Reviews of Bayou Segnette State Park
Jessica Washburn
We felt very safe staying outside the city and it was a quick ride to the ferry or drive to different attractions.
The park itself needs some updates. While we were there they did have a crew come in to repair some of the wooden decks on some of the sites.
The park was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. The bathroom facilities were always clean but the showers need to be fixed, one didn't get hot at all.
We would stay again, you just have to set your expectations correctly. We have an RV and there is no sewer on any of the sites so we had to use the facilities.
Jacob Kizer
You can get a camp site on short notice and for a single night if you show up in person. Website requires 2 days notice and 2 night stay. The bathroom and showers need more circulation, they are like a sauna. The campsite that we got was very low and wet, so we has to set our tent up on the asphalt. Overall pretty good experience though.

We stayed here for two weeks, from just before Christmas till just past New Years. Location is great, as it's very close to New Orleans. The campground, and park, overall, are nice, and as an avid birdwatcher, there was always something cool to see. I enjoyed just watching birds at our site and in the wet swampy woods behind us. The campground is arranged in two loops, in a figure 8 pattern. No septic, just water and electric, but the bathrooms were OK, at least for the first week. There is a bathroom/laundry for each loop, so roughly 50 campers sharing those facilities. They even provide cool boardwalks that run through the swamp to cut the walking time in half. About a week into our stay, the bathrooms in our loop were suddenly closed with caution tape across both doors, without any explanation from park staff (so now, one bathroom for 100 campsites). That meant a much longer walk to the other loop every time we needed to use facilities. The staff at the office were of no help, offering up excuses like " oh are the bathrooms closed?", or "the plumber is on his way", or "we know, and the plumber has been contacted". Granted, this was over the New Years weekend, etc, but they were closed for the entire last week of our stay, and there was never any sign that they were making any progress. Meanwhile, there was a septic truck emptying out the "tornado survivors" trailers (provided by FEMA) which took up about 50% of the sites in our loop (kudos to the state for providing living assistance for them anyway). They were emptied daily, but couldn't help the people who paid for spots! And on our way out, we used the dump station, which needs some repairs as well; a new faucet that works for the water spigot, and a nut and bolt for the metal septic head, so it isn't just loose on the ground. Overall, these two incidents ruined our camping experience here, and not sure we would ever return.
Roaming In My RV
Great State Park. It's a bayou practically in New Orleans. Really beautiful with a large day use area, boat launch and campground and several playgrounds.
The campground was great, water and electric only but a dump station in the campground. Restrooms have hot showers but are not heated so pretty chilly when you get out.
I saw my first armadillo!

So glad we seen these on our airboat tour otherwise we would have never had a clue they existed. After learning about them we headed their to book the cabin for the night. Highly recommend! Way cooler then a hotel. Clean, private, quiet. Hot water for showering. Full kitchen. Alligators were swimming all around us was super neat
Doug Stern
My son, Henry, and I enjoyed a week at Bayou Segnette back in June 2017. We'd visit again. The facilities were clean and well managed. We UBERed into the city easily from our campsite whenever we wanted to experience New Orleans. Our site was a little wet...although it's on a BAYOU and a tropical storm passed through right before we arrived!
Dani Herzog
It’s a little swampy and there are trees everywhere from hurricane ida that they haven’t cleared away yet. Even the walking trails weren’t cleared. It’s a good place to sleep in your car or tent if you’re looking for cheap accommodation in Nola but want access to a shower, bathrooms, and laundry.
Chonrie Lemieux
The staff is wonderful. If there are problems, it is usually from campers, spitting, or not flushing. For some reason, St. Bernard camper's were friendlier. LOL.
I did see Cardinals, beautiful Green Finchs, Crows, Vulture, amongst other birds. Other animals are Racoons, Armadillos, Lizards, Frogs and 🐈 s. It is fun camping experience, w nature. The Trails are sweet.
M Weddle
It was real pretty and the staff were nice. When checking in they were understaffed and we waited for over an hour for the key for our cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It has wifi, tv, a dishwasher, and a grill. Can hold around 6 people sleeping. Was a fun experience.
Amanda Dearborn
Very nice camping and kayaking trip. Awesome bathroom with hot showers.
Charmon Bynum
My first time at this park. Loved it. Plenty room for everyone. Ample parking and tables.
Heidy Schaerer
Bayou Segnette is a nice, quiet and very large state park. the RV lots and the streets are a bit narrow, especially if you come with a large rig. Next to our lot we had a concrete "terrace" with a table which unfortunately we could not use as it was pouring with rain. We felt very safe here and can only recommend the place. The staff is very nice, friendly and helpful.
Doug Yeates
Nice little state park. A couple of things to mention though, our deck was nearly rotted away, the site was level and utilities worked fine. The bathroom experience varies, depended on how sloppy your fellow campers were, but overall there were ok. The pools were closed when we were there. There is a levy on property which was interesting to check out. Staff was friendly. We used it as a base for New Orleans, so close but far enough so you can rest in the quiet of the park, but you will hear airboats once in a while. We will consider coming back.
patrick fogarty
Cabin was great, clean and spacious. Great value
Charles Rudd
The forest was still heavily damaged by the last hurricane, which they could not help, but the showers were bad. 2 of the 3 showers were broken and all were missing shelves and/or hooks to keep your clothes off the wet floor. The door on the handicap shower was falling off and one of the showers was missing the faucet handle. They did a good job on landscape maintenance but not facilities maintenance. Very convenient to downtown NOLA, however.

Overall this is a nice park. However it is wet. Could have been the season we were there. Late July. The bugs are LOUD beginning early evening so hard to sit outside to relax or have a conversation. The water pressure is inconsistent. We had our tank filled for those times when it went low. The cabins looked cool. Right on the water. Also, people are not supposed to dump their gray water and we saw an RV doing that. We informed the front office and nothing was done. We were there for a week. It sucks bc there are contaminants in gray water that mess up an econosystem.
Jon Fleig
We used this Park as a base to explore the city of New Orleans. Drive 20-25 minutes to the Angiers Ferry Terminal, park your car/van on a nearby residential street, and take a $2 / 5 minute ferry ride to the Canal St. Terminal, and you're there. Yes, some of the campsite decks/tables need maintenance, but we saw work crews renovating the facilities every day. Bathrooms had hot water at good pressure, but you might find the shower hot/cold directions opposite the indications.. Office staff was friendly and efficient. Take a walk down the levee road to check out the floating cabins. Plenty of stores along the commercial boulevard outside the park. Day use facilities like the pools were closed for lack of staff.

Well kept. Clean bathrooms. Friendly check in. Spacious sites. Easy access to French Quartier in a variety of ways. After hours gate access super simple to figure out. Definitely would stay again.
Lisa Rogers
I love going to my State Park. Every time you go there it's well kept up no trash the grass is cut the service is beautiful people are friendly and they have some very nice cabins to stay in to go hunting and fishing and or if you just want to spend time with your family back there

Day use: plenty of parking, picnic tables and pavilions. Restrooms and Playground too. Great place to go for a walk or have lunch with the family.
Campground: this place could be a 5 star campground with a few improvements! It has potential! Location is why we booked it. Sites seem to vary, some arent as level, and there's not much privacy between them. Some have deck platforms, some don't. Electric and water on site, dump station at entrance. Bathrooms are clean but could use an update. Two laundry rooms, pay by coin or an app. Wi-Fi on some of the campground? Our site (30) was flat and actually had partial shade. Picnic table, fire ring, grill, a little grass space, backs up to swamp. Had some internet signal there. Nearby store and gas station. Bus route within walking distance. Overall we were happy to pay less than $30/night at a spot so close to downtown (20 minute drive, we used Lyft). But with a few updates to the bathrooms, site maintenance, internet, pool, etc, this place could be outstanding, and charge $40/night!

Always a great park to stay. It has everything you would want to experience in a Louisiana state park. Fishing, boating, alligators, and of course the mosquitoes. Had an issue with a burned plug on power outlet and they came right out and replaced it and made sure my camper was ok before they left. Great job!
Blair Ogburn
This place is tranquil and beautiful. The sunrises and birding made us so happy.
Daisy McDow
Quiet and serene, almost home. Lots of space between campers.
Nolanavy Mom
This is a beautiful state park just 15 minutes outside of New Orleans. There are hiking trails, a boat launch, picnic areas and camping. It is clean and well maintained. I would suggest visiting in the fall, winter and spring.
Brad Long
Great location in proximity to NOLA. Sites are spacious, but have a lot of dips and holes in the ground. Open sites with not a lot of trees or shrubbery.
Laurie Rials
Well maintained park with a rural feel. Large sites with patios, grill and fire ring; water & electric services. Some sites have decks. Great bike riding park. Park has wave pool, pool and cabins. Close to downtown New Orleans and French Quarter.
Ashley Kim
Our family has camped here a few times and we really like it. Some draw backs however. One is the pools are only open Thursday-Sunday which kind of sucks if you like camping more through the week like we do. Plus that's pretty much the most you can do there. They have a couple parks and all that but it's not that great. The best part is the wildlife. There are so many bunnies, cats, and we have even got to see some armadillos and a turtle once. Have yet to see an alligator tho I am told they have some. So I'm still waiting. The other draw back is that sometimes its kind of difficult to back your camper up because the drive is so narrow. Even with some regular vehicles it can be a challenge to get in and out(especially out). Other than that it is a very pretty place to stay and the pricing is good. The bathroom facilities are generally kept pretty clean and the fact they have free laundry is a bonus for sure.
