Reviews of Parvin State Park
Brandon Reese
Spent our anniversary weekend here and it was nice. We ran out of firewood and were able to purchase some from the welcome center. For NJ residents, the campsites are extremely cheap. The grounds were clean and there are good hiking trails all around. Great weekend getaway!

I hadn't been to Parvin since I was a teenager with the scouts. I'm now 45 with my own teenagers and we were looking for somewhere new for some camping and fishing. Parvin was everything we wanted. Nice campground, good fishing in the lakes and not too far from home in Philly. We got a nice mix of fish...bass, sunnies, bluegills, perch and pumpkinseeds. Would definitely go back here and will keep it in mind for future trips.
Sarah Wingate
Parvin is very nice. Cabins are closeby so if you are renting cabins look into getting the ones together. Water levels are alittle low, so recommend going to boat landing.

Nice place to go kayaking or walk. Some trails can get narrow so you just have to be mindful of others on busy days. Also make sure you check for ticks when home, I found several on my dog.
Nabil Ou
Nice place to camp, restroom a little bit rusty, I prefer kudorus much cleaner, water with a lot Fe++,, other than great for walking, riding bicycle, running, kayaking and swimming!
Jamie Korpuze
First time ever camping we came here beautiful park and lake. Our camping neighbors were so nice helped us out and introduced themselves and talked with us a little the prices are great we will definitely be back.
Beatriz Lopez
Went kayaking with the family. Very spacious lake. Clean as can be. Nice little walking trails as well.
Gina Martinelli
We did the green-marked trail and it was an easy and beautiful walk around the lake and through the woods on a lovely Autumn day. We brought our 2 year old and she was able to walk much of the trail. A really nice time only a half hour from the Philadelphia area!
Kristina Elissa Bergman (Hidden Pond Farm)
Awesome little nugget in the South Jersey area. Quiet and safe to walk for families, solitary or with animals. Great photography shots.
Pauly Digital
Nice over all with relaxing views. Plenty of drinking water taps, and bathroom area was clean. Cardinals and blue Jays every where which was also fun.
Rick Rivera
It's one of the most beautiful places to go and walk around. Especially during warmer weather. You can fish, go canoeing or kayaking, walk the trails or go camping. There's also a beach that during summer you can BBQ on and there's also a concession stand at the beach. It's a great place to go all around.
Andrew Mosley
I love this park. Great hiking trails and good fishing. There's even a beach where you can swim in the summer.
Shawny Chantell
Went here with my boyfriend to see the campsites, cabins, and hike a trail. I loved it! I can't wait to go back again.
Goutham R
Shower rooms are closed and a lot of reef in water. Went on a week day and there aren’t many people. The park is good though.
Ana Lebron
This place is awesome, even to just go seat, and enjoy the view! It’s my favorite place to enjoy a morning coffee.
Frank Guenther
Nice campground with big sites. We were in the pet friendly area. It was spaced out enough that that was not a problem even without having a pet there. We had one dog stray into our site three times, which wasn’t the dogs fault. The bathroom was ok, no soap though. Overall, it was a good campground, not great.
Terri DePrince
Parvin State Park is a Great South Jersey Park 🏞️. A great place for camping- tents or cabins. Nice walking trails. A lake for swimming ,fishing and boating.
With Autumn on its way,Parvin State Park is an awesome place to get out and take some photos of the fall foilage and make it special..pack a picnic basket and ...Enjoy! …
Min
The green trail is not well marked in the camp area. Otherwise a nice walk. The blue trail is paved and so it is really easy, though long 3-4 miles if you take the entire loop.
on May 03,2020. The park is now limited open. I parked my car across the office and then took the green trail to the lake. Afterwards I took the blue trail. The entire loop back and forth the parking lot is 4.9 miles. The weather was nice and I saw maybe 10-15 groups of people, not a lot for a 2hr hike.
Jennifer Ng'andu
Beautiful state park with fairly calm trails that are well-marked. We did run in to some challenges with the red trail, which was fairly muddy, and partially closed. There were beautiful views and the path around the lake is between 4 and 5 miles. Very easy. Full of history that, for better or for worse includes the WPA, internment camps, and a place where German POWs were held.
Deb Mazz
I love this time of year walking the trails at Parvins
Tammy Wright
This is great spot to kayak. You do need a permit to use the boat ramp. The office doesn't open until 8am. So if you want to paddle earlier than that, you need to visit prior to your paddle day. It's only $60 to purchase an annual pass. That pass is good for more than just Parvins. If you show up at the ramp earlier then the office opens, I believe, you can pay after. Leave a note on your dashboard to let them know you will pay after. The NJ State Park Police Officer is very pleasant and doesn't talk down to you if you show up without paying. FYI - I thought self propelled watercraft were included in the free state park admission for the summer. That is not the case. The officer didn't talk down to me or make me feel like I was doing something wrong. Also, if you see the swans, be careful. They are not friendly and they are very protective of their young. Safe paddles!
A new add-on - we took a drive through the campground today. It is really nice. It's very active, so if you like a quiet campground, this might not be the place for you. There is a nice quiet site that we looked at. It's called the island site. We definitely put that on our list of cool campgrounds to book if we can.
Jeanette Lynn
From sunrise to sunset this is a great place to walk through trails, go fishing on or off the water, rent kayaks, or bring your own the boat ramp is nice. Rent a cabin go to the beach area to swim... We've been taking the kids here for 18 years and never gets old, we've seen Deer walking almost close enough to touch them, found owl pellets, always get to pet a friendly dog walking by, swans are beautiful, we've seen snakes, frogs/ toads, I have seen people find a couple deer sheds, you can enjoy anything and everything if you open your eyes!
Lily de la Torre
I recently went camping at Parvin and stayed in the Jagger loop. The bathrooms were clean. Shower water was nice and hot, but you have to keep your water running by pushing on the button repeatedly (maybe every ten seconds or so). There was a wash sink outside the bathroom and the campsite was large with a wide driveway. Just to note, the drinking water was fine but sometimes ran cloudy. The trails are mostly flat which encourages bikes and day walkers. It was convenient that all the sites have lantern hooks.
Breanna Jones
We live 5 minutes from the park, so we haven’t camped here yet but we come very regularly to enjoy the beach or to put the kayaks in! We love fishing in this lake as well. The entire park is so beautiful! If you can, definitely pick a trial and hike around the lake. It’s so peaceful!
Plus the sunsets over the lake are always breathtaking! Here’s a few pics from our many visits to Parvin!
