Reviews of Rocky Point State Park

Hadn’t been here since it was turned into a park, wow! Great spot for a walk, fishing and a car show! Attended the Audrain cars and coffee this past weekend. Great time! It was cool to see the arch and some of the chairlift still intact. Cool memories coming here as a kid/ young adult getting some clam cakes and hitting up the rides!
Paul Al
It could be raining or sunny. Dusk or dawn. No matter what Rocky Point is a beautiful place to visit. I of course would have enjoyed it more if we where back in the 60’s. But with the beautiful views and the friendly walkers (just the ones that say hi) this park will definitely not let you down. Open areas for picnics everywhere. Plenty of tables too but they fill up quick on the weekend. Beach there is nice and not loaded with shells but it is rocky!
Kristen Runvik
My favorite park in Warwick and probably in all of northern Rhode Island. 1.5 mile paved trail with hills, views, and informative plaques along the way. Not too hard or strenuous but a great workout whether you’re walking or running. There are new benches and a new fishing pier. We always take visitors here because of its interesting history and views. Tiny beach for bathing in summer. Lots of rocks to explore with kids. Beautiful in all seasons. Can be very windy though so plan ahead!
Kevin Geremia
Went here for New Year's Eve Fireworks and it was awesome! There wasn't any parking because we got there right at 6pm, but we found a spot to park near the walking path and we walked until we reached the park. The park is along the water of Warwick neck so it has some of he best views in the state. The city of Warwick used to have movies that they would show in the summer and food trucks would show up for the events. Such a gem in RI. Used to be the Rocky Point Amusement Park. That place was great- so isn't this place.
pat willis
Such a nice nostalgic walk with the wife and the dog. We come here quite a bit actually. The dog can go in the water too which is wonderful.
Flora Cintron
Its a very beautiful place to unwind the mind. Take a stroll and maybe hike to the top of the big rock. I wish it could be operative as it was in the old times.
Nicole B Garcia
I went here for an event and it was a great spot for it. A little inconvenient by public transportation to get here and I think the portable toilets were potentially only there for the event but it’s a cute spot and great for events
Seth Dwyer-Frazier
Lovely waterfront park. Small Beach and a handful of walking paths. Well worth a visit.
Mr Sauce
Great place for walking and relaxation with beautiful views
throughout.
Mike Vandergrift
I've never swam here either, but there is a beach. It has a nice paved walking/running loop and plenty of fields to play in. They just rebuilt a pier that is mainly used for fishing. The park occasionally hosts events. Again, worth checking out if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make it a destination. It isn't the same attraction it used to be.
Tatú Melindroso
It's beautiful place, to walk and relax, maybe to take one photos
Melissa Dayz
I remember spending summer days here as a child. The amusement park is gone, but its history lives on. Tucked in right on the Atlantic coast with fabulous views. We will be coming back for a picnic this summer. It was 64* windy with rain today. We kept warm exploring the shore, old buildings, & the caves down the old train tracks. You could spend all day here. It has 2 parking lots, bathrooms, picnic tables, a pavilion on the water, and adventure! Fun times!
Samuel Leroy-Melamed
At my wife's encouragement, we made a short trip here on an unseasonably warm New Year's Day. It was delightful. Despite the fact that it is hardly swimming season, the beach was immaculately maintained.
My son really enjoyed walking on the beach, and up and down the stairs near the beach, and walking along the wall.
He ALSO loved viewing and learning about all of the old park exhibits. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, depth, and brevity of the information available about the various old attractions.
Jay Thakkar
Very Nice place must say good for walk , playing area is also good for children and very clean place
Eric Weaver
Great park, went the "The Great Race" which was hosted here and was quite fun!
Mark Hermans
Great place for a relaxing time. Walk or bike on the paths. Enjoy a picnic. Go fishing, crabbing or swimming. Throw the frisbee around or fly a kite. Just sit back on the grass or on the pier and take it all in.
Spruce Peak
What a great walking space with placards describing the old amusement park attractions, some of which still stand in bits and pieces. It was nice to walk around with my dad and hear about his times growing up visiting this place. Beautiful pier to go out on, benches along the way, and the walkway is easily accessible by foot / walker / stroller / wheelchair
P. Bryan Chase
Beautiful place for walking, sightseeing, or just holding hands with the woman you love.
Raymond Rossiti
My wife I been going to Rocky Point over 7 years now to take walks on the nice track they made around the whole park. It's a beautiful place to go for walks, have a picnic, walk along the beach, hang out, take kids & pets, even fish along with newly built pier. The view is beautiful of Narragansett Bay & living only a couple miles from the park it is a regular place we go to almost every week. Very impressed what the state has done to Rocky Point (Officially making it a state park few years back) such an enjoyable time each time we go there!
Donna Carchia
Beautiful place for a walk along the shore. There is a beach area, but most of the walking areas are elevated. The pier has been rebuilt, and there are benches. I wouldn't sit on them because they are covered in bait, fish guts, and seagull poop. Also, some fishing hooks were left on the ground. Besides the mess made by the fishermen, the place is a beautiful spot with views of Narragansett Bay.
Joy Teed
A public place by the Narragansett Bay to walk on an easy cement path. Handicap access.
Caitlyn Carey
Hot day but took a nice walk anyways and glad we did.. pup got to cool off at the beach.. relaxed under the trees. Great day!
Chris B
Beautiful seaside park with ample parking. A paved trail rings the perimeter and a deep-water pier offers a view of the bay or fishing spot. A small hill offers a literal different perspective. No amenities like bathrooms or camp sites.
Ashley Nicole Torres
A favorite, historical park of Rhode Island with wide-open spaces and fun for all. Explore the ruins of this former amusement park by taking a hike or just wander around the coastline and watch the sunset from the pier. Whatever way you choose to enjoy this state treasure is up to you but I absolutely recommend it.
Dave Almeida (ThatWilyOtter)
A beautiful place for a picnic, a hike, or a walk with the pups. My only suggestion is that it would be FANTASTIC to have Rockwell Amusements or a traveling amusement company set up a CARNIVAL three or four times during the Spring & Summer months to bring back the flavor and the nostalgic feel of the former amusement park. State of Rhode Island, take notes!! 🎡🎢🎠🎆🎪🤡
Tim Sullivan
Great park with some really quiet beaches. The only thing I would watch out for is the glass on the beaches. It's clear that some locals have used the beach for parties and whatnot, without cleaning up all the broken glass. Definitely do not bring your dog down by the water.
