Reviews of Wild Water West Waterpark and Flamingo Falls Campground
Went after 4pm and paid the late night fee of $18. Very busy, but still big enough to enjoy. Two sections were closed so the kiddos were bummed a little. Slides were a blast, go-karts were fast in the double karts. Wave pool was relaxing. Lazy River was a mess, drunk people all over, felt bad for life guards. Just avoided that with kids and had a great day.
Had a great time. I read a review before going about WWW not having enough tubes for the lazy river or lots of them being under inflated. I saw a total of 4 or 5 under inflated (it happens) but what I did see were guest hoarding them in their cabanas or people hanging out in the swim up bar for hours with their tubes. Long lines at the concession stands but it was 100°. All in all a good time the more negative things were due to the guests not the park or employees. Every employee I interacted with was super.
We try and come here a few times each summer. The kids love it. We always do the later time frame for less people and of course cheaper rates. They have a lot for all ages to do. Water slides, go karts, wave pool, lazy river, and a few other pool attractions. There is also mini golf too. There are several lifeguards all over the park keeping their eyes on things. The bathrooms are pretty bad though. The toilets flush very slow and due to so many people being wet and in and out they are pretty nasty to go in. The rest of the park is kept up well. Garbage emptied often, plenty of parking, life vests are available for kids, plenty of seating. I have heard the weekends can get pretty busy with long lines, but during the week has been pretty good for us.
A fun water park with a swim up bar on the lazy river ! Wave pool, pirate ship , big slides, go karts, mini golf, bumper boats.. we had a great time. Rent a cabana for some shade And privacy! Alcohol drinks average $7 a piece and tickets are 30$ each
So many things to do! The food is priced very reasonably. You could easily spend an entire day of fun here with the kids. Living in town, getting the season pass is worth it. Be sure to buy it at Christmas!
Best water park in the state. The kids love it! We live in Rapid City South Dakota and we commonly travel across the state with our grandkids just to go to wildwater West in Sioux falls. They have quite a few large slides that are fun for everyone, along with two really fast slides that are more adult-oriented. They have a great big wave pool that the kids really like along with the kids area with slides and water fountains and spigots. They have pretty good food they also have bumper boats and go karts. Unlike some places all of the activities are included in your day pass which is nice.
A hidden gem in the fields of South Dakota. Passing through while on a cross country trip and this was a bargain! $31 for our family of five. Buy one get one AND military discount! Love how they still gave us that discount when we were already getting a great price. This is something you don’t get in other places. And the food here was not overpriced at all! We’ve been to many water parks across the world and this was one of the top ones! Workers were nice and lifeguards actually lifeguarded. Mini golf, go carts, awesome!
Super fun!!! Just make sure you wear plenty of sun screen. The lazy river is awesome! So much to do for a really good price. Make sure you purchase your tickets online from the gas station. It is even cheaper.
I had fun, but make sure you don't get the number 18 go cart and beers are $7 a tall boy so you might want to pregame before you come.
Very good family fun. Speed slides are a rush, wave pool is ok, lazy river delivers a relaxing ride. A few go carts were a little slow, but overall a good time. Don't try to get food anytime close to noon or 1pm you'll be waiting a little while. That being said it was decent food. I'd go back!
As a kid, I absolutely loved this place. As I have gotten older and visited other waterparks in the country, there are definitely some improvements that should be made. The wave pool was the best addition and I was so happy the day it opened. Last time I was there it was broken and the water was so cold that even on a 100° day, it was not fun. Also, the lazy river is too small for the amount of people there. Also, it would be so nice to not have to be in a tube. No other waterparks require it. It would also be nice if the lazy river took you over to the wave pool so you don't have to walk on the hot slippery concrete to the back of the park.
We went a few days ago on a Wednesday mid-day and spent six hours there. My young kids did not want to leave and loved the slides and the lazy river. The staff were very friendly. The park and water areas were clean. It was busy, but not overwhelming. We will most definitely return!
This place has it all. Once you buy the tickets bumper boats, swimming, and racing cars are free. Mini golf is $1 still but I recommend anyone that wants to be entertained. Great for small kids and adults. Has a lot of slide options.
Really enjoy the park on a hot day but would like to see the mini golf repaired, it's really unplayable, and the batting cages look like they haven't been working for years. I live in Sioux Falls and would love to run out to use batting cages in the evening or a fun night of mini golf.
This is an interesting one. When you get past all the negative stuff, the slides and go karts and stuff are really fun. Buuut....
The employees are extremely rude, they will yell at you and whislte for the dumbest stuff. I hate that you can't take your own goggles, or your own water bottle, or your own floaties like bruh. Not to mention, they treat you like dirt. The bathrooms nasty bruh. The guys that run the go karts are just straight up jerks. and god forbid I TOUCH THE WALL IN THE WAVE POOL..... It's a big joke. they just need to set down their ego and do their jobs, stop being so power hungry. It's also ridiculously expensive.
Must say.... I was really impressed!! There are not only great water slides but there is also mini golf, bumper boats, batting cages, & go carts all included for one price! You can also play paintball but that does have a separate fee.
The lifeguards are absolutely outstanding! They are so disciplined and are SO attentive!
Will definitely be returning again when it opens next summer!!
Great place to go. We always get the season pass when it is on sale that way on a hot summers day we have somthing fun to do. It is a cheap family fun place if you get the season pass and use it often.
Great place to bring the whole family. We went for a Birthday party and the kids were so happy with pop and icecream.
We can spend the whole day there! It's for the young and the old! I felt very safe having my young child there as the staff and life guards were incredible. Food prices were reasonable! Enjoyed the additional go karts and batting cages that came with the entry fee too.
My family had a great time there. The lines weren't as long as we were expecting them to be. Wish there were a few more shady places to sit. The staff were all super friendly. We loved the wave pool and lazy river! Bumper boats were fun. Didn't try the go karts bc the line was too long to wait in the sun.
