The park has a very nice view of Milwaukee, also over looking Lake Michigan. It has a long path, suitable for biking and walking/jogging. Summer festival is also held there. There is a small beach like area, although it’s with coarse sand.

It’s a nice park with good views of downtown Milwaukee and the lake. You can park on the street, just look around for parked cars, I went on a weekday around 3pm and easily parked my car. There’s no fees to park (could be) or enter the park, restroom is only porta potty which was s-hittier than s-hitty. There’s paddle boat rentals as well, at the start. Walk is pretty fun throughout the trail, at the end there’s a lighthouse. Overall if you like peace and wanna chill, definitely go.

Very pretty park with nice pathways if you'd like to run/jog/bike/walk. I went when it was pretty cold out, so it wasn't crowded and parking was very easy. I'm not sure what parking would be like in the summer time.

Beautiful meandering park with something for everyone. View the lighthouse, sculptures, view the lake…. There is a playground, picnic areas, and bathrooms. Mondays and Wednesday are free music nights.

Neat little park. We were over the discovery park and the museum and decided to check out Lakeshore State Park. It was nice, right along the water. The park was well maintained and clean. Great views of the lake. Easy to stroll through, no rough terrain. Had a good time strolling through the park.

Lakeshore park features a great network of walking trails for exploring the area while enjoying a leisurely walk or jogging and exercising. It's a great park to bring the kids to play and enjoy a refreshing day outdoors.

Hidden gem in downtown Milwaukee. This park isn’t well known but it is worth while seeking it out. Lovely in any time of year or time of day. There is a paved trail that winds between the Summerfest grounds and the Lake. You can ride your bike or walk from the little red lighthouse near the Hohn bridge past Discovery World and the Art Museum. There are benches, a few picnic tables, porta-potties, wild flowers and scenery galore. Easy to connect to Hank Aaron trail or Oak Leaf trail. Flat all the wall along Bradford Beach to the north until the water treatment for easy bike riding. (All that isn’t in the State Park but it’s easily accessible from here. There are a few parking spots near under the Hohn bridge area usually. No fee to use this beautiful park. Enjoy!

This park is absolutely beautiful and perfectly placed near the Summerfest grounds. The paths are well maintained and there are plenty of benches to rest and enjoy the weather. I often cut through this park on my southern bike ride route and it’s always a delight.

What a beautiful urban state park. There is a nice paved trail along Lake Michigan, with views of not only the lake and downtown, but also the lighthouse and Hoan bridge. Many people were outside enjoying the beautiful weather, and the seagulls and geese seem to enjoy the park too.

Great place to go for a walk and enjoy the lake! It's usually windy, so remember to bring warm clothes. For such a beautiful spot, it seems to have surprisingly few visitors. It is a nice and quiet place to enjoy nature close to the city.

The grassland in this park is extraordinary. They are walking trails as well as a paved path that runs through the park. Great views of the lake, summerfest grounds, and there is also a beach.

Nice wide paths with plenty of room for bikes and foot traffic. Plenty of parking; some free parking available. Decent amount of benches and picnic tables. Awesome views of the lake and downtown.

Beautiful and relatively new park on the Lake Michigan shoreline. It was built between the breakwater and Summerfest grounds just South of the Discovery Museum. There's a nice little loop for a jog or a walk and a handful of good fishing spots. Parking is limited but there are lots relatively close by. Great views!

*Only state park I believe that inside a city limit and this one is very unique - plus no fee to get into the state park. Great place for a walk or bike ride but the wind off the lake can lower the temperature fast. Parking is mostly along Harbor Drive. Great views on the lake and boats coming in

I wish a place like this was in Chicago. Despite walking around downtown and feeling the heat. For some odd reason this place has a consistent cool breeze. The walks are long and very scenic. Sidewalks are free from gum, graffiti, trash, etc. A very nice park with good upkeep and respected by the public.

This park, at Discovery World, is very good for senior citizens who want to take walks and to be able to hold onto a railing. It is along Lake Michigan. At this time of year, it has perfect views of sunrises and sunsets.

Great little walk near the Summerfest Grounds. I can walk here from my place and then continue on up the lake trail to the museum. Always lots of people out walking, running, enjoying the outdoors. The loop takes about 10 minutes walking.

We visited this Park while strolling the Waterfront. It has great views of the lake and skyline. There is a beach and mini lake but the water was too cold during our visit. They also have these audio stations (don't know what it's called) where you have to spin a wheel to hear information about the Park. There are some portalets available for visitors.

Because they put so much effort into creating the prairies on this piece of land, it just gets prettier every year. There are rain gardens with blooming flowers too. There are so many places for photo ops of the city from this direction. It's convenient to summeriest grounds and discovery world. You can rent a Bublr bike just outside the park at Discovery World and bike through it all the way to Miller Park. Sometimes you'll see fox in the park. On a nice day, you can watch sailboats or the huge Denis Sullivan ship go by. A very pretty place for wedding photos too. We were here today for the Sturgeon Fest- an opportunity for releasing baby sturgeon into Lake Michigan.

Pretty location right on Lake Michigan. We were there for Sturgeon Fest on a great Autumn afternoon! This is a public restocking effort for sturgeon in the lake. Very kid friendly with lots of fun activities and even a bunch of food trucks that offer a wide variety of choices for sustenance!

We're lucky in Milwaukee to have so many parks.This weekend was not quite as nice as last weekend, when I also took a walk by the lake near the marina. This weekend I was at Lakeshore State Park for an event, to release sturgeon into the lake.
