Reviews of Tobyhanna State Park
stacy good
Beautiful and peaceful park (during the week) The lake is gorgeous, seen deer roaming, caught some fish, watched the beavers. The campground is nice with about medium sized campsites, a few smaller, a few larger. Would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for the loud and disturbing group of campers that kept us awake well after midnight and were playing loud music at 6am..I expected to see a park ranger patrolling the campground but I never seen one our entire stay.
Victoria N
Great little spot! Busy on Fourth of July weekend with some neighboring folks playing loud music into the very late hours of the night, but that’s pretty standard for a holiday weekend. Easy to buy wood, great lake and kayaking.
Jo Ann Silva
It was a winter camping extreme with our new Riverside Retro 193! Cold, crazy weather, snow, sleet & rain, windy but hauntingly beautiful! A very nice PA state park!
Eric Radloff
Loved this park so much. It was exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful, clean, lots of diverse plants, mushrooms and animals. The 5 mile loop around the lake was perfect for a low effort day hike. I'll be back when its warmer to do some kayaking!
Altagracia Medrano
We went to check out this park in Pennsylvania(we were visiting the area) Went on a thursday when the temperature was kind of cool and there was not a lot of people, so I loved that. Dont be surprised by the brown color of the lake water; its because of the iron content of the rocks in the lake.Theres lots of tables and grills throughout the park. oh, theres a sign that the lake has non venemonous snakes in it. .Forgot which type of snake. . ..
Mikiah Groff
Beautiful campground!⛺ Nice bike trail around the lake.🚴♂️ Nice lake!🚣 Loved Tobyhanna state park! The campground has a small playground at it. A larger playground can be found by going around the lake over to the beach.⛱️ I didn't find the drinking water to be a problem.
Angela Wojciechowski
We enjoyed our 5 mile walk around the lake. Trails were very well maintained and the view was beautiful. Stewart (@stu_da_begga) enjoyed all the smells and dipping in the lake.
Anushka Banerjee
The experience was good. It is a good place for beginners to learn camping. The camp grounds had public restrooms. The lake had boats and kayaks for rent. Well maintained camping grounds. The drive to this place is good and it is just the right amount of remote- shops are nearby but located conveniently away so that it is completely quiet and dark at night. However not many trails to explore but ideal place for a weekend picnic/camping experience with friends/family. Arrangements are there for campgrounds with electric or without it. Grills, table and benches for laying food was provided on-site
Josh Zylbershlag
Nice easy hike that’s mostly flat with a minor (200 foot) elevation gain. You hike around the lake. In winter the trail is snowy/icy.
Lindsey Meekins
Went on a long hike around the lake although only the last mile and a half was around the lake. The mosquitoes were AWFUL so be sure to bring bug spray or wear long sleeves and pants. It was nice and flat so it wasn't strenuous, just long.
Denise Lavache
I can't say enough nice things about Tobyhanna State Park. The kids always have a great time. The restrooms are lovely and they even have coin operated showers!
Maddie Bird
Tobyhanna State Park is one of our favorite campgrounds to stay at. My husband and I have been there in both the spring, and the fall, and have had incredible experiences every time. The shower and toilet facilities at the campground are always super clean, even during busy weekends.
The campgrounds are right next to the lake, and if you can get a spot on the water, it’s really easy to walk from your tent to the edge of the lake to watch the sunrise or get your fishing day started early. The sites are very spacious, and set far apart from one another. You can also access hiking trails that extend throughout the park directly from the campground, which is very convenient.
The only challenge we had during our trip a few weeks ago was purchasing wood at the park itself; there was no honor box to leave money for the wood that was stacked by the boathouse, so we had to drive all the way to Tobyhanna to get wood at a gas station. Every other time we’ve been there, however, there’s always been someone selling wood at the boathouse near the lake, so between Memorial Day and Labor Day I’m sure that is the case.
Overall a great campground that I highly recommend!

Love camping here. Restrooms are cleaned regularly. When you go tho make sure you clean up all your food and lock it in the car. YES there are BEARS and they're smart. Not afraid of people. Just be smart in return and you'll be awesome neighbors.
Dean Krosecz
Hiked Lakeside Trail today. It's a mostly flat, easy 5 mile hike. Lots of green tunnels this time of year.
This is a good trail for families with kids 10 or older. Younger if you let them ride their bikes.
Get there early to be in and out before the crowds. I hike this trail a couple of times a year. I'm always glad I did.
Gaby Ellenberger
Very nice local park. Nice easy and shaded trail around the lake. Though you only see the lake for about 10-20% of the hike
Keith Sandt
Nice little lake for small boats with trolling motor and kyakes caught some small mouth bass very enjoyable layed back day
Tug Foolington
Great place good beach and camping aswell highly recommend
Cheryl Saidi-Johnson
My family's first experience at a lake. We loved the boating and water activities available for rental as well as the "beach" portion. Unfortunate part of beachnportion was the dog poop that people left ALL OVER the grass leading to the beach. Flip flop wearers beware!
Walter Thompson
My favorite place to do meditation. In the winter time you can walk for miles here and never see another soul. In the Summer it thriving with wild life. Saw a bald eagle here one winter. Got video to prove it. Don’t tell anyone.
alla Kushner
Beautiful place to spend a day relaxing like swimming, boating, bbqing, hiking or walking your dog. There is a playing ground for kids.
Jonathan Sevy
Perfect place to see the fall leaves, reflected in a beautiful lake. Nice mostly level 5 mile trail around the lake that's also great for cross country skiing in the winter - being on the Pocono plateau, Tobyhanna often gets snow even when the lower elevations don't.
Axios Burrows
Had my wedding here. A little loud at times from over crowding
Emily Rituper
I grew up around this park and now live out of state so coming here means coming home for me. It's a true piece of the Poconos and amazing to experience in every season. They even ice fish in the winter🎣 Can't resist stoping to snap a sunset shot on my way to moms house …
Herping Pennsylvania
Great place!!! Lots of wild life so come visit and enjoy
Donald Sparacino
Very good hiking, great scenery, safe & very clean.

Tobyhanna is a multi-feature park. Lots of camping near the lake, boating and boat rentals, swimming beach, hiking and some modern facilities with running water at the bathrooms.

