It was spectacular and lovely when I visited the Ice at the Galleria for the first time. Looking at the massive structure that houses so many large shops in the Galleria was both amazing and charming. The galleria's ice has a view of the direction one is coming from. It is large and contains a seating place for viewers; also, one can observe from the top walk way. Wonderful to be here.

We went as a family to the skating rink on a Tuesday morning the week of Thanksgiving. There was a pretty large group of people skating that day. Unfortunately, there was also a skate camp that was happening at the same time where much of the ice was blocked off. With the amount of money we spend to skate it was a little off putting to restrict the skating area, especially when there is a large crowd and the rink really isn’t large enough to accommodate it all. The ice was also very rough. At $25 per person I would have expected better accommodation to the paying skaters to make the experience more enjoyable.

My kid love this place and Michael is our coach. He nice and very patient with my kid . A little bit outdated but love the opening so I can see and contact with my kid easily. My favorite place when holiday come in too .

I was there yesterday, and I definitely love it, it was my first experience skating on Ice, so I didn’t know how to do that, but I enjoyed and laughed a lot , of course I felt down two times, but this is a beautiful experience. I could go back every week. I would like to learn how to do it well.

I visited this rink while I was on vacation. I went twice, in the afternoon, during the week both times. I found out about this rink on a list of Best Ice Skating Rinks in the USA. It is interesting to have an ice skating rink inside a mall with a skylight above. The mall is nice as well - hotel, office tower, high end and regular shops. The price wasn’t bad. Mall parking was free. I parked on the same level both times but I gather the parking can get pretty tough in this mall. The rink is on the food court level surrounded by restaurants. People can just walk by or eat and watch you skate. There was a locker room below but I didn’t use it, so I don’t know if there are restrooms below. There’s no in and out so I went before or after skating. The ice was nice and it’s a good size considering it’s in a mall in the middle of the food court. The rink’s sitting area had plenty of space. The check in desk is in front of the seating so people not skating or with skaters can’t just walk through.

i want to upgrade my review written 5 months ago from 2 to 4 stars. why such a huge jump? simply i noticed much less injuries due to better ice field condition. no more unexpected pot holes, and the ocean of water at corners is gone. also, no more missing ice at spots which caused imbalance to sudden and unexpected stops. they also changed the stone-age buzino propane ice-cut machine that was always broken and made more smoke than it actually cut ice to a new and electric one that is ultra quiet and actually cut the ice. this certainly needs to be upkept to continue to earn each of my stars! now, for the missing star: 1. they don't cut the ice regularly every 2 hours as they are supposed to or used to in the past, especially on the weekend when it's busy and that's wrong because when it is busy that's when the ice gets bad quicker and as a result increases the potential and rate for injury, the math is simple as that.

Huge mall. Many floors, come with money. Not your everyday/ weekend shop. Special occasions, most stores are exclusive or high end so not your everyday price tags. Overall nice shopping/ hang out experience for young adults/ family

My daughter loves to meet her friends to ice skate at the Galleria. I love that even when it's crowded it's still enough space for everyone to skate and have fun. Even beginners who fall often lol. The price is reasonable and we always have a nice time.

I did not skate, just watched, everyone on the ice was having a great time. The attendance that were there to assist skaters where very attractive to the customers. The ice started to melt and they got the customer off the ice to prevent accidents.

This rink is often busy, especially during the holidays and weekend, so the ice gets rough pretty quick. Not great if you're an avid skater but a good spot to casually come skate with friends. Admission and rental is $25 which is pretty pricy. There is no discount for bringing your own skates. But there is also no time limit so you could be there basically all day.

The staff at the rink are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and are very professional. I brought my son and they could have turned us away since they were closing but instead they focused on making it a great experience for my son. They saw that I had a scooter chair for my knee and they showed me the easiest path to get to watch my son. I highly recommend this rink and I thank the staff for making this a memorable experience.

Placed right in the heart of the Galleria the rink is surrounded by great restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. Coaches are there to help out to. The atmosphere is wonderful and joyous.

25 dollars per person wouldve been alot more decent if the rink didnt have dirty watery puddles, better rentals rather than plastic blue ones with buckles instead of laces which cause blisters and hurt after awhile, and overall a cleaner place.

