Reviews of Table Rock State Park
Hal Stallworth
One of the most aggressive hikes in SC, which isn't saying a whole lot. However, it is more of an ascent than a hike. The cool breezes at the top make it worth it, and the birds and flora are outstanding, depending on the time of year. The primitive camp sites are wonderfully secluded, but car camping it ain't. Nice to have the camp store nearby for forgotten supplies.
Logan Ogzewalla
Pretty gnarly park we did table rock summit and it was on the more difficult scale for trails. If your an avid hiker you'll be fine. There's a couple mini waterfalls in the beginning of the hike which was fun to get a little cool down. They have a little shop at the bottom of the trail as well with some cool merchandise, dogs are welcome on the trail we saw a few of em. No bathrooms so go while your at the bottom, plenty of parking too, all around solid hike.
Steve Rugg
Great place to camp and hike. Campsites are nice and roomy. I tent camp so plenty of room for that. Poles to hang your lanterns on, fire ring, picnic table, and easy access to the trails. Rangers and camp store staff were very helpful and friendly.
Rusty Desso
This is a beautiful place to visit and I’m glad we did. Had a great time hiking and exploring the trails and creeks. So far one of my favorite parks. Will definitely be back.
Leah Gardner
Did the Table Rock Trail as a first time hiker, and man it was hard (but doable! My friend and I both made it all the way to the top and down). We are both a little out of shape, but if you really want to reach the top you will. The first 2 miles are very difficult- lots of stairs and rocks to climb, and it’s very steep. There are several difficult parts during the last 1.5 miles, but it is generally pretty flat and easier. The view is insane and incredibly worth it- you will know it when you see it. The descent was SO much easier. It only took us 2 hours compared to the 4 it took us to reach the summit. If you are hiking the trail and are not an experienced hiker, bring TONS of water and snacks- especially in hot weather. I would not recommend taking your dog unless they are very fit and used to this sort of strenuous activity. The entire state park is so well maintained and beautiful. Also- I would highly recommend hitting Dacusville Pizza on your way out if you’re going that way.

A State park on Route 11 in South Carolina also known as Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway. On on one side of route is Lake Oolenoy and the visitor center, on the other side most of the trails including the steep Table Rock Summit trail. The park is beautiful with no entrance fee. Parking is also free.
Olga Griffith
Paid for visiting the park $19. Nice place to get to waterfalls, cool down, hike and beach access for little ones, who love splashing in water. Clean bathrooms, would like more people around as the park was almost empty. Parking lot is well maintained. A lot of space.
Ken Himes
You don't have to be an agressive hiker to enjoy this amazing view. Just off of Highway 11 at the Table Rock State Park entrance on the North side of the road. A few parking spots and a very short hike to a bench on the shore of Pinnacle Lake. This magical reflection is a gift to be enjoyed in person!
T M
Always a great time. The table rock trail is rough, but perfectly doable for most anyone with enough will power. And it is so incredibly worth it.
Jonathan Ellis
This is a pretty epic spot to go hiking. Ive hiked all around this great state of SC and let me tell you…. This place should be one of the ones at the top of your list. The views are A1 though you should prepare for the event that the weather craps out on you. Bring a small poncho with you thats easily accessible. Bring plenty of water as some of the hike can produce a workout with the steepness. It becomes all worth it once you make it to the top. Take some photos, enjoy the scenery and have lunch to end the day
Terry Thomas
Table Rock is beautiful! There are hikes that start right in the park. We camped there 5 nights earlier this month. The bath house was always clean. The employees we met were friendly and helpful. The park was mostly quiet.
Wendy Chen
Went there this Black Friday and they offered free admission! That's so awesome. Normally they charge 5 dollars per person. There are different trails, ranging from difficult to easy, so it js good for both beginners and frequent hikers. There is a gift shop there, so you can get some souvenir as well. Overall it is worth visiting again!
Nathan Lambertson
Wow! This is a fairly challenging hike. It's like a staircase most of the way. We really enjoyed the challenge, and the views at the top are well worth it. I'm still sore, 3 days after.
Mark T
A really nice park with a great trail. I hiked up Table Rock and then on Ridge Line to Pinnacle Mtn and down. Great views to be had all over thenpark
Kevin Hendricks
Great state park! Really cool waterfall that you can swim in at the trail head. Nice, well kept trails for all skill levels. Also, a lake with a swimming area and paddle boats for rent. You get a great view of Table Rock from the lake. Will be returning.
Hilton “Hilton Zonkowski LKS” L. Zonkowski -LKS
Believe me, this is on of the BEST States Park l visited. Definitely if you like hiking this is one of the best.
Geoff Stephens
Beautiful area with multiple lakes and waterfalls. There are also several hiking trails of varying difficulty to enjoy.
Henry Ponds
This is a beautiful, peaceful park. I cannot say enough good things about the park. I highly recommend!
Cassandra Gaskins
My favorite state park we have visited yet! My daughter and I are making wonderful memories exploring our beautiful state while trying to complete the Ultimate Outsider Challenge. We rented kayaks, grabbed us a moon pie && some water, rowed our way in the middle of the lake && just enjoyed the beautiful scenery! The views of the mountain && lake is a masterpiece. Thank you Lord for our beautiful Earth!
Carl Traenkner
Beautiful park with great view of table rock. Nice lake with swimming area and really cool swimming area at the waterfall just up the trail.
The Ram
I love the trails and streams with little water falls. Even from the the bottom of the mountain it looks majestic with its flat face slopes and never greenery. Plenty to do and explore. I will have to say I don't like the bee traps they have by the visitors center as they catch all bees instead of hornet and paper wasp. Bubble bees don't sting people unless maliciously provoked. So please review and rethink your bee/WASP traps as you could be killing harmless bee pollinators. Thank you.
Jimmy Faulkner
Absolutely beautiful park. Easy trail to negotiate (I walk with a cane). Super clean. Awesome staff was very helpful and welcoming.
Jeepgirl
Love this place..A great place of the views of the mountains.A great place to go fishing an kayaking.Seen the friendly duck to.Me an Blue had a great day walking.
Heather L
This was a great little park. It had an awesome hike that did a loop and weaved over a water source for most of the hike. It was refreshing to sit by and meditate and we even got in it. The guy at the desk was friendly and helpful and even shared pictures of bears that his wife had taken pictures of just that morning. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Afterwards we sat at the picnic tables and had some snacks before driving over to the main office to get keys to unlock the kayaks that were available to rent by the 1/2 hour. We signed up for an 2 hours but had to wind it up early because it started to rain. What a lovely experience. Definitely worth the trip from Vegas.
amanda ortiz
$6 a person to get in. not actually going to table rock, beautiful view tho! the hime was cool, didn't get to far down but enjoyed!
vandini modi
It was nearly 6.9~7.2 miles hike. There are multiple hikes available on same site but this is the longest and difficult one. It took 4hrs 50mins to complete. Please carry sufficient water/vitamin water because you will need during a hike.
Darryle Ziegler
This is a great place to swim, hike, camp, or just come to take a walk around the lake. We really enjoy the time we spend here and I'm sure we will go back more often in the future. Also great for pictures.
Casey Derrick
We enjoyed fishing and swimming. The weather was perfect ❤️ The store clerk was very nice and helpful.
Michael Kelly
Absolutely amazing park with literally every outdoor activity imaginable! Rentable cabins, or camping, paddle boarding, paddle boating, fishing, hiking, overall just an amazing park.
Hiking table rock is no joke, make sure you bring the recommended 2L of water per person if you plan to do the full summit! It is very strenuous and the incline is super intense from start to finish!
Robert Norvell
I’ve been fortunate enough to visit many state and federal parks over the last year during our RV adventures. We are traveling in a 26 foot motorhome. We visited mid July 2021 for a weekend. This park is one of my favorites for several reasons. First the staff and Rangers keep the park very clean and genuinely care about your safety and visit. For example they called following a hike to make sure that I had gotten back safely. What’s so great about this park is that it has something for everyone. You can swim in the lake you do Moderate hikes to a beautiful waterfall and swim; This was perfect for my two kids one age 8 the other 16.. Or if you are up for it you can do the very strenuous hike to the top of table rock for amazing views. If I had one complaint it had to do with The site 34 being more level. As it required the use of leveling blocks. But that’s really nothing to detract from the park.
Mark Comuntzis
Please be advised, this is not for anyone out of shape at all. There are virtually THOUSANDS of steps and steep inclines. The view is breathtaking at the summit. I am moderately in shape and I struggled in some places. Bring about a half gallon of water per person (especially if it's hot out).
Diana Frederick
Plusses include the views, the many waterfalls in the area and the quiet. Now for the negatives ...
The sign for the turn off to the second campground is obscured. We wound up driving down the narrow, twisty, hilly East gate road in a motorhome towing a truck. Why? Because the sign that said no campers was after the left turn. And we couldn't back up. That was terrifying! There needs to be a sign BEFORE the turn, on the right shoulder, that says " All campers next left" Then, we reserved a pull through campsite, #76 to be specific. It is NOT a pull through, it is a pull off. The water and electric hookups are on the wrong side, and almost all the way at the front of the site. We didn't even try to hook up to water. To get to the electric we had to park way to the right, which meant no awning out. Our slides, of course were on the road side. I was afraid someone would hit our bedroom slide so I parked our truck to protect it. The dump station is at the other campground and faces the wrong way for anyone, like us, wanting to use it from the other campground. That meant driving into that campground looking for a place to turn around. Not fun. But there was a babbling brook next to us. And it was quiet and dark, good for sleeping. It was okay for 2 nights as a base to hike to waterfalls, but I wouldn't stay much longer.
Bogdan Dusa
Great family destination.Beautiful park not far from Greenville. Very popular for hiking. Little swimming lake with a beach. Campground area in the thick woods. Fishing boats, canoes, kayaks and pedale boats are available for rent.
Deb G
Beautiful location as a part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Upstate SC. I met the nicest, most helpful rangers ... Allen during the campground check-in, Shelby in the Nature Center, and Autumn as I was leaving we discussed the lovely camping facilities. I highly recommend visiting Table Rock State Park and walking on the Foothills Trail. This park is one of 16 parks in South Carolina to be built by the CCC. Look up the history, it's very interesting. Also, the SC state parks have an Ultimate Outsider program ... visit all 47 state parks. It is well worth your time and many adventurers.
Ray Rampersad
I took my in-laws to the ranger station for some fresh air and to walk around a bit and see the sights from a different perspective. We walked around, sat on the benches in the yard, and then headed over to the dock where my father in law will come back to fish.
It was a beautiful day and a beautiful experience for all of us. We will definitely be back to do some fishing and even a picnic in spring or summer.