Tom sizemore
Very nice for a state park. Large open spaces plenty of room around your rig. Good power and water pressure. Dump station as you leave the camp ground. Easy access to NOLA and the surrounding areas.
Rebekah Chamberlin
There's one big trail that breaks up into a bunch of small trails. The trails just go through the trees but for an out of towner I enjoyed the different fauna and seeing crawfish holes.
We saw alligators in the main lake so that was worth the trip to me! It does cost 2 or 3 bucks a person to get in.
This park had lots of picnic tables.
Julie Martin
Love this place. You can stay right on the water in a very nice 2 bedroom cabin with full kitchen. 😉 …
Tory Taylor
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our stay at BSSP was. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The campground was well laid out and clean. We were on lot #28. There are fresh seafood markets within a 5 minute drive from the Park. The French Quarter and Garden District are only a 25 minute drive away. The campground restrooms and laundry (free) were clean and in good condition. We will definitely be back here in the future. I know what it means, to miss New Orleans!
Max Cox
These floating cabins are a great option for families who want to visit New Orleans without staying in New Orleans. When we visited, the cabins were brand new (opened in October 2016) and clean. We enjoyed waking up to the bayou sunrise; having a cup of coffee and being able to cook breakfast in our own space. Each cabin has its own pier, a screened porch and there are decks on both sides. There is even a place to moor a boat beside the cabin. There are 2 bedrooms that sleep six. One bedroom has 2 bunk beds. The hiking trails are pretty short (less than a mile), but they are great for kids. Other amenities include a playground and wave pool. This is a kid-friendly place that is safe with lots of guard rails if you have young children. To top it off, the New Orleans French Quarter is a very easy 30 minute drive.
Cara Taylor
Beautiful park. Clean comfort stations. Very friendly staff.
We camped here as an alternative to staying at a pricey hotel in New Orleans. Not a bad drive to New Orleans, but finding parking was a bit tricky (Wyndham Hotel will validate parking in their garage if you go to a specific restaurants; Palace Cafe, Bourbon House, and a couple more).
The bugs made it difficult to sit outside and enjoy the evenings, but hey, it's NOLA in June.
We would definitely stay here again.

Nice campground. Lots of wildlife. Alligators, spiders, armadillos everywhere. Plenty to do in the park and close enough to new orleans and everything you might need. Most park rangers are great. One lady though in the main office has zero patience or sense of humor. We had an issue with our stay so we called in and tried to push it back a day. We thought everything was good until the first day of our stay. They called and said we were scheduled to not be there abs that we needed to move our trailer as they assigned it to someone else. They told us to come to the office as soon a possible. That was at around 6pm. We were in the French quarter so we hustled back as fast as possible. We figured out what happened and got it sorted out by right around 8pm which is when they close. This lady made it clear that she didn't appreciate staying after 8. I get it but it doesn't hurt to stay a little longer to take care of people.
Garry Norman
The park is very spacious with plenty of room around the campsites the bathrooms are nice with laundromat.
I did not like the fact that some people were living there full-time and just moving sites every 2 weeks they were a very sketchy!
The park could use a little maintenance on the dump station.
And possibly some mosquito spray trucks!
Rebecca Rydell
Absolutely beautiful Park! Enjoyed opening my blinds to trees, birds and beauty! We went into New Orleans every day from the park. Loved the park! Wish we lived closer!
Lisa Wilson
What a gem!!! Twenty minutes to the French Quarter and a world away. Beautiful, quiet and dark surroundings are found at this park. Lots of room to walk and look for birds and other wildlife. So inexpensive too for all it has to offer! Okay would come back here anytime I am in the area. Laundry and shower facilities too, but we did not use them.
Kansas city Traveller
Fully equipped with laundry pool park for kids showers and everything you need electrical hookups just outside of New Orleans The best place to camp while in Louisiana
Kurt T. Bellow, Jr.
Very clean, very friendly. Big wave pool. No sewerage at the camp sites, but there is a dump station.
Kimberly perrillioux
Excessive fishing areas and plenty "secret paths" as I call them with the kids- that also have benches for pit stops in the park itself. You can launch your boat straight from their docks and have access to some of the most beautiful places, plentiful with fish (of course)- bayous, canals, and 2 separate lakes. the wildlife is gorgeous, great for spouse getaways or family getaways.
Nora Zaylskie
Nice campground very close to the Bayou. There were plenty of opportunities to see alligators and other wildlife. The showers are a bit dated and some doors didn't close at all. The camping spots are very spacious. Overall a nice place to camp and bring the family.
Michael Bailey
A wonderful park for camping fishing and if you have a RV you can park there. They also have cabins you can rent as well they also have BBQ grills around the park. But... Please pick up all the garbage you bring 😎 …
Sean Mc Cabe
Too many issues to go into great detail
The bathroom never has hand soap to wash up after taking a dump. Camping, no sewer option, so you have to go to the bathhouse.
Wave pool closed states due to staffing.
L Ger10
If you've never experienced the Louisiana swamps, here is a very cheap and convenient place to do it! Just outside of New Orleans, this park has many boardwalk trails weaving through the swamp and you WILL SEE many gators and snakes close up (often too close) in their natural habitat. The swamp is also beautiful and we were lucky enough to see a big owl close up. I believe you can't see natural like this on an expensive swamp boat tour!
Tony Posadas
Great state park, it was $30 night for a site with electric and water. They have facilities with restrooms, showers, and Free laundry. We had a great time here. Dog friendly
glmgemini1
Good place to fish with the guys. cabins could have been a little cleaner but overall good adventure
grc0520 “grc0520” NC
Beautiful large flat green grass sites. Liked that had trash cans scattered throughout campground; no big ol dumpster. A bit noisy as a highway runs over a part of the part. We stayed here due to proximity to New Orleans. We took ferry from Algiers; $1 if a Senior Citizen; $2 if not. Short ride. We walked everywhere from the ferry dock.
IntrepidTeach
Visited after a heavy rain so many areas were turned into duck ponds! Great playground & picnic area, but sadly the marked walking trails we saw were overgrown & impassable.
Jayne Amsden
Great place to camp/RV and see New Orleans.
The spaces are all nice, large and welcoming. The bathrooms are updated and pretty clean. Bonus for the free washer and dryers which we used! Wifi super slow but not important to us.
Drove to Algiers point and took the ferry across to the French quarter. Parked on the street and went into get tickets where we were told to go down to street level just past the whole building and get to the ferry. We found it pretty easy and paid our $2 each to get over to NOLA.
Next day we went again but the fog delayed the ferry so we took bus 101 from the front of the ferry over and were happy with the ride- 20 minutes for $1.25.
Each night we have enjoyed the fireflies and the calm her in the park. We did see some mosquitoes but used a thermocell mosquito repellent outside and had no issues.
If we are back in this area we will definitely stay here again!
LE NERO
I love to visit here The only problem I had was my deck on lot 17. There was three planks broken an someone just laid a piece of board to cover it up. Rather just replace the board.
Rachel Miner
This is so nice, you would not even realize you are around a city. 20 min from New Orleans, yet secluded and in nature. The price is great and the bathrooms, playground, and laundry on site are good. I even went jogging around the big circle. I am sure it is even better in the summer when the pools are open. Sites are paved and long. Water and electric, no sewer, but a free dump station. Definitely will stay here again.
Duane Hickman (Italy)
Beautiful campgrounds. Lots of space and great facilities. Definitely coming back!
Marilyn Alm
A very pretty park, unexpectedly so, given how close it us to down town New Orleans. The RV camp sites appear to be mostly level. All are paved. Some have patios. Plenty of picnic tables. Elevated walkways to allow you to explore some of the wetlands. Hookups are where and electric only, though there is a dump station at the exit of the park. All in all, a very pretty and quiet place to spend a week or two.
Harold McDowell
Really nice spot to stop. .It Is The Bayou alright ... An armadillo just would not leave us and it was not afraid...😲 …
Rick Brown
Incredible rv park .. unique cabins on the water .. extremely reasonable pricing and only a couple miles to tye french quarter
Keith Hellmers
Attended a birthday party there. The attendant at the gate was friendly and informative. The park is beautiful. Picnic/ Pavillion area was clean. Even heard that the restrooms were clean and smelled good!
We had a great experience. Thank you Louisiana State Parks!
Angela Perez
Great camping spot seen lots of local wildlife including this armadillo 3 fat raccoons, birds an more
Nick I.
Great State Park for RV camping. The spaces are huge the grounds are well kept. The bathhouses need attention though. They were dirty and no hand soap or dryers for your hands. The best part is the seafood market down the street. Every night we had fresh shellfish right off the boat.
Mr Mumble
Great park with large rv spots well space out. Well maintained, free laundry, power/ water only at RV spots, waste/black water dump available at front of rv location. Close to New Orleans.
Class E Vapes
Full hook ups, great hot showers, free yes free laundry. Very clean park. Loved our stay
Joanna Pahlow
I love this place. Huge sites, out in nature. Electric and water, not a bad price. You can stay 14 days. Dogs allowed on leash. Free laundry!!! Showers, bathrooms ok. My husband and my dogs couldn't handle the mosquitoes. There are a lot of them. So we only stayed two days. There is a small pool and a playground. 3 bars Verizon. Some boat noise.
E. B.
Nice place. Super quiet and away from major traffic noise. We tented and it was very nice. It's set in a bayou so make sure you've got some repellent. The staff were really helpful and friendly. They have laundry machines too here. It's the best close location to the French Quarter if you're doing the tourist thing. Be aware use the address to find this place in your GPS. If you find it as a point of interest the access road doesn't exist.
