Reviews of Verona Beach State Park
Vanessa Bright, LAc LP
Beautiful park, very well maintained with lots to do. Tons of picnic tables, grills, walkways, and more. Small beach with lifeguards. Only $7 for the day, and free in the evenings. The sunset is unforgettable over the water!

This is my favorite place to take my kids when I don't feel like doing multiple activities or going to multiple locations in one day - you can get there and pick a nice spot that gives you a view of the beach, the splash pad and bath house and the kids can be free to frolick and play for hours while their battle worn caregiver(s) relax in the shade or join in on the fun. It is well worth the $7 all-day fee but we like going after 5pm on weekdays or 6pm weekends because it's free, less crowded - the beach is open until 7pm and the splash pad is running until 8pm so plenty of time to enjoy the cooler part of the day without commiting to spending too many hours there (sorry kids it's closing we have to leave! Lol). Nice paved trails, decent sized sandy beach plus several playgrounds and covered pavilions make it the perfect spot to get together with friends and family and great for any party or event. Dogs on a leash are welcome which is great for pet owners to let our furry companions join in on the fun and fresh air. Grills and picnic tables all over make having lunch or dinner El fresco a walk in the park!

Beautiful park. Extremely well kept. Campground sites are very nice and spacious, most with a stone driveway. Sunsets are beyond belief beautiful!

It was beautiful. It has been improved immensely since the last time I was there . Play grounds, splash park, volleyball, baseball, basketball and tennis areas . Many bbq areas, paved walkways along the shoreline, lots of shade . A decent looking bathhouse, snack shop/camp store . Multiple bathrooms.

Nice park with a small beach. The beach was closed due to algae but enjoyed the park regardless.

Campground Review: Your entire experience depends on the weather. If it rains with thunderstorms coming in from the west, batten down the hatches (as well as tents and shelters). This is serious stuff, so pay attention to the radar. For tent campers, heavy rains will put your tent underwater (see photo). If it’s dry with calm winds, you will be treated to one of New York’s finest state campgrounds.

I love the space at this beach. Multiple tables and grills. The beach where you can swim at is a very small area; and it is not deep at all so this would be a nice beach to bring kiddos to they also serve ice cream and other things at the concessions. Admission was 7 dollars.

I was on my way back to Florida and decided to stop here to have a small picnic and take a walk before going to the airport. It's a beautiful park. Picnic tables were close to the water which was nice as I ate my food. There were lots of areas I wanted to explore but just didn't have time. Maybe one day I'll come back and camp.
