Highly recommend! Went with my wife for a casual date and had a great time, especially because we’ve severely limited what and where we’ve gone during the pandemic. The bays are well spaced out, there’s a number of games to play using the axes, and you can order food and drinks (including alcohol) from the place next door which came within 10 minutes. We had a great time!

Had a ball! This was the first time I ever went axe throwing. I am very competitive, and I took this as a challenge. I must say this was tougher than I thought. The fact that you can bring your own food in, is a major plus. I'm most certainly going to do this again, without a doubt.

Employees are super cool and informative. They kept helping our group correct our throwing technique until nearly everyone could hit the target (if not a bullseye) with ease. They're upbeat energy also helped keep everyone positive even when we weren't yet getting the hang of it. Wish I knew about the BYOB policy in Columbus as I would have definitely taken advantage of that. Next time perhaps.

We went for a small date night as beginners, and had an absolute blast! The employees were extremely helpful in teaching us one on one how to improve our individual throwing techniques and we saw improvement immediately! They also have games on an iPad to help with point guides and to keep track of scoring with a goal in mind.

Great experience. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff work really hard to make everyone feel comfortable. It's a great time for two people or even a huge group like a bachelor/bachelorette party. You get a training session before you time starts so show up a bit early.

We were looking for something fun to do for the fam during on our first night in Columbus and found this place on Google maps. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Only reason I couldn't give it 5 stars was because they don't offer food or drinks, just a small vending machine with drinks. You can get food delivered their but would be nice to be able to get a quick appetizer and a soda while you throw and not have to wait for delivery.

We booked an hour for a girls get together. All of my friends were from out of town, and we all had a blast. Highly recommend for a fun, competitive, new skill to learn with a group. The staff was super friendly and helpful. You can BYOB and snacks. Hard to come by these days. Walking distance to some great bars afterwards. Only recommend scheduling more time! It goes by quick.

Fantastic experience! Booked online with 3 friends and had a blast! Social distancing guidelines were in effect and enforced consistently so I felt safe. Action was fun and quick to pick up. We did so much damage to the boards in they let us take a slat home! Newly introduced digital scoring made it simple to keep up with bragging rights between friends. BYOB (bring your own beer) feature makes this place hard to beat...but they also sell drinks! Will come again for sure. Such a fun, out of the ordinary experience!

Amazing Holiday Party Experience! We hosted a department Holiday Party at Dueling Axes in Downtown Columbus and it was a huge SUCCESS! Mike and his staff were very friendly and attentive! We spent a good three hours there for our party, but honestly could've stayed for another three - our time there was amazing and nobody wanted to leave. My company had our office holiday party at Dueling Axes and it was a great time! Most of the attendees were first time axe throwers, but the staff at Dueling Axes were able to instruct everyone on how to hit the board. We had a great time playing. It was very convenient to be able to bring our own food and drinks for lunch. Mike was great to work with in setting up the event, and went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed the day of the party. Absolutely cherish my time spent here. Instructors were helpful and recommended game types based on our groups interests. We had a group of 7 and an hour reservation. We easily could have spent 2-3 hours as the time goes quick because of how fun it is! If you have a similar sized or larger group I'd strongly recommend getting at least 2 hours so everyone can really enjoy themselves without having to watch the clock. I will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun way to spend some free time doing something a bit different!

What a fun night! Myself and 12 of my friends spent the evening here and had a blast! The customer service was top notch from my first inquiry to the end of our evening. This was the only facility that answered my internet inquiry and assisted me in scheduling and organizing a fun birthday party for a friend. Mike (the manager) was friendly and patient with every question. Upon arrival for our event he and his capable staff helped all of us understand the safety and best practices of axe throwing. We brought our own snacks and beverages and were able to hang out in the last 2 lanes and linger for a bit after our games to celebrate. We will return! Safe, fun and relaxed atmosphere!

When a person has lived in Columbus for as long as I have, a person begins to look for new and exciting experiences in the city. One evening after having dinner and drinks with my partner and another couple, we decided go throw some axes, and Dueling Axes was our destination. Once we entered the business and signed a waiver (you know, if you get killed by an axe, the business has no responsibility), one of the employees walked our group over to one of the cages and explained safety, the correct axe-throwing form, and the different games (like dart games) we could play. Essentially, one throws an axe at a bullseye painted on a wood board. As simple as it sounds, we had a great time! We were the only group in the business, at that time, and the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and fun. The place is BYOB, so don't forget drinks if you wish to have a couple drinks as you throw. The rental of the cages is by the hour, but you can make reservations of the cages by the hour, online. We had the best time, and I know we will be back, again.

