First time visit and try on shooting. They will take you to overview and safety instructions. Various guns to select but limited only 2 per times. Inside also have instructors to teach every step by step for shooting techniques and safety. Perfect ears, eyes protection. Feel so good when shooting and smell of sulfur and some push back force from each guns. Def visit again for new types of guns.

As far as I am concerned this a premier Firearms experience. Everyone from the person at the front door, cashiers , sales , instructors and range officers are amazingly professional and just good people. Tom V is a great instructor. Had my 18 yr old daughter in for her first safety course. She absolutely loved it. It's my wife and I day date to go spot. Thank you guys for a great SAFE educational experience.

I am a relative novice and they have been great instructors at the range! All the instructors are so kind and eager to help! I can’t say nice enough things about them. I want to send my wife there for a ladies night training session. They emphasize safety and responsibility which is important of course. They have a large selection of rentals to use at the range, and the prices are reasonable.

This was our first time using a firearm of any type, but the excellent staff and Devin, our safety instructor, were amazing. Patient and friendly, Devin had us feeling comfortable and safe as we learned. Shooting was a lot of fun and we'll definitely be back to try different kinds of firearms! Took my son for a good experience. Had a great time!. Process was simple and safe. We an introductory with an instructor for a few mins who was excellent! We used 2 weapons, a Glock and an AR15... awesome time! Highly recommended!

I had the most amazing time of my life today! The staff was incredible, super friendly, super friendly and super helpful , Did I say that they were super friendly because they were. From the minute we walked in, the guy at the front desk was so pleasant to deal with, to the young lady behind the counter, to the young lady that trained us today. Went to the Randolph location. Tested a few Glocks, Baretta, and CZ… staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We felt very safe and staff is very professional and the place is expertly staffed. I highly recommend and am looking forward to coming back again!

I love this range, I just wish it was a little easier to get to. At some point, I may investigate getting a membership here, as you get a discount on their firearms, range time and other perks. The Range Officers are *on point* and prioritize of everyone safety above all. At times they may seem overzealous (e.g. adding/removing firearms from your bag must be done *explicitly* in your gun port, living little room for movement). Shelly (vest photographed, for reasons) is an awesome human being and the patches on the vest they had on were *chef kiss* the best thing I've ever seen. She was also super friendly :) The pricing on their firearms seems to be be okay/within sane ranges despite the times we're in. They have a fantastic selection of rifles behind their counter in the center of their store. They also seem to have a variety of things you can purchase, but given their floor space, layout, and the fact they have multiple floors, they could easily expand their inventory. Compared to some ranges in PA I've been to, their items out on the floor could easily be expanded. Also, I've never taken a class from them, but I've only heard positive things. What I enjoy about this range is that it is pretty clean. I did not realize when I went with my peers that it was the day before father's day. As a result, the range was pretty packed. The RSOs are *on top of things* here. :)

My husband, daughter and myself went to the range for the first time today . I had my own gun and my husband rented another. This was mine and my daughter first time ever shooting a gun. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and very knowledgeable! They took the time to explain to me everything I needed to know about my gun, from loading the clip to the best ways to hold it. They made me and my daughter feel extremely comfortable and confident firing the gun. They definitely made our experience “fun” instead of uneasy. I would definitely recommend. We plan on going back in the next couple weeks!

Booked a 2 hour 1 on 1 session with Rodrigo at the Randolph facility. Very informative and thorough in the classroom portion of the session. Was able to instantly spot and correct my technical flaws on the range (and I had plenty!) Very courteous, encouraging and supportive. Exactly what a new shooter needs to build confidence. Had me placing tight groups on target in no time. I will certainly be returning and look forward to taking more training in the future. The facilities were first class state of the art…… gun selection, A plethora to choose from. I took the beginners handgun class, it was well put together and presented by three instructors who truly cared about the information being provided and SAFETY seemed to be the top priority.. by the end of class I felt much more comfortable handling the firearms!!! I’m going back this weekend to have a bit more fun!!! I recommend this facility if you’re looking for firearm or if you want to learn how to handle one!!