Charlie Johnson
Great campground when we want to get back to nature without a long drive from within south Jersey. On a HOT weekend like we just went through, the lake is a huge bonus (and free while you're camping. The usual $2.00 per person is waived.) The usability and seclusion of the sites vary quite a bit, so scope them out in person before reserving if possible. The trails here are great for both hiking and biking and you can even bike the green trail to the beach! Also, they just renovated the bathhouse not long ago so it is quite nice and clean, at least by state park standards.
Andrew Janosko
Parvin State Park has been a wonderful place for me for the past 25 years. Fishing, canoeing, swimming. It's kinda dated, but as you can see it's absolutely gorgeous. Check out Ant's kayaks and canoes for rentals; prices were a bit steep but the service was good, and the lake was crystal clear. They had a little a refreshment shack there that covered the basics. Overall, a great family day. Have not done any camping there since it's only 30 minutes from where I grew up.
T Sobel
We had a great time, life guards were on point, grills available, security was very present, memorial day and not over crowded at all and people were very friendly.
The bathrooms however, a huge disappointment. My 3 boys had no soap in The bathroom , in the women's room also no soap and toilet paper everywhere including the sink and even tho there is a seperate wash area entirely the floor was still flooded.
I would come back due to all the positive things but I definitely will bring my own soap next time.
Ps. Animal lovers , let's are welcome from what we see.
Richelle Kropf
My husband and I drive semi with our fur baby Lucy. 🐕 So we investigate areas when our load is delayed. We had all day to waste time and we found this gem about 10 miles away from our stop. The different flowers and atmosphere we're wonderful! There was a place for us to pull our tractor (Bob tail only) off next to the trails and not far from the beach. We only walked the trails this time but we had a wonderful adventure! Next time we are going to investigate further about the kayak/canoe rental. Lucy had a blast! She enjoyed the many stops off of the trail to experience a little water play. The people are super nice too! Different camping areas off the trail. We met a guy on the trail that was calling for his 🐕...Lucy! I couldn't believe it! So funny. Even more funny was that he spoke with an Italian accent and said "Hey, look at the Lucies"! Haha! What a good time. Definitely making this a top favorite. Only dissatisfaction was the only potty had a pad lock on it. A girl has to pee once in a while🙄😄
Rodrigo Salazar
Really beautiful place, my wife and I really enjoyed the hike. The trails are easy to follow and have a variety to pick
Dave “1411”
My favorite park to go run at all year long. I like watching the seasons go by - autumn is the most colorful 🍂🍁 …
Donna Oktem
I walked for about 20 minutes along the Parvin Lake Trail. It was very easy to find and it is free and open to the public. I was really impressed with the width of the trail and how well-kept it appeared to be. It was pretty hot and humid outside but I was comfortable under the canopy of trees. I saw only one other couple and another small group so most of the time it was fairly quiet except for the cars that could be heard from the road. I am looking forward to exploring more trails with my grandsons.
Korrine Rudderow
We did a hike here which was beautiful! Beautiful scenery, nice trails but right at the end the last bridge was out! There was no warning or anything. Instead of turning around and hike back the few miles we just came from we walked on the main road and around the bridge. Not very safe when you have a dog with you. They should really put a sign or something warning people ahead of time. Park is beautiful though.
Michael Hogan
Sjlwt/parvin naturalist hike around the lake. We saw garter and northern water snakes, green frogs, 2 ospreys, pine warblers and heard a northern gray tree frog calling. Blueberrys, blue violets and pink tinged trailing arbutus in bloom. After hike we looked at the lakes macro invertebrates.
Loretta Yezuita
Very clean, the staff is nice. Great sites to puck from. Woods, nature, campfire, children laughing and playing and a terrific weather weekend!!!!
Estephania Loder
It was nice and beautiful. We planning on taking the kids to either camping or renting a cabin
Sammy K
Awesome park, lots of trails, birds. Stayed at state park cabin. Cabin has basic facilities. Not very well maintained but ok for a stay of few days.
Amit Badrayani
Super clean, no mosquito problem, nice even ground for camping, beautiful trails to walk around the lake. Highly recommended.
Jennifer Berry
Great place to see nature. Lots of trails to walk or bike. Catch gorgeous sunsets and some good fishing.
Karethra Bex
This is a huge state park with tent camping areas, cabins for large groups, plenty of trails, play ground areas, picnic tables, and lakes. Be prepared for bugs though! The bathrooms are ok. Per other reviews, the bathroom was strewn with trash, and stalls empty of toilet paper. There's lots of rust in the water, so the toilet bowls are reflective of that and red on the inner bowls. There's faucets labeled for drinking water near the camp sites, but the smell of the water deterred us from trying that source. We used bottled water while there.
Cassie Quiles
Grew up right down the road. Best lake to watch the sunset on!♥️
K Chappelle
The best local park to enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, biking, swimming, camping, etc. There is plenty of parking and it is dog friendly. The people you meet on the trails are great. There are plenty of benches to take rest breaks at. Just beware of the swans when on the water because they can be aggressive.
Debrah Scrivani
Went for a church picnic. The pavilion and bathrooms were clean. Went for a walk around the pond. Very well kept and scenic. Plan on going back with my horse.
Barb Kulp
My first visit to Parvin or as my family calls it “the cabins”, when I was 1 in 1959. I caught my first fish in thundergust lake at 5 yrs old. The cabins is my favorite place to vacation. I have traveled from Louisiana and now from Florida to be able to spend time at Parvin. I am now 64 and there has only missed a total of 10 years so in the 54 I have stayed there (even when the lake was full of mock) and never had a bad time.
Zach H
Camped here all Labor Day weekend at one of their 4-bed cabins. The cabin overall was fairly nice, had a great view of Lake Thundergust, and having bunks with mattresses, a stove, a fridge, and a shower were nice amenities.
The only problem was that there seemed to be a rodent infestation in our cabin. We kept our hotdog buns in the kitchen cabinets (without inspecting the cabinets themselves), only to find that mice had nibbled the buns and the shelves were filled with rodent droppings.
I would camp here again, but I'd be weary of rodents. I hope the fix the problem.
Loree Parker
We had a very good time. Nice campground, close to two lakes. We has decent fishing in Thundergust Lake. Would go back again.
Janelle Stadnick
On the week days the trails are just about empty. On the weekends the trails can become crowded but everyone I have encountered has been polite and nice! Such a great place to relax and enjoy some peace!
Beth Israels
Love camping here. Great lake , and bike trail.
This time the bathrooms were closed by us. Had to use ones in lake area
Over all great time
Skeeter Pierce
Beautiful place to go and just escape the mind we did the nature walk and was very pleased plenty of signage to keep you on track and 3 miles later we weren't disappointed 😊 …
Jennifer Rase
Came out today to pay alittle tribute to my Dad . He loved Parvin and he would have been 93 tomorrow
Lucia Muniz
A beautiful place for to take a long walk
Alexander Bowen
Parvins is a beautiful, but small state park, with a great deal of walking trails and beautiful lake views.