Wonderful State Park. Swimming in the summer. Hiking all year round.
****Summer 2018 update. Boat rentals have gone up. $20 per hour. Kayaks, canoe's, rowboats and pedal boats. Of course you can bring your own and enjoy boating the lake for free!!!!.****
***Update 2021****
Still beautiful here. Bought a 2 person inflatable kayak by Intex. Now we can paddle out to the middle of the lake and drop anchor and just chill. Away from the madness. Bring beverages and sandwiches and we are set for some truly relaxing hours. You can buy a launch permit and the park ranger station. Only $12 for the season. Rangers do check and you don't want to get hit with any fines.
Enjoy!
Barb Parz
I've been coming to Tobyhanna State Park for 30+ years. Love the updates that were made. Great facilities, campsite are nice and pretty level. You can rent boats, and with a launch permit (available at the park office) you can paddle your own kayak out. 2 boat launches, a beach, a playground and 10 miles of trails. One trail links to Gouldsboro State Park where you can find another 10 miles of trails. Lakeside trail is a bit deceptive, it's a 5 mile trail and less than half of it is actually lakeside or even lake view. Overall a nice, family place!
Iron monkey
Great trails and camping or more .....
Ram Jameson
This park has a campground. I visited the Lake to kayak. I was very impressed by the beauty. I enjoyed coming here and will probably do some camping next season. Word of caution.. if you're there for the day make sure you're things are completely packed before the Sun disappears. This area gets PITCH BLACK at night. I almost forgot to mention they have a nice little lakefront beach.
E Owen
Definitely worth a visit. We were staying at big bass lake and hear about this park from a friend. It is a massive lake with plenty to do. We went on a hike through a nature trail and even spent some time at the “beach”. The kids loved the beach while we loved the nature.
Matt Magill
Beautiful park and lake. The park is very well taken care of - clean restrooms and showers, no trash anywhere. Very high chance you will see a bear at night when camping, so keep your coolers/food/trash secure! Lots of options for boat rentals at the lake if you don't have your own.
Paul Kelly
Very nice state park in a great part of Pennsylvania. Within 2hrs of NYC, beautiful weather this time of year. Sunny during the day cooler at night and being on the lake provides for a perfect backdrop for camping with family and friends
Lilian Shaffer
Extremely nice park. Well groomed beach area. Clean restrooms. Washer & Dryer at shower house is a great addition to standard State Park offerings. Limited electric sites so book early.
Eliza W
Nice walking trail, I seen a beaver crossing a path, family of deers and very uniqe almost golden squirrel. Women's bathroom next to dam needs some sanitizer on the wall.
T.L. Ehrich
We camped here on a Sunday and Monday nite in July. We were fortunate to be able to drive thru the campground to pick out our site after checking them all out. Overall it's a nice campground, but the sites are very varied. Some are small, very small, and obviously have not been used for quite a while, some like ours (98)are a good size. Bathrooms are average and clean. Showers are very small, 3 stalls in each, but there is a unisex bathroom that has its own shower which gives you a little more room. There is a tub for dishwashing but you really need 2 people because the water only came on for about 3 seconds at a time with motion detection. There is bear activity, both nites we were there a bear (or 2) entered campsites when people were out around the fire. What really bothered us about that was we were the only campers on our end of the loop, very isolated, and while a ranger did drive by once after all the bear commotion, he did not even slow down to check on us when it was obvious we were there by our lights, and my husband even followed him up the road waving his flashlight. He never even slowed. Rangers in fact did not patrol very often, and did not seem friendly or interested at all in campers. There is a nice walk all the way around the lake, took us about 2 1/2 hours, and we rented an electric motored rowboat, $30 for 1 hour which was great to tool around and check out the lake. The beach looked nice but we did not visit it. You could walk there from the campground, or drive. Overall we are glad we went, we want to camp in as many PA state parks as possible. But at ~2 hr. drive away, we probably won't go back.
Julia Robinson
Went walking today in the snow. Trails have been super well prepared. If I lived here I would buy a pair of cross country skis and be out there everyday. The trail around the lake is relatively flat. Beautiful.
Alan Semon
Pretty lake and park. The lake is a great 2 or 3 hour paddle and the Lake Trail is a nice 5 mile bike trail. The trail has a little elevation change, but not a whole lot. Nice lake scenery along much of its length. The most interesting section of the lake is on the north side of the bridge. Not very long, but a nice little stream with plenty to see.
Dario Carlino
We had a very pleasant experience visiting Tobyhanna State Park. The main trail (blue) is properly marked and easy to find, just follow the lake you can’t miss it. The bathroom facilities properly maintained and the general upkeep of the park was top notch. It was a cold and overcast day so we didn’t see many people around, although I’m sure that’s different in the warmer months. There’s a beach, a boat rental station, and a playground. All in all we’re definitely coming back to finish the trail around the lake.
Steve Gordish
Now I cant say that I fully explored this area, but the time I did left me with a longing to return. Many wildflowers were about with sweet fragrances. There was also a wide variety of bird about. The trail explored was peaceful and not at all hard. Trail loops around the lake. Several fisherman were about on this visit. Pike and Bass biting. Worth a hike or maybe just a look about.
Charles Reiche
Very clean compared to other state park campgrounds. Good selection of sites. Modern bathrooms. There are bears, be mindful of food storage. They will come around and sniff, but if you leave nothing out, they will move along.
Arianna Krizek
Great lake and a nice beginner hike following the lake. All types of boat rentals available but it can get expensive. I only didn't give it 4 stars because some of the campsites are very small and are on top of each other. I felt like I was camping with the family next to me which I didn't want. Some sites are bigger and more secluded but it's random.
Kathy's Channel
Great early season camping. Best early or late season, not so crowded.
Cesar Vasquez Jr
Very clean, well groomed camp ground. All paved roads so good for our RV. Bathrooms and showers were clean and in good condition. We came in fall season so almost no people. Nice peaceful lake.
Ronnie D
Beautiful place, nice trail, peace, and tranquillity! They have a man made beach here.
Kathy P
Our young granddaughter is here for a visit so we went to the beach. It's still very nice - a small sandy beach with quite a few picnic tables in the grassy area behind it along with a playground. There are toilet facilites as well. It's a nice place for a peaceful afternoon.
Mark Richardson
Nice little park. Make sure to hike the Lake Side Trail.
The Eclectic Life
Love this place! We've been here several times and never had a bad experience. They have places to sit where you can have a nice picnic right near the water. There is an excellent, well-defined, 5 mile loop trail that goes around the entire lake. We took some of the other trails that diverge from the main trail and they were quite scenic as well. Parking is adequate and has never been filled to capacity for us. We usually park near the boat launch and they have bathrooms there too. This is a legit woodsy lake. You really feel like you're out in nature and away from civilization when you're here. We saw lots of birds, deer, turtles, snakes, mushrooms, and many species of plants. This place is a gem!
Meghan Duffy
We stayed at the campground, which was well-maintained. The automatic sinks in the restrooms we were near had cold water only, and the sensors must have been bad, as we had to touch the spigot to get the water to turn on. The sites are a lot closer together than we initially realized, and our site sloped down, making sleeping comfortably difficult. There was an ice cream truck that came a couple times a day, which was a nice surprise as there was no camp store. We wished there had been signage suggesting places to purchase local firewood, as we did not see any alongside the road, and the nearest Walmart (about 10 minutes away) was sold out. The lake was pretty to look at, but had a lot of dead plant life in it and the beach was rocky.
Debbie Briggs
Beautiful, clean. plenty of space between the campsites. Lake is great for boating, fishing and swimming!
Max Stephenson
Fun walk around the lake. Very easy hike but very beautiful
Kathleen Keiper
Took a boat out today on the lake. Had good time with my son and his friend. My friend sat waiting for us didn't feel up to it. Going back on Monday to take a canoe or kayak out. Good times
Rosemary Cardella
It was clean & bathrooms were very clean. Nice boat rental. Much nicer than Gouldsboro State Park in my opinion. I will go here much more often.
MmmKay
Nice large beach area, keep clean! Plenty of picnic benches and space for alot of people but you aren't on top of each other. The water was roped off- swim at your own risk ( no life guards)
The cons:
Water looks dark brown and sea weed alot in some spots some spots its just sand. Good for swimming, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and picnicking. We didn't use the facilities so I'm not sure how they are clean/dirty?
vandana shaw
It's a nice place for camping. It is clean and safe.we loved the place..there is a lake and beach also.. we did boating also... They provided fishing classes for kids.
thomas ryan
Small Park ,clean nice. best of all they have 🐻 bears …
Recovery Studio
What a wonderful place, the Pennsylvania State Parks are nature's shinning star. Well managed with water access, good size sites. Clean bathrooms & showers. 💚💚💚💚💚 …
Alyse Yoo
There are benches, picnic tables, BBQ grills and you can bring your dogs here, as well as alcohol. Yessss
Carla Ramoutar
Love the atmosphere in PA. But I think it's a bit of racism to be honest. We were told to leave the camp grounds. We didn't realize it was the camping area. I believe the people next to us left to go make a complaint....hey we didn't know!!
Abhilash Bhakre
Really amazing place. Bunch of activities to do such as hiking, camping, kayaking etc.
This place even has restrooms and drinking water.
John Reitz
We love Pa State parks. This one is one of the best we have visited yet!!! Beautiful views, distance between camping slots, and quiet. Love it!
Stephanie Anderson
We stopped by here for a walk with family and our dog. Everything was nice and clean. They have alot of opportunity for camping and renting canoes and paddle boats.
Arthur Trout
A great camping option with various sites and amenities. The lake and Forrest were amazing..
Stewart Stimson
Camped in spot 59 with my 31ft motorhome. They do not have full hookups, but do have electricity and several of the sites and they have water to fill your freshwater tank in at least four locations.
This was a peaceful campground that even at its peak during Memorial Day, did not feel overly crowded.
If you are towing a vehicle, and staying at the very last loop, unhooking the road at the opening of the park is more than a mile from the campground, so if it’s not busy with traffic, you can unhook in the middle of the road (if it can be done quickly).
Be aware before booking that this campground does allow dogs, with one important note, they are only allowed at very specific spots (site 059 is NOT a pet site). Please check your site type with ReserveAmerica.