Only spent a couple hours there and had a 30 minute delay from lighting but there is something for everyone from the young kids to adults. We went on Wednesday from the 4-8 and prices are cheaper and with the herd the wife n I have definitely made it more tolerable to go. My family enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
Price includes everything in the park. We took a family trip to Iowa for a wedding and decided to take the tourist route home through South Dakota. We wanted to take the kids to a water park so we stopped through here on our way to Rapid City. It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere so it was hard to just see from the highway. The staff was friendly and professional. It was hard to visit every attraction in the park in one day. Lines weren't terrible. It was pretty packed though. We all had a great time. I can't say anything negative about this place.. splash
Always fun for the kids. Go during the weekdays check the website for sales. Also you can buy discounted tickets at Get n Go
Wonderful place. Being a family of 5 it can get expensive to go, but with their Tuesday night special, we can afford to go. Thank you for giving lower income families a chance to enjoy you wonderful facilities.
So much to do here! We're had so much fun on all the slides, two zero gravity type slides, two tube slides, and there is one that you sit it lay down and can even take your smaller children down on your lap. We had a blast in the kids area and there were so many little water slides for the kiddos to play on, the lazy river was nice and the wave pool was fun! So glad it's only a few hours from us, a summer go to for it family!
My girls love it here...so many things to do. We went with church group this time. Fun had by All ages!
We had a whole day of family fun at the Wild West Waterpark. From riding go carts to plunging down the slides and experiencing the awesome wave pool.
Was good once we got in. The check in lady had an attitude. The lady wouldn’t put wristbands on til the card went through. Either way we were paying and she gave us attitude then wanted to put the kids on first Waves in the wave pool were really weak as well. No tubes for the lazy river. $7 for a beer is pretty outrageous too.
Classic amusement park. Loved it!! Everything is included once you get in and all in Pretty good shape. Go carts, water slides, lazy river, swim up bar, mini golf. Such a nice variety.
Awesome place and super reasonably priced. Buy tickets at a get n go station for 22$. Waterpark, Go carts, golf, bumper boats all included in the ticket price. Get there early to avoid long waits for the tube slides. Bring a cooler for your car and pack sandwiches or be prepared to shell out some $$ for food and drinks.
Fun for all ages, loved relaxing in the lazy river and getting into the wave pool! Im currently pregnant so i couldn’t do the slides but the years before they were extremely fun! 10 out of 10 recommend for any family fun summer activity!!
Really enjoyed the park on the 4th of July! It was busy but not overly crowded. Disappointed about restrooms, they could be checked more often
We had such a great time !!! We would deff go back for another family night !! Our kids loved it and the pizza was good !!
My 13 and 11 year old daughters loved it. We drove from Omaha for a little weekend adventure and they dedicated enjoyed the waterpark.
Grandson who is 12 years old enjoyed all of water slides, bumper boats, and go carts! He had alot of fun that day! Recommend it for kids alot to do there!
This is a great place to go and bring the kids. However, they had advertised that there'd be a discount due to it being labor day and they didn't honor it. Otherwise not bad.
Such a great place to enjoy summer with water and dry attractions. It's an aging place, but it's so much fun! Highly recommend if you live nearby.
Plenty to do for our 2 year old and 4 year old! My husband and I had fun, too! We all had a blast! The splash pad and the kiddie pool is where we spent most of our time. The bumper boats were a lot of fun! The go carts were awesome! Food was good! Everyone was polite and professional. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because half of the bumper boats were not being used and the wait in line was long. Otherwise, we all had a great time!
If you don't want to pay for water bring an empty water bottle with you. Ask the bartender/food court nicely and they filled up mine for me twice on two different occasions.
Spent the day from 11 to 6. Worth admissions and concessions were good. Sticklers for bringing your own food or beverages in....so come with empty water bottle.
Watermark was great but go karts said my grandson was a little too short, the batting cages were closed and the mini golf course was not good due to poor maintenance. It had ripped surface in many areas so it was hard to golf.
Amazing water park!! 😊 Never a bad moment. Amazing thing to see was watching the disabled be able to be paired with their counselors on the paddle boats so they could have fun too... Definitely melted my heart they are like that. 😊 Btw, one person is only allowed on the paddle boats but they made acceptions to this group of disabled people...
The staff was very kind and attentive. No slacking off here. The lifeguard in some spots literally march back and forth looking into the water. This made me feel like the kids were safe.
They offer life jackets. That's super helpful if you've got little ones. Great place overall.
My 6 year old said it was the "best day ever!".
I only gave 3 stars because the price is ridiculous! Look for a coupon. But definitely go.
Bonus points- there's a bar. Think strawberry margarita....oh yeah 😁
It's fun and there are lots of fun things for kids and adults, but their policy on not allowing people to bring in water, while only offering it at their limited concession stand is ridiculous. As I write this it is 98° and that's not accounting for the heat index.
Without the wave pool there wasn't enough stuff to do as an adult. Which affected lazy river lines, and made the overall experience pretty dull. Probably would have been fine for a parent with younger kids, but was a letdown for my family.
Though being fair to the site and using past experiences, the food is decent and there's a wide variety of drinks and other treats to keep you cool. When everything is available it's genuinely a great experience for all ages.
I'd definitely recommend going on a good day, I just can't justify rating it any higher than 3 with how mediocre my last experience was.
I enjoyed my visit here! My favorite part was the lazy river!
It is so worth it there is go-karts that cost no money to ride, and so much more, definitely try it out and I garuntee you won't regret it:)
Place is pretty clean, the water attractions were fun. Haven't tried the go karts or mini golf. Long wait for the slides during peak time but around supper time the lines thin out. Only really disturbing thing I saw were a small handful of drunk adults acting out, cursing, some even throwing beer cans from the top of the slides tower and disrespecting everyone else, especially the kids. Otherwise, I'd give the place 5 stars.
My family had a blast! We are cruising across America and planned for a fun afternoon at Wild Water West and they did not disappoint. They also watched our puppy in their office so we could play. Will definitely come back!
Was disappointed that we could not bring our UNOPENED water bottles in. I realize opened containers and food but seriously hydration is important and not at 4 dollars a bottle. The wave pool was not opened either. Would have been nice if the website shared this info. Because the wave pool was closed the lazy river was completely over crowded and you had to stand in a line to get a raft. Over all experience was not the best.
We loved this place! Get the tickets at your local convenience mart and you save money, they are only $20 after tax! Everything is included, bumper boats, mini-golf, go-karts, batting cages plus all the water park features. The concession prices are great!! Super reasonable!!
This is the great place for family fun! It's got some fun slides, and a great variety of other attractions to entertain the whole family.
The Go-Karts are included in admission and after a lot of fun. They are fast enough for the course and the lines aren't terrible.
The batting cages are in good condition. And their virtual never a wait to operate.