There is camping available, which usually books a year or so in advance and kayak launching and even rental.
Sam Neuber
nice campsites and good trails but if you camp you can’t bring trailers into the sites :(
Connor Kennedy
great for camping, hiking, and paddle boarding! close enough to Philly to justify the trip even during weeknights in the summer
Robert Tupper
Beautiful State Park. Nice beach, boating, fishing, picnic areas, cabins for overnight, hiking trails, etc. Very clean facilities.
Colleen Mivelaz
Family had a great time.
Kay DB
Lovely place. Have yet to do any hiking there, so can't say much about it.
Wayne McAllister
As always , my hometown favorite park is a nice breathe of fresh air sometimes just to get out hike, fish, camping relaxing. Just watch out for these little guys!
Sonia Aldea
Awesome time with awesome coworkers. We'll put together. Very cozy, very welcoming, staff was super awesome.
George Gaughan
Loved it had wings and a salad sweet and spicy wings were fabulous.will definitely go again soon .nice people and reasonable prices
Gabby Hickman
Had a wonderful time camping here with my friends! There’s a picnic table and a fire pit already there and the main office sells firewood for $3 a bag.
If you are coming here and you haven’t gone camping before/rarely go camping like I do, make sure you bring plenty of bug spray. I found some ticks while I was there, but that’s nature so we shouldn’t of expected anything less.
Doesn’t change the fact that I had a great time and would definitely return here to adventure on the hiking trails!
Chris
Multiple different trails to choose from, mostly looping around the lake in the center. Trails are well marked and an easy hike. Great to visit any time of the year
Araf Ahmed
It was a great place. We did kayaking with our friends and it was fun.
Marilyn Barratt
Beautiful place, nice walking trails, amazing views and wildlife!@
Daniel Teats
Beautiful park, came here in winter so I know nothing was open. Worth a trip or picnic !
I'm sure summers here are awesome!
Dan Newman
Really nice, also has a beach, cabins to rent, Jellystone is right around the corner.
Jay Carroll
Great local pizza spot. Good specials friendly staff. Really good food. Worth a stop.
David Bigley
We stayed at a cabin right on Parvin Lake. Any closer than this 50 ft setback and we would be wet. So peaceful so quiet birds singing and not one mosquito anywhere to be found! We were here last year for tent camping as well. That's why we came back this year.
Samuel VanCuren (Sam)
Beautiful little state park. There's 2 docks by the boating ramp parking and a little park. Very beautiful during fall, people were fishing, and hiking. Very nice for walks watching sunsets. I believe you can also camo there and use kayaks and canoes possibly boats also. I found it peaceful and nice and the size of the park makes it less overwhelming and gives you a chance to explore all of it.
April stevens
Beautiful place to go walking with the family. The kids love to play at the playgrounds.
Kimberly Van Leer
This is a wonderful park we went here more a few years back when we lived close by, they have a nice walking trail, my husband used to bring his fishing rod and cast a few for relaxation. They have a play area, meeting area the lake is very nice!
Linda Williams
Be careful of sections of red trail: extremely muddy. Otherwise easy to do blue trail, as it's asphalt. Other trails are off of blue trail and dirt, really nice. You can make it a short hike or join different trails for longer distances. Trails are marked.
I've only done 4-5 miles there.
Robert Romanishin
Walked the 3 mile trail around the lake, beautiful scenery.
Cody Amato
Beautiful but the trail is flooded on the west side of the lake.
Noah Halstead
Amazing place to go with the family. Tons of clean trails to walk.
Greg Taylor
Beautiful, picturesque park right in my town. Love it!
Charissa Cerrone
We had so much fun! If there wasn't construction going on I would've given it 5 starts! The bridge was out, and I was looking forward to taking the kids over to the bridge when we went on our walk but we couldn't go there.
You'd think they'd have all of that fixed before memorial day weekend, but it wasn't. They should've hired someone else. It could've been done before memorial day weekend.
On a better note...
We found a snake, caught fish, cooked and ate amazing food for our short trip. We rented 4 cabins in total. My mom has been wanting to go camping for years!
All her kids came and the grandkids! She loved it! Happy 70th mom! Surprise! I love you!
Kurt Williams (Kurt WIlliams)
Stayed in cabins on a lake. Nice, cleaner than most and close to water access.
henry curley
I loved the location was only 30-35 minutes from home. The swimming beach is shut down. Being in cabins as opposed to tent camping was different and nice in it's own way. Ours was rather sparse and uncomfortable and of course we had to clean it when we arrived and when we left. Wiped down every surface. It did have a small kitchen and was adequate. It's also nice to have your own bathroom. Beds, only 2 sets of bunks. Mattress pads, hard as rocks, recommend air mattresses.
Lots of flies, so we brought fly strips and that was good. Always wore flip flops inside. There are a couple of farm markets a few minutes away that have most of what you need, including fly strips, fire wood, fruits and vegetables.
We were there to get into nature, hiking, boating, swimming, nature walks, cooking over the open wood fires, explore the trails and what they offered. The wildlife excited our grandchildren. We hiked by the feeder stream for Lake Parvin and the grandchildren found their private swimming hole for refreshing crystal clear water.
We would recommend it, especially for those into what nature offers, but are done with tent camping. It was great since it rained cats and dogs all evening and night. We didn't have to go home and set up our tents to dry them. Even though it was 90s for highs, sleeping was okay. It cooled at night and the 2 fans we brought were great.
Back to tent camping again.
Have a blessed time.
M. Mellet
I like it cause there's not really busy in the summer time, I like the bike trails they are generally clear and well taken care. They need to put more porta potty, hard to find one when you really need it.
Nice place to go fishing canoeing or swimming, it had a little sandy area similar to a beach.
Mark Hyman
Reminds me of my childhood 65 years ago...cedar type lake..although it is man-made.
The superintendent was extremely nice to me...but was way overstaffed...with lifeguards tripping over each other...the swimming area should be expanded...to reduce over crowding
Wayne Sabota
Some nice walking trails, paved (assessible) or more natural thru the woods. Beach and swimming area, boat launch requires fee.
Jeffrey Lester
Nice quiet place to walk and hike with nice views of the lake
Dennis DeLucas
Beautiful place, can't wait to go back!!
Deborah Hrustich
Beautiful day. Great walk. Perfect for everyone from seniors to people with kids to runners. Nice trail. Not wet or soggy. About 3.4 miles. Highly recommended.