I want to thank RSO Melissa and Jackie for their outstanding help today. During my time on the line today, I asked Melissa questions on my technique while trying to correct some issues I was having. The guidance she gave really helped with tightening my shot grouping and allowing me to hit center mass beyond my normal range. Also, part of the reason why I became a member today was due to the great help I received from Jackie. Her level of professionalism while handling some very "testy" people today was impressive. She was able to keep her calm, provide me with the information I needed between customers to help me make my decision. My overall experience at this location has been great and I wanted to highlight these two staff members. If you are looking for a range I strongly recommend you visit the Union location.

I just finished a 1 on 1 pistol course at this location. It would be tough for me to find anything to complain about since I had an outstanding experience. The place is clean and feels safe, the retail staff are friendly, and the instructor I was paired with (Brian) was an excellent teacher. He mentioned he was on SWAT in Newark and the way he was teaching me techniques, it really felt like an expert was imparting some wisdom. Much appreciated Brian! I'll be coming back for more since that Colt 45 was a little too much gun for me my first time, and I'd like to try some 9mm to get my basics more down pat and get those groupings tighter! Thanks guys!

This place is very professional and safe. I brought my 15 yr. old son there for the first time and with the instruction and excellent guidance of our instructor, I believe his name was Justin, (with the ear protection it’s a little hard to hear) he shot with precision and handled the weapon safely. We had a great time. I recommend to all. The experienced and inexperienced in shooting.

Beginner session today with a friend instructing. RTSP staff we interacted with inside and outside the range were very helpful, explained stuff like they don't need to already explain that same thing a thousand times a day. Easy rental, purchase of ammo and safety equipment. Quietly commented on safety concerns without sounding alarmed. Kept everyone at ease so they could focus and learn. Very happy with my first firearms range experience!

It was my 1st time at a shooting range and it was not what I expected. Believe me, I don't mean that in a bad way. Staff was monitoring us all all times. Instructions was simple and easy to follow. My sister and brother inlaw where visiting from out of town and my son and wife came along. It was our first time in the range and a matter a fact the first time ever shooting. The counter staff were quick to take care of us. They paired myself my son and wife with Joe who works inside the shooting range as a range safety officer. JOE was super patient and very attentive to us. He made sure we were taking all the correct steps to be safe and to enjoy ourselves. To be honest Joe was the cherry on top of a great time at RSTP. I signed up as a member that night as I had just purchased my first firearm at RSTP a few weeks prior. I'm so happy Joe was our first experience. Thanks for taking us under your wing. Top marks for everything. I did one FFL transfer and everything was quick and legal and accurate. Great job. I took a couple of CCW courses which were interesting and informative. No a**holes running the courses. Lots of good information. The CCW qualifying test was professional and interesting ( highly recommend this test / info ) - George was great ! I forgot my loader and he loaned me his. I took the holster class and learned so much I couldn't list it all! The instructor was ex FED LEO and had stories for every point he had to make; had us learning and laughing, I learned a bunch at the shoot. Everyone here is friendly and helpful. Yeah, I know - they want your business. But I've been a LOT of gun stores where they act like they are doing YOU a favor. These guys/women act like your neighbor who wants to bring you up to speed so you can join the group. Lots of pistols in stock. Ranges are FANTASTIC ! Safe, and after you realize you HAVE to follow ALL the rules, you'll have a great time. They really seem to care that you are safe and have a good shoot. BTW, if you don't know something, ASK !!! You'll get the right answer. Think I like this place ?

I’m a member of a couple of outdoor ranges and I have never really liked the dynamics of the indoor ranges, that being said, I was very surprised with RTSP and I joined as a member. The place is really full of nice people and all the employees are on point with a sincere smile on their faces. Looking forward to many sessions at the range! UPDATE after a few months as member. The good thing: The RSO’s are definitely the best that I’ve met in different ranges. Professional, friendly and helpful. The not so good thing: I joined this range for convenience since it is close from my house and it would allow me to practice more. I took a “Draw from Holster” class to be able to practice with my USPSA holsters and carry (appendix) holster. After taking the class I found out that I wasn’t allowed to use competition holster (hanger type), strike one… after a couple months of going to the range one day I was told that they don’t allow appendix holsters anymore, strike two… So, this place it is great for most casual shooters and beginners. If you are looking for a place to do a somewhat advance training look somewhere else, and when you find it let me know to go there too :)