Heatherann Erickson
One of my favorite places to go when I'm in the New Orleans area to just decompress
helena johnson
This is a great place for family and friends to visit. Great place for fishing Crabs and outdoor views
Beverly Smith
We stayed here for the New Orleans Jazz Festival. When we checked in the girl at the front gate just told us to pull in behind another camper. She didn’t say anything about coming into the office to check in. We wasted a lot of time riding around the campground and then realized we needed to go back and check in at the office.
The front gate is locked at night. It is next to impossible to find the gate to come into the campground after hours. It’s not marked anywhere on the road to turn into the campground. . I don’t understand why they can’t just use a code at the front gate!
Only one sink in the bathroom worked and none of the soap dispensers worked. There is one bathroom stall that leaks huge puddles from the ceiling.
Sites are a good size but lots of tree roots that need to be removed.

Lost power - pets in RV put at risk.
In our hundreds of days on the road, staying in all types of RV parks and campgrounds, this has never happened and it shook us up. We returned from a day in the city to find our RV well over 90 degrees and food in our fridge spoiled. Our pets were just getting to the point of distress when we found the campground electrician 3 sites down, repairing the issue. Turns out 3 sites are combined on one circuit breaker that only holds 100 amps. So when a Class C came in and hooked up with 50 amps and their dual AC units, plus the guy next to us running a water purifier, satellite dish, toys, etc, it was too much and the breaker burned out. The power was apparently out for a few hours during the heat of the afternoon.
The office staff was apologetic but would not refund all our money when we said we were too concerned to continue site seeing and leaving the RV with our pets, unmonitored. (Only after complaining a second time were we given an address and a form, so now we have to write a letter to appeal for a refund.)
As others said, lots of hurricane damage but saw workers clearing it up. Trails are pretty much unhikeable so we walked the roads instead. Lots of bugs!!! Found them in the cats water dish, in our bed and on the counters one morning and spent hours cleaning. Laundry area was decent thank goodness. Cell service was quite low.
Really pay attention to the instructions on how to get into the park after hours, if you plan to come back after 8. It’s tricky and would be extremely hard in the dark.
TOURISTY INFO: Still the best RV place for seeing New Orleans without staying in an expensive, loud, dirty and crime ridden city location. Even being a weekend, we had no issues with congestion or parking a huge truck downtown, which was a major concern of ours. We decided to head to the downtown at 8am and parked on the residential streets of the Garden District, which was much easier than anticipated. Locals confirmed it was free parking on side streets and we were right next to Lafayette Cemetery for a walking tour.
Used a $3 daily zippy pass to ride the street car to/from the French Quarter, which was a nice and unique experience in itself. Gotta say, walking Bourbon Street was a first and very last experience for us. Never again! Soooo dirty, extremely loud and just couldn’t handle all the little kids drumming on buckets on every corner, being peddled by their parents for money. We cut our trip to NOLA short as a result of all the above and will be hard pressed to return. But, you have to do it at least once - that’s our motto.
Joanne Anderson
Great campground and park. Well treed. Flat ashphalt sites with patio, picnic table, bbq and fireplace. Walking trails, boat ramp.
Chuck Chism
A nice quiet place in the NOLA area. Easy access to the French Quarter via the ferry. Barataria Preserve is a must visit for nature lovers.
Russell Bourg
Dissapointing, this could be a great asset for Louisiana but it is understaffed, in disrepair and because of this underutilized.
Amber Skaggs
Absolutely gorgeous park, with amazing walking trails. The woods are so serene, and filled with wildlife!
Dilip W
Nice state park. Beautiful and wooded, lots of rv sites, but well separated and some shielded by trees. Plenty of trees and water. Warm showers, could be cleaner though. Nice restrooms. Parks for the kids. Oh, and free laundry! You might have to wait a bit but still it’s free.
Chrystine Shelton
The campground is pretty awesome. Nice large spaces, quiet nights. LOTS of birds chirping all the time! The coyotes do come out at night though, I didn't see them in camp but they are definitely there. Be careful on the grass, it's got a lot of holes. Also there is a lip between the asphalt and grass. I took a but of a tumble on that and twisted my ankle, oops!
Heather W
No frills campground. The sites were spacious and the price was pretty good. One shower in the woman’s room was “out of order” which included a brown puddle that came up from the drain and remained there our entire stay.
Rosanna Lawson
Awesome! Alligators were swimming around in the bayou tour boats were passing. I loved it!
jake
We loved finding a state park so close to New Orleans. Clean park, family friendly with a playground and hiking trails. Dog friendly. At first look we thought it was a little sketchy being so close to the highway but we had no issues.
Heather Bonkosky
We had so much fun here! Fishing off the dock. Watching the alligators swim around. A fun experience. Cabins were really nice as well
Jon Foskett
This is a grt park. We've stay a few times. 12 miles from the ferry to get downtown.
If you have a big rig go around the building. The ramp is to steep. Otherwise love it!
Mike Slawson
Just paddled the Bayou. The launch looks great. The camps also look good.
Chuck Harlamert
Nice campground and good facilities for LA. Good birdwatching and lots of gators. The three stars is only because they are poor tree trimmers. Trees brushing against the rig were frustrating. Be careful of the wood decks which are rotted to the point where they can be dangerous. We put jugs of water in the depressions to avoid stumbling or falling through.
Megan Stacy
Stayed in July 2021. Nice, but no-frills state park with minimal amenities. Pool and facilities were clean. Be aware, this state park is in a literal swamp, so expect very high humidity and lots of mosquitos in the warmer months. Price was very reasonable. Stayed for a week. Easy in/out to New Orleans without staying near the city crime. Easy access to groceries/stores. See my travels on YouTube/Instagram @pagingdoctormegan for more!
SB
We were here 7 years ago and just lived it! It’s still quite, conveniently located and affordable BUT it’s getting pretty run down. The wooden patios are actually dangerous (holes/cracks and trip hazard) they are in a huge need of tree trimming and removal! VERY SCARY LEANING AND DOWN TREES. We worried the entire time that a tree would fall in our trailer/truck.
Having a laundry room in the park is a great touch!
Rose Gossett
Clean, safe, large sites. Shower house is clean friendly staff.
Sandra A
Loved staying here. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Everything here was ok. I thought there'd be a lake but the overgrown brush and landscape has put the lake out of visibility. They are still trying to fix / clean up from hurricane that passed thru. We stayed here weekend of 3-4-22. Chose this place because close to new orleans and taking the kids to the zoo. They have 50 amp connections and water. Dumpstation on the way out.
Joe Taylor
Good weather wonderful park and people. Camphost very helpful

Cabins are floating cabins on the water and are really nice. Would have gave 5 stars but a lot of the amenities were not open or under construction when we went. I noticed they had a wave pool and splashpad though.
Elizabeth Hernandez
Free laundry and wifi! It was a nice park with a wave pool at certain times of the year.

We love this place we always go here to camp fish and play in the water at their little swimming pool you won’t find a better place to bring your family to enjoy a nice day our weekend it is clean well-kept and the staff is very pleasant you can’t go wrong with Bayou lake

Bayou Segnette has put worth effort into building up their campground, however, maintenance has gone unattended within the last year. There is a wave pull (closed due to no lifeguard staffing) and nature walks. Some of the nature walks had wooden walkways, which were grown over with brush. Some of the camping spots were flooded due to the recent rains. I would suggest going to the campground and looking at the spots before choosing one. We chose spot 17. The campground looks like it was recently mowed in most spots. Louisiana gets substantial rain in June, so I understand how it became over grown. The Ranger (Isses) took us on a wonderful marsh tour and was very knowledgeable! We saw alligators, large crickets, garden spiders, and armadillos. The Stay was $30 a night, but we were charged a $6 “transaction fee” at the office. They gave us a printed sheet of places to explore. It is 30 minutes from downtown New Orleans and 40 minutes during rush hour.
Charles Arabie
Great place to visit. One of our picnicking spots.
Doug Gross
RV sites were big enough for small rig and truck, but we couldn't fit the truck in so we parked on the side. Our site was right on the playground, which was a huge plus with the kids and made using the showers easy (since there is no sewer hookups). The wifi was only usable in the middle of the night, but I guess that's to be expected. We mainly came for the close proximity to New Orleans. The park seems like it has more to offer in the summer months, with a pool for campers, but we did enjoy the short hiking paths and just riding our bikes around the park.
Mike Roof
Great state park to camp at. Very clean with all amenities that you will need. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend to everyone.
Jerald Cain
Campsites and Cabin spaces, plenty of other spaces for the whole family to have a good time
David Caughman
Good value for the price. Fairly good sized spaces. Forest feel even though just outside the city. There is some industrial noise at night but nothing disturbing. Well maintained.
Vikki Asselstine
Was there for baseball and the use of their diamond. The events and retreats I have been to there has always been nice The grounds are well kept
Charolette Scruggs
The park was nice and wooded but due to all of the rain the sites were very soggy. The
Mosquitoes were out in full forces. I did like that each site was paved and many had platforms to keep off the grounds. I enjoyed that we were close to downtown New Orleans.
Michelle Olivier
Nice clean state park. Close to New Orleans.
Chris Paolini
Incredibly tranquil, great sites with picnic tables, fire pit and grill, 50amp and water. The laundry is also free!
Ashley Ball
Nice, quiet park grounds are very well kept and RV spots are nice and level asphalt. Staff is helpful with any questions but the rangers are very busy it's a hot park to be at. Bath house is a little smaller three shower and three restroom stalls all together but we didn't have any problems waiting for facilities. The cabins look great and we even considered renting one the next time we are there instead of taking the RV. Wildlife is abundant especially the armadillos at night time. Bring bug spray though!