Robert Sheppard
Great place to hike.has campsites also and fishing
Daniel W. Farr
I've been visiting parvin state park for almost every summer of my 40+years. Weither it's fishing, camping, or hiking, I always find that much needed peace of mind.
Bob Keller
Used to camp here in my teens. Stl very nice state park
Susan Rogozinski
Even on a mostly cloudy night, you can still catch a pretty sky at sunset
Jim Chung
Really love this place. The only fly in the ointment was the rain.
Ramon Erazo
I haven't been camping in a long time but i really had a good time plus the fact that we are going back on the 24 til the 28 cause me and my girl want to spend quality time together you feel me....
Stanley Shaud
I been camping there since 1977 if you like camping it's the place to go never had a problem with other canpers. Now I take my 12 grandchildren and my 2 youngest boys. Great place
Ivan Domazet
Nice walking trails and peaceful lake for fishing a d kayaking
Dustin Tarditi
Good park, but it needs some tlc as it's showing its age in many places. Good fishing and paddle launches. Lots of hiking trails (avoid the north and western end of the red trail... is a swamp). Times are tough on the park services and the staff do a great job with what they have, but the state should invest some capital into this gem.
Richard Louis
Played golf at Running Deer. Course was is great shape. Excellent day
William Gilroy
A beautiful lake. Easy to find. Convenient parking. All of it rest on water only 5 feet deep. It was the best place to go kayaking for the first time. Thanks Ant!
Jen Blank
Great park however wish you allowed dogs with campers under a certin pound. We have a esa and he was needed. Other then that great clean park
Fabian San
went to this amazing place about like two times( idk if it was 2 times because i feel like i've been here a couple more times) but yesterday i went here with my parents and my brother since it was fathers day and me and my brother, and my dad went to the boats while my mom walked the dog around the lake and we went to idk where but we went to a river place and it took us about 2 hours but it was preetty fun. The first time i went here i went with my parents freinds and we walked around the lake and it was a long time but after we finished we went swiming which was cool i guess and i really want to go here this summer when school is over and it was a cool experience and you will to so i might go here sometime soon.:) :] five stars. (If i write bad sorry beacause im not american im mexican.
Kira Curry
Lovely campsite by the water. It was so peaceful, we felt safe + secure and had a great time.
Laura Lawser
My first trip there and I fell in love with the beauty and quietness
Ruth Nyce
Beautiful place to hike and walk the dogs😊 …
John M
Bring your fishing pole!
Nice trails, just watch the ticks, which should be obvious.
Easy walking with lots of nature. Snakes, turtles, unknown 🦴, and so many bluegills/sunfish that you could hear them slurping insects from the top of the smaller lake.
Definitely some large bass, as I saw a few by eye near the waterfall.
Had some old cabins that look....Well, rustic I guess? A few bigger log homes, which need some TLC, but nice than the cabins. Did not see inside. So who knows.
Camping area is nice with sites spread out enough for some privacy. Road is tight though. I could see those new to towing catch a tree of two with a bigger trailer.
Nice park, will return.
Carry in/Carry out. And to my surprise, not a single piece of garbage on our 1 mile loop around the smaller lake.
👍Way to go humans!
Stephanie Faris
Site 11 was nice can see the lake with tree view, open area to do yoga and lake view next spot over. It's beautiful here.
Very nice but fire ring again was not cleaned out and some small trash laying around. Which I always clean up my spot, leave it better than it was. Oh and bathrooms/showers have not been cleaned lately at all!!!!
Will I come again yes, will i bring lysol for the showers, yes.
I will call the park about above. I'm here to support all state parks. They are so beautiful!
Lou Pajdak
When we were at this park in August 2021 the beach was closed due to no lifeguards. The hiking trails were clean, camping areas were plentiful and clean. The lake had 12-20 boats and the boat launch was well kept.
Sam Drogo Jr
Its a great place to fish, kayak, or just to walk the trails. Its a nice place to go if you just want some peace and quiet with the surroundings to match. The state gets a thumbs up on this one, its a very well kept park.
Kruce topher
Absolutely beautiful views and trails.
Victoria Ruth
Love this park to take my hikes. Many different trails and options .
Brian Lux
Great place to spend the day or just a quick trip to have a romantic lunch. They are opening the beach at the end of June.
varun prasad
Pretty poorly managed for camping experience. It's a beautiful park though. The folks are all new after covid disruption and are still learning the ropes
Brucie526
Great park to take a walk. Has a nice picnic area with grills already there. Fishing and boating area. Even has a camping area with cabins to rent. Take the family for a day out or stay a weekend.
Olivia LaPiana
Pravin is beautiful the campsites are clean and it has newer bathrooms
Alex Aviles
Nice and calm spot to just relax and fish a little
Chopo Gigia
The park has renovations and it seems safer than before. The workers at the office were very helpful with all our needs and questions.
Constance Reeves
Love taking our dog to Parvins. The trails are well marked and easy walking
Alfred Wolf
Been going here for years. Love the park.
Nikki Love the yard sale-again
This is such a beautiful place and i have so many memories alreqdy and hope to have way more to come. They have 1 lake to walk around and 1 pond but even the pond is nice size and so beautiful and calming. They have cabins and campin on premises i believe seasonal tho... the lake walk about is so tranquil and really gives you time to connect to YOURSELF and our beautiful mother earth!!! At the end of the lake walk there is gazebos or was and a HUGE TREE! I always hug that tree... everytime i go. They also have canoe rentals and a beach for swimming and a party/picnicking area which is open for anyone to use at anytime. Truly a breathtaking experience and moments youll never forget and future generations will enjoy it. As long as they get off their phones lmfao🤣✌🏻❤🥰
Pam Oconnor
Afternoon visit to daughter's family & friends' campsite. The kids attended organized nature workshops w/crafts. Popular & not expensive state park campground. Great family fun.
Mel
I LOVE Parvin State Park! The variety of trails and ease of access with the maps makes every trip a pleasure. The parking lots are well maintained, and the paved circle trail is accessible to more rugged strollers and wheelchairs.
Camping in the cabins was a simple process, and very enjoyable in early autumn. The lake is beautiful for kayaking and canoeing, and the moonlight paddle series was especially lovely. I would recommend checking the water reports before swimming, however; but that is no fault of the park at all!
We plan to do our engagement photos here once the White Bridge is repaired.
Gina Mascio
This park is amazing!!! My kids rode their bikes and we took the dog. This park should have 5 stars! There is even cabins you can stay in....bring your boats and canoes. This park is awesome. Loved it. Will definately be back!