Patrice Christian
Beautiful scenery and walking trails outside. There is a dock you can walk out on for a better view of the lake, and it's great for photography. Fishing is allowed, though I can't comment on how good it might be. Inside the building you have souvenirs, snacks, and nice restrooms.
David Paris
The short trail that is easy to moderate is one of the prettiest trails of short duration that I have seen.
Great park for scenic beauty. I also enjoyed the campground a few years ago.
casey carback
Awesome hike!!! Very difficult (bring lots of water & wear shoes with good treads) but amazing views & well worth it!!
Yaseen Bari
Excellent place for hiking. Come prepared with food and water and proper gear if you want to do the full hike. Lakes, rivers, forests, boardwalks, hiking trails, mountains, all placed in a setting that gives you a stunning view of nature. Very good place for nature photography too. Souveneers also available at the gift shop, which is a picturesque mansion by itself.
Charles Martin
Great place to hike or camp. You can catch many trails from here varing in difficulty, waterfall loop, top of Table Rock, Sassafras mountain and beyond.
Angela Baby
A super nice and beautiful state park with many nice trails
LSG
One of my most favorite South Carolina State Parks. Table Rock is a gorgeous view when you're looking up at it, but the views from the top are even more stunning. Great area for hikes, swimming, paddling, and much more. Great place for the family to hang out or just to go by yourself. You can take your own kayak or paddle board and go out on Lake Oolenoy. If you like the outdoors, I highly recommend you check out Table Rock State Park.
S Smith
Love this park. It's in an excellent location. The campground is great. One of our fave sc state parks.
Bridget Fitzgerald
Omg.... if you’re looking for stone steps, random bridges in the woods, waterfalls, misty skies, and places to take pictures, this is it!!! This is the place to remind you how good God is!! This is the place you’ve been looking for to take a break from reality. The hike was great! Couldn’t make it to the top but we tried. I kept having to stop to take pictures and have snack breaks on the rocks. We drank from the waterfalls and did slow mo videos when having to cross over them to stay on the path. Camp site was great and very easy. Cabins looked cute when we drove by. A slice of heaven on earth!
Adam Guild
One of the best hiking areas in South Carolina. Busy on weekends . A must visit spot if you are just passing through. 7/23 hiked the Table Rock trail up to Governor's Rock,it was 104 degrees . Absolutely brutal but worth it.
Christie Nielsen Chaar
Beautiful hiking area! We went on a moderate 2-mile hike (some slopes and stairs) and were impressed with the lovely rushing water and small waterfalls. Almost the entire trail was in the shade!
Ashley Berry
Trailside campsites are top notch, great location, easy to get to, great nearby views.
Robert Ferguson
I Love going to Table Rock. Been going there since I was a kid.
So relaxing to just walk the trails and enjoy what God has created.
I truly recommend this park to anyone who needs a down time from the hectic everyday life.
C W
Ok, I'll admit that the weather might have something to do with my rating. It was an absolutely perfect fall day to hike a rock. The Table Rock Trail is a challenge, but well worth it. There's multiple views at the top and along the way where it seemed like you could see forever on a clear day. What your footing because it's a pretty rugged trail and very crowded. Enjoy!
Matt YouTube-FloridaAmbient
Awesome place to camp, glamp, fish, hike, swim, boat... They have it all! There are stores just in case you forgot something and even firewood if you need it! The Park Rangers and staff are super helpful if you need assistance.
Diane McClung
Nice hike, our dog loved it. Bring lots of water to drink.
Ashley Jensen
Beautiful landscape, clean and convenient campsites, and friendly staff. Each site has their own water, electricity, pit/grill, table, and ample space for 2-3 tents (or an RV). The restrooms were clean and fully stocked. Numerous hiking trails of various skill levels, and plenty of waterfalls to wet your feet along the way. We spent 4 days camping and never tired of the amenities. Hiked a different trail everyday, followed by kayaking and swimming in the lake. Still more trails we didnt get to try, but all the more reason to come back. And the scenery was breathtaking. Absolutley gorgeous. We went in the middle of June, 2020. It was probably one of my favorite places to camp and hike. 10 out of 10 would do again.
Brad Johnson
Great fall hike. Would not recommend in summer or hot weather.
Lauren Kinser
Table rock was beautiful and I loved going behind the falls
Lisette Mujica
Table Rock is a must see park. The cabins are perfect. Very clean, very well prepared. The hosts when you check in are full of valuable information, make sure you ask them about what's available to do. Was not able to hike the trails due to a injury but need to come back just for that. The views are stunning from all over the park. Fishing was pretty weak. Everyone I asked didn't even get a nibble. However the hosts will tell you of other fishing spots nearby that are very good. I definitely would and will go back for another stay.
Kenny Tucker
Great time tent camping. Bath houses are in really good shape. All levels of hiking and adventure on site as well as plenty of outdoor activities nearby.
Stephanie Owens
Beautiful place to go and spend the day or several days. There are adorable cabins in which to stay, or a clean campground. This is just a peaceful place with gorgeous scenery.
Chad Malphrus
I enjoyed it beautiful if you take carrick creek trail I suggest you go right at the entrance the hike up is steeper but you get the hard part over with and the rest is easy sailing will definitely be back one day.
Lainey Graber
We went over Veterans Day weekend and it was absolutely stunning with the fall foliage. My husband and I agreed that the park is highly underrated and offers so much! We didn’t get to take advantage of all of it in our 3 day trip, but below is a review of each part we did:
Table rock trail - the first 2 miles are pretty tough and it picks back up a little closer to the summit, but SO worth it. There are several incredible views along the hike. It’s about 3.5 miles one way and my husband and I made it up in 2 hours and down in about 1.5 hours. The park estimates 3 up and 2 back, so based on your speed, you’ll need 3.5-5 ish hours, but definitely give yourself time to enjoy the views. 2-3 liters of water is perfect for the trip.
Mill Creek Falls spur trail - this is a short hike going around a lake. There are benches where you can sit and take in the view of table rock across the lake. They also have seasonal swimming and kayak rentals. It’s a great place to picnic and also runs right past the Gains Lodge (see below).
Gains Lodge - available for rental use and where some of the park events are held. They had bluegrass bands playing there the weekend we went, which was so fantastic. The lodge has a great view and leads to the mill creek falls spur trail.
Primitive camp sites - if I were rating this alone, I would probably give it 4 stars just because the campsites were closer together and further from the lake than we expected based on the website. The sites are pretty clustered, but they all have hooks to hang bags, picnic tables, fire pits, and tent squares. We stayed at tent site 5 which was right in the middle of the cluster. Sites 4 and 6 probably have the most space. The walk in from the parking lot is 3-5 minutes, which was pretty nice. The walk to the privy and water was probably longer than that, so we only did that once (if the visitor center at the parking lot was open, we went there to use the restroom and fill up water). The camp sites are up on a hill above the lake and surrounded by trees that block the view of the lake quite a bit, but still very nice sites. Overall we loved the experience! Also, park entrance fee is covered by the campground pass, so be sure to sign in at the visitors center!
April Morris
Absolutely Gorgeous place to go camping........
RJ Plumley
Great state park. We stayed in the campground and had a great time. Make sure to bring the golf cart if you have one, and make time to take the short hike to the falls at the beginning of the table rock trail.
Daisy flower
The hike was harder on my legs than I thought ! Loved the trails but the trees really do cover the view . Had a great hike here . A lot of parking so that was a plus
JitkaKac
Beautiful, not so crowded park. The lodge with an overlook will give you peace. We didn't climb up the Table Rock, that's a challenging hike! Lookouts do it justice.
Tanya Oakley
Beautiful place ...wonderful trails
Jim S.
Great State Park! Came here as a kid in the 50's. Been coming ever since. Now I bring my kids, grand kids! Well kept park only gets better. Wonderful trails, views. Nice campsites and cabins. Great park staff. Always friendly. Highly recommended a visit!
Sam Baity
Absolutely awesome state park with very clean hiking trails galore, and swimming areas. Well used but come during non peek time for best enjoyment. Well staffed by friendly park personnel.
Jasmine Pelzer
Carrick Creek Trail was a great loop!
Nicholas Clark
GREAT DAY!! Wonderful to see people taking advantage of the opportunity to get outside. The park is beautiful, the trails well marked and maintained. If you are looking for a place to go hiking look no further. This place is a gem!
Casey Wurst
We took the Pinnacle Mountain trail to the Bald Knob up and back, which took us about 4 hours of moderate hiking most of the way, then more strenuous. The views were incredible, the scenery was full of interesting waterfalls and rock formations, and had we had more time to spend we could have done a lot more exploring in the area. The information centers were all full of helpful people too. Certainly worth the $5/person it cost to hike the trails!
Andy Hutt
Beautiful place to hike and camp. Has trails suited to just about anybodys capabilities. The hike to Table Rock can be strenuous, but the views are extremely rewarding. Give yourself enough time to spend some time at the top to take in the views. We also camped in the White Oaks area. Loved it. Very secluded there. Best restrooms at a campground I've been to, and the best water pressure in the public showers. Will definitely return to hike the Pinnacle!
Amanda McCraw
Stunning views at breathing heights, not without a slightky difficult hike first though. There are beautiful spots that are easier to hike to but they get better the farther up the mountain you go. I highly suggest rainbow falls for anyone who is in good enough shape for a strenuous 5.5 mile hike!
Mark Beery
We recently moved to the area from Chicago and could not be more pleased with all this park has to offer. Table Rock State Park in the Summer is full of people hiking, swimming and camping which can make for difficult parking if you arrive late in the day. With a family of five we took our first hike up and around the Carrick Creek trail. The sights of the water falls and natural beauty had us hooked for more family hikes each and every weekend we had available. What's more, we could jet on down to the swimming area and spend the rest of the day lakeside. If you happen to be here in the Fall, it is beyond spectacular! The Fall leaves seem never ending as weeks went by with continues colors that rival any place in the country. On our last visit, family from around the country spent Thanksgiving in cabins and camped out in the spaces provided. during the daytime this year temperatures rose to around a very comfortable 60-65 degrees, at night, well be sure you you have plenty of firewood as it became a bit chilly. Our last hike Thanksgiving weekend involved the Table Rock Trail which is roughly 3.6 miles one way. I died!! The rest of the family had no problem and the end results were an amazing view of the Fall colors and beautiful countryside. Well worth the hike just prepare yourself with great shoes, sturdy legs and plenty of water! Definitely of 5-star park in the state of South Carolina!
Robert Martinez
Absolutely gorgeous! Amazing views! Highly recommend a day or weekend away here. Be sure to take plenty of water if wanting to do the longer trails. Very hard & strenuous but well worth the hike.