Roy Jarvis
I live here. They did an amazing job transforming this into a beautiful park and over the top fishing pier. The walking paths are always well kept. Also tar so easily accessible for wheelchairs or easy walking. Alot of festivals during the year with food trucks music and fireworks. Mayor Frank Picozzi does an amazing job bringing events here. Very dog friendly and people are as well. Great place for the whole family.
Lawrence Pavese Jr.
First off I was born in Pawtucket and recall visiting the Park often if as children, "we've been good". It was some of the best days of my childhood. It still has a draw for those wanting to take long walks or plan a picnic, not to o mention the new fishing pier to spend a relaxing day enjoy what Rhode Island is known the best for...the ocean breezes. Great place for kids of all ages. The State has done a fabulous job keeping it up.
j blunt
This place is so worth going to walk around to see the beautiful view of the bay. Absolutely gorgeous..you can walk your dog. They have picnic tables and nice benches to sit and enjoy the view. So lovely to enjoy a walk by the beach.
Bee Klein
I love this place so much. Almost all of my family members had jobs at Rocky Point as teenagers. I'm so glad they turned it into a beautiful park. You can see seals on the rocks from the beach. I like to have picnics on the grass.
Paul Mader
Beautiful place. I saw kite flyers, power walkers, prom dates strolling and just families hanging out. There is a beutiful pier that jets way out into the water. Very nice place.
Deborah Kempf
Gorgeous views inside a beautiful park!
Michael Renfree
This is a fantastic place to be outside and near the water. Also if you grew up in RI. It is a great nostalgic walk down memory lane
I have been on several no event times. This time was for a fall fair. It was a great time
Kartik Bharadwaj
I really liked the park here. Has a nice shore walk which is very well maintained. Is a good place to relax and the views are great. I also got to know that there used to be an amusement park at the exact same place. You can see some pillars/poles that carried cable car lines here.
Ed Bonetti
Located along the coastline with a safe walking path and a beautiful pier. A calm beach that ideal for families. Plenty of seashells to collect!
Serene and peaceful. Dogs friendly. Family friendly. A real gem!
Laura Michaud
Rocky Point is gorgeous! Lots of area for walking and enjoying the bay. It’s also a great place for fishing. Love what they’ve done with it
Paul Boucher
Walking around the nicely paved path was great, until we ventured off the path to take in views of the water from the higher ground. Just behind the "skyliner" is a great panoramic view of the ocean view. Several informational areas explain how important and historical this site has been during the last 200 years.
Paul LeRoy
Nice setting to walk and enjoy the bay. Porta potties were clean and plenty of food choices. Police presence was welcomed and very good.
Eryn J
Lots of parking. Nice paved trails. 2 Small beach areas and fishing pier. Also some facts relating to Rocky Point that people may not have been aware of.
Timothy Killilea
Like most parks, Rocky Point is open from dawn to dusk. Unlike other parks, Rocky Point State Park is a shallow grave of a former amusement park. With some rolling hills, so woodsy trails and terrain, and some excellent waterfront view, it is the perfect place for a little Rhode Island exploration.
Depending on which parking lot you park in and which entrance you meander through, you'll either see rocky shoreline, or sandy beach. One open field has what looks to be a structure that was once part of a large park, but that is adjacent a paved trail wide enough to share space with bikes.
There is some technical trails adjacent the rocky shoreline that really carries with it some fun and distracting terrain. The issue is that the park is small enough that about 30 minutes of jogging covers a majority of the connecting trail system.
However, there is some sandy beach both south and north of the park, accessing either private shoreline, or a road that may eventually connect to a park north of Rocky Point.
Bring a dog, bring a family, it's diverse enough that you'll find enough natural wonders that you might want to examine it more. Recommended, definitely good for a picnic
Abigail LaFreniere
Rocky Point park is so beautiful :) and they recently did a lot of work on it too. They have little bathrooms now every so often not just port a potties. There are plenty of spots to sit and have a picnic and lots of water access. There can be a lot of people there without it feeling crowded.
Michaela S
This park is lovely! There are plenty of open spaces for running around, paths and beaches for going on leisurely strolls, and rocks to climb through and over. Through the whole park are remainders of the fair ground that was
Sanjyot Varade
Beautiful park! Great for walks/runs/picnics. It is pet friendly too.
Christian Edwards
A beautiful park and one of my favorite spots in Rhode Island for fishing. Plenty of areas to sit and have lunch, a nice beach, and a brand new pier.
Mark Button
After one visit I was fascinated with discovering the history of this iconic park. I recommend everyone who lives in RI visit to see this hidden gem. The plaques scattered around the property give you a sense of what the area used to look like and can be followed like a historical scavenger hunt. If you are looking for place for a walk along the water the park offers that as well. All in all this is a great spot for whatever you are looking for in a public park!
Frankie Marie
Great place to just relax and go fishing or swimming, you can shell hunt, go for walks, runs, ride your bike, anything here. This place is wide and full of adventure. You can do anything if you have a brain and everyone here is respectful.
Mariam Johnson
Very pretty views. Clean bathrooms. Pretty nature. Relaxing and peaceful. A good place to go in the morning while it’s still foggy or take a date, or a family for a picnic 🧺 …
Leah Neira
This is a great place for a jog, a bike ride, or a leisurely walk on the path or down by the beach. Dogs are allowed (on leashes - just dont forget to clean up after them). There's a lot to explore here since it used to be an amusement park, plus there's plenty of space for kids to run around or for picnics. The beach is relatively clean and perfect for people who love collecting shells. There is a bathroom on sight, but I don't recall if there was a sink with soap or just hand sanitizer outside - something to be aware of. Overall a pretty clean and relaxing place.
Mike D
Nice fishing pier, beautiful views. Did catch a few fish, which was exciting. I would definitely go back again, but be warned , later in the day i felt like more less desirables came out. Just my opinion and observation.
Fiona Vaughan
Pretty area of "old RI. Nice walk along the sea front with snippets of the past displayed on boards along the way. Was a popular park with amusements and an Olympic sized pool in its hay day.
Joshua Silva
Nice park to go for a walk. I'd still rather be on the old rides though. Miss that place!
Ben Roth
Beautiful, unique, and historically significant, Rocky Point is one of my favorite parks in the state. Used to be an amusement park, and it still has some structures left with informational signs. There are two small but fairly steep hills, one has a gondola line going up it and the other has an old structure with a ton of graffiti (some good, some... not so much). There’s also a large grassy area between the hills, a small beach, and a fishing pier. Great views of the bay from many different spots in the park. Free parking and dogs are welcome.