Karen Kreck
Great day kayaking!! Ant's canoe and kayak rentals were reasonably priced and very friendly!! Sign your waiver, put on your life vest, pay and hit the water!! You do have to pay $2.00 per person to the State Park to access the boat house. Not a big deal, but I didn't see that on any website or FB page. I didn't have cash with me, as many of us don't, but my friend did so crisis averted!!
Walking to the boat house we were treated to the amazing smells of grills sizzling chicken and burgers. Nice and chill vibe throughout the park!
joanne c
Cabins are very clean, they could use a little more padding in the beds, and maybe a small air conditioner, it was very hot and the cabins holds the humidity, other then that, is was great, I would go back in the early spring or fall.
Lisa Lozada
Nice park to hike with your kids/scouts and cool off by the lake afterwards. Also nice area to do a camping trip as well.
Nyree Noel
Swimming was great. Canoeing and kayaking was a wondering experience with awesome views. My only issue is it needs to be updated just a little, they need new pinic tables and grills. Many are broken. But you can bring chairs, blankets and your own grills. We had a blast and we will return!
Andrea Carver
Love it here but got lost a bit on trail they need better signs
Robin Buglio
It's still well kept park. Cabins and lean-too are in excellent shape. As a child my parents and grandparents would rent a cabin at Thanksgiving. We took our dogs AND cats with us to enjoy it. I'll post a Pic after I find my photo album of the bunks. Our cats and dogs are in that Pic. I have fond memories of there. I still rent a cabin now n then. Need to take my daughter to show her and take a nice hike. The trails are phenomenal as, well. I highly recommend this place 💞💞💞
Jen The End
I love this park. Because it puts nature first. The caps aren't as touched by humans as a lot of other campsites at other state parks. Very minimalist with the slight commodity of a wash facility. This was my first time camping and it was an amazing time with my family.
A. A. Armstrong
Parvin is a beautiful park to take a hike in. Really pretty in any season. There's a really cool trail that goes around the perimeter of the lake and it leads off to other trails as well you can get a decent hike in and it's nice and flat for those folks who don't want to be going up and down hills.
JohnPaul Agius
Great trail, lovely scenery.
Evan Brody
Nice park. Good walking trail around the lake. Visited in March, so didn't see summer recreation (other than some people kayaking and fishing). It looks like there are picnic tables and possibly campsites, as well as a lakefront beach for swimming.
Margarita Kuilan
Great picnic area close to the water; not over crowded. Love the boat rentals! Only negative was that there was a lot of moss in the water and it smelled! Other than that It’s a great place for a family getaway, reunion, or birthday party.
Tara Kron
Love the hike around the lake! About 3 miles, trails are marked & maintained, takes about an hour. Great views of lake especially in autumn it looks so beautiful!
Cathy Walker Garrity
Went to my grandsons football game they won 38 to 0 go Wally now went to graduation
Saffron
Family type beach. Perfect for a picnic or barbecue. The lake is small which is nice for children. There's lots of benches and barbecues grills. There's a little store that has snacks, ice and beach toys. The bathroom and showers are to be expected for a high traffic area. All in all, I love it there
Joseph P.
One of my favorite riding spots to stop at and walk around. All kinds of trails to walk and the camp ground is always friendly too. Never had luck fishing there but for me that's everywhere lol. A nice park and beach to come to for a day trip.
Kristina Tyler
This park is great! It has many paths to walk around, several playgrounds and if you wish to visit a small lakeside beach area. There are cabins and campsites, and plenty of areas to picnic. Parvin Park is a favorite day spot for my family and me.
Robert Smith
Great place to walk trails and camp. If you're into Geocaching, there are quite a few caches out there. Been going here every so often ever since I was a kid.
Ed Myers
Generally a great place. It's dog friendly and the main trails are well maintained. My only gripe is some of the less traveled trails for mountain bikes or hiking aren't maintained at all, some have been closed forever and some have fallen trees blocking trails for months.
Melissa Evans
Been going here my whole life. Wonderful trails to explore for all day biking or walking. The lake is great for canoeing or kayaking or swimming....or fishing! Would love to experience camping there. Lots of space to pitch a tent or haul in a camper.
Costa Garcia
We had a great family reunion here..it was a very beautiful place
Breah Banks
Went camping here with family in mid-September, and it was a great time to go. Took canoes and paddle boats on the water and there was a lot to explore, tons of wildlife to see and everyone on the water was very nice. There was someone employed by Jersey parks who held a micro-invertabrae exploration session that was very cool for all ages. (Most of) The campsites are large and well spaced out, some lead directly to the boating areas, others lead to picnic areas. IDEAL time, will definitely return. Be on the lookout for the state police, as he verified our non-alcoholic beer bottles one morning.
Angela Milano
Local state park. Love taking my kids and dog there to fish and hike and just be outside in general. The lake isn't my first choice for swimming and very small considering other local spots but I can see why people choose to go swimming there with the low admission fee, but that also means it gets pretty packed and again, the swimming area is small; however, always has enough lifeguards on duty. I do like the fact the local canoe/kayak rental place started renting right from Parvin now and they do follow proper procedures promptly. My family of 6 had to wait to get our rentals one day, which I had no mind doing, being it was due to a group of about 20 "kids" doing some illegal activities out on the lake, but the staff handled it immediately.
James Caldwell
Beautiful park and great place for all your outdoor fun they have a beach, great walking trails, plenty of fishing areas, cabins and tent campsites that you can rent, docks, and boat ramp, good for bass boats or kayaks. Great place to take your family and kids or even get some peace and quiet for yourself. Two thumbs way up for parvins state park!! I love this place and I will always continue to visit it with my kids and family. (Also a great place to play Pokemon go, or look for painted rocks)
A K
The place is cool to go to to get away from the norm...buuuut.....it has some work to do. The children's playground is at the back corner of the park and overgrown with vegetation. Grounds not really kept up to what I thought a state park should be. Maybe I'm expecting to much. The swim area is terribly small for all the people that come and the algae that grows there and comes into the swim area is just disgusting. Only 2 bucks per person and the kayak rental for 20bux an hour is great.
Joshua Dillard
It was nice walking here, lots of shade and long trails.the only thing is that the bridge on the green trail is closed at one part due to the construction on the bridge which is basically an connection spot to all the other trail. So you have to basically double back on most of the trails. The red trail was closed too due to storm damage. We didn't see that nite on the website. We went with kids age 6 and 3 and they were able to do the green trail with us
Alex F
Very nice lake. There is fishing, swimming, kayaking, and boating. The beach area is a little small along with the swimming area, but a pretty nice lake nonetheless. Costs $2 per person to get in and they have bathrooms and showers. Although I probably would not use the showers. Plenty of parking as well.