Range Safety Officer Billy was very helpful t during my break-in of my Glock 19X which I used Out-of-the-Box & qualified RPO course at 92%!! Thanks to Lenny RPO instructor who maintained a relaxed training session which helped quell my nervousness. Billy gave great advice during my warm up range time. Thank you RTSP. A great place for anyone to shoot no matter the level of experience. The store and range are kept clean. The staff are professional. The safety range officers are helpful. Everyone there works as a team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Although, it is a tad difficult to bring a large group of people because of Covid-19, if you visit by yourself or with a small group, the wait time is decent. This location is very popular, has a modern design, and is a place to have fun in a safe manner.

My daughter and I went to RTSP today to celebrate our birthdays. Neither of us had ever fired a gun before. The entire experience from the greeting at the front door to the staff at the counter that got us the proper gun/ ammo/ protective gear, to our awesome instructor, Jessie. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly, there was nothing intimidating about being there at all. I highly recommend to everyone. Thanks RTSP and Jessie for a memorable experience. Great range with excellent staff. I had just picked up my firearm, a revolver, and took it to the range to try it out. Very clean range and we also got an instructor for 15 minutes to get us familiar with the new firearm as my wife was a bit nervous. They made us feel safe the entire time and really took the time to make us comfortable. Highly recommend this place and glad I have such an awesome range just 10 minutes away.

I almost hate to review this place. It's gonna get a lot of great reviews and then crowded for sure. But I guess that's what happens when you do, literally, everything right! This place (and the people) blew me away. Beautiful facility. I mean, in every way. Great displays. Big, open space. Well lit. Range has multiple light intensities - bright where you want, not so bright where you don't. ONE THING - not the easiest to see from the road. Look for the Wash Hounds sign - RTSP is the driveway immediately east of it The guys working there know their stuff. They don't have the "I know more than you" demeanor 99% of all gun store guys have. In fact, I had an Aussie expat (Zee, I think his name was) take me through the process and rules. All very simple. He was very thorough and knowledgeable about gun laws (as much as a reasonably sane person can be these days). The firearms. HUGE assortment of store guns you can rent for the range. This blew me away, too. Rifles, pistols, all calibers. Something that really impressed me was that one of them was a Smith Victory .22. But they have all the 'canons', too. The rentals in my pix have yellow tags. The pix are a small sample of what's available. There's a coffee shop, comfy places to sit, instructional video . . . it just goes on and on. Prices . . . kinda steep for the ammo if you're going to rent. But that's about par for the course. One really reasonable thing - if you do gun rental, you can switch out during your session at no extra charge. Rent a 9mm Glock, switch to something else after a while, etc. If you're a beginner or just curious about what guns and shooting are all about, this is the place for you! You're gonna have a great time and be in good hands.

My partner surprised me with a Valentines Date going shooting. We had a blast! It was both of our first time shooting and ALL of the staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. We purchased the Introduction Lesson for Beginners. Grizzly, our instructor, was extremely patient and took his time showing us how to properly handle the equipment. Literally every staff we interacted with was helpful and gave us tips and encouragement. By the time we left, we both felt comfortable with the equipment. We look forward to visiting again!

Took an intro one on one (paid additional fee to have a friend join me, so two on one really) pistol course with Reggie. The experience was absolutely top notch. Reggie was methodical and gave me good feedback on how to improve, and is a friendly guy. I have taken a couple intro NRA classes at other ranges, and in my opinion taking a one-on-one like this instead is well worth it. On a side note, Reggie (unlike some of my other instructors) kept any sort of politics absolutely out of the lesson, and the folks at the range are much more diverse in terms of gender and race than others, if that sort of thing matters to you. I appreciated it.

Really good range, professional and friendly instructor, for two people without any equipment, if you shoot 40 rounds with rifle and one hour range, price is 140, the good thing about this range is that they give you earpro and eye pro, so next time you go will save money. If you never shoot before, you should try this place, by the way, I live in queens, the price for ez pass is about 21 dollars.