Elisabeth Holick
A beautiful park with things to see....there are birds..there are bugs . It is ♿
Mikey's Life
My new favorite place to take my family! Its so beautiful and clean ! Awesome fishing on the pier !
Kate Robinson
Beautiful, open space on the water. Well kept walkway. Plenty of parking. Gorgeous views. Welcome for dogs (on leash) and people exercising. Compost toilets in out houses available.
Nessa Ok
Absolutely love this park. It’s sad it’s not an amusement park anymore but I’m glad that it’s history has been preserved. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
Melissa Topp
Quiet, peaceful, great place to explore. Took in a beautiful sunrise here this morning.
Kate M
Wishing there was more to do at the park and disappointed the grass isn't regularly mowed. Ecstatic this area remains undeveloped, but wishing there were some swings or a slide or something. Plenty of plaques are scattered across the location informing you of a time since passed. Really bummed they knocked down the old theme park sign.
Alexandria Hawk
I love bringing my dog here to play in the water. Very beautiful and looks cleaned up each time I’ve gone.
Matthew
Great place to take the dog or kids. Lots of shoreline access with a nice walking trail. This place used to be a popular amusement park if you didn't know. The rides are long gone but you can still see some remnants of the area as it was when they were there.
Mona Zarrin
Watched our nephew run the race track. Safe for kids. Dog friendly beach. Beautiful view. Can't wait to go again!
Roey Tzezana
A beautiful rocky beach with a strip of sand and water, and a huge park. My kids just love climbing the rocks here.
Lee Traeger
A bygone era. Hard to imagine what was here. Take time to view the historical photos of what once was here: a saltwater pool, where the 1936 Olympic swimming trials were held, The amusement park, An arch from 64-65 New York worlds fair, a 1914 exhibition game between the Providence Grays (Babe Ruth) and Chicago Cubs. The baseball game was played here because of the Blue Laws (read about that crazy period). It's a park now, gone back to Nature and all its beauty.
Ryan Mahoney
Decent park with some easy hiking and a small beach. The place is clearly showing its age, but that is also part of the charm.
Lisa
Really fun place to go and walk around. There’s always dogs here too. The water is nice to watch at sunset.
Beth Smith
We always have a great time at Rocky Point. The new pier is great! The walking path is level and safe for elderly, young ones and roller blading. The fields are great to run around in as well.
People don't pick up after their dogs though and there aren't any rangers there to regulate. That is the only bummer.
Derek C
Excellent place to stroll with a nice ocean view, and for those that had the pleasure of visiting Rocky Point Park to feel a bit nostalgic!
Ali B
I miss the good old days with all the rides! It is nice the location was saved and some areas highlight the popular rides with signs.
Jeff Girard
This park is so beautiful and it is fun to see out so far from the land. We had a lovely day there. Thank you!
Adela Hogan-Caron
So pretty. Great place for a walk. Bring the pups too. They will love it.
dirtbag
Love to sit here and just look over rhe water. Very peaceful place. Bring your dog!
Anthony D'amico
Beautiful park with a breathtaking view of the bay. Great for walking/jogging/hiking, fishing, picnicking, kite flying, or just taking a stroll down memory lane. Some pieces of the old amusement park still stand (The Skyliner and the Arch) and they have posts strewn about the park with the historic significance of where you are standing. The nostalgia alone that some will feel by being there is enough reason to visit.
Stitch and Stones
Much different and better than expected! Still a beautiful little local spot which of course brings back some amazing memories.
iEateggs Everymorning
I played vintage base ball here and it was really nice. I didn't get a chance to walk around and go down to the water though. I bet it would be nice.
Diyana K
Beautiful serene park with amazing view of the ocean. There are benches that you can sit on around the walking trail leading to the beach. Totally worth a visit
Kriss S
Great walking trails through the wooded areas near the water, but can be a bit slippery. The beaches are generally quiet, and most clean up after themselves. The paved walking route is wooded towards Rocky Beach, which is a nice sun relief. Great dog walking!
PaaX Us
It's a beautiful place to just have a walk, go fishing, tan or read a book. I take my kids here and they play by the water while my husband fish. They enjoy this place so much.
Ian the Hairy
I am glad there is a state park instead of new condos or houses. A great view of the bay. Great place to bring kids to run around or have a picnic. A beach is also a nice touch. A walking path around the park also available.
ABLadam
Great beaches to walk along. It's always fun to come out here to find seaglass or to fish off of the new pier. Rocky point also has a trail that's fun to take the dog on in the mornings.
Mike Marsello
Great place for meditation, fishing and wildlife watching
Heidi Hawes
Loved this place. Not the same as the amusement park but a great hike and beautiful scenery.
SAMANTHA SMITH
Gorgeous! Nothing better than climbing rocks by the water and taking beautiful pics. Very peaceful
Nektarios Varras
Clean and safe place to walk with a beautiful view.
Timothy Hawk
Very nice beach. It is clean and not as busy as other beaches. The walk from the parking lot to the beach is very nice as well. This will probably become one of our favorite places.
Boston Bean
What an amazing place! It's hard to believe this is the place I went as a kid to ride the best flume around and eat those delicious clam cakes!!
Ric
Have not been in over 30 years. Looks great. So happy it was left alone and not developed.
aileen rivera
always beautiful and breathtaking
Lori Regli
It's nice but really liked it when it was an amusement park and went to the shore dinner hall for clam cakes and clam chowder.
Olga Stadnyk
Great place for a walk. The beach is super rocky and not the cleanest, but the hiking trail is gorgeous with the view of the bay.
Nancy Richmond
I have been at all seasons of the year , easy to find peace, to explore with children, anything on the Ocean is A + with me !
Bonnie Sweeney
A beautiful walk along the bay and all around where the amusement park was. We love the signs that tell what was on each site.
Sherry Clary
Just love this place. So beautiful to be by the bay, always a nice breeze and great scenery
KAREN LESLIE BARRY
Very nice spot for a picnic or a walk by the water. Peaceful and clean!
Lynette Gemma
A beautiful day for a walk near the shore. Rocky Point used to be an amusement park. Thr walking path is well maintained . The pier is a new addition and open to all who want to fish or stroll its length.
Robert Williams Jr (Willie)
Went three years ago. I was so sad. Today we went there and they have a pier to 🐟 from. It's nice. …
Lisa Fritsche
Very relaxing and everyone is friendly. And the views and sunrise are beautiful.
