Reviews of Griffith Park & Southern Railroad
Omg! What a cute little hidden gem in Griffith park. Honestly never came across this spot until recently and loved loved the train ride. My toddler also loved it. At first I thought I was not going to fit into the train lol. But the seat is pretty spacey and my toddler and I were able to fit into one seat. They have a snack bar but it was closed when we came on a Tuesday. Pony rides located next door.
I would give this 5 stars, but I only gave it 4 stars due to the price 7$ for the train ride that was less than 7 mins. The lights were amazing tho. But it would need more lights.
Overall, beautiful. Just go with plenty of time. And be aware of the wait.
We went for the festival of lights train ride. Good for young kids. Cute little train. But it would be better if you could purchase tickets ahead. Have to queue up twice, once ti buy tickets and then have to go to another line to get on the train was not great. It was over an hour wait on a Monday night and we got there just before they opened.
Nice place to spend a little family time with toddlers/pre teens. The pony rides are pretty cool and the train ride is an awesome feature as well. The snack bar is decent with affordable options. The petting area is small but it's perfect for younger children. Definitely would like to return during the holidays when the lights are on.
Great memories...... I remember when my PAPI & MAMI would bring us as children in the mid 70s..... I've shared this place with my kids during the 90s...... now I enjoy bringing my grandson...

Great placed to be with the family , $5 bucks for pony rides also they have a mini train it's fun only $4 I been taking my kids here sins there all baby's, and still the same only prices went up still a great placed ,
Very long ride with really cheep tickets. Toddler son enjoys it a lot.
1 mile train ride for kids and family. lighting was amazing it comes only dueing winter. dont miss next winter.
Had the pleasure of taking my just shy of 2 year old grandson to the Christmas train ride and we loved it! And yes I said we! Lol I enjoyed it probably as much as he did. If you have young one's I highly recommend. Enjoy like we did.
Travel Town has more to see with the trains on display, but coming to the southern portion of the railroad has the longer train ride available, $4 for adults. The train ride is under 10 min buts it’s a nice way to relax for a few minutes and parking is free.
Been waiting for this the entire year. We loved it
Fun ride, grounds need some updating. Priced ok.
Very friendly workers. Super cute. Not a long ride. Make sure you go when not packed! The wait can be extensive!
Train was great
Kids love it
We got a big disappointment on the pony ride
Kids could not ride them
Only 3 to 5 years old
Plus when we got here have some people with sign about ponny abuse 😒 so the kids felt kind of bad
Love it here been coming since I was a little girl. Now I bring my lil one. It's a Nice outing for family, make sure someone waits in line for to train while your purchasing tickets.
While we initially weren't going to ride the Griffith Park & Southern Railroad, I'm glad we did. It was very enjoyable for the kids, and seeing their faces was priceless. The ride is no Disneyland Railroad, but it sure beats the little ones at the mall.
This 18-½ inch gauge custom-built model railroad is a treat mostly for the youngsters. The ride runs once around popular birthday party picnic areas.
Great Place to spend the day with your family and friends. 5$ Pony rides and train rides and food concession stands with treats and food. Great for little kids! Plus the kids can feed the goats and sheep for $5. Fun place
Love this Tradition of the Railroad and Pony Rides. My parents took me when I was little and I love taking my kids now. Seems like prices haven't changed much since I was a Child either. Train ride is $2.75 and Pony Rides $5. I would gladly pay a little more because the memories we get in return are priceless.
This is a place that I've been going to ever since I was born. It truly holds a special place in my heart. My mom and I always take my autistic brother here since he loves this place so much. It's a peaceful location with very kind and welcoming staff. Kids would definitely enjoy this place, and families can throw birthdays and celebrations for their little ones as well.
Last day to see Christmas lights, and too early to enjoy it, but was fun, not many people, waiting time was acceptable.. enjoy the day with my husband and daughter.
Griffith Park overall is the gem of Los Angeles. You need days to hike and see everything. Lovely!!!!!
It was great experience,. I have a one year old and he had such a great time. Awesome place for family fun.
Train ride was only 15 minutes website said 30.. but it was cute ride
If you have special needs kids, they ride for free with an adult. My son loves it
We went for the holiday ride and it was too cute. My daughter loves trains so she was happy 😊 …
We had a wonderful time! My little one loved the train and pony rides. The animals in the petting zoo were very tolerant of all the children.