I came here with my girlfriend who’s never shot before and she was extremely nervous. It was a little intimidating but the staff quickly greeted us and got us started with the wavier process so we could begin shooting. Only ever shooting one other time I elected to have an instructor, and it was the best decision I could have made. Mr. Luis Reece (I hope I’m spelling it right) not only put my girlfriend to ease both shooting the pistol and rifle he showed us both how to shoot( she shot better then me by 10x). Not only was mr Reece well informed on the guns and very helpful, he was also very very very funny and made it feel like we were regulars there. Not only do I recommend the location but without a doubt if your able to get me Reece you’ll walk out of there having had the time of your life.

My 2nd time at RTSP and so far so good. They have a gun selection for purchase as well as wide selection of handgun selections. The range seems to be pretty busy the two times I have been there but never had to wait. I also never run into any issues with any of the employees as I have read on here. So far as you follow the rules and regulations. I am still contemplating on signed up for their yearly membership after a few try’s. I’ll update you on my thoughts then. FYI you can not go to this range alone if you don’t have an FID, you’ll need someone to go with you. Once your FID is on file and have watched the video and signed a waiver you’ll not have to go through it again. Also for none gun owners who may wanna go for a date or fun, you must purchase the eye protection wear, and ear protection. If you have never shot before please do yourself and all of us a favor and take the 15 minute tutorial or take a class so you don’t misfire or anything.

UPDATE: been back a few times and have had excellent experiences! The range is top quality but there service will have me going elsewhere. We arrived on a Saturday at 4:45 and were told the wait would be an hour. Fine. 6:30 rolls around and we received a call that we would not be accommodated. After some push back on the call, we were told that if we showed up tomorrow at 10 and mentioned the situation, we would be put on a port immediately. Nope. Didn't happen. We've been waiting half an hour and still have not been given an update. No apologies, no comp/credit, no nothing. Go to other ranges in the area. They may not be as fancy, but at least they are eager to earn your business.

You can go different places to fire a gun in NJ. What sets RTSP apart from the others is the knowledge and professionalism of the staff. I visited the Union location this past Saturday night with my wife (I had been to the Randolph location before, also amazing). A range officer names “Chief Mike” was the guy who stuck out. I recently put a new scope on my rifle and was having a difficult time sighting it in. Mike came over and got it right on target. He and the other range officers were very friendly and really made the experience fun and safe for my wife and myself. Like I said, you can shoot at a lot of ranges in NJ… but I don’t know why people would go anywhere other than RTSP.

We went as a couple to enjoy the day and have a friendly competition. The range was huge, which on the plus side there was little waiting time to get our shooting on. On the downside it was too many people in the range & was very loud due to the amount of shot guns. Due to the size of the range it required there to be too many employees which kept blocking our view of each other while trying to film. My husband and I have visited other shooting ranges that were a bit more private and not as loud and as many interruptions. At one point one of the guards was sharing with other guards a bad experience she had with a customer that just left and was creating a bit of drama that was unnecessary, not caring about the experience of the customers still trying to enjoy the time there. There was a lack of training on how to use the weapons and etiquette, which is why the guard has a bad experience with a customer. Although we were a bit disappointed at the lack of professionalism, we did enjoy ourselves.

Read about this range on Google and reviews were great as well as the photos. I took my daughter there today and I will say I will be coming back, and my daughter says this is her favorite range. The staff was friendly and professional, when we got into the range area there were range safety officers clearly identified. They kept the range clean of brass and trash. And also they were helpful and friendly and made sure everyone was safe while enjoying the range. No one was on top of each other and the ventilation was outstanding. If you want a good time and safe a clean environment while on the range I encourage you to calm here.

Facility was impeccably clean, check in was seamless and every single staff member was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly & professional. Our instructor Alex was amazing! Went out of his way to make sure we had every second of our time and went above & beyond in his instruction. Was wonderful with my sister whose 1st time it was and although she was afraid, now she wants to go once a month. Great laughs also!! Highly recommend!

