This is THE coolest park ever! I wish i had this park as a kid! There’s an AMAZING little kid park with a soft surface and big kid park and SWINGS! There’s so few parks in the city with swings - but there’s three kinds here. Also a big field with workout equipment, tennis court, basketball court, and the pool!

Awesome pool. Good mix of adults and families come here but I have always been able to find a chair even at peak times. Much prefer it to Banneker. Street parking can be annoying but it’s usually not too bad.

Went on a Sunday to use their outdoor pool. They had 4 lanes for lap swimming and general area. It was nice. Lots of chairs to lounge on and a mixed crowd of families, young adults, and teens. Only suggestion: if there could be a swimsuit spinner in the locker room. I couldn’t see one readily available.

I took my oldest son to football practice there while I let my two toddlers play on the playground. I loved the playground! the playgrounds are separated, so u have a little kids one and a big kids one. they have a swing set in the middle...with both baby swings and regular swings. They have a tennis and basketball court. I believe also a rec center. there was some litter on the playground but it wasnt trifling. I've seen worse. Parking is VERY competitive. overall, it's a great lil playground. we will be back!

DC parks Rock! Sadly the beautiful pool is only open on weekends until the end of June, but it's a great park. Playgrounds for different age groups. Basketball. Big grassy field. Nicely maintained.

Beautiful pool with draconian rules. They close the pool for “adult swim” even when there are no child-free adults here. Instead of opening the kiddie pool at that time they keep it closed for no good reason. I have no idea what triggered the end-of-fun whistle but I hope it doesn’t happen to you if you come here with kids.

Best playground of all I went to with my 2 kids. Very spacious and a lot to explore. Swings for every age.

Nice pool, big swim area for bigger kids, ages 7 and up. Nice kiddie pool for toddlers. Shade is available. Icky bathrooms. Diving board is gone and lifeguards often won't allow people to swim in the deep end. Clean deck. Not crowded most of the time. Families, lower key pool.

The playground areas are great. The little kid playground area is not shaded, but the rest are. The gardens surrounding the park are all over run with weeds. Too bad, cause I bet they were gorgeous when the park was new. Pool odd only open weekdays and Saturdays after 12.

This is great playground for small and big kids! You can also go for a jog around it. Definitely a great spot to go with kids or even by yourself.

Great neighborhood pool! Pool is kept clean and is never crowded during the week. Guards are friendly and attentive. Grab a chaise early on weekends, though because this neighborhood secret is out.

Great pool, never too crowded, what more can you ask for!? Also, no hassle getting in. Not sure if this is always, but I forgot my ID, and they didn't give me the run around. Very nice staff!

Everyone who works at the pool is so nice! We've been several times this summer already and nothing but great experiences. Great people, great place, great time. My favorite DC outdoor pool!!

Harry Thomas Recreation Center features many engaging amenities, programs and water activities for all ages. This park features opens fields, courts and paved pathways for outdoor activities such as walking, biking, skating, jogging, strolling, soccer and baseball. Also, this park features large community pool.

Staff is great and the kids pool is normally not crowded not till around 5-6 pm anyway by then the kids and I are on our way out

Really nice, shaded new playground. Also has a community garden, tennis and basketball courts, and a pool that doesn't look like it's been used for a while.

I use the swimming pool at this Recreation Center inmates very clean and well-kept and I'd appreciate the park and swimming pool and Recreation Center and I'm driving I'll preach to the city of Washington for having it there
