Spacious enough from the next site unless you seek a bit more privacy and seclusion. Well kept grounds, exceedingly kind and helpful staff. Grounds boast an amphitheatre, which had entertainment Saturday night, numerous bathroom facilities, a camper's beach, and mini golf. I think all campsites were well shaded and city, definitely a family place! The check in office has fire starters, ice cream, and small memorabilia items, possibly much more, but we were only there one night.
Janice Snyder Brammeier
Very nice campground, clean bathrooms. Level sites.
I’m disappointed in staff letting people play their music loud enough you can’t hear your own.
I’m all for dressing up your campsite but having so many lights on your site it looks like the Vegas strip!
And then left them on all night? Kinda RUDE!
And how many times do you have to hit the alarm to lock your vehicle? I’m pretty sure it’s 1 or 2 not 8-9!!!
We wanted relaxation…… we got noisy neighbors.
Maybe add to the registration of quiet time and respect your fellow campers.

We stayed here for only 2 nights for the main purpose of going to Schmidt's Sausage house and restaurant. Once we arrived here we were so impressed with the park. As you can see the spots are very large and private. The bath house and restrooms were super clean. We had a path that led directly to a main trail. Awesome! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I bought our first RV trailer and went to Alum Creek Park. The experience was wonderful! We stayed in the B area, which was quiet and clean, with level parking, and enough distance from neighboring campers to allow for privacy. We are already planning our second visit there and are looking forward to more memorable times. Highly recommend.

Alum Creek State Park is an excellent place to stay. The sites have good spacing and are paved. The park is well wooded which provided some privacy. Nearly all the sites are level for RVs. There were restrooms in walking distance either direction from our site. The shower houses were clean. Being an early riser, I saw ODNR on site before 7 am cleaning the restrooms/showers. We look forward to returning to this Park.

This was our second time at this campground. We were pleasantly surprised that they had a Christmas light display this trip (completely on accident we ended up here this time). So much fun, nice well kept campground and friendly staff.

We camped here on our way home from a cross country trip to Glacier National Park and Washington State. The sites were wooded and felt private. The pad was pretty level. We were able to stream with no problems. (Verizon) There was a WiFi hub in our section. The staff were friendly and we saw a ranger patrolling the area. They have playgrounds and a beach. Boaters love this place. The only reason we aren’t giving Alum Creek campground a 5 star is the cleanliness of the shower/bathroom. The regular restroom was almost spotless. This is a place we regularly stay because it is near to Columbus where our children live and close to shopping and services but feels like it is a remote spot.
Rick Vanover
Good campground with many full hookup sites. I like how these spots also have "fingers" of woods in each spot. Good access to Columbus area shopping too. Good cell service.
Katrina H
Spacious camp sites. Clean. Well taken care of park. The restrooms and shower house (located in G) are very clean...perfect water pressure in the shower.
Joel King
Like how the lots have vegetation between them, for a decent semi secluded feel. Scouted out several that have good hammock options.
Nancy Baur
Very clean and warm restrooms. I used to camp here with my grandparents and it brings back great memories.
mike o
Clean cabin with AC and heat. Very peaceful area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Other campers also very friendly and courteous. Great campground for kids. We really enjoyed our stay.
David Glasgo
Very large campground. Many sites are close but private feeling still with the number of trees and growth between the sites. We were in G loop and very sheltered from how many people were really there. Kids loved the beach and swim area and it was very well developed for such. We would definitely camp here again.
Christina Cope
Still full, booked on weekends through October(2021). Shaded sites and some sites on the lake.
We went to the Beach which is large, small restrooms(no changing areas or showers) and no concession stand. A few picnic tables and grills. Very little shade but plenty of parking. Thankfully Food trucks arrived.
Tyler Blanton
This is the second state park campground I have stayed at. My fiance I and my in laws went camping in August. We stayed 3 nights. I enjoyed the campground activities that they had for the campers staying there. To name a few of the activities they had were the campers beach, mini golf, nature center, basketball and volleyball courts, and activities on weekend which were a pancake breakfast, tie dye and music at the amphitheater. This is my second favorite state park.