The lazy river is pleasant and relaxing. And children from 1 to 11 were enjoying it.
The wave pool has a nice setting to relax and for enjoying the waves.
The pirate ship and a great place to hang out for both younger children and adults. Because it's closed to food, drinks, and shade of you'd like.
The activity pool kept my children occupied for a good bit of time. And I had fun just watching doing the obstacles.
The big slides are your average fun but slides. Nothing unique about them. But they are fun and with everything else you can enjoy it works out great.
Lastly, I want to point out that the staff at Wild Water West does an amazing job! I was super impressed. They were diligent in keeping everyone safe. Friendly and respectful to me and my family. And very helpful.
If you live in the Sioux Falls area or are just passing through, this is a fun place to spend the day.
I delivered supplies ordered thru Amazon. But from the smiles from everyone around me. And the up best friendly staff. I would definitely. Spend a day or even a weekend there
I'd think the base of the wave pool and lazy river could use some better covering. Kept getting cement scratches on our feet and legs. No reason for that.
It was fun but lots of people there and they closed the concession stand by the wave pool before 5pm.
Fun filled environment! My daughter enjoyed the wave pool, I took full advantage of the concession stand and swim up bar!!
Only downside was the wave pool was down the day we went but LOTS of fun regardless, took my daughter and 2 nephews for their very first time & the memories will last forever. Food was decently priced and beverages for $2/refill was awesome.
Fun for the whole family. Lifeguards are super proactive and watch well. The snacks are reasonably priced. The unlimited go karts were a hit. Seemed to go 5 mins at a time and it was a Friday with no wait until 4pm when the $8.95 Friday night special drew in a bigger crowd. Check the website for the daily specials and advance rates at Get N Go gas stations.
The best part is one hour before closing they had to pull us out of the water and a few min later they closed the water park and was able to get a free ticket for another day. Staff was not very kind or nice for that matter.
Went for the first time and it was so crowded.Took forever to get up to the slides. If it wasn't so crowded it would of been fun.
Such a fun place on a hot day! More than just water slides. Go carts, mini golf, and volleyball. Only reason it doesn't get a 5 is bc it is very spendy to get in.
Great way to spend the day with the kiddos! The lifeguards are amazing! I lost my glasses on the lazy river and they found them within minutes😊Could've asked for a better experience! And met some amazing people while I spent the day there! Definitely going back and buying season passes early for next year! …
Amazing the best waterpark ever that I have been to I made tons of new friends I just don't get how you can have googles on but it's prob bc something tragic happened other then that it's amazing
Always had a blast here. It's a quality place considering it's in the middle of nowhere. The prices are reasonable. There is a LOT to do here. You can genuinely stay here all day. Kids can have the time of their life. Adults can have a great time drinking a cold one in the lazy river and awesome swim up bar. The wave machine that goes off every 15mins is an awesome attraction point. Recommended.
When we arrived, I was told I had to throw my water bottle away (“because it was plastic") and we were not allowed to bring water in. Overall it's a pretty fun place, but because of an air quality warning they closed early. We witnessed several people pass out before they decided to close, however the lifeguards were highly professional and took good care of them. We also got a free refund to come back again, and we will be doing so!
Wednesday from 4pm until 8pm is family fun and discounted to half off. The park is a lot of fun for all ages.
Loves it, awesome experince, clean and safe highly recommended for family fun excellent customer service lovely lifeguards
This place is a lot of fun! It has all the classics you'd expect from a waterpark, plus some other fun extras. Hadn't been in about a decade, and I'm glad to see that my nostalgic memories were not just childish fever dreams 👍👍 …
By far the best place to go swimming in Sioux Falls. They have everything from a wave pool, a lazy river, water slides, a swim up bar, and even go carts.
Very nice park. Staff were friendly and polite and well disciplined when it.came to their duties in lifegaurding. bumper boats really need some tlc only 4 of the fleet were running and even those were not fully functional. Overall a fun time.
The children's area was shut down. Wave pool is fun but the cement was slimy and slippery. Long wait for the bumper boats and extremely long for gokarts. I can't stand for long periods so unable to ride with the kids. Many were broke down or quit when people were driving. Disappointing for the price of admission
We loved it. Get here early to make sure you get a good spot. We shared a large pizza for lunch and able to take the rest home. Kids had fun and I loved going down the slides. Bumper boats were hit or miss on what one was a good one.
Great job by lifeguard Mya today!! She did exactly what she should have done with a little boy in distress. Great job with the training of the staff and they are very observant of all that is going on. Makes a grandparent comfortable bring our grandkids here. Keep up the good work
Our family has so much fun at WWW. Would love to see more gluten free food items since you understandably cannot bring in outdoor food. I love that they provide life jackets. The go karts are a lot if fun. I'm not sure if 3 double karts are the normal per rotation or if it's temporary/due to covid. It created long waits as that's what a lot of people were waiting on and wanting to be grouped with larger parties. If more doubles are available It would be nice to see that ratio of single to doubles change.
Fun for the kids and adults alike. There's a swim up bar/adult area. A great wave pool, a lazy river with plenty of opportunity to push the kids into spraying/falling water. We went on a weekend day and it was not overly packed. There is ample seating (lounge chairs) and food and drink prices are reasonable for this type of park.
This was our 2nd time going to this waterpark,Waterpark, visited in 2019 from TN, was greatly disappointed in a few things. They were out of bottled water in the park and the water vending machine so it was either soda or beer. They also only had what was in the beer fridge available which wasn't much of a selection. The concession stand was also out of a some things. The slides, wave pool, lazy river and kids part were great! They were down to 3 bumper boats out of 8.
Great place! Enjoy the swimming experience with my family 👪 …
I don't even remember the last time I was here (sooooo long ago) so I can't compare the two visits, but my family and I had a blast. Their pizza fed two adults and three kids. Ice waters came in very large styrofoam cups, so that was awesome. Prices weren't bad for food. We're exhausted from a fun-filled afternoon!
Our family spent a full day here. It was a lot of fun for both adults and the kids. Unfortunately it wasn't super hot out so the water was pretty cold. Had the water coming out of the fountains and water features been warmer than it would have been much better! Only about five of the bumper boats were working so that made the line take forever...They advertise the batting cages and sand volleyball like they are big features. The batting cages are run down and only two of them were operational. The batting equipment was also junky. There was one torn up volleyball to be used but the courts were overrun with weeds so we didn't bother with it.