I came in with my team from work on Sunday Jan 3rd. 7 throwers and 3 spectators. All the forms were completed ahead of time so we just got escorted to our lanes and given an introduction. After getting beers from the bar our coach came and showed us the technique. I didn't get names dangit. Everyone was great and we had a blast! There are multiple ways to play like in darts. They have an electronic scoring system like bowling. It was just great. Exactly what I hoped for! We'll come back.

Great time at an end of year company event. They allowed us to bring food and drink and after a ten minute tutorial let us have two hours to just have fun tossing the ax. It is a great activity, almost anyone can do it. I was hitting bullseye after bullseye and I had never played before. We were able to stay socially distanced if we wanted and they had sanitizer and mask requirement so it was a safe time too. Looking for something along the lines of bowling or top golf, ax throwing might be the way to do it.

The rules of the facility were explained really well including the types of games we could play. I felt like someone was there whenever I needed something or had a question. Twenty of us went for a friend’s birthday last night and it was so fun! Since a lot of us were first time ax throwers, we were a tad nervous, but the team did a great job training us and making us feel comfortable. Once we played for a while, we were all loving it and cheering each other on. It’s also awesome that you can bring your own food and drinks, and that there were TVs (for the Buckeye game!) - definitely loved this experience and would enjoy going back for sure! (Maybe because I also got kind of good at it. :P)

When I say the staff are excellent, I mean they go out of their way at a moment's notice to make your experience more fun and fulfilling. I've never met more helpful employees anywhere. The atmosphere is super casual and fun, and the aesthetic is perfect for what it is. I planned a girls night out for two friends and myself- we had a blast! The instruction and coaching was super helpful, and it was surprisingly safe. It's definitely not as easy as it looks, but we eventually got the hang of it. And I'm pretty sure we were all sore the next day. We loved that It's BYOB, we brought champagne and snacks. Parking was easy- the lot diagonal across 4th is $6, and a very short walk. The staff is amazing, and will make sure you have a good time. Highly recommend for a group activity, bachelor/ette parties, or just to vent some frustration.

Just got home from the first night of it being open and it was a blast! The owners did a great job making the venue beautiful and the process smooth and fun. People of all ages were there, and everyone had a smile on their face. They don't serve food or drinks, but there are a lot of food places near by and you're allowed to bring it in. Also they allow byob. Make it a quick stop on a night out, or make.it the whole night out. Either way you'll enjoy the time you spent there. I'd give 6 stars if I could, but I guess 5 will do.

Throwing an axe is such an experience, I was really frightened at first fortunately there's this guy who teach you and even cheer for you (one of their staffs) which made it more comfortable. Just a heads up they do not offer food and only have bottled drinks. The good news is you can bring your own or you can even order it online and have it delivered there.

This place is fantastic! We had never been before and reached out to several of the ax throwing companies in Columbus for reservations; this was one of the 2 that actually called me back. The owner, Jess, was super responsive, answered my questions, and helped me make reservations. When we got there, Collin and Mike helped us out. Our training sessions and the time to fill out all the paperwork and to pay (we had a group of 11) - was NOT included in our hour of ax throwing time, so that was GREAT! Collin let each of us practice and have several throws and gave suggestions to each of us as to how to improve. Even when we started our 1 hour session, he watched us and would come over to help, particularly if it looked like anyone was getting frustrated or having an issue! You can bring your own food and alcohol (just not hard liquor) - which was really nice. We will definitely go back and are super excited that they are opening another Dueling Axes in New Albany/Gahanna by the new Target. If you have never tried ax throwing -- it is a BLAST and Dueling Axes is the place to go. Their customer service is top notch!

This is a tavern where you go to throw axes with your friends. It's like a cross between darts and a bowling alley but you're throwing hatchets. It's pretty fun once you get the hang of it. It's more difficult than it looks however and some of the party was getting frustrated after an hour. It was a little pricey. For the money we spent we could have literally bought all of the wood we would need to throw and hatchets as well. The establishment is BYOB, but just beer, not booze.