Misty W
Great campground. Not far from the zoo. Nice camp store. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
LynKitty Clark
Had fun camping. Easy access to bathroom. Clean. And quiet.
Jill Ribich
Please stop every year around Christmas to visit family in the Columbus area. The part does shut the water off for the winter but it is still a wonderful place to camp out. The fantasy of lights display is open all of December and part of January and has become a tradition for our family. We love this park!
Beth Gersper
Love Alum Creek campground even off season. And Cheshire Market is the place to eat anytime while you're there!
Marilyn Larson
It was very dark driving thru park until you hit the lights. They should put a few up along the way. They should play songs to match the lights and have some go along with them. I liked them but kids were kind of bored because lights took so long to reach. Because of this we did not get to see Santa.
Crystalann Aronhalt
Went in early October from a Friday through Tuesday. They had a fall weekend with a few different things for the kids even with Covid and social distancing. Showers were hot and bathrooms were clean. Campsites are private with lots of trees. There were nature trails leading down to a few fishing spots at Alum Creek or to a small pond. Very relaxing!
Kimberly Beckman
We love this campground. Well we loved it a lot more before they changed some things since the last time we camped here a few years ago. This time we rented what they are calling a large camper cabin site E5 which is very nice. I think this used to be called a cedar cabin but not sure. They still have the old signs up and that is what the sign says. I thought that I remembered larger cabins before but I don't think they exist anymore. They have changed where you check in at. Now you bypass the front gate where there is no one to stop anyone from coming in at anytime so there is very little security. You now have to check in at the nature center with very little signage and no parking so you have to park on the side of the road which is a bit dangerous. Very little in the way of merchandise or refreshments to purchase in the nature center. It is really kind of a hassle. Not sure why they changed things since it seems less secure. I really don't see what would stop someone from just coming in after 9pm when the nature center closes and just park and camp for free for the night. There seems to be a lot more empty spaces then there used to be. Now you cannot just show up and rent a camping space as a walk-up. You have to go through the Dept of Natural Resources website to rent sites. Not sure these changes are for the better. I used to feel safer and love the campground more before all of the changes. With all that being said we really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It had air conditioning which we loved. That was a real life saver since it was over 90 degrees when we were there. There is no microwave just a mini fridge and small portable stove/ burners. There is a TV with regular antenna. The mini fridge keeps thing cold. Top is a freezer and the shelf under that actually freezes stuff too. Our grapes and blueberries were frozen which wasn't a big deal. Place was fairly clean. What I did really like is this cabin has a deadbolt with a code lock which I felt very secure in. Although it would be easy to lock yourself out if you forget the code. Overall we really enjoyed this cabin. Bathrooms were very close as well as the mini beach that's in the campground. Things were quite because there wasn't a lot of campers.
Melissa Dobson
Always a wonderful stay! Stayed here last year and again this year. We love that it's super close to family. Plenty of things to do in the area. Sites are nicely spaced, plenty of dumpsters close by, staff is friendly and dump station is clean.
Lilian Mwi-Haki
Christmas season: Fantasy of lights are a must-see, at least once in your lifetime. If you got kids, they will enjoy it more the price is $30 a car single entry.
Jeff Whaley
This is such a great state camp grounds!!! Peaceful, well maintained and large sites!!! I camped @ E11 site. Power, no water/sewer. I'd like to add, clean bath houses and excellent water temp/ pressure!!
Tara Bergstedt
Great variety of sites with electric and some full book up options as well as lakeside. It's a large campground with lots of recreation options and a nature center.
Lynda Sherman
Went for the Christmas lights.
Always a great show. Highly recommend every year. Go early, it gets busy.
Nicole Wright
Excellent campground, many sites but they are all kind of in their own area with trees around so there is privacy. There are regular bathrooms and shower rooms. We stayed in a water front site with electric and it was just delightful. They offer breakfast on the weekends, as well as live music sometimes. There is mini golf and play grounds and so many trails. Just a great campground for you and the family! Dog friendly too :)
C H
Beautiful state campground, perfect back in sites for RV’s, lots of privacy and space. Very clean park, showers and bathrooms.
travis gardner
Beautiful spot. Great for families. Spots are close but there’s still privacy. Hot water showers and clean bathrooms. For 2 people It was 37.00 with a truck in electric only spot. Dog friendly. Only drawback is that there was traffic in the park. People driving around at 1 am which seems weird. Also there’s a fire dept. right behind the park so you might hear that. It’s not in the remote wilderness but still really pretty.