Would recommend for the water slides and pools. Make sure you go on a very hot day!
Really liked the whole layout. Plenty of seating. Guards doing a great job. Food very reasonably priced. Water very clean. Will definitely go back again and again.
Lots of fun and activities for all ages. The slides are a great adrenaline rush, the wave pool is relaxing, and the lazy river has equal parts calm and crazy as you float along. I have to admit, the highlight of it all for me was the 6 inch tall soft serve!
A great place to spend a day with all ages. Enjoy those summer days in a clean, well maintained park. Not just water and sun, there is plenty of shady spots, tables, and chairs for all. Food is reasonably priced and good. My family had a great day on the slides, wave pool, and go carts.
Nice place for the family and to cool off
I know it is to be expected in the South Dakota summers, but the parking was outrageous, giving a long walk. And then you have to walk all the way across the park for any place to sit, in the grass even. The concrete is extremely hot on bare feet, even if you were just in the water.
It happened to be a company weekend, so tons more people than you see on most average weekends. The line for the lazy river was backed up to the kiddy pool the entire time I was there.
All of that aside, I have a blast every time I go, and everything is always worth the downsides. Food and drinks from cabanas was great, but the wave pool is always my family's favorite and is where we spend the most time.
It was too loud and crowded for my nephew, though, so something to consider when bringing a child under 1 year.
My family comes here once a year and we enjoy it thoroughly. I am the type of person who doesnt like fast slides, and there qas still tons of stuff for me to do; go-karts, bumper boats, mini-golf, wave pool, and the lazy river were just a few. The food was good, but they put WAY too much ice cream on their small cones and their walking tacos tasted like chili, but other than that its great!☆☆
The people at the entrance were really nice and helpful, they have plenty of water based and land based activities.
Make sure weather is clear though the day you go, because if there is any sign of lightning all water activities are shut down until the storm passes which really ruins things for tourists or large groups that planned a month or 2 ahead.
Also the snack bars are a bit lacking, I'd suggest sharky's be the one you head to, sadly what you get is a bit small, so it's best to get a meal before heading to the park.
Aside from what I see as it's flaws, it's a great place to cool off and have fun.
This a nice family friendly place love the lifeguards 😉 attention towards the kids safety first no running tho, not able to take refreshing drinks or snacks you have buy inside fun place kids love it they can b their all day. …
There on one of the hottest days of the summer. Water was clean, park was clean. Lifeguards were fair and friendly. Prices were even reasonable.
Great family fun. Nice personable employees/lifeguards who do a great job. Only thing we didn't like was people with alchohol in the wave pool, and going around the lazy river. Even one guy washing his beer can out in the pool after drinking it in the wave pool...Why?
Was a load of fun, the tube tornado slide was the most fun with water, and the go-karts were the biggest attraction for me. Fun for all ages!
Super fun time with my kiddos!! Only complaint really is that nobody gave me a head's up that they have a doll they put in the water to test how well the lifeguards are paying attention. Thankfully someone told me it was just a doll as I panicked and darted to "save" what I thought was a dead toddler. We passed 3 lifeguards when it was finally spotted. That was kinda scary. Other than that, we had fun. :) I recommend it.
It's a great place to take kids! My boys loved it we will be going back!!
I love the lazy river! And dragging the whole family on the bumper boats! The mini golf course is a bit worn out and could use some work, but is still fun. Only 2 of the pits in the batting cages were working? Sad how many people would like to use it and walk away instead due to very long lines trying to use 2 open cages. The volleyball area seems a bit neglected as well. Overall the place is a blast, offers amazing concessions, and has plenty of activities for the whole family.
Wild Water West is so much fun! The wave pool and the lazy river are the best! My only complaint is that it is usually super busy, but I guess that just adds more testimony to how great this place is! Make sure you stop at Get-n-Go before you go to pick up some coupons!
This water park is one of the best for the price and is much better than any indoor water park at any hotel. The lazy river is extensive and it keeps you wet and is fun to just sit in. The pirate section is fun for littler kids but entertaining to watch. All of the big slides are fun for the entirety of your stay and keep your attention in the excitement that they give. The wave pool, in my opinion, is the best thing they have to offer. It goes up every so often and the waves get fairly big and go in for a while, but there is a Grace period when it is still for a while. There are also bars and places to get food. Great place overall and I would go there again, after this being the third time going.
Great place to take the kids and relax with some cold beer and some decent food selections too. Lifeguards seem more trained and devoted to the job then any I have seen. Fun times on all attractions.
This water park is great! I read some bad reviews but I’m glad I didn’t pay attention to those. There’s so many different things to do, the food is not expensive at all and it’s actually GOOD! My husband and I had a burger combo and it was $11 for both of us. The staff was always nice. This is a great place to bring your family and friends!
For the year almost that I lived in South Dakota I've only visited this water park once and I was visiting my nephew. Loved that this water park has something for everyone. Drinks available to be consumed in the lazy river, swim up bars and wave pool. Or you can sit in an area that is designated to smoke and drink. Has go carts, batting cages, mini golf and much more, great place to take the whole family.
Nice, small Midwestern water park. Has plenty of specials that are a great deal m-f 4-8pm.
Once you've been here, it automatically gets a little less fun... The water park is a blast however, especially for kids. Lots of different attractions to experience such as plummeting slides, tube slides, a wave pool, lazy river, pirate ship for the kids, and a few others. The dry park also offers fun in the form of go karts, bumper boats, mini golf, and more. The lines for some of these attractions are horrendous however. I waited over 45 minutes to ride the go karts once, for a total of 5 minutes. If you stick to the water park side, it isn't as bad, but there are still long lines at times. It really helps to bring a friend. They also have deals every once in a while bringing the price of admission down to about $5, make sure to find out when those are. Makes it much more worth it.
I like that they have specials everyday , I just wish the food/water wasn't so strict. Just a a water bottle doesn't hurt anybody.
So much offered for such a low price! Specials all week long! Food surprisingly very affordable! The admission also covers golf, go-karts, batting cages, bumper boats. Get n go can get you all of this for only 19 bucks anytime. Check out their website to see specials and you can go even cheaper!
Kids loved it! We visited here as the halfway stop between St. Paul and The Black Hills. It was a great put stop. Fun slides and a great lazy river. The mini golf course is kind of terrible, but everything else was fun!
