Reviews of Oaks Amusement Park
Been coming here since I was a kid. So many memories here. Great little theme park. We went for Halloween. All the haunted were really cool. The 3rd haunted house was awesome with all your favorite horror movie characters. Very busy but all the lines went super quick. It was very well organized. If you're a Halloween fan you have to make a stop here and check it out
If you have children around 2-5 years of age, they will enjoy Oaks Amusement Park just as much as the older kids! A lot of great options for little little kids such as the carousel, the train, and a handful of rides made for that age group. It made my Momma heart happy. My three year old rode the carousel three times because he loved picking out different animals to ride. We went on a weekday afternoon so their were not many lines. My only suggestion is to bring drinks. Several of the vending machines for cold drinks were either out of order or out of stock. I always bring snacks anyway so we didn't explore the vending options and we did have our own water thankfully.
Oaks Amusement Park is a unique and amazing attraction in Portland. You can get a wristband and ride roller coasters, bumper cars, carousels, and other rides all day long. You can buy tickets and play carnival games, or do other activities such as roller skating at one of the few remaining rinks in the state. There are food vendors selling elephant ears, cotton candy, popcorn, food and drinks. Admission to the park is free, you just need to decide what you want to do and buy the appropriate band or tickets.
Nice wish they had a bowling space for people who like to be inside besides the rolling-skate center . It’s raining here at this time. Great for children who love to go on rides otherwise stay home. Food is good and no complaints just ran out fast.
Lovely little amusement park with one big coaster! Had a great time on all the rides and the roller rink! Also my first time having a snow cone which is just what a hot day called for. Great day out for all the family.
Super crowded but fun family amusement park with plenty of rides for the little kids. I was glad they served beer and wine. I recommend you leave before they close, or you will be sitting in the parking lot for an hour in the traffic from everyone else leaving.
I’ve been coming since I was a kid and now I bring my kids here. I’m so happy with the amount of rides they have that my lil toddlers can ride. The little roller coaster is SO fun! My mom and I had a blast having my girls as passengers for the go carts and the bumper cars.
We went for rides and the Halloween experience. It was great for the entire family. They have 3 haunted houses and characters walking around to take pictures with. No long lines the entire time! Great Saturday evening.
Kids had a great time. Went early on a Friday for a school field trip and it was super fun for them. The lines were short, and the rides were fast! It seems like you can knock everything out in a couple hours so parents aren’t super worn out after a visit. YAY for that :)
We had a fantastic time! Because it was a holiday, and our kiddo is above 48” cost $47.95 for his rides bracelet. That was more than I was expecting, but we still had a great time!
I love Oaks Park. I've gone since I was a child and have so many fond memories of this place. I am so glad they have been able to stay open over the years and especially through covid. I will always be a fan. I think they have done a great job with the rides. They only got knocked 1 star because they have a serious bee problems that they need to find a way to control to keep people safe.
It's a great place with a lot of things things for kids and families to do. There are the rides of course, but also various games, and places to hang out also. It has the roller rink, and event venues. It needs more food and drink opportunities!
Only in Portland do people keep going on rides in a downpour! 😄
I played mini golf with my family here. The course was fun and challenging it was the first time my kids had played mini golf.
I had not played in probably 10 years.
We had a great time and would consider coming back.
Definitely recommend taking the family here!
This place was great bit kids and I had a blast from my oldest to my youngest there where thing for all us the rollercoaster altho short they where definitely intense. The younger kid rides where great my younger kid loved them.
Food was lacking but you can just go a few min down into town and find some amazing food. Oh and also the free carousel and train ride where great.
One of the oldest amusement parks in Oregon. The last survivor in the Portland area that once included Ross Island, Council Crest, and Jantzen Beach. Not the time capsule it once was, but a fun, family place to visit. The rides have been modernized, and it looks like others are soon to be replaced or upgraded. It will be very interesting to see what the 2022 season brings.
Great family fun! We loved the rides, food, and games. Cooling misters and shade available on hot days. Will definitely come back every year.
Oaks Park is a classic old school carnival that kids of all ages will love. There’s a mini roller coaster for littles, and a high G-Force coaster that my 11 year old loves! There’s also a roller rink, mini steam train rides, picnic ground and much more! A fun day for the whole family.
Great place to bring the whole family, and they have a little bit of everything for everyone. We didn't know much about the history until we arrived, but the park opened in 1905 and is one of the oldest amusement parks in the country. 🍭🍿🥤 …
This was the first time any of us have been. I was looking in line for thing to so with my boys for spring break. We had a great time. The only thing is they are only open from 12 to 5 pm. There isn't a lot of time unless you get there right when they open . They have rides for all ages.
we were there to play mini golf and it was a decent price and the course was great. they provided lots of shade, which was nice on a 90s degree day.
It was nice and the lines were surprisingly short. No wait time. Concession stands appear as clean as they can be, being the place is very old and warn. You can purchase tickets at the gate when you arrive. Unfortunately on this day 2 rides were down "Atmosphere " and "spider" , it probably would be helpful if they update their page when maintaining will be done on any ride. It does say on the windows when purchasing, that they are down. Beware! The elephant ear lady will tip herself on your card purchases without your knowledge.
We went to a Halloween themed activity grounds and it was fun. There were all sorts of roses, games, and activities for all ages. Pretty good atmosphere and they're was even a little train to pull patrons along
We went for a work company event and our 4yr old had so much fun! I havent been to Oaks park since middle school 2008 lol.
The restrooms are all in good distance, not too far for pregnant women's, nice and clean too!
My family loves it here. It's never crowded, prices are reasonable and the lines are short. It's a small venue but This is Way better than an annual fair. They have mini golf, go carts and thrill rides for the adults and tons of rides for the little ones. If you come you will not be disappointed
Loved this place! Pricey but great clean environment & wonderful staff! Wonderful day with your family to hang out & have fun!!
A great place for friends and family. Super reasonably priced, you CAN bring outside food and drinks to set up at one of the many picnic areas. The rides are great! Highly Recommend getting the all-ride pass, it's really worth it. I think the longest wait for us was the go-karts, about an hour. But every other ride, we got on rather quickly. Lots of parking, clean bathrooms and fun games, with lots of prize options. The only I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is the staff. It was hit or miss with the staff. There were really great staff members and other were really lacking. But overall this was a wonderful experience and we had a fantastic day. Highly Recommend!
I just visited during their Halloween events and it exceeded my expectations, I was further surprised by how well lit it was at night and I definitely want to make plans to come back when it's darker because it was BEAUTIFUL. Their Halloween events are definitely worth every penny, my first and definitely not my last!
Oaks Park is a great place to go to have a fun time! They have rides, games and a Roller Rink. The staff here is super nice and helpful. They have an indoor and outdoor arcade. They have organ music playing on sundays in the Roller rink. Lots andots of parking.
Today was my first time here with my 2 small children. We took advantage of the Chipper's Preschool Rides and it is such an affordable deal. My kids and I had a blast. Well kept park that isn't too big but still has lots to offer. We will be back!
Always a fun place to go! Wish you could buy individual ride ticket instead of just a $43 ride band.
So glad I finally checked this place out. It's small but packs a punch. Checks all the nostalgic boxes. We went on the closing night of the season and got the added bonus of fireworks. Great time
SO! MUCH! FUN!
We took our grandkids and had the best day!
Free Parking! Reasonable Prices!
And room to bring your own picnic if you want!
Don't expect any of the staff or workers to be friendly... The majority of them are not! At all!
The few who were friendly were absolutely fantastic... We had the pleasure of meeting 2 of them! LOL
Regardless of that ....it really was so much fun!
Absolutely amazing! My family and I spent all day there and still didn't do all the fun stuff! Can't wait to go back and finish our family fun!
Everytime i go to Oregon to see my kids we go to oaks park to skate. Its a tradition! We have been going for over 10 years now...love it and appreciate oaks park very much!
We go to Oaks park annually for a summer picnic and love our time there. The rides aim to target all ages as well as the concession stand games. Mini golf and train are always a fun addition. Highly recommend for a family outing during the summer. Beware it gets hot on even a cool day!
Pretty bummed you can't pay per ride anymore. Stopped by on a ride on the bike path, but was told either I need to pay $43 for a wristband or can't go on any rides. Played a few carnival games as a consolation. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning any time soon as the wristband has very little value to me since I only want to go on 1 or 2 rides at the park.
It's a real nice little theme park. The rides are fun. The lines aren't that long. The variety of activities is cool. I appreciate all the history, and the little exhibit. The prices are my favorite part! Much more affordable than other theme parks. I appreciate that people who don't ride, don't have to pay for a ticket.
Took my girl here in the morning during their pre school hours. It was perfect! 10$ for her and the adult was free. Small crowds with short lines. She loved it so much. And then it ends with storytime, milk, and cookies!
Well I really want to go here when they open back up again for the season. My mom went here when she was growing up. I hear you can skate all year thoughat the skating rink 🛼 …
We went to the amusement park for the first time during the Summer Preschool Days and it was an awesome activity for $10! There were quite a few rides to choose from, limited capacity so the lines weren’t too long and you get to bring your own food and drinks in. Huge bonus with kiddos.
The biggest downside is it’s only 2 hours so arriving late really stinks - cut off is exactly at noon - even if you’re in line. That’s really challenging with children that want to do everything they see. It’s just not possible. We rode six rides but we rushed from each one and it kinda stressed out my 2&4 yr olds.
Also, the story time wasn’t worth much and my boys love stories but it was lots of talking before the actual book. It’s packed inside, not very entertaining and it was a brawl getting to the line to get a carton of milk and a cookie.
All in all, we’ll definitely go back during the preschool days because I took both kids for $20. Regular price would be $80 for the 3 of us.