Good experience if you’re a new skater or simply looking for a fun experience at the Galleria with friends and family. However the ice is very watery, and dirty. Once i fell my sweater was smelling bad and somehow stained *gray*. The rental skates arent great quality and can hurt after sometime. However, during christmas time there is a very pretty tree, and its a wonderful experience to skate there.

For one person on its website they say it’s $15 but when you pay up there it’s $22 and I didn’t even pay for a locker or socks! But it was a good experience just a heads up

A lil pricey (around $50 for 3 kids ages 10 & under) which included skate rentals. But the kids enjoyed. So that's all that matters.

Great place to go skating. Ledge all the way around the rink for people who aren't so great on the ice which is handy. Great atmosphere and lovely with the christmas tree in the middle. Good places all close by. Lockers for $1 so you can place your valuables, shoes etc in when going out to skate. Not overally big lockers but good enough size. Skate price includes skate hire.

I'm an experienced skater and have been going here for years. Recently the ice has been really bumpy and wet. Some of this is expected during heat of the summer as it's difficult to keep the ice cold, but today was the worse I have ever seen. The ice was so bumpy it was like a roller coaster. Also they charged us for skate rental when we had our own. Found out later on their website they shouldn't have done that.

I bring my children here every chance we get! The staff is knowledgeable and excellent, it is immediately apparent that they all have love for the ice. The private instructors are excellent when it comes to one on one training. Do not hesitate to come and stay for the day!

Great ice skating in the heart of the Galleria! If you can't ice skate you can at least watch while you snack! At Christmas time they have a beautifully decorated tree in the center, always very beautiful. We stayed at the Westin so we skated every day, what a treat!

If you're visiting the Galleria for the first time and you have children with you or if you'd like to just go ice skating it's a fun experience something I used to do when I was younger guy younger man and it's a child so I would say anywhere from any age has definitely be careful to that Ice is very hard when you fall on it you could hurt yourself so have good insurance

I can't rave enough about the Learn to Skate program at the Galleria. For someone who doesn't know "where to start", it's all here. It started for my daughter as simply wanting an ice skating birthday party. The package includes the class. From there, it blossomed into participating in the Nutcracker program, which allows all students, at any level, to participate. Currently, she's working on her solo program for the Christmas showcase with her coach, Michael, a beginner-level coach with a great personality and lots of patience. His passion for ice skating is evident. She's had the opportunity to make friends, as well as build her confidence. The coaches are of all levels of experience and they teach the different LTS classes so that you get to know if the personality fits with your child when it comes time to select a private coach. So many benefits to being part of the program and I look forward to continuing with them!

This rink made me open my eyes and realize that I don't kno much about skating rinks. The ice felt so sturdy and whenever the ice was scratched the ice I could see the sparkling snow I left behind. There were a couple folks practicing nutcracker, along with their coaches. Beautiful coach.

The site offers a very cheap price for the entry. The average place for ice skating is of up to 20$, this was worth 19$ per person. Very great experience overall, the site closes a little too early, but its estimated to be joyful !there is also lots of fast food places in the buding!

My daughter has been talking lessons with Sasha for 6 months and we love it! My daughter was only 3.5 years old when we started talking the lessons. Shasha made her and is very comfortable, and now my daughter is a confident little scatter learning and improving under Sasha's mentorship. Sasha is not only teaching, she is helping us to choose the scares and educated us as parents to maximally improve the results and experience. Overall we are very happy with Ice rink at Galleria, and will continue to take private and group classes here.

Bring your own socks! Lol Super friendly staff. GREAT place but 1 pair of socks (that your only going to wear 1 time then throw away) is $5. So for a family of 4, it's $20 for one time use socks, on top of skate rental, entry fee & tax.

While we enjoyed skating here, the management of the venue was lackluster. It is WAY too crowded. Every time we went since mid 2020 the benches have been shoulder to shoulder. There is no effort to keep people at a distance at all. I have seen people not wearing masks there multiple times during peak covid months. There were also times where we went during stated public skating hours and found the rink closed with no special notice.