Kelly Jean
Wonderful day. Nice to see there is still additions added to preserve this historical place.
Gary Manfredi
Beautiful Park,Lots of Great Memories as a Kid,Still remember the Rides,Shore Dinner Hall and the Salt Water Pool..
Kwaku Kumi
It's hot. It's cool. It has great trails. A lot of folks walking dogs. Nice pier to fish off. Ample parking and beach.
Rich Watrous
Great walk about, on one of the first days of spring warmth trying to get started. Looking forward to returning when it is green! ;)
Debra Duquette
They have little stands that tell about the park and rides/attractions. Some pieces of the amusement park are still standing and are left for nostalgia's sake. Nice walking path. I highly recommend movies in the park. Fun event with free parking and food trucks. The movie is shown on a huge inflatable screen, with a smaller screen on the side showing it with closed captioning. No lifeguards at the beach, but still nice, with picnic tables nearby.
Jennifer Antonelli
The new pier is finally finished! Many benches available on the pier to sit and soak in the view.
jennifer hopson
Its a great park for a quick loop walk, great views and the new pavilion is so nice!
Joseph Cardillo
Right on the water. Spectacular views and a nice pier. Lots of walking and hiking trails.
Robert Light
interesting history and nice views of the bay, a few of the rides remain as rusted artifacts
Pat Paldino
Great views and nice easy walk on paved surface.
Frey Sigurnbjornson
Great place for walks ,picnics with a nice pier to look at the bay. I would plant more trees and let the grass grow so it doesn't dry out.
Manoj Nagdev
Nice park to walk, run, play, picnic and spend time with family and friends. Enjoy scenic beauty and views of bay area.
linds b
Clean, quiet and peaceful. With walking paths, a pier for fishing, huge open grassy areas, and a little beach... there really is a little bit of everything.
Krishna Martur
It has nice walking path along sea shores and lot of open space for kids to play
3v3lynd4
Beautiful, interested, big, excellent place for a day
James Alldredge
Great place to hike and or train your dog.
There's two beaches, and plenty of fields to enjoy, with a paved walking track, and trailed though out the woods around the entire park.
Lana Dufour
Great place to walk.
Aleksandar Cupkovic
Just came from Maine in RI and pretty much lookalike scenario....nice & relAXING !
Danny T
Not much left of the old amusement park except for the old tram and the metal Arch. There's an old stone foundation on a hill to the left of the arch looking toward the water and a small gauge rail section by the top of the tram.
Sarah Francesca
So beautiful, good calming short nature walk.
Parker Carbine
Loved the area there is a cool history to it and some cool rocks and small caves if you are feeling adventurous
Melanie Carrazzo
This a beautiful walking path that winds through woods, grasses and along the coast line. If you have nostalgia for Rocky Point amusement park, there are signs which provide information about the park.
Michael Caron
I used to come here as a kid when it was an amusement park. Neat to see it now
William Tisdale
Great place to go for a walk and enjoy the veiws!
Paulina Panek
Beautiful! Nice place to walk the dog. The only downside is they do not have many doggie stations.
John Curran
Fun stop remembering good times a lot of wonderful. Memorable
Denise Tate
Beautiful park/beach that offers a relaxing spot to run, swim, or sit. I love it because dogs are allowed.
Mark Newman
Great memories but was sad when we pulled in here on my last visit to Rhode Island. It was almost abandoned; so few people seemed to be here taking in the view, the air. Don't think of it as an abandoned amusement park; it's an evolving, historic location in Warwick. Come down and enjoy this waterfront property! I really did, and so will you.
Alastair Cartwright
Good views but not too much there. Will be good when they finish the pier.
Lester Mendoza
Love coming here to relax, walk around. Great for a picnic. We took kayaks here and had a great time. Lots of fishermen here. Plenty of parking. Great area to play catch or Frisbee or play yard games. Has a post apocalyptic vibe to it with a cool ocean front feeling
Cheryle Gifford
Beautiful, easy walk through the former amusement park. Lots of great memories for me, lots of new things to see for my granddaughter who never experienced Rocky point. We were both very impressed!
Christopher O'Hare
A lovely walk with the ghosts of 1936 Olympic swimmers. Make sure to visit the weird graffiti covered structure at the top of the hill where teens smoke their weed and drink 40 ouncers.
J D
Perfect wide open grounds flying kites sitting by the water and running around with the kids😎😁😃 …
Tiffany Bettez
We love going on the path at Rocky point and exploring the little beaches off of it.
Jill Chattman
Very nice park. Great place to walk around or have a picnic
Joseph Del Signore
beautiful park always clean and the pier they just built is beautiful great for fishing off of
evelyn gonzalez
Excellent place to go and relax. Take your family and Fur Babies for walks and breath some fresh air and watch the boats. You can have a picnic.
tammyrules2000
There is so much open space, it accommodates a variety of uses. If you want to picnic cool, if you want to fish cool, if you want to swim cool, if you want to do yoga cool, if you want to play ball with your dog (as long as your dog listens to your commands) cool, if you like shade or sunshine it's there. Enjoy this hidden gem.
David Duval
Always a great place to take trip to. Brings back some great memories.
Cheryl McNulty
Memories flooded back. Wish there were more remnants of places that were there though. Without the skyliner remnants, it would be not as interesting.
Susan Clark
All in all it's a nice, small park with plenty of Open space and some nice paths. You can stay in the grassy area or walk along the water. Lots of cool photo spots too. The parking area is huge and there are 4-5 clean port-a-Johns.
Rachel Coughlin
Awesome place to go for a walk or jog. Leashed Dogs welcome! Beautiful views of the Narragansett Bay surrounding the park! The newly built Pier is pretty awesome too! Great for families and a great place for a picnic! Outdoor restrooms. One of my favorite parks!
shannon k
Not the best sand. Theme park ruins. Spectacular ocean view. Go often & help to keep it clean!
Tami G.
Rhode Island landmark. It's a great place to walk around and see Narragansett bay. A new pier and benches to sit. All while reminiscing about the amusement park that use to be there. Remnants are still there!
Zoey M
A city park built from the ruins of an old amusement park, with ample parking, trails, Beach access, and a pier for fishing.
cindy oviedo
My kids and i enjoyed pur time here its a nice, small quaint little gem.
