Such a beautifully kept park! We had lunch at the Lodge, and was surprised to see it was a gourmet buffet! The food was full of flavor and our server was great. The mountain views out of the huge windows just added to our incredible lunch experience! We did the trail to the summit, which was easy and clearly marked. There was some pretty steep sections to it though, no matter which way you decide to go up. We even seen some cute lil chipmunks along the way. After lunch we enjoyed some of the overlook sections, and headed off to our next destination. We will come back again when we can spend more time here.

Amazing scenery with fantastic camp grounds and visitors center. If you want deep wilderness and picturesque vistas this is the best Arkansas can offer. Like most state parks there needs to be some modernization with their maps, info boards, and online presence but once you make it to your destination you won’t be disappointed. Insider tip: Highly recommend the browns camp ground cliff trail out to the communication towers. Awesome relatively flat trail that wraps the cliff side.

I wanted to show cabin #4 which is a dog friendly cabin at Mount Magazine. This is a single bed room cabin with great accommodations. The couch has a hide a bed if there are more people to stay. You only need to bring food and hiking gear. The rest is provided in the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin for those who have dogs. They have a lomit of only two dogs. Our Boston Terrier, Oliver had a great time exploring. The lodge has a restaurant and swimming pool. The cabin has a hot tub which was great after a day of hiking. Overall, I would have stayed longer if more days were available. Respectfully, Richard and Robbie

Such a wonderful place with all views that will make you forget everything and wanted to stay there for long time. Mount Magazine state park has so many driveways where you can see many fall colors and enjoy the views. If you go to Visitor centre you can take map and do trekking or go on your car and see the colors. Just remember to download the google offline maps as you don’t get any signals. Even the road seems a bit high curves need careful driving.

Mount Magazine state park is a must visit on your trip to Arkansas! We took the Signal Hill Trail . Due to the weather the view from top wasn't so great at first, but we enjoyed the trek. We got to spot some Deer on the way. From here, we went to Cameroon overlook drive, now this is absolutely stunning . You get some of the best views of the park, and is a great place to spend some quality time.

We love it up here. The lodge is gorgeous. The food in the restaurant is good and the service is great. You can't beat the views. My daughter loved the Ruben and we all love the burgers. The pizzas are a little spendy--$26 for a large pizza (they only have one size), but it does taste sooo good and it's LOADED with cheese and toppings. I highly recommend you add this stop on your trip.

Was told the time to visit here is spring. When the blooms and the bears are coming out. The views are spectacular. Didn't visit the lodge, it just to busy. Cameron Bluff drive was worth the trip here. Limited cabins & camping. Not sure about the lodge. Seems like horseback riding, biking, and hiking are the main to dos here. Will be back when the weather is nicer to hike up Signal Hill Trail and stand on Arkansas' highest point and watch for bears.

The Lodge is beautiful and I wish I had booked it earlier but next time we'll stay there. Plenty of hiking trails leading off the Lodge parking lot, my favorite being the one that is right by the Lodge walkway in the back that says "Not a trail". Follow this down to one of the most stunning views in AR. Be careful as there are no fences or anything keeping your pets or kids from falling off the cliff. Highly recommend you visit the overlook in my photo. Can't remember the name of the trail it's on...

Such an amazing place to visit. Epic view, awesome hiking trails.
Got a great buffet for 17 bucks, delicious BBQ.
Great place for a night's stay as well.
Paul French
The Lodge is wonderful, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are large and appear well maintained. The location cannot be beaten with views to the south across the valley (see pic).
Now the negatives. You are at least 20 minutes away from everything. The restaurant and bar shut at 8pm. The rooms do not stock tea, so bring your own. Room keys seem to fail regularly and it can be a trek to recode them from some rooms.
Arkansas still has dry counties and the hotel enforces the local rules. Bring your favorite beverage and enjoy it on your balcony.
Overall a wonderfully peaceful place with some minor inconveniences that are negated with foreknowledge.
Gary Gornowicz
A real gem. Go to the top of Magazine Mountian. The visitor center is one of the best you find. Great educational dioramas, it has a butterfly garden out back behind the fireplace. When we visited there were at 25 butterflies visiting the wild flowers. Lots of picnic areas, plenty of parking. Didn't get a chance to check out the lodge, however it looked great and the cabins where just gorgeous. The views were some the best mountain views in the United States. The highest point in Arkansas. This is a part of the Boston mountains and the Ozarks over looking the Petit Jean River Valley and Ouachita mountains to the south. The hang gliding ramp and launch is busy and the flyers don't have a problem with visitors watching or asking questions. There is an amphitheater and plenty of motorcycle parking as well.

I loved everything about this place, from the food to the view from the restaurant. The restaurant itself has a stunning sunset view. An beautiful view of Mount Magazine can also be enjoyed from one of the hotel's locations.
Judy Carriker
We went during the fall (early October) . The colors of leaves are starting to change. There was only one scenic overlook that had been properly taken care of. The view was breathtaking.

