Reviews of Diamond Head Tennis Center
7:00 AM-2:00 PM active Pickelball scene. Court is taped over tennis court lines. Plenty of parking. A little crowded on the paddle ladder, played once after 30 minute wait. Then went to breakfast. Friendly group overall, play level ranges. Husband was a beginner though can keep a rally with light competitive play, this was still welcomed. Thanks all!
Crowded most days. Lots of benches to sit if you want to watch matches. No lights so plan to finish by sunset.
Rating it this low just due to the fact that the facilities need to be upgraded for their biggest draw, Pickleball. Other than that, everything else, from the location to the people there, is great!
My son and I had a great afternoon here. 10 courts in great condition. We used court 5. Diamond head towers overhead for a spectacular view. The locals were very nice and so were the birds.
Only 4 courts and you can see the waiters. However play is competitive and fun. Nice mix of locals and visitors from all over the world. Look for Kimo (white beard big smile). He’ll get you connected!
Very nice to play Pickelball and wish the city and county of Honolulu makes permanent Pickelball courts
Always a great place for tennis and pickleball. Just watch out for some drama from rude people.
I've been playing Pickleball at this court. Between hours of 7am-1pm. Great matches and people. Willing to help teach the game.
This place is totally cool. But beware of folks not actually honoring their clock (a clock you set to show start time per court in the waiting area) start times which you will see upon getting there. They will tell you this or that upon you questioning their start time. Some folks are really good about giving up courts at the end of their 45 mins or will simply ask if they can just finish their game before relinquishing. Others will say that they had to squeegee play, squeegee play (on a rainy day) when you visibly saw them play the whole time (no squeegee) for beyond their 45 minutes hahaha! All in all great place but just be aware of the inner workings.
my sister played here when she was there. nice facility.
I didn't go the tennis courts.
I enjoyed the lovely and less crowded park to go walk.
The court looks great and clean, however I never played here. Make sure you read the instructions posted by the entrance gate and follow the steps to schedule your game day and time and length as well.
Correction - 10 courts. Yes, true, they are in varying stages of deterioration, but they're getting resurfaced soon! Still very playable, friendly crowd, good clock system, beautiful surroundings. Bring your Aloha!
10 courts, day time play, closes at 7 pm, clock system and waiting benches for 45 minute intervals. Has water fountain and public bathroom with shower, free. Cliques on the bad note, a woman named jackie tries to set court time for friends.
If u want to play tennis with little wait, this place is fabulous. Just opposite Kapiolani park and 1/4 mile from Waikiki ocean front, you can't beat it. And it's free!! Aloha
Well kept older facility with good parking, clean courts, and restrooms. Separate pickle ball courts too.
This place is amazing! Arguably the most beautiful public tennis park anywhere in the world. You cannot go uninspired when you play here.
Such a lovely group of people and fun tennis!
Though I never played tennis here, I played pickle ball here. It’s a great friendly environment.
Great place to enjoy your play time!
Courts are in great shape. Use the clocks to set 45 minute intervals.
The facility could use some maintenance but that's readily offset by the great location and welcoming folks who play there.
Nice setting with parking and 8 well kept courts and time management clock system to get fair playtime!@
Multiple courts for tennis and pickleball with a stunning view of Diamondhead. Bathrooms available.
Nice courts.. fun place for pickleball and tennis 🎾 …
Nice clean courts and amazing pickleball crowd on Sundays.
When do they play on Saturday, Sundays, and the weekdays?
Pickleball open play on 4 courts from early morning to early afternoon.
I love this place. The location is perfect, botton of Diamond head. People are so nice as well!
10 nicely resurfaced public courts with parking and bathrooms.
Good courts. Know the clock system before taking a court.
Great people. Best court on the island.
Parking usually gets filled up by by park goers
Well organised and published join in Pickle Ball, well maintained.
It's a great court, I loved it.
Great community here. Sundays busy.
Tennis courts are crowded as usual.
Nice and cool for a tennis match.
Go for the TREES they beautiful
Chreey()!!!
Thanks
Bra love you
Good courts freindly people
Love playing here
Great park
Excepting playing Tennis, Parking at Kapiolani Park can be difficult. The tennis courts off onstreet parking for FREE
ㅡFun memories from traveling with my dadㅡ
I had a lot of fun playing with the locals.
I'm not good at the language, but I had a good time playing tennis. The culture of setting up time for the next person and hitting it was amazing. I wondered if anyone would come here to play tennis, but there are so many locals coming to play. The parking lot is also large.
The match with the local uncle is fun
Feel free to enjoy tennis with anyone for free
