Place is beautiful ❤️ great hiking. Trail has some steep areas. There are roads to each end of the falls if your unable to walk. Have a great time, we did!!!

Beautiful park. Nice campground, our site was roomy and shaded. Heavy DNR presence in the area, nice folks. Camp bathrooms and showers were kept clean and were newer. Will definitely return. The small cemetery behind a campground shower house seemed to be the only place we had cellular reception.

We had a wonderful camping trip at Lieber. There are many thing's to do in the area or you can sit back, relax & enjoy the scenery. Take your boat (motorized or paddle) along to enjoy the Lakes & River, they also have a nice sized pool to enjoy on the grounds. At the start of September the pool is only open on the weekends & closes in October. We enjoy talking our dog's with us when we camp, Lieber is a nice place for critters to enjoy as well! Lots of space for them in their big campsites & they'll enjoy walking with you through the campgrounds. There are latrines throughout the campgrounds & each campground has a comfort station. It would be nice if there was a couple more comfort stations in the modern camping area. The showers get pretty busy during peak season. They do have nice Handicap emminities in their comfort station's & they were very clean.

A great place to relax! the non electric campsites are spacious. There's plenty of room for a trailer and to still have space to spread out. The park is kept well. The bathrooms/showers are a little dated but well kept.

Good price, hard to judge on the off season. Roads were kept clear of fallen trees and the ranger at the main office was cordial. No bath house access in winter

We had a great time!!! Will definitely be going back for a summer trip!!! Our 2nd time for a fall trip was nice. We camped on site 78 it had lots of room for our dogs and tents.

My over all experience of the water and camping I enjoyed. However what I did not enjoy was the fact that the pit restroom had feces all over the floor. The shower house was gross dirty toilet paper littered the floor and shower stalls. The lights kept flickering while I was showering. I understand the world is short staffed but cleanliness in restrooms at this state park is not handled at all it seemed.

Enjoyable, quick picnic stop off I-70. Well manicured park with multiple picnic tables/shelters and a play ground with nearby restrooms made for a good time for our toddler too.

The campsites here are pretty well spread out. Your not right on top of your neighbor. We enjoyed going to the lake where they had a small beech and watching the sunset. The trail weren't to crazy but was pretty nice. Also the showers weren't too awfully bad!

It was a nice place to hang out for a day. Wasn't too crowded and there was a little beach area that we saw but didnt go to. We rented a pontoon boat. The boat was dirty and had cob webs all over. Also the ladder was broken so we were give an add- on ladder that we had to take off and put back on everytime we stopped to swim. Just wasn't best experience overall and will probably try out another lake next time.

It's a great place if you are into water activities on the lake, from boating to fishing to swimming. There is also a very nice picnic area that would be great for large groups. However, there isn't a lot of other activities such as hiking or biking. The longest trail is only 0.75 miles long and there are only three trails in the park. The campgrounds are decent, but nothing spectacular. Sunny Acres Campground, where we stayed, has many sites in the middle of an open field and exposed to the sun, but we snagged an outer site that had some more shade. On the positive side, they were very spacious, which was much appreciated. On the negative side, there was only one of the modern restrooms for the entire Sunny Acres Campground and was a decent walk from our site. Pit toilets could be found scattered in between.

Beautiful place, campground is kept nicely, beach even though small is enjoyable, nice fishing areas, lake is plenty big enough with boats, several playgrounds, on-site store is fair on pricing but closes when they want ( not operated by DNR).

Go early if you plan to fish on a Saturday. The noisy boats and jet skis will start after 10a. Plenty of fish to catch if you know how. The park is nice with places to camp and trails to walk.

Very clean beach. They have a full shade pergola in case you need a break from the sun. Parking is right by the beach. I like that option so we aren't lugging our stuff a long way or in case of a downpour. Nice pontoon boat rentals. Easy breezy and beautiful grounds.

This place is so beautiful that Our campaign trip became a awesome memorable experience. Me, my family and friends families were so excited to be here, how two days went by we did not notice. Kids were busy all day. It was late spring, so everything was colorful. We loved the fishing and boating here. I came here before for fishing, but never noticed the camping area. People goes across the state for camping trip, I think everyone needs to go there first before going somewhere else.

