Absolutely love Bethany Athletic Club! From their Kid Central to Bistro to swim lessons and gym classes, I have never been to a “gym” that offered so much to their members for such a reasonable price. I am so happy to have found such a welcoming and happy environment in our community. I quote literally consider it my “happy place”. If only the spa would open again for massages, I would be even happier! :

My family and I have been happy at BAC. The staff has been friendly and helpful. I enjoy Yoga Basics on Tuesday and have sampled quite a number of classes. It seems whatever your level of fitness you’re looking for they have it. The indoor track and fitness equipment are useful and in great shape. Whatever your schedule they seem to accommodate with the classes and/or the open gym. The swimming pool and outdoor area are nice in the summertime. The bistro has never disappointed. I have yet to find something I don’t like. The special occasion celebrations/holiday events have been fun for the whole family. The only reason I give 4 out of 5 stars is because I’m not a big fan of the B Salon. The two times I’ve been there I’ve walked out disappointed, even bleeding from my eyebrow the one time. So, I’ll pass on the salon but happily keep going back for everything else.

We love BAC! It’s been a great club for our entire family. Our young kids love the Kids Club! Laura, Anna and the rest of the staff are great with them! We’ve done a few half day camps and Coach Jackie has a fun, bubbly personality and is so good with the kids. We also enjoy getting food from the bistro. The chef/manager (I believe Amy) prepares anything to your liking/preference! Overall, a great club!

I like using the pool, and certain times are easier to get a lane than others. Fabiola's yoga is terrific, it's just hard to get there at 1 PM on Wednesday's. The front desk staff changes a lot, some are friendly and welcoming. I miss the summer crew, they were a blast. I was counting on getting my son 3 training sessions for Christmas for $150, but now they are only selling 4 sessions for $200, which is over my budget. Not sure why they can't be more flexible and not sure why they had to change it. Super bummed! Update: regarding the comment below, the person I talked to over the phone today confirmed with the people in the office that I could not under any circumstances buy 3 sessions for $150. I even asked if I could buy the package after the holidays, she said No, she didn't know when that option would be available again, could be months she said. So I told her I was very disappointed and would have to find something else for my son for Christmas and she said "yes, find your son something else for Christmas." So I did, at a different athletic club and we aren't even members!

I find it suspicious that most negative reviews end with a recommendation to a certain gym.. I love the indoor track and two swimming pools. The locker rooms are nice and clean. No pushy personal trainers and the membership is month to month. I had to cancel my membership for a year but when it's time to join a gym again, this is the place for me.

This club is awesome! It’s clean (locker rooms, pool, workout rooms). There are some great classes (TRX, cycling, body pump, barre and more) offered at all times of day and the instructors are great at modifying the moves in each class for any fitness level. The bistro has some delicious smoothies and every meal I’ve tried there is really good (pesto pasta, tomato bisque, turkey panini, salads). I think the best part (for me) is the kids club. My kids LOVE it there. All the staff that care for the kids build great relationships with each child. They do fun things with the kids like take them to play in the basketball court, run on the track, tumbling, etc. In the kids club there are a multitude of things for the kids to do like crafts, toys, reading, etc. Another major bonus are the parents night out that they do at least once a month. Parents get to drop kids off and go out and the kids get to do a movie and pizza night or a sports night with a bunch of fun activities. PLUS! There is a spa at the gym called B Salon & Spa (I go to them exclusively for my hair, nails, massage and wax services) and the kids club will watch my kids while I’m at the salon/spa. It’s so wonderful! I highly recommend this gym!

All in all an amazing Club! Just little personal preferences I miss. The weight room could be larger but you find all you need plus it's very good new condition. The inside pool is not really inviting but the outside pool is amazing and the spa area is nice and relaxing. Very friendly staff and members. Smiles everywhere. Great unique youth program!

Super friendly staff, supportive trainers, new equipment and the diversity of classes all make the Bethany Athletic Club a fantastic place to get fit! I haven't been in a gym for years (mostly because I loathe the typical gym environment) but the atmosphere in the Club is light and welcoming! And, they also have a Spa (Eric does the BEST deep tissue message) and upstairs they opened the "Bistro" do yourself a favor and grab an omelette- yum! Overall, awesome.