Such a ridiculously fun place to go with children! They have a handful of more thrill type rides, some mid level, and also small children's rides. All of the staff was fantastic. I hadn't been in so many years and for a small theme park, we had a blast.
I wish they could find a way to make this place more affordable for young adults. Admission costs nearly $50. I’m not sure if they do seasonal, or demand pricing. I get that if they make it too cheap demand will be very high. Maybe a lottery system is in order? Otherwise, this becomes a luxury of high earners only… My adult son who went with his friends, works part time and earns minimum wage. Nearly $200 for the 4 of them, and that doesn’t even give you full access. He does not plan to return.
Nice little amusement park. I feel it’s a great value. Free parking, free picnic area and the carousel and train are free. Plus there is a little tot area. Also free. You could actually go have a nice time for free.
All the employees were super nice to our five year olds.
We got 22 dollar wristbands for the kids and one 40 something dollar wristband for a parent to go with the kids on a few rides. Lines were short, rode 10 or so rides in 2 hours. Great time!
We had a blast, everyone had a mask on, and there's a lot of practice space around the sides for the kids. I would have liked to see a bit more cleaning going on for the handrails but there were plenty of bottles of sanitizer all over.
A great place to go old school rollerskating (u can use Rollerblades also, if u have them)! Kept really pretty clean and well maintained, considering how many people go to skate and hang out... They run birthday party scheduling pretty smoothly. Unfortunately, u always need to watch your back when skating as there r always small kids potentially running, out-of-control, right into the back of u... just maintain your space and u should be good 😅🤙
Arrived late on a Saturday after walking the water front. Was looking for food carts but they were all closed so we hit the roller rink. Oh wow it was a blast from the past! I thought I was an extra on the filming of Stranger Things. We had chicken fingers, burgers, fries and beer. Was tasty! For sure the best part was people watching. I wasn't brave enough to try skating but they rent skates if you want to try it. Next time you hit this amusement park be sure to stop by the roller rink. Fun!
Decent amusement rides but the costs to ride them is getting pretty out of hand. The go karts are more of a breathing hazard than fun. They basically idle around the track. Kids rides are decent and that the real reason we continue to go. We go back but more because it's the only game in town doing this sort of thing. They do have a pretty cool old school roller rink on site.
Oaks Park best deal for the money- great variety of rides for all ages, park is virtually spotless, including bathrooms. Food is reasonably priced. Never a bad experience in all the years I've gone.❤ Places like this are a dying breed sadly so support them if you can. This time we went rollar skating as well and the rink did not disappoint.
Great fun for kids. Lots of rides for all ages. Place to picnic. Roller skating rink.( I wish they had the "walker" support for little ones and for the old ones who really don't want to fall.) You buy the band for rides but don't pay for parking or entrance.
Love his place! I've been going here as long as I can remember and have done almost all the rides. Such a fun place for get togethers, birthdays, and so much more. Has kid friendly and kid only rides, as well as some super fun and scary ones. I 100% recommend this place!
Well what can be said about a permanent carnival? It's amazing I love the place. The food and drinks are way over priced. I bought a small fountain drink and it was 3. 50. Overall though the rides are top notch. I rode there New rollercoaster and it literally scared me it was extremely exciting it's not super huge like some in a big amusement park but it definitely packs a punch.
The rides are amazing and seem to be well maintained. The park is clean, the bathrooms are clean, and they don't allow smoking or vaping in the main walkways which I really appreciated. All the rides are included with the bracelets including the coaster and the go karts! We stayed all day and had a great time, can't wait to be back!
If you're looking for a simple family friendly activity this place is great. It's more like a permanent carnival rather than an amusement park but with old-timey charm. They also have an awesome skate rink and during the Halloween season there are some really cool haunted houses. Definitely worth a trip.
Just went for the haunted houses. Very scary and fun and reasonably priced. The first one was definitely the best and most scary. We wanted to just go on the roller coaster because we didn't have a lot of time but they don't do tickets for individual rides which is kinda dumb
Came for the 4th of July event, first time here and it was pretty good. Much like your local county or state fair with less rides for adults . Prices for concessions and games is about the same as a fair and was pretty decent overall. Some food carts/trucks across the train tracks of the amusement park. Children absolutely loved it ,I enjoyed the rides but after 10 hours of rides you've done 6 times each you truly start to drain heavy . As long as my kids had a blast ,I had a blast. Bring a backpack for water ! There are cubby's for most rides or you can set your stuff to the side. Definitely will come back in the future .
Fun way to spend the day with kiddos, my little ones 5 and 10 loved it!!
Tips:If you go here during covid times, be sure to buy your tickets online before entering. Also it's a good idea to come when it just opens.
It's a great amusement park with lots of rides for adults and children. They have some rides mainly for kids that aren't that speedy or scary for them to enjoy but other rides for adults or teens that really make you feel scared.
Two rides that are 5/5 scary are the adrenaline peak and the atmosFEAR. Adrenaline peak is the pink and blue roller coaster with a high length and a couple of loops. It's very fast but very enjoyable.
-The AtmosFEAR is a blue ride that rocks back and forth with an option of going either 180 or 360. If you choose the 360 option you will truly understand what g force feels like. I went on it first and nearly blacked out but during the second time it was just terrifying in a good way.
-Zero gravity is another thrilling one. The name is sorta ironic because it uses gravity to function. It's a red ride that has you stand against a wall and as the ride starts you can feel yourself pinned against the wall as it turns. You can feel your guts move around as it spins.
In my photos there's a ride called cosmic crash but my photo isn't too clear (I'll get a new phone soon) but it's bumper cars were you can ride and bump other riders.
There are other rides that are fun but others I didn't take a photo of which were either out of my view or mainly for kids.
The lady I got my elephant ear from did a wonderful job. Perfect balance of cinnamon & sugar on a huge proportion (overlapped the plate) plus she was clean & quick😁. The rides were awesome & were quick upon being thoroughly cleaned & opened back up if someone got sick on it. The games weren't rigged but were just enough challenging as well to need some skill to win. I was able to win prizes from the games without apending a crazy amount of money. The picnic area was wonderfully shaded by beautiful trees to escape the heat & had plenty of spots available to sit😌. Overall I was very happy with my experience & made good memories 😄.
We loved the haunted houses for Halloween this year, really well done, great actors and the sets looked amazing 👍 …
We love Oaks & the skating rink. Giving 4 stars for the amusement park though because my kid is 48 inches & was still charged the above 48" price, they counted her shoes making the fee over $40 vs $19, and we only had an hour to spend making it a pricey visit.
The gay skate event was a lot of fun! I hadn't skated in years, so I felt a little silly compared to most people there. I even fell once, but staff swooped in to check on me immediately and made me feel incredibly safe.
I never knew that oaks existed until my wife found it when we were vacationing in Portland. We started with a train ride got unlimited bracelets for rides so that we could go with the kids. There were like no lines so it was awesome.
Not all of theEmployees were friendly but some of them were very nice.We also took advantage of the putt putt golf course and had A blast there.
No admission but there are no single ride ticket options. Must buy a wristband. Train and carousel are free! The mini-golf is basic but fun. The carnival games are easy to win prizes. Overall good times to be had.
Having been an Oregonian since 1994, how I just discovered this amazing family-fun amusement park, almost makes me feel live I must have been under a rock for the last 25 years. My daughter couldn't take a break from the fun even if she had wanted to.
Went to the annual "Swamp Meet" for Halloween vendors at Oaks. It was my first time at the park, it is a lovely place, and I will definitely come back with my family for more fun. The Swamp Meet doesn't seem to be a juried event, there were several vendors who probably sold nothing as it was just cheap imported junk. There were a few really great artists though, and they made the trip worth it.
I was going to take my family on a Tuesday night, but with the park closing at 7pm, I decided against purchasing tickets (that's a cheaper day to purchase them) as I wouldn't have enough time to spend there after getting off at work at 5pm. It's a fun place to visit and we usually go once a year. This year with ride bracelets prices being higher and time constraints, I decided against it.
Had a great day here, lots of vintage rides, activities for all ages. Very clean, masks are enforced, and spotless restrooms. We arrived shortly after opening time and enjoyed hours of fun without having to wait in any lines. Plan to spend at least 3 - 4 hours here.
A great place along the river centrally located in Portland from anywhere. You can buy tickets to play games or take many different rides for kids & Adults. And don't forget their great skating rink cost $12. Or just take a walk around as there is no entrance fee.
The view of the rollercoaster at night through the fog from scaregrounds was awesome! Food is overpriced like any other amusement park. Lots of rides for the wee ones. They've really stepped up their game as far as thrill rides for the bigger kids and kids at heart. It's somehow still the park from my childhood while staying with the times.
Roller rink is fun. You can buy skate supplies, and they have fun stuff in the gift shop. You can get food and drinks. In spring and summer there, they have go karts, ferris wheel, in lot of other rides. Not for sure when they start the rides up.
Took my grandson there for his 3rd birthday he loves it there. He calls it the music park.
Oaks park has been a staple in Portland for a long time. I’ve been to the amusement park many times as a kid and never visited the skating rink until a few days ago and well I was disappointed to say the least. It feels like the rink is stuck in the past. Everything was old and outdated including the rental skates. I am from Atlanta and I wasn’t expecting anything near a southern experience but I didn’t feel any experience at all. Someone told me Tuesday nights are more for black people and the music is slightly better than when I went on a Friday. This place still has a lot of potential just needs a little re-vamp.
For a small park (compared to a full scale), it was amazing! We had such a blast. I myself am a roller coaster kind of guy and my wife and son are more for the rides that spin in circles and such.
They had both there. I was truly amazed at how exciting the roller coaster is that they had there. It’s fast and could even put the fear in to you if you’re not used to it. It’s a scaled down version of something that you would find at six flags. Again I was truly amazed I had to go on it over and over.