Janice Abbott
We love Alum Creek S P Campground. The sites are spacious, plenty of room for big rigs. But what I like best are all the trees. Each site is surrounded by trees so there is a lot of privacy. We try to get the full service sites too. It is nice to have our own private campground beach and also the option to drive over to the public beach. It is hard to believe you are only a few miles from any store or restaurant you would want. If you want to stay close to Columbus and yet enjoy the beauty of nature, then Alum Creek is the place to be!
Ben Virgilio
Great little campground. Stopped in on a multi-state road trip. We had reserved a cabin but ended up pitching some tents anyways. The cabins were very nice and clean. It even had a fridge. Camping spots had a good amount of vegetation between and a decent amount of grass.
The bathrooms were well lit and also pretty clean. The roads around the campground were well maintained.
Justin Webster
All sites have a paved drive. Many of the sites are small. Some sites on the website claim to be able to hold up to a 40 ft trailer....the problem is that means only the trailer. Not your vehicle. You can see what I mean based on my pictures. The bathrooms are unbelievably outdated. When we arrived there was human excrement in the middle shower. Again, see picture. You can't blame the park for things like that. The beach in the campground was ok. The kids enjoyed it. There is also another public beach right outside the campground that is much bigger. Also pictured. The Columbus zoo is only a 15 minute drive.
Martie
Beautiful park with spacious, private campsites and paved areas for RVs to park and get level. A little confusing getting here as GPS took us to swim beach which is more than a mile away. Then park website claims there is water & electric at every site which is absolutely untrue. We were prepared to hold our blackwater, but not to wait in line for the SINGLE filling faucet at the dump site. Park map also shows a road to our site that wasn't there & we had to figure out how to weave around so we could approach our spot from the right direction. After all the initial delays and annoyances, we managed to get in and set up so now we have time to enjoy it.
Todd Carpenter
We love the campground! Nice wide roads and generously sized sites. I have a long rig, and they made it very easy to get in and out of our site. The lake didn't see too clean, but I can't fault the campground on that one. 5 starts for a great place to camp.
Kelly Williams
Nice campground. The showers aren’t very clean though. Overall really nice though.
Vic Stahlman
It was one of the best camp grounds I have been at. Well signed and hard to get lost. I only suggest not to book during the year of cicada lol. Great time other than that.
Also nice that all the sites had electric.!!
Douglas Young
Love camping here. All of the staff members here are awesome. Restrooms and showers are always clean. Thank you
Eric Altherr
Alum creek state campground is the campground we most commonly frequent. Staff here is great. Sites are well spaced ad maintained. Usually have activites sat and sun morning, sinetines saturday bight as well. Restrooms are a bit dated, but serviceable (all flush toilets, etc.). Plenty to do nearby. Campground has its own beach, trails, little fishing pond, and lauch access to lake.
Brenda Wygal
Super nice park. Nice size sites and very private. They also have very nice full service sites. Full service sites very large amd private in E row..B row full service sites a little smaller but very nice also. Boating and ⛱ beach.. Delaware and Columbus close. Delaware nice small community, nice restaurants. Also Columbus zoo within about an hours drive.
G Wat
Secluded private campsites that are level and well kept. Bathrooms were not super clean and that's the only reason we dropped 1 star. Evenings were quiet and not a lot of noise in the early mornings either. We enjoyed the stay.
Gary Doss
Shower and restroom facilities were clean, warm and toasty. Our site was level and plenty of room for everything.
William McCain
Clean camp grounds pretty large friendly staff only small negative is the camp store has so much potential with its space and size to offer a variety of items and it's rather empty, and lacked having the common items forgotten or needed while camping on Friday mid day, but again very nice place to camp
Rick Deneski
Nice park, campsites are well spaced apart and very clean. Only complaint was the mosquitos, I understand I was camping but they were pretty bad.
Richard Kandalec
Great park and staff. Stayed in a Sherman cabin. Comfortable with heat and A/C as well as a refrigerator and microwave.