One of our regular spots to go, and share with friends and family when the are in town. Good hiking and biking trails. Beautiful views. Great are to either exercise or unwind.
Kim Rivers
Wonderful drive and beautiful views.
It's been 30 years since I last came to visit.
A few things have been built. Hope the Beauty of this mountain is protected , so not much more will be built up here. Nature is peace.
Rosie
We absolutely loved Mount Magazine! So peaceful and relaxing. Great views to see the sunrise and sunset. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway I highly recommend coming here. We definitely will be back!
Dayna Kendall
A beautiful place to stay! Book ahead as it's difficult to get rooms or cabins. It's that good! A spectacular drive! Several points of interest with amazing views!
Jon Bird
Honestly, it was pretty just not what I had it planned out in my head to look like. The cabins and hotel have a beautiful view. We were very excited to stay until we seen the price. The small town just from the park was absolutely horrible!!! All in all we drove five hours one way and I was let down. I can say without a doubt we won't be back.
Jason Oneal
The views and the awesome rangers/staff get this a 5 star. With that said, our favorite and what we thought was the prettiest trail is not an official trail. go to the office and ask for a map of the dripping springs trail.
Tandi Wootton
This place is absolutely beautiful !!!
I love taking a drive up here for the beautiful view & Especially in a fresh snow ❄
The whole entire place glows with beauty and is majestic
Rho M.
Unique museum. Large gift shop. Helpful rangers. A beautiful lodge to take in views of mountains & water. Several observation areas to see the Ozarks. Much to see and do!
However, two trails recommended to us didn't pan out: The NORTH RIM TRAIL we hiked in one mile (recommended by the office) for a great view was all overgrown + you can tell the trail hasn't been hiked much so the overgrowth on it was pretty thick in spots (which meant more spiders). Perhaps hiking the entire trial may have one find some views, but we turned around & drove to another trail.
Then we decided to hike one of the short trails to the mountain PEAK, but the main trail head we were told to take was locked up with a gate and the trail looked unused for some time. We drove around to the other side of the loop to find another way up that was a little longer and steeper than the main trail head (if I recall correctly). JUST FYI.
Kyndal Saverse
I had such a wonderful experience during my stay. There were amazing trails and scenery at every stop. Very comfortable and well equipped!
Laron Deen
It's one of my favorite places to go to and through. My Arkansawyer blood flows so much better when I am high in the mountains. Not high like that! High like in altitude! We were not taking time to stop at every point of interest. We didn't have time for that. The good thing is, I can go back next week, or even tomorrow if I want. I did take a few photos to share with you. When you go, take a few to share with me. When God made Arkansas, He was thinking of us. As you enjoy His creation, think of Him, and give Him thanks for both of us.
Robert Holloway
I was there for radio tower maintenance so my review is strictly of its beauty and wildlife.
Great views and saw a lot of deer. Would've to come back and seen the park for leisure.
Paul Neal
Awesome ride today. Really nice veiws, very clear this morning. Had lunch at the lodge. First time there. Great food ( Saturday lunch) Smoked leg qtrs, pulled pork, beef short ribs. Corn on cob, green beans, potatoes and Salad and to many dessert dishes.
Wife and i plan to go back often. Also have alcoholic beverages there.
Check on renting a cabin..
Michelle Powell
Most beautiful state park in Arkansas. Lodge, restaurant, trails, views… everything is amazing!
Frances Carroll
Had a few hours to explore the park in February. Even with the trees leafless, the post sunset views from the Outlook Loop were stunning. Signal Hill is the shortest summit I’ve ever embarked on - highest point of Arkansas. Trails were rocky, and I wasn’t too impressed with how close they hugged the state park roads - but perhaps that wouldn’t be as noticeable when the trees have leaves.
Nicholas Brasher
Went on a ride with a few friends and even after living here most of my life the scenery is still breathtaking and awe-inspiring! I have never seen the roads or overlooks in anything other than near pristine condition which speaks to the level of investment the park puts in. We stopped and had lunch at the lodge restaurant which was tasty and relaxing. I was impressed with their dedication to keeping everyone safe with their Covid protocols. Definitely plan on making the ride again soon.
Lord Jupiter
Number 9 on my list of high points! Great views. Nice short trail. Afterwards stop by the Lodge and eat, pretty decent buffet and also more great views!
General Remodeling USA
We drove more than 8 hours to get there but every minute worth... We loved it, the rustic look inside, the pool with the perfect temperature, the restaurant with a kids friendly menu. Definitely will back soon.
shane mccollom
I came in late, the park was covered by a huge cloud, could see more then two feet in front of my car. The buildings at the park were well lit. The staff at the Lodge was so polite and helpful. Got me a primitive camp site arranged and a park map in my hand. When I awoke In the a.m. I was surrounded by a clean, well maintained park. The vault toilets were clean and stocked. I enjoyed amazing hiking trails and awesome wildlife. On the way out I stopped at the visitor center that filled me in on the History of the area. I will be back for a multi day visit soon!
Doug Ballinger
Beautiful place. We were camping and enjoyed the hiking
Carol Kay
This place is beautiful. Had lunch and it was ok. The waiter was awesome but the kitchen was slow and didn't get the order right
Raymond Selken
Beautiful area with awesome views. First time up here. Lodge and resturant met up to my expectations. Buffet was the only option in the restaurant, it was BBQ, and was pretty good.
Jenny Church
The drive in was beautiful! Lots of hiking trails. Coming in the off season meant the campground was nearly empty. Shower house was nice and clean. Visitor's center & lodge were staffed with friendly, helpful people.
Jason Faris
Great views from the road, the scenic outlooks, as ND at the lodge itself. The hang glider launch area ha a great view!
Brett Freeman
Mount Magazine is amazing!! The views from the cliffs and the amphitheater are awesome.
Matthew Bracken
I rate 3 star because it has so much more potential. A good place for a short hideaway at the lodge or campground. The trails are okay and can provide several hours of natural wonder and photo opportunity. The little town of Paris is a nice place to stop by while 'venturing the area.
Amber Crane
Was a foggy weekend but gorgeous place, can't wait to go back
Brandy Stewart
Such a beautiful park!! We hiked a few of the trails and watched the sunset Cameron Bluff Overlook. 10/10 recommend.
Marina Phoenix
I always love coming to there lodge once in a while for lunch, coffee, or to bring out of town guests. The wait staff in the restraunt have always been amazing. The food is so good and always consistent. My family decided to go to the Thanksgiving dinner there one year and I think it's going to be our new tradition. This place is so beautiful.
Rhonda McCool
We were blanketed completely in clouds. It was beautiful.
Kathleen Schroeder
Awesome, Outstanding, Award Winning Experience my husband Lee just had at the AR convention Wednesday 10/5-10-7. Room was Presidential! Food was the epitome of fine dining & service was superb! Savannah Rose was exceptional with her service at the front desk! We felt like Family Royale! We will be back! Choose this resort lodge! You will NOT be disappointed! Thank you Savannah and all your team there at the lodge! A round of applause for you all!!!
Janie Higgins
Mount Magazine is a spectacular and magical place. The well-appointed lodge sits overlooking a breathtaking vista of the Ouachita Mountains. The Lodge itself is tastefully decorated, the grounds clean and well-groomed, with a good restaurant and friendly wait staff. Trails are safe and maintained with excellent, dramatic views.
Melanie Kramer
We stayed in a suite... It was perfect for our family! The fireplace was cozy ... The pool is huge and everyone had fun!
The restaurant in the lodge is very good... We definitely want to come back!!!
Ruthie Jones
Don’t miss this beautiful spot! We didn’t get to stay because we were just passing through, but it’s a place I would definitely return! Gorgeous views, hiking trails, camping, or lodging. The visitors center was very nice too
Mary Raymo
I was very disappointed in the service. Only offered drink refill when they brought the check. Food was okay but went there for the ambience.
Kim Bomar
The assistant manager was and is wonderful and helped our table with drinks and the bill. The wait staff and the young hostess treated us as though we weren't there. Not one waiter ever came by our table by the window, but every table around us was served while we sat there and watched them get refills. Only until Christine, the assistant manager, came by did we receive any recognition. Besides the assistant manager and the busman, everyone else actually sucked.....
Ree Brewer
We had such a great time here as always! Came last year with my group and we had a blast too. Stayed for 2 days 1 night and the beds were very comfy. Loved the hot tub and pool area we had a lot of fun and relaxation from the stressful week previously. The lobby area with all the chairs was really pretty and I enjoyed seeing the breathtaking views. The clouds even came in and covered everything which was actually really neat to see! The staff were very kind and helpful when we asked questions (thank you also for putting up with the loud kids we brought along!) The trails were beautiful and loved all the nature we experienced. It's a great place to escape to and find some peace when your life is so chaotic and I can always count on a good time here ❤
Keith Duerk
Great place to go camping and hike.
Louise Thorne
We rented the 3 bedroom cabin with 6 folks. It was fantastic. Very roomy, beds great and the view was amazing.
Dillon Slaten
Mount magazine is one of my favorite state parks, and it's one of the most beautiful in the state! If you like hiking this is the perfect place, lots of hiking trails! One of my favorites is the high point hiking trail. And if you are camping the night sky is amazing! Don't forget to look up at the stars! Be careful driving up on the mountain at night lots and lots of deer so drive slowly.
philip jones
Yeah we were there under difficult circumstances anyway, because the roads were asked over and snowed in. We were going to stay for 3 days and it ended up staying for six. And I am absolutely glad we did we enjoyed the three days we were stuck there more than we did the three we had scheduled.
Jeff Reece
Beautiful scenic area. Its hard to find anywhere with more nature and beauty than this. I love coming to this place. And if you're in the area stop by Cove Creek Supply for some good food and supplies.
Sarye Al
Amazing, have no words for this beautiful place, God's creation. There are many hiking trails you can take and they are so rewarding because they lead you to beautiful lookout points all around the mountain. All varying difficulty levels. Also if you don't like to hike and explore, or for some reason can't walk much, there's many areas you can reach by car and see the amazing views this place has. One of those areas is the amphitheater and surroundings. The lodge is Recomended and it worth it. They have a restaurant that is really good. Have daily specials at 5 pm. Go to the visitor center they will provide you with maps, they are supper friendly if tou want to ask any questions. Beware of the bears!
Zachary Lawson
Went to Mt. Magazine this weekend with the family, just happened to have a car show that day. The view on blue mountain lake is gorgeous and the trails around the top of the mountain are fun for the whole family. The drive is very nice not a lot of sharp turns with several really nice views along the way
chad skabronski
It was fun as always! Call ahead and make sure your rig will fit in. Lots of trails and think there is a at trail since I seen many at.
Manoj
The beauty of Arkansas never stopped to amaze me including this one. We wanted a campsite with water but only RV sites have water. We took it as bathhouse also only in the RV campsite area. There is no park entrance fee. The views are better in primitive camping areas. However all the beautiful trails and views are easily accessible from either of the sites. The temperature in summer is pleasant here the views are breathtaking. Definitely must visit. Next time I am planning on taking a cabin as they face the valley with beautiful view.
Jennifer Gunn James
Beautiful lodge and overlook! Worth the drive up through Paris! The hike to the highest peak is rocky, but pretty short so you'll be able to say you've been. Cameron's Bluff overlook doesn't need to be missed.
Larry Metzger
We had an incident with the cabin and the staff responded quickly and found us another cabin. They handled the situation fairly and professionally. The manager was great, as was all staff. Will go again.
Collin Gallimore
The lodge here is an annual family retreat for us. The atmosphere is quiet in revere of nature's natural splendor. I particularly enjoyed renting the facility's impressive specialized mountain bike fleet and riding seemingly endless fire and horse trails.
nahid farzana
We went there at the beginning of november. Fall color was not that strong this year, i guess. Still, the drive was really nice. Weather was good and the view were enjoyable. We tried to stop at all the overlooks. The overlooks are at nice points, from where you can see far. You can enjoy the view by sitting there for awhile.
pinkandgeek
Outstanding park with great hiking and scrambling and most importantly, climbing. The Lodge is just a quick walk from the crag, you can even just rap down and have a zero approach climb. The Lodge is a great choice for accommodation and food. Hit the restaurant for food no matter where you stay, buffet on Friday and Saturday night, also breakfast buffet in the morning with some killer bacon. Basically I could tell you more about this park, but your time would be better spent going to their website and reserving a campsite, booking the lodge, or getting in your car and driving there. Now. Get in the car. Drive there. Climb there and hike there. You can mail me a thank you card when you get home.
Michael Davis
What's NOT to love? We went here yesterday for a family birthday. The cabin was VERY reasonably priced, well-appointed with a large fireplace, and a porch with a (awesome) view. The cabin looks woodsy - maybe rustic - without being at all dirty, cheap or grungy. To the contrary, the lighting, the television, and the kitchen/bath equipment were thoughtfully chosen. There weren't a lot of crowds there, so wifi was really pretty solid. I understand it is less reliable in the busy season.
The restaurant was much better than we'd have expected from a state park facility: really delicious. We had spinach and artichoke dip. It was deliciously creative: not expected from an appetizer. The service was excellent.
The main lodge is quite majestic and charming. We will be back.
Patricia Simmons
My first long ride on the bike. My first time up on Mt Magazine. It was wonderful. I loved driving up the mountain. It was such a challenge. I’d only been riding the bike on the road for 1 week. I’d never ridden for more than 30 minutes. I was fresh out of the parking lot. I even drove through a ditch when I missed a turn. October 14, 2019. Great day.
Jennifer Bird
Mount Magazine is beautiful and serene experience, and despite it being the summer, the temperature was an amazingly cool. I loved watching the clouds roll in and so much wildlife. The cabins were terrefic: hot tubs on the deck, indoor and outdoor dining space, washing machine and dryer, fully stocked kitchen supplies.
Jessica Ridenour
The views are amazing, the cabins and lodge are beautiful and the trails arent to difficult if you wear good shoes and bring water they're pretty long
jim catalfamo
i was planning a month hiking trip to Arkansas and this guy tarry that works in the visitor center help me with my whole trip, not only here at the park. very nice, super helpful and funny too. thank you tarry for all you have done for me. i really had a great time at the park. even on a cloudy February day!
kelly pender
Beautiful scenery! If you want a challenging walk or hike then try this mountain. Also saw lots of cyclists along the way.
Micah Spahn
Had a great weekend with friends at Cameron's Bluff Campground. Facilities were all in good clean shape and all the staff were friendly!!!
Psalm 47
Absolutely wonderful!! The view is spectacular, and the accommodations very nice. The food at the restaurant was very good, and the staff were warm and friendly. My husband and I had a wonderful time here!
Jessica Rensing
We go here every year. It’s a great place to get away, especially in the summer, because it’s generally a little cooler up there than elsewhere in Arkansas. The park rangers do pretty great educational tours which we always take advantage of. I recommend the star gazing lecture they do on the side of the mountain. We go every time. There’s also plenty of hiking and the campsites are clean. We like to camp in different parks every year, but we always make a point to come back to Mt. Magazine. It’s always worth revisiting. Totally recommend!
Izzy Randomizeder
I cannot express how much I love mt magazine! It's absolutely breath taking and so relaxing, all the trails and critters and the views are to die for, I 150% recommend coming to mount magazine, camp out, get a cabin, get a lodge room and even eat at the Skycrest! Friendly faces and good vibes all around!
John Workman
Mt Magazine state park is the standard by which all public access parks should be judged. There are facilities and activities for all ages. The Lodge at Mt Magazine is first rate and a great place for a weekend vacation. If you enjoy hiking and horse back riding this is also your go to place. Only Hobbs State park in AR is any comparison to Mt Magazine. The views are amazing; plus Magazine Mountain is the highest point between the Appalachian Mts and the Rockies. Put it on your “to visit” list.
Chrissy Sorrell
Beautiful place! The lodge was pretty as and the food was good, long wait though. We were just visiting didn't stay there but might in the future. They have camping and cabins as well.
Alan Semon
This state park is situated between Ouachita National Forest and Ozarks National Forest. The highest point in Arkansas lies inside the park and reaching the summit is a fairly easy hike, though there aren't any scenic views from the summit. The park is wonderfully maintained and has a great restaurant inside the lodge. We'll worth stopping at.
Melanie Skipper-Stryker
Went for a day trip to Mount Magazine. It was breath taking. The gift shop has so many neat things in it. We saw beautiful views and a herd of deer that crossed in front of us. If your looking for a day trip drive to Mount Magazine. You'll be amazed to.
kat K
State park with amazing views, lots of activities and extremely well maintained. Beware that road coming in from the north has several hairpin turns. But don't miss the lookout spots from both the north & south roads.
Jesse N
This place had awesome views and soooooo many trails along with a scenic byway filled with history. The drive in was cool too.
Mark T
Nice park with a few good trails for hiking. A nice visitors center and lodge. When I visited I hiked the North Rim, Signal Hill, and Moss back trails. If you are not into hiking they have a few overlooks you can visit with your car.
Manoj Ramachandran
One of the beautiful places to see fall color in Arkansas at an elevation of 2250. This mount has couple of view points from where fall color can be enjoyed. Ideal for a day trip from Little rock. Pack your lunch enjoy the scenic drive to the top and have your lunch over looking fall color. Lodging and cabins are available for an overnight stay.
Shelley Tyler
This is an amazing hidden secret in Arkansas. Many people who live in that state do not know it even exists. All of the rooms at the lodge face the ridge. Therefore you see the sunrise and the sunset from any balcony of any room. No view is obstructed. It is absolutely a gem right in the middle of the Ozarks.
Dakota Wood
Great hikes with awesome views! Can't wait to go back
Jacquelyn Johnson
The mountain is so beautiful.. it has the most amazing views and roads leading up and down both sides. The beauty is just majestic. For sure a must see for any one going to Arkansas.
M W
Gorgeous place! Wish we'd had more time to stay and hike! The food was a bit pricey but good. We ate at the restaurant and sat by the window. The sunset was simply GORGEOUS!!
Larry Perry
Very nice park with plenty to do. Campground, picnic areas, a visitor center and a lodge. There is a good trail system there. The trails are well defined and fairly easy to follow, though they are not as well marked as in other Arkansas State Parks. The lodge has rooms with beautiful views over the valley. The food at the dining room was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Lauren Hall
Gorgeous area, especially in the fall. The lodge was beautiful as well. We saw plenty of animals and the lookout was breathtaking.
Sami Walker
One of my favorite places to visit, we camp, hike, watch the sunsets. And you can count on the tempatures to be a bit cooler than those in surrounding areas. But visiting in the fall or late spring is the best!!
Marie Jourdain
Very pleasant surprise with this state park. Trails were beautiful, the whole day was a lot of fun.
Arlette Lee
Spectacular views (not from the RV parking spots) but biking or hiking .
We left a day earlier because of the bad weather and foggy surroundings.
BUT hope to do it again .
Kathryn Wilson
Wonderful hiking area. Great cabins with a nice sitting area, kitchen, and ours was a two bedroom with two full baths. Appreciated the central heat and air. Great view of the valley.
RoadRambler 1900
My best friend and I traveling the mountain and looking at some beautiful scenery.
Santiago Dominguez Fraire
Is one of the most beautiful views mountain in the country mountain magazine alot to explore nice restaurant and motel also cabins and hiking trails
Wendy Pena
This is a very serene park with gorgeous views. Lots of hiking trails and biking areas. The campground is very clean and so is the bath house. We loved this place! Wifi is pretty non-existent and cell phone reception is spotty. That just meant more quality family time! We will definitely be back!
Donna Hardin
Fantastic place to enjoy nature, to spend the night at their lodge, or to attend a retreat. The views are breathtaking and the food is yummy.
Jordan Sherrod (sherrthevideo)
Glorious park! Best views in Arkansas! You can see for miles! The lodge restaurant is also fantastic. A must try after a long hike.
Mary C
Wonderful hikes. Great views. Very nice campground
Michele Streetman

