It was alright, but I wouldn’t visit again. I personally didn’t have a good time there, but tried to have a good time for the sake of company who seemed to enjoy it. The atmosphere didn’t feel too good to me. The energy felt off and too rushed to me. I’ve been to other bowling locations and I would skip this one if I had to go again in the future.

I'm in a Friday evening league and love the place. Most of the staff are super friendly. The guy at the front bar is really into bowling so it was cool to talk to him. Like any company some don't like their jobs but most are great. The lanes are nice. Music is good. Fun place

Bowling is back and they have a deal on kids bowling for free during the summer. Go to they webpage for details. It saved me money. We had the bowling alley to ourselves! Very clean and great air conditioning! Only small thing is on lane #11 the chair was dangerously loose and is in bad need of fixing. I reported it to the lady behind the glass at the register and she said no one told them but she thanked me and said they would fix right away.

Waveland Bowl is a great place. Lanes are well maintained. As with all bowling alleys every once in a while balls get stuck it there is a problem with the pin setter but when that happens Waveland is always prompt providing assistance. There is adequate free parking on site. The place is kept clean and the staff is friendly.

They have two bars a small arcade and pool too Henny shots 7.50$ they small but they music was dope everybody was nice they have hot dogs pizza and cheese tots and etc go here you will love it very clean and nice I'm glad for I chose.. to be my first time bowling this place I love it. Me and my friends have lots of fun every time we go there. They put my fav songs and turn the light off which is reflective on white clothes I think. But if they have family competition or company thing going on, we dont expect them to turn the light off. Anyway, their hotdog, burgers are sooo good and people who work there are really nice. Always more than happy to be back!

It's a bowling alley, has a bar, food and lanes. If you're a bowler, it's similar to Bowlero, they actually oiled the lanes for open bowl which was awesome. Small out of bounds you might leave a lot of wrapped 10s, but it's a nice city alley

WONDERFUL. the pins turn around fast, the lanes are well oiled, decent tunes and light show, the technology was easy to use touch screens to get started. i hear it’s really cheap to bowl before 4 pm too. absolutely coming back

Really inexpensive place to go bowl, I really like how they have the score system set up. You can take selfies and keep track of everything in an app. Drinks and food are more expensive, but there are ample Lanes all the time, and the staff is really friendly.

The person I spoke with on the phone was very rude and got angry with me for asking simple questions about the 21 and up policy which is unclear since it says 21+ after 10pm on their website, but once you go to book a lane it says that it is 21+ after 8:00. Once we arrived at the bowling alley the experience was good. The rental shoes are very worn down and the balls are greasy and beat up but overall the bowling experience was good.

A very fun place to hang out with friends when you can all get together. I'm no good at bowling which makes me want to come back to get better. They have bowling, arcade games, pool table, a bar, everything you need. There is a big parking lot with security cameras.

Went on a Saturday night at 9PM. Staff was great and it keeps up a great atmosphere. Awesome for playing pool too (they have 5 tables) although the price at $20 an hour is a bit steep. Regardless, had a great time there. It wasn't too rowdy but was still fun for adults and kids. I'll definitely come back to bowl as well. If you're doing a date night or a party, would recommend Waveland over other options in the area!

It has a parking lot and they even have an entrance in the back so if the front part is filled you won't have to walk all the way around! The bathroom was clean which is a plus. We had lane 37 which at times give us a few problems with constantly having to hit the reset button. The shoe guy was cool. The bar area wasn't crowded when we went to get drinks. It's a mixed crowd with all ages.

Very nice bowling alley. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the daytime bowling rates are phenomenal. The connectedness of their score system was also quite awesome, getting an email with your scores at the end is a nice bonus.

Cheap and fun! The facilities has a great retro vibe to it like your stepping back right into the 80’s in a charming way. You can bowl for 2$ a game and it’s only 4$ to rent shoes. If you’re a college student it is the perfect place to hangout.

Good music and atmosphere. But if you plan on coming Friday and Saturday after 4pm your going to pay top dollar to bowl. They're charging a ridiculous $1 per minute!! Other than that they play good music and also have a arcade section and pool tables.

The sixty dollar a hour rate for a land on a Friday or Saturday night for a family might be a little difficult but otherwise a great time and lots of fun. Good drinks, amazing bartenders and cosmic night can be a great time.

