Good way to spend an hour strolling through history.
Taylor Moss
Loved the place. Had a good selection of interesting stuff and a lot of room to just explore and browse. Be warned it gets cold in here during the winter
Casey White
So much beautiful antique furniture and stained glass. We spent an hour browsing and barely made it through half the stores full shelves. We will definitely be back. Prices were mostly fair. Most of the items were in amazing condition.
Jim Reaves
Neat place, with something for everyone that likes vintage and antique things. You never know what you might find! Only negative is that the phrase "good help is hard to find" may have been coined with this place in mind. The employee that rang up our stuff (two trips) wasn't friendly at all, and barely spoke. Felt like our presence and our buying was an inconvenience he'd rather not have to suffer.
Karin Ahrenholz
Just an awesome collection of so many antiques with reasonable prices. Plan on spending over an hour browsing the large tobacco barn. Grab a girlfriend and go!
Taryn Meeks
Really cool massive warehouse full of old and nifty stuff!
TRina Stroud
The best antique shop I've ever seen.
Todd R Sagmoe
Huge place .. lots of interesting items
Mark Buckland
Awesome place, always find something
you love.
Donald Watts
This place has some unusual pieces. And it’s Huge!
Amy Greene
I have to say this is one antiques store that wore me out! It is huge! An amazing array of items ranging from the smallest silverware to the largest tool. Walking through and seeing all the treasures was fascinating. Tools, car parts, baskets, books, glassware- and my two favorites of cast iron and Pyrex! I will definitely be back here to walk through again and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable day of treasure hunting!
Alli Traywick
A great place to shop and find the perfect items for your house or flip project. It’s so big you might want to bring your lunch and plenty of water. The fans do blow the dust around so maybe a bandana will help. Too many items to list, however the sheer volume of variety will have every person in your party finding something to take home. My only regret was not taking photos. Put this on your list and bring your savings account and oh yeah bring an extra truck, you’re gonna need it.
Jeff Curl
Wow. Must see in Asheville. Large space filled with a variety of solid antiques. I appreciated the primitive selections.
Linn Torres
Lots of cool stuff, come with time to browse!
Rebecca Stratton
When we first found this place years ago it was such fun. The mystery finds were wonderful and prices were fair. Now, there's a great deal of reproductions and high priced garage sale like items. There are still some architectural finds and interesting artsy things. But the prices are high!
pilotdane
The best antique barn I have visited. I won't say you will find many bargains as the prices are premium but even if you don't buy anything the tremendous variety makes it an interesting visit. Really surprising is their tremendous inventory of rough sawn wood, the one thing with good pricing. So, if you want to make a live edge dining table or mantle this is a great place to find the wood you need at 1/2 to 1/3 the price of online wood sellers.
Ed Plants
Extra large area. Difficult to see it all, but luckily, on your way out, there's refreshments to revitalize you.
Salvador Arellano
Absolutely great experience. Tons of great antiques (mixed in with all the new items)! But the hunt is the fun part! We ended up leaving with a cart full and definitely recommend stopping when in town!
Lacy Chochola
Very very larg selection of antiques and home features lots of super cool finds
Chris Edwards
This place is so huge I lost my girlfriend at least 3 times. The prices are great! If you're looking for a spot to pickup a few souvenirs for yourself or family I would really recommend checking it out. BE WARNED parking fills up pretty quick on rainy days so get there early. Staff was also super friendly.
John Fletcher
70,000 sq ft of stuff...found a cabinet bit needs lots of work
Sherry Lee
I like going to look for unique pieces but always come away feeling that the prices are more than retail in some cases and you'll have to clean off decades of dust and grime to boot!
Me You
This place is crazy big with all sorts of unique items for sale. It's a must stop.
Timothy W.
If you like to spend hours looking through items old and new, this is the place. A few drawbacks are tight isles and heat.
Stephanie Ritter
Fantastic spot for fun finds and Antiques. Lots of furniture. Doesn't ship at the time of this posting... was the only disappointment. Can spend hours... so come prepared to spend some time.
Daniel Velez
There's a lot of stuff, a very big store.
Debra Ryko
Huge variety of newer items and unusual antiques, metals, doors, wood slabs, wide variety, lots of furniture pieces, stained glass windows. Fun stop on trip. Young man at desk not friendly, acted like he didn't want to be there, dropped part of my purchase, didn't even care and left part of our purchase we paid for on counter when he handed us our bag. Fortunately we checked our bag when we got to our vehicle and discovered item we paid for was not given to us so went back in just as they were closing and were able to get it after explaining to clerk at door what was missing and we were traveling and not able to come back another day. Overall glad we stopped, but I've been to better.
Jane Doe
Always a good find to be had, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a Barista stand at the entry! What a wonderful idea!
Karen Strode
Fabulous variety! Beautiful bargains!
Joennen Kettler
Prices where high but amazing stuff.. I loved visiting from Tennessee
Cadaver Doe
Really interesting place. Lots of antiques in good condition but sometimes for a steep price. If it's winter time dress warmly.
Gary Pearson sr
One of the largest antique stores I've seen. They have a nice selection.
Amy Wolf
This is one of the best antique shops! It's a giant warehouse full of fun furniture, kitsch, art, antiques, and more. The prices are great and variety is impressive. Highly recommend!
Wendy Trommer
Fun place to kill a couple of hours. Lots of stuff to see and if you're in a buying mode lots of options.
Jennifer Day
The beverage booth at the front was lovely. Set aside some time to explore this place, it is Very Large. Some booths were too crowded to really explore, but if you were looking for large antiques (furniture, etc) this would be a great place to shop.
Ree W
We spent a couple of hours here. So much treasure to be found!
Clint Kreuser
Great place to shop. Make sure you have 1-2 days to spend there.
Raoul Castaneda (Demersal)
Since hiring Elena the business has improved remarkably
Shannon Skinner-Cox
This place is awesome. They always have good finds. Only thing I don't like about this place is some of the vendors have so much packed into one little space its hard for a bigger person to walk through them. The prices are very reasonable and the customer service is top notch. They also now have a little coffee stand that is a really good idea.
Ray Barnette
Really big place with a bunch of cool eclectic stuff. Staff were very helpful and friendly as well.
