Always a good time at this park, I like how close it is to everything. Not too far outside of providence but no noise as well. Great place for a walk with your pets or kids, with a paved walk way all the way around the lake. I've done pictures for friends out here as well and they always come out great. No one will bother you and the people are always so friendly. I'm sure I'll be back again so and I definitely recommend this spot!

You’ll love coming here. Beach, horseback riding, walking, biking you name it. Plenty of parking. Picnic tables and bbq so if planing to have a family day it’s got plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. First time here for me, but definitely coming back again to view the beach area.

Lincoln Woods is located 10 or 15 minutes outside of downtown Providence. It has a swimming pond in the summer and a good location for families with outdoor facilities. Lincoln Woods has a full circle around it with traffic going only one way. It has a large walking path and on the weekends it seems pretty active And there’s a lot of people. It’s a good nature park.

Lincoln Woods State Park is a gem that is enjoyed by so many people. America has so many state parks that we need to support now and into the future. The lake is there for swimming and boating. The trails are there for jogging, biking and hiking. Or go to just relax and read a book.

We were looking for some hiking paths on the south shore and found this place. It's a beautiful little enclave with great walking paths of varying difficulty. Lots of varied sights, and plenty of space. Never felt crowded at all at any point since there are so many trails.

We had a great experience there we had 3 areas and they were wonderful, and plenty of room. The restrooms were not to far but you had to drive . The restrooms were very clean plenty of toilet paper and paper towels.

Loved it, went mountain biking here. No camping as of yet, but the biking was great and the leaves made it for a very scenic ride yet sketchy because of how slippery it was haha. Really fun and definatley will be returning.

My favorite place to walk, fish, see wildlife. Be out in Nature. 2.5 mile walk around the whole park. There are walking trails and rock climbing. Can rent out areas to cook out also when permitted. Kayak rentals, swimming and snack bar available in season also

This park is beautiful it has a boat ramp. A beach for swimming. Rent a spot for a bday party 5.00 a picnic table. There are so many beautiful spots here. Including a lrg area for.hige family gatherings. We enjoyed a bday party in the woods and no one bothered us.

Beautiful boat ramp with kayak launch with everyone in mind. The trails are worth the walk. The beach area is what it is! I'm more of a shark infested water swimmer. Lol Awesome picnic areas with fire pits and tables. Im sure I didn't list everything available.

A true gem of a park. There is a clean (despite what you may hear) lake with a manmade sandy beach, a paved loop trail with lots of ups and downs for an easy low impact walk, virtually limitless trails for hiking or mountain biking, and a dedicated area of the park for horseback riding (with no bikes allowed). There is also a popular fishing area, hundreds if not thousands of glacial erratics (boulders) of varying shapes and sizes to explore and climb, dozens of reservable picnic sites ($5/day!), 2 baseball fields, a large soccer field and other various grassy general use areas. Since the woods haven't been disturbed in almost 200 years it's also one of the best places in the state to find extremely large oaks and pines. It's also easily accessible on RIPTA and has an obnoxious amount of on-site parking. I've been going to Lincoln Woods for almost 40 years and I'm still discovering new things to explore in the 600+ acres. Can be crowded on weekends and in general during nice weather, but the "old secret" part of the park between the northern edge of the paved loop and Breakneck Hill Rd is always sparsely populated and often feels post-apocalyptic (in the best way possible). TL;DR: Lincoln Woods has everything and more that a great State Park should.

Clean, convenient and well maintained. This Park has it all: a small beach, a ground, plantation. It's the perfect place for any kind of outing. Very convenient to reach.No entrance fees and ample of parking available always. You can enjoy fishing, walking, jogging, running, kayaking, swimming, picnic, enjoy BBQ, play Frisbee, football or just practice any game in fields. Enjoy the serenity if you're a nature lover. Pretty crowded on weekends and on days with good weather. Park is completely closed in winter season.

We always enjoy this park. Good for Fishing 🎣 Hiking Boating 🚣‍♀️ Kayaking 🛶 Grilling 🥩 Picnicking 🧺 They also have a little beach 🏖 area where you can enjoy some sunny days or have kids play around. They also have a canteen by the beach with food, snacks and beverages. Park is usually very clean and plenty of spots to park your car.