And I myself and my son like to go fast anything with a motor is fun in our eyes. So we hopped on the go carts and it was the best experience I have ever had on go carts. They were faster than the usual go cart that you would find at Bullwinkle’s or somewhere alike and they let you drive longer.
Everybody there is really friendly and we just had a really good time! We definitely recommend going here for all ages and we will definitely be back.
Thank you Oaks Amusement Park!!
Oaks park is a staple of the area of course, it's a wonderful amusement park with tons of character that's always worth a visit.
Recently I was introduced to the roller rink and can honestly say it was an awesome experience, it's a very relaxing environment with fun interruptions like couples skate, reverse skate and more.
Despite this being my first time I'm excited to go back and have already started eyeing my own pair of skates!
I'm giving 3 stars due to the quality rink floor, practice area and bumpy ride in the back. There should be limits to how many people can come in at once. I saw online when buying tickets ahead of time that I was 111 out of 500 for the session time. It was PACKED. A line out the door, really rude employees, couldn't hardly skate on the floor it was so packed and the arcade section didn't take coins. It said online that rentals were included in cost of admission, however I needed to pay $4/person to upgrade to inlines. Very misleading as it didn't state that online. After paying for the inline rentals they were completely out of every size we needed. We decided to size up and they were absolutely trashed. Not to mention we came home with the flu from this place. I might give it another try if they have an adult skate, but this was NOT IT. You can't use airpods, headphones or any electronit on the floor for that matter. They play circus music the whole time and it was a negative experience. I expected a better time when the first I thing I heard walking in was one of the employees bragging about how their the best skating rink in the country. I can definitely see the potential! It just isn't it with the current status. Not to mention two of the employees on the rink floor said their job was making them severely depressed 😕
When"t to a small rock concert on Saturday at oaks music was great. In the parking lot. Evryone stayed in or around there car. So plenty of masks an space. Hot dogs pop corn... very fun.
The parks not open yet but you could walk around. Amazing amount of rides. Everything looks well kept up. Big picnic area.very nice definitely
going back when they open for summer. There is a huge skating
Rink amazing building. It is open.
An absolutely amazing date night with Scare Grounds PDX at Oaks. All the staff and performers were spectacular!
Can it be better? I don't think so. Everytime we go here it's so much fun and we talk about it for weeks. Oaks Park is for kids and adults, everyone can have fun. Staff is always nice and responsive. The ground are clean and atmosphere is safe.
The rink was a little chilly when we went in but warmed up. If your skating that won't be an issue, but if your not dress a little warmer!! We had a blast though
A most wonderful small amusement park experience. Very fun, very friendly staff! Have been 2wice in the year and a half i have lived in Oregon and will go again and again! Thank You Oaks Amusement Staff!!!❤💚 …
Took my son to the weekly preschool event they have. Kids have unlimited access to preschool -friendly rides for a few hours and then storytime, milk, and cookies with Chipper the Squirrel. Pretty wholesome and fun without being corny or tacky. My son had a lot of fun.
First time awsome lots of fun
This place has a little bit of everything for everyone. There are food vendors, typical fair fare (couldn't resist the pun, sorry!). Walking through the midway it feels very much like a county fair with roller coasters, games of chance, and food and snacks. But if you walk away from the midway you can stroll along a path that gives you views of the Willamette River and downtown Portland, and feels very park-like. There are spaces in this park setting that you can reserve for quinceañaras, birthdays, etc, and then there are spaces with signs saying "First come, first served". Call ahead. Walking the midway is free, but it costs to ride the roller coasters. Call ahead for rates. Also, I noticed that the midway closed at 7 pm on a Saturday, so be sure to call for hours! But all in all this is a really lovely place to spend a day.
My family had a really good time running around getting on various rides. They have a nice set up that feels like a blast from the past if you're looking for a nostalgic experience. The bracelets make it easy to move about the park even though the scanning technology seems to slow down the lines and the workers are you what you'd expect. The park closed at 5pm which felt early and the traffic backed up as everyone was trying to leave at the same time. I'd recommend sitting down and eating a snack and chatting for a half hour to let the traffic clear.
There are not a lot of amusement parks in our area. so this place is a good fun for everyone. They also have a skating ring here. There are rides for everyone. Our 4 year old had a not of fun and so did our older kids. There are carnal games for people to play and a food court.the light fireworks on the 4th of July. The fireworks are the good ones that go hight in the air. Good place for some family fun.
Enjoyed a great day of family fun here on the 4th of July. Those who wanted to got ride bracelets others played games, ate and played mini golf. We so watched a fun little music/circus performance from a local kids camp. Great community feel here! While it's a fun little family park that's mostly just a carnival, the 5 stars are for the AMAZING fireworks display. It was hands down the best fireworks display I've seen outside of Disneyland. It must have lasted at least half an hour. We get thinking it was the finale and we would give a big applause and then it kept going and going.
Such a quirky fun place to spend an afternoon. It's not your typical amusement park. It feels much more like a safe carnival which is lovely. The rides are fun and safe, and the views are awesome. Definitely worth the price!
love coming here to skate. my only beef is - why would you have an organ player for an open skate session? i can’t groove to that.
Awesome, but sort of expensive if you're only going to stay a few hours. It's best to be there as soon as they open and till they close. Don't forget to pack lunch.
Only went skating. Was exactly the same as when I was a kid.
Which I loved. Was very full....almost too full, but we had fun.
Its great for bird watching. We saw 2 bald eagles, herons and others have no idea. But soooo many people. Just too crowded for me.
My family has been coming here since I was a wee babe, maybe even longer. Never been disappointed and now I am takimg my children too, hopefully Oaks will be around still by the time they can take theirs!
We did a nighttime Holiday Express Train ride. It was decorated and lit up with lights with views of the Willamette River and Portland and we even got to see Santa. My 4 year old loves trains and it was a great holiday memory to create. 💚 …
Definitely for the times when you only have a few hours but want this type of entertainment. It’s not large and if you have young kids they have about 6 rides to go on, older kids will have many more. We didn’t try the skate rink but there were lots that did when we peeked in. Looks fun but crowded, I wouldn’t try that with young inexperienced kids during busy times. For those with the time they offer toddler times during the week.
We love coming to Toddler Time on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. It's a great way to get the kids out of the house have fun riding rides and knowing that there are people taking care of those rides that truly love what they do. The employees are friendly with the kids and adults alike. And every trip there we have seen employees doing maintenance and taking care of the rides and love the fact that it's one of the oldest running amusement parks in the country. Your family is sure to have a great time.
We had a lot of fun at the Halloween event at oaks park. The haunts were not too scary, perfect for our 9 year old. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only wished the rides were open a bit later, and that the website would have been working better to buy the in advance tickets.
It was our first time at the park we had a really good time it was a bit hot that day but that didnt stop the boys from riding as many rides as possible and having a really good time. Prices were reasonable and food wasnt that bad, would probably be back
We went on a 90+ degree day and lines were the shortest we’d ever seen, so waiting in line was very very minimal.
We’ve gone in the heat before with long lines and it was miserable.
This last visit there were cooling tents sporadically placed around the park with water misters and free self serve water was available, which was great! We probably would’ve left sooner if these weren’t available.
Mini golf is fun, the rink is good and my kids enjoy the rides.
Food prices of course went up and no options on the menu for single items, which is frustrating.
Noticed most staff members this summer were teens, who were all pretty friendly and professional.
Best in the area. Our kids love it. Most of the rides are spinning rides, so if you're not a fan of constant spinning it may not be right for you. New roller coaster looks nice, but at $10 a pop for a shortish ride, seems a little steep. It has been fun to see my kids grow braver and more willing to try the "scarier" rides.
What's not to move about oaks? I usually hit up the skate nights, but in the mid -late summer it gets everything too hot inside for me, even with the beautiful remodel. Sometimes I'll take dates here for their first skate, and if they're not feeling it, dinner and drinks are at least decent, and we can walk around and still have a nice time getting to know one another. In the few years I've lived here, oaks has quickly become one of my cherished places to visit and skate.
I haven’t been to oaks park since I was 12 or 13, but when I just happened to be hiking through oaks bottom I thought I could see people strolling around the park when it was closed for the season! I thought to myself no way they’d let people do that, so I cautiously walked up and peered around haha. About a minute later I asked an oaks park lady on a golf cart if it was okay for me to walk around, she said “sure, walk right in” I was almost on cloud nine. The one thing I was the most intrigued by was this seemingly original to the park house that overhangs the beach near the dance pavilion. It looks like someone lives there, but the condition is in dire straits and quite a site to behold. Just another mystery from a different time I suppose. The amount of history as you walk through the place is all around you. The dance pavilion being one of my greatest curiosities as well as the zoo they used to run. Yes, oaks park had animals, including bears. I kept finding myself wondering what it would have been like to stroll through the park in 1920. Fascinating.
Small but perfect for our 3 year old. We especially loved the Preschool Rides day(Tuesday/Wednesday) for $11. However the cookies and story time portion was very disorganized. We will definitely be back !! Btw there are rides for older kids/adults so fun for the whole family. Free parking and tons of picnic space.
This place opens early on Tuesdays for children which is really cool. After paying $11, my child was to short for most rides. He got to go on 3 rides, so not a great value. Having a height chart describing minimum heights to ride each ride, on their website would have been a huge benefit in deciding to attend or not. Concession stand do not open until noon which is half way through the event. Opening at 11, I feel, would have been way better. Great event but definitely needs a little tweaking.
What a fun place! Also the Roller Rink is so much fun. It's a great place for family and friends.
We had a blast. The rides were amazing!! The only down fall is they closed at 7 on a Saturday night.
Cool place to spend an evening with your loved ones. The roller rink is the best part of the park.
