Great family outing. I purchased tickets for me, my husband, our sons and their wives for the climbing adventure. It was a blast! We all had fun and enjoyed the variety of challenges. Our age range is 28-58. My husband and I could do everything on the course and even conquered the most difficult tower. The Forge has good safety protocols. The climbing course is well organized and there are several different routes you can take to the top depending on your level.
I would recommend wearing a bandana under the helmet to absorb the sweat, because you'll get a workout! We will definitely be back to take enjoy the other activities the Forge has available.

I've visited The Forge in the autumn, and just this past Friday in the middle of winter for a prix-fixe dinner in a heated globe- and had a blast both times! Beautifully well-maintained outdoor space, which is free to walk around anytime. Free parking, too. You just pay to climb, or for food/drink. We enjoyed a wonderful 90-minute 3-course meal, in our cozy heated globe. I especially loved the candles, lights, centerpiece. It felt very special! I was able to get a vegetarian meal, and both kids (food allergies) were able to enjoy meals that were peanut and tree-nut free- just needed to call ahead for that and for a vegetarian meal. Booked on-line. Highly recommend this experience.

This was an amazing experience!! I had a ton of fun, challenging tests of agility and endurance. What also made it a really good time was the staff. I want to shout out to Sydney for going above and beyond - made my weekend! Rock climbing wall was the highlight of my time. Will definitely be going back!

Amazing place we had a great time it was so fun, the staff were incredible always there giving tips and helping and always smiling.
We did the climbing zip line and it was awesome, the zip line is amazing.
We will do it again soon for sure.

Nice experience but one and done is the theme here. Once you do this, there really is no need to go back. We had fun, got some bruises, but enjoyed our time. Many things were shut down due to low staff as they returned to college but they still charge full price when we were not even able to do many of their elements. Also their drinks and food are insanely priced and they don’t allow for outside food or drink. Now you know why. A small can of coke was $3.30 to out into perspective. I would recommend this adventure although at least once.

It's a brialliant place. Lots to do. It's well organized, safe and the staff are very friendly. The whole family has had lots of fun. Climbing, zipping, shooting (archery), tagging (laser, mac ball water tag!!) .. etc.. definatly worth while. The kids love the summer day camp. They came home dirty and exhausted.. but loved every minute!!

The Forge was an amazing experience. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Granted I was only there for the open swim. The quarry was awesome to swim in. Very clean. We would definitely come back to enjoy the entertainment

I had an amazing experience today! The check-in, training, and climbing staff were all positive, helpful, and happy!!! I was disappointed that 3 sets of towers and the extended climbing tower were closed due to low staff 😞 otherwise 5 stars from me. I'll be back for sure!!!! …

Laser tag was sooooo fun! Matt & the crew were great!
They made our long awaited game night AMAZING....
THANK YOU for taking the time to make our birthday celebration memorable!!
You all ROCK!

While the attraction itself was great, we were told to “climb as much as you want” only to be met with closed gates and unopened attractions because of “staffing issues”. While I understand it’s a safety concern, date night is semi limited on time and we were not happy to spend so much time waiting for towers to open. Signs throughout the park with a little more direction would have been nice.
Otherwise the experience was great and the staff they did have was friendly. I think if they have staffing issues they need to limit the amount of tickets they sell but then have every tower open. Out of 8 towers, only 3 were open. 3!!! There were lines to get into each tower before you can even start and the one with the zip line to finish with was complete closed at one point. More waiting! It wasn’t until someone complained that they even seems to put a pep in their step to get it open. Seems like false advertisement to not have everything functioning when you pay full price.

The Explorer Day Pass was definitely worth the money!! The kids had a blast trying out all of the activities especially maceball, axe throwing, and laser tag. We would highly recommend it!!

A very memorable experience shared with friends. The staff is terrific! The adventurer in you will absolutely love The Forge.

We went yesterday to celebrate Fathers Day and enjoyed it. Will go back. A few things to note.
- The kids area (if you child is under 70lbs and can't do the other side) is really small. I thought it was a small version of the adult side or an obstacle course, it's not. It is a small fenced in area with a few structures for them to crawl and run through. The kids enjoyed it, but I was expecting something else.
- We also did the digital scavenger hunt. As adults we loved it. It was fun and a something different to do. But they should not charge for kids. We have a 5 and 8 year old. They couldn't answer any of the clues, far too hard.
Staff was nice, restrooms were clean. Beautify area. Will go back.