Beautiful, spacious park with great hiking and plenty of benches and tables. Very clean and we'll maintained. It even has a beach, although if that's your sole reason for going you're better off going to Oakland Beach or Rocky Point Park.

Lincoln Woods State Park is beautiful and peaceful. If you want to be in contact with nature and you are around the area give it a try. I went in Fall and it was so beautiful. My three children 7,5 and 2 years old were very happy that I took them there. They often ask me to take them back.

I've only been here once looking for a place to hike. The trail I took was almost entirely paved been pretty flat so it was more of a walking trail. There was still some pretty nice views though. I was not there during peak season but there looked like there was a little Beach area. Looking at a map there does appear to be some more wooded trails but I was unable to locate the trailhead the day I was there.

Exceptional Fall foliage mid October forward. Amazing large and small trails with different vantage points all around. We like to go weekly when the skies are a Vibrant blue. Somehow it makes Everything Pop! #RockFromRI Approved!

Great bike trails. Only problem is the trails aren't marked and don't coincide with TrailForks maps very well. Most of the trails are technical trails, even a lot of the green trails are more technical. Don't go expecting a lot of fire road or double tracks. Certainly expect technical, roots, rock gardens, and to get lost looking for a particular trail. Overall it's a fun time.

I love this park, it's so beautiful and there are so many trails that you can find and explore. I go often for walks and seem to find something new every time. The only thing I wish it had was trash cans some where even its only near the entrances or certain stations. I try to pick up trash every time I go there but then when there's dog poop already in a plastic bag I'm hesitent because I don't want to put that in my car. Overall my favorite park to go to.

Sokhang “Bee” Dong

Mountain biking trails are Intermediate to expert level riding. Easy on and off trails. No need to carry anything besides one bottle of water. Food and spare water can be kept in the vehicle for quick breaks and back on the trails. I consider this a great free gym for a short workout. Can’t always go to the very long trails especially after work or busy weekends. I tend to ride on Saturday and Sunday early morning for an hour or two. Then off to start the day doing other things.

Good place for a 3 plus mile walk, it's too civilized for a real hike. I would like rougher terrain. There were lots of others out on nice winter Sunday. Good roads with off road stretches makes it good for mountain biking.

Great place for nature walks, or just for a fun day with family and friends. Ideal for different family-friendly activities. You can play, swim, kayak, or simply sit and rest and enjoy the view. There are hiking trails too. There are cooking spots. The bathrooms are kept well.

A bouldering paradise. What a beautiful location for climbing, exploring, swimming, and enjoying life. Mountain project is helpful to find the boulders, but it's better to use it with a guidebook as well. Lots and lots of routes across all grades. Some definitely sandbagged, but all fun. Kids will love it too, especially if they climb. Just an hour from Boston. Can't wait to go back!

Lots of great trails and open fields to play some football and soccer. They do have pretty good spots for kayaking as well and they do have a small beach. Only downside I see is that the walking trails were not labeled it was a bit challenging to keep track of the splits on the trails. Spent some quality time on benches near the lake. Felt refreshing. Definitely one of the best parks that I have visited.

It's a nice beach to go to with kids on a hot day. They have a lot of restrictions though. No splashing, no snorkeling, you can only swim infront of the lifeguards (even if you're an adult), and many more. They allow people to play music, which is fine, but when someone is playing their music for all to hear it bothers me. I tried to relax after swimming with my kids, and I couldn't because of all the noise pollution. I MIGHT go again, but only if the kids ask to go there.

Always a blast for the whole family. Bike riding, swiming, hiking, and beautiful scenery. The life guards could be a bit more attentive, they are certainly not as vocal as past years and i could see that leading to an issue for safety, but my kids are strong swinmers and we had no issues.

With a beautiful lake in the middle of the park and a 2.5 mile walk around it with trees providing shade for most of it you should get out here and experience the beauty Lincoln Woods has to offer. It also has a beach for water fun too.

Great place for a walk. Save yourself the $$$ prices at snack/beverages hut and pop over to Fenduci coffee which is 5 minutes off trail. Staff seem a little surly but helpful really and they seem to be high school kids so what do you expect.