Morgan Pittman
This place is HUGE. If you plan on stopping by, give yourself at least an hour to walk around and go down all the isles and in each booth.
If you're looking for antique furniture, glassware, doors, windows (including stained glass), and wood slabs, this is the place for you. It wasn't too crowded right after lunch time and the people working up front were really cheerful.
Even if you aren't in the market for any of that, it's still a super cool place to go walk around in. There are plenty of hidden treasures here.
Mercy Littlejohn
This place is absolutely amazing. I visited the Antique Tobacco Barn for the 1st time about 5 years ago and was blown away. I went again 3 days and the finds are amazing A true blast from the past!
Carson Coldiron
We love this place. We drive 2 hours just to visit and shop. It's usually the first place we think of when we are looking a some special item. Especially glad for the COVID precautions in place and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
Frank Troglauer
This is quite the treasure trove for antique hunters and people who like to just look through old things people have collected. We did notice that some of the items repeated themselves and weren't quite as unique as you would expect though we hadn't seen them before. It is like the owner purchased a large quantity when a company went out of business.
Barbara Cooper
Loved it! They had all kinds of cool stuff!
Kelly R
Clean, organized and full of gems! Plan for hours of browsing and fun!!
K Harris
Great place to find furniture and so many other items, especially the unusual. I'd give it 5 stars, however, some vendors seem to think that because something is old they should charge more than what it's really worth, especially considering its condition. I get paying more for antiques, if the quality is there, but not for something in need of repair, rusted, or in shabby condition overall.
Ian Farlow
This place is huge so there is plenty to see. It's always an adventure going to this location because of the sheer volume of items contained within. Granted, we only got a $5 plate, but perhaps next time we'll find that piece of antique furniture we've always wanted.
Tanya Purdy
I used to like antique shops but, not so much anymore. People would rather have their stuff die a slow dindgy death than to price their stuff to sell. A small broken set of deer antlers for 55$? Hard pass. Some modern items over priced. It is what it is. If you just like walking around and looking, it's awesome.
The bathrooms were clean and they had a coffee station. So, it wasn't all bad.
Michael Ratley
Awesome shop with some great hidden gems, I always stop in to see what's new when I visit Asheville. Picked up a few new things for the house.
Shawn Katz
Whenever I get the chance to get to Asheville to go shopping, I do my best to take time to visit this amazing place. I always find something! So much to look at! Plan on spending a couple of hours here if you go. So worth the time.
Deena Ward
Very cool place. You can find just about anything that you’re looking for here.
Ben Mooney
Could spend hours if you have nothing specific you are looking for.
Kara Lilly
This is a favorite stop each time we visit the mountains. I have not found a more diverse offering of antiques anywhere. Mixed in are salvage items and it is obvious some are not antiques. All of this is housed in a warehouse big enough you could easily spend a whole day exploring. They recently added a small sitting area and a stand selling drinks. Don't worry if you forget the tape measure, they have several on hand behind the front desk. They also have delivery available if needed. Check them out, a perfect activity for a rainy day. If you have kids, give them a scavenger list and see who can find all the items. Enjoy!
Lisa Wheeler
Excited to check this place out from all the good reviews but I was disappointed. Seems like there are many reproductions, maybe 40% of the items for sale. Lots of large items that I wouldn't even know where to begin to decorate with. We came on a pretty cold day in November and it was freezing inside. I did find a beer crate from Belgium for $37 so the trip was not a loss but I do not think I would return. Prices are a bit too steep for my liking and not enough small items. This place is A-OK if you are looking for a statement piece or your not looking for true antiques.
Russ Nuss
Somebody warned me about all the nooks and cranny. Boy-howdy were they right. 5000 square feet of everything you want and yet did not know you needed. You have to pay close attention to shelves, boxes, cabinets, carts, baskets and stacks of cool stuff.
Sherri E
Only reason I gave it a 3 is it's WAY to expensive for dusty "junk" sitting there for yrs. Ive been 3x now and spent a total of 12.00 . I have seen tons I like, but as a serious " antique/treasure hunter" I enjoy the experience, but spend my money in other "malls " where I find "deals" .
M L Weaver
Loved this place!
Had a fantastic time perusing the various booths. My only disappointment was lack of time & inability to purchase a piece of furniture that would not fit into my car! We will return for another visit when back in Asheville! If you love antiquing/junking, dont miss out on this gem!
iGor
Great place with a huge selection of stuff to rummage through. Would be 5 stars except there are too many reproductions and too many vendors carrying the same items. Still, it's a fun way to spend some time and maybe find something special.
Michael Chochola
I love this place! I was searching for a particular piece of furniture and, unfortunately, started at the wrong end of the building but after around an hour I finally found the perfect item. It was quite a search but since it is like strolling through a museum the endeavor was quite enjoyable. The only thing to be prepared for other than the search concerns some of the pricing which can be rather hefty.
Maria Feliciano
No better thing to do on a rainy day in Asheville but to go antique shopping. Different vendors for each stall, you can speak to them about the pieces and bargain. We went in to window shop but left with great finds!
David Smith
I really wondered about this place after reading bad reviews. I went anyway. It was a very cool place! Huge warehouse filled with a wide variety of goods. Lots of furniture and plenty of small items. As other posts said, there were a lot of reproductions, but they were easy to spot. It was a bit cold, but I used my brain and put a coat on. Not a big deal for me, anyway. Some prices were to high, but most were reasonable, some were very good. I would expect that with a warehouse full of different vendors. Bottom line: bring a coat, pass on overpriced stuff and you will enjoy this place.
Diane Bolick
They have everything! Very interesting place to browse and spend some time. All sorts of treasures if you look, it is a huge place. They have big fans but no air conditioning. I am going back in the fall when it is cooler and plan on spending the day.
Lori Bradford
This place has something for everyone Big, sprawling, very eclectic Will bring truck next time we go

I have to say that this was one of the most awesome places I've ever been to in my life! Well as far as having cool things to look at anyway! My boyfriend and I went to this place two days in a row and still did not have enough time to look at everything but I would definitely go back and I'll definitely recommend this place to anybody who has good taste in furniture and other random little knick-knacks
Zane Jacobs
Huge! Unfortunately I forgot to go back and buy the neat wall sink near the back. Somebody else go realize my dream and get that wicked awesome piece.
