A great place to skate! The check-in and rental process is smooth, there's both skates and roller blades, and a ton of places to sit. Be advised, the kid assistant frames are an additional rental as well. The rink is smooth without issues, and there's even a mini skate park. Every 15 minutes they play a game like splitter or limbo, and play child friendly pop music. The smoke can be a bit much, but the lights are neat. Highly recommend!

We found out about skate lessons several weeks ago and enrolled our daughter. She's learning a lot and really enjoys herself. Skateland is clean, organized and does a great job practicing social distancing - highly recommended!

We really enjoy going, however would like to see better pricing options. $36 for 1 kid and 1 adult to skate for 2 hrs is pretty high. Gym membership, ymca are all lower than that for an entire month. We'd definitely come more often if more reasonable options were available.

This was our first visit to Skateland. The kids loved it! It was so much better than the last skating rink that we used to frequent in Washington. The rink was large, and had amazing music, and fog machine. They even have arcade games for non skaters. We can't wait to have a party here sometime!!

Great atmosphere for the whole family. They play skate games through the night and the 1st Tuesday of the month is cheap skate night. My favorite game is the dice game even if I don't win.

Great experience! Went here to celebrate my son's 8th birthday. They had the table set up and service was excellent! The staff made all the birthday children feel special with individual time for each. I highly recommend this skating rink. We will be back for sure!!

We went for a birthday part. My daughter has a lot of fun! They have balance braces available for kids who aren't too sure on their skates. They have a variety of sizes so my 2 year old was even able to skate!

Great place for all- reminds me of the small town roller rink that I spent part of my childhood at. Nice sized rink clean, and lots of tables to sit and watch if your not skating. Skaters can bring their own skates or rent them from the rink (both traditional skates and roller blades). There are some food and drink options as well as electronic arcade games that kids can play for points/prizes. (They recently switched from tokens and tickets to game cards for the arcade games which disappointed the kids, but is more like what other arcade type places use).

You can bring your own skates but they have inline and roller skates available for rent. They have walkers on wheels to help unstable kids keep their balance while they learn. Place is in good shape. They periodically interrupt the free skating with skating games. Great place for kids birthday party.

I've been skating here for 45 years. Skate Country. Skate north. Incrediroll. Skate land. And still today. Taught my kids here and now have 12 grandkids who I will be bringing very soon. Not all but 1 at least. At a time. We all know you can't please everyone these days. So there's always someone who will bash and write a bad review. I tell you Dante and Romina are very good people. I've ran into her at church several times and Dante has allowed me to cut some carpet rolls up in the parking lot even on some occasions. Both are Good Hearted, hard working, and knowledgeable for any questions you have on skates. I run into Dante at the skate park downtown now and then. He always says Hi and I'm always thinking this old man is gonna hurt himself out here. Lol. People say prices are high but in reality and all they put Into this I see them as fair. They are fair on so many different levels. So much so that maybe, Just maybe Dante will give me a free pass for my time in writing this for you all. But if he doesn't then he doesn't. And ill have to let him know when I catch him at the rink. Anyways im 52yrs old now and still love skating. Fast Skating too. My point of this is don't let any bad review steer you away. This is Good All Ameri an Skating with Good down to Earth Owners! Keep up the Good Work you both are doing. I Support you 100% with your bussiness! I think your doing fabulous. Tending to a hundred kids at a time is so not an easy task. So before you start bashing. Ask yourself how much better u think you could do it. Thanks for taking time to read this review. Since there are only two rinks in des moines it's hard to give a bad review. But I will say the floors are plastic, unpolished and peeling up in spots. Dangerous considering people are rolling over nothing but lifted plastic and dust. I wouldn't touch the food, and I always bring my own skates and I already have experience skating. Overall it's not the worst but it's definitely not 5 stars. Kid friendly, other than the scary floor. Ill come again for sure.

Recently went here with a friend just because I had the day off work and nothing to do. Environment is friendly also made a couple of new friends. I think I'm going to get more into skating because it has always been fun. Just ordered my own personal skates so I can practice on my own. Plan on going here a lot more often.