This was a great way to spend a day when I had some family come to visit. The lazy river was especially great, and the wave pool was a blast! I will definitely be back!
This year marks our family's 24th year of July 4th celebration that we start off with Wild Water West. It has included family and friends and this year was no exception. As always... it was GREAT!!!
Over all it was a good day there. Prices for food were reasonable and I do like that they continually add new attractions as the years go by. Was not impressed by the mini golf. The corse was in shambles! The turf was all torn up in places. Some of the bridges were busted and cracked to pieces and the small creek they have running through the corse was bone dry. Also they didnt seem to have enough tubes for the lasy river nor the slides and quite a few of them I saw people using were half flat. Also noticed (as did another woman in line for the slides) that there was some kind of brown stain on the slides from the water. Seemed kind of gross to me. The place could definitely use a good clean up.
Was super fun, even for two adults and no kids. Wave pool was relaxing and anywhere you went you could bring a drink. Food stands were priced well, and tasted like you would expect good and nostalgic.
Great time for the kids The bumper boats are awesome. We rented a Premier Cabana right by the wave pool. I highly recommend spending the extra 30$ for private area, chairs and there's shade. I'm a visitor from Ohio and I give the place 5 stars. Pack a picnic for your car, the food and drinks will add up.
Many different attractions such as waterslides, waves, lazy rivers, and so much more. The best attraction is defently the black plhmet slide. Recommended to every single person in Sioux Falls.
Its a very nice place to be with friends and family. Very friendly staff a majority of swim slides that are very fun, a pool bar, the lazy river, bumper boats, go-karts and best of all is the wave pool. There is also a mini golf area and paintball. So much fun
Great fun experience!! Everyone is friendly and tons of fun things to do!!! Well worth the price!!!
We had a good time, it seemed like it could get a lot busier. The pools were freezing but it just opened so it might take some time for the post to warm up. We'll definitely try it out again. Just right for a day trip and don't forget to find discounted tickets around town!!
Very well maintained. It was busy but not crowded. Lots of variety; water slides, wave pool, lazy river, bumper boats. It also has mini golf and go-karts.
Wild water west is fun if its your first time, but its a small park with only a few slides and they really pack people in. It tends to get really crowded as the day progresses, but my 4 year old always has fun so that's what really matters. You're also better off buying the discounted tickets at the local get n go gas stations.
This was a great family fun day for us. All the employees we interacted with were super nice. We saw employees go above and beyond their duties. It was our first time but it will not be our last.
Always have a good time here. One thing I would love to see is the price of going earlier in the day drop a bit.
My kids and I LOVED this waterpark. My only complaint is that the slides without a tube is quite painful. Each connection where the slide was put together was quite the bump and scraped the skin. This can be avoided by going on the slides tubes are allowed.
Great park but long lines to slides,go cart and lazy river was hard to get a tube
We live in sioux city and make the travel a few times per summer. I like the water park but, I really hope they clean the pirate bucket area. Especially the slides. I try to enjoy the area with my kids but the slides have a layer of gunk. I just pray they clean them before the 2020 season!
Great place to take the family! Kids of all ages have something to do here. We did the evening entrance fee which was perfect length of time for our 21-month-old. You can start a tab and get your food and drinks without carrying cash around!
Nice Waterpark with a nice swim up bar and can eat and drink anywhere in the park as long as u buy it from the park
Fun little water park. Not as big as Six Flags or Oceans of Fun but still has some good slides and nice play areas for kids. The wave pool is enjoyable and so is the lazy river. Food and drink are overpriced but that's to be expected. Not allowed to bring any food into the park.
I had an amazing experience here at Wild West in Sioux Falls!! Staff and service was amazing! Kennedy I believe her name was working the tower and she was so kind and struck a very nice conversation with me. Highly recommend!!!
Great family fun. Need money to rent locker $7 and $1 per person for mini golf. It would be nice if there were family lockers and dressing rooms. The lockers are not big enough.
There are no outside food and beverages allowed but you can bring empty water bottles and they will fill them for you. We pack food in our car and go out there to eat. On weekends, it can be crazy busy. Weekdays before 4pm is the best time to go. If you are going with a group, I would recommend renting a private area before you go out because they run out of chairs.
We had so much fun here as a family. There is something for everyone to do no matter what age you are. Kids loved the wave pool and lazy river especially. Lines for the bumper boats and go carts got long but everything else was fast.
This is a very good Waterpark for being in Sioux Falls. The wave pool is large. The lazy River is nice but I wish there were less fountains and waterfalls to get you wet. The drinks are overpriced at the swim up bar but that is to be expected. The mini golf course seems to be in disrepair with most of the greens needing to be replaces or at the very least vacuumed. The putters were similarly worn out. The go cart course is free with admission and probably one of the funner things to do for adults. As far as children goes I can't really speak from experience but that seems to be where this park excels. There are many different children's pools and water jungle gyms.
This place is huge. There is a ton to do here!! Good drinks for the adults while the kids swim. Need to post maps so you can figure out where everything is better. Water slides are usually very busy. Could use some more slides so their not as busy.
Lots of fun for all ages! Our large family loves it.
Well worth the trip, spent 4hrs there today in the heat. great pools and fun slides ect, only complaint is the hot concrete burns your feet!!!
We spend a lot of time here when we have the season pass. The wave pool and lazy river are our favorite (both children and adults). Only negative is that their frozen alcoholic drinks don't actually have alcohol (or if they do, it's so low of an amount it cannot be picked up when testing) so don't blow 7 bucks for a cocktail slush. Go get Hawaiian ice or something else instead.
The daily deals from 4pm-8pm are great for big families looking for a fun and inexpensive time. We had slushes and funnel cakes, and we were not disappointed. Thanks
Nice park with plenty of different things to do. Food however is not the best.
I love wild water west. I have a season pass so I go quite often. I always have a lot of fun. The black hole is thrilling and I was so glad to see its getting fixed! My only concern is mid day and on the bathrooms get very disgusting.
Very spacious. And many amusements. Along with mini-golf. A paint ball arena. Go Karts. Beach Volleyball. And the water park portion contains: A wave pool. Two humongous slides. Fun tube slides. A large lazy river. And they even added a kids section! Definitely worth a visit!