Angie Philips
If you are in the mood to update your home and not sure exactly what you want to do, This is the place to go! You don't have to work hard at all to find what you need. Wear very comfortable shoes- this place is huge. The more jam-packed the better. The restroom is on the left when you first go in, and I always stop in here first. Then I start by taking the first isle to the left (the side isle are where I seem to find the most unique items)and work my way left from the front of store to the back. Be sure to go outside at the back for cool garden stuff. This whole place is like a treasure hunt-so happy hunting!
Tom Miller
I always like going into this place as they have such a wide variety of items which is so wonderful. Nice assortment of citrus crates to lumber as well as all sorts of signs and items for yesteryear. I would suggest to take a camera and spend some time exploring there as I usually spend no less than 30 minutes when just walking thru the place. If you don't see it ask as so much os stored everywhere.
Ryan Suttles
A very large selection, and very friendly staff. Parking was tedious and a bit difficult, and the prices were extremely high for items that could easily be found at other antique dealers for a much more reasonable rate. I suppose if you were looking for something extremely specific and you were willing to pay a premium to acquire that item this would be your place; however, if you’re just browsing this store might turn you off antiques for a while.
Alex Brown
Amazing place! Fair prices that made me want to buy everything. Friendly and helpful staff. Something we really wanted had no price and she very quickly got in touch with the owner of the booth, got a price and also offered a discount for using cash. We will definitely be back!
Jeff Jones
Not big on shopping but I stayed in there for almost 3 hours. Fantastic place to find anything you could want. If it ain't there they don't make it....
Wm Hardin
The place is not set up to do business with traveling guests. Better carry wads of cash or the check book. Good thing we wear masks. It will protect you from the dust. And there is plenty of it. A LOT of junk, but there are some nice pieces to be found. A measly 10% discount at the register applies ONLY IF you pay with checks (who writes those any more?) or cash. (What out of town traveler carries cash in any large quantity any more?) In South Florida, NO antique establishment would accept a check. Eventually fraud will creep up to Asheville and this policy will change. Credit cards are the rule. So, good-by discounts unless you carry the old 1970s check book. This place wants to pass the cost of credit on to YOU. I guess in that big barn, the overhead is too high to accept credit cards as the cost of doing business.
K Turner
Huge. Not a luxurious place to shop but fun. Very self serve. Lots to look at. Can spend a couple of hours here easy. Prices were fair, and you can make offers on higher priced items. Will definitely go back next time in town. They provide big wheeled carts for you to shop with. Lots of large items. Architectural pieces. Only downside is you have to watch out for repros - especially among signs, and some artsy crafted pieces that are newly made.
Hanna Zamora
I was super bummed we didn't find anything when we visited. I understand they are antiques but the prices were very high. A couple vendors has reasonable pricing which was nice to see but of course we didn't need any of their pieces. There are some cool things here but just don't be expecting to find a deal because you won't.
Christopher Hale
Such a cool place!
K Patterson
I love this place! I moved here and needed ideas and "stuff" for my place. I spent hours wandering and enjoyed every minute of it. It is a hidden treasure. The staff is super nice too. I highly recommend checking it out.
Mystic Mirror
I love this place! I rarely leave with empty hands. The vendors are frequently here on the weekends and they are always so nice.
Cheryl T.
Nice place. Had a great time.
Shadow & Light Photography
My husband and I visited this weekend, and while they have a lot, items are very overpriced, even for trivial, easy to find everyday items. As compared to the stock they had 3 years ago, stock this visit was very Mehh...Unless you are looking for something very specific and money is not much of an object, you definitely won't get a deal here, expect to overpay.
Christin H
We always enjoy a trip here whenever we’re in the Asheville area. So many good antiques and reasonably priced.
Erika H.
What a huge place! I was not prepared for the vast amount of antiques under one roof. They have a bathroom and coffee stand inside. They have some very special pieces and a lot of imports. Come with cash if you want to make a deal!
C L
Full of unique items. Prices are mainly on the high end, so bring a heavy wallet. I did find some good priced items from some vendors. Enjoyed first trip out and will come back.
Matthias Freihube
This is our second visit, plenty to search through. If anyone has a good selection, it's the tobacco barn!! You never know what you might find. My wife found some old glass ware she wanted.
Beverly Frank
Great selection of just about anything. It changes frequently, so if you don't find it on one visit, you probably will on another visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Prices are fairly decent as well. We love checking it out every time we're in Asheville.
Patrick Fox
Great place to shop for antiques, furniture and nick knacks. It is huge. Plan to spend a couple hours because there is so much stuff packed into the stalls that it can become overwhelming. There is also section for reclaimed wood for sale in back.
Raysha Ferguson
Loved this place. It is huge. We got there 15 minutes before they closed, so we really didn't get to explore as much as we wanted. Can't wait to go back when we can spend more time there.
Winchester Stewart
It was absolutely freezing the day we went so it was hard to take the time needed to see everything this place had to offer. Its a huge barn cluttered with everything from stop lights, to dresses, to tables and toys. Make sure you are able to spend a whole day because there is too much to see!
Steve Greenleaf
What a place. It looks like it's under new management during our last visit. Seems more lively and organized. Can order beverages right as you walk in, and enjoy them as you wonder through all the pace has to offer.
You can definitely get lost for awhile in the place. Parking is still busy, but better now that there's additional parking across the street (same side of Swanannoa Rd). Prices are all over the place, so you can still find some deals here and there.
Daniel Fishel
Large space filled with an eclectic mix of wares, treasures, antiques, and collectable. Prices are all over the place and can vary greatly from booth to booth. Be sure to dress for the weather, the space is enclosed, but not temperature controlled.
Judy Horton
Such a huge place. Wear comfortable shoes and plan to stay awhile to you can see everything. What a treat to walk down each aisle. Everything from large tables to small kick knacks. Truly a must see! They take credit and debit cards.