Beautiful. Well maintained. Pool, beach, flush toilets in campground. There were patrols through the night. Each space had at least two tables which was very helpful. The personell were so kind and knowledgeable. We will definitely go back.

Great lake medium sized lake. Very clean beach area and lake. Limited pontoon rentals, plus jet skis. Not to busy during the back to school season. Everyone uber friendly. Saw an eagle!!! Great looking park. Don't debate it is great! Have fun indiana lake side.

We love Lieber! Our favorite "teacher on summer break" spot is the pool! It's clean, well-kept, and run by a friendly staff. For a quiet, out of the way adventure you should come explore Lieber!

Great campsites, good for a last minute camping weekend if you like primitive tent camping or prefer non electric sites. The mens bathroom and shower in the non electric campsite needs some repair. No raccoon problems, but lots of turkey vultures fly around after everyone leaves to scavenge. Since most other state parks ate already booked up by early spring, Lieber is good for a last minute decision to camp and is close to other parks and stuff.

Overall a great park. Only criticisms are the limited hours for the pool and the inattention to the state of the restrooms during the busier portions of the weekend.

This place is in the back yard of Indianapolis, so it was as convenient as it gets. Just your typical state park campground. Small campsites all next to each other. Nice people, as is usual at places like this. We're all there to enjoy nature after all. The park was lacking in hiking trails. Theres one short one to a covered bridge. Meh. I never understood the draw of covered bridges. "Oooo, it's like a regular bridge, but with walls and a roof!" The facilities by the campsites with electricity were very run down and gross. The ones by the other campsites, Sunny Acres, were much nicer. All in all. A nice place for a quick escape close to Indianapolis

Beautiful place to camp. Site was plenty open and more than enough room to set up. Many locations from tree coverage to open area perfect for star gazing. Great family pool with a good size slid for kids. The beach was flooded but the lake was beautiful and many types of fish to be hooked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a great outdoor movie night set up by some Wonderful people. All around good experience and would def recommend for a weekend camping trip or longer if u have the time available.

First off the DNR people are beyond awesome and extremely helpful I accidentally got my suv stuck and they didn't charge me to help or anything and as embarrassing as it is they had to bring their backhoe to pull me out and were so friendly the whole time even though I really inconvenienced them. Second the fishing here is some of the best in Indiana just make sure your get your fishing license and bring double the bait you usually bring your going to need it.

We recently camped here, upon arrival front gate attendant and campground attendant was pretty unfriendly. We meet a naturalist from the park named Beth, she was awesome and very informative. The park offered some activities such as a Sunday yoga class, but it was raining. Our campsite was pretty level, the site was clean. The comfort station was very clean and hot showers. They have a nice camp store. The pool is great! The only negative that we had was the main road, which goes to the beach and the boat ramp is the excessive speed of vehicles. This is a safety issue for bicyclists and pedestrians. Overall a nice area and we enjoyed our visit.

Even though it rained Friday and there was mud everywhere on Saturday and Sunday it was fun. We got lots 163 and 164. Beat of both worlds, lots of shade and we also go sun too. It backed up to the woods. The people who ran the camping area were great.

We stopped by to stretch our legs while on a trip. I didn't get to see the falls which I hope to next time. We did walk on the Covered Bridge trail though. One word of advice if you do take the trail is when the trail comes to a "Y" you should hug the side of the trail with the bird house looking thing (for lack of a better word). We failed to do so and instead went "straight" or westward. The trail sort of dead ends if you do that. Anyway its a super short trail.

First time camping here - not as crowded as other places. Attendants quickly cleaned the bathrooms when we complained. Very nice and quiet place!

Very nice place for some family fun. Just like every park there is a fee to enter of which is fine. My only question is why is it a higher cost for out of state guest. If someone is willing to drive from another state just to come to our Indiana parks why would we charge them extra to enter. It should be an honor knowing that our parks are such a pleasure to visit that people drive here from other states just to visit them. They should not be charged more because of it!!!!

Great camping area & plenty of bathrooms. The beach area is currently closed due to flooding. Boating is permitted. If you swim wash with soap & water after. There is blue-green algae growth in some areas. Don't use lake water for cooking. There are water stations & showers available.