Great place to spend time with friends and\or family. Had a great time with my brother and niece.
The staff is great and very attentive to each and every person.
Even walking out we had a staff member ask how our day was!
There are many different "elements" (types of obstacles). I was wondering if I could make it and I did.
Make sure you're hydrated while you're there! It's easy to overheat with all the exertion.
Good times! Thank you Forge!
Steph
Did the canoeing with my family and they loved it! My five year old loved the kid zone that they have. Next time I’d love to try the zip lining!!
Becca Weinberg
We'd previously gone to the Forge for the paddleboats and little kid activity area, which was a nice family activity (though the boats can be a pain to steer). So I knew the wooded area and lake were beautiful. Today my older son and I tried the actual ropes courses and they were phenomenal! All the staff members were knowledgeable and friendly, and the actual courses were challenging and very fun. We stayed for about 2 and a half hours, and didn't come close to trying every challenge, but definitely got a good work out along the way! The zip line over the lake is fabulous!

Amazing lawn seat concert venue, Eagles tribute band, One of These Nights performed Friday evening. Gorgeous evening with a full moon, a good time had by all. Check out The Forge events page!

The kids area was pretty awesome, Archery area could definitely use some work. The bows are cheap but it's expected when trying to get multiple age ranges on the field. The food and drinks are very pricey. 16 bucks for 5 cans of soda. I would recommend bringing your own food and drinks. Prices for the activities could definitely be a little lower. Alot of staff had their pronouns added to there name tags, which my wife and I thought was pretty cool. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try it.

Disney sings was a win! Great place for a birthday party! Kids loved the park and staff were amazing and helpful! The staff were very tentative to keeping the park clean and safe for all of the kids. Amazing fun! I’m a mom and made it through the ropes, zip line and the climbing wall! This is a place for the whole family 😅 you will love the sweat!

This place could be way cooler with a better owner. As is, they're visibly short staffed. Half of the climbing wall was closed because of staffing issues. The top part of the open climbing wall for advanced climbers was closed due to staffing issues. At times the rappel off their largest tower was closed due to staffing issues. Multiple obstacle courses closed due to staffing. All of this causes long lines and backups as people are forced to queue up while they wait for staff members to assist them. Staff essentially bounce around and head to wherever the lines are longest because there aren't enough of them to be stationed everywhere they are needed. Starting pay is $14 which likely explains why they can't find enough people to work. Clearly the owner is completely out of touch with the current job market.
Overall, the park is cool though, once you get your training you can just do your thing and stay as long as you want and climb and reclimb various courses. This would be fun for most ages, young teenagers and up. Lots of cool stuff to do and will likely be back again. I just hope they fix their staffing issues because charging full price for the course when half the stuff is closed is not fair for customers, nor is it fair for the staff who have to pick up the slack for missing employees because the owner won't pay enough to properly staff the place.

It was a bit hard to find at first but this place is huge and and staff was great. They have lockers to store your belongings, you have to pay), they also have porty potties. It was a great experience and I felt safe. You definitely need upper body strength and balance. You will get tired quickly and thirsty. I do recommend bringing food and water and also eat a nice meal before going. I can’t wait to do it again.
Nicole Joy
Our daughter had an amazing week of camp. She’s a little on the anxious side and was nudged to tackle adventure respectfully by the wonderful and caring staff. The week was jam packed with activities which cater to different interests so everyone got to partake in the things they enjoyed the most. Can’t say enough good things about the experience!
CherryBomb737
Chicagoland should feel very lucky to have this park to visit. You feel like you are on vacation. The equipment is top of the line and the crew consistently checks on climbers to make sure they are tightened up and safe. Everyone in the crew that we came into contact with were helpful and polite. The park is very clean and maintained.
Things to take note of:
-Bring Leather gloves with you that fit well and a bandana. (These items are also on sale here if needed).
-There are some picnic tables and benches for your family while others are climbing.
-You can bring food and there is a restaurant on the East side of park.
-It’s also free to walk around the park.
-Bring water bottles that have a solid loop to carabiner into your climbing gear.
-I suggest the 8 Towers Adventure as a great way to get to know the climbing structures. This is not for the faint of heart and will test you to your core. Although, if you fall off an obstacle, you can be assured that you are safe. The double lock-in safety system is amazing and will not allow you to remove both safety straps at the same time.
-Mountain bikes are for rent and the course is sick!
-Paddle boats, single and double kayaks are also for rent.
It’s hard to get them on the phone. You will have to go online to sign up and also sign a waiver. This can all be done in person day of depending on availability.
Like other reviewers have said. It’s a great place to spend quality time with your family.
We obviously can’t wait to return to The Forge!! Thanks for bringing this great 300 acre adventure park just 20 miles outside of Chicago.
Arun KY
Definitely 5 stars for fun but there are few things that can be improved.
It was fun filled adventure trip to me and my 13 yr old son.
It would have been nice if there was more details on how to prepare before visiting the place for first timers.
Gloves- The gloves provided at the location was overpriced. If a brief information of what kind of gloves are allowed would have helped.
personal belongings - I was told that I cant carry car keys, wallet and cellphone and felt I was forced to rent locker just for these three items. But when I got the bag/ pouch for water bottle, I felt I could have carried phone and car keys along with me. The locker money was totally a waste.
photos and video - This is a great adventure and people would love to take photos and videos. It would be nice to see supporting information on how to safely carry cell phone if no