Nathalie Paulder
Absolutely beautiful!! Definitely going to rent a cabin up here. Gorgeous drive, stunning views.
Jefferson Mahurin
Extremely beautiful and very Serene an absolutely amazing state park a must see
David Bell
Most luxurious state park I've ever experienced. We stayed in the lodge, which is beautiful, modern and situated overlooking one of the best views in the state. Food is good and there are several nice short or medium hikes around the top of the mountain.
Make reservations early since lodge, cabin, and camping are often all booked, especially on weekends.
Praneeth Aluru
Beautiful place with amazing views! Went for the fourth of July and surprisingly it was very less crowded. It has a lodge, some cabins and a restaurant if you prefer to stay in the park. Some good trails to experience the Ozark National Forest.
Richard Newton
Of the handful of times I have eaten in the restaurant, last nights dinner was definitely the best tasting!
The view alone is worth the road trip through, I suggest packing a lunch and drinks because you're gonna wanna stay a while and enjoy the view.
BECKA Simon McDaniel
The Wonderous mount is breathtaking and the lodge is Gorgeous....they had no tp in bathroom and no hand towels. Was shocked at how restroom was with the rest so Great.
D Taylor
Beautiful. Was there for a wedding
Marcie B
SUCH beautiful scenery! If you have time and can visit, VISIT! It doesn't take long. As long as you want and it's beautiful, quiet, and calming.
Wayne Reynolds
Great place to spend the weekend either in the lodge or one of the cabins. Close to nature but with comfortable amenities
Shabaz Mohammed
Great location. Nice and friendly staff. Definitely worth staying in the cabins with hot tub. Cabins are comfy and makes u feel adventurous. It offers lots of activities.
Jeff Golias
Great place to visit and camp. Restrooms were clean and well lit. The lodge was beautiful and well staffed. The food was good. One of the steaks was way overcooked, but the staff corrected it. I would certainly visit again.
Chuck Haver
Great campground! Some of the most beautiful scenery in Arkansas. A must see in Arkansas!
jack gondela
Very popular mountain and now I understand why. Great views of the surrounding Ozarks, you can see one sixth of Arkansas from here.
Jerry Hibbs
Just drove up to see the highest place in Arkansas. The Lodge is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Ate lunch in the Lodge.
Michael Machado

Steve Beavers
Wonderful facilities, friendly staff, and beautiful views.