I hadn’t been at this place since I was a kid! The memory I hold of this place was heartwarming and special. And after 15 years, they didn’t disappoint. ALISA and AV went above and beyond in accommodating a special situation. Without details, just knowing this business can maintain discretion and respect to members of the disability community is more than enough to continue coming back. We went in for about an hour to play billiards late last night. It was a lot of fun, and we had a great time, until an employee decided to walk by and cough directly on us loudly, muttering something about "its 2022 damn it, stop with the masks already". I'm sure he was just some dumb teen acting tough at his job, but still. Have a little decency for those who may be immunocompromised, or may have others like that to protect. The venue itself though is pretty nice, and we may go bowling here sometime.

Waveland Bowl can be hit or miss in terms of the ambiance the crowd provides. Go on a Saturday or Sunday morning when they first open, and it's a wonderfully quiet ally with bowlers that just want to enjoy knocking down some pins. Go on a Friday or Saturday night, and it takes shouting to hold a conversation. To each their own. The staff has always been friendly and the lanes have always been well oiled; the free balls though, are definitely showing their age.

Great prices earlier in the day and lots of Lanes but very oily Lanes. Way too oily. No break and ball comes back greasy. It would be nice if some of the lanes were oiled to allow more reaction and hook. Food is solid and solid price.

This place has BALLS!!! I am a little bit biased having bowled here off and on for 40 years but everything was clean well organized safe and fun today. Very well suited to a church outing! It could just as easily have turned into an adult's only extravaganza as well. ;) It is a bowling alley after all...

Great place! The staff is awesome! The young lady that took my reservation was nice and patience with me because I had to call back several times trying to decide what the group wanted to do. The security guards was cool they wasn't like those power tripping ones they was very personal but don't get me wrong you can tell they abt their business if need be(great guys). The staff that kept the place clean while we were there was polite when the cleaned up around us. I even tried to help clean some of the our stuff up as we played the staff said no I got it just go and have fun(great guy).The food was good and the staff that waited on us was nice. The drinks were good, reasonable priced and nice bartender. OVERALL great place, lots to do.. bowling etc. Lots of fun and GREAT staff. Will for sure come back again!

I have been bowling here on their youth/young adult league for the last few years. It has been great! Only complaint is that the coaches that were there when I started a few years ago seem to not be there anymore. They were awesome coaches and I miss them. I am also sad that Lee left but he did come back to visit recently. It was a state of the art bowling alley in 1959 with automatic pin setters and at least 30 lanes and is still popping today with Covid and everything!

First time bowling in quite some time. It was great to be back and hanging out with friends and going for a bowl. The ambiance of the arena is great. Good music and food. The only thing that was a little concerning was that a lot of people were not wearing masks and it was not very enforced by the establishment.

My friends and I had to wait until after 10:30pm to get a lane. On top of it all we had 1 hour & 10 minutes to bowl until close. It closes at 12 midnight on Thursday night. We ended up playing 2 games. I normally don't come to Waveland bowl on Thursdays. I'm usually getting off work at 10:30pm.

Bowling was fun and bumpers are available. You can assign bumpers to specific bowlers so they raise for each turn. There is a food court, billiards and an arcade but at least 3 games in the arcade were not working. The arcade requires pre-purchased credits on a card and non-working machines still take credits. After reporting the issue, machines were marked but no refund was given. They are 2 bars but they were not open when I was there in a Friday afternoon.

I've been coming here since high school for bowling leagues and have never had a problem. It has always been great to come here with family and friends to play a couple of rounds of a game. Their prices are probably the best in the area. The lanes are clean and the equipment is completely up to date. You can still get the best cheese fries from the indoor restaurant and get a drink or two from the bar. The kiddos can even play a game or two in their arcade, if they aren't into bowling but they should give bowling a chance! The people at the front desk are just the friendliest people around. And the atmosphere & music is great for gatherings with friends.

Lanes, balls, shoes and experience was great for the most part. They had plenty of hand sanitizer and spray. We wanted to order alcohol and they told us the bar would be open at 4 p.m. (within 20 minutes)... It never opened the whole time we were there (we were there for two very slow games).

First time visiting this bowling alley and first time trying bowling and I was impressed. Everything was nice and clean and fun atmosphere. Waiting time is long about 1 1/2 hour which I wasn't surprised and didn't mind they have a section for adults and place to order food for the family.

CALL BEFORE going in or MAKE RESERVATIONS ON the WEEKEND. We were denied entry due to max capacity reached this past Saturday night. Went on a Saturday Night 8 p.m and was stopped in parking lot by officers then asked if we made reservations. Uh,no....We were told it was full to capacity with a wait list. We re routed to a diff bowling alley after a few phone calls. Turned out to be the same distance and much better.

I was so impressed with this bowling alley. The employees were amazing and helpful at the front desk and in the cafe. The young man running the cafe we're so helpful and accommodating. I was there with three little kids who are very picky and they were a huge help. The alley is clean, the bathrooms are clean, and the price is so right!