I haven't been here since I was a kid - it's probably been almost 30 years since I was last here. After taking my dog for a walk here while home visiting my parents from Pittsburgh, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town! I totally forgot how beautiful it is - the lake is incredible, with lots of nooks and crannies to explore by canoe or kayak. There are plenty of trails and peaceful woods, plus the road is one-way, making it easy if you want to stick to the pavement for biking/walking/running.

Rented picnic site 10 and climbed goat rock with friends. Big field, grill, beautiful Rock, shade that moves. Throwing an outdoor event couldn’t have been easier, or better. Lots of trails, boulders to climb, family friendly, pet friendly.

The best pet is definitely the water. I would say the trails are not the best part at all for someone looking to explore places with exciting auras. This is a great fishing spot, place for rock climbers, and even a bike trail or swimming. I just didn’t see much greenery even though spring is upon us and instead of trails there were a lot of camping sites.

Beautiful!! Cool beach, nice soccer parks, and really fun single track trails for MTB and trail running. We love this place and how close it is! Fun to make a loop around the lake, you can do it in about 6-9 miles.

A nice park for a short walk around the lake. The lake also offers swimming and fishing. Plenty of parking. The path is paved and half pedestrians, half cars. It isn't extremely private - part of the loop looks into the neighbors' back yards.

If you ride a bike here be extra careful of walkers. Also, some cars ignore 1 way signs. That said. There are some good hills. This place has great variety of hills and flats, but in my opinion, it's a dangerous place to ride a bike.

It is completely renovated, it is nice and big but a little uncomfortable. The lake is very large, however, there are only a few meters, very small for the public, it is very uncomfortable to enjoy the water with all the people crowded in such a small place.

Parking great, snack bar super full at all times never made it to the counter because there is a constant flow which mean they have good items on the menu, bathrooms are very well maintained and the life guards are very chill and to the point. Coming from California never had a section of a water area where you are confined to a certain section so didn't like that too much we where literally walking through personal areas where people had set up to get to the rope section where where were allowed to swim all in all kids had a blast and its a beautiful area

I've been coming here for years this is my happy little escape out of downtown Providence it's close enough that it doesn't take too long to get to and it's secluded enough that it's quiet. I have went paddle boarding and swimming here but most of the time I just go hiking there isn't a crazy amount of trails but it's perfect for getting out of downtown to connect with nature for just a little bit especially during the week when as well you want to do is go up north to New Hampshire Vermont or Maine.

Beautiful park, but beware like any other park. Check yourself and your children for ticks after using the park. You do not want Lyme disease. Found a small deer tick while at the park this 6/20. Educate yourself on the risks of ticks.

Had a nice spot with a bench near the water. +4 stars for the view. The swimming area where the rest rooms are was nice and has a snack bar. I gave 4 stars because the announcements from the loudspeaker was blaring and unnerving in a place that should be relaxing. The speaker was right over my head at the snack bar. - 1 star for that.

I always have loved coming to the park. Happened to meet an old friend here one day for a walk and we've been together ever since, true love! I've had every emotion in this park come and go. The calming atmosphere is soothing down to your very core and will always make you feel good.

Nice place for a family day. Free entry a ND parking. Parking fills up fast, must go earlier in the day. Bathrooms run out of toilet paper and aren't filled often enough... and no trash barrels. You must take all your trash home. No floatation devices allowed. All in all its kept pretty clean. 4 life guards and 1-2 managers on duty during the day.

Great place for a run or day activities! I went here for a run and they have a 1 - 1.5 mile loop that circles the entire lake. The traffic is not bad and mostly 1 way around the loop. 1 lane is for cars the other for runners/walkers. Great views and places to look at the woods or the water. I have come back on other occasions to sit on the beach, it's free! with plenty of parking! Also I have kayaked here, it was a bit expensive and there are not many places to go on the lake, but it is fun to float around and I landed and checked out a couple of the islands on the lake. Definitely coming back here for runs!

Beach is small but nice. Rent kayaks, hike, swim. Small snack bar. Lifeguards are nice. Careful of the narrow roads when biking. LEAVE NO TRACE!

Lots of parking. Right off the highway. 2 entrances to the park that i know of. Hard to navigate. Bathrooms were not unbelievably clean. Field was nice and open and grass was cut. We only used a field. Apparently theres a waterfront as well.