Excellent Experience!!! We dined in an igloo - what a great experience. The ambience / lighting is perfect. You'll feel like you're on vacation. All the igloos have heaters, so it was very comfortable on a chilly night. To start, the outdoor natural setting is beautiful, the music great, fire pit inviting, and the staff is super friendly! Our waiter was very attentive and the food was delicious!!! We started with a grilled antipasto vegetable appetizer and the beef short ribs as the main entree. Dessert was an excellent chocolate cake! Everything was delicious!!! - they also have a great variety of drinks.

It was a lot of fun. However, I scheduleed online and originally planned to be there on sunday at 9:15 for the 8 towers adventure. I got a call on saturday afternoon saying they were no longer open that early on weekends due to staffing problem, and okay but the website should state that. Also only 4 towers were open when I paid full price. I understand but I think it’s proof of bad service and I will not be returning due to this.
Sandy O
One of these Nights were awesome! More food variety would be great- more than hotdogs. After the show, it would be nice to have some lights come on to gather your things. Long walk to parking lot in the dark. Still enjoyed it
Tony Holt
The ultimate 4 season urban adventure. 8 climbing towers with 300 challenges, 2 miles of zip lines, mountain biking 🚲 , skating ⛸, concerts, water activities, laser tag, and much more. There are also walking and hiking trails, tons of great food options. They have memberships along with online booking options but they are booked out months in advance at times. Great for all ages and abilities.

It was our first time at The Forge and we were super impressed. The venue was a perfect place for a casual summer night concert. The bathrooms were clean, the lines were short and the music was great. We definitely plan on coming back again.

Doc and his family spent some quality time together climbing and zip lining. This hidden gem in Lemont was a fun family experience, challenging with some great climbs, great views of the quarries and overall a ton of fun. Also, we were super impressed with al of the safety measures used at The Forge. Between the helpful/courteous staff to the double safety harnesses, we were very confident in all of the climbs we did, that we were safe and well taken care of. If you are looking for something fun and challenging to do with your family or friends, check out The Forge, you won’t be disappointed!
Elizabeth Escalante
I came to the Forge for the wreath making with a group. What a lovely hidden gem! Hiking trails and summertime activities such as zipline, Heather and Emma gave us local history and information about interesting upcoming events. And it's conveniently located near a charming area full of restaurants and shops. I will definitely be back.
Yessica Lopez
Such a fun experience. My husband and I had a great time climbing and zip lining. The staff there was very helpful and polite. Will definitely do kayaking next time.
Donna Madia
The Eagle's Tribute Band was fabulous and so was the opening band. The Forge was easy to get in and out of and the washrooms were clean. Staff couldn't be nicer. Had a great time.
Art Bretz
Outstanding venue.
The grounds are wonderful, in the area to and from parking is recreational.
Wonderful landscape.
One of these nights (Band that played)
Was more than outstanding. I enjoyed the night so much. And it sure beats going to the loop to do something.
Fish 007
Food, Drinks, Music, Sunset. Atmosphere is great for the Dine and Drink crowd.
Activities are pricey and need to reserve % of capacity for walk up crowd. Need more flexibility.