Way more spectacular than I expected. Awesome overlooks! This park has it all, even a massive lodge. We will be back sometime to explore the area more.
Adrian Lopez
Loved the scenic byway. We stayed in the campground and it was right next to the signal hill trail head.
Gary Sharp
This Arkansas state park is the flagship of the state parks. A visit during each season is uniquely awesome.
Don Howley
Had a great weekend Lodge has a very nice pool hot tub Bar and Restaurant look for Ranger Patrick he can tell you all the sites to see in the park very informative very polite
Beverly Nehus
Sister and brother n law from Tennessee and staying in the 3 bed, 3 bath cabin. We just love it up there very beautiful. The cabins are so roomy and fun.
Stephanie Hartling
Beautiful views and wonderful hikes. We did the hike to the lake...there are some logs in the way of the trail and some overgrowth that impedes the hike. First part is great for beginning hikers. The whole thing would be better for backpackers.
Ray Brown
We visited for the first time in late March and loved the park. We camped two nights, walked the trails, and walked to the lodge for lunch.
Carolyn Dickerson
The state park offers amenities for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. The highest peak in Arkansas is also located at the state park. The Lodge is a cozy and comfortable place to stay if you are looking for something other than outdoor camping. There are cabins for rental as well that caters for bigger parties. Came here for the view and to get a break from city living and was not disappointed.
Paul Brick
Excellent fall foliage and very nice variety of trails, from moderate to harder and longer. Lodge was very nice but restaurant is understaffed and serving a very limited menu. The servers are very nice but swamped.
Erin Symonds
Loved Mount Magazine! We stayed in a cabin while we were vacationing. It was a bummer because the weather was uncooperative and our views were obstructed by the clouds! Luckily on the last day we were able to take in some views for a while. It was GORGEOUS! Will definitely save my pennies for another vacation here. It's an Arkansas gem!
Joy Murphy
Love the high vibration at this beautiful Lodge on Mt Magazine. Very accommodating, great food & drinks!
Debbie Lockley
Great place to spend the day. Would love to come back and stay in one of cabins.
John Wheeler
Beautiful place. Easiest route up in my honest opinion is from Paris side. Havana just seems like a much steeper climb.
ben dupree
Quiet, shady and much cooler up on the mountain than the drive here. Beautiful overlooks. Lots of wildlife!
Caroline Minvielle
Beautiful and rustic. The bbq pit could updating on its ease of functionality. But we loved it and can't wait to be back!
Dan Chester
Stayed at the lodge. All facilities were really nice. Great views.
Unni Krishnan
Very nice campsite. Good spacing, lots of trees, nice hikes.
Mr. Donny L. Bracey
It is the highest point of the whole state of Arkansas and it's the home of the monarch butterflies exhibit. We had a really good time and they have a great hotel and resort and restaurants with a great buffet and menu.
Keith Fix
Camped with Scout troop night after first snowfall. Vault toilet at overflow/tent campground. Main campground has running water, flush toilets, and showers in heated facility.
Eddie Reyes
Beautiful fall drive to the state park from the south. Excellent views from the overlooks along the auto loop. It's a short 0.4 mile kiddie walk up the "summit" . Enjoy!
Joshua Lee
Absolutely amazing vistas. Beautiful and friendly place to come and relax
Kathryn ANN Kneff
My Other Half is the hiker, and more the legs try this! Spurr of the moment. But we did a small hike. Was okay but 🕷 🕸 through the whole thing. Alot of Deers. And amazing view. …
Rose Wise
Beautiful state park. Amazing drive up from Havana. Steep and curvy - don't bring a trailer. Lovely lodge and campground- I will return.
Bob
One of the best views from your room. There's multiple trails you can explore or even a trail on the back side that leads down towards the cliff. Restaurant is really nice, can be pricey but that's expected, there's even buffett. They have a bar, gift shop, swimming pool with 2 hot tubs, fitness center. They even have cabins ranging fron 2 -3 bedrooms. The place is secluded and there's no shops or stores around it, so bring what you need. Oh, almost forgot, pet friendly.
Daniel Taylor
Note to the traveler, it's colder at elevation! I visited during March so you can imagine the wind is sharp. The resort is nice, camping area looks attractive. The only complaint is that it bothers nobody that the sign is lying on the ground. I'm not local but it is my state, fix the sign! It hung at one time....
Robert S
Two words.... The VIEWS!!!
The views are awesome. The visitor’s center nice and the staff members are friendly.
ClayBank56
First time coming here. Me and the wife hiked a couple trails and visited the visitor center. Clean bathroom and beautiful trails!
Cathy Mansfield Skelton
This was my first time to go to Magazine State Park and I thought it was so beautiful. I definitely plan to return sometime soon.
Jason Miller
Have always found myself on this mountain no matter how far away I travel ..nothing seems to calm the storm inside ..
harpo1965
all around great, weather was quite windy and foggy. But we enjoyed the sound of the wind humming thru the room while we slept. haunting but relaxing. pool was clean hot tub was Just right. wait staff " Megan " Was absolutely a joy. Shes a keeper. I will say the front desk staff could use some cheering up ,not a cheerful greeting all weekend. Off season guest are special as well.
We will be back and may have our company Christmas 🎄 Party there 2022 .
JIM KELLY
We visited this State Park a few weeks ago, The Lodge is very well kept, clean and comfortable. Views are incredible , a very relaxing atmosphere. The only con is the restaurant, The food is awful, especially dinner. Not sure why they can't step it up several notches on the Restaurant side. You're paying a premium for the menu or buffet items, you would believe the quality could be improved greatly..
Jean V
Highest point in Arkansas. Waterfalls and views were majestic. Lovely lodge with great scenic views and great food. Plenty of scenic lookout. Must see!
Gregory Lamont
Very nice park. Great views. Wonderful lodge.
goggle nation
This view was awesome really nice place gift shop is pricy tho
David Dow
Even with dark cloudy skies and cold December weather, it's a beautiful place
Trisha Lynn
The Lodge is just beautiful!! And obviously the view too! Just attended a wedding there and everything was wonderful. The staff were so friendly!! The catering staff were amazing! I loved the craftsman details in the lodge decor. So easy to get to, plenty of parking, charming gift shop. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Loved it!
Andrea Mullins
We had a great time. We went up there to have a wedding. Our niece Stephanie got married up there. The views were beautiful. You need to go check this place out. While you are you there you need to go to Paris Ark and check out that little town. You need to eat at Smokin'Taters BBQ. The BBQ is excellent there. All in all a great place to have a vacation.
Janice Iser
Love going here, beautiful. Great way to spend a relaxing time.
Matt Hamilton
Beautiful views, clean, and the deer are plentiful and docile, which gives you a chance to take great photos!
J.Fletcher Wright
Very nice state park with lot of amenities.Very nice restaurant and indoor swimming pool
Eric Treadwell -Geotread-
The highest point in the state ( Arkansas ) is located at Mt Magazine State Park, a great location to catch a good sunset aswell.
Bo Gerard
We recently spent two nights in on of the cabins, and the experience was mostly great. The cabins are beautiful and really well maintained, and the view was beautiful. The lodge was nice too, but the menu for the restaurant was only available if you called, nothing printed or online. (strange!) and did not include any vegetarian options. The quiet around our cabins was slightly marred by some sort of transformer humming nearby. My biggest gripe was that the trails were either under-used or under-maintained, or both. The brush had over run the trails and they were not hospitable to hikers who wanted to avoid poison ivy.
All things they could fix, to make it a 5 star experience.
T Scheidler
Gotta give it five stars, stayed at the campground, no problem getting our 40 foot motorhome with a trailer up the mountain and into the campground. Bigger rigs definitely come from the north. The lodge, restaurant, and cabins are amazin. Saw lots of deer and bear sign.
Britney Barker
Mount Magazine was absolutely beautiful! The area was well kept. There was no trash laying around & the bathrooms were clean.
rick holloway
Thanksgiving morning was foggy and windy but the afternoon was beautiful and pleasant
Tracen Wheeler
Breathtaking views, multiple overlooks, well worth the drive! I can't wait to bring my family back for a visit!
Tim Barry
Beautiful views. Very nice park with a good restaurant at the lodge.
Elizabeth Strotheide
Absolutely beautiful place and the fact that the leaves are starting to change makes it that much more wonderful
Judge Giss
Great views and lots of great trails to hike on. The lodge has top notch places to stay. Signal Hill offers views from the highest point in Arkansas. Look for roadrunners along the side of roads and trails!
Matthew Moses
Great hike to the highest place in Arkansas. View is blocked by trees but you can stop off on the scenic turnoffs or try other trails.
Vj Slaughter
Just checked in,great AMAZING Views.Has elevators 4 all floors, which is great! Restaurant on site as part of the lodge,BBQ and breakfast buffets are pretty tasty, current pricing at our time of visit was $17.00 and some change. Most meal entrees are over $10.00 but considering what you pay 4 fast food these it's a good meal for the $. Food choices with in 30 to 40 min radius is limited. We found The Pizza Barn in Paris Arkansas to be an AWESOME choice for an offsite meal, fresh made to order salad, and the crispy crust pizza is heavenly! They also have a juke box and pool tables to round out your day or evening of a great time. We saw a couple small shops, antique and a wat not shop...wat not bc I'm not really sure if it was a consignment boutique,or a clothes and antique shop, name sign didn't say.Sorry hubby wasn't in mood to shop or go looking(Just keeping it real) lol .Im sure a " look up" may explain, since there was only a couple of these in town and,a small Wal-Mart.For a family or active couple this area is a,meca of hiking trails, swimming inside and couple Nice beaches in area an near lodge as part of the park and the experience. All around great place with beautiful scenery and lovely lodge type interior. Would stay here again for an event or to take older grandkids hiking.
Philip Ross
Very quiet. Lush Forest with beautiful overlook of Petit Jean Valley. Great facilities for lodge, cabins and camping.
Jolicia Dadum
Omg this place is Georgous!! Want to rent a cabin!!
Macayla McIntyre
Really beautiful state park. Even if you don't have time to hike, the drive up and down the mountain is worth a detour.
luis caliz
An amazing viwes Outstanding service the staff is amazing
Max Adventures
This Place features a beautiful modern lodge with breathtaking views! Great place to get away from it all. Rooms are just under $120 A night with taxes.
SHAWN CAGLE
A great place for awesome views fun camping and lodging

Excellent trails. Quiet. Really Quiet.
Nice level RV Spots.