So we went for a trip to the Poconos and thought we would be able to do some boating on a lake. We quickly found out that most lakes are private and you have to be part of the town on order to use the lake services. Then we found Tobyhanna and the boat rental place here. The people that operate this place are really nice and their equipment is nice as well. The park is well maintained with facilities and the lake is beautiful. Must visit!
Carita Brown
One of the best man made beaches in the Poconos, great for the whole family. There's a park for the little ones, you can picnic and there are grills if you want to grill out with the Family. Public restrooms and showers, newly renovated the area is great and just keeps getting better
Tracy Kratz
We visited the beach part of the lake. We had a great time but the grass area between the restrooms and the sand was a poop mine field.
Cliff Kellett
Lake trail is perfect for an hour hike. Level, canopy covered in the summer and plenty of.parki g
James Murtha
Great hiking trails. Beach and other picnic areas around the lake.
D K
Good weekend getaway for camping, trails and boating in lake. Personally found trails are nice to walk around and experience nature and this state park a good set of routes
Michael Kevin
The campground is nice, clean and well maintained… The only complain i have is that no one monitors the speed of the vehicles that is doing way more than the speed limit… not safe if you have kids…
Beth Reap
Camped here for the weekend last weekend. The bathrooms were clean and not too far from campsites. Multiple showers with separate area for changing your clothes. The Park staff was extremely friendly. We did have a bear encounter so please throw your garbage away or put it in your trunk along with all food and you will be fine. All in all amazing experience even with the bear :-)
Roja
Beautiful place and its well kept up.. nice place to come and relax when u need that alone time to get your mind together.

Michael Nguyen
Great facilities and nice area that's close to hiking and whitewater rafting
Kimberly Kurdes
We loved the cute, uncrowded, lake with great walking trails around it. With everything to do from swimming, to hiking, and grilling, I would love to come back and spend a day here again. Bathrooms are also very clean which is always nice.
JJ R.
Well kepted state park. Clean and lots to do like renting a kayak and or playing on the beach. Beautiful trail around the lake.
Jim Robinson
Clean and well maintained campground. Bathrooms were great and a beautiful lake. Will be back!
Nilesh Patel
park has nice facilities and was not crowded at all when i went there on a sunny Sunday afternoon in August. Camping and group camping facilities are also available and close to bathroom and showers.
Ben Banks
Had a fun time out on the lake in a paddle boat with my grandchildren and wife. Did some fishing. Later, went to the beach to swim around. Had a a great time!
thomas ryan
Fun little park I got to see bears
Michael Rice
Great park, most of the sites in the campground are big and shaded. Definitely am coming back later this summer and fall
Mark A. Bibbins
Lots of parking available, clean restrooms conviently located to the field, adjacent to a large beautiful lake.
Corrine Purdy
Secluded, no cell service which is amazing for a quiet family day, never too overly crowded.. this is our favorite park..you can camp, rent boats, fish and swim...
Miriam Diamant
I would highly recommend this spot for camping! We camped out here for two nights and had a lovely experience.
Crystal Lani
Snowshoeing around the lake was beautiful. I can't wait to go back!
Jim D
Beautiful scenic park! Water was so blue and the trees around the lake were in peak fall season...so colorful. Got to see a bald eagle flying over the water looking for fish. That was amazing! Wife and I walked the trail and went out on the end of the pier soaking in the sun. Met a very nice couple fishing on the pier. They gave us a good recommendation on local pizza parlor...it was fantastic! Had a wonderful afternoon! Highly recommend.
Frances Forms
I had a wonderful vacation with my family. My kids JULiAN and Lilly enjoyed trailing. We had fun going fishing😊 …
William Merritt
Good clean park, plenty of parking. A beach to go swimming, fishing is allowed and boat rentals.