Nice quiet place for a family picnic or even nice to walk your dog read a book I highly recommend this place 👌 👍 😀 …
A great place to spend time with kids! My son loves riding the train and petting farm animals there. There is also pony riding, haven’t tried it yet.
Fun litte ride! Not to pricey either.
Friendly courteous staff, very reasonable prices on the train rides. Just as much fun as I remember from my youth, great fun for children and families who don't want to spend a lot of money for an afternoon of enjoyable outdoor activities.
My son loves this place! And for parents it’s great too. It’s not too overwhelming and the prices are excellent for a good time. The pony rides are incredibly fun for the kids, the petting zoo is a great experience full of different small farm animals, and the train and buggy ride are great additions as well! They also have a snack bar in case the kiddies need a little something. There are not too many places in LA $20 can go so far! Thank you for such an amazing time every time!
2022 update
We now have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old and this place is loved and appreciated all the same
Accidentally found this place going for a walk. Absolutely love the friendly staff and the moderate prices. Animals look very healthy and happy.
This has been one of my favorite places since I was a kid just took my son today for the first time. I say all ages can enjoy these surroundings. You have to buy tickets for all aspects of the park not sure about the pony rides I know they cost but didn't see that where you purchase the other tickets at for the train and simulator
"Come on, ride the train,
Hey, ride it, woo woo." - " C'mon Ride It (the Train), Quad City DJ's
Having some time to kill before boarding the shuttle to the Greek, I thought a thrilling ride on the Griffith Park choo choo sounded just right.
Prices are cheap for a 9 minute ride.
My caboose hardly fits in the caboose
The signs says to keep hands & feet inside cars. Doesn't specify other body parts ;p
And, a-here we go!
Oh, this ride isn't too bad
Wait, whu? Oh Gawd, we're going too fast!!!!!
AAGH! We almost hit that structure!
Oh no! I'm claustrophobic! Let me off, let me off!
Please! Please! No more!
Whew! We made it!
Quite a fun ride! A cheap way to entertain the kids (big & small). I only pee'd myself a lil ;p The horse/pony rides were closed for the day, so I didn't get to check it out this time.
Gracias, Senor conductor!
Went for the Christmas train ride! Small train seats but a nice ride around the park, early in the evening.
I have been coming here since I was a child now that I am an adult I have children of my own and now I am BringingThem here. The location has not changed much since I used to go there they have added some new decorations in new tweaks to the track to make it more appealing so that's a plus the views are nice The staff is OK prices are good If I remember correctly it was about $3 per person per ride. I enjoy this place and I will continue to come here.
There are horse rides for 1yr olds too.Its a good place to visit but horrible smell near the horses.Restrooms are not clean either.
Had an amazing and magical ride on the Christmas train. Very affordable and great for families. Merry Christmas and God bless.
As always Griffth parks awesome! Best cool green space in all of LA..I come here often...
Always a favorite. The Christmas lights are a local tradition!
Adequate. Kinda cheesy for adults but my 3 year old got a kick out of it so kudos. Right before christmas so th lights ars being set up which makes the lighting and ambiance more fun and exciting. Short lines compared to the po ny ride and less smelly
Interesting little trek with views of beautiful trees along the way. I definitely felt sorry for all the ponies held in captivity who we passed on our journey.
The people that work here are very nice! Nice little ride. Kids definatelly love it. Also if you get there early you can enjoy a little view of the petting zoo, from the train
So cute! Good price! We went twice. The kids loved it!
Fun for kids
Had a fun time with riding the train with my 5 month old, 6 year old and my partner. The train ride was long so we didn't have to wait a long time to go next. The ride itself was pleasant. Lots of greenery and plants. It was a great rate for the experience.
The pony rides look great on video, but remember there's always a smell with ponies and horses. It was quite an enjoyable and adorable to watch the little kids ride the ponies. We sat at picnic tables across the street and there was plenty of shade and grass, and of course fresh air. Griffith Park is consistently kept super clean and I've never felt unsafe there even though it's quite expansive in parts.
My boy Samuel loves coming here to ride his little train. Place is very well kept. Staff is very friendly. Best time to visit is mid week.