state park. Beautiful cabins. Nice trails.
SKC adventures
Beautiful park and amazing views enjoyed going a few times and plan on making more trips .
Michael Jeter-Boldt
The views from atop the mountain are amazing. The cabins may be the nicest you'll ever find in a state park, and could easily be mistaken for properties available on Airbnb or VRBO. The lodge offers a game room and huge indoor pool with views over the valley below. Easily one of our favorite Arkansas state parks.
Carol Anzalone
It was still “winterish” when we visited, but I could imagine the beauty during other seasons. Mt. Magazine Lodge was a big surprise! We stopped in for an amazing, very affordable brunch while enjoying the views. Super friendly staff.
Randall Alfred
The wife and I really enjoy the getaway up to Mount Magazine. Stayed at the lodge back in October and this time we stayed at the 3 bedroom cabin. Had a wonderful time with the kids and wife hiking. The kids enjoy the pool and weight room. The restaurant was great along with the service. Views from the cabin was spectacular. Would definitely be back!
Annettte Anderson
Really enjoyed the hubby trails and the staff was very nice and knowledgeable
Lynne Campo
I can’t recommend Mount Magazine State Park highly enough. It is absolutely gorgeous. Mount Magazine. It is the highest point in Arkansas at 2735 feet, and the highest point of the US Interior Highlands, in the [Ouachita National Forest., which the oldest national forest in the South United States. There were beautiful Juniper trees with lavender berries. The mountains were covered in trees, some with turning leaves for Autumn. There were also outcroppings of rock. The Forestry Service has made several areas where you can park and view with log guard rails, and beautiful natural stone pathways . Also at the very top is Mount Magazine Lodge which I also rate 5 stars. There are handicap accessible viewing areas. The most accessible bathrooms would be the public restrooms in the lobby at the Lodge.
R. R.
Beautiful lodge and stunning views, very busy at times.
Chaz England
Absolutely stunning views with several lookout opportunities. Definitely worth the drive.
Rose Colon
This lodge is the most wonderful place to stay for peace and quiet. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant serves delicious food. Our room was sparkling clean, and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. I’m so glad we made the trip, and we look forward to another visit.
Cc Lowe
If you are looking for peace, beauty and serenity Mount Magazine is your place. Everywhere you turn is a captivating view. And the restaurant cooks are exceptional!
Lisa Tedder
We spent a pleasant two days hiking in the park. Most of the trails were fairly easy. Hardly anyone was there due to the time of year and the weather so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Lovely area, worth the visit. Stayed in a nice cabin with a perfect view, great for afternoon wine and cheese plus relaxing.
Dale Huff
Best experience we have had at Mt Magazine and we have been many times. Hotel and restaurant staff were outstanding. Everything was back to pre pandemic standards and beyond
Brent Hardin
Great hiking. Beautiful waterfalls! Can't wait to go back!
Gus and Gina Gustafson
Beautiful area! Great scenic drive!
Andrea Sumers
Beautiful and Majestic! Clean air and cooler temperatures made for a comfortable camping weekend. The kids enjoyed learning about the various walking stick bugs that are prevalent in the forest this time of year. The bathhouse facilities were acceptable and accommodating.
Richard Redmerski
Beautiful views, at 2,753 ft. Highest point in Arkansas.
Albert Gonzales
Great views from tent camping area.
Karen Perry
We hiked and had lunch at the lodge! Amazing beauty all around!
C B P
Great views all around at this park. The new lodge and restaurant look amazing! Did not get a chance to eat as it was packed.
Sherry Massanelli
Don't get me wrong, beautiful place and the view was amazing. I will spare the longest review ever in history! But, if you plan to bring your pet to this "pet friendly" facility, think twice! They are not pet friendly at all. We were asked to leave because our dog barked very few times! Dogs will bark and ours wasn't the only dog there that barked but we were singled out by a guest on his balcony who didn't appreciate the morning greeting from our balcony. Apparently he wouldn't let it go and got us removed. Yeah, guess his money was better than ours. Thanks to that guest for ruining my anniversary weekend and thanks to the lodge for mishandling the entire situation. And for that reason I will never return. Buy a muzzle for your animal or you will go through hell. Completely uncalled for. I was devastated and cried my eyes out! We drove 4 hours for that trip! Shame on the lodge! Only upside...they refunded our money as they should have!
Fracting
Amazing mountain to hike. It's full of flourishing wildlife. Would reccomend if want to hike with a chance to see some wildlife
Belinda Maxwell
What a beautiful view and awesome staff. It will leave you breathless.
J 2000
Nice gem in the west central area of Arkansas, very nice shower facilities and primitive camping…
Margaret Vaughn
It is a beautiful place to visit. We stayed at the lodge there. So peaceful and quiet. The scenery is so awe inspiring. I highly recommend a visit.
Shelley Wouters
Very beautiful place. The lady at the desk is not very friendly. But, you forget that when you see the views.
Karen Shook
This is a beautiful place to visit. They have rooms or you can rent a cabin all with great views. There are hiking trails and 4- wheeler trails. There is lots of wildlife from deer, chipmunk to bear. They have a great restaurant and a gift shop.
Charles Kaufman
This is an awesome place to relax and enjoy yourself in nature without any pressures! Great hotel, food, service and a location that is singular in it's beauty. Trails are plentiful well marked.
David Darling
Had a great time during our visit. Did some hiking on a beautiful day. Ate a very nice meal at the restaurant.
Mary
I think I've rated this already, at least that's the feedbaxk for me.
This place is so beautiful & calming. So beautiful in fact, it reaffirms my belief in God, what a mighty God we serve.
I do have photos, they don't do justice to this beautiful part of Arkansas, electronically challenged, pictures later.
Corrie J Burton Jones
This is one of the most beautiful parks i have ever been to. The scenery from the look outs is absolutely breathtaking. I just wish they had enough money to keep up the park better and care for the birds & butterfly exhibits better. Overall, its worth the stop. You won't be sorry.
Erik Grotenhuis
Very beautiful park. Great place to watch a sunset.
Tena Collins
Absolutely beautiful restaurant and view and the service and food was excellent!
Susie Wheeler
Love this place. Always have but doubly so now that I am blessed to work at the beautiful lodge and see the awesome view all the time.
B Fulmer
Highest place in Arkansas I think great views very windy when we went up
carlos
Love the views. Several trails and the visiting center have nice folks that help with your questions. Also BBQ buffet on Saturday afternoon.
T G
Quiet, peaceful, great hiking. Lodge with restaurant and bar.
Jeff France
Loved it!! Amazing views, I will come back someday and rent a cabin overlooking the valley. Beautiful and breathtaking isn't God good for making such a beautiful place!!
John Hughes
This was one of the best vacations that I have ever had. We stayed in a cabin and the rest of the time at the lodge. The park is super clean and the staff is very friendly. The lodge rooms are very clean and updated. Front desk staff is very accommodating. The cabin is beautiful and warm. The restaurant had a limited menu due to Covid. We did have a significant snow storm hit while we were there and the parking lot was deep in snow. I felt that it could have been plowed at least a little bit. We will for sure be going back for another vacation. Keep up the great work!
Philip Gordon
The park is clean and easy to navigate. Just make sure that the weather is sunny when you go. This park has a lot of fog so it can be hard to see when driving and trails can be foggy but still well marked.
Eric Garza
Great park with awesome hikes and views.
Kristin Tarp
This is a beautiful & quaint location for a weekend getaway. It was nice that we didn't have to leave the resort for our meals. The restaurant was available for both breakfast & dinner. The view from the restaurant was gorgeous if you are into butterflies, flowers & Arkansas mountain tops. 🦋🏵 …
Loena Bruce
Brought my nephews here this week. Loved it and we all did the short hike to the high point. Will definitely be returning! Park staff were extremely nice and helpful. Bathroom facilities were very clean.
Weylin Wyeth
Beautiful. Staff polite. Restaurant short on staff this trip, but excellent in the past.
Lodge and cabins are clean. Lots of trails and paths. Views spectacular. Will return.
Dakota Rupe
Beautiful lookouts. Great Harley country through here. Cool hikes. If you want to eat at the lodge, it's only buffet. They no longer have a menu. Whether you're an Arkie born and raised or a traveler passing through, Mt. Magazine will not disappoint.
Jessica
This place has amazing views. Pretty easy walking trails if you have kids, along with a few trails that are a bit harder for experienced hikers. We did tent camping and although the spot was shaded, I feel the other campers were far enough apart. I'm not talking about covid-19. I feel when you're camping you shouldn't be able to hear your neighbor sneeze or film their videos.
Jaylyn Langley
Beautiful scenery & lodge. Food is excellent. One of my favorite Arkansas state parks
Z Original1
Staggering views and nice day hikes.
Keith Langley
Oversights growd up, needs trees removed. Other than that all's, well.
Billie Cain, Jr (Louie)
Had a great time for our 18th Anniversary...
coffeyek1
Great place to stay whether in the lodge or camping. We are headed back soon for our third visit. Beautiful hiking, campground and lodge are both really nice, depending on what you’re looking for! Highly recommend.
Lynn Hastings
I got married 10/31/2020 on Camerons Bluff... its beautiful there ...
bruce cozzens
Beautiful fall colors! Weekend before Halloween!
Beth Lewis