Philip Hundt
Campsite and the park itself seemed to be well tended to and clean. The one draw back was both of the latrines that were close to my site were closed for renovations. I would still definitely stay here again.
Michael Ward
Great campground. Sites are real large , level and wooded. You can really notice the high level of pride, the maintenance team takes great care of all the facilities.
Steve Lehner
We used the Cheshire boat ramp to launch kayaks. It was a Wednesday afternoon and not busy at all.
Chas Martin
Quiet, well spaced sites. Just be aware of what site you book. I had no idea our site didn't include water until the rv was all set up. Lesson learned that just because there is electricity, doesn't mean there is water.
Scott Lewis
Nice campsites with lots of woods. Access to the water from the boat dock or the campers beach or the main beach.
Wayne Gheta
I'll definitely go back!
My only issue is they need multiple drinking water taps for RV's. I waited an hour to fill my fresh tank upon arrival.
Jennifer Pollock
Would recommend going here in all seasons this is just down the road me and there is so much to do there you will never lose interest
Nate Smith
Great campground. Loop A is very quiet with shaded sites. Don't wait on fresh water at the dump station. There are spigots throughout the campground.
Stacey Vinson
I've been camping here with my grand parents since I was a young girl. Now I'm bringing my grand children. They usually have something going on on the weekends for the kiddos during the summer. Family movie night as well.
Theresa Williams
We had a good stay, staff was friendly. My only complaint would be that on our last day, the young lady that cleaned the Women's restroom, did not clean the restrooms.
T Israel
Great spot. The grills with the circle is a game changer. Alot of camp sites just have a circle.
Glenn Grove
Awesome park was sold out and was still awesome I was a little afraid when I seen the camp full sign but was great
Terri Clark
Clean restrooms, wooded campsites, friendly staff & campers! Highly recommend.
Marc B
My family and I stay at this campground Monday - Thursday. This place totally gets 5 stars from me. The staff was so friendly, bathrooms were clean and the camp sites are a very nice size, you aren't all on top of other campers and this is great for a family with 3 small kids. I'm making plans to return again. My site was A49 and will try booking that same spot again! Thank you to all the Alum Creek State Park Campground for making us feel so welcomed.
David Amore
Nice and quite really nice camping spots, alot of activities for a family
Kenton Jones
This is our favorite campground! We camp here several times every season!
Matthew
Nice and relaxing campground, however many of the sites are small and offer barely enough room for a single 4+ person sized tent. If you have a 1-2 person sized tent you should be ok, but anything larger than that you might have to get creative in where to set it up. I wish the website would offer more pictures of each site so that a person can visually see if there will be enough room when booking. If you have a camper or mobile home, most of these sites will be perfect for you. Overall, this is a nice campground to get away for a weekend. Just be cautious if you plan on tent camping. Oh, and keep all food put away safely at night. The raccoons will definitely get into anything you leave out.
Scot Kreienkamp
Large park, very nice campsites. Nice boat ramp for camper use only on the large lake. The campground bathrooms are ok but in serious need of renovations. The showers, on the other hand, were gross. To get any water on you, you have to stand almost touching the moldy shower curtain. Whoever put the showers together clearly hasn’t had to use them. The paint in the showers was peeling and they were not cleaned well. Bottom line, everything would be great if you can avoid the campground bathroom and showers.
Barbara Kneisley
We love this campground, nice people and plenty of room for our camper.
teri mcmullin
Best camp grounds ever ❤
Rob Baxtresser
Beautiful park. Great camping. Disc golf course (not the one near the park office) on the other side of the lake is challening. Photo is a sunrise over the lake.
Heather Mullins
The campground is so peaceful. The restrooms and shower houses were always so clean throughout the stay. Office hours were a little confusing but if they have been short staffed like most of the US they maybe the issue there. Overall I recommend staying and will be back soon!!
Aileen
The campsites are nice. While somewhat close together, they each have their own alcove, paved drive, and a sense of privacy.
There are a lot of nice things to do around the area: a playground, a nature center, a small beach that you can walk to from the campsites.
They offer breakfast on Saturday and donuts on Sunday. And there were signs up for live music tonight. The park office and welcome center sells lots of things helpful when camping, like pie irons, food like marshmallows and honey and other types of condiments, accessories for camping, bags and even toys for kids.