We went there for 4th of July experience. 36 bucks included unlimited rides and the fireworks show. We went at 10 am and the 31/2 year old was DONE about 4:00 so we left without seeing the show. But I got my money's worth with the amount of rides my 4 kids went on. Had a blast probably will go again. If you go the time I did there isn't too many people u stand in like half hour to ride rides. RECOMEND !!!
Since I've been living in the Sellwood-Moreland area all my life, I have visited Oaks Park many times and have seen many different versions of the park.
Before the pandemic, prices were affordable and there were many cheap ways to spend your time at the park. You could buy a limited bracelet for yourself or for kids if you enjoy the smaller rides. You could buy tickets if you only wanted to go on a few rides and always come back to buy more if you didn't feel like you wanted to splurge on a whole bracelet. And if you wanted to, you could purchase a deluxe bracelet which was still within an affordable price range (around $22), which allowed you unlimited rides and offered other perks.
Since returning to Oaks' post-pandemic, I've been very disappointed with the state of the park. The new rides are a great addition, I love adrenaline peak and I'm glad they finally replaced the old Screaming Eagle ride with a ride that can go the full 360 degrees (or you can choose to just ride 180). However, the new prices are absurd. Almost $50 to get a bracelet to ride, or $25 if you are under 4' tall. If you're a parent wanting to bring your kid, you can enter the park for free and just pay for them, but if you prefer to ride with them, you have to pay the full $50. There are no options to purchase individual tickets if you only want to ride a few rides and there are no limited bracelet options if you don't want to ride any big rides. It's an all or nothing deal if you are above 4 feet tall.
The arcade and carnival games are pretty standard for an amusement park. Nothing too special, but still pretty entertaining. The mini-golf and go-karts are pretty disappointing and lackluster compared to other amusement parks.
The food was disappointing. They were out of stock of most food or snacks and the icee and ice cream machines were broken. What they do have is not cheap, but most amusement park food is pretty expensive anyway.
Overall, I'd say this park used to be a 4 or 5 star for me. However, with the insane post-covid price hike, I'd stay away from it unless I could comfortably afford it.
Oaks Amusement has some amazing rides including, my favorite, Adrenaline Peak. The rides and ride staff are great, but the food was not. We ordered two burgers and two fries at the snack bar, in the roller rink, for just under $15. We waited over 30 minutes when we were told that the wait would be less than 10. While we were waiting I saw a staff member eating a corndog behind the counter, which I believe is a health code violation.
If you are looking for a fun place to spend with your time, then this is the place for you. The rides are so fun and there are many picnic areas where you can have quality time. The events held here are always worth attending.
We visited only the roller rink so I cant comment about the rest of the park...the rink was great! My kiddos are new to skating and there was an area for beginners....not all rinks have that. Pricing was fair, employees are nice, the kids like the video games... If I lived in Portland I would go back!
Loved this park. Not too crowded and prices were ok. Parking was good and free. Rides were fun for the kiddos so I recommend it.
Kids enjoyed the park. Food is over priced for bad quality food prepared by teenagers at their first job
We came with our school. A few other schools were also there. Lines were so much faster than in the past. They also included the big coaster in the field trip pass that was so much better! We had a great time actually getting on rides instead of waiting in line all day like until the past
Pro:
- Spacious parking
- Fun experience to go with friends and family
Cons:
- Expensive!! Cost range between $42 -$54 per person (at the time of this review) during peak hours.
- Fights/Civil Unrest can potentially occur at anytime which will have security halt all activities and force everyone to evacuate the premises without a partial or full refund. Once the unrest is out in the parking areas, individuals are forced to be their own protection!!
Great park, not great prices. It would be worth it for $20 but it's $40 per person and they only have 2 semi crazy rides... still alot of fun tho! Go there every year, would go more often if it was cheaper...
Fun place to spend 4 or 5 hours. Thought the wrist band was a little pricey but if you ride the rides, go carts and bumper cars it's worth it. Especially for the short wait times.
Its been a long time since I have been here. It has changed alot since then. Seems more open and expansive than it was back in the day. Looks to be alot to do, but unless you have a wrist band from some function, everything will come out of pocket. Like most amusement parks, the price tag is not cheap but it isnt likely to break the bank either. Great for a beautiful day outside.
It was definitely fun. Don’t get me wrong.
But the BEEs there are RELENTLESS. Eat before you come. Bring your own drinks. Concessions are INFESTED with bees looking for water or sugar I assume.
The MAIN RIDE shut down for the rest of the day. ??????? AtmosFEAR. 😡
I don’t understand how they charge so much. But whatever. Kids loved it. 🤷🏻♀️
Oaks Amusement Park is so much fun I have so many good memories there! And not too long ago I had the fun of capturing some engagement photos there of two ex-employees, and it just happen to be on a day there was a wedding .Fun!
Our annual vintage motorcycle club annual picnic & bike show. Staff was very helpful, and took care of us.
Great experience at not back to school day! Craig is amazing. Excellent customer service, super friendly and went above and beyond to make our day. Thank you for your kindness Craig, you are truly appreciated!
I attended a company picnic there. They closed early at 7 PM, which limited my visit. I think it is a good place for families with younger children. The lines were short for most attractions.
The rides are really fun! Adrenaline Peak is one of the best roller coasters, if not the best, I've ever been on!
We had a blast. Multiple kids ages from 8 to 11. Rode almost every ride. Unfortunately the train was out of order. They only do ride bracelets now. If you only want to ride one or two rides you have to get a bracelet. Great for kids who want to ride all day long not great for Parents who just want to ride once or twice.
Great fun place for all of the family! The rides are fun and they have good snacks. On Tuesday’s there is adult roller skating after 9 pm. It goes to 11 pm and have to be 18 or older there is a lot of activities for the kids to do during the day like the train ride. The people who work there are always super nice and I’ve never had a bad experience.
Had a great time with my nephew. My only complaint is the ambiguity around parking in the dirt parking lot on the south side of the park. There were repeated announcements over loud speakers to move your cars from this lot or you "you will get towed". I went back to car and dozens of people were confused like me. Almost all cars were parked in an orderly manner except maybe 6 cars that were blocking someone. I left my car there and went to guest services to explain this and that there was no where else to park. The customer service rep said that all cars need to move from south lot. I went back and spent over 3o minutes looking for another parking space before finding one. When I left park 2 hours later, the south lot was still full of cars.
IF CARS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO PARK HERE, THEN PLEASE BARRICADE IT OFF OR HAVE AN ATTENDANT PRESENT TO REDIRECT TRAFFIC! THANKS
Our favorite amusement park in the Pacific Northwest. We have been visiting this park for years. Little ones can enjoy a carousel ride, slides, and other age appropriate rides which will thrill them without scaring them, while older kids will enjoy heart stopping rides like the Screaming Eagle. Also features roller coasters, a ferris wheel, go carts, roller skating rink, and picnic tables.
We went there for their octoberfest celebration. It was great. Traffic to get in was out of control. We parked far away and walked, which I highly recommend on a busy weekend. I got worried it would be crazy inside, but it was great. Busy, but there was enough to do that lines were short and employees were friendly. We took our toddler on lots of rides with very little wait time.
We've decided to go more often next summer.
Rides were fun but your better off bringing your own food. The food is over priced and there idea of a milkshake is water with syrup and ice in it. Was totally disgusting and not worth it at all.
Fun and affordable amusement park. There is roller skate ring, mini putt putt golf area, little kids rides, big kids rides, a lot of picnic areas and tables. Many companies or families book party there.
Once you get there, oaks park is surprisingly accessible, but there's no way to get there unless you drive. It's really odd that they've made such a point to have things be paved, etc but there's no shuttle or anything to get from the nearest bus stop which is a mile away. Like, do you want disabled people here or not?
You know for PDX this is a nice little family gem. Need to get the kids out of the house? Want to let them burn energy? Def hit up oaks park.
They don't have a lot, but they have enough good stuff!
The park is fun and there is plenty to do. But the prices have gotten so high it's awful. For a family of four to get ride bracelets it's was $182... That's crazy
So fun!!! There are so many awesome rides. The games are kinda a rip off. But the tickets are a good price and there seems to be a new ride every year! It's like a mini Disneyland!
The girls had fun & we're tired & ready to go home. The food is expensive for what they give you. Fries & corn dogs are okay. Don't have the burgers...
Far from the Disneyland or/and from the universal studio?! Visit this little fun place. Especially during hot summer season. Offers discount rides which is very reasonable. Under the shade areas are great place to relax with IPA. Age of this establishment, might need to update most rides and comfort amenities. However, known this fun place is safe, have not heard any major accidents. Probably needs more attractions in order to visit one more. Food offerings are all classic American foods. Icicles, sugar glades, burgers, fries, hot dogs, and kiddos favorites. Whatever, anyway just for one day? Just have fun. Bet your child would easily fall asleep after hard day at the amusement park.
All the rides were great. Pretty good deals for food and everything. The lines for certain rides were really long. Most of the workers seemed less than excited to be there and could have been nicer. I like that the top tier bracelets include just about everything at the park. Had a lot of fun!
Kids had a blast. As always go early because time fly's. If you have little ones there's plenty of rides for them they will have fun but save the deluxe for another time.
Lots of fun to be had here. The big roller coaster was super fun, and the kids enjoyed the smaller rides
Fun! Employees are mostly young nice people. It was hot and they had tents set up with misters. We appreciated that a lot.
BIG THANK YOU to Brandon…the event he put together for Military Family Day was Amazingly special…. THANK YOU Brandon….
My daughter & I went here Saturday 15th 2022 for the haunted houses and amusement park which is fun, did a couple of rides , was worth the money to go here, We drove in from Astoria Oregon
Fantastic family fun center.. lots of fun for everyone of every age.. can't wait for all the rides be available to ride again.. As well as the Rollercoasters... last year was a blast here..