David Mccall
I enjoyed the hike to the top of the mountain. It took a little over 3 hours to obtain. What I did not enjoy was the condescending attitude of the person responsible for the registration at the base of the climb.
Daniel Davis
Gorgeous Views from around the Lake
Devin Beals
So beautiful! Hiked up Pinnacle Mountain and saw some amazing views! The lake was nice as well. Little waterfalls and peaceful just what I needed!
David Hughes
Beautiful park. Top 5 for sure.
Scott Graham
Great hiking and great camping! The Table Rock trail is extremely strenuous but has some really rewarding views. If it's your first time, just so you know, Governor's Rock is only 3/4 of the way. If you keep going up you'll get to a really nice view towards Greenville where you can at least see Paris Mountain. IMO, the best view is father down the trail. You can come out to a wide open spot looking at Table Rock Lake and Ceasar's Head. I think you can see all the way to Chestnut Heritage Preserve.
The campsite is also very well kept. The staff were great. If you want a less strenuous hike, the Palmetto Trail leaving the campsite is very nice. I hiked .5-.75 miles and was able to get 3-4 bars with T-Mobile. Overall, I highly recommend the hiking and the camping here.
Kwambe Wright
This was my second time going to the summit, and every time I enjoy it. The views are totally worth the climb and effort. The price is very reasonable. If you have bad knees, I'd be a little wary of attempting this climb. There are lots of natural and unnatural steps to climb, however, there is a shorter, less grueling trail that doesn't go to the top that might be easier. Just enjoy nature and do the best you can!
Brendan Blowers
Table Rock State Park is a beautiful location with incredibly well-maintained facilities by an active park ranger staff.
The headquarters is across the highway from the park entrance, but that should be your first stop to pick up a map and have a sit on the back porch swing that looks at the face of the mountain.
Once you cross into the trail head parking area, access to the trails is from the boardwalk to the west of the nature center. There is a beautiful waterfall only 50 yards from the parking lot.
The Carrick Creek Trail is the one I would recommend doing with kids. It follows the creek before climbing up a ridge to a few more small waterfalls.
There are a lot of places to stop for a picnic or to rock hop across the shallow creek waters.
This trail is 1.8 miles and takes over an hour because of the terrain.
If you want to make a summit hike, you can connect to that trail from the fork at the Carrick Creek Trail halfway point.
A kid’s playground near the parking lot proved to be the perfect way to end our daddy/daughter day of hiking at Table Rock.
This is a fantastic park with beauty everywhere you look and experienced Rangers ready to provide assistance where needed.
Check the current events at the headquarters to see about upcoming music or ranger-led sunrise hikes that are part of Table Rock’s seasonal programming.

What more can I say.........all of the pain was worth it! Totally, absolutely, incredibly worth it!! We have never ventured as far as the Table Rock Mountain due to time constraints but we finally planned an early morning/afternoon to accomplish the hike. It is over 7 miles and over 3,100 feet above sea level and took us from 8:45am-1:30pm from start to finish (with about 20 mins of down time at the top of Table Rock). The hike down was much more difficult than the hike up due to the steep nature of the mountain. I wouldn’t recommend taking smaller children and ensure you pack plenty of water and something to snack on once you make it to the top. Overall, great hike and breath taking views. 😁
Laura Rolke
Another SC State Park with well-maintained and well-marked trails! I've hiked the Table Rock Trail twice now and it's been great both times. Keep in mind, this hike has an average finish time of 5 hours and you need to bring a lot of water.
anita minong
Very beautiful place to walk around.
Angela James
The park is massive with many amenities. If you enjoy nature and God's creation, then Table Rock is a must visit.
Lauren Heckman
This is our second time renting a cabin at Table Rock, and we love it even more this time! Plenty of fishing, hiking, canoeing or just hanging out in a hammock. Perfect vacation spot for the outdoorsy family!
Kate Z
Challenging hike up Table Rock with an amazing view of the lake. Halfway on the trail, there is a nice overlook and rest stop. It took me about 4 hrs to finish.
Amanda Rowan
What can I say that others haven't? It's a beautiful park with a ton of amazing trails and waterfalls. You can choose your complexity of hikes, from minimal to "almost impossible.". The water is peaceful and beautiful. We camped, and the lots are a little smaller than some other parks, but there weren't many people there. The cabins look gorgeous and I would love to go back and rent one. There is no cell reception, so plan on that. The trails are pretty well maintained with only a few congested spots. The lake is stunning first thing in the morning. It's definitely one of our top parks now and can't wait to go back.
Whitney Anderson
Very nice location to fish. There is no swimming or motor boats allowed but a pier to fish off of. I discovered this place today and plan to return really soon with a rod and reel. Some rules for fishing but nothing to strict. And you can see Table Rock to the left of the pier. Beautiful site. Go check it out.
Stugee G.
Beautiful ride to a beautiful park.

This state Park offers gorgeous views of the surrounding scenery and lake. The hike to the summit is very strenuous and difficult but is well worth the climb.
jm lindley
We had a great weekend camping in the White Oaks campground at Table Rock. Campground and restrooms were clean. Host was very friendly informative and helpful. Creeks and waterfalls were full of water from recent rainfall. Enjoyed hiking and taking in all nature had to offer while listening to the peaceful sound of water flowing in nearby creeks.
Brian F
Quite a nice hike...some parts are okay...for the most part it is up hill if heading to the overlook...
Stop at governor's rock for a break...I didnt get sore even though i dont hike too much...good steps on rocky areas...huge boulders everywhere and some little waterfalls near the base...
Sapphire Skiba-Alonso
Great place to drive around and see all the beautiful nature. Most definitely have to bring my canoe to take a stroll in the lake! There are also awesome cabins I'll be using for my mama retreat!
Alan Iacoviello
Table Rock State Park is a must for anyone visiting the upstate of South Carolina. Beautiful views of the mountain can be found throughout the park. Hiking trails abound. Be aware that the hiking is in the “very strenuous” category. Those who go to the summit are rewarded with spectacular views.
Trish Bayer
Best park to camp at in SC! Has a lake to swim in, easy hiking trails and one moderate 7 ( Round trip) joke to the top of Table Rock. Well worth the trip but leave early so you can luncheon up top and take in the view.
Gina Millard
Loved our visit to Table Rock State park. It was a day trip for us this time, but we have camped here before. Lots of hiking trails from easy to strenuous, so something for every nature lover.
Alex Barron
Always amazing. Table Rock Trail is a beast that I hope everybody gets to slay atleast once in in their lifetime. Our SC State Parks are just beautiful!!!
A Bright
Beautiful park!
Nice gift shop.
Clean park with nice day use areas.
Be sure to check out Caesar's Head State Park for a great view of table rock mountain.
Alan Gilstrap
Located in the upper part of Pickens county this State Park is absolutely gorgeous. There many hiking trails for all levels of fitness. There's also cabins that can be rented as well as camping spots, both primitive and hook-ups.
Lake Pinnacle offers a swimming area as well as paddle boats. Fishing is also available. Lots of wildlife.
This area has some great views. You owe it to yourself to see this area of Pickens County SC.
Benjamin Zuehlke
This is a tremendous hike, however, it is not for everyone. (That is the reason for 4 star) That being said, once you get started on this hike you will have to triumph over many many many steps. Mileage is not too difficult, just 3.5 miles one way. But the steep ascent does make it difficult. You must be extremely cautious when the ground is wet, making many of the rocks slick. Proper footwear is a must. Hiking sticks recommended, especially since it can help with the descent with your knees as well as providing stability.
You are rewarded with enchanting views of the mountains. (Technically the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains) After the shelter things stay pretty level for a bit till you get to the real meat. (Or steps into Morder as some people like to call them) At Governor Rock you get a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You have to keep going though if you want to see two more overlooks. The cost though is another stepping ascent which can be strenuous. Follow the red blazes and you will come across the second overlook to your right. It is a bit shallow with a fairly steep rock platform so don't go too close to the edge. Get back on the red blazed path and follow it to a clearing then down to a slight right. That is where you will find the fantastic view where you can see Paris Mountain, Caesar's Head, and even Greenville city on a clear day.
Terrey Streath
Love this place! Always an adventure. Clean & quiet. Not too remote, but out of the way. Many good memories of this place from when my boys and I used to tent camp here. Great place for kids if all ages!
Josh Macfarland
Awesome views and plenty to do for whole family.
Ankit Gupta
Good for hiking.
Too hot for summers.
West gate entry charge is $6 per adult.
Parking is free.
Stevin Wilson
The hike to the top of the hill was strenuous; but it was a fun family activity! Would definitely recommend carrying a few bottles of water and snacks for the hike.
Jan Riggs
We love to go hiking here..and of course canoeing. It's a great park with waterfalls and trails. Love to stay in the cabins when we can get away.
Andi Lockett- Johnson
The most amazing and breathtaking views. Swimming, paddle boat, bass boat and canoe rentals. Cabins. Store. Hiking, waterfalls. Stunning!
Chris Nycum
Took a great hike around the lake. Rangers are helpful and friendly. Just beautiful views of the table rock.
Tasha Green
Campground was ok. Super close to your neighbors.
Bath house was clean. But not constant. We had a 3 night stay and on our first night they shut it down.
It was the only bath house at white oak. They suggested we used the bathroom st the top of the hill. I do not recommend. It was crawling with bugs. As u used the bathroom the bugs would crawl on u. The next bathroom was about 7 minutes away at the other campground . This was not feasible in the middle if the night. Also summer time is too hot for tent camping. All around a cute place to stay. Just avoid in summer
Tiffany Kemp
Did the 2 mile hike around the lake. Beautiful hike, easy, saw some birds and lots of different mushrooms. Some great places to sit and just enjoy the beauty!
Art Taylor
A great place to camp, hike, fish and enjoy the outdoors.
Steven Hall
Had a great time here canoing on the lake, was very nice to paddle out into the lake and relax with a great view. Went hiking afterwards and that was great too, the tail I went on had some nice water features.
Josh Snipes
An amazing park! Haven't been here before but I am absolutely going to bring the kids back.
So convenient and easy to enjoy the time.
Patrick Rooney
Very pretty park the swimming area could use a update
Mallori Wolfe
We loved everything! The visitors center was so helpful, had souvenirs, firewood and lots of helpful info. Very kind employees. Stop in to check out a 3D map of the trails! The trails were well maintained, beautiful views the entire hike, just nothing we didnt like. Will come back for more trails and seasons
David Nolen
Beautiful State Park. We'll be back in a few weeks to check out more of the hiking trails.
Crystal Kaczmarczyk
Beautiful experience that my oldest took me to on the way back from the pretty place.