Paula Sanchez
I am a local here. Rent cabins and camp sites. Minutes from New Orleans. Friendly staff. Quiet place to get away. Great place to excercise Follow the speed limit.......Perfect for the whole family...
Jennifer McDonald
The park is tucked into the actual city, but you would not know it. I have to agree with others, tent camping would be miserable because the ground is always wet, but you are camping in a swamp so that should be considered. It's diffently a park to camp at, if you are in the area. Mosquitoes are horrible at dusk but again you are camping in a swamp. All things to be expected. Overall experience was a really good experience. Thank you ladies at the front office for your hospitality it was overall a great experience.
Cynthia Miller
All the trees are laying all over due to last year's hurricanes. Didn't feel like campground more like parking lot. Shower house is awful doors don't lock and everything gets soaked.
August Rabeneck
Very nice
Has nice pavilions and restrooms
Teresa Benton
We enjoyed our guided tour. We learned a lot. There were plenty of places to park. Lots of pavilions. A nice playground. Most important of all; clean restrooms with soap and paper towels. We left no trace. :)
Hayes Weggeman
I really like Bayou Segnette State Park. There are about 5 boat launches. The tide was high and there was quite a bit of mud on launches so you have to be careful. This happens sometimes after lots of rain when all the drainage pump stations run and it raises the level of the bayou a lot. The rental cabins on the bayou are great. You can pull your boat up to them and tie it off there. You can fish right there from the cabins. They float and can rise with the tide. There are many private camps along the various canals leading off of Bayou Segnette. It's nice to get out there on the water.
Bonnie
Nice big camp ground. Plenty of space between campers. Electric and water only. Some sites have wooden decks plus their concrete pad. We spent three nights there originally booked 2 but decided to stay an extra night. It was a bit confusing with the reservations because they had us move that same day from our original site to another site because our site was taken for that extra night. Was not informed of that until the Park police came by and notified us that we had to move our camper now. A little clarification would have helped in that matter.
Alicia Archer
Beautiful park. Spacious campsites. Decent facilities. My only complaint is that I wish quiet time wad 11 pm instead of 10 pm. It'd be nice to sit out by the campfire and play guitar in the night air but we had some very rigid neighbors who were a stickler for the rules.
Helmi Hess
This park is lovely for its proximity to New Orleans, price (using a seniors discount code, thanks dad!) and the sites themselves are spacious with hot showers and laundry available. But a word of advice for booking- do it online as much as you can! The front desk lady today was rude, condescending and non-sensical. We had reserved for 23rd-25th and were looking to extend to the 31st. We were told we needed to move locations on the 24th to keep our reservation, which could only be extended until the 29th. But we weren't able to make a reservation on a different site from the 29th-31st in person, as new bookings can only be started online. They can only do transfers in person. But then I was told not to pay online because a discount code could only be applied in-person. Which wasn't true anyways, since I had applied the discount code for the original reservation. She did a lot of sighing and huffing and made it seem like we didn't understand what she was saying. Really all that needed to be done was a transfer of site to extend to the 29th, and a new online reservation to be made for 29-31, but it took around half an hour and a loooooot of frustration.
Carl Cambre
Great place to get away and relax while fishing
Aaron Doré
The location is uniquely between the marsh and the city. Also just twenty minutes from the New Orleans french quarter. The RV campground can be a bit swampy after a hard rain, but the floating cabins on the bayou are really nice.
Janis Sawdy Kuch
Blacktop pads, fire rings, bbq grills and picnic tables on cement pads at every sight. Some sights have large wooden decks on passenger side. A down side if you aren't fully contained the bathroom can be far away, but they are clean. Spots are large and treed. Tons of birds here and other wildlife. My. Kind of place
Jane kinney
Spent a week here. $140 for water and electric. Sites are spacious. Had a poured slab to park on. Also our site had a a wooden deck and another poured cement slab with picnic table, grill, fire pit and lantern pole. Bathrooms we're clean but needed some upgrades. Handicap shower in women's showers would not drain. They do offer free laundry. Room was clean with two washers and dryers. Also two utility sinks. One of the washers did not spin clothes out. They have a kids playground next to shower house that was nice. They have a big picnic area that was very nice and we'll kept. We were happy here and would stay here again.
keri sullivan
The park itself is ok. Campsites are surrounded by standing water. Bugs are bad! Reservation system is poor. Lots of open campsites ate 5 but no way of knowing if you can stay in that site the next night. You have to rush to the office at 7am to secure it. Office lady is not a bit friendly.
Rob Fike
What a great relaxing stay! Very quiet and peaceful.
Close enough to the French Quarter to be real handy.
Michele Stover (Chel)
Beautiful, serene state park. Lots of birds and even saw an armadillo come out from under our wooden deck. Convenient showers and laundry. Only 15 minutes from Frenxh Quarter. Would definitely stay here again
Michelle Aguilar-Wells
We stayed two nights and loved the site, spacious. There was plenty of room to back our trailer in. It was well maintained. Nice nature trails. We are self contained so don't know about the facilties. The laundry was free, but the dryers took some time. It was a nice courtesy. Easy to get to New Orlenes, about 30 min. We'd stay again.
Brandon Griffin
Great spot due family camping with easy access to all New Orleans has to offer. I would have given 5 stars but the bathhouses need to be cleaned better. We literally saw the cleaning person leaving as we walked up. The floors were gross with hair balls in the shower drains and unflushed toilets causing it to be stinky. Easy things that should have been taken care of.
Matthew Vidacovich
Great place. The maintenance is a bit lacking in the cabins but nothing terrible (some broken blinds). The cabin we stayed in can sleep 6 comfortably though there are bunk beds involved. We went in the winter so no swimming. Staff at entrance were friendly and efficient.
Trxpgxng Dior
me and my cousin saw a raccoon 🥲 but that was the fun part 🤩 10/10 for camping …
Carla Sessions
We stayed in our camper here while vacationing in New Orleans. In September, the park had few people. We enjoyed the quiet and serenity. Unfortunately those pesky mosquitos kept us inside in the evenings, but when the sun was higher we could enjoy the outdoors. Loved the bird watching on the pond. We were grateful for the complimentary laundry facility. We were impressed with the cabins on the water. While enjoying the waterway from a parking space, we were given a tour by another visitor. It was very nice and we would definitely stay there in the future.
John H Ratliff
Very friendly staff and easily accessible camping spots. Was there on a weekend and the bath house was never cleaned. There were repair issues there, too. The camping spots can be marshy and the sounds of traffic - both water and road - early in the morning can be quite loud. But, for convenience, price, and location, this is a great place.
Duane Ball
Cabin are a nice place. Really enjoyed
Teresa Brown
What a wonderful park! We stayed there this past weekend with our two labs and our tent and had a wonderful time. The sites are well kept and great for tents or RVs. They have the fire pits, grills, tables and most have the lantern poles. The bath houses are clean and the showers were wonderfully hot! This place is just minutes from New Orleans and they give you directions to all the wonderful things to see and do. Hard to believe that you can stay at a wonderful park at a wonderful price not far from a major tourist place. This makes it great for families on a budget. We can't wait to go back again and bring our extended family! Oh, but remember you are in the woods with a lot of water so remember to bring the off or other mosquito spray as they are bad, but easily taken care of. My only warning is that when we pulled up this park on google maps it took us to the back of the park and we had to call to get the rest of the directions to the park, but it is not far off and well worth the call to get there. We highly recommend this park!! Can't wait to return and we will!
James Wren
When arriving the park rangers are very friendly. The parks location is great just minutes from shopping food downtown and the French quarter. The bathrooms are nice with free laundry, how cool is that? Some sites have decks that's a great addition. Trash cans are spotted throughout the campground for easy disposal. One of the best state campgrounds we have been too would definitely come back.
Yves Gauthier
Nice campground, the challenge is after hours walk-up (same day) for a night or 2 after 5:00 p.m. = no staff, no self sign-in (or self register) no camp host to be seen. I dont beleive I have seen this in any other State. Most would have a note on the office board, front door or posted for all to see. But not here. This is one I will remember.
I even wrote to the Lt. Gov. Nungesser for an explanation to this situation. This has got to be a good lesson learned moment.
Gloria N. Blauvelt
We camped here for two days. Great stay! The bathrooms/showers are clean and well kept. New Orleans is incredibly close. Camping here allowed us to have one night of campfire and outdoors and day time walking around the French Quarter. Perfect combination!
The air was very damp we struggled a bit to get the campfire going. Also our tent ended covered in little snails! Mosquitoes weren’t too bad with citron torches and mosquito repellent.
We didn’t realize till the last morning we were camping so close to swamp area! Great experience over all.
Marc Justice
Very nice park with beautiful cabin rentals on the canal ( actually seen a 5ft gator on the bank next to one of the cabins ) huge boat ramp with plenty of parking and a nice campground. It was 3 per person to enter but good for the entire day.
Jennifer Jankovich
Beautiful park despite Hurricaine damage. Camping spots well spaced and relatively private. Lots of space to wander. Park Manager is very friendly and helpful.
Brandi Morgan
The park itself was fine. Enough space between campsites that you aren't bothered by your neighbors. However, it's a bit tricky getting into some spots with a long trailer. Be careful of the speed "tables" near the entrance. Also. The ranger that checked us in was less than helpful and extremely unfriendly.
Jeff Rutherford
A nice park to stay at. They have nise nature trails that go through the swamp, very nice for a morning or afternoon walk. The camp spaces were far apart(witch was nice). There is FREE laundry facilities. The bathrooms were basically clean. The playground was nice the roads going in and out are well marked and wide enough for pretty much any RV. It was nice and quiet.