Super fun activity for kids and adults at a really reasonable price. I highly suggest a stop here if you are in the park.
It's always a fun experience to come here. My 2 1/2 year old loves it and it's kinda hard to take her off. Good thing is that they allow you to go multiple times without going back in line which helps. We take our daughter here at least once a month. It's a must for kids for sure. Bring snacks or they have a snack shack there with food and ice cream. Come early as it does get busy as the day goes on. We get there when they open. I suggest buying the group package to save cash.
Early arrival. Great way to kickoff the season.
Great place for the little kids. I heard it was very busy and had a long line in the weekend. So I took my daughter on Friday and there was no waiting time and fees are very reasonable. If you go with a numbers of friends/relatives, I would like to suggest that you get a group ticket to save the $$.
The place is fun for kids, the only ride we used was the train, the horses are ok but the waiting time was too long. Maybe next time for the horses. It usually takes about two hours here and then move on to the carousell
Took my granddaughters there and we had a blast! A must visit for children and adults alike. Negative side is the animal rights group. Annoying as hell!
Loved spending time here with my daughter. She loves horses so of course we had a great time. Train ride is relaxing 😁 …
lots of parking. safe place to park
My husband and I chose the Holiday Festival of Lights Train Ride, which is a very quick but fun holiday event for kids from 1-92! Very family friendly but there are no pets allowed other than licensed and trained serviced animals (they may ask for proof for insurance purposes). NO EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS.
From singing trees that are synced to holiday classics and newer Christmas songs , vendors selling lighted, spinning and flashing souveniers to Santa inflatables, light tunnels lined with Nutcrackers, candy canes, Santa's Village - there is something for everyone at this event.
There is a section of this that is very reminescent of the DWP Festival of Lights which was an annual holiday event for many years. We were lucky enough to see a coyote running across the trees.
As tickets are limited, I would recommend visiting the box office during the day to purchase a ticket for the day you wish to see it. You also have the advantage of seeing the exhibit in daylight. However, the box office is open from 5 until maximum capacity is reached. If you choose this option, you should arrive early. You will wait in line, but it goes very quickly.
There are photo opportunities at the Holiday Photo Village but you must purchase a ticket - $2 per person.
Overall a wonderful experience. There is color, shape, plenty of lights, reindeer - great way to experience the train ride and see the park at night. Very vibrant place worth the drive to see! You can have this experience until January 7, 2022.
although it's oriented towards kids, who says an adult can't ride these miniature trains? in a world full of online activities, a nice ride out in the real world is a relaxing alternative.
Very friendly staff. My three year old had a really great time on the train, great value.
It's a long route for a small train. Has a lot of scenes laid out along the way. Kids love it. Well set up for crowds. The line stays small and goes quickly given they have 2 trains. It's stayed that way even in the pandemic with extra spacing.
What is. It to love it a great price & fun!!
I went with a friend we were the only adults without children lol and it was a enjoyable ride...
I just went with my 20 months daughter last week and she had too much fun ridding the ponies.. Price is good $5 for each ride, I was able to walk along with her during the ride.. I thought she was going to be little bit nervous, but she got comfortable wanted to keep riding couple more times. I definitely recommend this place for toddlers.
Such a cool place to bring the kids. The train ride is surprisingly long (which was great!) and the pony rides were a huge hit with the kids.
We love the train ride it is for all ages.
Love coming here with my nephew...he loves riding the train ..
I love taking the kids here! Tickets are $5/person. It's a nice long ride. Just bundle up because it does get chilly.
Price are perfect and pony rides next door
Love bringing my kids here, I just wish they had better bathrooms and that they kept it a bit cleaner overall. Also would rate higher if the food stand options consisted of at least one or two vegan things. Otherwise it's fun and affordable for pony rides with at least three riding levels, starting as young as infant stage to early teens. The train ride is also fun, especially during their Christmas light show, except the line can get a little insane.
This is a cute little train station for toddlers and little kids. My toddlers had a great time and got so excited to see and ride the train. The prices are cheap and the employees are nice. I definitely recommend taking your kids here.
My daughters love to go here because of the hoses
Best train ride ever I have seven grandchildren my oldest is 24 now I took her there when she was 4 now I visited with my littlest he is 14 months and he absolutely loved it
My grandson had a blast on the train so we went a few times. Nachos were delicious although the churros we're a bit stiff . Will definitely go again.