It was a super hot day in Providence so driving just about 15 minutes out to Lincoln Woods was the perfect little escape. There were lots and lots of people on the beach which was a super fun energy and 4 lifeguards were present until about 7 or 7:30. We also saw some cute ducks and a few Canada Geese over the course of the evening. We parked in the first lot we came to which had plenty of parking when we got there around 6 and walked on a nice grassy oath to the beach. The beach lots probably fill up fast so just be flexible when it comes to finding a parking spot. This was such a fun and chill swimming spot- I will definitely be heading out here again!

Lincoln woods is an absolute classic! Very nice paved loop for biking, walking, or jogging. Lots of trails that you can take to get off the pavement and onto the dirt. Big pond in the middle makes for some great views. Mountain bikers and dogs all seem very happy here. This is also definitely a big destination for local bouldering/rock climbing. There are tons of small rock formations and I'm always seeing climbers trying to nail a route!

To me this is one of the nicer state parks in Rhode Island. It has many amenities to offer like swimming boating hiking and horseback riding. There are tons of picnic sites available to reserve, and ballfields. There is a paved 2 and 1/2 mile walking loop around the park and lake. Walking the loop is for all ages and includes some ups and downs. Bring your dog, stroller, or bike. Roller blades are not allowed however. The scenery is calm and serene with many rock formations in the woods along the way. Plenty of parking available. The park has a nice sandy beach for swimming in season with available restrooms, changing rooms, and concessions.

I like to come here for walks or to have a little picnic. I have also had birthday parties here (pre-covid19) and would defenitly recommend. I have only been to the lake once and only sat on the sand for about an hour (lunch break) but I wouldn't get in even if I had time....or allow my kids to go swimming here. The water just doesn't look no where near clean. For hikes and birthdays its perfect!

A big pond with a beach set in rolling wooded hills and dotted with huge glacial boulders that's a 15 minute walk from urban Central Falls. There's a nice paved access loop that folks walk/run around. And tons of hiking and mountain biking trails. Rent a picnic site. Go rock climbing. Kayak rentals. It's a gem.

This park is a wonderful beautiful Park with a kaleidoscope of many things to do within it, pretty well maintained, no complaints except one... LACK OF RESTROOMS. Restrooms can ONLY be found in ONE PLACE in this large Park and daytime camping area and that is by the beach area only. It can be a great inconvenience. It was a beautiful day. Such a clean park with an incredible lifeguarding staff. There were three camp groups which meant a very busy beach. The guards did an amazing job watching and making sure everyone enjoyed themselves safely. I will absolutely go again to cool off on a hot day.

Beautiful woods, lake, road, and trails. This is a great place to get some time alone or go on an outing with friends. The road around the lake is great for walking, running, or an easy bike ride. It's mostly shaded so in hot weather you don't need to worry about sun too much. There are breaks in the tree cover to give warmth on a cold day. The facilities by the lake are great. There are water fountains, bathrooms, coin-operated hot showers, free outdoor cold showers, a place to buy lunch or a snack (Pepe's), and lots of parking. There is a life guard at a beach there for parents' peace of mind. This is a great place!

Lincoln woods is a local state park that I’ve been going to for a long time. They just renovated the whole beach front and it look very nice new showers and bathrooms very clean. There is an new concession building very big good food. Recently went to a large picnic there had a lot of fun huge pavilions and nice grilling accommodations.

Park is great, water is great, but definitely bring a grill with food and drinks. The concession stand is crazy expensive. A lady in front of me ordered 5 lemonades and the total was $35 she was shocked. I asked for a can of soda cost $2.50 and I waited over 30 minutes. Dont recommend buying anything here slow service, and way too expensive. If you bring your own grill and food it only costs $5 for a permit.

One of the best places around the area to get a breath of fresh air in an outdoors environment. Many people use this space to run/walk and exercise Perfect for family functions with various picnic tables around the whole park where the majority have built in grills. Inside the park there is many trails that can be hiked and used for off road biking. There is also a museum as well as a beach and multiple large fields suitable for pick up sports games and large events.

Lincoln state wood park has something for everyone. Great place to spend your day. If you are a fitness lover, you can run around a 2.5 mile lap that has a great topography including running around a pond. If you love kayaking, plenty of water to Kayak with minimal of disturbance. Fishing ain't that bad either. If you love to hike trails, there are a few trails that may not be amongst the best but nice for a neighborhood park. There is a field for picnic and all kind of sports. Beach is also good though living in RI spoils you when it comes to rating beaches. Plenty of picnic areas. If you just want to do sightseeing, you can just drive around the park. Great place.