Samantha Fleurinor
The park is peaceful and the amenities are pretty amazing for the price. The cabins float over the water, making fishing convenient. Sleeps 8 people. Four in one room with bunk beds, 2 in the master room with queen, and two on the pull out couch. My only complaint are the acoustics in the dining area for the group camp. It is not conducive for large group retreats that involve discussions and lectures.
Dwight Dorsey
Great place to visit quite. Only a few walking trails but nice. Good place to kayak and fish. They have updated there cabins nicely. If your looking for a quite place to get away for a few check it out
Summer Fields Hayda
Amazing camping experience during our stay in NOLA! The campsites have a nice raised platform to put your tent on to mitigate against thunderstorms. Electricity on each site. Nice showers with good pressure. You get to walk on a boardwalk through a swamp to the showers!
Elizabeth !
Didn't venture out to see the park but, the shelter was convienantly close to a fishing hole (shelter 3) and the 🚺 ladies restroom was remarkably clean. Lots of open picnic tables. Maybe next time I'll explore. …
Larry McCarty
Excellent stay. Speed tables are high. I don't like Reserve America's upcharge so usually skip LA State Parks. Park has nice spacing between camping sites. 50/30/110 amp. Dump station. No sewerage drops at site. Employees and manager are very nice.
bbgalini8
Peaceful stay at Bayou Segnette. Stayed in the floating cabins. Park trees still have damage from Hurricane Ida. The cabins are well maintained and a nice stay.
Hrebesh Subhash
Great place for picnic and relaxation!
CHICO TURNER
All I can really say is wow!! This place was just what I needed. Relaxation, peaceful, exciting and a clean cabin. I even enjoyed the alligators that surrounded the cabin on a daily and nightly basis. I will definitely be returning.
Christina Cope
This will definitely be a yearly trip we do. The cabin was a great size. When we went it was super rainy and muddy so we did not check out the trails but even walking along the levees was beautiful. Great location and it’s easy to travel around town to get foods. I was surprised how I did not get motion sick even though it was 20mph winds on a few days. Can’t wait to go back.
StarLight Camper
Camped 16-30 January, 2017, a quiet time with mostly retired campers that included some days in the high 70's, others in the more seasonable high 50's. Sites are well spaced, the campground is well cared for, and the bath house facilities are excellent, cleaned daily, with showers served by plenty of hot water. Ranger Keith was very friendly and helpful to us. Within the campground we saw many great egrets, snowy egrets, and armadillos, as well as a gator, a rabbit, and a turtle. A few mosquitoes came out after dark, especially after rain, but otherwise the setting was free of annoying insects. All in all a great visit.
Alicia Payne
Roadways are dark, signs are hard to see. Roads are not in the best condition. Getting in and out (especially) of boat launch is not well marked. Treatment plant may be good for environmental but takes away from aesthetics. On a positive note, the attendant at the entrance was very pleasant.
ALLISON
What a great location. 20 mins away from all the fun yet you still get to be away from it all. Nice spacious sites with plenty of room between you and other campers. Huge nice quiet park.
JP Master Barber
I survived and the staff was very accommodating. Showers were a bonus.
Conrad Vickers
Beautiful park! A little expensive to camp there ($28 a night plus a one time fee) but pretty worth it. There is a pool just for campers that is open certain days of the week (i think it was Thursday to Sunday) and there is a water park open to the public. There are boat docks as well. Camping here was convenient since it is only 30 minutes from the French Quarter. Pro tip: if you are looking for Jazz and a more laid back scene, try Frenchmen st instead of Bourbon st. BMC and The Spotted Cat are local favorites.
Benjamin Raines
Great place to experience on the water.
Candice Morris
The campsites are kept up nice and there is a nice amount of place between sites. The camp host were very nice and my children found lots of other kids to play with. The laundry is free and that is a big deal with four of us. We were close to New Orleans but you would never know it with the beautiful night sky we enjoyed.
Rosanna Doucet
Back to nature! Relaxing on a boat ride, or fishing, or taking in the wild up close and personal🐇🐦🦆🐢🐸🐬🦀🦞🦐 …
Heather Hendrickson
Large camping area with roomy back-in camping spaces. Showers and laundry facilities onsite are clean. Easy access from the road, but camping area is far enough in that you don't hear the road noise. There are also floating cabins on the canal if you don't want to bring your camper or tent.
Shunny Marie
Cozy Cabin
Bayou Signette Cabin are located afloat, on the bayou side of the levee. Cabin #4 is pet friendly. That being said we did not have any pets bet they're was a faint oder of puppy pee upon arrival. That's the most negative I can say about the stay. The cabin has two bedrooms. One with a queen sized bed and one with two sets of bunk beds. The mattresses are very comfortable. Better than most hotels. The cabin was clean. The kitchen has all amenities to include pot, pans, silverware, plates, bowls saucers, cups and coffee cups, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and refrigerator, stove and oven. There is one bathroom with a shower and linen closet stocked with clean towels. The entrance is located under the screened back porch. There's picnic style table and benches on the porch. Two unscreened areas were you can fish. There's a place on the side of the cabin to dock a boat. Also an out door sink for cleaning fish. I'd say its a great place to relax and do a little lazy fishing. Be forewarned that the cabins are located on an ope waterway with frequent traffic of fan boat tours, several outboard fishing vessels. Its a smaller park but well worth the visit.
QUINNY
This is a beautiful park in the swampland of LA. Well manicured. Plenty of flora and fauna. Picnic tables with bbq grills. Nominal fee for entry.
Check out the floating cottages for rent out near the levee and boat ramp. Really cool.
Kevin Williams
People here are soooooo friendly. Spacious campsites. The restrooms are clean. The park is very nice.Would recommend it .
Heidi Marcoux
We really enjoyed this park. This is our first time ever and it was pleasant. Very dark at night so having a flashlight is good. Bathroom and FREE laundry great. Thank you for the state providing nice parks for us to visit 😊 …
MommaGirl
The campsite for RV is roomy. Bathhouse were kept clean. Free laundry is nice. There's boardwalks over swampy area in the park was fun. Best of all its so close to New Orleans, we park our RV at the Ferry station and took our bikes riding the ferry for only $2 per person.
Douglas Garrett
Nice place. Wasn't too crowded when we were there. Friendly and helpful rangers. They do tell you how to get in after hours, so don't know why some people have problems. Only downside was mosquitoes. If they were a problem during a cool, but not cold, January night, can't imagine how bad they might be during the summer.
Shahidah Payton
The park itself was awesome, the cabin, pretty cool, housekeeping staff-needs work. 2 top bunks were filthy. Looks like the sheets from the previous guest were never changed. We found a phone case, loose change lots of dirt. I really dislike seeing remnants of the previous person. It confirms that someone else was there and that the cabin was not thoroughly cleaned .so please inform the housekeeping staff to do better and inspect their work. P.s. the shower liner is pretty gross as well .
JO LAPINSKI
Great state park...mostly (all?) back-in spaces, but lots and lots of space around each camper. Trees, wooden porches, playgrounds, FREE laundry facilities, hiking, dump station on the way out. Easy drive to NoLa proper. Will definitely stay here again...want to experience the Wave Pool next summer!
Sean Liotta
Beautiful and clean. Awesome birding. Employees saw us having car trouble and doubled back around to help us. Very kind. Great experience!
Sharon Bone
The playground area here is nice the camping area is nice this scenery is nice the staff from the girl that takes your money to the park rangers are all rude mean and nasty for no reason. They made you feel like you were bothering them to spend your money. Pulled over to the side by the boat launch on a day when there was absolutely no one in the park and had the park ranger treat me and my grandkids like we were a bunch of criminals.
Hedy Hahn
We have stayed at this park 3 times now over a 3 year period. It is a lovely park and we will be staying here many times in the future. We pull a 30' camper and there is plenty of room for us with our 3 dogs. The people who work in the park are very nice and the park is clean and well kept. It is close to everything and we enjoy being at the park. The only problem is that there is no sewers so if you stay for an extended period (up to 15 days), you might have to take it to the disposal area.
Friendly Neighbor
We stayed at the park to save money on our trip to New Orleans. We drive a Jeep Commander and just slept in the back. The weather was cold and windy but the park was very nice and quiet. There were alot of RVs and some tents. The park was very quiet and clean. The bathrooms are a close walk to all sites. Even though the park is right in town, there is no traffic noise. The cabis sit on the river and look quite comfortable. A very nice camping experience
RS Q
It's a awesome park! Free Wifi and laundry are provided, flat campground, and it has a big wave pool. Bonus part, there is a fresh seafood market close by, very cheap and fresh seafood just off the boat, crab, oyster, shrimp, fish....., you can BBQ the seafood in the park.. Also, it's 20 minutes drive to French Quarter and other attractions. Will definitely go there again !
ubriel bryne
The land is beautiful but the bath facilities are mostly dirty and sub-par. The camp sites are spacious and well-maintained. The staff is very helpful and very friendly as well. If we ever head that way again, we will definitely stay there.
Charlei Perniciaro
Its was so fun! Me and my friends went on a boat and went tubing. Then we jumped out of the boat to go swin with life jackets on. We also brought a trailer and spent the night, there is a grill AND a fire place! There is also a nice pool. We saw lots of animals.
Jenny Mclester
20 minutes from the attractions! Love this place! Sites are nice and spacious. The park is very nice! Bathhouses are Air Conditioned which is a huge plus! Water park is so much fun! We will definitely be back
wayne young
Very nice for a state park. About 20 min from the French Quarter. Clean bath house and laundry.