I purchased my first firearm. I had it about 7 months before I decided to actually learn how to use it. I went to RTSP because I had gone to Freight Tools in the past and noticed that RTSP was next door. I started the process online. It was very easy. When I got there it was a short wait. When it was my turn the staff was amazing. They answered all my questions, that kinda put my mind at ease. My safety officer was Devin. I can't say enough about how helpful he was. He was patient. He was knowledgeable of the firearm. He offered helpful suggestions to improve my grip. Most importantly he instructed me as to how to safely use and store my firearm. Devin make my first experience at the range a good one. Because of his engagement and commitment to to his profession I know how to be a safe and responsible gun owner.

I went to the range first time Last Wednesday to test my newly purchased Glock 17. Once in, I bought a box of 124 grain 9mm luger from the shop and went inside the shooting range. Chris was very helpful. I got few jams in the first few magazines. Chris helped me take apart the gun and cleaned and oiled the brand new gun. I still had couple of jams. He said this might be caused by the 124 grain catridges for new guns during its break-in. After a box of 50 rounds, then the gun had no more jams, I was very happy and appreciated Chris help and patience.

My first visit to one of New Jersey’s newest gun range. A modern facility that is nice and clean. A lot of training classes offered. They have coffee too. I knocked off a star because it is a little pricey $$$. For 30 minutes and one target it cost me $19.00. It’s worth it. I’m going to consider the membership. What really stood out most was the overall service and assistance by all the team members from the time I walked in the door. Staff were pleasant and pointed me in the right direction. While firing my glock (10,000+ rounds) on the range I had a malfunction that required an armor to repair. It was safely repaired and back up within ten minutes. Thank you RTSP. Enjoy!

They're ok for me because it's the closest range to my home. Keep in mind this business is mostly geared towards being more of a tourist attraction. You'll find many couples doing dates and total newbies renting here. RSOs are mostly cops, some ex-military. They're used to many newbies doing extremely unsafe things so they breathe down pretty much everybody there unless you prove yourself to be knowledgeable somehow. Please don't buy anything here and shop around because they inflate their prices. Buy ammo, targets, and even your weapons/accessories online if you're knowledgeable enough.

I am a member at RTSP Union and while I've had great experiences with both the sales team and range staff, I couldn't be more disappointed with the gunsmith. I purchased a handgun over two months ago and am still waiting for the magazines to be pinned. In addition, I went there this Saturday to have some work done on my shotgun (he wasn't accepting new jobs the last time I went) and waited nearly two and half hours for the gunsmith to show up. He was supposed to be in at 9am and still wasn't there when I finally left at 11:20am. The sales staff did their best as they could tell I was getting frustrated but it seems he comes and goes whenever he wants. It's very frustrating that I belong to a range and will now be going elsewhere for any gunsmith work. 9/22 Update: Brad, thank you for your quick response. I now have the magazines and my shotgun is being worked on.

Very large facility, plenty of help if needed in the range. Nice gun store and supplies you can buy/rent. Waited (what was supposed to be 1.5hrs) but got in to shoot in just over an hour on a busy sunday. But unlike other ranges where you wait there you can leave and they call your cell for your turn. So you can get food or do something local while you wait. Only downside I don’t care for (like most other indoor ranges), is you only get one hour increments and one hour goes very fast when you bring somebody with you. It would be great if you could get an hour and a half instead. And other then that the only actual complaint is the facility is very clean but the bathroom had ripped up paper towels all over the ground in the bathroom so it looked like a total mess. Other then that, great place! Definitely will go back (but probably during the week so it’s less crowded)