This is one of our son's most favorite places to go. He always looks forward to seeing Edgar and Roy, his favorite conductors...they are such warm and kind people and they always make him feel like he's a celebrity! It's truly their welcoming personality and the genuine joy that they project that makes the experience so wonderful for us each and every time.
We took our grandson Danny to Griffith Park for him to experience the train ride. We all enjoyed it. It was fun. Reminded me of rides of back in the day at Knott's. We left for home back to Alhambra, While ending our fantastic day with a quick visit to McDonald's. The Moral of the story is live life to the fullest one day at a time because tomorrow's not promised... it's granted.
Great place for kids to ride the Pony($5) and Train($2.75). Weekend was little bit crowded.
Pony rides were super fun, a bit of a wait 15-30 min. For kids small to big
Came here with my family , and we rode the train for our very first time. It was amazing! 3$ entrance was definitely worth the price , my 8 month old baby girl loves the train ride and scenary. Train drive was very nice . Great customer service . Beautiful area to be in . If you haven't made it this way yet with your family , defiantly would recommend . If you get there in the mornings lines aren't long. There is pony rides that are there for the children and you can tell the animals are treated well, they have misters for them to stay cooled down . Love this place . The park around there is also a beautiful scenary to drive. This place is my sanity.
Really nice little spot, great place to take the kids. Some vendors are cash only.
Train ride is about 6 mins long its some fun took my wife and kid tix are only $3.50 for adults and kids older than 19months were $3.00
It's a fun little place. We came for the Christmas night train ride. The train ride was short, maybe ten minutes. It's slow and while some of the displays are nice it isn't breathtaking. If your kids are into trains it's neat but not a lot of razzle dazzle. There was a concessions stand with hot chocolate and cotton candy my kids enjoyed. We got there at opening and didn't have to wait too long, but we had part of our group in the ticket purchase and part in the line to ride. When we left the line started looking pretty long, so go early. Now if they could move this train to inside the zoo.. that would be something.
The mini train is big enough for me and my five year old son in one 'car' and I'm 6'2".
I went here with my wife and son to check out the Holiday Train Ride. It was really cool to see the place decorated with Christmas Lights while taking a ride in the train. The ride lasted about 10 minutes, and some parts of the ride were near the horses, so if you are sensitive to that horse/barn smell, be forewarned. Taller individuals may find the seating uncomfortable, I am 5' 9" and my knees were almost touching the seat in front of me.
My kids love here, to bad on the weekends too many people. But in weekdays is good to go if you have a day off.
Not overly impressed. Attractions were very spread out.. better for locals
❤💯 …
Great, fun location to escape the city and take a short train ride with the little ones. I go almost weekly and love seeing my nephew's smile each time.
The train ride is actually longer than I expected. My daughter loves going over the bridge and through the tunnel. My mom used to bring me here when I was little and it has hardly changed at all. In a world where things are always changing and old things disappear it's amazing that there are still some experiences from my youth that I can share with my daughter just as they were back in the old days.
Nice place for the whole family, the kids will love it. Free parking.
Cute little ride for the family to enjoy.
I wouldn't recommend sitting near the front there are alot of fumes.
Always love the atmosphere here..I'm glad Mr. Griffith did something good for our city by preserving a little bit of nature in such a busy city. My son calls this his "journey train". You can always go for a short hike anywhere in the park. Come check it out I'm sure you will find something you will like and you will get some fresh air 😊.
My kid loves this place and so do I!!! Bonus that it’s right next to the Pony Rides! We get to ride the train around a super cute track and he rides the pony and, depending on the day planned, we ride the train again or just have a picnic.
Completely worth it for kids under 5. The nearby playground is modern and very cool too.
Big park in Los Angeles. We bring our bikes but we couldn't use it with my 7 years old boy. So I stayed with him at the railroad area. My teenagers went to ride and found a little stepped the route. Next time we will plan a better way to enjoy this beautiful place.
My kids loved coming here. We had never been. Definitely coming for the holidays to ride the train when it is decorated for christmas. Inexpensive and free parking, cant beat it for a cheap outing with the kids.