The best adventure park I have done. The equipment is really new. The staff are so responsible and are everywhere to keep you safe. Every thing is to make sure you are safe and having fun. I definitely want to do it again. Eight towers will definitely exhaust all of the possibility to entertain yourself!
Debbie Buczkiewicz
We had a lot of fun on the ropes course and the Zipline at the end. Very friendly, patient and helpful staff. I felt very safe throughout our time there. I would recommend and look forward to returning.
Kurt Cichowski
A great 1st time! Clear instructions and great direction. I would have said 5 stars if they had more towers open but this Sunday they were understaffed so a bit more crowded overall. Bring your own water bottle and carabiner if possible!
Gregg Wilson
Did the climbing and zip-line. Takes a while to get the hang of it, need to go back and be able to roll right away. We were sent to the tower first that had the final zip-line, we got up top there and thought wait, we’re not ready to finish. Shouldn’t have been sent there first. Line a little slow on the rock climbing wall, could have had the second rope going but it wasn’t. Fun time and we’ll go back in the spring
Martina Landolt
Let the Fun adventures awaits you. Afraid of heights, just don’t look down and everything will be alright.

The Forge was entertaining however, not efficient. I will say, we went towards the end of the season, it is late October however the wait times were similar to what I would expect at a water park for slides. Getting on the hexagons was quick, maybe 5 minute wait but getting down from the top was a 30-40 minute wait. The issue was understaffing I would say- maybe during high season they have better staffing. At the top of a hexagon I would be waiting to cross and before I could another climber who was not waiting at all would jump in front of all the people waiting simply because their particular Avenue was clear to the auto belay. On top of that, the staff member doing the auto belay had to instruct each person each time they came up on what to do which made the process very slow. It would really help out if the staff members could take more leadership when up there and identify the people wanting to go down the auto belays. Say… ok who wants to go down raise your hands. Ok you number 1 you 2 you three. That way nobody is cutting in line. Once you get those 5 people you know want to go down, speak up and brief them all as a group rotating yourself to be sure they can see. That was you get them all down efficiently. Only one rock wall was open when three other rock walls were being unused (yes probably staffing issues) so we skipped the rock wall after wait a while since each climber was about 8 minutes each with 10 in line. 80 minute wait..nah. The big zip line was cool, the wait for it was long though about 40 minutes standing around, but at least nobody could cut on that one so it was fair. The way they briefed the people in line for the zip line though was not very efficient. They had a line of 5 in front and a line of 5 in back. Everybody was in ear shot for the briefing, however once the back 5 people moved up the front row they sat through a second briefing. Why not start the briefing again after those 10 people went down. Overall it was fun, however it was also irritating to be witness to the inefficiencies. With the price paid (by the way, search google for a promo code, I happened upon one for 25 percent off) with the price paid, I would have preferred doing the other package they offered which was mountain biking etc. with adequate staffing and more staff training to increase efficiency I feel that this place would be more enjoyable. Safety though, was good. I never felt unsafe, the staff did handle safety well.