Expensive, but very different since i was a kid. Wish they had more food options, and little kids stuff. Playground with a slide near tacos with a beer garden, genius?
Great place to go with family and friends.
Prices are a little too high, but perhaps it keeps the crowd in check. Great variety of rides for all ages.
Pretty decent prices for what they offer, we went when it wasn't busy at all so no lines, for 37 bucks both my girls had a pretty good time, food prices were actually really good. They both loved roller skating, it was a great day.
I brought my kids here for a last minute summer trip. We had a great time and my kids enjoyed the rides. The park was clean and the staff running the rides were great. The staff at the ticket booth could've been more helpful and more professional but overall we had a great time.
lots of picnic covered area for large groups, ample parking...need espresso shop and maybe a few porta potties. race cars are expensive, but fun.
It was fun for the whole family, we had a blast. Its affordable no parking fee no entrance fee, just pay for rides and food. I can't wait to take my family back!
So much fun to be had at Oaks!! The rollar skating is what we normally come for! It's a blast every time.
Although the premium unlimited ride bracelet doesn't cover mini golf this year, isn't two for one on Tuesdays, and costs $40 each, we came at 12pm opening and left at 9pm closing, and the boys rode the fancy new rollercoaster a lot ... So it would have costed much more to pay as you go. Boys had a great time, Park wasn't at all crowded, maybe because of forecasted heat. But it was overcast much of the day, I took my hat and ice bottles, and sat in the shade, so it was bearable. Only 2 rides are wheelchair accessible, but at least there are two. Good thing no admission... Only pay if you ride. Brought my own lunch because of dirt restrictions, but the boys enjoyed the fare. They keep having to stop the go-carts because of drivers who don't follow the rules, but they never seem to make them leave, so spoils the fun of others. Seems like a good balance of little kids rides and bigger kid rides. Rest room was decent, though garbage needed emptied. Reasonable handicapped stall. Expensive, but an investment in happy memories for my grandson. Can't go often. More shady tables would be good. They have some nice ones by the river, but limited. Had to battle the bees for my lunch.
Grew up with oaks park. It's really clean these days. The new adrenaline peak coaster looks RAD! It's something you'd see at six flags! I miss the old mouse trap, but so glad my kid gets to enjoy the endless wheelie bikes (chippers choppers). Roller skating is so underrated too. It's kind of a rush once you learn how to go fast.
So fun, great day! Great food, chicken Sandwhiches and Fries were so yummy! People we're great and the kids loved all the rides! Definetly coming back
Had a Blast, great place for fun family and best part u can BBQ and bring your own food, got there at 12 no lines lines still short when we left at 6. Great place!
Great place for families and kids.
You can enjoy playing unlimited times per day.
Staff is friendly, Parking area is good as well as the food court.
Overall a good experience!
Tickets: As of May 2022, $42 for adults, $21 for kids under 48”.
Came visiting from Canada, the whole amusement park was awesome. Best experience I've had visiting States. Loved the Adrenaline kick. Go Kart staff is awesome, absolutely wonderful people. Everything overall 9.5/10.
Highly recommend the soft serve ice cream. Everything else we ate there was very meh but the experience was overall still five stars for the amount of fun we had. Lines weren't long at all for a Saturday mid spring, we didn't really have to wait for anything. Go carts, bumper cars, and the roller coaster were our favorites! Games were too expensive so we didn't play, but the rides were worth the $40 bracelets.
I had a great time, super fun. I especially recommend the Disc-O, I went on it like eighteen times. A bit crowded but thats to be expected. One of the ride operators helped calm my fears before I went on the Spider. His name was Evan, and he did spectacular.
I really really wish I was allowed to come back here because it's the coolest place! Don't worry, I won't violate my lifetime ban. I'm only saying I miss coming here with my family for rides and snacks and AMAZING memories.
Super fun and feel safe here because masks enforced. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sound system is great.
Hadn't been here for 30 years, it was pretty fun. A couple of the rides were pretty intense. Food was reasonably priced. Very short lines for rides on a Sunday
Classic amusement park, my kids love it. It would be nice if they had healthy food available somewhere on premises, though my kids are too busy enjoying the rides to eat, anyway.
Our family loves oaks park we like to get up early pack lunch and spend the day with family and friends at oaks park!
Had a blast today went with the seniors for their skip day and it was awesome to see them having so much fun!
We only went to the roller rink but we had fun. People lied up to go in just before it opened at its later time. They got people in and skates out pretty fast. The live organ music was really fun. They had a side lane for kids learning. There was a section of floor coned of that looked like it needs repair. Over all a clean fun place.
Small amusement park but if you have a good plan you can easily stay the whole day. Show up early and you have most of the rides to yourself.
So much fun! We took our 3 girls ages 4, 8 and 10 and everyone had a blast. There were only a few rides that our 36inch daughter couldn't ride. Even on a rainy day it was fun. Elephant ears and cotton candy were a must. The gift shop was reasonable. The staff was super kid friendly and smiling. Give yourself at least 4 hours to go on all the rides. We will be back for the indoor skate rink and mini golf soon!
A must go to if you have kids. There are a variety of rides to go on for kids and adults. Don't forget take a picture that said, "I grew up at Oaks Park."
Great place for the family. The park allows outside food and drinks. There are several picnic areas as well as access to the beach. Also, the deep fried oreos are amazing.
On a picturesque day the park was full, loads of fun and a complete joy. Best part if our visit to Portland.
I take a large day care group here every summer. They make reservations and check in super easy! Staff is amazing and my whole crew looks forward to this trip every year!
I attended my first Carchella concert at Oaks Amusement Park this past weekend and had a great time. Please schedule more shows (at least Garcia Birthday Band). I can't wait to travel back to Portland!
Has the classic amusement park rides and friendly staff. Right after opening, there were a fair amount of people but still no lines on any rides. By the afternoon it was getting crowded but waits were still minimal. Fun place. Would love to go again.
Loved it. Was shortish lines on a summer Thursday, imagine it's less fun on weekends.
But, please don't bend your rules and let toddlers ride the purple roller coaster. It's a good way to get shut down.
Price sure has gone up. $40 per person over 48" tall. Very fun. Glad it has survived the pandemic.
The kids had a lot of fun. Rides for every age. Better selection of rides for kids than other parks I've been to. The food was mediocre at best. I bought the smallest hot dog I've ever eaten.
It's a little park but boy they cram a lot of rides in such a small area it's well worth it for the teenagers as well some of the adults if they like going on rides is how they recommended a little bit high on the price but I think it's to keep the upkeep of the park
What a great, local experience!
Fright Night was terrifying and the rides exhilarating. I want to go back and roller skate and see the river and the park in the daylight.
Great park! Lots of fun! Reasonable food prices....clean also as you can see from the park employee that stepped in front of the picture i was taking😐 lol overall a great time! …
I absolutely loved it such an awesome experience you get thw fun of the fair without the crowds also has a skating rink, mini golf a great spot by the water and so much more definitely would recommend
Fun place had fun. Great music 🎶 nice people. …
Classic amusement park rides with updated rides, plenty of space for family picnics, miniature golf, corn dogs, banana flavored cotton candy (very Portland) an old style rolling skating rink and a beautiful view of the river. All of these things and many more make Oakes Park a great place to visit.
I Love This Beautiful Coaster At Night, Although It May Be Expensive (10.00$) Only To Go On It One Time, it Was Good. Unless You Buy The Premier bracelet You Can Go On This Ride And Go Karts Unlimited Times At Not Extra Cost. 😄😄 Pretty Good Experience For A Small Theme Park! …
Went skating new years Eve had a blast oaks park ROCKS!!!
Scaregrounds was the best! The roaming actors were one of my favorite parts, please bring Beetlejuice back again next year! Despite being on my own, I had a really great time. In my opinion Evilution and The Condemned were scariest, but Grimthorn Manor was the most fun! I can't wait to come again next year, maybe even as an actor because it looked like so much fun to participate in.
We went on a Wednesday and seriously had no lines at all. We went back on a Saturday and the place was literally shoulder to shoulder jam packed! The kids that work here look 15 or 16 and need better training on proper food handling. 🤢 Awesome Family place!! And had stellar views from the park …
The roller skating facilities are definitely being neglected. Lots of burned out and discolored lights, poor sound equipment, both drinking fountains broken, there was no A/C, fans, or ventilation I could see/feel, the cafe is way past its prime. Everything except the skate floor & skates needs a major overhaul.
It's good for a few hours of fun. It is a smaller amusement park then I am used to and for that reason I felt it a bit over priced.
Fun time with friends. A great place to have a get together since everyone pays fro their own rides. Cute if simple mini-golf. Great roller rink.
Oaks is great. I'm so glad we have it. Be careful not to go on one of the specials days near the end of the school year when there are a lot of field trips from schools. The lines will be unbearably long. Outside that, you're probably in good shape. My son says the new roller coaster is awesome.
Easily the most convenient and the lines were short on Father’s Day making it a wonderful day to visit here. Daughter always has a blast. Each time she is a little taller to ride new rides.
Been going since I was a wee child. Now get to experience with my own family. Always a good time. Highly recommend checking out the skating rink and Oktoberfest in addition to the amusement oark!
There is no place on earth as wonderful as Oaks Park Roller Rink!
Overly expensive for what they offer. My kids had fun but there really should be a discounted bracelet for parents who will only be getting on a small number of rides
They have pleasantly updated lots here. Hot moms, hot rides, perfect date spot or just place to take the kiddos
Always a blast, rides are fun, rides operate smoothly. Food is overpriced and mediocre. (What you would expect)
Fun family place! Lots of rides, skating rink. Prices are decent. More affordable than the fair. Great time!
Fun place for my younger cousins roller coasters were mid but definitely worth the money
Really cool amusment park that I never knew existed. Some of the stuff there like the carousel look to be original pieces from when the park opened in the early 1900's, very antiquated and super cool. Great time for the kids.
