Beautiful beach, sloping gently towards reef protected shoreline. formerly know as Sherwoods, the city & county of Honolulu officially renamed it to Hunananiho. Plenty of free parking, public Restrooms available also. Let's hope a new roof is coming soon on one of them. You will want to wear shoes or sandles until you reach the actual beach. The long needled pines drop hundreds of little, hard, pointy cones that will hurt most feet.

I went to explore the area with my dogs and don't advise walking without long pants and closed shoes. Everything is overgrown and nothing is being mowed like it used to be. But it's all good. We walked along the fence line by the highway towards McD's.