Tl; DR This range is nice, just not beginner friendly. I and my friend went to this range today. The check-in experience is very good. The staff provide good advices and we rent an AR-15 and a glock-17. We ordered a first-time instruction and first safe-guard is very helpful on showing us how to use the weapon. As a first-timer, we make mistakes, e.g., put the AR-15 again chest instead of shoulder. The first safe-guard is very nice to help us and show us the correct position. But the good end here. For some reason, my AR-15 get stuck after first round. A second safe-guard's steps in and his attitude is that nice. I understand that the malfunction of the AR-15 is probably my fault, bad ammo load/bad position, etc., And I can understand when an experienced person sees a first-timer beginner like me, what is his feeling) I finished that round and try the next round, but the AR-15 get stuck again after that. That second safe guard shows again and ask us to leave directly, saying, I didn't put my finger out of the trigger when he steps behind me. So, in the end, I spend $215.42 for about 5 minutes in the range, with 10 rounds of hand-gun and about 5 rounds of AR-15. (BTW, the second safe guard promised to refund for the unopened AR-15 bullet, but I didn't see that happens) I didn't think I'm a dangerous person, in fact, this is my first time to give a less than 4 stat review. In the whole process, the second safe-guard never asked me to ceasefire and my gun is pointing to the target all the time. The only real faults I did was to put my finger near that trigger (my finger is not on it, just on straight as he said) when he is behind me twice. And the first time, he didn't explain that I can't put my finger when he is nearby, I thought that was just the correct position when not in fire. The second time, he said I can't put my finger near the trigger and called us out. I asked could you give us 1 more chance, but he says no and he has the right to ask us to leave because he is the safe guard. Anyway, you have the right to ask us to leave. And I think I have the right to give 1 start feedback. Updates: After thinking of the experience last night, given the good environment and other kindly staffs, I change to 4 starts,

The range and store are new, modern and staffed by friendly people who answer any question. Safety seems to be the main priority, which is very reassuring. My only complaint is the wait time for a range port. It was a Saturday morning, granted, but I had my own gear and wish there was some kind of express line for people who aren't renting or have been there before. I think the $400 annual membership fee is crazy, by the way.

My friends and I went yesterday to practice the guns we have so the price was not expensive. We had our own firearms and ammo. Let me start off by saying that we felt SAFE enough to breath without wearing our masks inside the range since the air is filtered every 80 seconds. There were two trainers named Scott and Soloman who were very helpful and professional. Scott was nice enough to show me the correct way to shoot a shotgun which I feared before. They constantly kept sweeping the shell casings off the floors so the place was kept clean. Overall, our experience was a great one and we highly recommend visiting this range for practice. One of the best ranges in New Jersey! This is one of the newer locations, and I have no problem traveling all the way from Staten Island just to come here. Employees are very kind, and thorough when explaining firearms. This place is always clean, and organized. The lines move fairly quick depending on what day you come. They also have a huge range of firearms that you can rent, and their prices are reasonable. What makes me only go to RTSP locations is that their instructors are armed. This makes me feel safe, where as other ranges don't have armed instructors. They are very knowledgeable, and have no problems answering any questions you have. Highly recommend!

Although all the staff, prior to entering, are very polite & knowledgeable, it takes about 20-30 min of verifying ID, watching a video on your IPhone & filling out endless paperwork before you’re allowed to enter the range. This experience was to be enjoyable but it was anything but! The older Security Officer kept screaming at everything; he needs to say things calmly or get another job. AMAZING PLACE EVEN IF YOU NEVER HAVE BEEN TO A GUN RANGE BEFORE. Great parking, the location is great as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I was there this Sunday with 4 of my friends, which 3 of them that have never been to a range before, me and another friend that have a few guns and been shooting for a while now. We arrive early just before at 10 am and the line was not that bad we waited 5 minutes and we started the registration process for my friends. Daniel was super helpful and friendly, he got us set up with two lanes next to each other, he was very patient with us splitting the bill. The place is amazing the Range safety officers were very helpful and doing their Job. The range has 25 and 50 yard lanes with state of the art target system with touch pads and timers that tell you how much longer you have. Also a really good cafeteria and they also sell all the stuff you need including guns and accessories. If you never been to a range this place is a must they rent all sorts of rifles, handguns and shotguns, they have all the safety equipment, targets and ammo. You don't need to own a weapon or have a permit either, they will walk you through the process and also provide you with all the necessary help needed and classes for first time shooters . Very well done RTPS you just got 5 new customers that will be returning.

This was my first time shooting after I purchased my handgun in January. I originally purchased my handgun at Randolph, but due to beginner classes being so full, I ended up at the Union location with a one on one session with Chucky. That turned out to be a good move! I have to say, though, that both location staff were extremely professional and patient with a beginner like me. At Randolph, I was able to "try on" several handguns before settling on a Smith & Wesson M&P9 2.0. It fit better for me and I liked the sighting and safety features. While at my 1 on 1, at Union, Chucky explained the features and procedures I needed to know as well how to handle and shoot the firearm on the range. It was a great beginner experience and I'll definitely return with my wife and son (probably to either location). If you're a beginner, take a class, it's worth it.