Sean Peterson
I had a great experience haggling over prices here. Just kidding. Kind of. Doug was very eager to assist me in settling on a price with one of the vendors. All the staff were helpful. When I came with a truck to pick up the items I bought, they made sure to have plenty of employees present to help load the heavy items which made it all very smooth. Thank you all!
Joseph Walker
Great place, it is full of great things from the past.
Prices are a little high.
amy E
Absolutely love coming here.. Thinking about large furniture purchase.. Omg.. I love antiquing
A Phillips
Huge Shopping Mall where Designers and Home Fashionistas Shop!
(This Unique place has something for everyone.) Much Lower Prices than other Antique & Regular Retail stores. Many items are one of a kind. I could tell the Sellers work really hard to provide these Special Items!
Ryan Cooper
This place has so much stuff. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to see it all, and bring a truck you will need it haul all the great stuff home. If you go in the winter make sure you bundle up its not heated inside. I’m from Florida and we froze to death while walking around 😜 but it was worth it. …
Jeff D
awesome place to spend a few hours browsing all the neat stuff. almost everything there is way overpriced! seems to be so many "hippies" with disposable income in asheville , they get away with the high prices. we have occasionally seen some reasonably priced stuff on a few visits. the selection of items is HUGE.
Pippin
Fantastic inventory. Exploring requires days and more, which is an adventure in itself. Have made numerous purchases, including both new and antique furniture, to furnish newly purchased home. Could kick myself for not purchasing a book of sketches drawn by legendary actor Lionel Barrymore (aka Mr. Potter in It's A Wonderful Life) for a mere $25, valued at $500+ according to Google. Indicative of hidden treasures throughout shop. Staff is terrific, always willing to assist. One of our favorite antique shops in Asheville.
Michael Stewart
Huge space, and definitely the largest antiques shop I've ever visited. But it's about what you'd expect from a "destination" antiques shop; the vendors know the value of their stuff and good deals are a bit harder to come by. Still, a solid variety of furniture and odds and ends. Linger long enough and you'll find something cool. Maybe even something you can afford ;)
Jake Merrill
We visit this place nearly every time we're in Asheville. It has TONS of stuff. We always enjoy combing through to see what we see. If you're interested in Vintage and antique furniture, this might be your spot. They also have an outdoor lot with a bunch of reclaimed wood beams, etc. Pretty neat place if you like antique stores. Worth a visit. It can get hot in there in the summer.
Elmer J White Boxer Antics
Love this place! Make sure you block out enough time to check out everything because it is huge! Good place for rough around the edge pieces and pieces ready to go in your home. We would definitely go again.
Debra Penne
Awesome this is one of the BEST Antique venues I have ever been to. Dont miss this if you like unique stuff for eith building or decorating your home.
Gail Doran
Big, filled with unique items...some vintage, some antique, some reproduction. Have fun and enjoy it all. Came home with all three and love them all. Great way to fill a rainy afternoon in Asheville.
AJ Martin
Really awesome stuff. Really dusty so I couldn't stay very long because of my allergies, but there's some really awesome meat rare finds in here. A little pricey but worth it
M.D. Greenleaf
What a great place to just wander around and find a hidden gem you didn't even know you needed! It's a large open easy to manuever space full of everything from furniture to nuts & bolts, old and new. Lots of parking out back. If you go on a chilly day, bundle up, it's a little chilly in there.
Maria
A little over priced but vendors on the floor are willing to make deals with you. However, so many unique one of a kind things.... Pickers delight! Glad I stopped here on my trip to Asheville, NC. 👍👍☺ …
Jennifer Mahaffey
Wanted to update my negative review but it seems you can't make changes. Cameran handled our issue beautifully and empathetically. I'm so pleased with how she responded once we finally connected. Thank you ATB for the customer service in response to our linen press. We will be back.
Debra Miller
Went there about a week ago...enjoyed it...took a picture of an item to show my daughter, and when I got home, she was sorry that I did not get it. Called the place and asked if I could send the picture and I knew exactly where the item was, pretty much out in the open...and a large item...hard to miss..wanted to find out if it could be shipped to me...spoke to jennifer I think...she said without a tag, she would not be able to find the item...told me it wasn't even worth sending the picture...all I'm thinking is I could have sent the picture, and would have waited to see if they came across it...all she kept telling me that it was a 70,000 square feet place...I know it was big, I was there...I felt at least they could have tried...kind of disappointed....wanted to add this to my review....jennifer called me after going crazy looking for my phone number...she apologized up and down, and let me send the picture, and was able to find out the item sold, but looking to see if she can find another....so I am a happy camper...thanks, jenny.
Christopher Burton (Chris)
The amount of stuff the Antique Tobacco Barn offers is next to nothing. I honestly never have any idea what I’m going to stumble across but I always leave with some new little treasure. Let me not forget the staff! Always so helpful and informative on all the booths and practically everything they contain. I always look forward to going back every time I’m In Asheville.
Kate’O
This place is HUGE and a great place to walk through to look at all sorts of neat and interesting things. Definitely very cold in there during the winter, so bundle up! I really enjoyed this place, but I can't give it a complete full 5 star rating. As seen in other posts about this place, you will find that there are a lot of replications of "antiques." A lot of things here are labeled as antique, but if you look closely, there's a "made in china" sticker or tag somewhere. I looked at a "antique tobacco basket" for $120, but they forgot to clip the plastic tag off stating that it was made in China. However, despite that, there are a some true antiques and statement pieces here. Just be very careful. This place seems a little pricy too. Especially for things that are actually replicas. Every now and then you can find a true gem for a great price as my husband and I did.
Kurt Beyer
This place is massive. Come to find a nice antique kitchen set, or if that doesn't float your boat they have a ton of scary old dolls hidden throughout the store. They're most likely cursed.
Awesome place, highly recommend checking it out.
Rachel Whitby
Really fun to Walk around. (Although don't go on a cold day they only have one heater in the entire place!) But everything should be about 50% less in cost. Very overpriced in my opinion.
Bobbie Bowen
I like their inventory but no a/c precludes me shopping there during hot weather. I like that they offer a very wide selection of items and seem to be competitively priced for the most part.
Deborah Baird
If you love antiques this is a great place to visit when in the Ashville area. Plenty of room to browse.