Love this place with 1 exception. 1 water fountain for the entire park, most employees can't even tell you where it is but will happily sell you ice water $.50 for 16oz. Also you cannot bring in your own water bottles you will be forced to dump it out and charged to fill it.
All of slides were awesome! Lazy river was enjoyable and the wave pool is awesome. only problem is how expensive the food is
Not cheap, but great fun. The kids loved it, though they refused to use the bathroom because it was "not sanitary". Granted it was at the end of the day, but I didn't have the same experience with the men's room.
Such a fun place to go! Huge water slides, big pools and much more!
The kids loved it, we spent most of the time in the wave pool and the lazy river. Even got my 9 year old to go down the big slide. Wish the line for the go carts went faster.
For the money you spend per person you can keep your whole family happy for hours. Was there on a holiday weekend and surprisingly it wasn't overly busy. Would definitely recommend.
Great for children and adults. It's just too bad when we got there that other parties were in my daughters rented reservation spots. And they closed early due to the weather
To be honest, this isn't the biggest waterpark I've been to but it's not bad. It's a good sized waterpark with different activities to do. I'd recommend it to families.
A ton of fun! Adult ticket is like $18 i think but yoy can go for $5 on tuesday if you bring schools supplies off their list on their website. I brought 5 folders and that got me in. I spent a ton of time being lazy on the lazy river, hit the batting cages ( which offer a variety of speeds), then the go karts, the bumper boats, the mini golf, and theres big slides but i didnt go on those cuz of the line. There are several small child friendly water features and kiddy pool with different interactive things for kids of all ages. There is also a water fort with climbing net and other cool stuff. It looks like a really cool fort combined with a waterpark. The wave pool is awesome fun and has varying depths. There is plenty of seating available and a snack bar that also does pizzas and several alcohol stands including a swim up bar in the lazy river that has strawberry daquiris. Another stand has strawberry and original margaritas. I like to mix the two flavors and take it with me on the lazy river (allowed). All in all its a fun day worth the money just make sure you bring sunscreen.
Had a great time with the family and they were very accommodating for a birthday party. The kids loved it.
We got the Monday 4:00-8:00 group deal. It was a great deal, but parts of it closed before 8:00 - otherwise it'd be 5 stars.
It was alot of fun! the kids had a blast but the staff seemed to not like their job very much rude & extremely unfriendly but overall we had a blast 🤷🏾💦🐬🌊👙 …
Was a lot of fun. Think this fall I will buy season passes for next year
Very family-friendly although the golf course could use some help
Good fun and I didn't drown. I would choose different music, but I guess music by Pungent Stench and Cannibal Corpse would a little much for the general public. Lame. Good place with reasonable prices.
We loved going here with the kids! The staff is veey friendly, food that isn't expensive and slides that don't require long waits. We got sun beds along the pirate ship and were able to just lay and get sun. The park is well managed.
They needed a lot of maintenance such as painting fences and triming weeds but overall a good deal for the price. I had lots of fun!
It's fun, but they're too expensive for what it is. They're capitalizing on having no competition.
Fix the batting cages!
It was ok. My son had fun. Got distracted by the number foul mouth kids that were out there with no parent supervision. It's not a daycare. Watch your kids!
Great park and more than reasonable rates. Attentive staff. 2 tube slides, 2 drop body slides, another body slide, pool with obstacles, wave pool, kiddy pool, mini golf, bumper boats, go carts all included. Pick up tickets in town at the local gas stations for a discount.
Great place for some family fun! Their awesome specials during the week make it affordable for any family.
Super fun, this is a great place to take your children on a hot summer day! I do have to say though that there food is kind of pricey, but worth it!
A great place for the whole family at a good price. With a Water park, go carts, batting cages, and mini golf all included in your admission, there's enough to keep everyone entertained all day.
Had a great day sat with my grandkids spent all day there. Food was great prices just wish could mist cement it gets really hot even yo walk on
Nicely kept park, and the staff is always very polite and do their jobs with excellence! I love that they use the dummies in the water for continual training for their lifeguards all summer.
Its a nice park but i just wish they would add double tubes for the waterslides so you can have you kid with and also wet the cement since it gets really hot.
The wave pool and the lazy river are lots of fun! Though the snacks are pricy for what tastes pretty cheap. Lots of fun though!
They have something for every age of the family!! It's beautiful and clean! I highly recommend a cabana, for the price, it's well worth having a place to get under the shade and relax between slides!
Swimming was fun. Food was another thing. Waited 20 minutes for a chicken wrap and it wasnt even fully cooked and gave me food poisoning 😁✌️ …
Both my kids had a blasr. My 28mo old absolutely loved going down the body slide w mom
Best place to enjoy hot summer days to stay cool!!👙🕶☀️ …
To expensive all around. No social distancing enforced only signs. **my boys were NOT allowed to wear swim goggles. No clue why & didnt see them on rules & regs of WWW.
Great place, lots of new stuff since I was there last. Only disappointing thing is how much adult activity there is with alcohol presence everywhere.
Fun, has mini golf and big water slides😎 …
We always enjoy visiting WWW. After visiting an out of town waterpark this week, we realized how good WWW is at training and holding their lifeguards to a high standard. That's very reassuring! The lines can get long for the slides, but that's part of waterparks I suppose.
My family and I enjoyed our time there. We especially like the lazy River and the go karts. The go karts are fun and if you get there early the lines are short
Cheap, fun, definitely a place to take your muss, however don't plan on being able to afford anything there after admission.. Way to high of prices for a place for a family to actually enjoy fully.
Place was packed. Hard to enjoy with that many people. Lazy river was solid people and rafts. Great place for a 5 year old. He really liked it.
Great times for adults and kids. Doing a great job of getting new rides and keeping old ones in great condition
Kids had a blast!! Loved the provided life jackets as well!! We will be back!!
Over priced, seemed a bit run down looking...paint was fading or discolored, the lazy river is scummy looking, the tubes are uncomfortable, lockers are outrageously priced, the wave pool was actually decent. Staff were pleasant.
My nephew decided to go on the slide without telling us and we thought we lost him and the lifeguards were extremely helpful about helping us find him.
Fun place, only somewhere you would stay about a couple hours though. Nothing special. Go kart staff needs improvement. Very rude and pushy.
We went on a Monday for the family discount. Lazy river was great and all the lines were reasonable except tornado alley and bumper boats. I'd do it again in a heart beat.