Cute and easy train ride. About 10 minutes long. Perfect for toddlers. Afterwards we rode the ponies right next door. Train ride $3.50. Pony ride $5. Weekday isn't busy and easy to park at the designated parking lot..
Go to the OLD ZOO. It's an amazing remnant of what used to be the zoo and there are old cages to play around in with kids, take photos, etc. It could get a bit spooky at night so venture towards the Griffith Observatory when the sun goes down to see the stars and the LA skyline. There are lots of hiking paths, lots of playgrounds, great grassy areas for picnics, and it's so huge that you will always find something cool to do there.
We have been here several times for hiking trips and nature walks. the facility has a lot of great infrastructure like picnic tables, BBQs, play structures for the kids and of course a lot of great hiking trails. Most of them are pretty steep so choose carefully if you have young children or older family members. We wanted to walk up to the Hollywood Sign, we did not realise just how big Griffith Park was. Wow what a view from the top. Thoroughly enjoyable and well appointed with trails, highly recommended if you want to get out of the hustle and bustle and get some excercise.
My grand LOVED the train ride. I enjoyed it myself!!! So cute!
It was beautiful and definitely a great way to spend a sunday or saturday. Especially for kids! And is very affordable.
Remembering my first time going here was with my boyfriend his parents and three boys for the first time. Enjoying are time getting to see his boys enjoy Griffith Park & Southern Railroad Park was not only the look in their eyes. As they get to be kids John, Zack and Daniel faces especially since Zack has always loved Trains since I could remember stories my boyfriend, his parents will tell me I always think of the Trains passing by as My Niece's are fond of the Trains just like everyone Dreams of becoming a Professional Train Engineer working Railroad One Day. I'll make sure my boyfriend 2nd oldest son Zack Dreams come true in becoming a Professional Railroad Train Engineer when he grows up to become an adult as he always talking about Trains.
Great place for kids, it is small but kids will have a great time. They accept credit cards, prices are good, is a fun place.
This area (Southern Railway) has a very small petting zoo, pony rides, and a one-lap train ride. Not much room to picnic or let the kids run around. We actually preferred Travel Town in Griffith Park, about 10 minutes away.
Love this place
Fun place.. kids love it... great churros!
Fun experience for the kids. I feel they could add few more decorations to make the experience better.
Awesome place to enjoy with family and friends. Good for all ages. Amazing train ride. Blessed to enjoy it during the holidays. I encourage you to share the deLightful experience. Come early, sells out quickly.
This is definitely a good quick spot to bring the kids so they can enjoy themselves if it's not the miniature train then the pony rides will do the trick all in all it's definitely worth the smiles
Simple fun ride for small kids. Plenty of free parking. They decore for Christmas. Be sure to pass with the little ones. Cheap tickets $2.50 to help keep it running. Has been there for decades.
I’ve been coming here since I myself was I child and recently took my 1.5 yr old for the first time and she loved it. $3.50 for adults, kids under 19 months are free.
The more hidden side of Griffith park. Plenty of parking, less people, and just as fun. I love the train ride here and it's a reasonable price and there's not much wait. Definitely a gem, come if you have time when you go to Griffith Park.
My friends and I do some hikes here from time to time. Be careful at night considering we had to fight off some Coyotes which was way too similar to Liam Neeson in the Grey for our liking. However, the view is always worth it no matter what kind of Adventure you end up in at Griffith Park. Don't drink in public or smoke a ciggy here though because the Rangers will get you in trouble for that. However, this is the best damn nature escape there is in Los Angeles. A must for travelers and locasls alike.
We are from the valley and stumbled upon this place in search of doing things with our younger two kids due to being in the area for the day. THEY LOVED IT!!!.
Had the most awesome time in December going through tunnel of Christmas lights and many other features along the train ride and food available and on regular seasons it’s fun to enjoy a nice train ride with kids and nice staff!!! It’s not expensive.
Great experience for me and my boy. It's clean and nice what else can you ask for in LA
A lot of Christmas lights and pictures with the grinch
Great place to take the kids. Prices are affordable for the train ride and pony rides.
Really awesome for the kids. Loads of fun since you can enjoy it with them. Cheap tickets. Plenty of parking. Gets busy on the weekends especially the horse rides.