KENNETH THERIOT
Absolutely wonderful a true beauty tucked away only a few minutes from new orleans. I didn't use all the facilities only the boat launch and bayou itself. It was a wonderful paddle with great flora and fauna. Be prepared to see turtles, alligators, and lots of birds. The floating cabins looked fun and cozy.
John H. Nye
Amazing state park with really fancy cabins built over the water. Ginormous swimming pool with wave maker. Campground is great and has slow Wifi.
Joanna Sommesi
We absolutely loved camping here. It was our home base while visiting New Orleans. We drove over and took the Ferry into town so we didn't have to deal with a huge truck in town. The campsite 69 was very pretty and it had marsh type terrain at the back. There were a ton of Mosquitos so we didn't hang out outside in the mid afternoon -evening. There are 2 nice playgrounds in the campground right in front of the bath houses. They keep them nice and cold so it's a lovely break from the humidity! The laundry room was free which was amazing! Also note that the campground has free Wifi and if you are parked near the bath house you will pick it up at your site! Every interaction we had with the staff there was also good. Everyone was nice and helpful! We will totally be back to this park when we are out this way!If I were looking for a site again I would go for one with a wooden deck. And go check out the Jean Lafitte Barataria Preserve if you are camping here. It's not far and had some amazing boardwalk trails!
dom_rod_official
This is super nice state park just 20 minutes away from the French Quarter. The campground is clean and very well manicured and maintained. The free laundry facility is a plus. Staff was very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend this park.
Allison O'Briskie
Park was nice and well maintained. Massive amounts of mosquitoes. If you are planning on taking a cab into the French quarter and returning after dark this is not a convenient location!! The gates close after dark so you have to use a side/back entrance which is very hard to see in the dark. My cab driver couldn’t find it and we were lost. Also the cabs cost a lot to come to this location. Not worth the little bit of savings.
tony poche
Trick or treat in the park. It was a great experience and people were giving out candy, hot dogs bags of chips a lots of other treats for the kids. Admission was free bucks per person. Definitely worth it for the kids and the kids at heart! Fun times!☺☺☺
Charles J Kelly
Nice park/campground only minutes away from the French Quarter. The campground is relatively quiet considering the over 100 sites and its location just outside of the city. We would definitely return to this campground in the future.
Big H
My favorite secret place. It's like going to another world. And, if you forget something Piggly Wiggly and the donut shop/castle burger is down the street. Oh, if you feel adventurous you can go to the Westwego seafood market and boil your own crabs crawfish or shrimp. And the park rangers take good care of their campers. Love you Bayou Segnette
Deep Breathing and Jesus
Beautiful. I can't wait to go back! Saw some great gators.
Deneen Harris
First time staying and it was beautiful. I even seen a alligator near the cabin
Diane Welch
The girl at the front was very nice. The park was clean. But the lawn cutters and the leaf blower person blew stuff at our rig making dinging sounds when it hit. One set of laundry machines was not working. The garbage was handy but Stunk right beside our rv
Steve Locke
Many good memories, lots of mosquitos at dark.
Michelle Edmond
Not all shelters has a bathroom facility! We had to share bathrooms with other people who rented shelters! Each shelter should have a bathroom! No play area for little ones. Swings, slides, etc. And $3 charge for each person in the car! Wave pool is not accessible because it has a limit, and after 2pm you can try, to enter wave park, for another couple of hours.
Allyson Mokhtarei
The ranger went above and beyond. Rode by our cabin before a storm to let us know. Stay 8/21/21 - 8/26/21. Cabins were clean, cool and comfortable.
Russ Bracco
The park is great! There are about 100 sites, plenty of room, a pool a wave pool lots of picnic areas! With that said.....we were able to get a spot for 2 nites, but we reserved a 2nd spot for three additional nites which was great!
Ok now the down side......the site we we're in was booked for the day we were supposed to leave but the site we we're going to move to still had a travel trailer in it with no one around so it couldn't be moved. As it turns out those people we're at the fishing tournament......they rented the trailer which was supposed to be moved by whoever they rented it from! 1pm came, 2pm came 3pm came and still no movement!? I asked what I should do and they told me to just hang on and stay put.... meanwhile we went through the process of closing and packing up just to sit and wait.... we're still waiting. I think we should be awarded a free night just due to the fact that we were very inconvenienced....would if we had made plans for the day??? Very poor management in my mind! By the way.... we're still waiting!
Matthew Campbell
Wi-fi did NOT work at our campsite as advertised. No sewer at sites. Free laundry is a plus when available. Lots of mosquitoes and humidity. As hot as Florida in June. Wave pool overcrowded. Lots of pretty trees. One and done for us.
Kim Parsons
Beautiful park! However, the restrooms were fairly clean, but no soap at sink or hand towels. Garbage cans in restrooms and camping sites were not emptied all weekend.
Richard K
This campground has many advantages and disadvantages. One thing you should know is that all of the sites are paved but many are slanted making the pad uneven. I'm not sure how that happened. The sites are well-spaced apart. The presence of raccoons and armadillos is not rare. The ground around the pads is uneven and could cause ankle sprains. Many of the doors on the showers do not lock properly. Also, Louisiana has a termite problem. Several nights we dealt with swarms of termites and came close to being infested. This is true for all of southern Louisiana at whatever campground you're at, so keep your lights off at night and your interior very cool. Very convenient to New Orleans.
Leslie Sherman
Beautiful... gods beauty is all around you...
valeria paixao
The employees didn't do much for customers. Not friendly on the phone.
Dietrich Chavous
Park is clean...spacious...picturesque. Pavilions...bbq grills...picnic tables are a bit shabby and need to be replaced...bring a tablecloth...river runs through the park...cabins for rental in the back over looking the river...very nice...big camping grounds w/facilities...wading pool.. swimming pool...$3.00 for general admission.
June B
Great campground if you want to tent camp or have a camper. Large spots with fire rings, picnic tables and grills. Nice kids playground next to bathroom facilities. Could hear some road and boat noise. 20 minutes from New Orleans. Would love to try the cabins but they're close to $200 night. They were almost all empty right after Mardi Gras even though the campground was full, so the price is keeping a lot of people away. Seems it would be better use of state money to lower the price a bit and keep them filled but that's just my opinion.
Lisa Banks
This was my 4th time staying here at these cabins. You can't ask for anymore. The wifi is a little slow at times, but the cabins are fully equipped. Bedding, towels, dishes, utensils, pots and pans the whole 9 yards. You just need to bring your toiletries, and food. I do plan to visit again and again, oh, and I'm a local.
Melissa Pafenberg
The campground sites are really nice. The wifi isn't strong enough to be worth trying to log in, and the campground bathrooms need to be updated. All in all, it's a beautiful park with some nice wildlife walks.
Frederick Selmon
Great cabins and camp site!
Glenn Cannon
Campground is very convenient to New Orleans. Needs work. Platforms are in bad repair. Swampy. Questionable campers.
Hailey Zamora
This place is near and dear to my heart. My family would come here every year for thanksgiving before Katrina. Since the cabins have been rebuilt, its sooo different, and smaller, but still really nice. The cabins float, theres lots of beds to sleep several people (couch, 2 bunks, and a queen), and there's even direct tv now.
Buuuttt, is SO EXPENSIVE. Its hard to stay several days. At $150/night during the week, and $175/night during the weekend, its comparable to a 3-4star hotel--which it is not. Staying multiple days before pricey. Especially when you still have to bring ALL the food you need to eat. And most of what you wanna do is launch your boat and fish.
There's several marinas, and lots of opportunity for good freshwater fishing. There are lots of fan boat tours.
The new group camp dining hall is great! Nice, new appliances and super spacious. They provide tables and chairs.
I also like the location. You have a good feeling of being secluded, and enjoy the quiet, but if you need to run to a bait shop, or get daiquiris down the road you can!
It'd be perfect if the price came down. I can't imagine that that may people are renting cabins.
Andrew Duzan
Cabins are super expensive, like 150$ a night plus taxes and fees. It is absolutely gorgeous, however. The park is really big and there are lots of things to do.
Karen Smith
The very beautiful park, but beware there are ticks! My daughter got bit on her belly button
Daniel Herbert
Excellent well kept RV park a ferry ride away to the French Quarter. The only thing that could make this better is sewer connections at camp site and a additional clean out station. I still gave it 5 stars because the price is right.
Danielle Pellegrin-Blake
So peaceful and Private. Hated to have to leave our cabin. We were able to pull off a surprise 60th Birthday Party for my Mother-in-Love this past weekend and everyone had a great time! We even caught a little gator (a little to close for comfort) and released him away from our cabin. Definite ☆☆☆☆☆ experience.
Kristine Ritter
Good food friendly service BIG bowl of Gumbo I will be back!!! Did I mention the huge basket of fried pickles? Well I should have and you should too!
Madeline Reaux
Lovely place. My family and I had a wonderful time. We reserved Pavillion #1.
Josh Muzatko
A 20 dollar uber ride to the quarter, super relaxed setting for such a busy town. Caught fireflies with my daughter for about an hour. Close to bayou tours, nice bath house and laundry facilities on site
J Chubb
What's not to love, big park with several playgrounds. Fishing holes, forest trails, BBQ pits, campsites, RV hookups, wave pool, cabins, boat launch, AND right next to the Westwego Fiah Market. Definitely worth the visit.
Andreas Suter
Nice place to stay for a couple weeks. We visited in the off-season so it wasn't crowded, and free showers and laundry were a bonus. Rates were reasonable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming!
