One of my favorite parks in Rhode Island. Expansive trails, beach, woods, plenty of open space for picnics and parties. A great place to connect with friends and family outdoors. During their regular season, you can rent spaces with picnic tables. Bathrooms do close after October 31, but they have portapotties in a couple of locations. The farmer’s market is small, but has some good vendors. Something to offer during all seasons.

Beautiful park with a wonderful view, lots of trails to walk the park. I love going there for a walk and also going with the family. Tgis park is kids friendly, pet friendly,family friendly and its the perfect park to spend the day or to do a picnic.

Huge, beautiful park!! Places for everyone to go to and many areas to hang out in, picnic, horseback ride, swim, and just enjoy. The fall colors were incredible! Fell in love with this huge maple tree.

This park is beautiful. It has so much space. The beach was beautiful, the area you are given is big and it does not overlap with anyone else's space. We had a family reunion and we were in area H this space is massive. Enough trees to give you shades areas to sit. Enough sunny areas if you want sun. It is a very nice park

My babies Nani and Nonno love it there. I wish I would have been bringing them here a long time ago! They get to be "dogs" roam around sniffing then walking/trotting they have a good time. We go for long walks/trots here. My Nani has arthritis but, you'd never know the grassy area's are perfect for Nani to walk on. They get tons of exercise here! We will go back everyday from now on weather permitting! The place is so, open here there is no worry of not having your own open space! I highly recommend!

We came today for a relaxing day in the sun & shade. We got a great spot under a huge tree. The site next to us was having a party so we enjoyed their music. My nephew got a watermelon lemonade from the Dels truck. There is a salt water beach here as well, but we found a grassy spot in the park. We spent hours it was wonderful.

This is a nice place to walk along the Waterfront or the trails, but never be too far away from your car. You can get a nice Waterfront and woods ride at the same time all in under an hour!

We had the pavilion area for a friends baby shower. The bathrooms are located near by. The beach is small but nice. Great scenery and overall a great time.

Always a great place. Beautiful landscape in lots of different areas to visit and take in nature. We are fortunate to have access to such a great open space and free. Your trash is carry out. So please be responsible and don't litter. Great spot to watch the sunset. They have open fields, picnic spaces, walking path, and a small beach. Restrooms are available during park operating hours.

My favorite park and beach! There are trails for walks, bikes, horses. Nice stretch of beach, and amazing scenery. Great boardwalk with park benches and gazebos for watching the sunset. Restrooms are conveniently close by, clean, and the facilities are open until sunset. Swimming is permitted in a select location near the lifeguard stands. Many picnic tables are available throughout the park. When in season, the farmers market is a neat place to stop and shop near the first of two park entrances.

I moved states and this place was right up the road. So I thought I would check it out. The park is usually not too busy on weekdays. You will see quite a few people doing their thing. Golf, running, walking, taking pictures and riding horses, on the weekends the sky is the limit, within park rules anyway, is well maintained. The weekends are the best, the families are so happy and friendly.

A quick peek into the admin building at Goddard State Park Beach paid unexpected dividends!! Inside, we met Josh Nelson, a recent URI grad, who is currently the On-Site Naturalist for the season at Goddard Park. Josh did a great job of gathering, curating and nurturing a very interesting cross section of the "living beach" and surrounding wetlands. Some kids who followed us looked in on a strange ghost shrimp, crabs, a bullfrog who I believe has gathered a following (check for possible Twitter handle) Nice to think they took away a little bit of - oops- summer learning.... Good job URI. Good job Goddard Park! Great job JOSH!!

Goddard State Park - where to start? So much to offer... A public park with plenty of flat terrain, making it accessible for folks in wheelchairs. Wanna picnic or party? Plenty of picnic tables and simple charcoal barbecue grills for use, old trees to provide ample shade, and spaces can be reserved in advance, making this an ideal venue for any celebration that may require a bounce house. Other highlights include a boat ramp, sandy shoreline facing the Bay, a covered carousel, and horseback riding.

Beautiful public park on East Greenwich cove. Great horseback riding and walking trails in the woods along the water. I avoid the weekends crowds, but nice during the week.