Melissa Lou Gregory
This place is gorgeous. I love the serenity and scenery. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Brad “Butch” Colburn
Very nice campground with lots of rooms between sites.
Ex_Cathedra
Beautiful place. Rented a cabin and it has everything you need to make it a home away from home. The views and trails are awesome. Definitely going back.
Ritesh Tarway
One of the best kept natural secrets in our natural state !!!
I liked the trails, wild life, flowers and butterflies. We hiked for more than 10 miles on different trails and the views were really awesome.
Next time, I will try to stay for couple of days to cover what I could not see in this trip. I checked cabins, lodge and camping area, all of them were nice and figured that they remain pretty much booked, so If I want to stay there I will have to keep looking and plan for it in better way.
derrek mccammon
Very beautiful..a must visit
Kenneth Mitchell
The room was clean when we checked in but there was no room cleaning the next day.
Tyler Gendron
Amazing sights and plenty of walking trails. Just the one day we visited and we saw about 20 deer
Stormi Wang
My boyfriend brought me up here to this beautiful; bring you to the mountains look to ask me to be his girlfriend one of my best memories
Gilbert Navarro
Very scenic. The food at the lodge is always tasty.
Terry H
Great cabin, great service at the restaurant, great views. Food was good but not great. Price for both the restaurant and cabin were a bit pricey. We stayed in cabin 9. It was WAY big for the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. It would easily accommodate 2 families with kids. With that said, you cannot go wrong here. Beautiful views, great hiking, fun ATV tours, and local nature destinations.
Jackie Henning
Spacious rooms with stunning views. Lots of little places inside lodge to sit and relax with the view or read a good book. Rockers on back patio where the view is on full display. Nice staff. Small gift shop has cute things. Super clean. Love the giant fireplaces. The food in the restaurant is so much better than I expected. The rolls were so fresh, tasted and smelled wonderful.
Mark Johnston
Had a relaxing hike to the highest point in Arkansas. Loge has good food and beer to finish off your day of exploring.
Gwen Brooks
Beautiful place! Small weddings are great here.
mohammed albusaidi
The park is super beautiful, I liked how they arranged the trails. The visitors center was really clean they have some amazing stuff there, the staff were really friendly.
Angie Haley
It’s nice park but Petit Jean was much better with more interesting hikes. Mount Magazine is pretty behind the lodge but that’s about it. When you get to the highest point it’s a fun hike and cool rock map of Arkansas. We was going to eat at the restaurant there but sadly their menu was not what is on the website. The waiter told me the menu on website has not been updated in years. I was disappointed because I wanted to eat with a beautiful view.
Rock House Farms
Beautiful as always! Decided at last minute to eat at lodge. They only had buffet. You could not order off menu. I am a picky eater and rarely get buffets because I simply don't get money's worth. It was ok but not one item was anything I would have ordered. Actually with covid I was surprised they even had buffet much less force everyone to eat off of it. They did have gloves for you to wear and of course get a new plate but I saw several NOT wear gloves. Will check before going next time. It may have been easier if their staff is low, unsure of reason.
N L Sharp
We've really enjoyed our stay at Mount Magazine. I loved walking the trails and taking pictures. Most of the staff were super helpful at the Lodge. I just wish we had brought an atv to enjoy some of the trails.
Garry Norman
What a wonderful place to visit the lodge has incredible views.
They also rent mountain bikes.
The lodge is very beautiful complete with an indoor pool, and meeting rooms.
The restaurant also has seating with views of the beautiful valley.
Fully stocked bar and very good food.
The cabins are very very nice and cozy with a hot tub on the porch but they are a little pricey
John Gearheart
Great place for camping. They have a magnificent lodge to stay in too, at a reasonable price. Very nice restaurant with great views overlooking the mountains. The campgrounds have full hookups and make you feel like you are in the woods. Lots of great trails to hike. Lots of fun for everyone. Great vacation spot.
Gina Hunt
Beautiful Lodge and the Views are Spectacular!! The Rock Formations are Gorgeous!
Mike Beitzel
Lunch here was awesome as was the view don’t miss the lodge
Christina Escamilla
Absolutely stunning. Loved everything about this place.
Sherry Hamby
Always great to visit this place! We come up around 2 or 3 times a year. We've stayed in one of the cabins (great experience), we've ridden the off road trails (one of our favorite places to ride our sise by side) and have even just driven up to eat at the restaurant. All have been great experiences and the view is beautiful!
Heath DeMarcy
The view is amazing. We enjoyed our stay at the lodge. The food is high quality. We enjoyed every meal.
G Benson
One of the best state park in AR. Clean rooms, great people to help in all areas. The dinning room was great with a view to die for.
That evening was very cool and for the middle of July it felt wonderful. A great place to get away for the weekend.
Sherri Hendricks
I took my daughters and mom here. We had such a special time
Toby Schaefer
Amazing views and great trails! Visited for a business meeting but had to take any free moment to hike. Going to the tallest point is a bit lackluster though, as you're in the woods and can't see the amazing view you can see from most other areas around there. That said, would love to have more time to explore there!
Blake Knackstedt (R5sBadMotivator)
Beautiful views and a must visit for anyone living in the central states.
Rachelle Spence
Beautiful
Sean Gibson
Such a beautiful location. There are hotel rooms in the lodge, cabins that allow pets, and camping sites...something for every taste of outdoor living experience.
The staff is wonderful. Knowledgeable about the best trails for your ability level. Extraordinarily friendly and willing to help you get the most out of the state park.
Karun Gahlawat
nice place. lots of trails. beautiful sunrise and set. there is a back packer trail about 10 miles deep in national forest if you want to try. lodge has a restaurant with decent menu and good quality food. bit pricey which is expected. cabins come with hot tub and fire place.
Drew Fillyaw
Beautiful park! Well kept and maintained. Gift shop in the Visitors Center is way over priced on everything however.
Charlene Hutson
Rented a cabin for family's early Christmas. We had so much fun; tried out the jacuzzi in the swirling fog, encroaching darkness, and 38 degree temp. The water kept us warm although our faces were quite cold. Then we had supper inside the well stocked kitchen (just bring your own food; the beautiful restaurant was closed d/t Covid). Afterwards we lit the fire and toasted a few marshmallows for s'mores and enjoyed the fire until it changed to embers. We slept soundly in comfortable beds. The next morning dawned clear so we were able to see the amazing vistas that were obscured previously. We spent the day hiking different trails, one of them to the tallest point in Arkansas. Don't miss this lovely place!
Steve Haben
Nice rooms. Magnificent views.
JP Kelly
Its epic in every category. The lodge us incredible, you can go see the views from all sides of the mountain, go eat Dinner at the restaurant and head down the mountain. The food here is outstanding! We got lucky with all you can eat buffet of prime rib, Fried catfish, bacon wrapped quail, fried calamari, grits, spinach, and many other incredible items on the menu. And then you get to eat in a restaurant that has an absolutely spectacular 3000 foot View. Best part is you don't have to rent a room to eat at the restaurant. This place is definitely worth going.
Lisa
Beautiful and friendly. I wish more areas were wheel chair friendly. The lodge is accessible but many trails or bluff sites are not. It is a very nice place to drive around in to see nature and wildlife.
the york crew family life
Love it there the weather stayed like in between the seventies only if it had more rainfall you could be able to see waterfall but other than that it was still very beautiful we seen deer rabbits birds my husband said he seen a baby cougar and the hiking was wonderful
Beca Cardona
Mount Magazine SP is gorgeous. We stayed in a cabin for two nights and can't wait to return. The cabin had everything we needed. Got to see deer, birds and raccoons. The view from the balcony was stunning day and night. It was wonderful to be able to show my kids the stars and the Milky Way. You can't miss the sunset from Cameron Bluff. Went to Cove Lake for a day and it was real pretty and relaxing. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Teddy Dondanville
We were surprised by the beauty of this location. The campground was quite, clean and easy to get reserved. The rock climbing was excellent. Watching the sun rise and set atop Mount Magazine was excellent.
S R
Nice well maintained rooms with great views. Friendly staff and lots of trails close by. Had a nice relaxing stay. Bike rentals onsite is nice and loves the swimming pool. Restaurant onsite is just ok.
Evan Kramer
Awesome scenery views were awesome.
Phyllis Cox
Our experience was stellar, except our first meal at restaurant. After that, we enjoyed every aspect of our trip. Told friends about it, and they have already booked a trip! Can't wait to go back!!!
Antonio Ramirez
Awesome scenery! The drive was spectacular. Nice clean state park, way to keep up the grounds park staff your doing an amazing job! The campground we stayed at was very clean as well as the bathrooms!
Heather Anon
Highly recommend. I spent 2 1/2 days there and was not disappointed. The views are indescribable and the trails were well maintained. I forgot to check availability before I arrived and the state park was fully booked but I was able to get a site in the overflow section. Tent camping, no electricity or water (just how I preferred it). Showers are available a short drive away at the "regular" camping section. My tent site overlooked the valley and a short trail led to an outcropping where I had a 180 degree view of the sunrise. A small stream ran down rocks nearby and I was able to collect and filter cold water. I recommend you treat your clothes with a tick repellent (like permethrin) and make sure your animals are on tick prevention.
The reason for only 4 stars is that the bathroom in the overflow site was so vile I never used it. It was basically an upgraded outhouse, which was fine, except the stench when you walked in was too much and there were dozens of tiny gnats flying around the toilet seat. It was safer to practice "leave no trace" and go in the woods. I would be interested to know if the park ever comes through with lye to dump in the "toilets" to control the smell and bugs.
C. E.
Mount Magazine is a beautiful park with gorgeous views!! The trail is mostly wooded, but very pretty with lots of birds and deer to see. You drive up to the top of the mountain and park and mostly hike around the top, so there is not a lot of climbing to do. There is camping and beautiful cabins to rent. From what we could tell, all of the cabins had an amazing view! This is an all day park and definitely worth the trip!!
Arpit Lasod
The best place for bike trailing and amazing views. Its a nice foggy place in the month of June if it rains.
Kevin Hollis
Very scenic/easy drive. Multiple overlook stops on the way up, beautiful views. Once near the top multiple campsites with benches and grills. The restaurant was the highlight, decent and terrific service. Very easy hike to the highest point in Arkansas, sadly no view once there but still a nice hike.
Lorria A. Eubanks
We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday, fishing, relaxing and enjoying each other's company...the cabin was a great experience!
Mary Taylor
This place is not only beautiful, but everyone is so incredibly nice. Shoutout to Justin and the other bartender. They were great company and gave great service!
Jacob Brady
Beautiful hike to the peak. Almost 0.5mi from parking lot to the peak. Not great views as the peak is low and wooded, but a nice hike to stretch the legs after a drive. We couldn’t get a room at the lodge, but it looked really nice and probably had incredible views.
Matthew Hays
We went over the 4 of July just to get out of the low land heat, we were blessed with cold front that made it feel like early fall. It was very nice because it was cool it was clear and you could see forever. The food at the lodge was good, but the greens like salad had been sitting around a while so bring your own if you want that fresh. I imagine that they don't get deliveries out there that often because its as long drive from any one of the major cities. The breakfast was good too. We stayed at the lodge and it was wonderful, the staff was wonderful, and accommodating and the room was clean you can tell the staff takes pride in what they do. If you like a good view this is one of the highest in the Ozarks it's worth the stop to stay a day or two if you enjoy vistas. Over all it was 5 star hope to visit again.
Amanda Thibodeaux
Breathless! It was awesome. I have been many places and this lodge was excellent in all areas. Food was great in the restaurant. Service was great with smiles and anyone who meet you in the hall smiled and asked how was your day. Room and the view from the "balcony" was breathtaking. Have a seat right there on your own balcony while looking over amazing views and valleys. Highly recommend stopping at the visitors center and take time to go to the bird/wildlife watching area in the center to view so many different birds, deer and other creatures. Took the hike to the Signal Hill from the lodge to the highest point. Even though it was August the walk was in the wooded shade and was easy, not strenuous. Beware of the wildlife on your walk though. Came face to face to a deer which waited to run when we were 15 ft from it. Compared to other state parks if you like a view, the mountains and wildlife this is the place!!!