Zadok Moss
This is an excellent place with great facilities. I've been camping here since I was a kid and will continue to bring my family here. The staff are always friendly and there's plenty to do. The campground has good facilities and is regularly patrolled. Highly recommend this park!
donnahiggy
(We actually stayed here last year (9/28/21) and I am going by my notes)
Beautiful park! Beautiful Lake (although there was a scum on the top of it). We kayaked around it and the sites from the kayak were awesome! The park itself is well maintained and beautiful. The campground has 2 loops. We stayed in what was the quieter of the 2, White Oaks Loop. Our site was 93. It was a pull-thru. We did have to level on one side. We were next to the camp host whom was awesome. There is no Wi-Fi anywhere in the park and you can only get a couple local TV channels on the TV. You could hear the creek behind us in the woods in the mornings. We took the Carrick Trail and it was beautiful with lots of small waterfalls. 1.9 miles. Some sites looked small and unlevel. Ours was fine. Nice park.... I would stay again!
Edward 't Hart
Beautiful quite campgrounds and awesome scenery. Lovely lake for swimming and plenty to do in the surrounding area. In addition, Ranger Autumn went above and beyond for a relatively minor request of mine some time after we'd visited, and I can't commend her enough!
Karen C
Hiking the trails is a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the park. Make sure you have some good shoes and a walking stick.
ramon cabezas
Great place to go,nice camping area ,but no wild live anywere, great aventuré area.went all the way to the top .. very friendly staff.but no wildlive anywere.....
Shan
Went on a Thursday in Sept 2020 and surprisingly the parking lot was more than half full. Weekend must be packed. We took the table rock trail... Really quite strenuous but the view at the top was worth it..
JimboBaggins
When I came here I was blown away. The facilities were super clean, there was ample parking, and the views once I hiked to the top of table rock were amazing. So amazing in fact, that this was where I proposed to my then girlfriend. If you want breathtaking views this is definitely the place to come.
Joseph Berrojo
We had such an amazing experience here! We stayed at Mount Laurel camp electric and absolutely loved it. The staff is super nice and friendly!
James Drapinski
The trails are usually very well kept up. I've been to Wildcat Wayside more than the trails inside the main gate, but they're all fun!
Kade Wolfley
Beautiful waterfalls and plenty of trails to hike.
Jeffrey Gamboa
ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING views when you are at the top! You can easily see a lot of SC and NC when you’re up there! BUT, the hike is HARD, like to the point where I wanted to chop my feet off! Know what you’re getting into though, because it’s like a 7 mile hike if you do the whole trail!
Bill Osburn
This is an awesome park. Very scenic. This is the view from SC-11. Careful not to take your eyes off the road too long.
Lila Navarro
Love table rock park so many trails plus beautiful sunsets.
Erik Cristina Ott
I love coming here for the trails and the views! I've hiked here before, camped and set up hammocks just for a few hours in between trails! Lovely place, great atmosphere. Beautiful place to come and explore the outdoors! I highly recommend coming here!
Josh Kennedy
My wife and I spent HOURS on end exploring this park. Their only downfall is that they restricted swimming to inside their shallow roped area so it's no longer a good place to swim. Trails are well maintained and breathtaking and the streams and waterfall are beautiful.
Jake Wilbanks
Awesome trails! Very beautiful views. Alot of the trails are pretty difficult, dont let the mileage fool you. Alot of elevation gain, but absolutely worth it. Have hiked Table Rock to Sassafras multiple times and absolutely love it!
Klaus P
Beautiful place. We have a full video on YouTube under Family Hobbies and Cards... Search Table Rock.
Roger Staten
Wow! SC mountain park, blossoming mountain Laurels, trails, beautiful scenery on every side. Great Time!
yuni castillo
Absolutely beautiful trail. A solitude experience if you go during winter. Nice treats if you’re into the mycologist world.
Shelia Saunders
Simply stunning. Every park ranger and employee we met were incredibly friendly and helpful. The kayaking and pedal boats were great fun! And the cabins are close to Lake Pinnacle. We're going back every chance we get!
Stewart Armstrong
We had a great time. We stayed in the primitive spots and they were great. You were not too close to other people and the had a fire pit and a place to hang the food/trash. Tent pads were smooth and big. Pet friendly. Lots of trees for hammocks as well. We will definitely be back.
Charlie
This is a very beautiful park and I had a great experience here with my family. If you want to rent a paddle boat or kayak you need to get a key from the visitors center across highway 11 from the lake, at least when I was there, but besides that minor inconvenience I’m very glad I visited here
Tandi Gowan
We love it here. We try to take our grandsons there camping every year. Highly recommend!!!
WMW
We are visiting South Carolina from out of state. Checked in at the visitor center and got directions to the hiking trails. Very nice visitor center by the way. We selected the Carrick Creek Trail. It was beautiful and easy to follow. We are in our 70's, not regular hikers and it was all we wanted. There were a couple of stream crossings that were hard for us. Other than those we loved it. Roads in and out were good. Our car gps brought us a weird way from Greenville but it did get us there. Doing it again I would use Google for navigation.
Senthilvel Thiruvadi
Excellent place to camping and visit near by falls in NC and GA. Lot of good scenic place to see and waterfall trails and hiking is also good . Stuff and store is good .
Janet Eargle
Today was so amazing because I went to Ceasars Head first and they wouldn't let me in so I went to TABLEROCK STATE PARK AND THEY LET ME IN TO CAPTURE THE MOST AMAZING PHOTOS OF A LIFE TIME FOR ME THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR BEAUTIFUL DAY
Scott French
We camped two nights in a trailer. The staff is awesome. Very helpful and friendly. They work hard at maintaining all the facilities and it shows. The hike up the mountain is a workout and the views are totally awesome.
Austin Roemer
Beautiful view and wonderful hike. I would recommend to anyone interested in hiking if you're visiting the area.
Aron Lesley
How could you not Fall 🍁for this views ? …
Jay Ratliff
We hiked the Carrick Creek trail. Beautiful waterfalls on this 2.0 mile loop. Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet.
Erin Lindner
We really enjoyed our stay!! We ran into an issue when we were ready to leave with our vehicle. The campground host Beth was so nice and helpful with lots of resources to help us!! Thanks Beth 💚 we appreciate all your help!! …
Jeff Atkins
This is a signature park in SC. The trails are great and there are several different levels of difficulty. Everyone should hike.to.the top.at least once in their life if they're able to.
Amber Kusmier
We really love this state park. We attended an event and ended our afternoon in the lake. We have enjoyed a guided hike in the past and cookouts. The one thing we would like to do is camp there! Admission is pretty cheap, so check it out one day!
Prashanth Naik
Beautiful, drone allowed and pet friendly place. Pretty good view and hike !
Jennifer
This is a gorgeous park. I almost killed myself trying to get to the summit of Table Rock mountain. It is a very difficult hike but beautiful views.
Papiya Sharmin
I liked the visitor center area , but swimming place wasn’t up to the mark
Kristi Hoffmaster
Seems to be handling the pandemic well. Staff very helpful and friendly. Wonderful and peaceful along the lake!
Danny
Great and well marked trails. Work up a sweat on the trails and the cool off by diving from the high dive into the lake. Fun!
Lex
Well maintained park with great views on table rock summit and pinnacle.
Nathan Long
Wife and I came here for our anniversary (first place we hiked together) and had a blast. Walking past the different waterfalls and getting to set on the rocks near them was really fun. Trails are well marked and maintained. Different trails for different types of hikers. The offer a lot here and recommend it for everyone.
Ester Wegener
Love hiking this place. Kinda hard bcoz I was slacking in my workout routines lately lol. There are some steep rocks you need to climb but if a kid can do it, you can too!! Thats what I was saying when I was about to give up this hike lol.
Martin Marrero
Super cool park, spacious, clean, good water pressure and lots of amenities.
Kelly Simpson
Beautiful for a wedding. If was very nice place to attend. Beautiful scenery!
Travis L
One of my favorite state parks, plenty of hiking, fishing, and camping to be experienced for outdoor adventures of all levels.
Brian Otte
Nice camp ground. Awesome hike to the top, well worth the trip! The view from the summit is amazing!
Michelle Luna
Loved the hike, I recommend Carrick trail for sight-seeing and the Table Rock or Pinnacle trails for the long haul hike
Lisa Rutledge
Wonderful easy hike on Carrick Creek Trail. FYI left spur is similar to a fitness trail that provides rock path across creek. Beginners pace yourselves because you can be easily fooled into thinking it's a breeze and 1/2 way through be worn out. I speak from experience. Enjoy nature along the way. NOTE: Telephone service for most was spotty at best. Thank you Cricket I have no complaints. Streaming was a struggle, but we're camping. Downloads work :)
Kimberly Turner
Beautiful water falls, hiking trails and wonderful swimming lake area.
James Johnson
Another great upstate SC state park. I hiked the pinnacle mountain trail. Be ready to breathe hard and sweat. It's up, up, up, but the view from bald knob is well worth the hike. Be on the look out for the guy pictured below.
Charles Helms
Elevator was broken only got $2 discount. Do not attempt if you are not in good shape without elevator. You will be disappointed. Please fix the elevator instead of building new decks and rest areas! Would leave 5 star review with working elevators.
Gypsy Rose
Beautiful! Be prepared for a long hike and TONS of stairs!
Dave Emerson
Excellent campsites, clean bathrooms, beautiful scenery and the park staff were "South Carolina Friendly.and Helpful", and that's a good thing!
Thank you South Carolina and Table Rock State Park.
P Thomas
Nothing but greatness in this area ..- make the trip , you won’t be disappointed
C Rieger
Beautiful area. The leaves were changing. More people around for a weekday afternoon than expected.
Tracey Tribble
Absolutely beautiful. Very clean and the young lady in the concession stand was very friendly. Took a paddle boat ride and walked a trail.
Mason Lynch
Beautiful place. Love the paddle boats and trails.
Donna Dean
Wonderful scenery and atmosphere walking to the falls. Beautiful
Shawnee Axtell
I have hiked the Table Rock trail and Pinnacle trail. Enjoyed the Table Rock much more as there us a bit of rock climbing involved and each time the trail changes due to downed trees, making it even more challenging. They are both very strenuous! Great hikes though
Wendy Schrodt
Awesome area to hike around.
Carleen Goding
Wonderful atmosphere. Well kept and clean. Family friendly.
Charles Baumbach
It is very beautiful, everyone is very nice and helpful! We had a great time, we'll go again.
Roger Staten
Was pretty much a drive through visit, but great scenery and access roads. Disappointed that interpretive center was closed.
Tiffany Dorris
Love staying at Table Rock. The trails are nice, lifeguarded swimming area, and nice cabins.
Tom Cahalan
Cabins are clean and comfortable. The staff are very accommodating.