The park has always been nice. The beach was a local spot that suffered from the polluted waters of the cove, and bay, When I was a kid, the park had several unflattering nicknames as a result. In my lifetime the bay has undergone a major upgrade with much lower levels of pollution. Goddard Park has become a major beneficiary..

Large park with plenty of glass and a beach area. There is also camping and an equestrian area. The beach is not great, very rocky and not comfortable in bare feet. There are bathrooms and a snack bar near the beach though, and plenty of parking. Near the snack bar there is a carousel on the hill.

The park is immaculate. We helped run a couples BBQ/Baby Shower for our daughter and son-in-law. Most things you are totally responsible for and there isn't any electricity provided. Plan way ahead and your event will be successful too.

A beautifully maintained park, available to the public that's huge enough that you can spread out and not rub elbows with other randos if you don't want to. There is a place swim, put your boat out, or just run, walk or throw a frisbee. You can even rent out an old building that used to house a carousel and still retains beautiful stained glass!

Lots of trails and paths through the woods and over the beach. You'll get water views at some parts but it is mostly wooded scenery. Can get pretty muddy and wet in the winter/spring. It will scratch the itch to go on a hike, but Goddard is more of just a walk in the woods than a real hike. Nice spot for local nature.

Many Ramadas Grill spot .. reservation spots for 5$ per day and also several FCFS spots. Ample space for each area and restroom facilities available walkable for some spots and drivable from others. Great place to hangout in summer and to conduct fun events for small/large group of people

Overly crowded in the beach area, people picnicing on the grassy areas in between cars, children unattended all over the lot in which is not very safe as traffic is very heavy in that area and not nearly enough parking spaces for the amount of traffic. Not as it was years ago...

One of the most well cared for parks I have been to in New England. Goddard state park is both beautiful and spacious. It includes a beach, hiking trails, open fields that are maintained, horse paths, and much more. It is pet friendly! There were many activities before the pandemic safety regs, and I expect there to be many again soon. I took my partner there on our first date, and 4 years later we are still visiting for picnics and hikes!

Goddard Memorial Park is a huge park with plenty of options for the family. In addition to a riding stable and a golf course there a large number of picnic areas that you can reserve. It is a fantastic park if you want to take long walks in open fields and forested areas. Also a great place to bring a dog to walk. There is also a boat launch and a beach.

Really huge park. Plenty of space to enjoy an event with, really, any number of people. they have an equestrian area, grills, spaces and gazebos for rent for private events, and tons of open area for a nice walk. Rental fees are cheap.

The beauty of this park is hard to describe. From the rough wooded areas full of trails to the well kept open fields for picnicking and family sports and a coast line that goes from maintained beaches and boat docks to rocky challenging walks. So beautiful, very spacious, you ahw the field very inexpensive to rent with full bathroom near by which are very cleans, there is also the beach the carousel, and grilling area. Great places for families, or to play some outdoor sports, take a walk or bikw ride.

We rented some sites in the 100s to shoot a music video and have a cookout. Was very impressed by the grounds and the way they were kept. Plenty of picnic tables around and very old trees for some awesome shade. There was a small charcoal bar-b-q pit but we brought our own grill. I didn't see any litter around and the bathrooms were nice and clean. Just a great overall experience and value for the money.

Very nice park and gets EXTREMELY crowded in summer. WAY to many out of state cars there as well. As a RI resident I was turned away because the parking lots were full. Many many cars that were there was from out of state. Mostly MA residents. MA has some beautiful places to go, so the parks here needs to charge out of state vehicles and give preference to RI vehicles

I spent all my summers visiting the park and the beach for birthday/graduation parties and cookouts and it was a highlight of my childhood. And now hopefully a highlight of my kids' childhood too! There's many great spots to spend the day at. Bring a frisbee!

For the price of $15 this course is pretty nice. However their isn't a clubhouse or a restroom at the starter. Also, no driving range on the location so make sure you warm up somewhere else. I would go again because of the price.