Beautiful place. Worth the trip. Restaurant needs more selection. Great service and moderately good food.
Naomi Smith
Absolutely amazing! Beautiful, gorgeous, breath taking aren't sufficient for the views here. Patrick, the State Park trooper, was absolutely awesome in giving us insight and making our first experience very memorable. We're definitely going to be making regular trips there. Thank you!
Mohammed Alqahtani
My favorite park in AR, will visit again and again.
Adeel Shamim
Beautiful views of the highest peak in Arkansas!
Donna Woodall
Beautiful. Nice trails. Grand overlooks. Breasy. Well maintained. Large campsites. Only negative is no close convenience stores. The visitors center has a few camping supplies, souvenirs and firewood. The lodge had ice and souvenirs. Showers were big and hot, but no heat in the bathhouse.
Chelsey Buttrey
Beautiful park! We will be back! Clean restrooms in the campground! The only downfall is that they could use more camping spots. The lodge is gorgeous. The overlook, nature and trails are awesome. We camped while there and the sites were nicely spaced apart with plenty of parking, playing, picnicing and another section for the fire pit area. Clean roads and trails.
Tim Tabor (Dakotatim)
Beautiful park.
Bart Stormont
Beautiful views, great trails
Ronald McGullion
Beautiful!! Well worth the trip to get there n overlook the landscape. Beautiful hotel n very accommodating to allow visitors to walk thru out onto the overlook area.
Chris Nixon
Great view and loved the room! The surf and turf buffet felt like highway robbery. 25$ a plate, with no alternative options, for a myriad of fried and boiled buffet fish and a slab of prime rib.. not good.
Cindy Petted
This may be a state park but it has the feel of a National Park. Great accomodations at the Lodge. It's a dry county so BYO or join their membership. The restaurant has very good variety of dishes and the staff is super friendly. We hiked 8 miles of the trails and found them clearly marked and well maintained. Not much for mountain biking but the ride to the West ridge has some awesome views.
Rick Sparks
One of Arkansas's beautiful State Parks!
Matthew Williams
Beautiful views. Going to come back with a professional camera!
Leonard Cowart
Impressive lodge and resturant
Nice cabins for those who prefer less of a hotel setting. Great views from the rooms on the back side.
Lincoln Estill
This place is absolutely beautiful. From the lodge you get a stunning view from the top of the mountain and the lodge itself is very picturesque. Loved spending time with my family here and hope to come back. I definitely recommend.
David Clardy
Like all state parks in Arkansas this one is well done.
Brian Porterfield
Great family getaway. Easy drive from anypart of Central Arkansas. We also stayed in the lodge very clean and extremely nice staff. Restraunt was very good as well. They have lots of activities such as game room, indoor pool, hiking trails, bike trails and more.
Joe Goodwin
Mount Magazine never fails to inspire and stir one inside. The trails are plentiful and fair walking . The views are always breathtaking. The fall colors viewed from Cameron Bluff are definite telephoto lens material!
This last journey was made right in the middle the walking sticks mating season....so weird.
Everything on top of the mountain needs your help, so please be safe and clean... And donate if you can.
Robin Y
spectacular views out of every window. the lodge is decorated for Christmas. There's original art on display for the month. This state park has a long history and this is the second Lodge built there. Out of the way however worth the drive. there is also a very nice restaurant there.
Dennis Derichs
Nice set up but I don't understand why there is no observation tower to get above the tree tops to see 360°. The Cave Lake driving trail and Petit Jean viewing point has spectacular views.
Lucinda Dunbar
Not my favorite Arkansas state park but was nice. Would be a great relaxing lodge stay. Hiking trails are ok, not great.
Lloyd Christmas
The food was great, the view was awesome. Can't wait to go back and stay a few days.
Brandon Ayers
What a beautiful place This was. The top of the mountain is the highest point in the state as well as 8 other states in the region. There are many places to camp in the mountain. Lots of lakes and high cliff tops to view amazing sights that go for miles. There is a lodge in the mountain rebuilt in 2003 that is just amazing a beautiful in bother the architecture and the AMAZING view upon the cliff face on which it stands. We were going to get a room to stay over night but every room was already filled! So book in advance of you're going to stay there. It was truly an awesome place for a honey moon or for the family or for you and some friends. I will most certainly be going back to mount magazine just to stay at the lodge.
Sabrina Schwaab
Just stunning. The highest elevation in Ak. Their lodge is the nicest s
Parks and recreation facility ive ever seen. I would recommend upgrading to a balcony room, as it offers the best photo opportunity of the valley. It's a modest upcharge, worth every dollar.
Sheila Ross
One of the most beautiful areas in the Ozarks! FYI, rent a cabin in the woods you will be do glad you did! So much better than a fancy hotel or lodge! Eat and buy Local!
Ron Siebenmorgen
It is spectacular!! The views are amazing. There's plenty of hiking trails. You can rent a cabin that sits at the edge of the cliff. Plus, each room at the Lodge faces the cliff.
Bob Smith
Great place to visit in AR. Mount Magazine State Park has some great views. Awesome cabins. An amazing lodge at the summit.A hand glider launch. Hiking trails galore. Equine trails. Several camp site sites. Two lakes on the mountain, as well as one that is not far from the mountain. Definitely a cool place to visit if you are going to be in the area.
mary henson
Wonderful stay in the cabins. Wind was bad
Valerie Riordan
Most beautiful view in all of Arkansas!
Cheryl Brunk
This is a beautiful place. Been here three days and have done a lot of trail walking with my Yorkie. There is a lake at the bottom of Mt Magazine where there is swimming, fishing, primitive camping, and other activities. I'm in the campground with a few hookups higher up on Mt. Magazine.
It must be a busy place on weekends because I couldn't book a full week. However, it is very peaceful right now.
I love this place any time of year!!
Mandy Lovan
We're local but coming up to the Lodge for dinner is like a mini vacation. This time of year it's always especially cozy and intimate for a couple or the whole family. The food is also fantastic, especially the opossum pie! Wish they would bring back the meat, cheese, and wine appetizer. It was all from Arkansas and it was amazing.
Sarah (Mustanger04)
Absolutely beautiful. The lodge is always beautiful to stay in and clean. The restaurant is good food and has a great bar.
Matt Nixon
Not much that can be said, you must come here to see the views for yourself.
Shriram Venkatesan
The lodge itself is a terrific place. Great and friendly receptionists who were generous enough to permit our family of 10 to eat at their lounge with the food we had brought with us. And the view from there of the valley; the access to trails, the rooms and facility - it has got them all.
Erik Cross
We just stopped here for a short visit on a quick barbecue for lunch.
It was a rather windy day, but other than the wind everything was terrific the views were outstanding.
There are several romantic spots to visit as well as family spots in general.
Anytime I'm down in this direction I try to stop by it's another one of my favorite little places that are just too big to properly review.
If you haven't visited Mount Magazine it is definitely worth the stops you will make while on the mount.
Rachel Harner
Had a terrific time! We had both, a room at the lodge and a cabin. Both were clean and very nice. The cabin kitchen was completely stocked with all the gear needed. The views were awesome. We were there for the 4th of July, a Wednesday - Sunday and we were never crowded with other visitors, rarely encountered others on the hiking trails even though the parking lots were full. We biked, hiked, drove off road, took a great ATV tour with Schultermans, visited Cove Lake for a day of Kayaking and swimming. Really couldn't have asked for a better outdoor vacation. Highly recommend the park and amenities. Great value on top of the fun.
Matthew McMorries
This place is amazing. Gorgeous views, a newer resort with "all the fixin's." So many activities to sign up for (check the site). I couldn't believe how much stuff was up on the mountain. Do yourself a favor and check this out. You won't regret it.
Michael Kaiser
Incredible views from the top of Mount Magazine! Breathtaking!
Drew P.
Beautiful woods absolutely ,some places are over grown when we went, please add more mile markers and direction post arrows ,maps throughout all trails.
Katherine Anderson
So beautiful! Very clean park and campsites! We went in winter and it was breath taking! It's defently a place you have to vist in every season. The gift shop also had some of the best prices I've seen. The staff at the visitor center were very polite and so friendly! I would recommend this park for abyone, there's so much to do!
Sam Fagan
Such a nice getaway. The hiking trails are great. The cabins are beautiful (even if expensive). A lot of the workers don't seem especially happy, but...
Rebecca Hardgrave
Great place for hiking, or for events or seminars. Be careful driving up at dusk or night because you will probably encounter herds of deer. The views are great. The stars are so br6at night without much light pollution
Stan McBride
Mount Magazine is a fantastic retreat for day hikes, overnight stays or serious trekker.
We went for anniversary and love staying in The Lodge. Campsites we visited were well tended and trails appropriately covered the mountainside.
Rob Price
Beautiful Area, Please don’t go there. You probably wouldn’t like it. It’s a special area to me though. ♥️🇺🇸 …
Ken M
Went for a bit of a drive along the scenic highway. It was very relaxing as I drove the gentle curves of the road. There are several places to pull over and take in the view. There are plenty of lake and hiking trails to explore.
Danell
Love the gorgeous views, next time....cabin!!!
Raymond Kimbrell
Stayed in one of the Mount Magazine cabins. Million $ view, 2 bd 2 ba cabin with kitchen, fireplace, deck with hot tub overlooking Pettit Jean River Valley and Blue Mountain Lake. Cabin was cozy and nicely furnished.
Kevroc
Even this late in the year this is one of the prettiest drives in the mountains that I have found. Nice overlooks with beautiful views of the Petitt Jean Valley. Such a beautiful state. I highly recommend. Get away from the people and get back to mother Earth...
Michelle Kelly
Did the Bear Hollow trail today, it was really pretty ! The trail is well marked and well worn 😊 The day was beautiful, the scenery was gorgeous, and for a day in December, it just couldn't get any better !! 😁 …
TexMexJess
While this is a fun place to say you've been, it's not for those who want to get away - unless you have a LOT of money. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous place to visit. But if you want to tent camp and "rough it," this may not be the state park for you. It's a good one and done type of campsite - a been there done that, don't really need to ever go there again. If you want to see something beautiful and still be in the mountains, I HIGHLY recommend Mount Nebo or Petit Jean state parks. They are beautiful, much cheaper, and still in the mountains. There are also more rock outcroppings at these state parks.
Ron Poshard
Be sure to bring a jacket. Just because it is 74, here it will be 10 degrees (at least!) Cooler! What views! Tallest place in the great state of Arkansas. If you are on a motorcycle, it can be challenging on the switchback if you are a novice.
Gamer Chick Life
Beautiful views especially if you are a bird watcher. Restaurant in the lodge had good food and excellent staff.
clover weckwerth
Awe inspiring views! To see everything from above the clouds, takes time to a standstill. Relaxing in a cabin is the best reason to enjoy this mountain top.