Pretty decent local carnival style amusement park with a few medium rides. Not the cheapest ticket but decent lines
It was awesome this time not to busy lines went well also Arab American festival was happening and was super fun
Great for the family. Not to scary and nice to have a story line to watch.. first yr scary house drive through. I did notice they have a different option as well, a more scarier one. Next yr me and the family will be going to the scarier one to give it a try. Well worth the 90$
Really fun place for the family. My son loved going on Adrenaline Peak and the Go Karts... He can't wait to go back.
Take away the whiplash and the gangster cholas flipping off my children for no apparent reason and you have yourself a perfect summer/early fall evening...everytime.
A good local amusement park. The PNW has next to no real heavily invested in theme park. Oaks has all of their rides working unlike the water park north of us. Their event food cart vendors charge an above average prices. Their in the park food is a great price if you want it.
Great labor day, Union picnic had a great turnout. So many people we had to park on the other side of the bridge!!!
The park was clean and has added new rides over the years. It is still just as fun as I remember it is great to be able to share this gem with my son. They take cards but if you want to play Midway games they are cash only. They have an ATM or you can buy tickets but you have to buy $40 worth. You can use you card to pay for everything else. This year skating is not included in the ride band but, the roller coaster is. (2022)
Great place for company picnic and birthday parties. Or just to take the kids to have a fun filled day I know I did and ill not a kid Just a big kid at heart.
I've been here several times for my wife's company's family day, which we brought close friends with kids. From my perspective, I can see why this place has been around for so long. I mean, it's just another amusement park for kids really, but there's a little something for everyone ranging from a small train ride, roller rinks, go carts, roller coaster, arcade games, prizes and such. A place for a nice family outing and picnicking.
Went many times growing up and even more when my kids were little.Birthday parties are very special here. All my kids have summer birthdays, so Oaks Park has been an easy choice. Great location right off the river.☀️🌭🍦🎢🎠🎡🎉 …
Blast....all day long rides....beautiful day! Sun was out🥰 …
It was a good experience in the Adrenaline roller coaster. Just 25 to 30 seconds and you need to pay $9.50. The staffs were not so friendly. It was not easy for me to reach here by use the public transport. I need to walk through the JEH trail which was a about a mile from the Trimet stop. Overall a good time pass.
It was hot today, but everyone at oaks park made the best of it. Including the employees. They were very pleasant and kind and curtious. Great fun 😁 …
Lots of family fun, spendy, but worth going twice a summer for sure
This used to be a family tradition, but now we enjoy the waterfront located just below the park. It had a lovely beach along the waterfront.
Oaks Park is so many things that it's kind of hard to describe. Free parking and admission? Yes. Shady riverside picnic area? Yes. Midway with lots of games? Yes. The best rides between Seattle and San Francisco? Sure. A roller skating rink? That too. The only clunky thing is the way that you access all this stuff is by buying either tickets or a ride bracelet, and it can be confusing for uninitiated as to what all you can use the bracelet for. Website explains it all tho.
It was amazing, but most amazing was MARCUS. He is the best employee there. Pictures below (Give him a promotion and/or raise.) Edit: he's the one with the blond mowhack. Edit: my brother and I Carved pumpkins in his honor
Many Childhood memories here been on plenty of dates here, good place to take younger kids, rides aren’t that spectacular after a while but, this place is historical, the roller rink is pretty fun too
On January 22nd when I visited it seemed as if ALL of the rides were being redone or something. They were off to the side pretty much. The only thing that was open was the roller skating rink. I hope that the rides will be back up soon and Oaks Amusement Park will be back to its former glory in no time! Hopefully they update their page too... I drove all the way from Sandy Oregon for the rides. Skating was fun though! I felt like a kid again.
So this is definitely different than the 90s Oaks Park I grew up in, but in so many good ways. There is more than enough here to keep an entire family busy for a full day. We generally tap out after 4 or 5 hours though. We've gone twice this year so far - first time with our son and our younger niece and nephew. There were more than enough rides and games for the littles to enjoy. The second time we took our son and his friend and were able to do all of the bigger rides - like Adrenaline Peak, which is a serious upgrade over the old roller coaster. We also played the put-put course this last time around (fun fun) and hit the arcade, which is another big upgrade over the Oaks Park I grew up with in the 90s.
Still love this place 🙌
Great old style amusement park with a tree-covered picnic area for families. Carnival rides, putt-putt golf, and all the bad food you loved as a kid are there, too. Don't miss it!
Fun but classes are too big and less focus on learning. Felt more like a cattle market
It's fun here but disappointed that you have to pay for so many things separate. For 1 the new rollarcoaster should be included in your ride bracelet. Hoping they can do something revising of combining everything I to 1 without breaking a families bank account. Otherwise it's a pretty fun place
I took my 4 year old for the special toddler time on Wed. Morning from 10-12... it was so much fun. Only $11, and a perfect amount of time for a little one.
The roller rink is such a fun blast from the past, and at $10 including skate rental, very affordable.
Been going here for years. Time it right and there are no lines - kids are in heaven. Nice setting along the river.
Roller skating is fun too
A classic family destination
I am likely biased since my family had a blast and the people working there were aces. Never been before, but will be back again.
It was OK and would have been fun but they only had options to buy bracelets for $42 and it was only one hour to close so my child only got to ride three rides. Had I bought tickets for both of us, it would have cost us $84 for one hour and 3 rides which is ridiculous. They should sell individual tickets per ride to be fair and sell bracelets for all day riders.
Very fun for the family! Its pretty small but that makes it easier with smaller kiddos
Love this place it is sooo fun, there are rides foe little kids and older kids, there are food carts,Games where you can win prizes, and so much more, Hope yo go there again!❤️
Lots of fun love the rides. Went on my birthday with my niece and my mom.
It is the Only place I know that has a skating rink. Fun. Wishing they would bring back skating rinks elsewhere.
I came here the other day with friends & it was super fun & had a variety of rides. Kind of pricey though and you need to pay separately to ride the big ride & go carts. Good food and ice cream.
Great experience at 4th of July this year! It was a little weird having the fireworks behind the trees. Maybe a drone show would be better for the location!
Love it, going on 4th of July was the best time we have ever had there and watching the fireworks while on the rides was so kewl.
Me and my family had a great time. Obviously did you come and we have the social distancing. And they're not running a full capacity. With that said lines are short staff there was polite. It was good to get out. A little more expensive than it used to be but I'm okay with that considering they have to keep things running to stay open. My family and I have always had a great time in oaks park. The new rides were great.
Great family fun! Pet friendly. Ive Been coming here since I was a kid and now I bring my children. This is the first time I have seen the new roller coaster, a nice upgrade.
We attend the annual autism walk. It's great. Plenty of rides for young and young at heart. Always check online they offer discounts on the ride bracelets at different times of the year.
This year's spook fest was definitely better than the previous 2 years....worth it
Wonderful staff and rides. Went on a hot day but they had cooling areas and free ice water around the park
I've been going to this place for years, but with the changing economy and overgrowing population of people moving here, it has made the less enjoyable. I shouldn't have to pay $60 (guestimating) if I want to go on one ride. Also, if you want to know what a real free skate session looks like, go to the South and see how they do it in Springdale, AR or Atlanta, GA.
Love it there kids had fun very clean and good for families to have fun
Very fun place for all ages. So happy that the train had a car for folks in wheelchairs to roll onto. It would be nice if they had a spare wheelchair there for older folks who have a difficult job sitting on the regular train seats that appear to be made for children. Food selection is pretty basic. Adding an option that fits gluten-free and vegan diets would be a nice addition. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience and staff was friendly.
Lines weren't too bad. We won a prize for every game we played. The kids "7&9" had a blast!
Loved the quality of the rides and the safety procedures of the operators. However, only three stars for the expense. Cost almost $50 for a seven year old's ride bracelet because she was over 48".
Would be 5 stars if the lady working at the entrance of the big slide wasn't so rude- she threw the sack at my 3 year old and when we got to the bottom of the slide she very rudely said "sacks!" Rushing us to get off when we had not even come to a complete stop. The old man working the kiddie car ride was a creep. Definitely shouldn't be in the kiddie part of the park. He refused to move out of the way so I could go unbuckle my child and I had to squeeze past him to do so. I think he enjoyed that.
The kids play area had poop one the carpet and was REALLY dirty. Looked like they have NEVER cleaned it. A simple wipe down and running a vacuum would be the least they can do. Otherwise, we had fun. The kids liked the rides and the food was decent.
We had a fantastic time. It's a small, local amusement park that is perfect to head out for a day once in a while. There are a couple of bigger rides plus several small rides and of course, the Scrambler, Tilt-a Whirl, etc. My 12 and 10 year olds were happy there all day. I had a great time as well. As a plus size woman (18-20) I had no problem on the rides I wanted to go on. The food is reasonably priced, my burger was overcooked but edible.
More like a carnival but free parking and Adrenaline Peak is a great coaster
This is a fun family owned amusement park. It's nice that there's no admission fee. You can bring picnics, and enjoy the day under the trees at the tables they have along the river front.
There is a skating rink, with an original, working, pipe organ in the ceiling.
It's fun for the whole family.
We got our tickets online & took advantage of the “specials”. $36 for the unlimited rides bracelet + mini golf + 16 oz drink versus $40 original price for just the bracelet. Awesome deal!
We only had issues with two workers, aside from that the staff was friendly enough.