Great place to enjoy a nice walk, sit by the water, take a bike ride, etc. Seems to be a popular spot for people with their dogs or groups of cyclists. Wasn't overcrowded when I went on a Thursday afternoon. Would definitely come back.

Very beautiful. I went when it wasn't busy at all, half a dozen on the beach. I walked a few trails and truly enjoyed myself. Clean park, great little beach and friendly people. Definitely spend a little time here when/if you ever visit RI. Not really an all day thing, but 3 or 4 hours and you'll be happy you went.

The park is nice for family picnics, plenty of tables and grilling areas. Also large fields for games. Rest rooms are clean and available. The only downside is too much traffic, and while most people drive safely, there are always a few that think they have the right of way no matter what. Or are in a hurry to get nowhere, the ones that you see go round and round.

Great place to relax, walk the trails through the woods, drive over the the boat ramp and launch your boat, walk down to the Beach or have a family picnic, lot of open spaces and fresh air, you can even rent a horse and ride through the woods. Fun place to go for exercise or just be outdoors

We went here to use the beach. The changing rooms were decent. The parking was free which was a big plus. The sand was very hot. I don't know if it always is or if it was just that day. It would probably be good to bring sandals in case it was not a one time thing. The rest of the property is beautiful. There is also golfing and horse rides. I can't speak to the qualities of those offerings.

Free parking and bathrooms. This is a great beach, especially for smaller kids since there are no big waves. I've been there on several summer weekend afternoons and it hasn't been too crowded. There are picnic tables near the beach area. I haven't explored the rest of the park but there are lots of amenities: trails, horseback riding, etc.

I have twins that would be 3 years old in October, this was an awesome Family friendly atmosphere. What it was clean, and everybody was polite. I didn't have a problem finding a private picnic table for my family to enjoy eating lunch either. So over all five stars.

It's a really great state park! It's pretty big, with camping, fishing, boating, a carousel, and so much more! It has a long shoreline for long walks on the beach, and since 98% of people on dating apps say that's what they enjoy, it's perfect!

We were so excited to discover this park. We went for the beach, which was lovely and calm. A huge, well-maintained building houses showers, bathrooms, changing rooms, and a first aid station. The water was a bit murky and dirty because it's deep into the harbor and waves don't really reach it. But there were plenty of tiny fish to catch, and a great cordoned-off swimming area that my young son enjoyed. We'll definitely be back for this pleasant beach and all the amenities it has.

So beautiful and vast! I come from NY and we got a butt load of beautiful parks, but nothin quite like Goddard. There's LITERALLY something for everyone at this park. It's an absolutely gorgeous park. There's a beautiful beach, a gorgeous equestrian center, golfing, plenty and I mean PLENTY of room for any kind of event or picnic. If you're like me and you're a huge introvert, first off, I'm sorry, but also, there's an abundance of spaces to go to be by yourself or have a private party with just friends and family without feeling crowded. This park is just really incredible! But be warned, during events in the summer and spring, this place turns into a introverts nightmare but a extroverts playground.

Nicely maintained with plenty of picnic tables and fire pits. We go there to walk our dogs. The staff patrol and enforce the rules very well. One rule is dogs must be on leash at all times. That is a huge reason why we go to this park. Almost all other parks we know of never enforce the rules. So dogs run around some completely unattended and feces is a common sight. Most people are indignant when asked to leash their dog...typically the commonly ignorant reaction. So we are very pleased that if we tell staff at this park someone is not using a leash they actually go looking for the person right away.

Big and open, just what my kids need after a long day of homeschool. It's a fun place to come and walk, ride bikes, picnic and just hangout in the fresh air. A lot of parking and usually pretty quiet.

Overall it's a good experience and well maintained. I thought the golf fees went up to compensate for free admission of the park. The fairways are burnt, they shut the drinking water due to covid, removed trash cans, ball washers are dry and rakes removed from traps. The pro shop has no pull carts and offer nothing in way of drinks or snacks. The senior prices are good but for myself I can go private sector courses for same cost.

Great place to walk my 14 year old yellow lab. We walk out to "Sally's Rock". At mid to low tide, it is a really nice beach walk back to the car, and a nice swim for Butter, my lab. Week days are better, with fewer people.