Anthony Schwalm
Easy to navigate trails. Challenging terrain. But the view from the top is amazing!
Bonnie Flory
Beautiful trails, which feel longer than they are due to various levels of inclines/declines. I wish I had taken more pictures.
Aimee Lim
A moderate hike and rewarded with a amazing view. Be sure to bring ample amount of water.
JB N
Beautiful hikes. Well built,cozy cabins.
deepak reddy
Amazing view from top of the mountain. Experienced a different and adventurous hike. Worth visiting with group of friends and family ✌🏻 …
g l
Amazing park! Great campsite, trails, restrooms and atmosphere!
Colby Gardner
What an incredible day at the Lodge and State Park! We were there for a wedding and enjoyed the views, the lodge, and every other moment of it! Don't miss it if you're in the area!
Shelley M
Beautiful drive, beautiful outlook. A really winding road. Kind of the "dragons tail" of this area.
Dwight House
We start some of our bicycle rides from here. The scenery is beautiful.
Claude Kelley
I absolutely love Table Rock. It is one of my most favorite places on the planet. The view of Table Rock, from the porch swing at the visitor center, near sunset can't be beat. My wife and I just stayed at one of the cabins for two nights, and it was amazing.
Ansley Lloyd
i have fallen in love with this place. there is a playground for young kids, there is a lake side trail that goes around the pinnacle lake that is easy. there is a waterfall right at the start of the trails were u can swim. I have hiked the table rock summit trail twice. it is quite strenuous but very a rewarding hike. the views from the top are worth it. if you wanna hike it i would recommend that you bring lots and lots of water and a little food. the earlier you start the hike the better.
Mandy Doar
Stayed a couple of nights in one of the cabins. Had all the amenities we needed. Very clean. Friendly staff.
Chris Smith
Amazing place just to get away from everyday. We will be back!
Christian Sutton
Pinnacle Mountain is a good hike, there is a wonderful look up at Bald Knob.
Eric Evans
It's a nice place to visit. The views are awesome.
Claudia Satterfield
Such a beautiful part of our amazing state. Different Thanksgiving but very relaxing.
Gigi Jules
My family has been coming to the park for over 40 years. Love, love, love this place! Owns a piece of my heart!
Tessa Long
Awesome park, Table Rock trail is challenging but fun, and the view from the top is worth it.
Jim Edwards
Went swimming over 4th of July weekend. Many persons at park but we had a great time with our grandchildren. Beautiful place.
Stacey Debiasse
This place it was great! So much to do here you can rent boats for as little as $5, swim, hike, fish and play on the playground. All from the same parking lot. As other reviewers have stated these are not walking trails these are more hiking trails so come prepared.
daniel Hartley
Love this place go all the time. Beautiful land. God's country
Bryan Sanders
The park was very busy the weekend we stayed. The bathroom has two toilets and one hasn't had toilet paper now for over 24 hours. In a time where cleanliness is of utmost importance it doesn't seem this place is putting in much effort in that area. The park is nice. The upkeep is deplorable.
Christina Napolitano
My family and I stayed in Cabin 3 for a few days. We had a great time. My children loved the Carrick Creek trail. I think this trip may have gotten my little into hiking. The cabin was pretty clean. The floors could us a good mopping but other than that no issues with cleanliness.
Matthew Wilson
Good place to swim and hike. The beach and swim area has a good flat area and you could get a wheelchair close to the water with only a bit of hassle. I do suggest bringing a shade umbrella if it's a hot day.
The walk / hike around the lake is not smooth at all and you could not get a stroller or wheelchair around it.
Chris Altman
Awesome place. Long hikes and when they say strenuous, they mean it.
Melissa A
Beautiful view from the water. Swimming, diving, paddle boats, kayaks and canoes...all make for a fun day with the kids!
victoria williamson
Beautiful area but disgusting dog owners. 2 times on the trail DOG POOP LEFT. Ppl if you can't pick up after your dog do not bring them to a public hiking trail!!!
J Garza
It's a great state park for the whole family. There's about a 2 mile trail to hike around the lake and there's also a kiddie play ground. In the summer they have swimming, kayaking and paddle boats.
John Corcoran
Perfect retreat for a beautiful day hike...will spend more time next visit!
Kristin
I seen this place online and told my sister I wanted to visit when we come up. I didnt realize it was a good place to spend all day or I would have prepared. We paid 20.00 to get in for a couple hours. I thought the price was a bit high but if it were an all day visit it would have been ok. This place is beautiful. Great place to spend a day with family swimming bbqing trail hiking scenery and the lake was pretty nice. The swimming area was not that big though. The waterfalls on the hike were awesome. There wasnt too many ppl there so it was great. The place was overall pretty clean and well maintained. There was plenty of parking when we went. Wish we could have gone further on the hike but we were limited on time. I seen they had cabins to rent so maybe next time we will stay in one of those. It was just a beautiful place with many things to do while there. highly recommend.
Ronnie W.Jr.
Was a beautiful hike up the mountain, just not a easy one. Nice friendly staff.
Tom Sliker
Love this place. Home of the Start (or end) of the Foothills Trail. A great hike to the top.
Susan
Staff very friendly and helpful. Even though last minute we still ended up with a very nice spot. Very clean and close to Greenville, great weekend to beat the heat.
Jenny B
First time here. The most beautiful hike I've had yet. Trails for all kinds of walkers and climbers. Waterfalls, many beautiful picture opportunities. Spread out over both sides of the main road. Campsites available to camp by the stre and water or rent a cabin. Will definitely be back!
Sheila Goodman
Nice hike beautiful views
Tracy Smith
Nice area. Large lake. Lots of trails
Just Another SAHM
Loved the cabins! Nice room inside and enough outside room for running and playing. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will be back!
Meghan Brummund
Great park! The staff at the visitors center were SO helpful! Clear maps and parking, with easy trail access, and various levels of hiking, all very clearly marked, and tons of rocks/waterfalls! Great layout. Did an easy hike but looking forward to going back for one that will get us closer to the top!
Navin Beharry
Scenic park with breath taking views
Tim Dyar
Great place to visit for a swim or hiking.
Arterio Arnold
Beautiful park. Great place to take the kids and explore nature to varying degrees.
david hutchinson
It is one of my favorite parks to visit. If you love being out in nature and love a good challenging hike, I would recommend it.
Elizabeth C
This park is so beautiful. We hiked the Carrick Creek trail with a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old (carried most of the way). The trail was lovely and well marked, crossing several creeks and not crowded. Our 7-year-old did great, it was the perfect length and difficulty for her- one snack break in the middle!
We picnicked beside the lake and took a pedal boat out for a while. If you're planning on renting a boat, I'd recommend bringing your own life jackets. They have plenty available, they're just a bit mildewy.
Brian DiMaggio
What an awesome park! We had a great time hiking the table rock trail, unfortunately our camper broke down, but we called Bill Canaday and he was able to get it fixed in few hours for a good price.
William Hartis
This is an awesome state park with a multitude of opportunities to relax, play, and enjoy nature. I've been going here since I was a kid and I still go at least once a year. The facilities are all updated and well maintained, and the network of hiking trails are well marked and maintained consistently. There are recent and ongoing upgrades to the trails that include new steps and wooden walking paths over muddy parts. There are cabins, tent and RV spots, and a swimming area in the lake during the summer with it's own beach. The trailhead has an old fashioned swimming hole and the scenery is always breathtaking. You wont be disappointed if you visit!
David Simmons
Awesome hiking trails. Great views from the top. Take your time and keep moving. It's worth the trip. Watch out for snakes.
k faasse
A beautiful park!
There's hiking for all fitness levels at Table Rock State Park, beautiful pools and waterfalls, and friendly park rangers to answer all your questions and keep you safe. The facilities and picnic areas are clean and well kept, and the park offers lots of convenient parking. During summer months, there's swimming, and boat rentals for paddling on the lake.
Hike Lakeside Trail if you're looking for something short (app. 1.5 miles), not too strenuous, with great views of Table Rock. Hike Table Rock trail or Pinnacle trail if you want a longer/more strenuous hike.
Jennifer Waldron
Beautiful, plenty of nature and hiking all around you.
Bridget Edwards
Always have a blast here. Friendly staff and public. Great hiking trails and the view is just to die for.
Drew Hultstrand
The intense table Rock trail is well worth the mind melting views!
Rebecca Shields
Stopped at Pinnacle Dam Overlook and was blown away. Best pictures of the day!
Jonathan Young
My family always wanted to go to table rock when planning camping trips. About an hour or so ride from the house and i will never forget how beautiful it was.
Pierce Martin
One of the most beautiful and tranquil places in upstate South Carolina. Taking the trail from the nature center for even just a couple minutes and you will see beautiful waterfalls, and it just keeps getting better the further you go. If you have time and the physical ability, the Table Rock Summit Trail is well worth it for the views from the top. From the nature center, just follow the main trail and every time it forks keep right. Be prepared to scramble up rocks and boulders, and there's a slight elevation. It's not too bad, and absolutely worth it for the view.
Mary Hunter
Always love TRSP!! Beautiful any time of year!
J Sanders (Lpdragons03)
Beautiful state park with lots to do
RC K
Camped at the campground five nights. Clean bath houses, friendly staff, beautiful scenery! The weekend was a bit raucous. Several campsites were overflowing with people. But week days were great! Boat rentals are very reasonable. Staff is limited due to Covid, so you might have to search. We would definitely go back.
Jane Mozeleski
We enjoyed walking one of the easier trails, hearing the birds, seeing pretty flowers and majestic views of the mountains, and learning interesting facts about the Indians who lived there before white settlers came. Thank you for working hard to keep Table Rock State Park an interesting and pleasant place to visit!
The only suggestion for making it better would be to resurface Hwy 11 and parts of Hwy 25 (but we understand how less populated areas get such treatment less often than more populous areas.) :-)
Josh Burrell
Kids had fun walking trails and riding their bikes. The park was understaffed and everyone seemed stretched thin. Everyone was super nice but you could tell they were stressed. I don't know who is in charge of the state park system, but they are really making a mess of the parks. Cutting budgets and staff trying to bring in technology is not the answer! Every park my family and friends have visited in the last 2 years have closed and boarded up the rec centers due to cuts. They used to have ping-pong tables and other various games/ activities for kids to do in them to keep them busy and entertained! I also remember the camp staff doing ice cream socials and contests that the whole family could enjoy. Now the parks are cutting sites, redoing the lay outs of the camp sites and just making a mess of things. I first saw things decline at Camp Croft, then Baker Creek, Ceasars Head, and now Table Rock!! There has to be a connection management or ranger wise that needs to be looked in to.
Earl Gregorich
Great access to Table Rock. Beautiful forest crowded common areas. Campsites are spaced farther than some parks but still neighborly.