Was a decent day to have fun at the only pool open this year my daughter was finally tall enough to go down the tube slide and body slide
Good service, good prices, alcohol is a tad high on price. Lots of fun for family, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Excited to return again.
Love it but they’re concessions were closed
As I've gotten older and have a child of my own that enjoys coming here, I've realised that it really isn't worth it.
Food is lackluster and overpriced.
Everything seems to be getting dated and not maintenanced well.
It's a great place to take our 4 and 2 year old. The options for them to play are great and life jackets are provided.
Great time. Weather was good and it wasn't crowded. Prices are very reasonable and the food was not expensive. I will have to try the bumper cars next time.
We went on Tuesday night which was great as it was only $5 with a school supply. Wave pool was closed.. only reason for a 3.
Super fun place they, they had a lot of fun things to do including a go cart track! It's super fun I'd reccomend it.
Would recommend. Will probably visit again. However, there is no handicap stalls in bathrooms but all pools and recreation areas are easily accessible.
Super fun... we love the lazy river but there is a lot to enjoy here!
Great family waterpark! Grandkids had a blast! They are closed now for the season.
Great place for the whole family! Great play zones for all different ages. Water slides, go karts, mini golf, lazy river, swim up bar.... entertainment for everyone!
Such a blast! You can relax in the lazy river or go for a scary adrenaline rush down the slides. Or if you want to test out your drifting go on the go karts.
Amazing waterpark! It's best to spend a whole day there and drop the money for a cabana so you can have a way to get out of the sun though.
Enjoyable, wish it had been warmer leaving up to our visit but everything is about what you expect, our small children had a blast.
I go here every summer with a group of friends. We are 21+ and love the alcoholic slushees and hanging out in the lazy river.
Get the season pass, and get it in December when they sell it for $75.00. All you have to do is go 3 times in the summer and you have it paid for. Best deal by far, and it includes all the park amenities. #pool #SunNFun
Lots of fun. Great family place. Swim up bar was different from what I'm used to. I loved it
Would like a spot addedd to hang clothes in shower/ changing areas. But we had alot of fun!
I took my child and boyfriend here and it was too cold for us adults but obviously not my child. Kind of wish the pools were heated. The only pool that was okay was the wave pool
Fun, best way to spend time with family, lots of things to do, if your tired of swimming go golfing or go carting don't wanna do any of this they have volleyball baseball and paintball as well.
Spent 6hrs with the family and kids. AWESOME 👍😎 …
Great place to cool off and have so much fun.
I loved this place because it was so fun there is so much to do there I was there for 10 hours and didn't get bored the slides are so fun!!!
Great place buy the season pass well worth it
Pricey but worth it. Lots of fun!
Fun water park with a handful of slides. Go early before lines get long. Bumper boats and go karts are free so that's a +
Something for everyone! This was a great way to spend the afternoon. Plenty of seating as well. Don't have to fight for a table or chair!
Loved it. The lazy river has a bar and snacks you just coast up to them and get food and/or drinks... Yay
The mini golf course is ripped up and trashed
Fun place for all ages!! Many different things for all to do! Do wish you could take your own water inside water park.
We went for $5 a person on Tuesdays, if you bring school supplies from their list on their website each person can get in for $5. Access to slides, mini golf, and go carts
Nice waterpark for a city of the size lots of things to do and a lot of things to keep the kids busy with things for the adults too they even have cabanas and event areas for rent a swim up bar and food but things are kind of expencive but that to be expected
For those who are looking to dive, unfortunately they do not have a diving board. Other than that it’s a pretty good place to spend time with family.
Great place to bring the family and enjoy the day! They also have batting cages, go-karts, and bumper boats. There is also a swim-up bar.
Fun place, not huge, but big enough to have a good time. It would be more fun if there were less bandaids in the water.
Very well maintained but food is a little bit overpriced so you may want to bring some extra money
Amazing place. funniest for everything
Not very many bumper boats going so long wait. Busy place... Long lines... But fun.
Fun but seriously the coldest water you will ever swim in. For as much as they charge.....you would think they could heat the pools.
We had to wait in line for a hour for ice water! How ridiculous! They should have a line or a cooler just for that. The concession stand had 4 windows and they were not utilized at all.
So much fun! Tons of activities! Well written the cost of you take advantage of everything they offer.
Awesome when its family fun night its 1/2 price well worth a trip
Best Water park that our Family has ever been to. We've Celebrated many Birthdays and many other special occasions.
Fun...but the lines for everything were so long
It was amazing My family loved it there and I did too I think I'll go there again next year… can't wait😃😃😊😊 …
Great place with lots of stuff to do
It was fun... 5 dollar Friday-
My friend and i went yesterday and spent 7 whole hours here! I am too old to be that excited for watersides.
My work puts on a family fun day here, and my son loves it. Took my little brother too and it was a great time.
Great place to make a day of it! Fun for all ages! Most of all a place to make memories!
Great experience for my family! We booked a cabana, very much worth the price! Food is reasonable as well as drinks!
Great little water and adventure park. Wave pool, lazy river and multiple waterslides. Your admission also covers the awesome Go-karts and water bumper cars!
It is awesome you can do a lot of things with friends I recend if you live close to get a season pass!!!
The place was amazing the food WAS DELICIOUS thing is the Steep slides give you a wegie so watch out for those
I had a fantastic time. I will take my grandkids again next year. Good food too.
It was so fun. Its a amazing place to hang out with your family and friends.
Has very good service and is a really fun place to take your children
Extraordinary Place, fun slides fun things to do my only recommendation is keeping the place open for longer and the prices are large
A really nice place to visit. Fun, clean, and adults can have a beer or two and relax.
Kids love this place. Only bad thing is that they won't page anyone for you and charge you an "escort fee" to walk with you while you look for your kids.
Great family day! Price are reasonable, but need more cabanas.
Great fun for young and old alike. Even though it was super busy the lines were not long. Lots of variety.
I had a really good time & I love hanging out with my friends here. The employees are really nice & I recommend this to everyone :)
Great water park. Just the day we went was super busy & crowded. Also can't bring in water bottles that are already filled.
The tornado ally is SOO much fun. You don't know if you're are going to fall, or go really fast thought it.
Some Lifeguards not paying alot of attention. Awesome Park. Lots of Variety for all ages. Long long lines at Food booths.
Nothing fancy but it is the only waterpark we have so its popular. Mini-golf sucked, was not fun.