This place is gave me one of the most cherished memories of my childhood I recently rediscovered this place on accident and got off to look around for a while I remember asking my mother and father if they remembered taking me to a place that had a lot of trains as a child I was fascinated with Thomas the train and this place just left a memory I’ll never forget I remember coming here only twice but it’s just how I remembered it☺️ can’t wait to bring my little one here one day and happy to know it’s still running
Great for little ones. $3 Train & $5 pony rides. You can bring your own lunch and have an outdoor picnic
My parents took us here when we were little and I have fond memories of this place.
Went back not that ling ago and it seems to be running the same as back in my day.
Good to see.
Great for families.
This experience was so awesome. Workers here are very respectful and nice. The Train ride was super relaxing, nice, and worth the price.
Enjoyed the visit with my niece to see the train, simulator, and horses. Luckily there's barely a crowd during the weekdays.
I love to go outdoors and do some Hiking and explore the parks and see the beautiful LA view
And think how great the day is🥰 …
Dude they have a simulator ride it's awesome and the train ride is so cool.
This place brings back many memories, the train ride was so cool back when I was a little kid.
Nice place to go with young kids, 3 to 10 years. The train ride is entertaining for the little ones, though a bit cramped for full sized adults.
This is just gem of Los Angels, if your from out of town with children you must come enjoy the park, with train rides, pony rides, petting zoo, all for a small fee, it's a family place for sure.
It was fun for me and my little cousins I wonder how the horses are so tame some times
Cute train ride, always a fun time. Ponies also nearby and a snack shack. Plenty of parking.
We love taking our son. Been going for years and we don't plan on stopping..
cant wait for this to reopen.. we always bring the kids here and have a great time. Its especially for 6 and under.. such a great experience for the little train lovers.
$3 for kids $3.50 for adults quick 5 minute ride. My 4 year old had a great time!
A lot of fun for the whole family for a reasonable price. The ride seems around 5-10 mins and goes through a few differnt displays to make it fun.
Such a pleasurable day the train ride was so much fun bring back memories of my younger year's
Great for small kids!
Love it great place to take your kids or die hard train fans..cool mini train the whole family can ride
Long line but fast attrition!
Very beautiful ride ..relaxing for parents :)
Wish it was like 2 times around the path. So much green. So much fun!
Always a fun place. $3. Per ride
bring your kids and be a kid snd ride
with them ! real fun .
My son and I had so much fun! He finally was able to go on a train ride!
Very family friendly place and its FREE!
This place is always popular with young kids and seniors. Christmas lights are especially nice. Pay attention to the sets to catch little details here and there.
My 2 yr old liked it. Should be more fun with lights
Cane to the Christmas ride. God bless this place is for all to enjoy during holidays and Christmas time. The happy faces for the kids is all worth the wait.
Very fun, relaxing place, for $6 all ages kids can ride ponies and horses. Fun train ride too.
Super fun for the kiddos. Lit up at night, for the holidays.
Fun ride for the kids and family we enjoy going her
Very fun, we did train ride twice, pony rides twice and the petting zoo👍🏻😁 …
it's fun but not really good views
It’s nice place to take your kids but they need more attractions.
very fun, longer ride than you would think and you might see a coyote lounging around too.
If you are not afraid of too many people in one place, go there and you'll have a great time. Line are long but goes pretty fast.
WoW please go this is Vintage for me at my age I was happily surprised 😀 the Pony rides are still alive and well for the Children to experience …
Cute and friendly service. Could use more decorations but still lived it.
Great place to take your kids and enjoy train ride, pony ride and other animals.
They take credit card and cash. Super fun to do after you ride the ponies. Plenty of parking on the weekdays.
Beautiful atmosphere lots of fun very cool make sure you come bundled up
After all these years my kids always enjoy themselves. I think that they could invest in more things to look at on the train ride.
Really fun experience and priced fairly so all families can enjoy!
4 bucks for the train Christmas lights from 5pm to 8pm
Used to come here as a kid with my dad. Now brought my husband and daughter.
Its a nice ride for all.
My son has autism and absolutely love trains but is terrified of horses. I want them open the train rides!!!
Grand kids had fun
Personal experience was nice cuz my daughter enjoyed it, the train and the horse ride was nice and fun....