Boat ramp was a little crowded today. Still, the wait was less than 15min. It is one low fee to launch for the whole year. Park rangers patrolled and kept an eye out for everyone on the lake today. We jumped off the high rocks and did some tubing. I wondered if it was ok jumping off the rocks or if the ranger would say something. They came by whole we were there and didn't say anything. The kids had a blast. We haven't used the beach, but we have used the fishing pier and the playground. Playground is just alright. For the price for the year though, you cannot beat it. Despite all the boats, the lake was not too choppy either. We try to go once a week. It's a good time. We haven't used the campground and the pool is closed for the year because of the virus. Campground was full, with only primitive sites available according to the signs on the way in. It was a busy place today.

Leiber is not a state park that takes days to go through and see everything but it is a park from some wholesome fun. It's clean, staff is very friendly, and there are some facilities on site that don't show up in other state parks. Wildlife is abundant, hiking shows you all kinds of different mushrooms and plants, camping sites are clean, and so is the beach. From boat ramps, fishing pier, and fish cleaning station. Just a few reasons this park is awesome and it is partnered with Clifty falls so you get to see twice as much.

This use to be one of my favorite places to go but the past few years it's gotten very crowded you can't find a table or shelter there is not enough. The place has gotten a bit trashy and dirty. I've seen a lot of trash and debris. If you do not get there at the Crack of dawn you will not get a table there simply isn't enough. The beach is very nice and large but it too is very crowded. It's just not as nice as it was a couple of years ago.

Super nice grounds are beautiful. Had to give 4 stars though for 2 reasons. 1. The beach has no public restrooms only port o potties and that is disgusting. 2. You can only swim waist deep if that and the beach tends to be a bit crowded because the swimming area is very restricted. The park itself though is very nice!

More like 3.5 star. I Liked camping here. Lots of room and flat grounds. Lake was nice. Rented a pontoon but you can't pull a tube or anything. Shower house/ bathroom was ok but the secluded bathrooms where just outhouses. No plumbing. Other than the outhouses great place to camp.

Beautiful campground and park. We had a wonderful time. Bathrooms were very clean and newly updated. Great place for a get away. We visited during the week during mid June and pretty much had the campground to ourselves. It was quiet, and enjoyable.

The last few times we went here it was awesome. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Great reservoir for swimming. The only reason for the 4 star is that quiet time is not enforced and our last stay I was up til 3am due to loud neighbors.

Beautiful scenery! Water falls were flowing full force. Would recommend stopping here. There is also a full-size covered bridge at the park. Great location for hiking and picnicking. There is a small playground and outhouses.

Nice place been here a handful of times. This weekend many people were loud very late blowing up air mattresses and one group shining their headlights into our site at 2 am keeping us awake. Some rude campers around and not our kind of crowd. Usually good just not this past stay. I'll give it another try though. The waterfalls are awesome and worth the short drive.

Nice SRA and campground with friendly staff. But beware--my daughter and I ventured onto the "accessible" covered bridge trail only to end up going up and down some pretty steep hills and through overgrown marsh areas before coming up to a parking lot. The trail is not as described and is not for the faint of heart!

Fantastic camping. Paved spaces for easy leveling, beautiful views, great shaded sites and the pool and beach were fun for the kids. Bathrooms and bathhouses lacked luster but functioned, so I guess they were better than nothing. It was busy, but never got overly crowded. Most campers were respectful. We'd certainly camp here again.

I checked the DNR website for updates before taking the long trip out. No where online did it say the beach /water front was closed. Upon arrival learned the entire area flooded 8+ feet and you cant even drive down to the beach area parking it is completely under water. I would suggest avoiding this area for a while and calling before driving out. Dissappointing day at my favorite place.

Camping spaces are limited to 6 per site. The site behind us had 14 people in a camper and 2 large tents. Very loud and all of them smoking so much you could smell the cigarette smoke over the campfire smells. Very nice campground other than that and would give 5 stars if not for this inconvenience.

Nice lake for boating and pulling the kids around on the tube-rider. We didn't try fishing at all, but were here specifically for the recreational fun. The beach an swimming area is nice too!