1. My BF had his hands up in the “Rock an’ Roll” ride, trying to encourage my nephew to not be scared and enjoy the ride. It is so hard to hear with the hydraulics and music being blasted. Apparently the male worker had made an announcement for him to put his hands down & since my BF couldn’t hear him, he simply took it as my BF refusing to listen & stopped the ride to kick them off. My BF tried to explain that he wasn’t trying to be rude, he just genuinely couldn’t hear where the worker became sarcastic with him saying “oh yeah I bet you couldn’t hear me”. Rude & unnecessary. My BF, again, when the ride ended tried to apologize again and explain he couldn’t hear, where the worker had the same sarcastic remark.
Did not return to that ride.
2. Had a female worker on the top of the big slide. I’m sure she was put there to help little ones lay their blanket and slide safely down but she did none of that. She looked extremely irritated to be there & didn’t help any of the kids. She had an annoyed look on her face and stood at the corner at the top not doing anything.
Everyone else was friendly, considering the heat and having to work on a nice day. Appreciated for sure.
———————
It’s a bit annoying to have to ring up the free drinks one by one, especially with a long line but free is free.

The kids had fun on the rides they could ride. Would recommend going once kids are at a height where they can ride all the rides. Get your moneys worth. Lines weren’t too long at all, we went on a weekday versus the weekend. Would recommend.
Spider and “zip” looking machines where down but everything else was up and running.
I would recommend Oaks Amusement Park for a fun family outing. The grounds are lovely and the rides are fun.
They cleaned up since last last time I was there, kids will enjoy it
Took 12 young girls here and they had a blast
The overall experience just almost perfect in everything, the rides are a decent lineup, from bumper cars to ATMOSfear, the food is 8/10 for being standard carnival food but better than most parks like six flags etc.
Such a nice place to visit, my kids loved it! Definitely coming back again
Great amusement park with lots of fun rides. The only thing that would make it better would be if you could purchase tickets for rides so you can just choose a few
A fun step back in time for nice amusements. Well maintained w/ water misting stations to combat the summer heat. Visit often!!
No snocones and the shaved ice cart wasn't open. Even the Icee machine was broken. On a summer day. What a shame.
So much fun i went with friends and had a blast
My daughter and I love to skate at the roller rink. They have one of the most well preserved historical rinks in the United States. The automated band from the early 1900s that sits above the rink is absolutely a marvel. Go take a look!
Definitely not for low income families but it's a great place when u can go.
Wow this was such a great place for our family, we were able to go on so many rides and each ride had an incredibly friendly staff member. The price was great for the amount of time we spent there and the amount of rides we were able to go on. The food wasn't over priced either which was a huge surprise for an amusement park. There is also a long history that follows Oaks Amusement Park that gave it an incredible feeling. I hope you'll have a great time if you get a chance to visit.
The roller skating here is still a blast. New updated food area is a big bonus. Adult beverages are available! Only down side is that it can get crowded for the size of space.
Great value, fun rides, well kept grounds.
Pavilions are multi-use: roller skating, to dance lessons...
The only skating rink around! I love it here it's for people of all ages and experience!
The holiday express starts from this place in December season, we went today and the experience is awesome
Concessions stand needs a manager, those teenagers working it need direction. Every person in line waits 45 mins for something that should take 5 mins.
Used to be unreasonably priced. It cost 45.00 for my 8 yr old and 4 year old. Games are 3.00 each and half the rides wernt open for the little one.
Small but entertaining amusement park, good to spend some time here. Parking was a positive thing about my experience here. Roller coaster was fun!
Went skating with my scout group, and we had so much fun. Took a little bit to get the hang of it again, but all of enjoyed ourselves. Can't wait to try out Glow Night.
I go skating here every Tuesday because there are no disgusting children here! I love it so much, I always hit raw!
It's definitely a fun place, but it should be open longer there 5 hours. The braclets are very expensive for only 5 hours so your kinda getting ripped off. Food is expensive too so you better bring your own if you can.
Went to the rink and walked through the park. Excited to see a new ride has been put in! The grounds looked amazing as usual. So nice to see that even in the off season, they care about the park and its upkeep!
And the skating rink is the best!! 🛼 …
It's a great little place. has a little something for all ages. Pretty good roller coaster for a small amusement park. Even roller skating. Bumper cars. Carousel. Fair prices
Lovely place to spend the day with the family. Check out the history and enjoy the rides.
The fun place I've been going there since I was a little kid myself now I get to take all my nieces and nephews had A-blast
They had tons of fun stuff to see & do.
The weather was right for a fair day.
I walked with my group & saw a lot of fun things at the fair.
Always a good time at Oaks Park. I love that they have preschool rides with story time.
Had our company picnic at Oaks Park. Rides were fine. I'd rate it at 3-4 stars. Takes you back to years ago. Don't have them cater the food though. We had purchased enough food for 200 people. They served lemonade and water in 5 gallon jugs and supplied the cups. Someone poured lemonade and water through the spigots and found black mold floating on top. They replaced the drinks but not sure how clean they actually they were able to clean the spigots. When the cups ran out, they wouldn't replace them. The food was supposed to be ready at 11:30 but wasn't ready until 12:45. We had shredded chicken, beef and pork. It was dry and lacking any flavor. They only served one small punch bowl of slaw which also lacked any seasoning. We only had enough slaw for about 70 people.
A little old but nostalgic rides and love the roller skating rink!
Pacific Bath Company had our company picnic there Saturday 9/24 and it was fantastic!
Love to roller skate here! pro shop was honest and helped tune my skates and got me great indoor wheels!
The park itself was alright. But the best part was the churros stand. The guy who worked there was super nice and the churros were great.
Had a blast great fun for the kids lots to do and great food and ice cream and all kinds of deals hours of fun
Fun for kids of all ages. Nice grassy areas and picnic tables. Food is expensive for the quality. I'd bring a picnic next time.
Okay so School field trip me and my two friends were trying to go on rides I understand this place has a lot of stuff and I wish I had more time because we only had about 3 hours to do anything but it was too much for me everyone was in the ticket booth people were trying to push in and it was kind of a disaster to my standards if you're going on a school field trip to Oaks Park think twice what you do Aerosoles the rice for okay but me and my friends didn't go on one because they wanted me to upgrade even more so next time when I go to Oaks Park again bring 50 bucks I bet that you will
Oaks Park is such a seminal part of Portland culture and history, I hope it never loses customers! If you haven’t been roller skating since you were a kid, you are in for a treat at the beautiful rink.
First time here with our kids for preschool hours. The rides were fun and not too crowded. The kids loved the story time afterwards, the woman who hosted did a great job and all the kids were engaged. We packed a lunch and purchased some concessions. We found a shaded picnic table and were enjoying our lunch for a few minutes when we were approached by an employee and told we were not allowed to be there long as they charged for sitting at the picnic tables. If that’s the case, make a sign to say so. If that’s the case, charge me $5 so I can have lunch with my family. SO many available tables, but no ones allowed to use them?? Ridiculous.
As an adult, there's really only two rides worth looking forward to, but those two are pretty freaking fun. For kids, there's quite a few fun rides and plenty of stuff to kill the day. I'm glad they started including the "big" rides in their ticket prices. Definitely worth a trip if you're from out of town, or an annual visit for the locals.
Great little amusement park. They do a ton of work with non profit organizations. Child diabetes, Crohn's walks they give back to the community a bunch. And its a fun place to go
It was fun. Very crowded. Long lines. Spent most of our 4 hours there waiting in line. But the kids had fun and loved the rides once they got on. The food prices though.... yikes! You should definitely take your own food and drinks to save some money.
We really have a great time when we come we have not been roller skating in years. But it's a great place to bring your family. Lots of trees to get out of the Sun and relax a bit in the shade and have a nice picnic.
totally awesome place their new ride the atmosphere is so fast it feels like your skin is gonna fall off lol. Adrenaline peak is the best ride there by far and it is a thrill to have. A word of advice for the atmosphere: if the line looks long don't pass off the opportunity the line is so short because of how many people it fits. If you have a weak stomach please don't go on zero gravity.
Fun for all ages, We went to the preschool park rides that happens before the actual park opens. Plenty of rides and the $10 price tag can't be beat. Be ready to spend money to eat or play games, the games cost $5 each. We didn't eat there but the prices are a little high.
Nice amusement Park. Tickets are a bit expensive in my opinion for the kids that are over 48" and can't go in all the rides. Not all of the rides were open when I visited. Carousel and train are free.
Not the cleanest place in the world. $54 per adult is steep for what they offer.
We went for our friends child, birthday party and were pretty pleased with the cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff. Rides were much easier to go on. If one wants to visit, one must purchase online first. As they will turn away anyone with out a online voucher. Otherwise than that, it was a pretty great experience. Would love to come again, even if not for a birthday party.
It is definitely family friendly, from toddlers to great grandparents. Small, sord of quaint permanent carnival atmosphere with food items for sale, children's and adult rides, carnival games (without the pressure of a stand barker). Access for the disabled using mobility devices is well, the paths are paved, easy accessible restrooms. There is also a lot of covered group picnic areas. Additionally, there is also a roller rink, but I didn't check it out.
Was absolutely awesome, had a blast!! Food was good, rides were awesome! Family had a great time! Only complaint would be the mister tents weren't working but I gladly took the heat for the amount y of fun it was.
Great skating experience. Good music ( '80's ). Clean place, great smooth skating floor. It had regular skate : anti - clock wise , reverse skate : clock wise, speed skate for different age groups
Always love to visit this Portland staple during the summer. I like to see many new rides since the last time I visited.
Sad that the Screaming Eagle has been replaced, but the new ride is just as fun! Great spot for kids of all ages.
I love going to Oaks Park!
Side note: I went with my friends and we all had a great time! (Even though Michael my friend flicked me off because I toke a picture of him :(
Old fashioned amusement park and what a low cost treat it is. Several rides for younger ones age 6 and under but lots to thrill the older ones too. Bumper cars, authentic merry go roundroller, a skating rink, games galore and lots of picnic tables and free parking. Check their web site for special days and prices.