Angela Oliver
Awesome trail system for day hiking!
Samuel Clucas
Must rent a paddle boat or canoe to get the full effect. It was inexpensive and relaxing. The 5 dollar entrance fee is a little much.
Stan BEEKS
A challenging hike, but views at the summit are worth it!
Jess Bower
Gorgeous place! I was with my small children so I didn't get to explore any of the trails really but the area around the lake and welcome center is so pretty and relaxing to hang out at. This lake is also good for things like paddleboarding, canoeing, and kayaking (no swimming, though, just so you know)
D H
Well maintained and operated. Beautiful place to visit with the family.
Marie Church
Beautiful state park. Well maintained trails. Tons of streams and rivers. Nice footbridges as well. You can reach Sassafras Mountain by hiking roughly 10 miles on the foothills trail. I find that more rewarding than just driving to the overlook.
Debra Pochie
Beautiful Park with outstanding amenities! A must for camping!
Peg g
So we camped in our class a. In the Walnut hill. We had no car. The hiking is great. When we checked in I felt intimidated about the trails after talking to the park staff. I say go for it. To get to the trail head is a mile walk from the camping area, down the road. Steep grade towards the end. It sorta sucked after hiking several miles. The bathrooms were very clean. It’s a great park, beautiful area. I do want to return. They do not have full hookup, bring paper plates!
Casey Robinson
Gorgeous! Went fishing & ate at Aunt Sue's!
Barbara Shaver
Beautiful trails. Many varieties of birds in the woods and near the trails. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Campsites at White Oak need some leveling. Many are situated on "hill top" sites with steep slopes surrounding sites.
Victor Egoavil
Beautiful place to be in , nice ambiance and also neat and clean. Nice people and great diversity. Even that this place is an hour and a half away from home, I will not hesitate to visited again . I fully recommend this nice place.
Barb
Hot hot day. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hikers check in point.
Enjoyed kayaking the lake.
Katie Pilz
Excellent hiking and great views! The hike to the top isn't for the faint of heart! There is mostly uphill climbs to the top and you should bring plenty of water and snacks because it will take you a while! The view from the top is worth it though! There is also a nice natural pool with a waterfall near the parking lot that is great for kids! Mostly it is knee to waist deep on a adult.
Tommy Richards
Beautiful Views and great hiking. A must visit park
marlon vargas
Awesome hiking. Love the lake

Amazing how much fun 5 kids can have on a diving board. We hiked, went on a night paddle at sunset (highly recommended), fished, played in the rec hall, took out paddle boats, etc. There was never so much excitement though than when the kids first saw the diving boards in the swim area. Really great.
The country store has ample supplies if you forget anything. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot. The park staff is friendly and courteous. The trails are beautiful and well kept.
Mike Long
This is a great hike. Around 7.2 miles round trip. Very strenous hike was the lots of steps but well worth the view from the overlook. Took us 2 1/2 hours up and a little under 2 hours to come down. I had two teenage daughters who walked a little slower. Great family hike.
Tom Catalanotto
The only attraction around is hiking the trails.
The campground sites are more spacious than average, restrooms are very clean.
Lorraine Beaudry
We camp here every year. It is absolutely our favorite place because there are so many different things to do. It is relatively close to many other places of interest as well but we generally use our entire weeks vacation here every year. The staff is always kind & helpful. The park is well maintained. And the sites are very affordable and spacious.
Rick Graham
Moderate hike to the Top of Table Rock. Well worth the time. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Great place to bring your dog.
Cassandra Goldsmith
Table Rock is my favorite state park. Driving there is peaceful, there are trails like Lakeside and Carrick Creek I can walk comfortably and there is always someone there available to assist you with information. The Park Rangers were informative and provided pamphlets for other areas we could enjoy.
José Martinez
I love this place. I lived for 18 years in Greenville, SC and I visited this park a lot of times. What I like about this place is when you reach the top of the mountain, your view is impressive. There’s no words to explain it, you have to see it by yourself to enjoy it. There is also a lake at the bottom of the mountain. During the summer is crowded and you can cook out in the green spaces designated for it. There are trails that I didn’t have the opportunity to go through. However I can tell you that if you love outdoors, bring your camera to take some of the most exciting and great pictures. There’s no way to get bored when visiting this park. I definitely recommend it to anyone from a child to and old person alike.
Tom Lothridge
Great outdoor experience. Beautiful scenery.
Jarred
The Drive to this park alone is worth 5 stars. The road up to the park is breathtaking. Prepare to take about 3.5 hrs to climb to the peak of table rock. Plenty of scenic overlooks before reaching the peak. Once you have reached the top keep a safe distance from the edge and enjoy a relaxing view or a picnic. This is something I would do once a week if I could!
jladens
Absolutely gorgeous State Park. Everybody was extremely friendly and in the campground the Rangers drive by a couple times throughout the night just to check on everybody. If you are staying for a extended period of time, there are a few other state parks within the vicinity and suggest that you check them out. This location has access to the Palmetto Trail as well as numerous Trail systems within the park.
John Neary
Beautiful. Lower trails are full of waterfalls and gentle streams. Upper trails have fantastic views. Top trails are wooded and difficult for inexperience hikers. Something for everyone though! Nice areas for picnicking too. The trails are well maintained. Have fun!
Bobby Wyatt
I had a very nice time and enjoyed myself.
Billy Hill
Wonderful family camping experience. Super clean facilities for a campground. Park Rangers are super friendly. Will be back!
John Miller
We stayed the last week of August 2020 and the state park is a wonderful place for hiking, fishing and playing in the lake. The one thing to know, if you rent a cabin, come prepared to clean it yourself....lots of dust, including the bed linens...might want to bring your own.
Bruce Blackmon
We stayed in White Oak campground for one night and enjoyed it even though it was raining and cold. Camp host greeted us and was very personable and informative helped us with the hookups. Went hiking on Sunday after the rain. Our visit was relaxing and quiet. Thank you Cathy. Campground itself was nice but our site was not level and small, we fit our 35 ft motorhome but couldn't have brought a car no room. Camp store was closed but looked nice. The park could use a dump station at White Oak, you have to go to the other camping area for the dump station.
David Lewis
We went up from Columbia for a weekend camping trip and easily one of the smoothest trips we have ever been on. Facilities are clean and very friendly staff. We hiked the table rock trail which is very well maintained and nicely marked. But be warned if you are in great shape and an experienced hiker thins might be considered a moderate hike. But for everyone else this is a tough hike. It's a 3.4 mile hike one way with a 2000 ft vertical ascent. So it's steep in some parts. But the view is worth is, but bring plenty of water. If you are one to bring a water filter the last place I found a tiny stream to fill up is at the half way hut.
Jade Tressa
Love this place. The hike short hike is perfect for a family!
Chris Koslin
Beautiful state park with views of the beginning if the Blue Ridge Mountains. You can hike one of many trails and see abundant wildlife. Last time I was there we saw a beautiful eagle. I would highly recommend anyone who loves the outdoors go visit this park
Brandon McNeely
Amazing park with wonderful staff. Its always so nice and well maintained.
Kevin Keller
Great hiking and walking from easy paved sections to nice strolls in the woods to several hour strenuous steep trails. Clean restrooms, beautiful scenery, and breathtaking views.
Ron Lebron
The scenery was incredible and peaceful.
Gerald Roger jr
I am addicted to Outdoor attractions and hiking and trails and mountains and waterfalls and traveling and siteseeing oh my ;)
Paige Guard
I was just taking a scenic drive and decided to see what table rock had to offer.
I had a pleasant run in with park ranger Calvin. He was friendly, funny, and informative.
Joseph Williams
Such a pleasure to get away from the hustle and bussel of the beach during Memorial Day. Very friendly staff, wonderful trails and waterfalls. If you're camping in a RV bring boards to level your rig. Site aren't 100% level. Go ahead and save yourself some time and stay an extra day if possible. The line at the dump station to empty your tanks was pretty long.

I had my wedding at the Table Rock Lodge in July. The view from the balcony is breathtaking... a perfect backdrop for a special occasion! The Lodge is air conditioned so it's comfortable during the summer. They have rocking chairs and fireplaces... it's a cozy venue. Plenty of parking too, which is a plus! The only con is that this venue is very strict on regulations. Keys must be turned in by 8:30 PM (even earlier on Winter months), and all cleaning must be finished/inspected by then. It takes about an hour and a half for professional cleaning. Also, no fireworks or candles can be used (being a wooden Lodge, that's understandable). This Lodge is also very popular so it's often difficult to reserve the day before the wedding to use for rehearsal or setup. This could be a major setback for some people, especially if planning to decorate the Lodge. We had to decorate & set up all on the day of, just hours before the wedding. Having said that, if you plan ahead and know where to decorate, it's totally do-able! It's a lot of work, but it's a great place to get married. Great value, and more than anything, you can't beat the scenic beauty of this place!
Kelly Falk
Very nice state park. The cabin was great. The hike to Table Rock was strenuous but manageable for healthy folks in their 50s or 60s.
Glenn Miller, Jr.
Beautiful state park, was joking through on the Foothills Trail but made mental note I would love to return for a longer stay.
Lauren White
One of my favorite parks, been visiting here since childhood and now sharing it with my little one.
donald hadfield
This place is a hidden gem in the state park system. Biggest drawback, if you stay in the back park, you have two miles to dump your sewage. Very inconvenient if your staying for a long time. They do have a great bathroom/shower. Excellent hiking.
Christina Mckee
We Love Table Rock. We have tent camped and rented cabins. If you are driving long distance, cabins are your best bet. Only 16 available, so plan in advance. Tent or camper spots close to each other and no privacy. Lots of trees, so always shady. Hard clay and rocky surface so bring appropriate tools for your tent/table screen. Swimming lake wonderful. Old fashioned high dive platform with 2 levels. Paddle boat rental available. Swimming closed on most Mondays. Hiking starts at the bottom of a beautiful cool pool of water that the kids can access via a multi level deck. Rangers always helpful and friendly.
Christy Thrift
Beautiful park with awesome rock climbing
Steven Akers
Great hiking. Campsite was nice but bathrooms were dirty.