Fun time with family, good music and vibrant atmosphere! Pretty expensive for my taste however if you go in a group and split the cost then I can see where it would be much more enjoyable! The food is gross! And also expensive, the drinks are watered down and pricey as well. The experience was good all in all. The negative thing I would say is the price other then that I recommend trying them out splitting the cost and eat elsewhere!

Really cheap and fun. I went on a Tuesday, it was $4 to rent the shoes, $4 per game per person. I played 2 games with a party of 5, it cost us $60 flat ($12 per person), no tax. They have an arcade and billiards room. Overall really fun and there are lots of food spots in the area in case you want to eat out afterwards.

Feeling nostalgic is the best way I describe my experience at Waveland bowl. I've been coming here since I was a kid and now it's my daughter's turn to enjoy this pass time. The place hasn't changed much over the years, but has been kept up very well with new score keeping displays and computers. I can remember playing here as a kid and just dropping gutter balls all the time, but that was because I didn't want to use their bumpers for the lane. Yes, at 10 I was a very proud child. Now I'm passing this along. They are still having leagues here, which we have joined and they also have a kids league starting in October. Social distancing is a very much practiced and they are hard on the rules so as to keep everyone safe while they have a great time. I cant say enough about the place. I've always enjoyed it and I hope you will to.

We wanted to take the kids bowling for the first time and this is basically in the hood. We went on a Sunday morning. Walking in takes me back, about several decades. Maybe it was the cosmic bowling carpet or the decades worth of stale smoke that filled the air. It was clean and I read a nice little flyer about them having one of the best cheap burgers in the city. Sadly, I didn't get to try it. They didn't have the ramps for the kids to use, but they did have bumpers. We prepaid for two games, but my little one started to lose her mind halfway through the first game so I went to ask for a refund on the second game. You could tell that they weren't going to jump at the chance to refund us until said crazy kid started screaming right on cue and then they were absolutely okay with refunding us the rest so we could get the heck out of dodge. Prices were fair, parking is good, it's really what I would expect from a typical bowling alley.

First time: I came by and all lanes were closed due to a league playing, so I had to change my plans. Also, most of The bowling alleys I've been to looked more modern. The bartender was nice and helpful. Second time: I came with a group of Coworkers. We had Pizza and pop. We bowled & had fun. It was nice, not bad if you want a cheap option for bowling & pizza.

A classic fun spot. A fine bowling alley with friendly staff, quick food, a bar, a pool table, and air hockey. They have plenty of balls in all the expected sizes that are in good shape. The lanes are oiled well. Everything is clean and maintained, including the bathrooms. If you bring kids, the bumpers automatically raise and lower on a per-player basis, so adults and kids can play together. I have been here for a kid's birthday party, and the place accommodated the event very well! Everyone had fun. Check the website for Cosmic Bowl hours (music, music videos, black lights, and fog machines)! It's been busy every time I visited, but I've never had to wait long. The prices are on the low to average end for Chicago.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. The lanes where decent and it was packed on a Friday night with leagues and regular patrons.Had to wait about 45 for a lane, however my family of six had fun for two games. Not bad since it was crowed. Visited the food area, wish it was better. The pizza was um, not good. My younger family liked it. Also they turned off the lights and turned on the black lights with music videos on the background. That was cool. Overall I would visit again maybe eat prior and order lanes ahead of time.

This place is amazing. Been going here for years. There is no better place to have fun with your friends when its cold outside. Never had a bad experience. It's always clean (bathrooms are spotless) the music is great, amazing decorations, lot's of lanes, awesome arcade selection, pool tables, food is good, staff is friendly. Sam was fun and very polite tonight, even though it was closing time (I would be cranky, haha). Overall it's always a great atmosphere!

Super cool retro bowling alley! We came for an afternoon cosmic bowl party and had a great time. Good music, affordable, nice big parking lot. They have billiards and a little arcade too, as well as food options. Will definitely stop by again.

Clean. Mostly happily helpful at all points of interaction. Smallest shoe size is 6 toddler but said their lightest ball was 8lbs. That doesn't make too much sense... Otherwise great experience.

I worked here when I lived in Chicago. Wasn't a bad place to work. Owner (Gary) is a very nice man and the staff were nice. Gets busy at night especially on the weekends but if you're willing to wait it out a few minutes by shooting billiards or grabbing something to eat it'll be well worth it. Main thing I miss... Pizza burgers ;)

We went as a big group, no reservation on a Saturday night but there were lines open so we didn't have to wait long. Good prices $10/person $6/second game, shoes included. The staff were really nice, we paid for 2 friends who cancelled on us right after we had paid the gentleman, so we quickly went back to see if he would return our money, and he did it without a issue. Definetely will be back.