We were skating when shots rang out in the food court. A man was shot in the leg next to Chilli's. The skating rink staff took control of the situation quickly. One of the skating instructors took us into a dressing room area below the rink and locked the door. It was a scary situation for everyone but thank God we are safe. Thanks to all the staff because they did a great job keeping us safe. We will be back to the rink the next time we're in Houston

Loved it. Ice skating during the holidays at this location was fun. The Galleria provided shopping for family and friends that didn't want to skate while the rest of us enjoyed gliding across the ice. Afterwards, there was an abundance of food choices ranging from a full meal to light snacks. The skating and food were all within a fair price range. Average of $38 person food and skating.

We have been going to the Galleria Ice for a few years now. The manager and skating director are very cold( get it!). The skating coaches are a bit warmer. Since COVID, the facilities are maintained better. Overall, I would recommend it, but only since our choices are limited.

Been coming to this ice rink couple of times for the passing one month. Every time I am here I feel relaxed with the ambiance and this activity. The gentleman in the service area for ice skate shoes are always super nice, very attentive. My biggest concern was not to bump into anyone or other people bump into me. So far, my concern was unnecessary, during the day time on weekdays, it is usually not full at all, and people do watch where they go, so you can just concentrate on yourself. The trainers who works there are very knowledgeable, super patient and great with teaching. Sometimes the ice is bit too slippery to be on but It's manageable. Love the environment, will continue come back And get better at ice skating!

After 2 years taking my son to skate in this rink, we had lots of wonderful memories here and had seen a huge improvement in management and classes as well. My son started here from knowing nothing about skating and growing into a happy hockey player at a very young age, thanks to their public classes and private coach (Thanks, Coach Rufino). It is such a friendly, welcoming environment. Staffs are nice and patient and their manager and director are always out there helping and talking to customers. Of course, nothing is perfect. We had an incident of price dispute about child ticket recently and it wasn't being handled properly by the staff. After reporting it to the management, the issue was resolved immediately and I received an in-person apology from management during my next visit. No harms done and we are still loving the place.So, if you are like us, enjoying a quality ice rink and warming staff, come to Galleria. If there is anything you want to discuss, do what I do, talk to or email Paul or Michelle and they will take care of it.

My children enjoy skating here. It has a great atmosphere. The instructors are awesome as well. If you are learning to skate, I recommend trying to schedule "off peak" shopping hours so the ice is not as crowded, or try early Sunday morning lessons with a coach.

A fun place to go with your friends and family. If necessary, you can attend classes at a set time or receive private instruction from an instructor. If you are an ice lover, you may be frustrated with the corner area facing the restaurant area. The area's ice melts 99% of the time.

I really enjoy ice skating so going is always fun for me. A ticket is $16 but you can buy extra socks for and extra $4 if you've forgotten your own. There are lockers in the area where you get your skates but you have to get a token for a dollar and a new token must be inserted each time you open the locker. There are restrooms downstairs where you get your skates.

It's amazing if you can't find any ice rinks you can just shop then glide on the ice then you can get food at the food court and food stands if you have kids they will truly enjoy this experience, and besides YOUR ICE SKATING IN A MALL!! It's so fun! Go try it. I'm going ice skating here again on July 4th come here then go see the fireworks 💥. I hope you guys have a blast. Happy 4th

There is no time limit, no it's not an all day entry. A one time fee to be on the ice rink, and to rent skates. Only thing is you cannot leave the the ice rink area, if you do then you will have to repay to get back in so you are forced to stay in there.

Fun but small ice rink. Loses a star for safety as there was no ice monitor and there were skaters doing all sorts of things on the ice that endangered others. One guy was figuring skating wildly and I saw him knock a kid over and had quite a few other near misses.

So me and my dad went to this place and uh the skates were horrible but I understand why the mall is very old maybe in the 1980’s something like that oh ya and my dad went here when he was 30 or something he said it was so much people he hated it rip ps. I only like this place because I can skate oh ya and the ice is horrible..

The rink was neat but it's really expensive to skate here. For just to get on ice its $12.50 and if you need skates it's an extra $3.50. A total of $16 just to ice skate was ridiculous I thought. I didnt actually skate because of the price.

We went for a family trip during spring break. It was pretty expensive, but the mall is expensive. It wasn't freezing cold like most ice skating rinks, which was a plus. However, the ice was in terrible condition to skate on.