Kristin Mika
If I could give more stars I would. This place was simply amazing. We camped in the main camping site and was first greeted by the lady in the park store. It was 8:30pm when we arrived and she was super sweet and nice. Gave us all the information that we needed for our stay and how to find our campsite. Throughout the weekend park rangers/ staff emptied the campsite trash cans and cleaned the shower rooms. On Sunday we went to the camp store for ice and but they were out so we were sent to the information station. We were greeted by Crystal and Doreen and got into great conversation with them about our experience. We then talked to them about the military discount for S.C. national guardsmen and informed them that we couldn’t find the area on the reservation site to put it in. That evening a park ranger showed up to our campsite and informed us that he had caught wind of our having trouble of putting in for the discount and he wanted to ensure we got some sort of discount. He comped us a night stay and thanked us for our service. The hiking trails were wonderful. We did the Carrick creek trail because we had small kids with us. The views and scenery were refreshing. Every ranger and park staff we encountered were professional and courteous. I have absolutely no complaints about this park. I only have a suggestion to fix the shower knobs so that they work properly. Especially in the restrooms across from campsite 75. Other than that we will be returning here throughout the summer. One of the best areas to camp at. Gets cool at night and no mosquitoes to carry us away.
Zack Moorer
Wonderful campground; well kept campsites, warm and clean bathrooms, and friendly staff. We took the Table Rock path and it was very clean. The path was easy to find and there weren't many obsturctions on the path! Will be coming back to hike the Pinnacle trail!
Mirka Mendez
Greta state park! I went for a day visit but they have cabins available to stay. Lots of different trails and nice views.
The park rangers helped me big time. Definitely reccomend.
John White
Nice park. Great trails. Kind of weird how it is split into two parts (east and west). I didnt spend much time on east side. The west side is much larger and has the trials. If you go please read about the trials before you venture out. I saw a couple of kids (oldest was a teenager) hiking the pinnacle trail up To pinnacle mountain. He had maybe a half liter of water with him. It is a four mile one way trail. All up hill. It is worth hiking to bald knob of pinnacle mt. Great view.
Ellen Reich
In a word: impressive. Ended up at Table Rock to take in the great solar eclipse of 2017 & could not have been happier. Even before I got there, I was impressed by the clarity of their website. My first interaction at the park was with a great ranger, as it turns out, just one of many. The stunning place is also dog friendly, with great, well kept facilities, with views you don't even need to hike to, just the thing thing for an indoorsy person like myself! I, along with many of the fellow eclipse viewers I spoke with, all plan to return. But, really, this is just one public thank you note to the SC park system!
Joshua Bannon
If you are hiking Table Rock, Be prepared with Solid shoes, plenty of water, and leave early if you are going in the hot summer months.
The first .5 mile is relatively easy and scenic with waterfalls and bridges. From .5 mile to 2 miles expect to be going at a rather slow pace due to the upward climb. It is the second most exhausting part of the trip so be prepared. From 2 to 2.5 miles, it is a nicer easy trail. Shortly before getting to Governors rock, it is the worst part of the trail in my opinion. Most grueling anyway. The anticipation of the view helps push you through that area as you make your way up.
I saw several mentions of people stating they used a rope to make their way up. I did not see any ropes or anything, but they weren't really needed. Expect to get a good solid workout in and come prepared, and you will have a good time....Wear Nike soccer sandals and show up with no water like some we saw, and you wont enjoy yourself.
Kara Merritt
We had a blast fishing and sight seeing!

2017 Eclipse Camping trip! The nature center at Table Rock at the lake was the perfect place to be. They have events, activities. Family friendly. Night time starry sky is beautiful. The camp sites are clean - even the bathrooms and showers were new and clean, camp stores had ample supplies, firewood and ice. Beautiful place to stay for a few days. Top tier campsites!
Stokes Music Studios
The trails here are breathtaking. Just driving here is an experience. This is one of the finest State Parks South Carolina has to offer. Get an annual pass to all our scenic SC parks! We did! The Music Place 🥁🎸🎹🎵 …
kathy wood
Easy to difficult hikes, nice visitor center at pond on other side of road from park entrance.
Mike Irvin
Best hike I’ve ever done. Do the table rock trail and go all the way to the very end. View over the lake is unreal! Tough hike but worth it.
Lauren Martin
Absolutely beautiful and cheap get away!!! This is a great place to hike! But make sure you take the right trail for your level of experience! The hikes are extensive and tiring. Take a lot of water and snacks! Customer service is also great.
Andrew Bohman
The park is great as long as you know which entrance to pull into. We pulled in the wrong entrance with a 29 ft camper and had to back out into the street since the road is to small and windy to make it through. The sites are small ours was supposed to fit up to 25 ft with a pull through. Our camper is slightly larger but it was not close to making the turn. We ended up backing in. We had friends camping in sites sized properly and most had little to no usable camp space once they fit the camper in. Either the camp space was on the back end of the camper or hanging off the back side.
Bunny “Bunny” Dannels
If clean air, stunningly beautiful views, and loads of family friendly fun activities are what you want, here it is! It's a state park, so it is very budget friendly. Stay in a cabin or camp site, or come for the day to hike, swim or kayak.
Every time I come here, it's as if I leave my stress at the gate.
Abigail Hastings
Climbed to the peak, "pinnacle point" which is also the tallest peak in SC. You can see for miles. It is breathtaking. It was quite a grueling hike though! Definitely leave in the AM so you have time to come back down and stay at the top to enjoy the views
AJ Russo
Our family has been coming here for the past 10 years, and every year they ask to come back. I thought when they got older they would get bored of a cabin in the woods, mountain steams and waterfalls, but they are not. The free wifi and shopping in Brevard helps. The cabins are always clean and well equipped. All in all a great value for the money.
Carolyn Hudson
Great place to relax and enjoy the trails, water falls, the gift shop and swimming area.
Karen Wingo
Friendly, helpful staff, cabin was clean and cozy. The AC was great. We had a fun time and will definitely be back. Only, issue was the people next door kept using our drive as a turnaround. They had too many cars and kept having to rearrange them. That wasn't the parks falt.
Russell Brinson
Table Rock is the best state park out of all of them. It's ran great and very professionally. Staff is super nice. Tent sites, campers, cabins, lodges, nature center, swim area, fishing, canyoning...etc. I have been often. THE BEST PART IS THE BREATH TAKE VIEW. It's a hard hike, but once you make it to the top is is amazing. You can see forever. It's a must see location.
Dmitri Nassyrov
This is mostly a review of the campground, as we have not really used the trails, activities and other great things the park has to offer.
We camped in the White Oaks campground for two nights with our tent. The site was clean and well kept. Same goes for the bathroom and showers. The only negative was that the sites are really close to each other. Other than that, it was a good camping experience.
Nathan DePue
Great park with something for everyone. They have a really nice campground, cabins, a nice lake with boat rentals and swimming all at the park. They also have several trails you can take from easy to difficult. If you can make it to the top of table rock it's worth it, amazing view! Very affordable admission.
Christopher Altman
Awesome place. I believe the sign says 3.4 miles. From the office using my Apple Watch we made it in 4.4 miles at 2.5 hrs. It says strenuous hike and well it is. Straight up and mostly rock stairs. Worth the hike small pool a little ways past the office to dip in with a waterfall. About 4’ Deep on normal days.
michael banister
Love to Kayak and Hike the trails ,Beautiful Scenery.
Rehab Events
This is the best of the best. We have hiked it a bunch of times, 30 or so and it never gets old! We went to Chimney Rock the day before this year and there is no comparison to between the two! The trail is somewhat hard, just wear good shoes and a bunch of water and you will be good to go!
I L
I enjoyed the most peaceful hike with my best friend! I will most definitely be visiting again!
Chris Perdue (Chris Perdue Music)
This place was absolutely beautiful. I had a friend take me by this place. Extremely clean park, and the view was awesome
Melissa Rice
Table Rock State Park is the best place to fish and have fun with the family. The employees who work there are very polite and friendly. They need to add some lights down on the pier so people can see how to fish at night.
Sandra Camacho
A place to stop and take a moment to appreciate nature.
Peace Haven Pointe
This is a great place to camp, getaway that is unforgettable, great place to relax and enjoy the Foothills. Was up there last week and saw they are upgrading the sights, they are looking good, with new timbers around some sites, and leveling them. Thanh You Table Rock for this.
Jim Longo
Beautiful place to visit, especially in the fall!
Jennifer Dunn
Great park, lots of trails and cabins to stay in. The cabins advertise having Wi-Fi, but don't count on it. We were able to get one or two texts to go through every day...that was it. No phone calls at all. They need to add an outdoor landline in my opinion, for emergency use. I can't imagine what you'd have to do to get help with no phone service for miles. The power went out on our last day there and we never got it back. There's no one to call, so we just had to fumble around in the dark to pack our things to check out. So, an outdoor landline plus a 24-hour emergency phone number to call would be my two recommendations for the park cabins. Other than that, we had a really nice time.
Kenta Stokes
Great State Park, excellent trails with camping spots. Each camp spot comes equipped with fire ring, picnic tables, water, and power. RV spots and tent spots.
Craig McBride
Beautiful park, nice hiking trails with wonderful views. Clean facilities, friendly staff, and price is right.
Paul0580
Beautiful place. The campground is well shaded and relatively close to the swim area in the lake. Can't vouch for the fishing. Maybe next time!
George Jones
Their store and staff are top notch. Sites have power and water, no septic. There are a few sites that can comfortably accommodate RVs 30' and up. Some cell dead spots in the campground but the store has WiFi.
tusita sweet
Beautiful and quite place!
Karen Killian
Such a fantastic view. Breath taking. Will go back for sure
Jennifer Williams
It was a very great and beautiful experience. I learned a lot about that place as well as many other state parks my husband and I plan to visit in the future. Every moment with Travis Williams my amazing ❤️ husband is an experience I treasure ❤️ I look forward to many more happy moments with him on our journey together through this life! I love us. My best friend husband and soulmate. He's my rider and I'm always going to be by his side.til the day I die.
Bodine
We stayed in one of their cabins. It was like living in a new house! It was fantastic. The service & staff were good at the outposts. The GPS instructions weren't good & finding the cabins was overly difficult. The park is clean & beautiful.
Preston Rachel
Nice hike and great staff here
Mochap 70
We hiked this park yesterday and it is absolutely a goregous park. We hiked up the more strenuous trail the table rock. The rocks were amazing. There were so many huge rocks up there. The view was exquisite. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is because there are soooo many leaves that kind of covered up the path. Other than that, it was a GEM💚💜🌞😊😊😊
Jim Cutler
Great time with lots of nature to explore!
William
The quintessential state park complete with stunning trails, original CCC buildings, and great programming. The Table Rock Trail is a must-hike, but watch out for snakes in the warmer months. The trail itself is in good shape with only minor erosion in places. Portions of it are very steep but do have steps cut into the rock. The view at the top is magnificent and there are places to see every angle from the top of Table Rock. Look out for their seasonal moonlit guided hikes for a truly unique night-hiking experience.