Loved it! Beautiful day and a nice afternoon sun! Rollercoaster was a great addition to the rides that they have in place already, thanks...
Cool little park, lots to walk around, free to get in.
Had a good time. My only wish is that they stay open longer. 7pm is too early to close a theme park in my opinion. Half the fun is riding at night with all the lights on! Also, it gets busy, and the lines get very long. So you end up using a lot of time standing in line. It is a very small theme park. For the overall size and time frame offered, this park should be less in cost.
Seems like the only fun ride there is the big rollercoaster but the rest is rather disappointing. I wouldn't call it a park rather I would call it a lot with a bunch special metal and loud screams. Good for ages 11 and under since they don't know how not to be scared on rides. Mini golf there is an embarrassment to society.
Great place to spend a Saturday. Priced reasonably and rides are fun with friends. Been coming here for years, it's a must for summer break.
My little Kids and my teen and his friend had a blast. Wish it was more consistent with what rides the parent can accompany their child without having their own bracelet and which ones the adult needs bracelet too. A couple of rides I went on with my daughter and had no bracelet but when my husband waited in line and went to go with our youngest they said he couldn't ride without a bracelet. Website says you can though sooo that kind of sucked not knowing when you could and she you couldn't accompany a child. Also, none of these were rides we “wanted” to ride, they were all the little kid 48” and under rides.
Was fun. A bit crowded. Kids enjoyed it. It's like a big state fair. Not so much an amusement park. But still lots of fun.
Fun summer day with the family. Throwback to the old fashioned boardwalks. No admission to get in, just to ride.
It's not the worse thing out there. I definitely wouldn't go on any of the rides myself personally. They had a couple of them that broke down during hours.
Had a blast with the homies at donuts and drip. Thanks oaks park.
Over priced but still fun. Some of the rides were not open. Probably due to staffing shortages.
So much fun!! Some rides are free during summer!! I loved it!
Fun for the whole family! Short wait time for rides and free parking. Lots of picnic tables.
Love Oaks Park. . . Nice little family park setting with some fair rides, mini-golf and a roller-skating rink. $40 for unlimited rides for adults *mini-golf, and roller-skating NOT included in that price. Some pretty decent rides too. But may be about $10 pricier than it should be. Or atleast add in the choice of mini-golf or roller-skating at that $40 price tag?!?!
But fun nonetheless. Food was great, decently priced. Bring the fam & well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome too. 😉
Best place to take a skating date! Lockers are available. They also have my favorite pinball machine - NBA fastbreak
There are a couple places in the roller rink where inexperienced skaters (like myself) can practice and learn as well as a live organ player!
Had a blast! Lots to do for family fun
Fun fun fun,all day long😊 also visited the Halloween swamp that was really nice …
Priced fair enough to enjoy. We must of picked a good time to go, Wasn't alot of people so the wait time was nil to nothing. The refillable cup was a great idea. Happy to go again thanks
Great outdoor space for families and options for company or school events.
This place was AMAZING. I had so much fun, the atmosfear is the best ride, in my opinion. Specially the purple rollercoaster it was FUN, but the drop at the beginning gave me goosebumps bumps.
The largest rollercoaster was out of operation, but all the other rides that matter were. That tiny rollercoaster really jostles the hell out of you. Really cool of them to include a water fountain by the bathrooms. Hot day that day. Bring sunscreen in the car (reentry is permitted). I'm stuck between wanting the go karts to go faster (their max throttle is remotely controlled-- cool, huh?) and recognizing that people end up fishtailing at the speeds they're already going on that track. The probably-minimum-wage workers there were helpful and plentiful.
Mask are optional unless on a ride or indoors. They have a new ride and everything was open! Oaks park is great. good food, good rides, good family fun! But as of right now you have to order tickets a day in advance online.there keeping the crowds low because of covid.
So much fun! Grateful to a friend for having an event there and can't believe we haven't been before! My 9-year old was too tall for a child ticket but I was able to upgrade her ticket I bout online at the ticket booth. The roller coaster is amazing, and there enough spinning rides to make anyone queasy. Didn't try the carnival booths but saw plenty of families with giant stuffies so I'm guessing they aren't rigged. Will definitely go back for the roller rink and mini golf. Also on the to-do list is to try one of the giant elephant ears we saw. Plenty of shade covered grass for testing and few lines for rides. Everyone was wearing their face coverings and there were giant bottles of hand sanitizer attached to most rides. The restrooms were clean and it was great to see people again!
Old school wood floor rollerskating! Very crowded but fun!
I've actually been here twice this year for picnics. Beautiful setting for such events. Well attended for a park over 100 years old. Could stand a little upgrading on restrooms. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
My 2 year old loves the rides. Only downside was the food stand didn't open on time and I waited another half hour before giving up and leaving. The food stand should be open for the Chippers time frame also, it would help with meltdowns. This was my second visit for the week.
Had a good time, prices on food items are really high
Can be a little expensive if you don't or can't ride the rides multiple times due to motion sickness. But my son had a great time!
Had a great time. Grounds were clean and rides were awesome. A bit expensive to reserve a picnic area.
This place is like a small fair that has a small roller coaster. Was very hot today and there are no options for free water to drink, and of course all drink options are double what they would be anywhere else. Kids loved it, but they can endure heat, uncomfortable seating and crowds.
It was so much fun I forgot my kid in the car but luckily the window was cracked
They are good, nice people always welcoming to families and doggies!
Great place for those with younger kids. Lots of ride choices
Always loved this place since I was a child!
Roller skating, roller derby, roller coasters! Mini golf, go carts, and games. Love this place. Been going since the days of Rambling Rod. Timeless.
It was great !went for grandsons birthday the kids had a blast riding all the rides! We had a picnic plenty of picnic lots of trees nice and shady as it was hot,we stayed cool all day!and the river is just a short walk on the trail too!
This is such a fun place to go with the family. Lots of rides for all ages. The new roller coaster looks awesome, we did not ride it on our last trip as we had our little kids with us. There is lots to do and so many fun attractions. The park is not so large that you have to walk forever to have fun. When you buy unlimited rides bracelets you also get into the roller rink as well.
Enjoyed a company picnic at oaks Park and took the family on the rides , great weather, good food lines weren't to long of a wait.
Clean and efficient. Except for snack bar. Forty minutes for pretzels.
FUN... GOOD LOCAL FUN...... Not to expensive and just rite for the WHOLE FAMILY.....
A real nice place to relax on a beautiful Sunday afternoon....especially by the river
I come skating almost every friday, have loved this rink every time, and same with the staff, especialy happy that the pandemic did not run them out of buisness, now i can keep enjoying this place and all its old memories of childhood fresh in my mind.
Lots more rides then i thought there was going to be and really good rollercoaster practically no lines
Had a great time. Haven't been in years will return soon!!
The rides here are pretty great. I love the roller coaster they have although the prices are so expensive. I'd say it's worth at least one visit in the summer. The roller skating is amazing and has been for so long. They still have people playing the organ that's in the middle of the rink and it always sounds so beautiful! Great spot for roller skating.
Had a great time!!! Carnival plus Halloween equals mass fun!!!!!
Oaks Park is a wonderful place to go locally to Portland!
Nice place for family and all ages. Allots allots of fun!!! For kids and teens
The roller rink IS NOT handicapped or wheelchair accessible at all!
Finally got to go skating after almost two years! Oaks park skating rink is always fun to go to. Tickets have to be purchased online ahead of time because they're limited to 50 people at a time. You get two hours to skate which is plenty of time. The newly remodeled snack bar is open with a limited menu.
This place is fun but I don't trust the maintenance.
Everything there is amazing. It's got plenty of rides for all ages. All the rides seemed to be in great working order. I love that there's no admission fee to just walk in and walk around. If you want to ride rides, you can purchase the bracelets, all at different game tiers and pricing, or you can buy individual midway tickets. Free skate is included with the bracelet as well, or again, you can purchase separately. All of the workers were pleasant and friendly. Will definitely be returning.
The kids had a blast there.
Kids love the rides great place to go spend some time in the sun.. from top of ride by skateing rink
This was really fun. My entire family went for my niece's birthday. The only downside is that the bracelets you get for the party don't allow the roller coaster and that is an additional $20 on top of the $22 already for the bracelets per person. The lines weren't too bad and it was a lot of fun. There are rides for everyone.
Ain't too big, ain't too small, just the right size and price. It wouldn't hurt to grow a bit bigger, but it feels great. Very family friendly, abundant parking.
Has ok covid protocols. No proof of vaccination but does have timely reminders for people to wear their masks.
We love this place! I was super sad my favorite ride wasn't up and running and wish I could have seen that information before driving 2+ hours to spend the day here, but even that doesn't reduce my review. This is a perfect and affordable way to spend the day with the family and the big coaster is fantastic!!!! There's something here for everyone in the family to do or ride and I like that they have the picnic areas so we can bring our own food. Staff was typically friendly and helpful and fun. We want to go at least once a year for the foreseeable future for sure!
Great and fun place to go for the summer!!!! Tickets may be hard to get on 4th of July but it’s worth trouble and there foods great and all the rides are fun but I wish they didn’t get rid of the screaming eagle
We had a blast it's very different from maybe 3 years ago I could be wrong it seemed like the was more ride I though there was more the little to do
We had a blast! Autism walk!
I could not sit at much of the seating due to the highly scented flowers right there. They were pretty though. The rides are fun for my kids, but they enjoy skating even more. Thanks for having such a great rink!
Son LOVES this place..
We went there today and had a BLAST!!!
Its perfect for going roller skating or even just riding a couple rides or Just a quick family day! Loved the Halloween event, actors were so realistic sadly the line for the haunted house was to long and you need to check that atmosphere because when I was about to go on it, it malfunctioned and they closed it.
Some pretty fun rides! All my kiddos loved it!