Went there this past weekend to celebrate a birthday. This place was super professional and accommodating to train new gun users! I had to wait about 20 or 30 minutes in line, but once we got out in the range we were properly trained and we felt prepared to have some fun! Highly recommended if you're curious.

Let me first start my saying Whoa. I have never been so impressed with a gun shop on my days. I called inquiring about a specific part that was hard to find, and they had them. Not only did they speak to me, they took time to get answers for me. You know, in this current climate, gun shops are extremely busy and don't have time to even answer the phone. Not only did the answer the phone, they answered all of my questions. Then I go down there, and they had the firearm I wanted in stock. Everyone was so patient and friendly. I've been to other gun shops recently and they barely even want you walking through the door. But this place was just so warming and welcoming. I was highly impressed with this shop, in fact, I practically thanked everyone I could come in contact with as I was walking out. This should be the standard for firearms shops.

Update- I have changed my rating & experience because The Randolph location was great. They corrected the situation and even apologized on Unions behalf for their mistakes. I am willing to take the drive to Randolph to have great customer service. They were able to laminate my husband's firearm id as well as help us with a case. Thank you RTSP of Randolph for understanding and taking care of our situation. We went in to purchase a specific gun and unfortunately both options weren't available so my husband asks to see 3 different guns and Patrick seemed to be annoyed at the fact he had to work. Once my husband decided on a Taurus G3 we went ahead with the purchase. In the meantime Patrick yelled over at another worker that we were the last customers to purchase and for them to shut it down and not take any more walk ins. While we waited i asked another worker (the manager) where their carrying cases were and he asked if we purchased a Taurus, we said yes and he says that it comes with a hard case. Fast forward to today when my husband goes to pick up the gun Patrick says it doesn't come with one. We expected to get a case and are now unprepared because they don't have any in stock. Also, they didn't have any ammo in stock. The customer service wasn't great at all. I called and they still were unable to help us out. We spent $ 1,000 between my husband and brother in law and they couldn't follow through with their word that we were going to receive a hard case with our purchase.

Billy, a sales rep, was incredibly informative and very low key. He explained the issues with finding quality shotguns in the age of Covid. Nevertheless, we purchased a shotgun and received a thorough checkout and instruction. The facility is top shelf, probably the nicest, best staffed range I have ever visited. If you're a Jersey resident and are at all close by, this is the place to shop for and train with firearms.

This is a clean and well operated store. If you can't be patient, it may affect your opinion as I read in the first review that I saw. RTSP is very busy and they have strict but reasonable rules re: Covid 19. Once you complete the registration process and proceed with your business, you will find the personnel knowledgeable and helpful. I purchased a firearm yesterday and later on came back with my girls to use the range. I describe our experience as 5 STAR. I discussed an issue that I was having with my pistol to the Range Officer and he directed me to the Gunsmiths. The two gentleman dropped what they were doing to help me with my issue. Unfortunately, the pistol is headed back to CZ. So, I will be back to use the range even though I will pass by 4 or 5 that are closer. What more can you say.

Needed gunsmiths assistance with a new rifle that I wanted upgraded that was beyond my expertise to install. Cody (gunsmith) listened intently while I explained my need and what I wanted done (new trigger springs, muzzle brake, screws and pins, charging handle, and a trigger guard). He informed me of how long it would take to accomplish, and that he could manage all of the changes, and sure enough, he was good on his word. He was able to install all of the upgraded parts in a timely fashion and my rifle worked flawlessly the first time out (250+ rounds), without a single issue at all. I'm very pleased with the quality service, his attention to detail, his proactive communication (I forgot to give him one of the parts), and most importantly, the end result. The cost was reasonable for the amount of work that went into the effort. I would highly recommend Cody's work to others. Really well done!

I bought a membership, but still ended up waiting over an hour when I was told "15 minutes". not being accurate with the wait time can be discouraging.