The big black slide so good I cant stop
Very clean and such a fun family time for a birthday party n a cabanna
Fun place to take the family, good variety of water attractions.
It's more of a family kids park it's fun but I'm older
Loads of fun kids of all ages
This place is AWESOME! Lucky us, we arrived on a deal day, had an all day blast! Wish we had this where we live.
It's a great place for water and sun fun the the whole family.
Fun, family friendly place to cool off on a hot summer day!
I love WWW, but country music has its place, but country music is not appropriate at WWW.
Amazing place and lots to do and all employees are so fast paced and work hard.
Kids had a great time. They did a great job of keeping everything clean and safe.
Reasonable price, no extra cost for bumper boats, mini golf and go-karts, highly recommend.
Fun place at a great price!
Very relaxing. Swim up bar for adults. Hear a lot of people talking they should have more adult only areas
It's a bit pricey, but once you pay, you have access to literally everything there. The lazy river is my particular favourite!
Expensive, but good if you can afford it!
Really fun day out on a hot day. push yourself to go down the black slide its worth it and no risk.
I liked it a lot but the waiting lines took forever but I understand it's a popular place.
A fun place to enjoy with spouse, and have a treat/snack! Many things to do and keep all ages busy!
Bathrooms could be cleaner. Cabanas and rental tents are faaarrrrr away from the rest of pool
Very busy and the food is pretty expensive but it's a good place for families to have fun!
Good time but a bit expensive. Fortunately, it is easy to find buy one admission get one free coupons.
Went from 4pm to 8pm for discounted rate. Had a blast. Very clean park
Overall it’s a nice place. Could use some new rides and a bigger lazy river.
Fun and reasonably priced - except for the locker rental. 7$ seems quite excessive!
Not bad. Only half the bumper boats were used on a very busy day
Nice waterpark, with go carts and bumper boats. Great place to bring kids.
Awesome place to go!! You forget how hot it is outside so dont forget sunscreen!!!
Always a good time!
Wish are food was hot it was cold.l wanted cheese balls put u were out of ranch.
I love the discount nights! Very fun place to escape to in Sioux Falls!
Good fun for all ages. Good service at food court
Kids had fun. People were nice and park was clean.
Nicest and closest places to have fun in Sioux Falls if you love water parks.
Everything was fun. We enjoyed the entire complex.
A lot of fun. Place kept clean, staff is friendly
It was great but they need to lower the lazy river floor , or make it smother cause I scraped my knee one I was in it.
Its a nice waterpark but the mini golf is a bad course in need of updating.
Good value and fun. The only downside was that the batting cages were closed.
Amazing and relaxing my husband and I love this place and we will be back when we come visit
Lots to do, not too crowded, relaxing in cabana. Good food and drink!
Always fun for everyone, they charge high prices cuz they can, but they really should be a little lower.
Would be better if there was a faster way to get to the wave pool otherwise I love it
Pretty amazing, lines go quick and for a water park it's cheap.
So much fun! Only been there twice and I love it!
Great place to spend the day with the family. A little pricey but well worth it.
Awesome water park and the go karts are free to ride!
Excellent variety of water activities. Well run. Very safety conscious.
It was a disappointment it the lines were dreadfully long the wavepool was boring and it's pricey go to the dells for a better time
The slides are getting old, and the lines get longer every time I go, but its busy because it's really really fun.
Great entertainment! We went on Wednesday I believe and it was bogo free!
Disappointed! My daughter could not have goggles in the wave pool, but it was ok to have alcohol.
It isn't fancy but there is enough there to have a blast.
Wonderful spot for the whole family. My group was age 35 to 77!
i really liked this theme park because of the different attraction they offer.it'struly lots of fun
Going down hill. They were out of alot of food and ice cream. Or it was available at the other end of the park
It's so much fun even when you bring your family and friends with
Place was awesome, love to see the precautions that they are taking against COVID-19.
Man been awhile since I've been here, it's still the best! Hopefully they keep on adding!☺☺
Its a great place, spent 6 hours there with the family. Just to expensive for admission.
I mean who doesn't love Wild Water West?! Especially worth the price with evening prices!
Really fun and has alot of things to do for every age group.
Daughter loves this place. It's pretty fun for me too.
The best water park I've went to
Super fun place to take kids. A little over priced but worth it!
Good place for the price and a good place to stop for the kids while going across South Dakota.
Wave pool and lazy river are awesome (according to my teen). Fries are yummy but food overpriced.
The wave pool is tiny waves but it was a fun thing to do
Great WaterPark. Lots of stuff to do. Almost impossible to be board.
This was the worst water park have i jave been to is my 60 years of living
Love it! Fun family activities!
The only water park in town. Therefore we have no other options but it's pretty fun for what it is. Food and drink is costly.
Very family oriented and the safety measures in place made my family feel protected.
The Miami vice drink was spectacular! Fun all the way around
The lifeguards are too strict. Like no sliding on the lily pads? That's stupid.
Clean. Family friendly. Note: you WILL get soaked on the "lazy river."
Sounds like Landon and Drake are a couple of paid moles from Bams Resort in Omaha,Nebraska lol
Amazing place. Felt very safe with all the new protocols for covid
Lines were a bit insane. But probably a bit busier than normal....but 45 min in line is excessive
Great place need a pool for adults to swim but it is a great place to go
Good place to relax and beat the heat will definitely be going back
Super fun place with lots to do and a swim up bar!
Staff and lifeguards are amazing. Great place to visit, time after time!
Great place! Lots of fun things to do!
Fantastic experience! Would come back again
it's ight
we waited 1 minute really fast!!! thanks to emerson.
Love the place but wish they had water warmers brrrr
Fun but the lines can be a little long
So many things to do. Doesn't matter what age you are. So fun!!
Was fun for the whole family. Reasonable priced .
Its family fun something for everyone to do. And its clean
Great for kids and adults alike. Float up bar as well
Had a great time!
Fun day in the sun alot to do only one of the staff was very rude when asked a question
Good size, not too big. Lines need to be better managed.
So much fun. Not that crowed. Will hopefully.come back
I love going here but I with there was free water.
We had a wonderful time there today
Service was good water kinda dirty in some locations price honestly is what kills it
SUPER FUNNN IT WAS SO COOL
Great time!
Cheap food, fun pools and go-karts, when rained out offers free tickets for another day
Great place to have fun and relax