I wanted to thank the people at Skateland who made my daughter's birthday party extra special for her and extra easy for me (mom)! Kelly was on top of everything for the party and ready to go when I walked in the door. She kept the events moving and was very efficient, professional and fun to work with. She was on top of getting me extra skate mate passes and cousins for the arcade game . The facility itself was great in their offerings and my son was able to be entertained for 2 hours in the arcade while I guided the party and had time to talk with other parents. All I had to bring was the cake! They handled everything else. A special thank you to Kelly and management who refunded the cost if the extra share mates i didn't use and the people behind the beverage counter who were so quick to refill drinks! I highly recommend them for your party needs! We had 23 kids and i don't know how they did it so wel .

The is the best birthday venue for kids I've been to. (And a great rink too.) This is very well managed with reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pizza is better than a lot of pizza restaurants. Keep up the good work!

The prices were great! Love the pizza and drinks. The price was awesome. But the music was horrible. We asked the DJ to play a few requests and he refused.. he was rude. Only played rap the entire night pretty much. There were disco balls and lights, would have been nice to hear some disco music... blast from the past... for the older people.. and we are 23.. We don't need to listen to rap the entire night... should mix it up!

I’ve been going too this rink since as long as I can remember, I’ve seen this rink Change and grow but continue too treat each and every customer as family. I truly recommend going too the rink for anyone wanting time with friends or family or just cause your bored. There’s always a variety of arcade games and activities on the floor. I recommend everyone give it a try if I can skate and I can’t even walk without tripping then I know you can too. Takes practice but always worth the wait and fun learning beside your friends.🙂 Thank you too skate land and there wonderful team and owners Dante and Romina Muse for making each and every experience a great one💛

Been there a couple times and it's great! Gets pretty crowded on Wednesday night's but that 1$ skate is very decent. I've heard good things about their pizza on Fridays. I hope they can look into their hearts and play "Everytime we touch" by cascada cause that would ramp this up to a 6/5 kinda place.

Wonderful place. Kids have lots of fun. They rent skates and blades and have private lessons too. They have a few arcade games at the side for when the kids are catching their breath. Great place to have a birthday. They also have a small restaurant there. The place is not open every day for the public so look at the hours before you go.

It was very nice overall. It had a nice rink that was very easy to skate on. My daughter had never skated before so I was teaching her here. The employees were friendly. My one complaint is that the rollerskates available for rent there have very worn brakes. It made it very difficult to stop. They should be replaced.

The place is great. Excellent prices and very, very clean. The staff are creative with games for the kids, plus parents are allowed to be on the skating floor without skate to help the little ones skate. I definitely recommend visiting this place and having fun.

I really like this place. Good sized rink and fun for the whole family. I would give it 5 stars if you could bring food (without being charged a hefty table reservation fee)in and if the price was a little lower. That being said they did start upgrading their skates lately (although you can bring your own) and they also have fun games out on the rink. They also have a skate ramp and there are some incredibly talented skaters....only you aren`t allowed to spectate as you can`t stop next to the wall. Food could be better. They do sell pizza there but it isn't very good imo. But then I am not going to a skate place to eat but to skate. Oh and they have skate mates for little ones learning how to skate.

Great place friendly staff. Game room. My only negative was $35 dollars for 3 of us to get in with skates and 1 Walker. And you get ran out by 100 daycare kids cutting people off. Spent 50 bucks and got chased out by it being to crowded.

This place is just as fun now as it was when I was a kid. Upbeat music, fun deejays, arcade games, concession stand. If you're here with a little one who is new to skating, spring to rent the walker on wheels. It really helped my 5 year old have a good time.

Nice little place but I wish they would've left the rink bigger instead of making it smaller for more seating. Roller skates were ok, however the sole inside was so worn that the screws to the wheels were visible and pushed into my heel leaving painful bruise & blisters. I'll bring some sole inserts next time

I attended this establishment and l, regrettably, made the poor decision of wearing a solid-coloured T-shirt. Upon entry, I was mistaken by a young gentleman for a member of a rival gang and was shot directly in the stomach and stabbed several times in the chest. I was given a full refund. It was a great time, would wholeheartedly recommend.

I used to come here every weekend but I just can't anymore but when I can I love it. Yes there are usually lots of people but that isn't too bad for me. I love skating in the little skatepark esque area and over all it's a great place.

I like it. I get why they do the birthdays first but it gets annoying. I would reccomend bringing shoes you dont like if you get in-line skates. If you lose them or someone steals them they keep one of your shoes.

They don't have adult skating and it closed way too damn early now they do have one hours is keep some open longer but I've heard of some places even out-of-state staying open at least two like 10 to 6 a.m.