Allen Gottfried
Huge place with many vendors and a wide-range of items for sure. However most of the prices were just laughable on many of the thing we looked at especially when comparing to other antique shops. Unless looking for something really in particular would not return but others may want to give it a try to find something special and unique.. just know you are going to pay for it.
Michelle Veil
This place is huge! We loved browsing! I found a great quilt. Prices are a little steep but great a variety. Layout is great too. Staff is helpful too.
Joel Spears
Great place, but aisles are too packed to walk through. Would be impossible for the disabled. There's also NO heat in winter, which no doubt affects the merchandise. But it is a fun place to peruse.
Dolly Guadalupe
My boyfriend and I went after lunch today. A lot of neat, unusual stuff! We found a great selection of cookbooks, which is something I go for at antique stores. Also, having a barista stand at the entrance is a fabulous idea!
Tyler - Kargoth05 TTV
This place is huge. One of the largest antique shops I've been to. Tons and tons of furnishings and very ornate. The only downside is that this place is filled with literal junk. The prices were extremely high. I been to many antique stores and this one is by far the highest prices I've seen. Also be careful and not get sucked into those fake antique items. They are actually purchased whole sale and people sell them as antiques and they pump that price up. This place was filled with those items.
Izi Blumer
Found vintage ball jars for my wedding! Nice price and tons of cool old items too lust over! If only I had 500 to drop in there it would be gone in a second! A must see if your in the area.
Michael Beckler
This place is AWESOME! First off, it's huge! Secondly, it's not a single market, it's more like a consignment shop for antiques with various booths. Each booth has it's own feel and variety or speciality, but lots of just cool, old stuff. Unfortunately, we were only in town for the day, but we probably could of spent hours in here looking at all the neat antiques.
Cindy Vanlue
Easy parking and good variety of items. Enjoyed the old doors and stained lead glass. Bought some nautical glass balls with the road that you hang. Fair priced..
Indy
Coolest antique store ive been in in a while. You can go just to get ypur steps in...the place is HUGE. go with money- guaranteed to find something you want to leave with.
Aaron Weintraub
Awesome! So many antiques wish I could afford to buy more!
Don Weber
Awesome place to find old items from back in the day and also newer items on consignment. Two large to walk through in just an hour. You will need at least 2 hours, at the most.
Michael Mahoney
Great place to find antique furniture, interesting decor, and whimsical discussion pieces. Inventory is constantly changing so there is always something new to discover. A little tip, prices are often negotiable, especially when paying with cash!
Katherine Jacques
Excellent place to shop and find unique items from all over the globe from Mid Century Modern-(check out the booth called STASH) to pieces from the 1800's. Some of the booths are super crowded but underneath all that stuff are some great deals!! And I agree, who expects A/C in a barn anyway? It can be overwhelming because it is so large, but this means they can cater to all kinds of taste, from primitive to very fancy! Love them.
Nathan Slaughter
Absolutely love this place. They have so much on the shelves it took over 2 hours to walk through. Good prices and friendly staff.
mary notz
This place is amazing! Be prepared to spend a couple of hours just browsing. There is something for everyone
Jessica Leslie
Ask for Blake! He’s the best. I’ve been frequenting Antique Tobacco Barn for almost 10 years now. It’s a fantastic place to get lost in and you can find some really wonderful things. I’ve purchased several pieces over the years that continue to make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Each stall has its own personality and I love that. It have gotten more expensive over the years, but honestly, everything in Asheville has. You can occasionally find a really good deal and they will entertain lower offers. You don’t necessarily go here for a bargain, but rather a special piece to grace your home, salvaged materials for a project, or just a nice way to spend an hour looking at cool stuff!
Chip Andre
It's big and has a ton of stuff to look through, but it's mostly overpriced hipster-bait.
Tina D
So much stuff here! I think it was there last year as well. It's a nice place to spend a rainy day. The staff aren't especially friendly but they can generally point you in a certain direction.
Lisa Tally
This place has EVERYTHING! It's a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. If you're looking for antiques or just curiosities- you need to come here!
AJ Fernandez
Well set up “antique” shop, whatever you’re looking for, they probably have it, but the prices are laughable. I like the coffee bar set up they have right when you walk in, multiple parking lots, but can still be hectic.
Only complaint is they allow sellers to sell reproductions, which are obviously not antiques, but seem like they want the antique price for them.
Brian McMahan
Amazing, this place is huge. There is something for everyone. You can find it here most definitely.
Kristie Corn
Prices were high. They had a lot to look through. It will easily take an hour to go through the place. The floors are uneven in places so watch your step.
Jess
COLD COLD COLD...They had the large roll-up doors open on both ends of the building, so it was like a wind tunnel in there...we could only stand to peruse about 1/3 of one side...perhaps another visit in warmer weather, but definitely had some cool old stuff. I'll note too that, compared to other antique malls in the immediate area, their prices seem substantially higher.
Melanie Hershberger
TEN STARS...Because five stars doesn't do the Antique Tobacco Barn justice! Be prepared to spend at least half of a day finding hidden treasures from the past! Love, love, LOVE!!!
Holly Rhyder
Love this place, my mom, sister, and I take a girls trip here every few months and can spend hours endlessly wandering the aisles because there is so much to look at. Since it is a consignment based store some vendors are cheaper than others but overall prices are reasonable considering it's in Ashville.
David Benton
Lots of great stuff and ideas. Prices are good. Great customer service. Nice location
Eli B
Great store with lots of finds from junky to upscale, but fairly well organized. Lots of reproductions are scattered between several stores. However, there are other stores that more than make up for it. If you love antiques, or are looking for a particular piece, bring your truck and your wallet, because you'll probably find something here. We were on vacation, so I didn't pick up much since the car was already packed. We will be back!
Jerry Smith
Great selection of antiques and collectibles in one place. It's so big, it is difficult to see it all in one trip. Prices seem moderate.
Les Brooks
Nice store, you can find good values if you take time and look.
Heather Dalka
They have so much variety here! If you’re looking for something specific, I’m sure they have it. If your going just to browse and find something spontaneous, you won’t be disappointed. Everyone who works here is helpful and friendly. It was hard to leave!