Took a drive there on Friday, 7/29, for the Twilight climb and zip line. As it was worth the 50 minute drive there were disappointments. First thing was they were severely understaffed which meant long waits for everything. The girl which got us into the harness was talking so fast we asked her to repeat instructions and she said, oh you’ll figure it out.” The other down fall is on their website they advertise 5 towers to climb, yet only 3 were open. Overall it was a fun experience.
Damon Pellegrini
Had a blast! Enjoyed every minute here. I did the high ropes and climbing, well worth it. Wide variety of obstacles and activities to choose from. Saved $20 via Groupon as well.
Melissa Kelly
Wonderful outing with extended family. 6 teenagers, 4 adults. Lots of challenges, laughs, and bonding moments. Staff is helpful with tips on Hardest Tower and super conscientious with safety. There is always at least 1 staff member with eyes on the tower and at least 1 staff member on the tower with guests. Would highly recommend.
Theresa R
Forge has so many great outdoor activities but the zombie laser tag is a family favorite every year! Great laser guns, tracking and the zombies and field are all wesome. Highly recommend!
Kristina Cruz
What a fun experience! Organized well and such a great day. Definitely didn’t have to do a workout this day as I did enough work for about 5 days. Highly recommend
Lisa Marie Pickens
We had a great time at the adventure park. My favorite was the axe throwing, but others in our group really enjoyed ziplining. We were very disappointed that they did not have burgers and beyond burgers as advertised on their website.
Trisha Holder
Holy cow! We had so much fun here! This is a great place for a day date. We were blown away by how cool the climbing structures were. We will recommend this place to all of our friends.
Martina Alvarez
My daughter and I loved the whole experience of the obstacles courses and zip lining I felt very very safe and staff were very helpful. The only thing was the porta potty it did not smell very good I’m thinking for a place as big as this they could have regular restrooms otherwise We highly recommend it 😊 for the activities …
Jessica Long
I really enjoyed the Forge! The aerial elements were very fun. It was nice to kayak and paddle boat on the quarry, which is very beautiful just beneath the water. We even tried out the biking trick path. I think it’ll be hype when they work in the single lane bike paths!
My couple of suggestions and why I didn’t give five stars were for the following reasons:
1. It would be nice to have 3 lanes of difficulty on the climbing wall. For beginners, there were holds that weren’t very easy to grasp, which made traversing the wall pretty difficult!
2. It should be made clearer when certain aerial elements are only one way.
3. It would be nice for those who aren’t the most comfortable up so have to have some lower ropes course experience. Especially when folk have nice done this before.
4. There were no vegan or vegetarian friendly food options at the food station. Like a veggie hummus wrap or a PBJ would’ve been nice.
Other than that though, we had a blast!
Nicholas Dixon
Great fun safe challenges but honestly I was most impress with the staff they were all nice from the instructors in the beginning and each member at each station hopefully their boss appreciate them, overall great experience.
Mariana Villalpando
It was a fun experience, sadly it lasted for 1.5 hours, they should let give a certain time till everyone can do everything...but other than that completely fun, we all enjoyed it! plus it said they close at 7pm and the latest we could be there was 6pm that didn't make sense
Jux
Amazing! Zombies really chase you. CHASE YOU! Very fun and interactive :)
Elizabeth Bennett
We went there to eat in a globe. Really different way to eat outside and stay warm. Food was really good. We had reservations. To get there you go on Talcott, then northeast to entrance. It’s not marked that well. Could use a larger sign. Don’t go right to forest preserve area, go left. You must go east at least a block or two to parking lots then walk over a bridge. The address shown was 1001 but that got us in town. We called here and the nice employee gave us better instructions.
Matt Eigel
What a great addition to the town of Lemont and the Lemont Heritage Quarries! This place is an amazing adventure park for all types of people to enjoy. Whether your a seasoned pro or a complete beginner you will have a great time. The pay to play format for the activities allows anyone to participate in the adventures of their choosing. Get a membership or a day pass to do it all. If you only want to do one activity you can choose an à la carte option. You can also just walk around the park to observe the fun. The staff is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. I saw many instances of employees going out of their way to ensure that guests were having a great time. Get there early and go often, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Jason Vorrier
Very physically demanding, but they warn you. Wasn't sure what to expect, had a good time! FYI, when climbing the obstacles, you have no weight on your harness, so you actually have to balance/pull your own weight. Staff were very friendly and helpful!
Joan Seay
Lovely venue and the weather and colors made it even better. Grandchild and his friend enjoyed their adventure pass bday treat.
Ian Petersen
From five-story high rock climbing walls to super shaky platforms way up in the air to tightrope walking to cargo net traversing to hanging on for dear life to death defying ziplining, we had one helleva adventure packed day!! I had such a blast with these amazing people and I would totally recommend this place to all of the thrill seekers out there. We will be back!
Jello Dee Marco
This is a godsend for locals. 8 structures where you personally zipline to multiple. Mountain bike course and watercraft rentals for a small pond. The annual membership is a phenomenal price to go as much as you want.
Justin
This place is absolutely amazing and unexpected in the area -- there is nothing like it around and the scale is hard to comprehend until you visit.
Hopefully the word gets out and foot traffic increases as I would love to see this place succeed!
Sylvia Niemiec
We experienced the dinner in the globe and it was wonderful. I was really surprised how warm the globe was inside. The food was top notch. We had the hot cocoa once we got in. Very delicious. The staff are all very kind and welcoming. First time here and I will definitely be back. Place is huge, expect some walking and a ton of fun.
Deb Keltner