I think this is a good campsite to go if you want to get away from the city but still be fairly close by.
The only thing I really didn't like was that they don't have any sidewalks, trails or walkways by the road for pedestrians. This means that campers have to walk on the road where cars drive through the campsites to get anywhere. Also to get to any of the hiking trails and Alum State Creek Park, you have to drive.
Deb Deb
It is a beautiful Place to camp they Have space in between sites I love it
Becky Riehl
We booked a full hookup spot but those are limited. All very spacious lots. Small beach area on the lake, boat access to the lake, playground area, hiking trails, separate catch and release fishing pond. No pool, limited snacks in store. Beautiful park! We will be back!
Tracy Kincaid
I only spent one night here and we got into our spot late but what a nice campground! I definitely want to come back and spend more time here!
cdgalin61
Decent campground, the camp office people were very nice. But people drive too fast, need speed bumps. Our campsite when we arrived had remnants of a fallen tree that was cut up but there were branches all over the parking pad. Bathrooms were okay, showers had mold in them and water was scalding when someone flushed.
Richard Nieves
I was disappointed at the value. It seemed like it cost too much money for no more than what it was. Although we did not sit still for a great amount of time, driving all through the campground in stop and go traffic at 2 to 5 miles an hour for well over an hour just lessened the experience. Also, at the end of the display there were signs pointing to Santa to the left but the Delaware County Sheriff was making everybody turn right. No I guess you were supposed to turn right and then turn around somewhere to go back and see Santa.
Megan Wicks
Pretty nice campground with decent WiFi (2-3 bars AT&T and Verizon). Only the B loop has water at the site, so if that’s a must for you, pick loop B! I would recommend staying near the beach for more activity and loops L and J for a calmer, quiet experience.
Terry Jones
There is literally nothing to do anymore. No group or sign up activities. The boat rentals are outrageously high. The restrooms at the camp site were not cleaned at all the 5 days we were there. And to top it off. It rained a few nights before arriving to the camp site and no one never cleaned the site nor did the try to clean up some of the large amounts of standing water and mud.
Cori W
Large park, campsites are decent sizes. Camp store is not very big so not a lot of items compared to other parks. Would be nice if the hot water in the restroom near the J14 path worked but since some of the campers can't respect property, I kind of understand it.
rebecca dennis
Alum Creek is one of our favorite places to camp. The sites are roomy and wooded. On our last trip we had a problem with our slides. Our camper host and several other hosts did their best to help us with our problem. We couldn’t have asked for more friendly, helpful people. Great place to camp!
Frankie McBee
Great place. Wish I could've stayed longer..free pancakes and sausage after fishing all night. Shout out to Gary!.Oh yaa!
Jon Diller
Nice private campsites. Beach nicely maintained. Lots of good bank fishing . Need major upgrade to the latrines and shower facilities. Major issue with only one water fill and discharge tap. Need minimum of three to limit long lines.
John Butts
Sites are always clean, staff is polite and helpful. We make this our first camping trip of the season because it's always pleasant 😊 …
Fred Bluhm
Park it self is very good. They have upgraded a number of full service hook up sites for camping. But there restrooms and shower houses are not nice. Need cleaned badly,, who ever is responsible for keeping them clean are not keeping them up to standard.
Amber Church
Not bad, although the sites are a little small. However, lots of shade, which is hard to find. Every lot is very private, separated by some trees and brush, which is nice. If you have a camper, it would be difficult to fit a tent on most of these sites. Also, don't really like that the drinking water is at the dump station. It leads to too much congestion. Overall a nice stay, just different than the park's we usually go to.
low rider3456 n
I've been going here for about 4 years now and the only issue is the bathrooms/showers they have never been clean. The people also usually go 20mph instead of the posted 10 and it kinda irritates me but otherwise it's an amazing park with spacious lots and very polite people!
Kris Barcroft
We traveled with our dog. The sites offer privacy which was nice so he couldn't see most of the other dogs. We also enjoyed the secluded feeling. The dog park, only a short drive away, was a highlight for our dog. The beach was great. The only drawback was that it didn't have water hook-up. We plan on returning.