Melissa Murray
Great camp ground. Bathrooms were just renovated and fantastic. Trails are good for kids and an easy hike. Playground has beautiful views
Sarah Kelli
It's a decent park for walking and casual bike riding with wide paths and footbridges. Some areas are consistently soggy and muddy though, mostly by the swimming access. However, it's great for family canoeing and casual camping for the people who just want a taste of the outdoors.
Jullz Carroll
Gorgeous park: and fun runs!
Stephanie
Beautiful scenery. I haven't been there in 10 years. I took my daughter and husband there today to check it out for tent camping. Unfortunately, we will not be camping there. The bathroom facilities were absolutely appalling. It's such a shame. I do not remember it being like that.
We did have a nice walk on a short trail by the cabins. Beside a radio playing loud across the lake and the bathroom, it was a great time.
Thomas Wyatt
Great park. 3 mile green lake loop is well maintained, beautiful and perfect for kids or dogs. Make sure to pick up your poop and have a great time.
J C
Great place to visit, great place to camp to get away and enjoy the park . Nice trail to walk which is level and easy for those who have not really hiked before.
R D
It's a good place for a day trip, has good trails to hike and a beautiful lake, this place is not too far from Atlantic city. The from Atlantic city to here is scenic too. Spent a great few hours hiking around with a toddler. The camping ground seemed pretty good too, although we didn't camp. Will definitely visit again.
Victor Kidd (Victalius)
Love how the trail goes all the way around the lake
Kimberly “Kim” Finnie
Has inexpensive camping sites & log cabin rentals from March 1st to November 30. Park open year round. Can walk, bike, ride horses on trails. Fishing ramp, beach with swimming in summer(included in rental of camp sites/cabins) $2 per day (over 2 yrs old) per person or $50 for season beach pass with playgrounds, snack bar, canoe, & BBQ grills. Handicap accessible & group cabin available
Lawrence XtremCreamer
Parvin is a place that I will always visit. I think it is a gem in South Jersey. it is a safe place to walk/hike and the camp sites are well designed and their is an available wood source. The park staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Visit, enjoy, and respect mother nature.

Old Man in a Van
We camp here 2x per year. The cabins are awesome and the so is the price. I love to fish Thundergust lake! We usually rent a cabin with a fireplace. It has 2 bedrooms with 2 bunks each as well as a full kitchen and bathroom. If I never had to work Id spend most of my summer here. Can't wait to retire!
Sean Bailey
A great campground! Campsites were spacious, several trail options, the lake is beautiful, the bathhouse was newer and clean. All around a good experience.
marsha eden
I found this camp ground about 3 years ago. Love the trails, lake, the staff are all friendly. I think i found my new tradition. They only thing i wish would change is check in time earlier and no restrictions on days to rent cabins. Sometimes i only have time for two days or one but would still love to spend my time there. :)
Jacquelin Branks
The trails are pretty well maintained and easy to follow. I haven't camped here yet, but I have heard the services aren't the best. The beach area is lovely, but keep in mind it is $2 per person to get in. We come for the trails.
Kevin Laurick
They really cleaned up the park since we were last there. We didn't camp there this past week, just went back to check it out because it seemed very trashy last time, but they definitely improved. We will definitely go camping here again now.
Joan Davis
Only giving it 4 stars because we didn't get a chance to hike the trails today. Beautiful lake for fishing and small boat. Winter was rough on the trees so quite a few downed branches. Camp ground, boat launch. Boat shed and office remain closed for season, however bathrooms are open
Karl Chase
This is a great outdoor oasis in South Jersey. There is a lake with a beach, lots of hiking trails, picnic areas, a nice campground with some really neat tent sites, and they have several very rustic, but nice cabins on a small pond with kitchens and bathrooms. We've camped, stayed in the cabins, and just done day trips to the beach and trails.
Jerry Keller
First time here. My wife walked our dog around. My son & I fished some. Had a few bites. Need to bring our canoe next time. Clean & peaceful. Want to check out cabins & camping area.
Gregg Goss
This place has it all. Swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, canoeing. Beautiful Sandy Beach area specifically designated for swimming. There is a minimal charge to use the beach. There is a place to rent a canoe adjacent to the swimming area. There is also a small snack bar located at the beach and picnic tables with grills available. Campground is located on the opposite side of the lake. Not sure what the camping fees are but I imagine they are in line with the other state run campgrounds. Plenty of hiking trails to keep you busy also. Some great fishing too. As always, a fishing license is required. This place is beautiful year round, but camping and swimming are only available during the normal summer months. Parking across from the lake is free. This is your typical cedar water lake. If you are camping or hiking remember to bring your insect spray. Ticks are plentiful here.
Tisa Ridgeway
Wished it was open later then 6pm. Life guards are done and the beach closes and you have to leave.
Keith smith
We had a Church function there over the weekend nice State Park some things could use a little TLC, yet overall we had a very nice day will definitely do this again.
Gaming With Sisters
Great place for camping. Make sure to bring ur fishing gears it's a great place to catch fishes. Also things like boating, kayaking is great too
Josie Durkow
Beautiful weather, perfect for kayaking.
Michael Stein
This lovely Gem of a park deserves 5 stars for the care and love that goes into the maintenance and preservation of this historic State Park. The lack of State funding has been made up by a devoted Park appreciation committee which spends hours assisting the park superintendent and maintenance staff, creating a wonderful natural environment for visitors to enjoy camping swimming and a pristine environment. There is a Facebook page and a website. There are very small charges for camping and RV camping. Donations are appreciated and taken over the appreciation committee's website. There are also miles of walking hiking running and biking trails with plans to increase those in the near future. There are ample shower and rest facilities throughout the park done in a way to preserve the historic nature of this gem.
Catherine Vitale
Just stayed for 3 days. The bathroom near the group campsite was very clean. We rented one of the group sites and got lots of exercise carrying our gear to it but that is what being out in nature is all about. Exercise!!!. We had an awesome time and loved everything: the bugs in our tea, the dirty feet, the cold at night, the trees, the sound of the birds, the lake. It was an awesome experience...and I really mean it. I felt like a kid. Nothing taste as good as food cooked outside and we all were sad to leave. Cass
Cynthia Doughty
Beautiful 1st day of Spring!
Lauren Daniels
Very big park swings and playground little gazebo in the distance that views a lake and water fountain.
Port-a-potties for a bathroom and i have metro phone service and i dont get service at that park at all only down side other than that great park for the family. Plenty of Picnic tables
Gina Vazquez
Great park .
Exept the swimming area, it looks disgusting.
I love the showers , you have privacy and the water presure is strong and super cold. For the swimming area you only pay $2.