Tiny Scott
Very friendly, and they have tons of stuff to look at, need several hours to see it all, very interesting.
H. John Herzog
A renovators dream store! Everything you want from live edge boards to lighting to windows...furniture...outdoor decore... A huge variety of everything! Plan on a few hours of browsing so you don't anything😃 …
Mike C
Very cool place! I could get lost in there for hours!
Dean Bursic
This place is overwhelming. It's so big. It's got so many things. I don't even know where to begin but will just say to bring a trailer and good luck parking.
Margaret Berghello
This place is very large and a little overwhelming...but I liked it!!! Not if, but when you go, give yourself at least 2 hours to get through the place!! Best description I have come up with: it looks as though Joanna Gains threw up her farm house design's everywhere and they mixed it up with reasonably priced antique/mid century furniture! Personally, I am kinda sick of that look but most everyone else seems to love it so what do I know?! I only gave it 4 stars because I was a little dissapointed that there weren't very many smaller antique/collectable items; most of them were reproductions. Those are what I mostly antique shop for now days since I have a fully decorated and furnished house. However, if you are looking for furniture and larger items (old doors, windows, stain glass, statues, etc.) this is the place to go!!!
Ross Bower
Amazing spot. So much to look at and sift through. Really a cool place to walk around and find a little bit of everything
Donna Criswell
Mainly a glorified garbage dump - I'm sure you can find a few things in this very large co-op(we don't all look for the same stuff). Plenty of fans, plenty of vendor booths to explore, parking across the street but still challenging. We haven't visited this one in over 20yrs & hopefully won't for another 20yrs...
Boone Dog
In my opinion, this is the best "Antique Barn" in the South! Upon your arrival, you will be uncertain as to where to enter, but don't be confused, just go in wherever you see an opening. There are a couple of ways to enter into this building. When you enter, you will feel like you stepped back in time. Stop for a moment as you enter to smell history. The smell alone will take you back a hundred years or more. In this magical antique barn, you will discover many treasures. Take your time to look around. It will take you at least two hours to fully experience this amazing place. At first you may just go to the "Antique Tobacco Barn" to look around, but then as you wander, there will be certain antiques that will speak to you, by calling your name to bring it home with you. These antiques will even tell you where they want to be placed in your home or yard.
Seriously, this place is magical! It will take you back to yesteryear, to a simpler, relaxing, less hurried time period. Many of you will be touched emotionally, because it will bring back such warm memories of your youth.
The staff are friendly, the prices are fair and the antiques are genuine and often rare finds. Please be careful what you pick up, because like most old barns, you could very well pick up a rare black widow spider. Just remember to be careful and observant and you will be fine. Hey, its an old building with antiques that are of all ages, some even 100 years or more old. I assure you that if you want to time travel and you enjoy antiques, you will want to spend a part of your leisure, shopping at the Antique Tobacco Barn. Enjoy!
Zoe' Stokes
It was fun just looking around, however many of the booths had priced most of the items much higher than what they typically are sold for. I guess in a touristy area that can be expected, but I would venture to say that is why many items had been marked down (still a little pricey) and had heavy layers of dust.
Abram Pleta
Great mix of antiques. Any style you want and any size item. Small tools, to tables, doors and today even had a vintage wood boat. The outside temperature is the inside temperature, so dress accordingly.
Pamela Stroud
This place is crazy huge and very enjoyable to look at the myriad of things. If you are looking for true antiques it might be a bit of a disappointment, on closer inspection there are some items sold here that are modern but made to look old. But I still had a great time looking and found some unique items.
Jackie Silva
The place is awesome only wish we could have seen more of it, with the temperature outside being 28 degrees it was miserably cold inside and their pipes froze so you couldn’t use their restroom so we left. We definitely will come back when the temperature is better.
Bill Osowski
Great selection of vintage and antique goodies here, from huge bars and architectural items to ephemera. Keep in mind that there's no heat in this gigantic building.
Kelly Dale
This is by far one of the best antique stores I've ever been to. This is a great place to go if your looking for larger antique furniture or really interesting pieces. Be sure to have plenty of time to browse because this place is very large.
Shane Ostrowski
Amazing quality and quantity of antiques. This place is huge and prices are also very reasonable compared to Ohio. Can't wait to come back!
Brad Boyer
Imagine a vast, open air warehouse with large industrial fans, filled from one end to the other with furniture, books, decorative items, antique tools, signs, everything you can remember finding at your grandparents house. The prices are reasonable relative to other antique places I've been, and the selection is mind blowing. Plan on spending a couple hours. Also, they have some salvaged building materials in the back.
Angie Daniel
This place is enormous and has just about everything! You could literally spend a whole day! Loved my visit and can't wait to go back!
Charlotte Phillips
The Antique Tobacco Barn is the best place for a good variety of antiques that haven't been stripped & painted to sell. Nice mix of large furniture, indoor/outdoor items & some smalls, but not too many. The folks that work there were very friendly & helpful.
Chad Gregg
Large place with a lot to choose from.
Don Pratt
Large with lots of vendors, but a bit less than impressed. Not a big diversity of antiques, lots of hand made non-antiques and salvage.
VHD
Huge and I mean big antique shop. It's basically a warehouse full of antiques. Prices range from reasonable to upscale, I guess so that it can accommodate all shoppers. Personally didn't really see anything of interest. Seemed like all the good picks have been found. I guess if you stay there long enough you'll end up finding something though.

Loved Everything! Walked in, turned left and shopped the entire Barn! Lol.They have absolutely great unique items and I found several things for my "Downton Abbey" Christmas!
Jared Jones
Antique sensory overload! If they had a place to eat in here I could spend days looking. Only drawback was new items made to look old mixed in with the antiques. However the mass amount of varying items was on a whole nother level! Definitely recommend stopping here if you like antiques, looking for unique architectural items for redoing a house. Go, seek, find.
Sherwood Hill
Wonderful place for antiquing...something for everyone...unfortunately the staff was not accomodating when asked to contact a dealer for additional information on a piece that we purchased ($95.00) stating that it's against store policy because the item was under $100....have been going to antique malls for the past 30 years and have never incountered such a situation.