We hiked in a mile or two and went to the shoreline, avoided the beach (it looked fine, we didn't want to bring the dog on the beach). Pretty easy hike. Saw a few horses. Enjoyed.

Pretty cool place. Tons of space to do activities. You can rent a spot for barbecuing/grilling if you want to grill. There's a small beach here too. Near the beach is a small restaurant that sells some food like clam cakes and hotdogs. Goddard Park is also a great spot for walking and running!

Has great places for parties and picnics. Staff are always friendly and ontop of any issues or questions you have. Park is also pretty well kept. Grass is always cut and garbage is rarely ever seen outside a trash can. Only reason for not 5 star is sometimes the staff will say conflicting things. Like for example I once rented a whole section, about 4-5 site, each one PAID for, a MONTH in advance and they told another group they could come and set up there party where ever. Guess where the people tried to set up... On my paid for sites... Better communication should have been used on the park behalf. Other than that bad experience this place is a overall great place to spend the day with the family.

Beautiful state park! Go to C & L Stables and get a horse ride along the beach, then soak up the sun, play some golf, or just hang out in the HUGE open spaces. There are wooded walking trails too. I call one "raspberry road" because it is lined with wild raspberry bramble. So you get to walk in a gorgeous area AND get a snack.

This park has everything, it surprised me! Gulf courses, boat landings, a beach, and lots of places to have events for birthday parties and events. It's also a huge place, so lots of walking and biking for exploration not too far from Providence. A nice getaway for many reasons, like a picnic or just being by yourself, if your in the area, check it out!

Great area for the money. The only problem I had was keeping other people off the fields we purchased. Every hour there was someone new trying to golf or set up a tent on spots we rented for our cookout. Though the Rangers are friendly they don't check for permits often enough. And after 4pm there's no one around to get them to leave! Ohh and they don't give refunds.

There are some bathrooms, a little stable with horses, a beach, and a golf course. Also worth a mention is on Fridays there is a farmers market.

A great park. Good for the family. I don't know how the prices are, because I go after hours of operation. I have gone there since I was a child. It's sad that the merry-go-round, is gone. I saw many wild animals, when I was a child, but I guess that the visitors have scared them away. Or maybe bad winters, or relocation of the animals, for what ever reason? They do have horse back riding, I don't know how it's set up. But I hope to try it someday.

Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick RI is a wonderful place. It's public beach and picnicking areas are clean and fun for all families. The horse trails are beautifully maintained. The sand footing is great for barefoot horses and the wide trails are great for walking, trotting, or cantering. There is plenty of parking for horse trailers, which makes it easy for those of us who are nervous about having to back into spaces. There is also a large riding ring for pre or post ride schooling. If you do not have a horse of your own, but would still like to get on one there is a local stable on the grounds that offer pony tides and trail ride tours of the park! Are you a golfer? There is also a golf course, which I have not personally experienced myself, because I do not play but would welcome other people's opinions of the course.

About 90% of the people there today were beautiful, hard working families, of Hispanic decent. I watched children, young adults and older people interact, their humanity is just like non-Hispanics, except they do not come from countries with democratic traditions. They come from totalitarian and authoritarian countries. They came here for freedom and opportunity. I wish them all love, peace and prosperity. I hope they learn those blessings of life are not bestowed or given to them by government. I hope they vote to keep us free from big government AND big business. Ive been coming here since I was a kid in the late 1960s. Some changes but much is the same. The staff is stll very helpful and takes a fairly laissez faire approach. Dont be a jerk and youll be fine. Dozens of picnic locations; huge open fields; acceptable bathrooms; horse and walking trails....even a few geocaches (look it up LOL) Something for everyone whether a family, a date, or an individual.

If you're having a large event, this is the place! I was recently at the Imagine Walk & Family Fun Day, held at Goddard Park by The Autism Project of RI. I'm not sure how many people attended this year, but they've broken 10,000 attendees before. Goddard Memeorial Park handles it. Great facilities, gazebos, etc.

It was a nice drive through the park. the park was pretty empty compared to what it used to be. Many unrented fields.