Fantastic club. They have everything for kids and adults. The gym is large and has multiple basketball hoops. There is also an indoor and outdoor pool! Would 100% recommend!

I give the club a 5, the spa a 3. The classes and staff and facilities are fantastic. Had a so-so facial at the spa and a not great hair coloring that I got corrected elsewhere. But for fitness, it's a really friendly and wonderful place. My kids also love the kids fitness programming.

We have been a member since Club opened & right now it is fantastic. Great staff, new equipment & immaculate. Offers oodles of options for our enjoyment & health. Thank you to the Owners for all their hard work making this Club exceptional. There was a time in the past where the previous owners ran the Club down & we almost left but the new owners proved our loyalty. .

As an instructor and a member, I really enjoy the facilities and community at Bethany Sport and Spa. Although the space went through a challenging transition from previous ownership, the staff has remained committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment. With new equipment, carpet, and services, the club is returning to its original grandeur. It is the only club in my area with an indoor track, indoor AND outdoor pool, and multiple hot tubs - and well worth the price. It also has one of THE most beautiful Group Fitness rooms in all of Portland.

Cleanest club around! Bethany Athletic Club keeps their facility in tip top shape 24/7. They have everything you would ever need to use — including an indoor designated functional training/crossfit room! Don't see that very often from family gyms. The bistro food is AMAZING and definitely underrated! They have a variety of delicious and healthy items, including meal prep. They do caterings, events, cakes, you name it! Overall, definitely the best athletic club around.

Been a year since I joined an loving it.there are a number of choices for group fitness classes both evenings and mornings.trainers are knowledgeable about equimnts and fitness plans. The bistro is my favorite place to have a hearty bite afters a workout . My daughter lives the salads and smoothies. Would recommend the club to anybody looking for bet quality of services.

We love kids central, we can drop off the kids while we work out. Great way for the kids to socials, they have many toys and the area is always clean. The staff is welcoming and informative of how our twins Saanvi and Rishika did. My 3.5 year old twins have been going there since they were 2. Lora has been there the entire time; she is always there with a smile. My twins usually cry at first but once they see Lora they immediately stop, Lora keeps them occupied with art and sometimes gets them snack from bistro or goes for a small walk around the facility. All the staff are great, Erika has helped me carry one of the twins all the way to the car, amazing service. Anna has the ability to make any kid happy, and Justyn big guy not too talkative has been there almost as long as Lora, he also has the ability to keep the kids entertained and responsive. This club is right down the street from my house. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. The prices double that of the 24 hour fitness supersport dkwn the road. In all honesty the only thing this place has on 24 is the track that runs around the entire gym. Their weight section is actually pretty small. Nice basketball court but still. Way overpriced for what you get.

Bethany is a great place for me to work out with friends and keep my exercise routine on track. It's close to my house, people are very friendly, and Tre Sorelle spa is awesome! I had the most relaxing and pampering spa treatment ever a couple of weeks ago. I highly recommend Missy's total body exfoliation treatment with lavender. My trainer Alexandra is the best trainer I've ever had. She is an expert in Pilates and the most motivational coach I could ask for! She hasn't given up on me even though I wanted to give up on myself. She is exceptionally focused and makes sure I get the most out of every workout. Bethany is a great place to be if you want an gym that is close, friendly and reasonably priced. Two more of my friends just joined and I plan to be a loyal member for years.

Just went in for a massage today. The facility was clean and everybody was welcoming and knowledge. My massage therapist was amazing too. When you go, ask for Jackie. Her deep tissue is amazing!

Little on the expensive side (which stops it from getting 5 stars) but you get indoor and outdoor swimming, an updated gym, a cafe, running track, spin, you name it. They do not have racquetball courts which is a miss but everything is clean and updated. They also have a childcare center where they offer date nights once a month.

I enjoy our experience when school is in session, but their day care takes priority on days off. I’m sure it’s great if you have young kids to be able to dump them off here, but when the schedule says free basketball court and it’s taken up by the day care it’s annoying. The kids are allowed to use the track to play tag unsupervised which is dangerous due to my mobility issues. Young kids are given priority access to the amenities over adults. If you’re looking for an adult focused club instead of a day care SAC is a better option. Also, the showers are breaking quickly and aren’t being repaired. Currently, one runs constantly with steaming hot water.