K Edwards
Huge warehouse with tons of antiques, plan to spend some time here. Not air conditioned.
Evangeline g
So much selection of fun and interesting things. Could spend hours here. Very friendly staff. Some deals, but a whole lot of overpriced stuff.
Joe Dipasquale
Great place to spend some time on a rainy day. Old and some new antiques 🤔great place to look at some cool things. …
Burt Leiman
Lots and lots of cool stuff. But it DOES take work to find something, if you've got a specific thing in mind. (Front desk staff can be very helpful here). And some rustic/antique looking things may not be authentic. That is, they're made to appear old.
Blue MountainCur
Well WNC ain't the same, but, you can go home with a piece of it(or other historical locales). If you're in town, stop by and take a look at this! There's something for everyone! This place should be on the tourist bus tour route, right up there with the Biltmore 'n Pack Square! Take home a real souvenir of Asheville! Chirp, chirp.
Jane Lapointe
Fun place with lots of interesting things to look at for reasonable, and sometimes downright cheap, prices.
Lucy
I absolutely love this place! There are so many items choose from, it's like a treasure hunt. It's the perfect one-stop-shop for antiques!
Jane Rothenberger
Lots of cool, unusual items to find. Hugh selection of just about anything you can imagine. Not cheap.
Lybri
I like antiquing as much as the next person, but somehow I just get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of things to look at. Probably a "me" problem, but other than that this is a pretty good place to go if you're into things from yesteryear.
Old Hickory Forge
Lots of cool stuff. Some is overpriced but the staff are very helpful and will gladly contact an item owner to negotiate a price. Also they will give you a discount for paying with cash.
Francis Iannucci
I went here two days in a row. I could have spent a week. Wide ranging varieties of antiques at very reasonable prices. A must see if you are in the area.
Amy Fidis
Always have interesting items and new stuff comes in all the time. I have fun just going in to look around, even if I'm not buying anything!
Pamela Blatter
Amazing place to visit - you need all day (and then some) in order to see everything. If you are looking for something, I'm sure they've got at least one of them there.
Stacee McCarter
I didn't get to spend a lot of time there, but it looks like it has anything a person may be looking for. A lot of stained glass windows, furniture, etc. I will definitely visit again when I have more time to look around.
stephen homer
Huge place, plan to spend a decent amount of time hunting around here (and dress warm if it's cold, there's no heat) but the prices seem quite high compared to other similar places around town. Still, it's a nice place to get lost in
Jeff Lewis
Very large store with wide variety of items. Found several items with reasonable prices. Fun place to shop. Could spend many hours here.
Natalie Padgett
A little bit of everything for everybody including building materials. Staff friendly and helpful. If you're into antiques have plenty of time and money. I spent 3 hours and more money than I care to admit.
Elizabeth Mathews
Wasn't my favorite antique place I've been too. I get excited when I see a big antique store but this was really big and really cluttered. I didn't find a single thing I wanted to purchase. I will say, if you're a crafty person or like flipping, you'll have a hay day.
Ellen Smith
Antique Tobacco Barn is awesome. We got there too late to really look around. It seems to have everything! Looking forward to going and spending more time there searching out Treasures!
Cricket Werkheiser
Lots of things to look at. It's colder inside than it is outside so be sure and get a hot chocolate as you enter.
Rusty Rouse
There was a little bit of everything there, amazing, one of a kind pieces! Staff was friendly (even though it was time to close), they were very nice! Will definitely be going back to the antique tobacco barn!
Karen Teffenhart
My FAVORITE place to spend time hunting for treasures, home decorating, entertaining visitors, and just fun wandering about. Highly recommended.
Danielle Gardner
Such a huge selection. I could've spent a while day exploring all their finds. Decent pricing. Prepare to get your pants and/or shoes a bit dirty though.
lee silas
This place had so much stuff from all over. Some of it was way over priced, but there was a lot of one offs you will not find anywhere else.
Michael Fisher
Huge barn full of antiques and other products
Jessi Hurst
Excellent selection of antiques of every style, in every state of repair, and for every price point. If you're looking to find niche pieces to fill a funky space, this is one of the places you should go.
jay shray
Huge selection of antiques!
Josh Flask
Massive amount of stuff, I could spend hours in here and still not see everything. Great place to spend some time just looking through all the different things.
Deon Bailey
You have to walk through this place 100 times slow just to get a taste of the amazing things in this place. I could shop here every day.
C. John Mason
This is a destination site for anyone visiting Asheville. There's nothing else quite like it. Ranging from the exquisite to the trashy, you'll probably find something that you're interested in.
Jordan “Elmerstudd007” Pfluger
There is so much here its easy to get lost and the prices are not bad at all, I highly suggest visiting if you enjoy antiquing or thrift stores.
Leela T.
Adore this place. I like to go on weekdays best because the weekend is usually really busy. It's a massive place and you could send ages just walking around looking at everything.
Steve Browning
We visit this place on every trip to Asheville. This visit had less salvage items than usual but still a massive place. Parking is a little tough on the weekend so get there early or park across the street.
Mechelle Renee Vaisey
this place is absolutely made my day! There was so much to see I wish I had brought a trailer with me to bring so many fines down to Florida. But I will be back with that trailer!
Helene Newman
I love the Antique Tobacco Barn. We have a second home not too far away in Franklin. I never come up to NC without making a trip to Asheville specifically to the Barn. Half the furniture in my living room and master bedroom I bought there over the last 17 years. I love spending all afternoon walking thru all the booths. And believe me...you need all afternoon. They have such unique things there. It's like entering a time machine...mixed in with some new items.
I saw others complaining on here about the prices or the lack of a/c or heat. First, I have always felt their prices were more than fair for the quality of the merchandise I have purchased. Secondly, I don't expect to come to a BARN and have a/c and heat. There are fans going in the summer. And heaters in the winter. Just dress appropriately.
The only problem I have now, is that I literally have no more room in my homes for even one more piece of furniture. But that won't keep me from going there during the Xmas Holidays. Wouldn't miss it for the world. After all...you never know, do you?

Wonderful stuff. Great coffee bar. Just be prepared that it is not very warm during the cold months. Minimal heating.