Kim Bowman
Nice park! Stopped to walk the dogs and stretch the legs on trail beside lake.
poo
Probably the best place to go camping. I absolutely love to go camping here on vacation. Out of all 70+ camp sites I visited, this is probably the best one out there. The lake views are beautiful. It's a great place to go if your vacation in Mount Pocono or Tobyhanna. I love to go kayaking every time I go here and it's so fun. The mountains are beautiful. Sometimes it gets a bit crazy when there's moderate/ heavy snow. I would recommend going here. It's so cozy to camp. The lake and the forest is near you. It's a beautiful location to visit one day.
Krystal
Very clean, quiet lake. The water does have seaweed it is a lake. Bathrooms were clean, showers are available for a fee. Pets are allowed up to certain points. Enjoyed a nice peaceful day with the family. Parking wasn't difficult to find and close to the benches and water.
Jordany Vasquez
This place is amazing you got the beach, a camp site, playground and the view was just amazing.
Eugene G
Alot of things to do in this park: swimming, hiking, fishing, places to do a barbeque. What surprised me, if you want to take a shower after swimming, you have to pay for water...2 quarters for 2 minutes...
Oksana Sorochan
Beautiful nature, clean lake, friendly rangers.
Jeannette Vermette
October was the perfect time to visit!
Bobby Rybicki
Good place to fish or take a hike.
Manu
Nice park, you can walk around the lake 2-4 hours depending on your route. it's flat so its easy to walk through and you can have barbeques there. Also they have a campside
Blanca Morales
Great view! Quite place !!
Melody Hartley
Beautiful place to walk..lots of trails...tranquil...nice park...
Ricky Batista
Great park. Love riding my bike around the bike loop. About 6 miles around the park. Nice and easy grade. One of my favorites.
Jeremy Heyman
Lovely, serene state park in winter (shown here) as well as summer), in the gorgeous Poconos of Monroe County, PA.
kalman greenberg
Nice amenities, friendly staff, great hiking
Brian Wehner
Nice state park a couple miles off interstate. Located around a lake. Camping little expensive. Had a beach and boat rentals as well.
Thor Young
Campground is very nice, sites well spaced out and east access to lake and lake trail. Bathrooms appear recently renovated. Beach and boat rental are on the opposite side of the lake.
Beatriz Escudero-Perez
My go to place when I want to camp but have no time to properly plan it out. The trails are nice and connect to other parks in the area. Pick a spot by the lake!
Lisa Buzz
Very nice, pretty good fishing from the dam area!
Tommy Christianson
Really nice. Alot of people camping for the holiday weekend.
carlos flores
Beautiful place to take a nice walk and see all the beautiful scenery.
Jason H
Camped here for a few nights. If you made an online reservation, you can go directly to your campsite, as they put your tag on the post prior to your arrival - nice. Also, if you want firewood be sure to stop at the boathouse, which is outside the campground. Be prepared for odd hours and high prices. Large bundles are $20 and small ones are $10. You can easily burn $20 of wood per night. In terms of the park, it has some nice spots, although some are sloped - do your research carefully. Trails around are decent.
Min Lin
Quick walk on the trails, close to water, boat rental. Nice place to bring the kids, and there are places to grill
Darlene Wright-Burruss
Quick access to the man made beach, Very close public restrooms, kids play area, grass area in front of the sand but was littered with some sort of bird droppings but was usable. I didn't care for the water especially in comparison to other local state parks but the kids had a great time.
Nichole Mayers
This was my first time camping and I think this state park may have spoiled me... my family and friends and I secured spots along the lake. We were near the bathrooms that remained remarkably clean with showers. The Park Rangers were polite, helpful, and amazing. We've decided to make this an annual event!
Harendra Garg
We visited this place for camping in july month. this is perfect place for camping. It has facility of restroom, shower and adequate parking.
It is a very beautiful place for camping. This location has water activities like boating , fishing and trekking. You can see bears easily at this place.
It has beautiful lake where anyone can boat and swim. But this lake water was dirty and lot of traces and trees.
Someone must have to check weather before visiting place as it was very cold in Night.
Julian Blackridge
The campground is beautifully maintained, spots are fairly well screened from one another, and bonus points for allowing pets! The bathrooms/showers were spotless, too. I didn't go hiking or swimming this time, but I will definitely be back for more.
Jill Forman
I really liked it. I found the camp sites really clean as well as the bathroom/shower facilities. I also liked the amount of space and trees between campsites. There were a lot of trees between the sites so I didn't feel like the different groups were on top of each other. The office closes kind of early which I found a little challenging for check in but my friend helped out by getting our passes. Everyone was pretty friendly and relaxed there. The lake was nice but very red. We swam in it and my three kids had fun but there was a lot of algae all over us. Overall, a great few days there and a good state park to camp in.
Ingrid Finch
I love this park! Just standing near the lake and admiring the beautiful scenery, I felt so at peace.
Eric Bacon
Beautiful lake. Nice trails. Let's you bring your doggo for a walk.
Chonghun Daniel Song (송정훈)
Wonderful park for hiking...I liked.

Nice place clean bathroom and grounds. But the type of LOUDMOUTH inconsiderate a holes make it not a great place

Overall a nice experience. Campsites a bit small but we actually probably had one of the bigger ones. Horse flies were horrendous the last day we were there. We saw deer and bears. Plenty of hiking trails and the beach was refreshing ...it was so hot out. They offered boat rentals, wood for sale and Ice too. Very convenient...just make sure you have cash. The woman in the office would not let my sister change her site saying they were booked up for electric RV site through Monday which turned out to be false. The site my sister had left no room whatsoever after parking her RV. It was terrible. Guessing she just didn't want to be bothered. My sister was willing to pay whatever it was but still the woman was very curt and not friendly at all.
Matthew Nagurney
Love this place. Nice picnic areas and great path around the lake.