Marci Garrett
It's not bad, but the mosquitos are unreal! We couldn't enjoy being outside of our motorhome because they were that bad. We were in spot 9 by the bath house and the grill and picnic table were on the wrong side of the camp site (our awning was on the left the everything was on the right). If you use the bath house to shower, you will be sharing it with tree frogs and wasps. They have speed tables and our car scraped going over them. We didn't visit or use any of the other facilities in the park so I can't comment on those.
Maia Miller
Everything was really nice! The scenery was so peaceful and serene. The cabin was very nice, clean, and way more than I expected. I plan to visit again real soon.
Yeidy Martinez
Doesn't have many attractions, the playground is currently out of order. Did not went to the wave pool area or cabins. Went to the picnic area it's okay.
Illini Trekker
Second time here love it showed up without a reservation and there was lots of openings. Close the New Orleans but far enough too. We did do the town a came back after hours one night so read more post about how you enter after hours. All site are water and electric only and are 50’ in length so it maybe tight for some. No parking on the grass.
Christopher “Poppa G” George
Pretty park staff nice sites for the most part we're level, laundry is free, the bad when it rains around the sites floods. You may not be able to use the fire pit or table.
LATOSHA BENNETT
I enjoys pinicing here with my family. There is a tented area and a restroom facility. We only had one problem: parking. If you have a large family and are not carpooling together, there are only included parking for cetain spots and I thinks it's 20 spaces with your package. Some other guess were upset when we parked near there area, but they did not have approved parking. The park staff cleared up the confusion.
Moondragyn
Its the holy land of campgrounds!!!! After experiening the worst of the worst truck stops to park our RV in while driving cross country, we drove into this place and heard angels singing, I kid you not. Absolutely gorgeous park! Very reasonably priced, amazing clean amenities (washer and dryer are included with no extra cost!) Spots are back in, not pull through, so be aware if you are towing a trailer. It's the swamp so be sure to bring lots of mosquito repellent! Those little creeps are hungry and desperate. Try to get a spot near the bathrooms if you need them because it can be scary walking around at night since there are lots of critters in the area. I will be visiting this place again every time I go to the new orleans area.
Tim and Doris Barton
The park is nice, and very wet. Bugs, of course. Park staff friendly and place is well maintained.
Nobert Estrella
This is a great place to get away. The view of the water surrounding us soothed us. The new cabin is spacious and comfortable. We are enjoying nature while taking advantage of Wi-Fi, cable, and a climate controlled, clean cabin. My wife added the last adjective.
Nathan Shroyer
Beautiful bayou and comfortable cabin
L SCOTT
I have always loved the tranquility of this place. Fishing is great either from the bank or cruising through the channels.
Imani Sundiata
Its nice to be there... But honestly its about the people you be there with. Surround yourself with good people be sure to have good memories. But all in all, the cabin were extremely nice and the bayou is really pretty in the morning and the grounds seem very well kept.
Renee Hoenigman
Great place. Easy access to both New Orleans and the outdoor. Lots to do and the best fresh seafood market near the entrance. The parkis super clean and well taken care of including the shower house .We will be back . t
SHARON SAWYER
This is a great little hidden gem of an RV, fishing, boating, water park. We like to stay here, when we visit the New Orleans area. A short, 15 minute drive to the Algiers Point ferry is the perfect way avoid heavy traffic, parking difficulties, and to get across the river to explore New Orleans. There are several good, local food restaurants around, also.
Kim Kromer
The cabins are awesome, clean, spacious, love it here. We were here for the first-time in October had to come back to spend new years on the bayou. Plan on returning again.
NarDy NarD
A bit out dated. Nothing there but space & opportunity to throw large outdoor functions. Little cover (roofs) from shade or rain. It's just all about what yu make it. Not to mention the entry fee. $3 per head in each vehicle unless their under 3yrs or over 53yrs old.
Rudy Romero
Site was good until it rained, power went out all day and was flooded. Make sure you bring misyquiot netting or spray.
Lady at the check in needs an attitude check, but would stay here again. Traffic can be a bear so if you are hauling make sure your in before 3:30.
Fire wood can be found at the Piggly wiggly as well as change for the laundry machines.
Dump station is onsite and is lit making early or late night dumps possible.
Also 30 minutes to NOLA is correct between 11am and 3:30. Before or after is a mess, #floodingisreal
Eddie Bowers
My wife fell at the boat launch. The water was high, which caused slim to be on the cement. Other people also. The launch needs a lot of work. It's been like that for a couple of years
James Madkins
Arrived after work today, area is beautiful, got a cabin deluxe, very nice, all new renovations and we sit over the water, going fishing in the morning. We'll see how the next 2 days go!
D. FRESH
Overall it's not bad it's just that they don't have sewerage hookups and I HATE DUMP STATIONS!! Also the park rangers can be ass wipes with the 5 and 15 MPH speed limit. C'mon man really?!?! Both of those issues cause me to give it two less stars. Other than that it is the safest, closest and most economical RV park in the New Orleans Metro area. I do recommend the place if you are passing through. Just be aware of those two things!!
Jozy Tanguay
Very calm and clean. The cabins are very cute a must see even if you dont rent one. The registration fee is a weird thing but free laundry and free not so good wifi. Overall good experience.
Hubert Connolly
Nice quiet park as we set up tents clean bathrooms and hot water !!
Annmarie
They have a laundymat, free to use but only 1 works. Bathroom had AC. The swimming pool area needs LOTS of work. No Good Sam's discount. NO veterans discount. Every State Park should honor their VETERANS!
Deborah Williams
Reasonable pricing! Very big campsite! Great location for New Orleans MardiGras 2020
Not the cleanest facilities. But, a lot of rain and plumbing issues at the same time...
George Turner
We stayed at the Bayou Segnette State Park on our way to Tampa. Had two wonderful days there. Will be returning for a three day stay over the St. Patrick Day weekend. Close to all the sights New Orleans has to offer.
Claudia Rodick
Great State Park, but could use some simple improvements. A lot of trees were knocked down after Hurricane Zeta ripped through the city of New Orleans. 110 mph winds and heavy rains, however, she blew through quickly. Praise GOD, because if she had slowed down, I shutter to think of the additional damage and loss of life she would've caused. Everyone lost power, but we are still here!
Craig McBride
Small but nice campground. Short hiking trails. Clean facilities
TIM LOPEZ
Beautiful park with nature sounds and scenery. Even on an overcast cloudy and rainy day its beautiful and a pleasure to run through. Always love the Run on the Bayou 10K race there and good to be back for another run.
Tray Bonilla
Tables are run down,no shade,on the driver side..#67... .ok if you just want rest and quiet. decent spacing and plenty of room. lots of mosquitoes.
Andrea F
Came here for a Veterans get together for a fish fry. Nice place, though you have to pay to get in. I don't understand because you also have to pay for the picnic space, and for the amount of people who will be there, even if not everyone shows up.
Leo Girtz
Great place to stay during the Carnival! Easy trip to down by ferry or driving. Nice well kept, quiet campground. Lots of love sites.
Nanci MacArthur
Great place to bring your RV or camp. Across the river from New Orleans. Clean, friendly and quiet. We drove 10 minutes to Algiers and took the ferry across, which lands right at the French Quarter.
Donna Segura
Great park, right in the middle of town but you would never know it! Clean facilities and great staff. A little oasis, we highly recommend!
Richard Reinhardt
30 minutes from French Quarter - great photography location.Camping and cabins- boat launch
Apparently suffered tree damage from Hurricane Ida
Eric Thomas
The bayou segnette state park is a beautiful peaceful place, until you arrive back at your cabin to have no parking spots and to be overrun by loud, obnoxious unpaying people who party all night. The reason as to why the park authority was unable to head this situation off initially is lost on me. However remaining nonconfrontational, patient paid off. We were able to resume our relaxing stay and ultimately the beauty of the parks nature shadowed out the potential dangerous, but very literal unnecessary interaction.
Sandra Lewis
Love it there.family reunion was incredible amazing.girls/ boys cabin rooms are nice for a huge family like mines.hopefully we visit again..
James Zwygart
Camping spots are fairly spaced out, but doesn't provide much privacy. Free wifi, and laundry facilities
Leroy Chauvin
Everything you could ask for in a local state park swamp setting. Hiking boating fishing and they have a wave pool. On-site camping and rental cabins.
Holland K
Fun little state park just outside New Orleans. The cabins on the water are alot of fun and wildlife is plentiful.
jasmine bucio
My family and I have gone camping in other parks but none like this one so far. WE LOVE IT! Have been here 3xs this year. MOSQUITOS! of course alot ! what do you expect!!SWAMP!! People. Very clean , bathroms, site nice lady in office. We will be going back soon!!
Greg
Spacious campground near town.
Chris Wattigney
Can't understand how ALL the cabins are empty in this beautiful weather. Probably because of the ridiculous pricing! I guess it's a bigger write off if they never rent them than it is to reduce the nightly rate. Smh. If they would drop the weekday rate to 80 a night and weekend to 100, I'm sure they could rent a lot more. Imho
Jb Mcmeans
Great place to stay. The sign in process is slow, no bathrooms at office. Good internet.
Roy F Dittler Sr
Great place and nice staff. 50A electric and water. No sewer, nice dump station. WiFi is free, but doesn't reach all the sites. Free laundry facilities.
John Monaghan
Second time in this park.
Would give 5 stars if Quebec caravan mob was not so loud and rude. Self centered and acted as though no one else was in the park.
Not the parks fault. We will be back.
Leroy Chauvin Jr.
If you are planning to use the boat launch be advised that the staging area in front of the ramps have two extremely large potholes. The holes were full of water and mud. There is no way to avoid driving through them.
