Apart from not having the right hours for open skating, and having to come back because they were closing at 3 pm when we arrived. The schedule for open skating is not very clear but the concession stands helped us figure it out and we came back at 5 pm for the last open skating time of the day

Admission and skate rental were decent price. Worth it in my opinion. But the skates really hurt our feet. If you're going to go more than once, I'd definitely buy your own pair of skates. Very cool to experience though. They definitely new to invest in more "walkers" for the beginners. Wasn't nearly enough.

Our kids have played hockey here for years. Free learn to skate and learn to play days. Regular open ice times, well stocked concessions with alcohol available.

It was my granddaughter's first college hockey game. Place was clean. We enjoyed our experience. Back for the last game of the season. Pretty cold on the stands this time.

The rink here is great, the prices are reasonable, and the parking is rarely a hassle. The snack bar is where I can't give it five stars. I recently got a slushie here and less than an hour after I finished it, I started to have terrible digestion (you know what that means). I think it was the slushie, because everything I had eaten up until then was completely normal. Maybe it wasn't the slushie, just wanted to warn others just in case lmao. And one more thing. I once found mold in my sprite from the snack bar. I'm not trying to hate on this place, I just want to put it our there that the snack bar may not be as well maintained as it should be.

We held my son's 10th birthday here and i highly recommend it. Cost included lunch skate rental and the use of the party room for the entire time we were there. It was extremely reasonable and the kids had a blast!

Went here for a hockey game. The bleacher we're nice. They had a glassed in area also to watch from where it was warner. Looked like a birthday party was going on in there also. They had a Consession stand that was open. Appeared to be 2 sheets of ice

Pretty good place! Concessions are reasonably priced, plenty of room to skate, the ice skates are in decent shape for a rental place. There's plenty of space to lounge around to take a break from skating for a bit. Planning to come back with some of my friends!

Adult leagues here have been really well run thus far. Tried to change our schedule once to even later games but when all the teams promised a revolt they realized it wasn't in anyone's best interest. Refs have been fair in keeping play moving and in check. We'll likely continue to play here. Rink has 2 sheets of ice and good size lockers with their own showers and restrooms with hot water. Very convenient. They're clean, maybe slightly better than average for a hockey rink. Rest of the facility seems in good order as well.

Decent place. The ice is decent and there is a pro shop there! The referees are really good and will catch fights, penalties, etc. I've only been there once so this may not be the best review. Overall, Patterson Ice Center is a decent place to play hockey at.

First time skating here. Open-skate was fun. The rink is huge, skates in good condition, atmosphere was great. The only issue was that the skating assist things (not sure what they are officially called) were all being used and so had to wait and be ready to grab one when someone finally let one go. I would recommend the employees monitor the use and ask patrons that clearly know how to skate well not to use them.

It was really affordable! Open skating is free if you own your own skates and the rental price is really fair. They have an ATM and lockers inside for your stuff and a concessions stand which is open during open skate. They have lots of tools for kids to use that don't know or have never learned to ice skate. I highly recommend this place for ice skating, we had a great time!

Great place to skate during the summer its not to crowded and the rental skates are not horrible. They are The home to the Greater Grand Rapids Figure Skating club, and its always fun to come and watch some figure skating. The skate shop does great sharpening and blade replacement. I highly recommend attending a hocky game or openskate. Its an awsome family friendly spot.

Two NHL sheets, ice quality is usually fair to good. The facility is in nice shape, the staff is friendly and help full overall. This is THE place for drop in hockey in GR, M-W-F at lunch and Fri/Sat nights after Labor Day. The website has a calendar that has been recently updated, they also offer a printed copy by each main entrance. The rental skates are 50/50, they have some lace-up hockey skates that aren't bad, and a lot of hard-shell plastic skates that are junk. No house teams in their adult leagues, so it might take a while to finesse your way onto a team here. Make sure to stop by the pro-shop and try a Flat Bottom V on your wheels.

We went to see an ice skating competition. There were 2 rinks. You could sit on bleachers inside the rink or look in from the lobby. The concession stand was good and prices were reasonable. There were several vendors at the event we attended.

Nice place, clean locker rooms, staff at snack bar very friendly and helpful. As a sled hockey player and being disabled, don't like the long ramps to get to locker rooms. Isn't 100% handicap accessible