C Wall
Glad to have such a place in Arkansas. Our tax dollars well spent. The hotel is so beautiful I haven't stayed yet. I did tour the mountain and ate at the restaurant. There are spots for tents, RV, and day use areas. There are cabins available to rent and hotel with pool and restaurants. Hangglider launch area. Mountain bike rentals.
Harold Langston
The lodge was beautiful. Beautiful views from our room. So many wonderful hiking trails and had one of the best times of my life. Food was great the entire experience was like nothing else
Rituraj Singh
Sep 2020 Travelled from Texas. Loved the location and stayed the lodge at mount magazine . Welcome break after being cooped up due to covid. Excellent views from the room. Can se ed the entire valley below. Green rolling hills. The staff are doing a good job during these trying times. Travelled with our dog. Would love to go back in the fall.
Jessica Boyett
Me and my husband spent our 3yr anniversary here last night and had an amazing time. We got married here and spend every anniversary here. They are very polite, the rooms are clean, the view is amazing! The Skycrest Restaurant is also very good and the staff are friendly. I would definitely recommend this place!!!! We love it!!!!
Swetha Vijayaraghavan
Wonderful place for breathtaking vistas. The cabins atop Mt Magazine have wonderful views! And a very interesting place for bird watchers. I've seen at least 7-8 different species of birds that I've never seen in the cities during my very short stay.
Karen Crist
Beautiful Park A must see. Eat at the lodge, the food and waitstaff are great.
Stella Miller
This place is very beautiful and so peaceful.. bathrooms super clean and there was park rangers so you felt safe..my dogs loved the open area to explore
Ryan H
Being the highest point in Arkansas the views are spectacular.
Betsy Burns-Allen
Hiked to the highest point in Arkansas. Was an easy hike for my youngest who is 6 yrs. Incredible views near the lodge. Will be even better when the leaves change colors
Donsaw Merrhaba
Great views and rooms. Restaurant food average and takes very long time to get. We ordered dinner there July 4th and our entire meal took 1hr and 45 minutes. The view is excellant but got tired of waiting. The night before our waitress took my credit card to pay for our meal and after 15 minutes I had to ask her where my card was. She look puzzled and came back with my card and receipt and said she had forgot about it. Really nice place to stay just plan on spending a lot of time waiting if you eat there.
Kay Elizabeth Hughes Marchand
Fantastic! Mt. Magazine is peaceful and beautiful. Want to go back soon!
Ricky Haynes
Beautiful drive up the mountain and breath taking views
Christy Holmes
We ended up here on a fluke during an internet search for caves but were pleasantly surprised by just how gorgeous these caves ended up being! Worth every penny. Tour was great. Springs were gorgeous! We really enjoyed the beauty of it all!!
Md. Afzalul Karim
1st time in mount magazine state park.We camped there and the place was very quiet.one piece of advice, confirm the campground before you reached there.there are few hiking trails but didn't able to make it.we are just there for one night. If you go to the lodge you will get a panoramic view of ozark forests
Levita Lynn
Amazon views and cool trails! Check out the Lodge restaurant. They have omelets and pancakes so big that a family of 4 can eat off one one plate! Not only was it plentiful, it was good also. I highly, highly recommended Me Mount Magazine.
Joseph Gumeny
Great place for camping, hiking, etc. Rangers and staff are wonderful. Cool info building with gift shop. Only issue is no view from the top of Signal Hill, the tallest place in AR. Just a sign. That means you made it!
Nik Sanyal
Beautiful birds eye view from the edge of the mountain. Go behind the lodge for a short hike to the edge for a truly birds eye view. The windy drive from Havana to the State Park is definitely a bonus.
Jonathan McClure
Magazine Mt. offers some of the best views of The Natural State from every angle imaginable. The road up the mountain to the visitors center has several lookout points granting a beautiful view of the landscape, with even more good views at the mountains peak. Hiking trails are well marked, cleared, and easy to follow. Staff at the visitors center are also knowledgeable on both current AR events, other state park news, and goings-on in their own park.
Chrystal McKinnie
We stop by the Mtn every time we come to AR AR since my Grandparents are buried at Corley Cemetery and we just finish off our little drive to see them by going through the Mtn. We love going up there this time of the year to see the leaves change. We did notice a lot more visitors than ever before and we thought that was a good thing. Also noticed more signs on the road about Bears, and maybe we just hadn't seen them before since we are usually in the area in the Spring and Summer Summer instead of the beginning of October. It's a lovely place to visit. I enjoy it mostly because of the family history I have to the Mtn. My Great Grandfather helped with building some of the look outs and the Amphitheater.
George Hipp Jr.
Signal Hill on Mount Magazine is the Arkansas State High Point! Easy Hike, less than a mile with very little elevation. Not a ton of parking, but was not crowded when we went. No view, just a place to log your visit, a sign and some trees. A bit out of the way, but you could hit the Eiffel Tower in Paris at the same time! (Keep you expectations low and be surprised!)
Ralph Withers
Mount Magazine state park a very relaxing fun place to go breath taking view
Anita Kingree
My husband and I visited Mount Magazine State Park in November, and we really enjoyed our visit there. We hiked Mount Magazine and then had dinner at the Lodge. The views were spectacular and the food was great as well!
Adam Walker
Had dinner at the lodge. Very nice atmosphere, awesome view, and friendly staff. Prices were cheaper than expected, party of 8 was around $100 with appetizers. Would absolutely go again.
Chantol PH
Clean!! Ive travelled so much due to the Army. This is literally one of the cleanest lodges/hotels I have ever stayed in. The people are nice and the food is good. The only thing is my boyfriend and I didn't know you have to have a membership to drink at the bar. So either byod or consider a membership. But it was still gorgeous and an amazing time
Tim C
Lots of great trails. Beautiful in the summer, cant wait to take my kiddo in the fall. I know they will love the view from the lookout positions. Well worth the trip.
Cheryl Bunk
It was days of hiking, high winds, and cooking outside before the winds came up! My pup and I probably walked a couple of miles two times every day except one. Wasn't quite spring on the mountain so not many flowers blooming or leaves on the trees.
I had a fear that during the high winds some limbs might be on top of my slideouts but have no ladder on my motorhome. I ask everyone coming and going through the campground that I could borrow. No luck so I called the Visitors Center but because of liability they could not help me. I was so worried! But, there are good folks still willing to help. A gentleman from the Visitors Center brought his ladder the day I was to leave and checked for limbs. I am so thankful to him and the ladies at the Visitors center for their concern and help. So, not only is it a beautiful State Park but it has beautiful employees.
Star Crystal
So beautiful!! Can't wait for the weather to cool off a bit so we can go back to go hiking and camping.
K-Town 101
Always an amazing quality visit. Cabins are 12 years old, but immaculately maintained. We stated in lodge on too floor corner room. The Vista is breathtaking as was the fresh mountain air.
Mark Phillips
I love the BBQ buffet on Saturdays!
Ira Stone
The campground was heavily wooded and the sites were spaced far apart, giving a lot of privacy. Our site (003) was not very level, and even with our best attempt at levelling sewer drainage was still a problem. Verizon coverage was poor and Sprint was non-existent. No WiFi at the campground, but WiFi was available at The Lodge which was about 1/2 mile away. Also, we were allowed to use the laundry facilities at The Lodge as well. Nice restaurant at The Lodge: beautiful view, food was so-so, Arkansas wine (first time) definitely not my fave. Some very nice hiking trails in the park. North Rim Trail had some nice views, and the East Benefield Loop had some gorgeous views.
Amit G
Beautiful state park, the scenic drive and the lookouts are totally awesome
Debra Dodd
I love going to Mount magazine it is beautiful lots of scenery and you meet lots of friendly people from all over
b k
Great views overlooking Blue Mountain Lake to the South. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back to spend a night in one of the cabins bc.....well...hottubs...
William Hull
Beautiful view, nice amenities, plenty of camping and cabins available.
Lisa Proffitt
The views were amazing.
Angela Fletcher
Beautiful area to visit. The restaurant was good, the chicken strips were bland the the Ruben was GOOD!! with friendly staff. Clean bathrooms.
Jaime Hay
Nice park! Enjoyed driving through and picnicking. Many beautiful scenic points. A helpful park ranger in the visitors center got us going in the right direction!
Tobias Ford
Majestic. The only disappointment was the restaurant. Buffet. You cannot order off the menu. But I did not go there to eat and I highly recommend this beautiful wonder of nature.
Steven Rust
Breathtaking views, wildlife in the backyard, great food, great service and an great atmosphere. If she's working, ask for Sage at the restaurant. She is an exceptional server with a polite, friendly personality. If you're in the area, make this a "To-Do"!!
Charlotte Townsend
Very nice place to stay. Really enjoyed ourselves. The only problem we had was with Mother Nature. It was foggy and damp. We plan on returning on a clearer day.
Terence Pippin
Our family camp at Mount Magazine camp ground. We had a great time. It was so beautiful. Best vacation ever! but we missed the fall collors. We went last week of Oct and did not see a lot of fall colors.
LT Sto
Epic trip! Wonderful state park and make sure you visit the lodge. The lodge overlooks a truly scenic view as its located at the highest point.
Jennifer Bales
Absolutely gorgeous place. Beautiful scenery, very nice people, hotel rooms are very nice, cabins are very nice. Prices are good. I Absolutely Love Coming to Mt. Magazine! Wish I could live here.
Ranee Nelson
Beautiful place, but not totally safe. My wife slipped and fell to her death there...I almost fell at the same place when I went back up to the site to put a wreath at the cliff. I hope on day they have railings around all the cliff openings.
Thomas Chaney
Such a nice, well maintained park. Well stocked visitors center and gift shop. The overlooks are marvelous. The highest point in Arkansas is here and easy to reach with a short walk.
David Harmon
The park is a beautiful view. The wind howling through an inside vent in room 108 made it very difficult to sleep the 2 nights we were there.
Patricia Bryant
Arkansas does parks right. This park is beautiful.
monica mitchell
I cannot describe the breathing views found on top of Mt. Magazine! We caught the leaves at their peak. We can't wait to come back next year!
Tara Morgan
Its so breath taking
Adrie Wooten
Beautiful 🥰 …
Karen English
Absolutely beautiful. Even though fog was thick. Loved walking with my head in the clouds.
Alisha Ahern
Beautiful well-kept grounds!
JF LC
We spent our 28th wedding anniversary at the Lodge and loved it. The Lodge, room, and views were beautiful! We can't wait to visit again.
Richard Waddington
Well worth the time to stop and have lunch and relax
Todd Girod
This is always a great park to visit. Love the camping, hiking, view from the top, eating at the lodge, and cool weather.
tammy strange
Did not stay here but had lunch at the Lodge and it was great.
Hiked one of the trails. The Lodge has a fantastic view especially at sunset.
Plan to go back and stay at the Lodge or a cabin.