Love this place. A safe space to hike, swim, walk and or run. Best time in the summer is during the week to visit the lake. I have had such great times here. We have done family parties at camp sites. Inexpensive to rent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Just know there is bathrooms close to the lake but not at all sites. There is no electricity so you would have to bring a generator. We have gone to dance parties here too. Overall a great place very close to providence

We had a family outing there. Very clean. The camp sites are great. The main building near the beach was still under construction so the bathrooms are the portable type -1. Park Rangers keep a good watch on their guests. We saw a slight problem (safety) and within two minutes a ranger was there. I will recommend this to all my friends.

Such a nice park. A great loop around for walking, some offroad trails, and a great pond for swimming in the summer. Plus a whole area that is great for fishing and kayaking. No motor boats allowed, but it seems you can paddle all you want. It does get crowded in the summer, but is also great for a case of cabin fever in the winter, to get out for a walk.

We went horse back riding at Sunset Stables. The owner said as of 7/1, the price has increased to $40 per person. There were eight of us. Over all, all the kids and I had a great time. It was a fun experience. The guide, Olive was really sweet and answered all the kids questions but the older gentleman that came along with us was not willing to answer any questions. Thank you very much Olive and hope you have a wonderful Birthday on 7/2/19. Overall, beautiful park. Great views.

The family and I had an amazing time! The park was extremely clean! The beach was free of debri. 4 life guards on duty at all times! Some of the rules seemed silly but it didnt take away from the experience. My family and I visited the nature center and was met with a wealth of knowledge about wildlife! I was extremely impressed with my experience today and cannot wait to return. Also, it is worth a mention that they have actual bathrooms and outdoor showers. There is also a concession stand.

Park has some great hiking trails. Scenery is amazing. The lake has beach access for swimming and fishing areas spread around the park. The beach isn't the biggest and can fill up quick but it is usually pretty clean. They recently renovated the beach area, pavilion, and parking lot. Park offers boat rentals. Lincoln woods is so beautiful!!! Plenty of big spots you can rent out for party's! They have horseback riding, a special spit for boats + a beautiful beach area with life guards and amazing food!! My favourite park. Great place to do activities here right from walking, jogging, boating, fishing, trecking, bike ride, rock climbing to horse riding. Plenty of park space for various games. Have couple play grounds at least that I have seen. You could also relax on mini artificial beach and groups can also book their favourite picnic spots for group activities.

I adore this park for its exceptionally litter-free, large and unadulterated landscape. Whenever I visit for an escape, it's always pleasant in that there are always areas available which are secluded from the other visitors. There's space for everyone to get away from the busier areas of Rhode Island. There are picnic tables available along with fire pits and places for barbequing/grilling. An unobtrusive road winds through which is good for biking, but it's also possible to ride fairly easily on the actual woodland paths as well. I'm pleased with the nearly pristine walkways (one of which runs along the lake with nice views) and the charming variety of trees and plants. Highly recommended.

We visited the beach Labor Day weekend. It was pretty awesome, and Pepe’s had great food. The Mango on a stick is delicious. Need to know, there aren’t any trash cans, you’re expected to take everything with you when you leave. And if you have a sandworm child like our son at the beach, the showers are coin operated (quarters).

I haven't been to Lincoln woods in years but today I walked the 2.5 mile loop around the pond and it was beautiful! The grounds were very clean and nicely manicured, no foul smells anywhere, the birds were chirping and the other patrons were nice and respectful. I bought some tacos from the sanck bar for lunch and they were delicious! Filled with fresh ingredients and authentic Mexican tasting. I'm going to come back on a weekend and see how big of a crowd there is. I may be frequenting here more often since it's only 10 minutes from my house!