Very nice state park. The main activities seem oriented toward camping, swimming and other lake/water related sports. We hoped they had more hiking trails as do so many other Indiana state parks. But, they one small loop in the woods. This is not the park for hiking.

This place is great- if you are not profiled by the DNR. Sat on the dock fishing with my husband and daughter, we are Caucasian. There was a family, about 10-15 people, on the dock as well, who were Hispanic. The DNR docked his boat- and came straight to us questioning our fishing, if we had license, which we did, if we were keeping the fish so on and so forth. As he was questioning us- the Hispanic family immediately left- I imagine due to probably not having fishing license. My point is- it’s Memorial weekend, the family and I wanted to enjoy some fishing- we were NOT drinking and driving boats, as we had seen all day long- we were not bothering anyone at all- and in my eyes- DNR HAD WAY MORE IMPORTANT things to control than harassing us. I pay for seasonal passes, I help support State Park funds, because I enjoy the state parks. What I do not like is that the DNR picks and chooses to enforce what rules he likes for the time and day.

The park is very clean and has several playgrounds, but it only has one hiking trail and it is very short. The lake looks nice and large. Catarac Falls was really nice and part of this park, but you have to drive it of the park to a different section. Make sure you keep your receipt so you don't have to pay multiple park entrance fees.

We always have nothing but memorable experiences here. The staff is always delightful to work with. We like to visit at least a couple of times each year. We also encounter a lot of hospitality in and outside the park. There are people from everywhere here and the locals are very friendly. We love it!!!!

It was a great park, with very nice campsites. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I was initially attracted to this place because of the advertised low rate for an overnight campsite. My only disappointment was finding out that campers must also pay for admission to the park on top of the fee for camping.

Been coming here for 42 yeas, since I was a kid. Camped here with my kids and now their kids. Staff and DNR have always been friendly and courteous. Great fun for kids and entire family!

I loved it and so did my family. For the people complaining (HUSH). If you wanted five star rated tub then you should have went to the motel down the street. Its camping for crying out loud. Outdoors, raccoons, bugs, no lights. Its a wonderful free feeling and its relaxing. If you go camping DO NOT EXPECT for the outdoor life to accommodate you. I recommend going. GUAREENTEED GOOD TIME for the entire family. Plan ahead and pack everything you need, also make sure to bring storage for food so the raccoons don't get in your food or tent. Other than that get ready for a great time with peace of mind, quietness, no city craziness.

The campgrounds are beautiful, but 3 things you should know: 1. For weekend camping, if you reserve online you must book 2 nights, but if you walk-up you can book for only one night; 2. Check the photos online as the actual sites may not match the descriptions; and 3. The facility double books. So, if you choose a site online, pay for the site, but get there after someone else walks up, pays for the site and sets up, you have to choose another site. No refunds.

Trails are small, but the park is clean and staff is always friendly. Lake is great for boating and the beach is fine when open. Pool is always clean and the water slide is a blast

We camped there for the first time this past weekend. The campground is really lovely however the bathrooms were disgusting. Would like to go there again if the bathrooms get cleaned up. The floor was filthy, the toilet wouldn't flush, the air dryers didn't work.

The place is pretty neat and looks beautiful. Just make sure to bring comfortable sleeping gear if you're gonna camp out, and if it's for more than a day bring plenty to do.

Spending 3 nights here. We did change out or camping spots after we got here. Luckily we got here on a Thursday. We did setup before night one. On day 2 we went to Cataract Upper (largest falls in the state of Indiana) and Lower Falls, the Cataract General Store that had awesome soda options, functional antiques and handy items to purchase, the Roosevelt Little Library, the Ol Schoolhouse Ice Cream Shoppe, then kayaking on the lake. Today we're back at the pool at Lieber and will probably go kayaking again. The Nature Center has a nice little tribute to Colonel Robert Lieber, who purposely started the birth of Indiana State Parks on the centennial of Indiana. One of the downers to me is the state of the restrooms. I've been in better. However, the hospitality of the people who work here, the beauty of the area and our stay here out way my bathroom experiences here, so I leave you with a five star reflection of this lovely weekend stay.