I have fished this lake for 17 years. It offers a decent variety of fish and some decent ones if you put the time in. It can be very busy with tourists in the Summer but dawn and dusk are perfect times to be on the water and it's stocked with trout. They offer decent, clean restroom facilities, a decent walking trail, pavilion and camping which we haven't done there. The boat launch is ok but more difficult to launch longer boats from. Great kayak lake though.

This park is an asset to the area. Tobyhanna's gem. I'm sure anyone who has been there would agree. There are an almost unlimited amount of tables with charcoal fire grills, almost all of them shaded. Some are single tables and some are grouped together for very large groups, 20 - 50? And there are covered pavilions for large groups. Usually you need to reserve them and there may be a fee - I don't know. There are boat ramps and boat rentals. A swimming area with a sand beach and a grass lawn. The bath rooms have showers. They could be a little cleaner, but considering the number of people that use them they're not bad. If you don't want to sit, swim, or play any number of lawn games, you can hike the trails or fish. The one that goes around the lake is about 5 miles and isn't too difficult. Fishing requires you have a permit. You'll have to look that up for yourself.
Of course if you're a camper there are camp sites that look very inviting and a bath house too. I haven't used the camping facilities but I have seen everything from big mobile campers to small tents there.
Be prepared for nature, there is plenty of it all around you, all beautiful and some scary. I saw a very large black bear once. He wasn't in the camp area but I will admit it made me a little nervous. It wouldn't hurt to be prepared for your surroundings.
Jay Johnson
Just lovely, quiet clean and so close to home nice family Environment, great swimming area.
Scott Singley
Our Scout troop camped the weekend here. The campsite was clean and well-maintained. I really liked the firepit setup. We spent our time riding the trails and fishing in the lake. I was disappointed to see that other visitors do not respect the land or lake. There was litter around the lake and in the water. The staff at Tobyhanna do their best to keep the place sparkling. I also liked the critter proof trash containers. In all - we had a really fun time here. Plenty of trails to hike, boats and fishing.

Nice, but no water at site...
Would be a tenter's paradise.
Beautiful little lake to kayak.
John Fitzpatrick
Clean, well maintained. Showers are available but quarters are required.

My favorite spot! For anything, any day, anytime reality! Tobyhanna State Park...tgat IS NEPA!

Peaceful state park with beach lake kayaks picnic tables and grills,
Mike Navarra
Went there for a memorial service for a family member. Beautiful place.

Park is ok. The lake water was brownish. Did take a swim and water seemed fine. Had hot showers but hot water was unpredictable. Have a decent beach near the campground. Beware of bears raiding the campsite. We made the mistake of lighting a mosquito repellent candle. The smell attracted a large bear. The guy smelled around our camp table and after hearing our yelling left calmly. I had bear encounters before so was not ruffled with the experience but other members of our group were visibly shaken after the experience. It's one of those experiences which could have dangerous consequences but provide a thrilling narrative afterwards if you know what I mean.
Sheri Smith
Pros: Tobyhanna State Park is a beautiful, wooded park. There are lots of things to do; such as, hiking, swimming, boating, bike riding, photography, horseshoes, volleyball. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Clean restrooms. Cons: No water at campsites. I walked to a faucet and filled a gallon jug. When I got back to my RV and set the jug next to a store bought jug of water, I could see the state park's water was brownish in color! I had to dump it out. I had filled it at a faucet marked "drinking water". There were bugs everywhere inside and outside! I decided against sitting outside during my stay because the bugs were so bad. No cell service!
Thomas Rue
Clean, accessible, well maintained park.
Nathan Buck
We love this park. It has some of the only pet friendly, lake front tent spots. The rangers are friendly and helpful. The temperatures are almost 10 degrees lower because of the 2000' altitude. The bathrooms could uae a little maintenance (showers and sinks running), and the well went dry on a busy weekend day, but that is the first time in 15 years of going there.
Scott Siegal
Rented a Row boat with a small electric Troller. Did the trick. Very peaceful. Goes just fast enough to get you around the lake. They are very nice and very helpful. They let us take a cooler,Dog and a young child. Room for all. Prices very reasonable. 40.00 for the first hour and $20 each additional hour. 3 hours is plenty. Great day. They didn't make it difficult like a lot of places do. Example: leave a major deposit, or leave your driver's license. Nothing at all. JUST a Great experience. Thank you!!!
Edward Hill
This was a cool place to visit. Good fishing lots of wildlife.
ANTHONY ESSIEM
Very beautiful with so much to do. This is my third time here this month.
Benja Giu
Nice beach to spend a chill afternoon. The only recommendation would be that think twice when going on national holidays it might get a bit crowded.
M Knight3
Beach area is nice and small, not deep and it has the markers in the water so you stay safe. There is a picnic area and grass areas for relaxing along with a small playground with swings.
No smoking there
Tina
The park itself is very beautiful. Canoes and kayaks can be rented for the lake.
The campground itself is nice. The lots are smaller then the pictures on the reservation site appear to be, but there was still room for 2 tents and our van. Firewood can be purchased at the beach where they rent canoes. The bathrooms while clean needed some maintenance. There was one shower head in the women's restroom that leaked constantly and according to my husband one shower stall was out of order. There is only one sink to wash dishes so sometimes there was a wait. There is no way to adjust the water temperature on that sink as it is strictly on or off. If there is hot water you could be practically scalded or if the hot water tank is empty, you may not be able to feel your fingers by the end.
The weekend we went they were close to full capacity. Quiet hours are supposed to start at 9 pm. The is no enforcement of this as both nights there were loud noises and music until about midnight. There were camp hosts that we saw on our last day there, but I guess they are not responsible for enforcing or even reminding others of the rules. On arrival we learned that the state park is very close to an army depot. It was a surprise to be woken with reveille especially after late nights. If the park was closer to us I would definitely visit for the day. We will not be back for camping.
Mairelys Alfau
Beautiful park to go a relax with your family, swim, do cayak, bbq, etc.