Have not been here in a few years , they have really done such a great job cleaning and beautifying but still disappointed and disgusted. The park is open til sunset ( 830ish) as is the food court yet the bathrooms close at 6 pm .... the beach is full of people ???? You would think this would have changed along with landscape but I guess it will continue to be known as the pee pond .. Only one portajohn on the pines side of the park ( opposite the beach) my elderly mother was told by maintenance worker ... so I drove her around the park to find it and she decided to go home as it was filthy!😒

Love to go here to cook out. Beach is Free- for swimming, unless you buy ice cream or other food at the consession stand there, but it is pricy! Also there are boat , kayak rentals here. Many folks walk , jog, or walk their dogs here. They gave trails, for walking & climbing- & 1 goes around the edge of the pond- my favorite. There are also trails all up & through that area in all directions as well. 2 boat launching areas. People also fish here. There is a Big Field adjacent to the lg. Parking lot near the beach & 1 covered spot there- usually for lg. Family or Co. Picnics/ BBQs- Parties & costs more. When 1st entering right after going over the bridge- if you take a right- there is another field & 1 pavilion there as well. There are many spots here to BBQ & it is only $2.00 for each spot. If you picnic & are not cooking- it is free- but if someone comes in that wants your spot- you will have to move if they have a permit. Call ahead or stop in ahead to pay for your spots ahead of time. Very popular. Near Twin River- No Camping or Booze of any kind. Dogs on leach only.

Pretty nice family hiking spot really easy trails to follow and easy roads to run on if you enjoy that. I did not enjoy however my hike being interrupted by really loud EDM music as a whole bunch of burners had set up their own little mini festival in the middle of the woods.

Lincoln Woods State Park is one of the nicest recreational parks located so close to an urban area that I've experienced. The park's just 15 mins from Providence and feels authentically rural and away from it all. The place is well maintained, much larger than expected and offers a diverse choice of terrain for hiking, swimming or relaxing in a quiet and private spot. Definitely a great local resource, highly recommended!

Fun rock climbing, nice trails and good views. It's not so popular as to attract everyone, but you might meet a couple people walking the paths. There are quite a few boulders that have interesting routes, make sure to bring a crashpad and you'll have a great time.

Lincoln woods is beautiful. The views you can find on the lake are absolutely stunning, especially in spring or summer and during sunrise and set. However, the only downfall is that the water is kind of gross. The rest of the park is mostly clean, but the water is not very pleasant.

Beautiful great place you can do almost anything nature related...even fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Only reason for 4 stars is I brought my daughter and we got food. A hot dog,grilled cheese and a can of coke was 17$. Bring your own food.

Awesome place to go and reflect on your day or to read a book. Mind the speed limit however tons of walkers and joggers. Interesting note no roller blades or skate boards allowed. Dogs are allowed however but please for Pete's sake clean up after your furbabies... I've heard site rentals are real cheap all season starting at $6!

Lincoln woods is a great place to hiking through the trails, and riding your bike on the road. I, myself, get a little skeved out when at the beach in the water because of all the warm spots in the water. But otherwise it's a great place to go have family fun. As a kid, I went there a lot, and the picnic table areas are pretty cheap and fun.

Apart from inadequate provision for restrooms every spot in the park is beautiful only painful part is if u r with family and you book a spot away from restroom spots then you need to drive far for restooms... otherwise you'll hav your private picnic amidst beautiful greenery giving you proper feeling of picnicking in dense forest yet safe

During this February Covid trip I would avoid the groomed ciecular path loaded with too many maskless people and plenty of dogs. I recommend instead walking on the ice (caution where it meets the shores of the islands) for any chance to stay safe. At the time I went there wasn't any shoveled/surfaced ice rinks either.

Amazing outdoors and recreational area! So beautiful throughout the entire park with plenty of activities for everyone. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, bouldering, TONS of picnic areas for family gatherings/camping. The forest is dense and offers a nice reprieve from the heat of the summer.

Hiking, biking, and kayaking can be done at Lincoln woods. You can choose a paved walk around the park or maybe some trails. MTB at this place is awesome. Lots of fun and challenging trails. You can get some speed and send it off some drops/jumps that might not be for every rider so choose lines wisely. Some one or a group has taken a lot of time and produced some really nice trail sets thank you. Look out in some spots you can run into glass. I would recommend go and learn the trails or find a person to guide you. My first time it took a little while to figure out how to ride the park and get some of the best flow. I don't enjoy this spot when things are extremely wet lots of big rocks that can get slippery. All around great place lots of fun!