Barb P
We absolutely loved this campground and can't wait to go back it has nice spacious sites and bathrooms within walking distance and the grounds were very clean I highly recommend this campground you definitely won't be disappointed 😊 …
Traveling Team
Great state park! Larger than normal sites, remember to get water from dump station before setting up at your site.
judi novak
Beautiful place, great campground amazing visitors center
Phred Doolittle
Really shaded.
Campers only little "beach".
Typical campground bathrooms (bring flip-flops).
We stayed in one of the 1 room Sherman cabins, we had rain, so really glad we did.
Ron Justice
Had a very nice time with our family here at Alum Creek State Park Campgrounds. Found areas where you can bring your boat up to your campsite to enjoy time on the lake as well. It was fairly busy during our stay, but the park handled it well. We took the kids down to watch a movie outdoors one evening, and visited with others during an ice cream social event the next evening. I would like to try bringing the pontoon boat down on our next visit to explore the lake.
Phillip Sayers
Good campsite with view of the watet
Bear Pollard
Great campground to say the very least love the closeness and its proximity to the boat ramp and really like Section M of the Campground. It's very quiet and you could actually park your boat at a couple of these sites on the water near your campsite.
Normally the closers the State parks are to Columbus the better care of the grounds are taken...just something I've noticed over the years.
And really enjoyed the Bass Fishing here as well.
Stephen Edward
A great camp ground. Very fun for all ages and had many water front camp sites. Beautiful lake and the fishing is usually great! Very dense woods surrounding the entire grounds and every camp site is very private and boy to close to one another. Many many things to do!!!! I highly recommend alum creek state park camp grounds!
Patti Kassay
Brandt in the office was very accommodating as was the young lady who followed him. What a beautiful park. We are only here for one night but we rode our bikes and played mini golf. We highly recommend it. So much to do.
Jennifer Hampton
I always love it. But most of all my individuals/clients loved it!
Michelle Goughenour
So much fun! Loved decorations, friendly staff, friendly campers, super fun hay ride, truck or treat was a blast! Everyone really gets into decorating their sites!!!!!! Beautiful, private, large, camping sites! Enough room for very large campers and tents on one site! LOVED IT! TOTALLY COMING BACK AGAIN!
Terri Bates
We loved camping there they have everything (all hookups) And their little store has a lot. A Beautiful lake to walk to and a nice walk over the Dam! We will go back for sure 🙂 …
Allison Swanger
Amazing campground. We stayed here two year in a row. Campsites are spacey and private. Park is clean and well kept. The volunteers do special activities such as breakfast, ice cream social, etc. The campers beach is small but nice. The restrooms are dark and damp and should be updated.
Theo Rhodes
Loved being out on the water! We caught 7 slab crappie! And a couple of huge females full of eggs! We let them go to finish spawning. Smallest ones were 13 inches.
Nate at Ideal Sound & Vision
Had a great time! Clean sites with lots of places to walk!
octavio mendoza
First time camping at this park and so far loving it.
Lori Lynn Ray
They added to them, but it was shorter this year. Wasn't worth $30. I'm a little disappointed.
Dave Smith
Winter fun
Cracky Holder
Nice state park, pretty big lots and pretty good privacy. I'd definitely come back. Shower houses were adequate also. Nice playground for the kids and that awesome lake is right there. Definitely enjoyed my stay here.
Brenda Fleming
Very nice campground. Sites are spacious and some are nearly level. Others would be difficult for an RV to level but fine for tent campers. Bathhouse was filthy this morning but not sure that was a reflection on the staff or on campers in that particular loop.
jennifer dusenbury
The campers beach was excellent. Some of the sites are rather sunny, I would suggest a canopy. Bikes would be fun, somethings are a bit of a walk. You can boat, or anthing to do wit water sports. A super great campground.
Criswell Farms
Sites are smaller, but almost all shaded. Some are really difficult to back the larger campers into. They don't have a camp store, which is really disappointing. If you needed anything you had to leave campgrounds. Wish they had more full hookup sites and a inground pool. The beaches were both really crowded.