What a great place! Much bigger than I thought. It’s like your in the middle of the woods and there’s all this cool stuff to do. This is a very rustic woodsy and magical place created for all ages and a unique diamond in the rough. Music & food, live music, film night under the stars, zip lining, climbing walls, obstacle courses of all sorts. It’s hidden away and perfect for anyone that needs a outdoor adventure or to escape all of the technology that has taken over our lives. The staff is excellent and always happy to help. We will be back. Oh, and get your kids signed up for Camp! WOW!
Kevin Cody
We met up with friends at The Forge to watch a concert at their outdoor stage, and we had a great time! Super Diamond surprised us on how good they were, especially during the encore set when they played a variety of 80’s rock & roll hits. The venue with pines silhouetted by the colors of dusk added to the experience. Purchase of the very reasonably-priced tickets online & entry were easy. I have just one small suggestion… Have some non-alcoholic drinks besides water at the venue beverage tent, particularly when you can’t bring your own. We will be going again… with more friends!
RG 2.0
We love the Forge area. We often bring our kayaks and paddle the quarries. We saw you could rent kayaks at The Forge itself, different body of water.
We went for their Food Truck festival which was great!
Many good choice options.
Arranged well around a grassy area and a dj on stage to provide great up beat music.
We discovered there is a restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking the lake where they allowed their rental kayaks.
Great facility.
One note for next event... Be up front about parking. They made us pull into 1st parking lot right by railroad track crossing and everyone had to walk like 1/2 mile to get to the actual festival.
We would have driven farther in to the Forge area and parked at closer lot.
Melissa Kroehler
From the time we arrived to the time we left, 5 STARS!!! We were running behind due to some traffic on I55 and I was worried we would loose our reservations. However, the staff was incredibly welcoming, helpful and forgiving!! Food was to die for! Kudos to the chef. We will definitely go back.
Matilda Mwaniki
Forgefire Globe Dining experience. This was an adventure. The staff is attentive including the chef! The hot apple cider is delicious! We'll definitely be going again.
Alesha Boyer
Went with my three kids and had a lot of fun on the climbing / ropes / zip-line course. I was impressed by the friendly staff, safety features and intelligent design. Ages 12, 15, 17 and nevermind, found the challenges fun with a wide variety. Cannot wait to bring bikes and tackle the technical trails.
JoAnn Costa
The Neil Diamond concert was so good. The two singers before the show started were very good as well.
This show was unbelievably great entertainment.
The entire group was so musically talented. Not one boring moment. After the show everyone was stunned they got to see it for the very reasonable cost. I guarantee the word will spread.
A big thank you for uplifting the audience for a couple of hours. It was especially nice to see some people who were in wheel chairs having such a good time.
The weather was very cooperative as well.
Thank you for bringing this to our community!
Vargo's Dance
Very neat place. The place is massive gorgeous, and kept very well. We bought the Zip & Climb adventure package. The staff was phenomenal and super helpful.
Only issue was half the towers were closed including part of the main rock climbing wall which was the main reason we went. Reason given to us was “ under staffing” which I completely understand. However, it’s wrong to charge full price for something and only deliver half of it. We would have gladly booked on a different day had we known. One of the staff members said they used to have a page on their website stating which towers were closed for the day- but they don’t do it any more. ?? Ski resorts do this all the time. Not sure why it was taken down.
Unfortunately we drove from 40 min away and spent a good amount of money to find this out after we were harnessed up and climbing.
Super cool place. But disappointed by above.
Jill Skoryk
OMG this place is so much fun!!! I loved it! The kids loved it! Even grandpa loved it!!! The staff is so so patient and kind. It is definitely an all day event and I cannot wait to go back. I was quite impressed at how safe I felt no matter how high, fast or scary.
Alexis C
Lovely folks running the camp and my kiddo (8) had fun. But I think a lot of the value is in the ropes course / zip line which he isn’t heavy enough to do. We will probably hold off on coming back until he hits that magical 70 lbs.
Muhanad Omar
So much fun! Everyone who worked there was professional, incredibly nice, and super helpful. The location is great and really well kept. There’s a challenge level for everyone and a lot of fun all around. I’ll definitely be going back
Shristi Rajbhandari
Fun place. You can spend a day here, if you have the energy.
Advise: Bring your gloves(full finger), cap/bandana, and water. They give you a pouch to carry water bottle. Otherwise it will cost you $7 each.
imrock123
My husband and I had a great time at the forge! We did the ropes course and the zip line. We felt like the overall guidance was unclear and confusing as far as what to do/where to go. There was also not much staff around when people needed help on the courses. It was pretty crowded when we were there, so I’m sure that was part of the problem. Otherwise it was fun!
A few notes- If you do the ropes/zip line, you are only allowed to do the big zip line one time. There are smaller ones you can take to and from the towers, but only one time on the large one. Do not go if you are afraid of heights!
I wish they had a membership, we would totally buy! We had a great time.
John Trojanowski
The facility itself is fantastic. TONS to do there. That being said, there is definitely room for improvement. First, the Forge is not as easy as it seems to get to. Entering it into GPS does no good. Had to double back after GPS dropped me on the other side of the quarry. Second, signage is a bit small. Being our first time there, we accidentally parked in overflow and walked in the 85 degree heat for about three blocks before a ranger corrected us on where to park to minimize the trek. Lastly, bring your wallet. The Forge Will hit you up for everything. There are no memberships or packages you can buy to provide maximum entertainment for the kids. $15 for one hour in the kids section. My 4yo wanted to go back in again and I had to tell her no as it would cost us another $15. $25 for an hour to paddle around the quarry in a kayak. Don’t get me wrong, it is beautiful, but I don’t think it justifies the cost. $6.50 for a small water and small apple juice. Inflation at its finest. After writing all this though, we had a great time and will be returning. Just hoping the Forge reads this and makes some improvements to the costs to entertain the little ones.