Great place to go to walk around and experience nature. There are plenty of good boulders for rock climbing scenery is beautiful. Only downside is that the main walking path is shared with cars, and people don't seem to pick up after their dogs. They will go to the extent of placing it in a bag, but leave that bag on the side of the walking paths

The park is clean and beautiful. The bathrooms located at the beach are closed an hour before the lifeguards leave. The woman at the concession stand is rough around the edges and sort of rude. Great place for families!

There are a ton of trails. I like to walk the dog there. However I don't walk the asphalt because I like to keep him off lease. Takes me about 50 minutes to go around once if I use the trails. I reccomend for a nice spot to go even on rainy days. My only complaint is they want you to pick up your dogs poo and they take away every single trash can....put out some trash cans year round and your park wouldn't be littered with bags of pop in random spots.

Cool place to go and enjoy a picnic on the lake. Great for hiking, kayaking and Horseback Riding is also an option for $30pp per hour! Water is dirty so I don't recommend going in, but I've never heard of it doing anyone any harm. This place is known to all the Rhode Islanders.

Really nice State Park. Nice areas to picnic and grill at. You pay $2 dollars to rent the areas out. They are nice and big, so you dont have to worry about bothering people or people bothering you. Theres a nice lake to swin and they rent out paddle boats and canoes. Parking is free and entrance is free.

Love this place!!! I utilize this park for swimming, exercising running/walking, ice fishing, short hikes. Lots of access to various points except in the winter months. If you want to fish/ice fish you will need to lug all your gear either on the road or across the ice because they close the gates which extremely limits park access.

Between the little beach (with showers too), the nature walks and frog hunting with the park rangers to hiking the trails, fishing, and kayaking plus much more! Expansive state park that’s just outside of Providence, Lincoln Woods offers a little bit of everything. There are a multitude of trails and paved roads to exercise on and the entire park surrounds a large lake where you can fish. There’s tons of camping and picnic spots as well. Has become a very popular respite from the quarantine so be aware that it will be crowded.

Lincoln Woods State Park is absolutely beautiful and big. They have an area for children, lots of free space for sports, grilling area and the beach area. Last time I went with my friends we bathed in the clean water and bought some ice cream.

A great nature escape close to the city. Plenty of parking. Beach facilities open in the summer (bathrooms and a snack shack). Rent paddleboards and kayaks from REI right on the water, or bring your own. A great place for walking and running - you can stay on the paved road that goes all around the lake or venture onto some hiking paths. Many spots also seem to be popular with rock climbers. Plenty of space for games too (a big field for playing soccer, frisbee, etc).

Given the right weather, Lincoln Woods can be a peaceful and serene place to take a walk or jog. You can fish, go rock climbing, hiking, or just sit by the beach. The park is clean and safe, however be carful when walking alone when there isn't many others around; especially at night. Bring a walking partner, better safe than sorry.

Love walking around the park. We walk almost three times per week. I love the scenery, shade and sun along Olney Pond. I really wish some sort of speed control and poop patrol was in place though. That's the only reason they didn't get a 5-start rating was the speeding by cars above the 20mph and dog owners leaving poop bags on the side of the roadway

Small beach no play ground nice picnic areas throughout the park with picnic tables and grills for family outings none on the beach areas though and grills are not allowed in the beach areas...there's a snack bar though. Beach area does have rinse off showers and changing rooms.

Lincoln Woods State Park is a nice spot to go and bike, hike, play games, whatever you like. The Park itself is mostly centered around one large pond and has a 5 mile road that goes around it. About half the loop is one-way, leaving the other side exclusively for biking, walking, etc. The other side where there is two-way traffic can be a bit dangerous to walk with young kids though, so be careful. People travel a bit too fast around those turns to make me feel very safe at points. There is a public use beach and parking for it, as well as sites you can get (for a small fee, we paid only $5 for the day). These make great picnic space and a spot for meeting up with people. There is a boat ramp and horseback riding trails, though I have not looked in to those personally.

I dont know why people complain the water is dirty it's pretty clean to me. It's really nice the only inconvenience is that you cant grille on the grass bit overall it's pretty good place to go and hangout with friends and family.

I just moved to Pawtucket last year and have been looking for somewhere to walk my dog better than a dog park. There are tons of trails through the woods for humans, dogs, and bikes while still being super close to the city. Also, hundreds of problems if your into bouldering!!