Young women interested in self defense - listen up! I took the Intro to Handgun course with Jerry M. at the Randolph location and would highly recommend! Jerry began the course in the classroom, starting with a visual presentation. The time we spent just talking through the basics helped me identify a few techniques I could use to use to improve my accuracy. As a new firearms owner, Jerry made me feel super comfortable asking any type of question - from sighting, to range safety, to the mechanics of a cartridge, to the process of protecting myself in the event of a home invasion, and everything in between. Then it was time to hit the range. Jerry was ON IT! He was picking up on inaccuracies that I would otherwise have never known about. He was an encouraging and very clear communicator - his methods of instruction are straight forward, I never once felt confused or discouraged by his feedback. I left the range that day feeling more confident in my ability to defend myself than I did walking in. Thank you, RTSP, for providing young women a practical place to learn about self protection and gun safety.

Since the introduction my instructor Jesse was sooooo extremely patient,nice and very detailed explaining to me about how to load and unload the arms. He was very encouraging,he really made me feel I could do it,and I did,I could tell I did great for my first time, lol. I purchased a Ruger PC Carbine 9mm rifle about two weeks ago and a Henry lever action .22 rifle two days ago. My wife and I wanted to get back into target shooting so we finally went to RTSP. I read a lot of the reviews prior to going and wasn't sure what kind of experience it would be. I haven't shot at a range since Ray's Sport Shop was around. This place is beautiful and very professional. All the rangers are super friendly but practice saftey to the highest quality. We had a ranger named "LUCKY", and boy were we lucky to have him show us the proper techniques and safety precautions. I went there forthe first time on 2/13/20 with my son. My son has been there before with his grandfather and raved about RTSP to me. Walking in the door I see everything is modern, clean and stylish with a friendly greeting from a staff member. I research everything and found RTSP is very different from all the other indoor facilities. Walk ins are welcomed. No membership required if you don't want. All the other indoor ranges make you join, pay initiation fees on top of membership fees, take shooting tests or require work from you. That’s not for me. But if you do want to join RTSP they have 4 or 5 different levels of memberships to fit your needs. The range itself is also modern and clean with digital pads to send your targets out to your desired distance. Very friendly range staff also. "Every shooter is a range officer in there." I like that. I felt very safe and comfortable in there. Yes I will go back and the monthly membership would fit my needs very well. Good luck RTSP! Larry

I come to this range all the time because it’s right down the street from me. The staff is great. It seems a lot of these reviews complain about the range officers but they have been very friendly and helpful in my experience. It’s a very nice range but the booths are very small. I flinch every time I fire because the shells bounce off the walls and hit me in the face half the time. It’s a huge downside to this range. The other huge downside is their firearms are way overpriced. They were selling the new Troy “other firearms” in 9mm for $1375. Luckily I was able to get the same gun at Luciano’s in Lodi for $1100. Come here for the range, but definitely shop elsewhere to buy anything.

Great place. Let's start out by saying this place is everything you want from a gun range. 9 million invested and it shows. 3 different range set up two 25 yards and one for long guns and rifles. Great amount of weapons for rent and to buy. I personal would like to see a better volume, but they have only been one for 4 months so let's give them time. Small cafe inside , training rooms, clothing, gear, bags, cleaning supplies ect. Great for LEO and military of course theres discounts which I appreciate because some ranges only give to military. All the instructors were friendly and very knowledgeable. I went during a Monday around 2, so no one was really there maybe 10 so I was able to get in an out. I can definitely see this place being super busy on the weekends. I took some photos to add cause online they are lacking a few. I've been shooting since I was 10 and i can say this was a great place.

This is no Randolph. Is it clean and nice visually? Yes. The range instructors are mostly helpful. The biggest downfall is that they definitely went for the airplane seat mentality. Let’s cram as many ports in as possible next to each other. It is extremely tight! Being 6’1” 210 I feel like an airplane bathroom is an auditorium compared to the port. To minimize space, the “bench” is less than a foot deep, good luck placing your range bag on it. If it wasn’t the closest range I would look elsewhere. I left disappointed. Oh and why the see through walls??? I’m focusing on my groupings with the blasts of gunfire already, I don’t want to see the people next to me too

Very professional experience, guns worked the instructors were nice not condescending or yelling at you. Very good spot for a first timer.