P Bates
Good things to see and find. Lots to look at. Go there with your own coffee though. Lots of wood out back for your at home projects
Kimberely Rank
I love it!!! It was too cold to experience it all but I will be back
Happily Harringtons
We were here several months back - it was our first visit- TONS of awesome stuff.. You could spend a full day in here looking. Hope to go back soon!
Ralph Freeman
Love this place. You can easily spend a few hours here looking at stuff and getting ideas. You can even find a few bargains if you look hard enough.
Rosemary Percival
Too much going on and not enough staff
Karl Leibensperger
About 70-30 on real antiques and kitsch. The place is huge and the variety vast which made for a couple good hours of browsing.
Ken KAREGEANNES
It's a giant building full of old stuff. You decide if it's an antique or just old stuff. Great way to spend a few hours picking. We visit it every trip to Asheville and we visit a lot.
Christopher Androw
Very cool and plenty of choices. Building is well laid out, everything is priced, and clean. Well worth a couple trips.
Lea Jackson
Really cool , large barn full of old and some newer stuff.. decent prices
Joseph Hedrick
Loved this place but don't go if you don't have a few hours to spend in this 77,000 square foot warehouse of antique gold.
Andrea S
You could spend hours looking at everything!! We enjoyed!
Bea Bear
On a long weekend trip we decided to hit at many antique stores as possible while in Asheville, this being at the top of our list. I was very disappointed . Yes the place is very big lots of booths, you could spend a entire afternoon just visiting each booth. My only issue with this place is the prices were totally out of line . We antique shop all the time all over the country, being in Asheville ( tourist trap ) I expected prices to be a bit higher. I did not expect them to be triple a fair price. One piece which was not a antique I had found at several stores DT and at the Biltmore for 58.00 $ Well at the TB this same piece was 90.00 , booth after booth like this , Prices totally out of line. We left after that heads hanging , feelings hurt. . If money is not a issue and you just need to burn a afternoon this is a GREATplace. If you are looking for good antiques at FAIR prices I wish you luck. Also management there was less then helpful.
Deborah Kinton
Lots of walking and enjoying.
Luann Manseau (Beauty By Luann)
Love this place! Make sure you have at least 3 hours to spend here!
harry saake
Lot of old primitive furniture, lot of old tools , parts ,hardware, lacking any amount of porcelain or bisque items, great for people who want to repurpose furniture
Jeremie Purdy
So cool! I need to rent a uhaul for next time I go.
Rick Mabe
There's always something interesting to find.
Katherine Sitler
Lots of cool finds. Huge place.

Anita Kaschak
Unique pieces and fair prices. Very helpful and informative answers to any questions I had. I'm local and I enjoy taking others here when they visit.
Todd Crawford
Cool place lots of big stuff, Not much Smalls. Would recommend to at least go to and look around if you're in the area
David King
There is some really cool things but so overpriced and very expensive.
Andrew Kyser
Its your standard antique co-op. Lots of stuff. Lots of it tends to be overpriced and you cant negotiate because the owners of the items arent there.
That said, if you arent worried about how much you are spending on that hard to find item, its worth the look.
Cindy Wentzel
What a great discovery! Fun shopping!! Summer it is warm in there, winter it's a bit cold. But spring and fall PERFECT!! Have fun!!
Dries Debecker
It’s nice they have a lot of cool stuff. Some of them feel not so antique but with the price of antiques.
alecia saltzman
You could spend days and not see everything. Well worth the stop. We will visit again.
Shana McCurry
Neat place to browse.i could've spent all day looking around in here! IMO, Most things seemed overpriced to me. But if you're looking for rare finds, be sure to look here.

sharon libnoch
It's a pretty cool place it's very large the parking is impossible there used to be a great variety of things now there are many things that are the same unless you're looking at large Furniture it is a great place to spend a rainy day you just might find a hidden gem.
Tina Torongeau
Love this place! We got there with only about an hour till closing so we'll definitely be planning a trip to go back.
Helena Svoboda
Fabulous place. I loved it. So much to see. Great stop and will go back. Prices were good too.
Leslie Prohaska (ZonCom)
Fun to look around, but some booths are so hard to navigate and when you did find something it was grossly overpriced. Its a good rainy day activity though.
Phillip Addison
Very unique place with a ton of stuff. Unfortunately everything is not as it appears to be... items claiming to be old pieces are distressed to appear old. The 5% surcharge for using a credit or debit card is ridiculous.
William Sweeney
Huge. Lots of furniture objects d art and vintage building materials. Excellent espresso bar too. Don't find those at antique stores often.
April Fine
Beautiful things just a bit over priced. Fun finds, interesting items and a way to while away an afternoon.
Claudia O'Leary (Mrs.O)
Great place! Interesting stuff, beware, a lot of repos. But still fun, can find a few deals.
Craig McDonald
100,000 things to buy. colossal. mammoth.
Darrell Edmondson
Staff were nice and it was a pleasant experience, walking through a barn filled with antiques, furnishing, and rare/random finds. Nostalgic at its best.
matthew cline
Lots of stuff mostly not antique just old. You can spend an hour easily walking through. Not very many good deals you will have to pay top price .
Chris H.
Friendly helpful staff. It seems nicer than I remember, in that it has lots of stuff, something for everyone. Many vendors offer a cash discount.
Devon Bludworth
Really cool store, however extremely over priced. With the exception of some actual antiques, most of the furniture is just antique looking with an antique price tag. Won't be back, unless I win the lottery. :)
E Scott Parks
Huge, old tobacco warehouse now housing antiques. Too much stuff and not organized.
There are better priced and more organized antique stores on the same stretch of road.
JoAnne McNIff
HUGE! If you go when it cold bundle up, I found one small heater in the ceiling.
Fun place to walk around if your in the market for a particular piece, you hace a good chance of finding it here.
Renee Hogan
Absolutely LOVE to visit here looking for hidden treasures! Very relaxed atmosphere and staff is really friendly and helpful and never make you feel pressured.

A very large variety of stuff. Most a little higher price than I would pay, but I live a few states away. Might be good for some of the hard to find vintage items.
Jennifer Nehlsen

Bob Talley