Helen Griffiths
It was so clean and such a nice place for a walk. There is a dock to fish off. Plenty of benches to sit and rest. If I could rate it higher then 5 stars I would
Paul Allen
A wonderful place to be near the edge of the ocean and enjoy the waves. Not really a swimming destination. There is a nice well built modern pier you can walk out to enjoy the wildlife and waves. Excellent open grounds to fly a kite or walk. There are remnants of the old amusement park like an arch and the edges of a swimming pool with signs showing the history of the area. Could use more bathrooms. The ones present are new but single person only so you can have a wait. Do not expect food courts or amusement rides. It's just a place to relax and enjoy the ocean in the Ocean State!
Pink Lemonade
I love looking for rocks as well as finding friends
Keith Carrier
Good scenery with lots of History.
It was a beautiful day for vintage baseball...
Harris Eidelman
Beautiful place. Great paths for walking, running, biking, and more! Lots of parking which is awesome. There's also a dock for fishing!
There's also a lot of history here, with plaques and structures that tell us about the amusement park that was.
Overall a great place to go! Alone, with friends, family, it's wonderful!
Jean Ashton
Beautiful views of the bay! Lots of different terrain to walk.
Jennifer Leigh Anthony
One of my favorite parks in general.
bob deering
Saturday, 16th of Oct. 72 degrees & a good strong easterly wind buffeted walkers, dogs and bicyclists. The city & state continue to improve the park, now, if we visitors treat the park like we own it-we do, more generations will visit and enjoy Rocky Point Park as others have since the 1800's.
Alicia
love this beautiful place and the new boardwalk is great!
Nancy Lataille
Beautiful free state Park. Great views on the walking path and off of the new fishing pier.
Jamal Burley
Different sceneries will blow your mind as a photographer. Nice and quiet only thing is the parking is outside the park so be prepared to walk alot
jennifer porter
Beautiful, well kept park, a nice walk with gorgeous scenery. The fishing dock is really nice. It's not the park we knew as kids but I love it so much more.
Bill Phelps
I haven't been there since it was an amusement park. Now it's a state park and a nice place to walk and listen to nature.
David Simonelli
Nice walk by the bay. Park is well maintained. There is plenty of parking,in the second lot. Dogs allowed on a leash.
sf
This park is really well kept! The middle area is a bit swampy in places, but overall it’s really nice. There’s a cute new pier that people fish off of and all of the leftover park things are really cool to see and hang out near!
CHRIS CASAVANT
Great morning walk to start the long weekend
Kelly W
Such a cool spot to take a nice walk by the ocean and then sit for a picnic after. We were so happy to find this little gem of a place that's away from the crowded beaches in RI. Lots of cool shells and a nice breeze. The amusement park remnants are also really cool to see.
Warlord M
An impressively refurbished site that makes for an excellent scenic park location with the major bonus of being a fascinating historical landmark. Come for the amusement park history, stay for the coastal views and recreational opportunities
Ray Lynch
I miss the old Rockey Point. Rides and food. I hope they do something with the land around the old Rockey Point or at least the food.
Maria Kontos
Went to Warwick Rhode Island for the weekend with the dogs. it was great weather so we decided to get outside and take the dogs for a walk. We did a little research and came across Rocky Point State Park. We went and we are so glad we did. What a great place. Very much worth going .
TANK HITMAN
Went to see a kids movie in the park.
We were in a large field area and at night time you can see more stars there than anywhere ive been in ri lately
Christopher Brodeur
Its a beautiful walking area. The water views are incredible of the bay and the memories of those of us that are old enough to have visited the park in its hayday will flash back to some of the best times in our lives. Please get a copy of the Rocky Point DVD. Time travel is possible even if it is in our own minds. Get it then go there and go back in time. Chris B
Lamiah Munns
Food truck festivals here are awesome on summer weekends!! Otherwise just a great park to walk, bike, or just chill!
Christina LeeAnne
Nice place to walk around with a little interesting flare if abandoned amusement park remains - not much but enough to make me glad I went to check it out. It’s not just some park.
Kristin McShane
Former amusement park turned state park. Beautiful views and great walking paths.
Kara Pepin
Nice paved walk and my kids loved being by the water and in the woods. I love the history behind everything here!
Matthew Casey
Walking trails, picnic tables, small rocky beaches, and fishing in the remnants of the old amusement park.
ismael correa
Best place to go for a nice walk let the kids explore. Its very open. a lot of history roming around.
Nathaniel Terpening
Beautiful and rugged, with well kept walking trails and plenty of open space to explore and wander through the remains of a once wonderful amusement park and destination years ago. Signs show images of different locations in the park where rides, attractions, restaurants, and other features once stood and tell stories of the earlier days of the park. And there's a beach! Well, a Rocky Beach but the water is nice and there aren't usually many people around. It was great to jump in the water then stroll along looking at all of the sights.
Linda Marold
It's beautiful there! Nice walking path...great views...and if you like a little rock climbing..it s all there!!
Kenneth Dolan
Brought back great memories from the 80's and 90's. Park was very clean and presentable. Multiple people were attending a yoga session where the old pool was located. At the end of the day, when you return to your car, you get to enjoy flavored lemonades from the lemonade truck.
Rosa Serrano
Beautiful place to relax and take a walk.
Rhona Smith
Since my first visit a few years ago, there have been improvements that include additional parking and handicapped parking. Turn right at the stop sign to reach it. There are wide walkways that stretch a good distance. Great place to walk dogs. There are signs posted along the way that explain historical features of the park. There are spacious fields for ball playing. I noticed a rest room, also, near the arch. A great place to visit.
Sadok Bazile
Nice park for a walk and dog friendly
Isaac L (ThrawnsPawn)
Lovely open landscape, with vestiges of the amusement park past. What was really surprising was the excellent signage and the deep history this area has had for not just little Rhode Island but the country. A+
Michelle Nelson
Very nice area to walk through, bike ride or walk ur dog. If u ever went to rocky point when they were open u try to picture where each of the rides where...😥. There are 2 entrances in which u can get to the walking paths. …
Albert Heroux
Quiet nice view of ocean great place to take a nice walk
Mariah Isaac
Great place for a walk
Cam T
Good walking path along the harbor, some surprises if you really explore.
Mark Mcjunkins
Rocky Point State Park is a very nice place to spend the day. With its nice walking trails and large fields for sporting events or just picnics or concerts in the Summertime it's very nice. They even have a nice little beach too. The fishing is good too.
Jamie Lynn Pacheco
Beautiful, dog friendly walking area with lots of open space to fly kites, picnic, or just relax.
Katie B.