The campsite is beautiful and clean. The bathrooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. Campsite 111 has a beautiful view of the lake. There was a giant black bear that came out of nowhere while we were sitting at the fireplace. It first appeared right in front of us at 10 pm and at 1 am me and my dad were sleeping in the tent and the bear stopped right in front of our tent and started sniffing. The bear was huge and was bigger than the benches. We decided to go home at 1 am but God protected from the bear and guided us by His plan. The campsite is very good but be careful of a giant black bear. God loves you 🙏❤️😃

Very nice park worth a few days visit

Greate hike around the lake. Careful the 🐻 …

Such a nice park to visit with nice trails and lil grills to cook on. Also a boat rental area. A great scenery for picture taking or a great first date. So bring your family and friends out for a great realx day.
Mia G.C.
Loved it! So so beautiful! The water and grounds were so nice and clean. So many people were enjoying the nice weather. Everyone was polite and respectful. I can't wait for the spring to rent a canoe with my girls!
Liz Mairs
Beautiful park and lake. Giving four stars as we were visited twice by a HUGE black bear while camping. When they say put food and bags in your car or the dumpster, do it. Your bag, your cooler, even a scrap of food. The bear came back as we had a tomato in our cooler! The bear is not scared of humans, so please take caution. Otherwise a great time!
G Aquino
Scenic state park with a lake. You can swim in the lake in the summer or do a 5-mile hike around the lake along well-marked walk paths.
There are at least two parking lots (no parking fees). Both are easily accessible from State Route 423.
One is by the lake spillway (coordinates 41.1991738, -75.4086720), which is very picturesque with the cascading water. This area would be an ideal spot to start the hike. The hike should last 1.5 to 2 hours for the average person. Spray some insect repellent before you start.
The other parking lot is near the beach (coordinates 41.2058765, -75.3995280), which is obviously where you'd want to park if you're planning to swim. The beach area is part of the hiking trail so you can easily start a hike before or after you take a dip. There are shower facilities near the beach. Swimming is at your own risk since there are no life guards around.
EVB
It's probably one of the best kept State Park that I been too
Harry Denno
We love to visit every time we go, fishing is great.
Frank Gifford
Great park for hikes and mountain bike rides around the lake. The just over 5 mile lake loop is mostly flat and well marked. There is also a nice beach and campground and picnic areas. Never had much luck fishing in the lake. Plenty of parking spots and public restrooms are available. Check the park website for winter activities. Pretty sure the campground is closed sometime in the fall for the winter season.
bob gerstner
Great campground, hiking and cycling.
John M. Kalinowski
Great State Park with trails, biking, boating and picnic areas
Linda May Luthcke
My pup and I love the hike around the lake . It's such a beautiful day ya seem to forget the simple pleasures of Life 🌻 good for your soul . …
Lalit Agrawal
Was there on a Saturday Afternoon. Has a boating and fishing Pier. Lot of trails going around the lake. A nice small beach that kids could enjoy. A small bridge overlooking the dam. Has few picnic areas with grills near the boat rental shop. Enough parking spots even on a busy Saturday.
Olga Restea
One more beautiful park of PA. There are places for camping, barbecue , tables. There is playground for kids, beach and spot where you can rent any kind of boat. Lake is huge, that water has strange red color, expect to see your skin durty, but you can find fish if you use your goggles. They have bathrooms near beach, but for shower you have to pay 50 c per 2 min. Make sure to have quarters with you.
Christopher Tobiasz
This is a fantastic park. You can swim in the lake, take a walk or bike ride on the trails or even go kayaking or boating. Restrooms are available although showers cost 50 cents. There are no lifeguards so please take the proper precautions.
robert martin
Nice hike along the lake and into the woods.
Tjeerd
Beautiful setting and with many separate sections. Fishing in the dam, kayak and boat rental, “hidden places” with benches viewing the lake, picnic and barbecue areas, and a small beach and swimming section. This lake has it all. No entrance fee and very clean.
VK S
Best fall views out there, but it was all raining when ve been. There's a lake for boating and fishing. Also this is an ample camp ground with lots of spots. Recommend a reservation. There's electric connection available to the RVs. Rest rooms and washer is available. Nearby town is for any supplies required.
Recommend visit during fall season. Check the local weather reports for appropriate gear and planning.
Henry Lam
Great place for ice fishing. Trout fishing in the spring is really good to. Brookies only something about the water won't hold rainbows. Nice little beach area, rest rooms are pretty clean. Lots of hiking trails. The people in the office are very helpful and friendly. Love this place.
James Clark
Beautiful lake. Nice boat launch area. Pleasant greeting at boat rental place. Clean restrooms. Just went to look at the park.
melinda muniz
Beautiful park and trail ❤️