Tyler Williams
I love Alum Creek’s state park, and campground. It is well maintained and there is so much to do during your stay: mountain biking, boating, fishing, golfing, and more! I would highly recommend you spend your time here if you are interested in getting outdoors in Ohio!
Susan Conroy
Very nice and clean. The campsites are really nice and you have the option of premium or just electric hookup. There is a camper beach and hiking trails. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back.
Raymond Connolly
Out of all the Ohio state parks I have camped at this is by far the best
Robert Dodge
Great Park Campgrounds
Bobbi Jo Fields
Wonderful experience every year. My grandkids love hanging their heads out the window, saying Merry Christmas.. this yr was absolutely amazing.
Brenda Krallis
Great place to go see Christmas lights
Dick Schelat
Many tho not all campsites are tree lined with privacy. Good bathroom and shower facilities. Distant highway noise except for the middle of the night.
Jenna Dean
Great campground with plenty natural shade...however.... “speed limit” 10 mph. 75% people driving over 30 mph down the roads. Not kid friendly. Speed bumps are a must to control speeding drivers.
kenneth speckhart
Big lake never had time to enjoy, lot of privacy between sights lots of trees, stopped at check in and upgraded to a full hookup sight that wasn’t Available on the website, 37 ft fifth wheel
Mira B
Great, easy trails for a short walk. Lots of pollinators.
Dustin Kimmel
One of the best state parks.
Kevin Cordle
I want to say thanks to George for going the extra mile to answer our questions. State park campgrounds need more people like him!
Leah Hall
Such fun camping times! Bathrooms are clean, and it was really muddy when we were there a few weekends ago. Had an amazing time!
Marianne Spain
My favorite campground. But the entry into the campground is not guarded anymore. Check in is in nature center which is inconvenient. And I feel like anyone can now drive through the campground at any time. It feels less secure. Any idea why the change was made?
Scott Fox
Enjoy camping here but do not camp on a site on the main road if you have young children. Speed limit is 10 and nobody obeys it. Office personnel said they couldn't do anything about it, only ODNR can enforce it. Put in speed bumps!
Stacey Getzendiner
Best campground! Almost all of the sites have trees/shrubs in between for privacy and shade. Beach for campers only, trails for walking - makes my expectations of other campgrounds high!
Jeanne cary
The rangers working the desk were so friendly and helpful. The park itself is beautiful.
Bob Jobes
Not a lot of fishing spots if you don't have a boat but still fun
TimandTerri Gallagher
A great, heavily wooded Campground. Sites are well spaced with trees in between. Lots of families and observed no late night loud parties.
Veronica Parker
Majority of spots are really separated by trees and wooded area which is nice, your not right on top of each other. It's got neat trails and multiple ways to walk to the beach.
Jason Wright
Very nice state park. Clean. Quiet. Conveniently located to anything you want to do [shopping, zoo, play on the lake, etc.]. Nice playground, beach, and a mini golf course. Always enjoy our time here.
Russ Snow
Clean camp grounds, well taken care of. Rented a cabin and had a great stay. Store is available for small purchases.
Lisa Klostermann
Beautiful, shaded, and quite private camp sites!
Jillian Koval
The spaces are well maintained and very spacious. There’s a lot of space between campers. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is helpful.
Renee Justine
Spacious private suites, helpful staff, great camping experience.
Greg Shreeves
Loved this place Would definitely stay here again
Rob Lierenz
It's mostly an RV trailer park with some extra trees thrown in. Our campsite barely had enough room for 2 tents. The lake is great for boating, but if you want to go camping, Ohio has better places with better hiking.
Cathy Franklin
The park has done a good job of making semi private camp sites. Most sites have trees and plants between the next site. And they are not super close to the next site.
Timothy Burley
Best camp ground in Ohio. Privacy and shade. Restrooms close amd Clean.

Always make it out here for the fall fest, definitely one of the best run state park campgrounds with plenty of fun for the family

Great state park campground, staff provided a list of events at registration, facilities and grounds were.well kept and clean, dump station and potable water fill easily accessible, sites had plenty of space without being too close together, camp store is small but had the basic necessities.

J section was like a dragway! Post 10 mph and they were going at least 40 or more!! Where’s the camping host? Clearly marked 10, no one cares!!!! You need speed bumps!!!