Beautiful place to walk by the water and a nice trip through memory lane if you remember the amusement park. There is a walking path that loops around where the amusement park used to be and a beautiful, relatively new pier. There are 2 entrances/parking lots. If you enter through the one with the official state park sign and drive straight through, there is handicap parking close to the water. There are also porta johns near the large parking lot by the official entrance. (The bathroom buildings were closed today but those are only a step up from a porta john anyway.) Today we also noticed that the large field was very soggy/ muddy towards the middle. Between that and the dog poop that owners left behind, watch where you step!
Khaleel Ismail
An amazing yet really low-key beach to hangout at with great views, sandy areas, grassy picnic spots, and trails connecting them all. Definitely a great place to relax after a long day
Melissa Dixon
I love the wide open field, the greenery and of course the ocean waves and breeze. I miss the amusement park, I grew up there but the nostalgia hits me every time we go. My son loves running through the fields and exploring a little off path hiking in the wooded areas.
Michael Wheeler
Wouldn't normally give a 5 star rating to this but since the recent parking lot addition it makes this area very pleasant to travel in. Great for walking dogs, or exercising. The beach front is alright but a decent amount of glass and unfortunately not sea glass. LOTS of parking and some historic structures are left in place just not many.
Karthik N
Wonderful beach with walking path
David Branagan
Nice place for a walk. There's a paved path or you can walk along the shore. They allow dogs leashed. You are required to pick up after the dogs. No trash bins, you take your trash with you. A lot of open space. Good for picnics. I didn't see any picnic tables and only a few benches. So you may want to bring chairs if you are going to hang around. There's a beach where kids can play.
Melissa Rollings
Very beautiful, free parking and dog/ family friendly. The actual walking distance is not that long. Would need to do multiple loops for exercise. The view of the water is beautiful. Can be breezy by the water so dress accordingly!
Andrew Napolillo
I love walking there, enjoying the scenery and the peace and quiet.
Elizabeth Holick
It is beautiful...a must see park ...please don't litter though
Kayla Viveiros
Nice park, great for kiting the kids really enjoyed it! Quite by the water, many places to sit and look out at the water. Lot and lots of fishing. The biggest downfall was that it has a small beach for family but it was filled with fishermen. My children couldn't go into the water, I was fearful of them being caught with a hook. I think that the beach area should be off limits to fishing. There are lots of rocks to fish from.
rhonda walmsley
Was great reading the signs around the park about the amusement park that was once there along with seeing some of the remnants that are left. Great for walking, picnics. Great dock and view of the Narragansett bay!
Bradly Widener
Great, open place for our dog. The views are beautiful, and it hasn’t been too crowded yet. There’s even a great little stretch of beach where there aren’t many waves and the water is pretty shallow. It’s a clean place and a welcome (and close) temporary escape to the bay.
Val Phillips
It's more of a people place not so, much for dogs.
Amberlee Perry
I loooooove how they cleaned up the park. It's beyond beautiful and a great place to clear your head. The bathrooms are great and solar powered AND clean! Everyone who visits the park has been friendly and welcoming. My dog loves meeting new friends here!
Lisa Chenail
Not a lot of people here. Beach is practically unused. I don't understand why there is a huge open field between the parking lot and the beach. It is a huge section of unutilized space. No benches on that side of the park.
Zé DeSousa
Great place to visit ,walking, fishing bring back great memories great RI amusement park so glad we still have this great park to enjoy!
Scott
Nice walking paths. Good open fields. Its nice to see that there are informational signs that tell about various landmarks that used to be, which also includes Fun Facts. The few historical landmarks were left behind are nostalgic to see. Overall a decent place.
Hugo Felicio
Great for big family functions and soccer size fields next to the water.
Michael Cipolla
I enjoy the quick walking path this place provides. I enjoy the abandoned look the park has with some of the old equipment still around. It tells a story. On top of that, you have a great view of all of the towns on the Narragansett Bay including views of the Jamestown Bridge.
Geoffrey Marchant
Brings back a lot of memories from my youth. Place is clean. GreT place to walk, has a 1.5 mile track that goes through some wooded areas then out along the bay. I recommend going to enjoy the ocean breeze
Sheluv. Jos3
Very beautiful and not littered
Melissa Shires
Great place to take a walk, go to the beach, walk the dog, have a family picnic, or just relax. Husband and I have been going out there every weekend since we discovered the place.
Brenda Greene
I was a '70s kid with countless fond memories of the old amusement park. I visited it again for the first time in many years this fall. While I am still nostalgic for the old rides and the midway, and all the good times with my friends, I am happy to see that it has a new life. The views really are beautiful, and I never really saw them when I was obsessed with my next turn on the Music Express or the Flume. The historical markers are nice -- would like to see more of some of the other rides we knew and loved.
Holly Green
Rocky Point was clean and well maintained. Great place to spend the day!
Pat P
Great place to walk. Mostly paved. Nice pier to walk out on. Views are terrific!
Brooke R.C.
Great spot for a quick walk (pave pathway) with entries to beach areas. If you remember Rocky Point amusement park, there are small traces of it like the Skyliner and the outline of the salt water pool. There are also spots that denote where other rides or special aspects of the park's history were with a brief explanation. It's wonderful to reflect on past memories here. There's plenty of parking too and special events like food truck days take place during the summer/fall months.
Chris Sweeney
Excellent place for a walk near the water with that ocean smell.
Can be a bit cold bring a sweater in case..
Juli Grey
Lots of history here! Beautiful view! Lots to walk around and see and it's all got information signs to tell you about what your looking at. Good place to picnic, walk the dog, hang out with friends or family, sun tan, fish.
Diane McIntyre
Beautiful place. Please paint over graffiti to discourage others from following suit.too nice to be marded by people who don't care. I go there as often as I can. One of the nicest places in warwick.restrooms are clean.the only thing that is annoying is the person flying a drone that whining over you when you come that for peace and quiet.
*****
Hannah Wiech
Good walk, awesome graffiti and a few little side trails to wander down.
Kathryn Sheehan
Honestly, this was way better than I anticipated. I thought the kids would be bored in an hour. They had a great time reading about the old amusement park, walking the little train, visiting the beach, and climbing some rocks in the wooded area. My only disappointment is that there's no Braille on a single plaque. Everything with information about the old park was lacking Braille. It was disappointing that any step to inclusiveness wasn't taken
Scott D
Cool place, decent amount of history behind these old fair grounds. Nice walk, a pier, a small (rock and shell) beach, and its dog friendly. Will definitely go again.