Debbie Elliott
A BEAUTIFUL SP! We stayed in a cabin the last week of August 2020 - 5 nights. Disappointed in the cabin......it needs a good cleaning and pressure washing outside.....dust, mildew, dirty floors. We did speak with a Ranger regarding this. As awesome as this SP is, I KNOW they'll step up the cleaning process for future visitors. Would we go back? YES. The staff is WONDERFUL and VERY friendly. Disappointed in the Mask Mandate but was able to maneuver around this.
Eldrik Deshire
One of the best state parks I've ever camped in. Primitive camp sites are great and they have showers and other facilities as well. The vistas are superb. One of my favorite vacation spots.
Suresh Muthukrishnan
Table rock state park is one of the most beautiful parks in the state. It offers all kinds of recreational opportunities for all ages. There is a lake with beach to swim, amazing array of campsites and cabins, and a stunning view from the top. The Carrick Creek loop trail is great for all ages but the hike to the top of table rock (and back) is a bit strenuous and can take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours depending on fitness level and experience. There is no water or restroom access so one has to carry plenty of water and snacks. Stay on the trail. Snakes are plenty and pay attention while walking on or off the trail.
Robert C
What a beautiful Serene place that God has given us! 😊 …
Vamsi Krishna
Spent time around lake trials. If you want to goto top of the table rock its around 3.5mile trial. Cars cannot go. We have to talk. Get ready for that. If you want to do less than 2mile walk there are other trials in park. Good to stay over night as well as there are cabins available
Galina Difort
Beautiful park with many features and things to do. Stayed in a cabin there. Hiked the strenuous Table Rock trail.
Pam S
Table Rock State Park is lovely, with good hiking trails and beautiful scenery.
We stayed in the main campground closer to the West Gate entrance. The Campground is really nice, with big shady spaces, bathhouses, and water and electrical hookups for our Casita. We tend to use the bathhouse showers, since we usually find them clean and fairly well maintained. However, that was not the case at Table Rock. The toilet side of the bathhouses was clean, but the showers were disgusting. The moldy walls and slimy floors needed scrubbing with buckets of bleach and finished off with a power washer! I felt bad for the tent campers who had no other place to shower.
L Guthrie
A beautiful park with great views and photography opportunities. Public spaces are kept clean and the park rangers are very nice and helpful. Plenty of wildlife to see and the trails are awesome.
Marcus Hans
Very nice hike with my employee
Charles Serdoner
Beautiful place for family fun. So many things to do!
Rick Sinclair
I went up there with some biker friends of mine (26) and just to ride through the park ( thinking it was a good idea to get our riders out and see the park views and camping sites as well as the lake and other amenities there it would inspire more visits' in the future with maybe their families) and they hit us with a $5 dollar per person fee. To make a long story short, we all felt like we were being robbed by our state. What is the fee for? and doesn't the taxes we pay support the parks? Fishy I think. In short we just politely turned around and left and went to Sassafras Mt. I will never go there again.
A W
Beautiful area and hike...all the way to the highest point past Governor Rock lookout. Make sure you have plenty of cold water for both the hike up and back! Also make sure you wear comfortable hiking shoes with good traction for some slippery, wet areas. Annoying humming flies on way up, had to keep swatting away. Consider netted hat for next time. Saw 3 black bears on way down! They looked very surprised to see us and then hurried away.
Mary Beth Roberts
Folks at the visitors center were less than welcoming. Ignored us the whole time even though we were the only people in the place. When we asked if there was a map we could take with us, because we were scouting out places to come to in the future... We were told that the map was for sale, but we could have a xeroxed map with the important info on it. The map was so small and so over copied, it was useless to find anything. WARNING: this state park charges for admission for what I can only assume is for visitors not staying in the park.
Rich Forster
Cool 18° but sunny and beautiful.
vittorio vuocolo
Very nice park .we only stayed a few hours after we went to Hendersonville to get apples.we checked out the campground .sites look a little small but nice.we will come back next year with the motorhome.my wife used the restrooms and she said they were nice.we fished the small lakes but it wasn't a good day for fishing.
Michael Ramsay
Love Table Rock.
Consider the inland Park Pass, $75 dollars year long park pass for all but 6 SC State Parks. Usually it is $5 per head (over 5), but this pass covers up to 6 per car, and will certainly make your money back if you avail yourself of all SC County Parks have to offer.
Not too far from Jones Gap (35 min by car), which fills up quickly in Greenville County, and very beautiful. Great day hiking, and the lake is beautiful with plenty of nonmotorized water activities available.
Steve Mickley
My wife and I were "exploring" when we had the good fortune to happen into this NC State Park. Visited with two incredibly helpful young ladies in the visitors center, took an enjoyable hike around the lake (their suggestion). We will be back...
israel bryson
Great nature trails. Hike to the summit and experience the climb and view what God has.
Norma
Went in entry for State Park but never found the road to go to top of mountain. Will try another time. Fall colors hadn't changed weekend ago.
Bill Chick
Easy hike to some small falls and swimming holes or you can take on the the 7 and 8 mile hikes to Table Rock or Pinnacle Mountain trails for some spectacular views. There are many other great hikes as well.
Melinda Franklin
Had a great time with my family. It's absolutely stunning! The hike gave us a little workout but it was perfect! Highly recommend for an outing to get away!
Bill Yancy
i hiked to the top of Table Rock Mountain. What a leg burner!!! It is well worth the effort. from start to finish. Waterfalls, boulders, scenic overlooks, and of course the view at the top. There is also many of other trails to explore. I'm ready to go back again soon!
Debbie Chappell
We live close, but still like to camp here. We had a great site, #36, and you can’t beat the scenery! The only things not up to par were the Camp Store and the laundry facility. For two days, so far, there has been a sign on the entrance of the store “No retail sales due to computer problems.” Lots of lost revenue there. Also, the laundry facility was just nasty with trash overflowing the trash can and in need of a good sweeping or hosing out. Also, one of the washer has been out of order for three days, so far. However, these were just small aggravations in an otherwise great week!
TennSouth Photography
There is so much to do here the map at trail head is terrible so hope this helps;
The first falls from the checkin station is just around the corner to the right few hundred ft.
It’s a very easy walk several small falls until the 1st bridge then it start to climb moderately. After the bridge keep right 2 larger falls a short distance up the trail(photo is one of them)
Heather Connell
My family and I had a great time enjoying the weekend at this lovely park. Friendly and helpful rangers, nice amenities, the reason it only got 4 starts is that I wish the tent camping sites were spaced a little farther apart.
Sue Brown, Realtor
Stunning views!
Laurel Ebert
I wish I could give it a bad review to keep the crowds away. Too bad it is so nice! Table Rock trail is very challenging, but the lower Carrick trail is good for the less athletic. There is a lake to swim and kayak in, and a lake trail that isn't strenuous.
FM VM
Excellent park. Awesome view. It has everything you need. Hiking, enjoying the river , the lake, to grill, and refresh your eyes and mind with the view of the mountains. Love it
Jon Fader
Don't know if all SC state parks are this nice, but this one sets the bar pretty high. Even the gift shop was exceptional by my experience - so many clever, beautiful t-shirts and souvenirs to choose from!
Eric Roberts
Park ranger is super helpful, cabins are authentic, and the park is beautiful
Sharon Wirnsberger
What a quick & affordable get away! Entertainment all around, beautiful landscapes, waterfalls to cool off in. Paddle boats, fishing, swimming on the beach lakeside, sno cones at the gift shop. Camp sites have electricity and water. Bathhouse we used was clean. Only downside was bathrooms under construction or closing way to early (6p)
Ed Butler
Great Park and great Camps Sites
Ralph Elsey
Great views and great hiking trails. Cabins are very nice. Staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. We'll be back.
Marlessa Southern
The park is beautiful, and the hiking is great! The hike to the top of Table Rock is a must. Plan a good portion of your day, as it's a several mile hike up and down, but it's spectacular!
Owen Phillips
Table Rock State Park is absolutely beautiful. The longer hikes are very steep, but the views are well worth it. Make sure you have plenty of water and snacks, it pays to be prepared.
Linda Hines
Lovely area, trees were beautiful fall colors. Just a nice place to be outside and enjoy nature
Steve Alexander
Nice hiking trails for all skill levels. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Jennifer Collins
Table Rock is one of our favorite SC state parks. We tent camped the first night and had a beautiful cabin the next night. Amazing views & hiking!
Keelan Cook
Excellent hike to the top. Great vistas when you get there. Plan on it taking several hours to get to the top. It claims to be a moderate hike, but it is on the upper end of moderate. Take some water, and in most months, a light jacket for the top. It's windy up there.
Steve Wasser
Great place to stop to get a good look and pictures of table rock mountain. Pretty lake and nice big building to look around inside. There are restrooms and snacks available. You can also buy souveniers. It is a must stop and see place because it is so beautiful.
Deas Nealy
If you hike to the top of Table Rock, make sure to go on past the summit to the end until you see the Greenville Reservoir. It's worth it.
Kathleen Johnson
Clean, family park, great cabins, waterfalls, and hiking. Met a very nice Ranger when we accidently locked ourselves out of our cabin. "Quick response"
Bill Pace
A very good southern style cooking restaurant. Not the best but very good!
Don't let that statement disappoint you- it is worth going to, and the best for miles around.
It is not a city specific Paula Dean type place, but is a great backroads cafe with affordable prices, huge portions, and mighty tasty southern comfort food.
They will tell you ya'll come back, I say ya'll go!!
Jodi Devores
Have only done day trips here from Greenville, but it is beautiful! The lake has a swimming area with life guards and there are cabins available to rent. Breath taking views.
douglas duell
Best we've found but only a handful of nice
tent sites. Wood too $ and all oak. No
Card chip reader in store...cpl of showers
need work. Ranger supervision seems

Beautiful. Great hiking trails. Good parking. Feels safe. Dogs allowed on a leash. Clean restrooms.

This arduous hike is rewarded with a far reaching view of the beautiful South Carolina Upstate landscape. The top of the Rock is bare and is a great place for a photo, a yoga session, a picnic, and meditation. There is a manned toll booth that accepts the entry fee, $5.

I have owned a timeshare ar Table Rock Resort since 1986. The staff is terrific. The cleanest facilities you will ever check into. This is the MOST relaxung week of my year. I so look forward to being there every year & I have never been disappointed.

Cerrick creak trail follows waterfalls the whole way on both sides of the loop and there is an amazing swimming hole right at the trail head. Great beach and paddle boat rentals

The best place to spend the summer with kids. They got kayaking and paddle boats which is fun.The table Rock view from the middle of the river was majestic.i recommend going alone on a kayak with Music on.I call it peace 😁.
The smallest trail walk was also tiring and long enough for me.😋 …

The trails are clean and well-kept. Tough hiking at times, but the views are way worth it. Try getting up there for sunrise--you won't regret it~!