Nicollette Cherelle
Beautiful experience
Melecia Morant
Beautiful and relaxing. People and dog friendly. Kayak shop was great and super friendly. Definitely a great place for a picnic or family bar b que and all close to the beach as you watch the little one play. Seems like a great place to fish too.
Nancy Kiscadden
Beautiful to see leaves changing already!
harshit pandya
Great place. The park is very clean and well maintained. Even the washroom are very clean. Has all the facilities. Boating area is very calm and clean and kayaks and canoe are available on rent. Great place for fishing. Has a nice volleyball court. Good for all times.
John Kostiak
Beautiful park with a lot of nice walking trails around the lake. Lots of picnic tables to stop and have lunch. I used to camp here as a kid. It always had nice facilities, though I haven't been camping in a while.
David Flynn
Ok, so I am a disabled senior citizen who spends most of my time camping and enjoying Pennsylvania state parks. I recently camped Tobyhanna. I certainly recommend it!
Not only were the sites layed out great, but the staff,I encountered were not only knowledgeable, but helpful beyond my expectations!
Pa. State parks are beautiful. And I was especially impressed with this one. There is a very large black bear population here,so,pay attention to cautions. They exist to protect you and the bears.istvery
John Grumbine
Very nice park, lake, hiking trail around the lake. Interesting history (though you wouldn't know it to visit) is that it's a man-made lake, for ice harvesting (prior to electrical refrigeration).
There are remnants of the ice harvesting days, such as railroad ties (between the spillway and parking lot) and concrete railroad ties in the stream (which exits the spillway). Bringing rail cars right to the ice house (which is gone) allowed easier loading, and the ice was subsequently taken by rail to NYC, which was the main market.
Michael Byrd
Beautiful place! Great trails!
Debra Kelly
Spent Fathers day here and this place is beautiful! Clean and very spacious. Bathrooms clean. Nice hikes and you can rent boats. We will definitely be back.
Leslie Obrien
Great relaxing Getaway
Samantha Sabel
Great place for the family! The lake features a walk out dock, multiple areas with benches on the shore, covered picnic area that is available for reservation, bait shop/ boat rental shack, boat launch, beach area with showers. The restroom areas are extremely well kept, and where chair/ handicapped accessible. The lake is beautiful whith some decent fishing. Whichever activity your family members enjoy, whether it be hiking, fishing, bbqing or swimming this location is for you!
Darren Burris
Easy access from highway with a great deal of parking and options for activities (hiking, boats for rents, and a beach with large bathrooms). We came for the level, wide, and gravel path that borders a side of the lake. An excellent easy hike with great views of the lake.
Rizwana Shaikh
Because this site is near the swamps it is very buggy. Also we could hear the traffic from our campsite (14). The utility sink to wash dishes is equiped with a faucet on a sensor and only dispenses cold water; it's tough to wash dishes like that. Otherwise the campground hosts are nice and the park ranger Ms. Linda is lovely. The trail around the lake is nice. Unfortunately we did not take advantage of the beach or the lake this trip. Perhaps next time.
Light 5hadow
Great piece of woods. Hiking, row and soft motor boating rentals, camping, fishing, and other fun things. Not private but not crowded either. One time, my wife and I rented a rowboat and had the whole lake to ourselves.
Ben
Park was nice. Big issue was check-in time and check-out are EXACTLY the same. There is no buffer if you're running behind packing up. Also, there are not many electrical sites that are well suited if you have a larger tent. They're most likely fine with an rv but scout out the sites before you reserve
B G
This place has a very clean and nicely equipped campground. The bathrooms include private showers and washers and dryers. Most of the campsites have grass instead of the typical gravel. We were pleasantly surprised by an icecream truck that came into the campsite area. Lastly, the swimming area is clean and big for PA but be prepared to pay to use the showers in that area.
eli hake
Just one of the endless treasures of NEPA. Especiall Autumn. The fall foliage is unmatched.
Ernesto Los Grande
What a beautiful peaceful place, let's keep it that way and not litter!. The 5 mile loop trail around the lake is a must do for day hikers. The lake is breathtaking and filled with wild life. The rangers are so passionate, one came over to my wife and I and showed us bald eagles matting with his binoculars and to see our national bird making a comeback from the dtd that nearly wiped them out was just such a great experience. It's a good lake to kayak and fish, please use barbless hooks as it's easier for a fish to get a gut hooked lure out, please of you can't get your lure out without hurting or killing the fish just leave it, they will take care of it, let them grow up to be trophies. This park is filled with stuff to do and great camp sites , let's make sure we carry our trash out, it don't take much effort , seeing litter is so horrible, you shouldn't see any here and let's keep it that way for future generations to come
Kyle Clark
This Park is absolutely amazing. Today was my first time their and I fell in love. The park has been kept in great condition and have boats to rent for the lake and food and snacks for sale near the park office. Tons of great trails to choose from. I hiked the Lakeside Trail about 5 miles loop around the lake with great views and pretty level trail I'd call it easy-to-moderate difficulty trail. There's plenty other stuff to do as well. I'll definitely be coming back to this place!
Tia Peake
Nice clean well taken care of! 👍🏾 …
Sarita Gongora
Gorgeous views and there are camping areas, you can bar b q and even fishing.
Mustafa Turkmen
This place was very quite and peaceful. There were harmless animals around the campsite. We even saw three bear cubs searching for food around the restrooms at night.
Michael Zdrojesky
very nice, was visiting with friends. the beach is very nice. unfortunately people don't clean up after there dog's. beach area is very nice. restrooms are clean
Racquel Clarke
Wonderful 5 mile loop around lake. Wide trail lots of space. Generally way more busy than other trails in area. Also boat rentals available.
Harry Huggins
It's a great campground, if you get the right site for your tents. Some of the areas are smaller or right on the road that winds around all the sites, but many are big, flat and well-shaded. Fairly quiet without nosy patrol cars.
Marco Morales
Great time great prices 👍 …
Kathool
Amazing stay at the campgrounds, kinda too close together but very nice. Was very noisy during the nights due to some people who don't know how to properly camp. But we had fun.
Joy Sowers
We stopped here off season after 4pm for a night. It was nice that we were able to check-in without an attendant. They use an honor system so you just leave payment in envelope at the office and just choose a spot based on the list they leave at the office. If you are staying more then one night, you would just check-in in the morning. They do have 1 washer and 1 dryer. Make sure you bring quarters. Only 2.50 for wash and 1.00 for 45 min of dry time. I wish we had more time to explore the park but this was just a stop over....will definitely stop here again if in the area.
Andrew Finkenbinder
Get in a kayak and explore. The park is located near more tourist-trap locations, but the benefit is that the park is accessible. If you're camping along the lake, beware: it can be windy. Hiking options are a little limited, but the trails that are there are well-maintained, perhaps too much so. They're essentially walking paths in the woods. That's what some people are looking for, others not so much.
Kelli
We were here in December a day or two after it snowed. The park was very quiet. We had it pretty much to ourselves. The lake was iced over and it was beautiful. I wouldn't mind going back in the summer to hike the wetlands area - that part looked like an interesting hike.
Catrina Mueller
Great hiking trails and amenities
Kathryn Berg
Beautiful scenery..quiet but does get very busy come the summer months
Ronald Bee
Great place to bring the family AND the family dog 🐾. There is great fishing, boating (there are rentals too) and there are areas for day trips with BBQs as well as camping. The park is well maintained and very clean - yes that includes the bathrooms too !! We had a great time there today !! …