AF Veteran
Awesome place to go for a walk. Or a picnic lunch. Very large field for frisbee or other activities. Bring your bug spray. Read the history signs about the park. Check out the cave and huge rocks at the top of the skyride. And go see the round building on the hill closer to the water. It looks like they're rebuilding the pier for boats to dock. Even though the state really lost out when Rocky Point Park closed I think they've done a really good job at making this a nice place to go.
Craig Ruginski
Beautiful former amusement park saved from development! Awesome walking, fishing, picnicking spot. Dotted with pocket beaches and beautiful views in every direction! Always being upgraded and great events. Food Truck Night, movie nights and more👏 …
Matthew Greene
Beutiful place! A great view of the ocean and it preserves history so well. Quite impress with a detailed report on the reserves. Like a blast from the past!
Zahida Izhar
Very nice improvements I would love to go there again soon
David Gregg
Former site of famous amusement park, now largely converted to passive recreation, just a few odd features left. Odd combo of interesting natural resources on the one hand and degraded resources on the other. Positives: Fishing pier, a couple little pocket beachs, great walking paths and trails, some paved, good birding, great views, wide open lawn for frisbee, etc. Negatives: Crazy amount of invasive plants, degraded freshwater streams, and there's dog poop EVERYwhere, which is too bad...pick up after your pets you stupid people, you're wrecking an otherwise pretty nice place.
Martha Pilarte
Beautiful place for fishing.
Maureen Mitchell
Great firework show!
Gordon MacDonald
Good old rocky point located on the west side of Narragansett bay on Warwick neck.So many people have so many happy memories of Rocky point. This area was a popular amusement park for many years. Like so many amusement parks of the area it closed. But for the longest time it hung in there. The city of Warwick was smart to not let it go to developers. Instead they kept it as open space for everyone to use. Great place to walk and enjoy views of the bay. There are some abandoned remnants of rides and placards with information about the site.See if you can find the old ball field where Babe Ruth hit one out of the park and into the bay. Until then meet you under the arch.
Elizabeth Sullivan
Beautiful spot along the waters way with plenty of greenery and scenery....peaceful
Christine Chivers
Great views and lots of places to walk.
Bob Landry
I love to walk the paths at Rocky Point. I spent many happy days there in my youth.
Clam Cakes and Chowder!
Patrick Thayer
Very nice place to go over a walk or walk a dog before a very friendly recommend
Catherine Daily
A surprisingly lovely State Park featuring scenic vistas. This is a very walkable park, having been created in place of the now long-defunct Rocky Point Theme Park.
Perfect spot for a picnic or some shell collecting, this habitat is home to Piping Plovers, an adorable shorebird.
With the heatwave this summer, walks can be rewarded with an ice-cold Del's lemonade. (Out of towners, this is a cash-only business.)
bill terry
A great place to walk our dog. Nice walking trail right on the water.
John Martin
A must see on the local list. Great place for a walk. Lots of Poke stops!
Kayak Fishing Country
Excellent place to fish from shore, or by kayak, of you have a cart. You can wheel it down to the shore, and right from beach, thanks to a ramp that was built back in the 1930s. There are subtle reminders of the park's once favorite rides located throughout the grounds - the old trolley tracks, the decaying skylift towers and cable, the iconic hoop from the 1964 World's Fair in NYC, the old fishing pier (now destroyed by hurricane Sandy), and the old saltwater pool (now filled in with grass). There are paths around the park with little info signs telling you about the park's icons of the heyday.
Jilly bean
It was mindblowing seeing the former amusement park, looking all 'parky' now. Nice walking trails by the water. And random plaques along the way, explaining the history of the place. It was a pleasant suprise. Very nostalgic. Lots of old memories there but with a whole new feel to it. ☺👍🌅 …
Andrew Henthorne
GREAT place for a walk, run, etc, with or without the dog (leashed)! Plenty of free parking, terrific views of the Bay, and a fishing area! Bring your lunch and enjoy a relaxing picnic. Fly kites!!
Jeanne Snyder
Great place for a walk or bike..
Lisa L
Clean and beautiful. Nice place to walk
kurt s
Great Little Diversion -
We were looking for a walking trail (while visiting family) but short on time to run North.
Rocky Point came up on 2 search reviews I use often so I figured it was good!
It was short, and easy for all ages - paved (unless you take a few old paths) perfect for bikes, strollers, and elderly.
Parking lot can fill on the weekend, but there is space on the street
MaryAnn McCann
So Beautiful!! Plenty of room to enjoy the scenery, take a nice long walk, fish. Definitely a place to visit.
Maureen Kennedy
The views are spectacular and you get every site of New England. The water, the fields with natural flowers, the marshlands with bunnies and birds and the woodlands. Its just lovely and so close to home!
Mel B
The Rocky Point Amusement Park was such a wonderful childhood memory. Hadn't been back since it closed. Was amazed by what an incredible job they've done creating this walking path. Beautiful way to enjoy the next chapter of the Rocky Point journey.
David Urban
Very beautiful spot. There is a toilet. It would be nice to see Rhode Island make this into a State Park. Maybe some benches, a pier, in summer have Del's Peter Palagi. Great place to walk, picnic, fish, fly a kite.
Jonathan Lopez
It was great to go see what was left of the amusement park, and go do some photography and videography there. It's peaceful to walk through as well, with a great view from the beach.
Jason Wendoloski
Beautiful Views looking towards the Eastbay, Islands and bridges. Look forward to a Pier being built in the near future. The City does a nice job keeping up on things. The other half of the park which is owned by the State I believe, could be use some better upkeep.
Lee R.
It was so great to get back there and see all the great memories of childhood into my teens at the Park.It is a great park now too.Great water view.Great for walking.Great for fishing .I love how some of the old peaces of rides are there and they marked them with a sign and some history of the park.Highly recommended.I walked in and I could picture the park and memories. It made me so happy I was able to be apart of the fun and history.Thank you.Lee
Brandon Lamoureux
Very nostalgic. A literally trip down memory lane. Very nice park now with tid bits of history, both physical and written on plaques all over the place. Lovely place to go. For a picnic or walk or even a day out near the water.
Christina Andrade
beach, ocean, walking paths in an area that is very well kept!
Patricia McDonald Fortier
Great open spaces with walking paths along the bay. Perfect for a picnic or fishing off the pier.
Stephanie Lema
It's not what it was years ago. But it's still beautiful. I'd like or rather hope somethings can get reintroduced to the area. Maybe a spot for chowder and clam cakes on the water, even bringing back the salt water pool. It would add to the experience for the new as we who enjoyed it many years ago.