This place is amazing! There’s so much stuff to do that an afternoon is not enough. We did the Zip/Climb adventure and it was worth it. There’s so much climbing to do from easy to mod to hard. The zipline across the quarry was so cool! The staff paid attention to safety.
Monika Gylys
Clean, not too crowded, and perfect for all ages. For $15 each, the older kids took kayaks out for an hour, and the little ones went on the kids adventure zone. This says it’s appropriate for 3-13 year olds, but I think its more appealing to 3-9 year olds. It would be great if they added a splash pad or something water related to cool off though!

My experience at The Forge was AMAZING! One of the things that really stood out was the staff. Each and every staff member was very respectful and enthusiastic about their job. Their name tags had their pronouns which was something small but made me (and likely the staff members) more comfortable! The staff members (especially Rose? I think that’s her name) are super respectful of personal space and are happy to answer questions. They all seemed genuinely happy to be there which made me happy. I’m willing to pay a premium for the wonderful staff and of course the high ropes courses were amazing!! The quarry and surrounding areas themselves were stunning, and the park was no exception. Each facility is well maintained, including the bathrooms. Overall, I had a wonderful experience, will tell others about it and will be coming back :)
Katie Walker
Had a great day with the family! It was fun, exhilarating, and a nice little workout. The staff was awesome, too! Some names that stood out were Abby and Jake. Would definitely recommend!
Vanessa Lee
We took 4 kids ages 3-6 to play at the kid zone area. They had a blast. Our issue was food. The website said no outside food or drink, so we didn’t bring anything. But then there was nothing except chips, granola bars, etc. I would just bring your own food

Great customer service, I used the Archery range, prices were good, I can’t say I shot well but I be only shot one other time in my life so Far…. I do have one small complaint, the Arrows seemed cheep I would like a little bit better made arrows but I understand if it can’t be Accommodated due to price. All other things went great.
Nancy Good
A fun and challenging adventure with excellent, well- trained staff who teach you everything you need to know. A unique and beautiful park with adventures for families, groups and corporate teams. We brought 15 middle school students for the time of their lives. Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day!
Lauren Carter
Had a great time with my 6yo & 4yo on the ropes. They were nervous at first, but then didn't want to leave, they were having so much fun. We went on a colder day and had the place to ourselves. Free to enter, free parking, and you only pay for the events you use. We look forward to going back in the warmer months to make use of the paddle boats. Love the natural setting, and can imagine watching all the events from the well-placed tables and fire pit seats. We'll be back!
Megan Welbourne
My 9 year old just spent a week at the Forge summer camp and he said it was the best!! Climbing, biking, kayaking, laser tag… all of the activities were his favorite! They did a great job with the kids and it was well worth the cost. He has already asked to go again next year!
Samantha Parratore
The time spent there was great! Amazing location amd views. The staff were amazing from time of arrival and check in to each area and activity in the park. This time around we did the zip line/ropes course, axe throwing and the little one got to play in the kids zone. Everything was well maintained, cleaned and fun. Will deffinally be back for more adventures and try different t activities!

They changed the weight requirement mid visit and my daughter couldnt ride the big zipline. I appreciate the safety first philosophy but when a ticket is more than Six Flags and you can't do 1 of the 3 things you paid for...they should have done something (partial refund, coupon). They did nothing.
Update: they sent me a coupon. Adding 1 star.
debra rincon
The front office staff (check in) was not very knowledgeable, or a few other staff as well, who didn’t even know a thing about the activities we were doing or where it was located.
The facility itself was awesome and my kids enjoyed the experiences they had there.
When I booked the online reservation for an activity, I also added a lunch (3) prior to check out. The front staff did not inform me that what I chose was not available to eat, so for my two picky kids, that was not fun.. as I did not pack a lunch because we planned to eat lunch there.
I’m not sure if we will return.