They have grills and tables .
Make sure you bring a trash bag .
Amanda Morales
Cheap to put the kayaks (any boats) in the water. A quiet, nice area with great scenery. Lost my glasses in the water, life guards were nice and tried to help me to no avail LOL they serve amazing hot dogs and good cheese fries. Prices aren't bad at all! Main bathrooms need to be redone, they're old, dirty and barely any lighting, but poor funding is understandable. I think we should hold a fundraiser to get it back up to standards. Its a beautiful place that just needs some extra TLC!
Iheart Dogs
Nice state park. Camping, hiking, fishing, swimming; these are some of the fun things to do. A great getaway for a visit with nature. Attendance is free, unless you want to swim in the lake.
Raven Bird
We walk the trails. Yesterday we saw three deer, birds, beautiful Oak trees and a wonderful trail. Met some friendly hikers. A nice place to experience nature.
Bruce Hemmer
Nice, peaceful and lots to do. Can't say how many times I've been here because I lost count. But it's one of New Jersey's best hidden treasures
ᗰᗩᑎᗪY ᗪᑌGᗩᑎITᘔ
Nice camping area and great place to ride your bike and hike through the trails. The swim area isn't too great. To many rules and a small swim area. Much rather go to lake garrison to swim.
Dorothy Haas
I love the trails. The walks are beautiful & always fun into friendly people!
Robert Higgins
We hiked a few miles saw a bunch of snakes. Nice trail.
Lisa Collins
Love parvin, been going since I was a,little girl. This was something my family could always afford to do. Only costs a couple of dollars in the summer to swim. Great and affordable snack bar. I was just there yesterday and hiked the 3 mile loop. Beautiful scenery all along the trails. Cant beat it!
theduckthatquacks
Loaded with sand fleas . even the docile 3 mile main lake loop.. got bit up good.. mosquitos even in the dry weather... avoid all the trails from late spring to late fall unless you wanna get ate up good.. the beach and camping are typical bottom of the barrel state stuff but what do you expect for the $$$.. rangers sit around idle there alot.. look out if you do 36 mph in the 35 zone or miss a crossing walker through their turf. They got radar and dogs .. we were forced to detour off the main trail loop because campers had obstructed and otherwise made the section of the trail past their campsite unusable.. some trails are in need of work..some are closed due to work..some ya just aren't sure.. C+
Jess Stout
Love this campground. It was our place when I was a kid and I have many wonderful memories there with my family. We basically lived there all summer. It's woodsy and quiet and the best place to relax and get away from it all. I plan on going there with my own children now. Love this place.
Steven Vant
We camped in the group campsite area:
We recently went on a camping trip and had a great experience. The only issues we had were the bathrooms could have been cleaner, one of the two stalls in the men's room was not able to be locked, only two of the group sites were labeled on trees to mark which site was which, there is no clear map for where the group sites are and their layout as well as the location of additional parking. We also wish some more spots could be cleared in the group site area to allow more people to fish at once. We went with cub scouts, so we had to take turns fishing at the site. Really nice fire rings. There is a grate that can be flipped out of the way which is great for prepping your embers and then cooking with cast iron. Overall good experience.
Jatin V Mehta
Good place for walking & light tracking
Hugo Nieves
I enjoy fishing here on the lake and walking the trails. The trails can get crowded at times and very few people pick up their dogs droppings so watch out fo the "land mines" and the smells can at times be a little overwhelming.
Bri
When I went unfortunately it began to thunder and they have a rule where they have to wait 30 mins for the thunder to quit before they let anyone back in the water . I was going to rent a canoe for a few hours and go fishing but the weather had other plans .
They have a nice beach like area , kayaks and canoes for rent , and expert fishers come for competition so I mean it's nice just plan ahead
Manuel Nunez
Beautiful state park with great and clean trails for the family or a run or even bicycling
luis suarez
You know this is a great place take your family there's hiking fishing you can go canoeing there is some really nice trails around the whole lake. There's even an area where you could drive-in you could stay with the camper just parks a bunch of wildlife also all around a really great place to go take your family
Sonia Galindez
Great cabins and of course tent camping is so good u forget the city for a few days.
Hector Montalban
Safe place to walk, trails have nature's view seen some deers, also many families bicycle riding. Lake view is relaxeable, peaceful area to relax
Rick Byrne
Very nice park. Great hiking / walking trails. There appears to be a nice beach on the lake but we did not go there.
Gwen Murphy
My favorite place in the world. 😍 I'm planning a trip here with my friends this summer. I can't wait to get back out there. …
Dona Rozelle
Awesome safe place to camp. There are cabins and tent sites, plus rv pull through sites. The beach has grills and picnic tables, but there is a beach fee to get to them during the summer. Canoes and kayak rentals, a snack shack with hot foods, and lifeguarded beach are available during summer months.
Diana Travaline
This state Park is great! There's play grounds, boat ramps ,hiking trails. The beach is well kept and there is an admission fee to get in. There are group rates and plce for parties and reunions. Big pavilions. There are grills near and around the beach and playgrounds. You can also rent boats and kyaks.
Christine DeGraff
I love Parvins! I remember camping there as a kid and last year, my fiance, dog, brother, nephew and his girlfriend all went and had a great time (even though it was HOT). Definitely rent a canoe while you are there. If you drink, keep it on the DL as the park rangers are NOT cool with it at all!
Dominique Susini
Not like it used to be,needs some tender loving care
Holly Matro
Great park with nice views. There are a variety of trails with different distances. The lake is beautiful and there are nice, wooded campsites. Dogs are allowed, and most of the trails are stroller friendly.
Shannon Bronico Hodgins
Nice well-marked trail around the lake. There were several other trails from 1 to 3 miles each and a swimming area in the lake. There's a fee for swimming but the trails are free.
lingchao kong
Nice view in a December afternoon.
Julie L. Bakley
Pet friendly trails for walking or jogging. Trails are different lengths, clearly marked. Swimming is permitted when lifeguard is on duty. There are boat ramps, cabins, campsites and SEWAGE draining stations for Eva. Clean restrooms and showers
Jim M
Great long trails a normal walk around lake depending on trails 2+ hours, great for dog walks and bike rides and plenty of friendly people and not trashy looking, Aswell as the lake and beach so it fits all basic needs in one park.
Bill P
Parvin is a gem of a park tucked away in southwestern New Jersey. There's a bathing beach (in season) boat launch for kayaks, canoes, and boats with electric trolling motors, miles of paved and unpaved trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, and campground with tent/ camper sites, group sites, and cabins. There's something for everyone.
rob smith
Very peaceful . Several nice trails to get some good excersize ... They also rent kayaks
Ray Castagnoli
Beautiful relaxing trip as always!