The Satanic Mechanic
Very beautiful restoration of wildlife and landscape with a touch of machinery from the rockypoint amusement park and a beautiful fishing pier . and beautifully paved walking trails
Cheryl Ann Lainhart
Nice walking path.
They do have closer handicap parking if you go to the left side of park. Area that would be Back Entrance to Rocky Point.
In progress of building a new pier.
Bill Ebeling
Loved it! Nice trails, beautiful scenery
GREG GUITARS
Most visitors probably won't know that this entire site and beyond, was formerly the Rocky Point Amusement Park. Included in the attraction was: A Large Shore Dining and Dance Hall [serving the famous Rhode Island Style Red Clam Chowder [GREAT! while listening to a Big Band or later, a good local Rock N Roll Band], A large gaming midway, a huge Ferris Wheel [with a view second to none], a small gauge Steam Locomotive [which would take you around the park and into the woods], a colorful Gondola ride to view the entire park and shining sparkling bays. Oh and did I mention, an Olympic Size deep Salt Water Swimming and Diving Pool complete with a High-Dive multi-level tower platform. It took it's supply water directly from Greenwich Bay! This place was a paradise for families, stray teens, young lovers, and just the whole town. It was really something for Warwick to be proud of! And as a long time resident of Warwick, it was a very sad day indeed, when town council decided it wasn't important enough for the town to continue to operate. In my view a ridiculous conclusion, as I could see it making money and shining today. It's nice that it's a walking park, but as an amusement park it entertained many more thousands, while introducing them to the Beauty of the Bays at the same time! It's demise symbolizes America's fear to lead, to challenge, to let go every now and then and have a good time! We've replaced that attitude with insurance companies dictating policy and style. Shame! Just one native's opinion I suppose.
Sarah Miner
Clean and family friendly. Great place for a walk or just to collect sea glass and shells
Andrea Rose
It's a very beautiful walking path. I'm infinitely grateful that this became public land did not become a condo complex.
Although, my vote is to reopen Rocky Point Park!! Had to say it! Can't stop a Warwick girl from dreaming. :)
Donna Holcombe
Nice paved path. Nice location on the Bay. Good signs marking past locations in the prior amusement park.
Charlene Santagata-Abbott
Great walking when the sun is out. Chilly when the wind blows. Great scenery.
Peter Maranci
Although greed and stupidity destroyed the wonderful Rocky Point Amusement Park, we still have the walking paths there to enjoy. There are solar powered bathrooms, beautiful walks by the seaside, and a few ruined reminders of what was once a very fun place.
Matt D.
Beautiful scenery. The beach is small and the atmosphere of the park is obviously gone but it's still a nice place to just hang out and enjoy the view.
Shaun Hunter
This place is amazing!! Come from far and wide to remember the amazing times spent at this glorious place. The nostalgia is still in the air. I'm only 40...so I can imagine how those older then me feel when there with their more plentiful and distant memories of the salt pool and the shore house. Wonderful place. I love it. My kids love when I tell the stories of my years there. They always say, "I wish it was still there daddy"! And I say, Me too!
Danielle Deely
Beautiful views with limited crowds and dog-friendly!
Jean Pigeon
More benches would be nice hats off to getting this open to the public again. Love that toy have all access. Love that they left what was left of sky liner & informative posted about former areas of the park.
Myrton Smith
The walk from parking area to pier takes a few minutes.
Handicap parking is available. There are eleven spots.
Porta potties have been spotted but I think that is for
events and not a full time deal.
C'mon, let's go fishing!
Allen J
Very nice walk for my dog and me. Plenty of parking....although if the lot ever fills up there will be too many people.
Michael Ferland
Very nice State Park. Well kept grounds.
Great photo opportunities!
Sabrina Dumount
It's such a peaceful an relaxing place to either walk around, look for shells or sea glass, fish, walk on the rocks ,the beach, walk your dogs. I love it here! I remember coming here as a kid when the amusement park was open

Fireworks were awesome, parking was great. Getting out was a mess, big lines for food trucks
Paul Rezendes
Beautiful Bayside walk. The pier is a excellent spot to sight see across the bay.
Jen S.G.
Great place for a walk or to run around with kids with a bike or kite
Cara Nason
Very pretty. Walking bath goes by the beaches and green spaces, so there's lots to see. There are also some benches in case you need a break, though I wish they were spaced out better.
Bethany Rivera
This place is so beautiful and big, with lots of parking options. Very clean and great for a walk near the water.
Susan Byron

An all around beautiful place with great sea glass and fishing spots. I can't wait to try out the new fishing pier when it's done! ***Dog friendly, leashed and they provide bags!

I miss the amusement park. It is a whole different place now but it is wonderful in it's own way. The water views are magnificent and the walking paths are well maintained.
CLAUDIA GASTON
Very historical and pretty.
David Carroll
One of the best places to walk your dog spectacular views of the Narragansett bay
Heather Vierra
Love walking and taking the dog to Rocky Point. It is well maintained and they continue to add more features like the new upcoming pier.
Karah Nasif
I do s lot of great fishing here, plus it's nice to see some of the old rocky point
Sue Figueira
Love the fishing pier. Only thing is that it needs a public trash can . Its becoming filthy because there is no access to trash cans.
Diana Scorpio
Clean, quiet. A great place to relax.
Kevin Downer
An amazing transformation from what this park once was. Absolutely spectacular at Sunset.
Easily accessible paths, plenty of open space and all the sights and sound of being on the bay.

Still surprised they don't advertise this park more often. Visit, you'll be surprised what they turned this park into. Make sure you take a walk into the wooded area near the waters edge.

Jen Ross
Great place to bring the dog and kids
David Sarro
I love the park, but it does make me sad to think of how much fun I had as a kid when it was a park, and all the amazing history there. I wish someday it could become a park again, or maybe a marina and public pool.
Nate Hardisty

Good place for having a nice walk near water. Place is not crowded. Wind is a little high in this place so take your jackets and caps if it's colder weather.

Warwick has a jewel like the phoenix rising from the ashes of our youth.1.8 mile bike and walking trail with scenic Vista's along upper Narragansett Bay. Gatherings for the public like movie 🎥 nite. Catering nite and maybe soon music by the Bay. Exciting days ahead for Warwick and it's famous Rocky Point! …

So grateful that Rocky Point was NOT turned into condos. It is a great place for people to go with pets (on leash), with friends, with their family to get some exercise. For those of us old enough to remember it also brings back a lot of memories! Get down there and take a walk or go fishing.
