Reviews of Tuttle Park Community Center
I came here to go to the skatepark. It is very well put together. there are low curbs and small quarter pipes as well as larger obstacles. The concrete is very smooth and so far the other skaters have been very nice. You do have to be careful if you shoot your board out on one side that it doesn't go into the Mucky water. Other than that its pretty good. Easy parking and its next to the basketball courts near the rec center.
I briefly visited Tuttle Park for my first time yesterday [9-1-2022]. While at Tuttle Park, I attempted to visit the Tuttle Park Community Center [or Tuttle Park Recreation Center] for my first time but that center had been closed.
I have spent much time in the "University District" neighborhood of Columbus since 1971 but had never before visited Tuttle Park.
An OSU student group with which I am familiar had scheduled a "pizza party" yesterday "on the south side of the Tuttle Community Center"; that announcement is what had prompted my visit to Tuttle Park last night.
When arriving at Tuttle Park, I had not been able to find a "pizza party" or even a group of people who may be OSU students who may have planned a "pizza party."
I left Tuttle Park after having walked around the building once [and having taken several pictures "on behalf of Google Maps"] and then having checked one final time "on the south side of the Tuttle Community Center" before leaving.
I had assumed that the Tuttle Community Center would have been open until 9:00 p.m. last night because incorrect hours for the Tuttle Park Community Center currently appear on Google Maps.
I will attempt to correct the hours of the Tuttle Community Center that currently appear on Google Maps, once the Labor Day holiday has passed, so that they will match the hours that currently appear on the Tuttle Community Center webpage: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Mon.-Fri.); closed Saturdays and Sundays.
This is place to lots of activities for all ages, friendly staff and almost free activities. I really like this place
This pool is very well hidden, you have to know its there. But if you do it's a jem. The staff there is great. We do swim lessons and swim team there.
Solid new little skatepark in Columbus. Concrete is grippy but not rough. Good mix of medium difficulty features and a nice sized bowl. The cons are that it is pretty tight considering how much use it will get being on OSU's north campus. It's not finished yet (12/31/21) but it's easy to see how it could be overwhelmed relatively quickly. Happy to have it.
Nice walking trail by the river. Trail loops back to alley entrance with many, many steps up.
Never been inside the recreation center itself but the cricket field is well made and good for practice sessions.
Futsal and tennis courts with a nice open field! Also have bathrooms nearby and a running trail
Parking lot is a bit run down and it's def off the beaten track. Staff is super nice, though, and the facilities are a welcome way to get some exercise in...
Park was decently clean just wish people would quit throwing trash on the ground. There are a lot of trash cans there plus 2 dumpsters. Please pick up after yourself and encourage anyone else around you to please pick up.
Clean, well maintained. Facilities for a lot of different sports, and a public swimming pool. Badminton, basketball, football, children's play area and lot more. There's also free parking and it's right by the Olentangy trail, can be accessed by bikes easily. It's nice to just walk around in the area as it's clean, breezy and right by the Olentangy River! Can spot a lot of ducks roaming around lazily! Great place to visit if you are willing to do outdoor sports and activities with friends or family. The kids will love it too!
So many great affordable programs for kids!!! Staff are SAINTS!! So kind, patient & helpful. The ANTI- government worker... If it's not their job or they don't know answer. THEY FIND OUT!! Great with all the kids. Genuinely like their jobs & interacting with the kids. This is the BEST SPENT TAX DOLLARS!!
I love the rec center! They have a basketball court and this large back room, plus a craft room inside. Outside, there are some fields and an outdoor hockey rink in additional to the normal park swing set and activities.
Maybe the best skatepark in the MidWest. And it hasn't even opened yet
Near my house and very beautiful Suitable for all kinds of sports and wonderful swimming pool and olentagy river along with which you can ride your health a lot
I grew up at Tuttle Fieldmy backyard ran up against the park on the northwest side of W.Norwich. There were wonderful mulberry trees to climb, we all ate the berries, stained our clothes 😀
Tuttle Park is a flood plain for the Olentangy River. When the Indians lived here, they hunted deer and small animals where Tuttle sets today. As kids we used to dig up arrowheads all over the park, and we wished they would build a pool
There's a pool now and I'm glad to see a neat place kids can still play!--Susi Soler
A small but efficient Rec Center that's part of Columbus Metropolitan Recreation and Parks. We got our Leisure there card with no problem. Great service and friendly staff.
This place has one of the nicest, probably THE nicest, city public pools in Columbus. It's right on the edge of OSU campus. $1 admission, per day. Can't beat that price.
Cheap public pool, lots to do like several baseball diamonds, cricket courts, tennis and field hockey courts, even a dodgeball court. There's a walk-jog, lots of space, a shelter house, kids playground, and free parking
Best rec center for family fun.. Clean & orderly pool & playground .. Great trails to walk in a well maintained area .. Right off the river.. Wildlife amongst the trails
Nice area near central osu campus, 4 baseball diamonds, tennis court, basketball court, night time lights and a hockey rink. Right along the olentangy bike path
Two full size cricket grounds..
Nice park close to campus and the olentangy trail. Drinking fountain at playground including bottle fill and pet watering dish, yay
Our kids love it so of course we do too.
This was a good pacles ppl are so soooooooo nice and it's a great place to bring kids and it's just amazing and it's a dollar you need a Leisure card and only 50 cents
There is a canoe launch in the park for the Olentangy river.
Nice badminton inside, and great place to play roller hockey or soccer in the back. Fun place to go with friends
So great! Cheap public pool, access to bike trail, and outdoor roller rink.
Incredible course offering for kids and adults FREE. Playground sports fields bike trail. More.
Although I've never visited the inside I will say I do sincerely appreciate the outdoor water fountain which is the only one for miles on the olentangy bike trail.
Nice place, clean and seems very safe. As always keep an eye on the little ones!
Just had an epic birthday party. All of the staff was helpful and punctual. Kids had a blast.
Great classes and Mary and Tish are amazing instructors! I love all my projects.
Great fields for all sports, an out hockey rink and good jungle gym for kids
Great spot. Just make sure to leave by 11pm or you will get towed.
Tuttle is the best! The instructors are kind and helpful, and almost every class at the center is FREE!
Great place to wait for a tow truck or two when your bike gets a flat tire.
Only visited here to park for the Olentangy Trail. Center allows trail users to park as long as not over 24 hours.
Love the park and the pool been going there since I was young
We really enjoy being there . Staff is so helpful.
Great staff and great badminton session Wednesday evening.
Lots of classes available! Learned a new skill by making pottery!
Enjoying urban walk in the park.
Good place to tailgate. Good parking. Not far from the Horseshoe.
Good place. In disrepair but that's mainly because it's so heavily used by the community
Look what the city of Columbus gave us for Christmas!! Yay!!
Great place, they have nice gym and stuff
Great place, very nice surroundings and very safe.
Good Cricket Ground
calm and quiet place......
Great community center with lots of activities and great staff.
Nice little park, lots of pokestops.
lovely park and very friendly staff
It doesn't have much, but it makes up for that in character.
This place needs more than one water fountain
The only thing lacking was a grill to complete my party!
Great swim instructors free swim lessons
cant beat the price! limited open swim hours
Great quiet park, close to Ohio state
Great place for deck hockey!
Awesome swimming at a super price!