Great spot for people if all ages! Good old fashion fun and happy atmosphere. There is a small arcade for those who need a break from bowling and cafe onsite that sells really good pizza. The staff are pleasant and diverse. Best of all parking is free and there is a lot of it!

I truly do enjoy this place. The prices are reasonable and it's cleaner than most bowling alleys. I like that they stay open late and have a big parking lot. The lanes seem to be working properly each time I come and if there is ever a problem, it is resolved quickly. I will continue to bowl here.

It has the same nostalgic feeling if you were there 15 years ago but with more upgrades to its equipment and game room. Prices vary depending on what time/day and when so I recommend you call and ask before you go. They do serve alcohol.

Nice bowling lanes, food service but use cash.....try not to swipe your card. Had a bad experience after leaving.....seemed like they cloned my card because someone in NY purchased $74.00 of Red Lobster......just be careful is all I'm saying.......carry cash. I hadn't swiped my card in 2 days and then I swiped it there......by Monday I got an alert to my phone about the purchase. No I didn't swipe it no more after that.....that was a Saturday....Sunday I was in the house all day.

The staff is friendly. There are two bars and a large food selection. I recommend the fried cheese curds. The late night lighting effects with music videos playing on screens was great for an adult birthday party. The lanes are modern and equipment up to date. The night we went, the pride league was there. So, it's lgbtq friendly.

Girls Games outing with the female relatives. Great competition. HAHA Waveland Bowl has always been a favorite location for me to play bowler. I'm not skilled so I go strictly for the fun. And that's okay. The atmosphere rocks. The staff is friendly. Prices are reasonable. And surprisingly the food isn't bad. So if you need to get out of the house or to release some aggression, this is the place. Have some fun knocking down pins. Just don't take a lane next to the pros.

I love Waveland. Some may complain about the lanes but they are new and they don't bother me. $1 a game from open til noon. $2 a game from noon til 5ish. Can't beat that. Evening is standard prices and usually $4 shoe rentals all day I believe. Buy your own shoes and they pay for themselves in like 10 visits.

Had my daughters birthday day party here. It was ok, VERY expensive for 2 hours only, so felt a lil rushed , and price DID NOT include food 🙄 If some of your guests don't show up (which happens) There is no🙊😲 reimbursement, and party HAS to be paid in full. My daughter had her 6th birthday party here and it was a great experience. Waveland took care of the food and the games. All we had to do was enjoy the experience. Staff was readily available and very helpful. They have a dedicated person there to help plan parties and she answered all of my questions. Everyone there was patient and kind to our group of Kindergarteners. We were able to put up the bumpers, get everyone in shoes, and enjoy the music as we played. A perfect party that is reasonably priced, low stress for parents, and a guaranteed good time for all.

Lots of lanes, which are decently well maintained, although it did chip my new bowling ball. Not sure if that was a freak occurrence or not. Staff is friendly. Cheap bowling before noon every day (1-2 dollars per game). Modern touch screen interface for player entry and you can customize the theme for the scoring screens.

They really upgraded this place from the a few yrs ago I've been. They have more lanes up to 35. I called on a Saturday night to see . How long was the wait. It was no waiting. Then we get in there. They have 3 billards, great updated music,touch screen score board video, artwork by the bowling pin wall.food area. I was not able to explore more. But it's great.

My family comes to Waveland bowl from the Southside of Chicago and we really like this bowling alley, the prices, and the staff is pleasant. I have one major complaint. You should warn your customers ahead of time when your going to close your doors in the morning for private events. Due to people coming from all over the city to bowl. You should create a system via email for those who are willing to leave an email address; to be notified ahead of time when you are going to be closed for a private event 😡

I love Waveland! This place is super accommodating for people with in with physical disabilities and allow us to bring in our own lunches. Unlike other locations where it's been a a no despite people having dietary, allergy and religious restrictions. Alley Dog's food is pretty good for being a bowling alley and all prices are tax included. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable and do include $1 games ( call in advance) . Hours as of now are 8am- 3am no longer 24 hrs. In response to Waveland, we have been attending for a long period of time and have been bring in our own food! For example we have a liquid only diet and he needs special formula, a kosher based and only eats foods that have been blessed and made in seperate sinks, tables, etc. Low income & dietary is also a major issue we have people who can not afford to buy outside food and due to allergies and other health concerns it's a safety issue and best they do not eat food that is not prepared by families.