As a young boy I remember riding the Union Pacific modelled replica, that was 1967, had a great time back then, thanks dad for the great memories!
great place to spend the afternoon
Prices is ok just wished the ride was a little longer and the view a lil more pleasant.
Train ride fun for the holidays.
Great prices! Ride my children enjoyed for any time of the year.
Kinda dirty :/ bathroom was pretty bad. Everything's dusty and covered in spider webs! Train ride was ok. Not very maintained. :(
$3.50 for adults and $3 for children. It's a short loop but still fun.
Its a nice little break when the keeps need to burn off some energy and the train rides are so cute!

My kids had fun and it was only $5 i will go next year
Affordable little place wish the stores were open though 😕 …
Most beautiful place off the 5 freeway in Los Angeles. Deer, coyotes, Carousel, and good people.

Cheap rides, exciting for children. Close to 5/134 freeway. Ample parking.
It was fun 😊 …
My son loves to come, we all enjoy the train ride.
Great little park to take your child on a small train ride.
Dated displays. The ride-on train is the same as elsewhere in Griffith. Not enough trains to go in. No food. Limited shade.
train spree! stone cold ice cream paired with the "one-ofa-kind" engines here... priceless ! Google SafeSearch
My toddler absolutely loved the train. Such a treat for my wife’s birthday.
The trains are awesome but there aren't a lot of trains where you can go in and see inside
Beautiful place to hang out with friends and family 😊💕 A place to eat and close to Los Angeles Zoo. …
Small, but great for little kids. Good price and great fun!

A little crowded but worth the wait for the train!
My kids love coming here!
It is always nice to take the kids to the park for a family picnic.
My two year old daughter love the train ride and the pony rides. I will come back again.
Great place to stop by when you're at Griffith Park, always a family favorite.
Train ride is good but the food stall outside sell crappy food. Specially Snow Cone was ridiculous.
The Griffith Park Pony Ride has been making children’s dreams to ride a pony a reality since 1948.
Toddler loved the train ride, petting the goats/rabbits and riding the pony.
Always a nice time with the family ♡

I like it 👍 …
Love it!!!
nice place
Magnificent
Great little gem in Griffith Park.
To be honest, I expected something more. About 5 minutes in time. Adult ticket $4, children $3. The wow effect was neither in children nor in me. 😔 …
Short but cute train ride and. Very affordable.
Very good food
We had a fun time.
You can enjoy the time with a little train.
Instagrammable.🤣
Almost 5-7mins long, not that short!
18 months younger-free. Kids $3, adults $4
Compared to the $4 price range, it has a very long choo choo choo width.
A toy stall that evokes nostalgia from childhood.
It was worth taking pictures, and there was an animal experience next to the train, so I saw a lot of horses.
There is also a playground nearby, so go there if you have kids!
It's a good place for 3-5 year olds to spend 1-2 hours~
Ride prices are $3 for children and $4 for adults.
My son loved the experience of riding a pony, although the weight limit is 110 pounds if you want to bring your child, 5 dollars for 2 laps seems fine to me. The place is super quiet and familiar
Not very much during the day, I think it’s more beautiful in the evening)) ride a train 5$ adult)
How beautiful it is, we always come at Christmas, it's worth waiting for even if the line is long, and time goes by quickly, especially for children, all full of Christmas lights and decorations, very nice and pleasant for families.
A very beautiful place to spend a family moment
To enjoy with the children and I took my granddaughter for a walk and we had a great time.
Spectacular. An incredible view of the city. Really beautiful. Suggestion to arrive late at night to enjoy it to the 100.
There is no variety of fun but it is very satisfying to distract children for a while.
Very fun especially for the little ones to see their happy faces are priceless
Nice place for children's recreation, ideal for distraction
I love the ride on the train, the tour is very cool 🥰😘
I loved
My 2-year-old daughter really enjoyed the train ride, it's relaxing
Very good place to have fun 😁
The small train is four yuan for adults and three yuan for children. It can take a long way, which is not bad. Drop by for a bit of fun, but not worth a special trip.
2022/7 tourists, must come with children, cheap horseback riding and long-distance small trains
Nice place, reasonable prices, and a warm atmosphere.
Good service I loved it
A great place for family
very nice to walk
excellent family atmosphere