Tiffany “WILD CHILD TIFF” Johnson
Park is lovely nice and clean employees are very friendly
Chris Connell
Everything is Great except the WiFi. They say they have it and that it's free, however it's so overloaded, it doesn't work. I can't send emails or browse the Internet. Takes 30 seconds or more for web sites to load IF they do at all. The only time you can get anything usable is after midnight. I have to either use my phone as a hotspot (And AT&T is very spotty here) or go across the street to McDonald's.
When we arrived we were told that the Internet bandwidth was very low and that they actively block streaming sites like YouTube and Netflix. But they didn't tell us this on the phone before we arrived. After the first day I asked them about the un-usability of the WiFi and just got a no responsibility, "We don't have anything to do with the internet."
Wifi may not be important for you, but it is for me. I work while on the road and this is a big problem for me for the two weeks I'm here. If I would of known that they essentially don't have Internet access here, I might of found another park.
On the plus side. The sites are great. Nice and level. The bathrooms are clean and the laundry is free. The downtown area is very close and the price is perfect all things considered.
Kyle Bordelon
One of the best places to get away for the holidays. Be careful of the sites with wooden decks. Many are rotten and have missing boards. We fell through them a couple times during Thanksgiving.
Nick Rudnev
Camping 15 minutes from NOLA, overall good facilities, you will hear occasional train passing in the distance. Bring bug spray :)
Jennifer Gray
Loved all the space between each rv spot. The walking trails are short. We saw a a lot of alligators along the bank. We LOVED the seafood market down the road!
JJ Dupuis
Lack of management and leadership. Stay 6days. 5 stars for the RV camping facility and 1 star only for the restrooms and shower. Dirty, dirty and dirty 6 days in a row.
Bobbie Wilson
I was with the love of my life and we grilled oysters on the half shell with a garlic butter sauce. The atmosphere, the park was absolutely beautiful and clean, and with my love, made it the perfect day.
Lawrence B
This state park is nice if you're planning on camping or visiting the wave pool. There are a few nature trails but it's not something I'd suggest going there just for.
shahid sadik
Only one entrance was open.
Park did not a large posted map. Good for picnics. Average for hiking.
LaTanya Anderson
Clean state park...great pavilions
livelife8621
We stayed here during Mardi Gras with our friends ! It’s a very nice park with nice and clean showers and FREE laundry ! No sewer hookups so the nice and clean showers are nice to have !
David Layne
Nice campground, free laundry, clean showers, 15 minutes to downtown. Pool is closed early in the week, wifi is not too fast but available.
Allyson Rezac
Plenty of open spots on the weekdays for camping. Check in staff treated us like we were children but the park is nice and would return
Vicki Russo
Very Clean Security Great for Family outings either for the Day or over night.Hook ups for campers BBQ pits Picnic Table, you can even put up a tent.Stores close by also.
Robert Campion
Good place to see alligators
William Randall
State Park? It was actually the Alario Center for a high school graduation. The facility is relatively new and kept in pretty good shape. It's just the right size for the several mid-sized schools in Jefferson Parish--too big for their own gym, but too small to justify using the Ponchartrain Center.
jamar grant
Always good for a nice getaway!
Rev Dr Frank Collins III
Really enjoyed this place the cabins are beautiful an spacious. Went fishing caught some catfish and brims. I had a really great time there.
Salvador Dalleo
The best of all world's from perch to catfish, bass to 60lb+ alligator gars. Great family experience and easy to fish. Look out for them tudalues, they pinch pretty hard so hold them with caution.
Freida Clark DeGrado
Great place to camp!
Shhboom
Cool little campground. Somewhat spacious of neighbors. Couldn't really sing Cumbayá after 10pm. Bathrooms weren't terrible but weren't super pretty either.
Tiffany Ray
So friendly, clean facilities, free washers and dryers. Will definitely rebook if ever in area again. Also have cabins!
David Hines
We have camped here before ,this time i had the pleasure of helping a new rv customer ,two sweet ladies stranded and it was time for checkout......got them fixed up fast and they were thrilled....nice clean park as always
Samuel Bechara
Beat state park
Rest rooms showers an laundry are a 10. I gave 4 stars only because they shut the water off without prior warming to Campers when my wife had just soaped her hair in the shower. She was not too happy about that
Brandon Amos
Bayou Segnette State park was a nice quiet place to camp whe I passed through New Orleans. The campground had Hot showers and a laundry room.
DreamRider
I come here often, restrooms clean, for tent camping only on the weekends its 35.00 per night. The grass is level but still sunken down.
Troy Creppel
Very disappointed ☹️ they need upgrade this place could be a nice camp ground and family outing wave pool out and pool is out come on it's summer time ....every camp site is over grass growing.
Sharky kid
I wish the pools were open all day everyday and that you can swim at the wave pool for free. Shower doors don't lock properly. Boat launch pads need to be remade and cleaned. We need bike trails.
Bill Henriques
Very nice park right off of the westbank expressway. I wish it was more patrolled at night with traffic going way too fast through the campground.
Mr. K
This is a nice park just 30-45mins from downtown New Orleans.
Just don't trust google map directions to the RV sites, the only way to get to them (before 10pm) is from the Westbank Expy and take Drake Ave. We drove in circles trying to find a way in all the while google maps was telling us to drive though concrete barriers.
Rene Laizer
I grew up hunting and fishing out on those marshes.... Have a really incredible survival story as well. Please let me know if anyone would like to hear it...
Allen Allen
Their was some confusion in the bookings ... or fault totally understand but.... worked out a deal with another camper and switched.... park police said we were messing up their computer line up.... we had you switch back.... it's a computer take my name and switch it with the guest... not so hard ... obviously it is though.... thanks
Patrick Kitchens
I remember staying here when I was a teenager it was a beautiful place all I wanted to do was say and fish I meet up with an ol friend from when I was just a little boy it was such a wonderful experience I begged my mom to leave me because I didn't want to leave I hope to return one day I cherish the memories that were made in New Orleans that was the best week of my life I sure do miss being a care free teenager in the Bayou
Tanner Woody
Clean, warn, friendly, knowledgeable, and perfect. I recommend experience backing up and voltage testers for sites. Our 50amp didn't work 😫 …
DeVrajh Solomon
The park was beautiful, very clean & peaceful and NO MOSQUITOS to pester us.The wave pool was closed on Mondays for cleaning but we're looking forward to staying there again.
Spencer S
Nice park. No sewer. Good location. But the bathrooms were filthy!! And only one working washing machine in their laundry facility
Wendy Boudoin
I like the spacious sites especially the ones with the decks. The bath houses are always very clean. Great park all around.
Pat Zeddies
Awesome park! Clean restrooms and showers. Well designed, spacious sites. Friendly host and park staff. Exceeded my expectations!
Skyler Evans
I love this park my family goes there every summer. We enjoy it there is a wave pool and you can rent boats or just fish from the porch.
David Pace
I went for my COVID-19 Test. Went through very quickly. It took longer to register online with the card they gave me onsite. I attached a photo of the form they gave me so you can fill it out in advance. It has a QR Code that you can scan to open the website or you can go to coronavirus.la.gov to fill it out and make your appointment.
terry buchanan
If visiting the French quarters in an RV, this is the place to park! Great staff, lots of amenities, shot drive, ferry ride to French Quarters Wonder about mosquitos in warmer weather.
Pat Beckerle
Nice park, good location, lots of insects.
Laura Ledet
Lovely cabins; quiet spot right on the bayou.
Rhon K
Bathroooms & laundry clean. Camp ground well maintained. Wifi poor in rv area.
Jacalyn Brabbs
Seems like parks been let go. We arrived to a flooded site with garbage strewn around the campsite watermelon rinds and more. This brought raccoon..
Terry Harris Jr

It's a great place to relax. Me and my family played all type of games. Most of the time we were outside. It is a great place to get away and bound with your family.
Sergio Cesar
Great park. Very well maintained, easy roads for big rigs. Wi-Fi exist but no internet connection.
Will come again.
LaKisha Seldon McKay
Family rented a cabin for weekend and was absolutely impressed! Will definitely do it again! The pictures of the cabins do them no justice.
Shawn Myers
Friendly staff. Easily able to socially distance and still have a nice time in a beautiful location. Recommend renting a cabin.
Daphne Saunders
I enjoyed the serenity and the peace that it gave me during a rough time 😌 ...beautiful wildlife State Park... …
Tim Burris
MY FAMILY AND I STAYED THERE IN OUR RV. IT WAS SO CLEAN. EVERYONE WAS SO NICE. WE WERE THERE DURING MARDI GRAS AND THE DRIVE TO UPTOWN AND DOWN TOWN NEW ORLEANS WAS 15 minutes. This place is just over the top.

deborah watson
Clean, friendly and the hosts on our loop (site 52) were especially knowledgeable about the New Orleans area. Our hosts even helped unload our motorcycle from the dually!
Bernel Sawyer
Lovely State Park. Electric/Water sites with lots of room between sites. Close enough to all the action in the city. But is in the country.
Lynette Ladmirault
Wonderful time, family time is always great. Property not as well kept as years ago but still a great place.

Isabelle Bourdon
Perfect spot nice showers and great park for the kids ! Sites are big and grassy ☺
Backyard DIY - Zachary
Very nice park. The only thing I didn't like is they charge to enter by person instead of by the vehicle as they do here in Michigan.
Jordan Burks
It's a nice nature reserve. It's really good seeing our indigenous wildlife like American alligators and bald cypresses
Karen LaCorte
Such a beautiful place! Hiking trails, cabins, boat launch, wave pool and so much more!