Stephanie Armstrong
My favorite place to camp. But it has changed in the last year because of covid. Lots of non campers. More so people looking for a party spot for their group of friends.
donald dinegar
Its gets supper crowded especially in the summer time. It's always windy and much cooler than the rest of the world. The beach isnt bad for swimming and there is changing rooms with pay showers. Theres a nice easy trail to hike around the lake. Once it gets warm dont try to kayak, the paddles keep coming up with moss and grass, makes it almost impossible. Fishing is good once they stock it but it gets over fished within a week or two.
Lillie Evans
Beautiful place to walk around and clear your head
Joe Janikian
Beautiful Park in the Poconos. Great for campers, fishermen, boating and adventurers. The five mile hiking trail around Tobyhanna lake is a great way to experience nature and is fairly easy. We parked our class A RV in site #59 in late October and despite the 30 degree low at night stayed nice and warm connected tho their electric hookup.
Jahzeiah Smith
Love the beach areas, plus there’s paddle boating which was fun! The trails are great to walk since there are lots of resting areas, plus lots of camping areas there.
Alien Family
I stayed I the organized group camping area and enjoyed large campsites with separation from the cars. This area only has water pumps, pit toilets and picnic tables. We rented ten canoes from BSA Camp Minsi about ten miles away and towed them behind a truck.
Deryk MacLeod
Beautiful spot to walk or bike
Elijah Kuchler
Very nice place to hike, jog, walk, bike, etc. They have many trails to go around and the ones I hiked were great. Me and two others decided to hike and we decided to try this place out and boy was it a great idea. The trails were enjoyable, they had a lake, a park, A BEACH, and the blue trail (the one we went on) traveled all around their large lake. This way we didnt have to walk back. Very helpful! Tobyhanna State Park for the win!
Angelina Lim
Quick and easy trail along lake. Small beach, playground, picnic tables, and grills on one side of lake. Kayak, canoe, paddle boat, and motor boat rentals on the opposite side.
Rosie Grayburn
Lovely spot for lake swimming off the beach, not too busy and very clean amenities. Everyone very courteous and friendly. Will definitely come back! Great for kids!
Ruslana Ryvkina
Clean and well taken groung by the lake on a beach. One day visiting i did see dirt on the beach, when complained via email to park authorities it was fixed overnight. Kids had an enormous fun playing in sand and water (has kiddie shallow area). Weekends in end of July- August are very busy, but weekdays are just fine. Has a play ground near beach area for kids 3+. The restrooms operating, showers require the fees in 25cents currency.
If desired there is bbq area with grills near playground.
Sajan K Jayan
In Poconos you can see colors in Tobyhanna State Park
Vern Brunton
Great place to get away. Just be warned, if your tent camping the ground can be rocky. Trails are fun and some are very rocky making them challenging for those that might not be in the best of shape.
cynthia auchter
, osprey We always have a good time when we come to Tobyhanna State Park. Spent Memorial Day weekend here. Fishing was good. Seen an eagle, osprey and deer while fishing in the lake. Beautiful sights!
Sean M.
Amazing place to bring the family for the day or camp out for the weekend. We are having a great time. Everything you need is right in the park. Bathrooms, showers, washer and dryer. Chopped wood for the fire. Boat rentals, trails.. its great go check it out for yourself
Jason Thomas
Lots of pet-friendly, grassy sites, and plenty of shade at most of them. The campfire rings have metal grills you can flip over above your fire for cooking. Facilities are clean.
Lynne Katz
Love going there early in the morning during the week. It's quiet and serine. Also love dishing there
Lynne Katz
We camp there every year and love the peace & quiet the week we are there. The bathrooms are cleaned every day and we find lots of things to do.The weekends it gets noisy & some of the people that come don't know camping eloquent though.
Jeanette Logan
I had to get away. somewhere green! It was misting. I walked on a path. It was like a different place and time. I felt so free. so alive. Really nice place to walk in the green trees.
JOSEPHINE CRUZ
Absolutely love this park! Clean and so many different things to enjoy with your family. We especially love the beach. Tiny and intimate but clean and very friendly.
Zechariah Patterson
This park is an excellent spot to hike, cycle, boat, swim, and do other activities. The Lakeside Trail is a good challenge for cyclists to take on. My only complaint is the shower stall in the restrooms at the beach.
Uday Kolluri
Spacious sites. Clean facilities. Loved our time there. We were there for 2 nights during 4th of July weekend. Even with the campground being at capacity, the bathrooms and showers were clean and hot water worked great. Our site had a lot of gravel so be sure to carry a tarp and perhaps an aerobed (as we did) to avoid sleeping with your sleeping bag on gravel. There is a walmart not too far if you forget (as 2 members in our party did). The lake is beautiful. There is ice and firewood available for sale for reasonable prices. There is also peddle boats you can rent by the hour
Semyon Glukhoy
One of my favorite places to visit ever since moving to scranton from nyc. Very clean. Has a small playground, facilities, lake beach, boating. Mountain biked the 5 mile loop multiple times. Great place to camp.
Chuck Seese
A great place for a paddle!! The campsites are generally small. Friendly folks at the lake will gladly sell you firewood and ice.
Vadim Or
Great place for a walk with your dog.
Susan Pratt
Did the 5 mile lake loop hike. Suitable for all ages and skill levels. May be a little bumpy for strollers. Would recommend.
Rajakumar mani
Nice place for camping, trekking, cycling and to swim a while for whole day with a big food carnival for noon if pre prepared for so without alcoholic drinks. Can have games among the kids also.
Carl Aaron
Great park for wildlife viewing. Always see bald eagles fishing by the dam. Had a bear walk through our camp site last night. See them crossing roads etc.
Denis “To Many Projects” Bishop
Great clean park. Very slow although it is still may mostly fishermen staying at camp. Paved roads, lots of hiking trails, and close to the lake. If we are ever up that way again we will definitely be coming back.
Eugene Golubtsov
Good clean water, good sand. Parking is close. Showers are on quarter system, and after red water you need one. But it does not say it anywhere. Just bring change if you need to shower.
Kelly Deuel
I enjoy all of my states natural beauty!
Sherry Miller
Individuals at the park office are informative and friendly. The lake is beautiful. I enjoyed taking photographs of geese and their goslings.
diana nutter
Nice campground with boat launch for kayaks and canoes. Has a 5mile hiking loop around the lake.
Adam Bidegary
Went in the middle of the night for photography. It was during December and it was cold enough to walk out onto the lake ice. There is some light pollution but you can clearly see the stars.
Steve Smith
Very nice lake for kids to swim, big playground, areas to picnic and bbq, scenic trails and close parking.
devin bryant
Beautiful scenery, lots of fun in the summer...great place for swimming

Great trail, ok beach the kids had fun
Sam Lofland
There's a nice easy hiking loop and not many visitors. The beach is also pleasant but a few more trails would be welcome.
Katy Frey
Beach and picnic areas are tidy and clean. Bathrooms clean. Hot showers but you need to put in 2 quarters for 2 minutes. Good bird watching.
Mark McLaughlin
Great place about five miles from my house, I moor a canoe there. I don't really care about catching fish but, it's fun to try. Well run Park.

The only thing they have to try something for the grass growth
Gail Burns Schiller
Love the trails, water, and fishing. Always clean.
Bhanu Prasad
unbelievable place to plan group picnic, we had reserved pavilion and facilities were decent. The trail, beach by the lake is ideal place for games.
Jeff Smith
Lakeside trail is easy and pleasant. Nice little beach. We tried Ridge Trail and bugs were so bad we had to turn back.
Hector Oliveira
Exelent bathrooms.. good camping site size. I aways see some black bears around. IMPORTANT: it's COLD at night.
Ben Sherriff
The park itself is nice, with plenty of campsites near the lake. Not the most remote spot, we could hear the cars from the highway at night.