Dan Radice
Well maintained and large sites. The bath facilities are great and include a dish sink. The water quality was a bit low. Rust in the water was the only issue. Top notch otherwise.
Gaby Marie
It was very nice. There was ice so we got to throw rocks at it! We also picked some of the ice up and threw it on more ice. It was so much fun! 100 percent would go again!!
David woody
Love camping here fishing n great bike and hiking trails fun for the whole family and swimming beach when in season
Janet Rodriguez
Beautiful scenery, great place for family gatherings and outdoor fun
Tony
Nice park. State need to help clean up.
Tara Dowdy
Loved the campground. Nice big shaded sites. Picturesque lake. It wasn't warm enough for us to swim when we are there, but we are definitely planning a return trip
Edward Verdaguer
Awesome not expensive bring your own stuff bbq no drinking or smoking police present 2 dollar admission per person grills on site or bring your own small swimming whole boat and kayak rental. Play music bbq eat have fun play volleyball
Monica Brown
This is a very nice park, you can walk or ride your bike on the trails. You can fish, camp out, swim, cook out, canoe, or just relax. Dogs are allowed in certain parts if the park.
Theophilus I
Although the most recent time I was out to Parvin it was quite crowded with people from all over the country, since I live close by I know that to not be the norm. Our family has spent many a day relaxing and even some nights camping at Parvin over the past 30 years and have a lot of fond memories of things such as when my wife slipped off a log she was using to cross a stream over a crick out there but still managing to keep her camera out of the water when she went in. Parvin was also always a good spot after dinner to take the canoe and just paddle around the lake as we would watch all sorts of wildlife doing their thing whether it was the frogs croaking, the ducks or geese flying, the fish flopping as well as several others doing what God designed them to do. Since we lost my wife a few years ago I haven't been out there very much but I do cherish the gem we have so close to home.
Genieofgenes788
Albeit being in the middle of the woods, most of the trails are overrun by roots & not very well maintained. The playgrounds that are here are also overrun by shrubs, bushes, bees nests, etc. We live right down the street from this park but we prefer to drive 15 minutes to Green Branch Park instead. It’s a shame but Parvins is not what it used to be.
Jp L
Wish the trails were taken better care of. Easy to get lost at one point. Reminds me a lot like Belleplain
Jamie Familia
Rustic cabins, affordable price. Clean and with basic appliances, refrigerator, stove, oven, decent bathroom with shower and toilette and the rooms are small but have bunks with flatlike mattress. I enjoyed camping with my nieces and nephews a great deal, we fished, bbqued, made smores in the night. There is a beach sort of say, the water is warm in the summer, and entrance is FREE if you are renting a cabin. There is a walmart which is about a 5 min drive and they would have absolutely everything you need. Overall great place to spend with family.
Ayda Rodriguez
Been going there for year when my kids were young, now I go with my grandchildren. love the place it's been more than 20 years and we haven't miss a summer yet, friendly staff and the others campers always waving when going by greeting and smiling.
JK Schwehm
Fun well managed older park. Needs a little TLC.
Tammy Santangelo
We took our Save the Date pictures here for our wedding and had our First date here also! It's a great park for boating, swimming, walking, and close to home.
Kelly Hill
Tick city ,we picked tons of tiny ticks off of us . But very nice place
michelle lieggi
Between going here since I was a child..a great state park with lots of history..
mj
Great for just about any outdoor activity; walking & bicycle trails, lake for fishing (w boat ramp!), beach for swimming (w lifeguard), camping - pitch a tent, rv/camper or rent a log cabin! Best of all, besides campsites, it's all FREE! & can't forget DOG 🐾 FRIENDLY! (poopie bags provided as well, FREE too! so no excuses 😉) Beautiful, serene State park & forest located in Southern NJ (about an hour driving distance from most, if not all, Southern NJ shore areas!)
vik kruz
Very clean, many trails, and lots of fun. Bring your kayak, or boat. There is also some great spots for fishing.
Shiann Wilson
A few nice trails for biking and walking but not great for serous hiking. Also be wary as many people bring their dogs.
Andy
It's beautiful, a nice place to rent a canoe & get lost for a few hours. All the staff we ran into was very nice. The beach area at the main entrance wasn't crowded.
George Pittman
An enjoyable golf course and a extraordinary view well manicured course.
Sean Hightower
Lakes great for swimming in the summer, $2 admission. Nice trail that wraps around the lake. Has 3 play grounds for kids.
Edward Colon
Always a nice place to fish.
Franky Bonet
A very astute park. The main trail was perfect in distance. Not to long not too short and if you wanted, you could keep going on other trials to extend the hike.
Jill Camper Magee
Absolutely beautiful. The trails are awesome and the view is even more amazing 👍👍 …
John Ainsworth
Have camped at Parvin for many years. Every year seems to be more dissapointing. I wish the older woman at the office would just retire, because she is not at all pleasant. It is rediculous that they make check-in for cabins at 3 pm. They say it is because they need to get in and clean. Yea right. The only thing they do seems to mop the floor, with a dirty mop. They bathroom is filthy with mold all over the curtain and walls. For as much as they clean, you should be able to check in at at the latest 2 pm since you have to check out by noon. If your lucky to have a repair or upgrade performed, it looks as if a 2 year old has performed the work. No pride at all. This year was the first time I had interaction with the Park Police because a visitor parked in the wrong spot. Let's just say another employee of the state with personality issues. I thought the Parvin Committee was supposed to start helping with the issues of budget cuts. I am not seeing it in terms of the up keep of the cabins. Parvin is a beautiful place and I want to continue visiting, but they are making it harder every year.
Bill Castorina
My wife and I have hiked here many times. Trails are well maintained and marked. Off season restrooms not available in the camping area.

Trinity
Beautiful scenery and love everything about it. My family and I love to walk around and pick up any trash but it was already well attended to and clean when we arrived.
Trista Colleen Jones
Great outdoor adventure with the kids, got in over 3.5 miles on the trail.
Andre Jones (Revvy Rev)
This is a great place to just wind down. The peacefulness of the water, the trees, the outdoors in general. I go here to just be one with nature, talk to My God and center myself.
Stephens Basement
Wonderful state park. Nice hiking trails through the pines. Camp sites and cabin rentals. They even have a beach and concession area in the summer.
Hilary Griffin
Great little family friendly beach. Swimming in the lake and big a big sandy beach. Free parking and only $2 admission price (as of summer 2018).
Eric DiFebbo
Nice park and lake. Camp grounds look good and running water all around. Nice green trail walk (3mi) and nice to get out for a day.