Went to see “The Forge does Disney” with my 3 and 1 year old and about 20 of our friends and littles. There were no food items/kids snacks for purchase in the direct concert arena area… huge missed opportunity for some fresh popcorn sales, hot dogs, etc.! The stage was completely black, no colorful signs or bright curtains, or anything eye catching for the kids. Although interesting facts for the adults that singer X was on Chicago Fire, not exactly information the kids could follow either. Songs included High School Musical, Hercules, and The Hunch Back— all seemingly a bit outdated. I’d envisioned Disney princesses singing their own songs on stage in costume to engage the kiddos- but the princesses came and went after the 1/2 hour meet and greet. Most of the performers were pretty good, just didn’t appeal to us as a “kids show”, per say.
Joh Collins
Had a great time! Took my daughter to do kayaking and the adventure area. Facility was clean and staff was nice, knowledgeable, and super helpful. Can’t wait to go back and try some of the other fun activities.
Stephen Seitz
We loved our time at The Forge! It was quite the experience and the staff there made it that much better. Specifically Paul was a HOOT and super fun to be around! The one suggestion that I would have had was have some clocks up on the course to give you an idea of the time. The only negative was that we didn't know what time it was so we could have gotten a couple more courses done but that is mostly on us!
John Pope
Great experience. While we took the shuttle, which ran regularly and quickly, there was parking available onsite. The grounds were well groomed, a diverse and friendly crowd, and entertaining band. The drinks and food were reasonably priced. Will be back next year with more friends.
Nikolette Manna
The Forge was SUCH a fun time. There are are multiple towers and you can zip line between towers. The massive zip line over the water at the end was a blast. Our friend group is definitely coming back this summer to try out kayaking and laser tag! 10/10!
Cordie Nelson
Had a blast! The staff was friendly and helpful. The archery was really fun. But the showstopper was definitely the ropes course! Will be going back.
Muhamad Krad
Great place. Was very fun trip with the kids. Rock climbing and high rope climbing and zip lining. Recommended.
Would do again. Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.

I’m tacking on to the review submitted by Laura Palermo related to accommodations for the handicapped. My husband has Parkinson’s and he is the guy that Laura and others strived to make this experience possible for him.
My husband and is ambulatory but has mobility issues. We did find getting him to the venue for the concert to be quite challenging. We really had to plan and make special arrangements.
The most frustrating aspect was getting out of the venue after the concert. It was explained to us that the buses would not travel to Gate 2 to pick up any passengers. All bus passengers had to walk to Gate 1 in order to take a bus back to the remote lots. Well, given that my husband has Parkinson’s, it would have been an ordeal to get him to walk to Gate 1. We would have been there until midnight.
Therefore, I had to walk to Gate 1, get on the bus and travel to the Metra parking lot, get my car, drive back to the Forge, and drive AGAINST exiting traffic to get to Gate 2 to pick up my husband. It was like a salmon swimming upstream!!! Quite the challenge!
I agree with Laura. Some serious consideration needs to be given to providing better accommodations to the handicapped…. It would be much appreciated.
Phil Culinovic
We had a great evening. The music and atmosphere was excellent. Love having our lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the evening. Thanks for having us. See you soon.

Venue great for summer Night concert -
I want to explain in a positive light so maybe handicap options can be made available for future events, Suggest more options for people with disabilities. I know there was a big write up a while back about the opportunities for wheel chair bound people to partake in the zip lining etc- not so much for getting the handicapped (w a walker or wheelchair) into a concert venue like we attended. We needed to be near the restrooms as it’s easier w a walker to be closer. Maybe a specific reserved area for handicapped seating?
We called the park a few weeks prior along w a few village “people who know people” that we know to chart out getting in w a handicap individual/ walker. We knew this was going to be a challenge that needed planning. Only a few parking spots (maybe need a larger area for handicap parking?); we asked about a golf cart shuttle - we were told there are golf carts but not for shuttling handicapped individuals. No assistance from the park for our needs. So We took a dry run a week Prior, and truthfully, if we did NOT do the dry run we wouldn’t have realized how handicap unfriendly the concert venue is.
So - part of our party came at 3pm to set up chairs sets, purposely to be near the outhouses. 2 couples Came back in separate vehicles at 5:30pm and parked at the train station, shuttled to our spot carrying chairs, along w a special chair for our friend and a small cooler on wheels (we set up like a mini ravinia). At 6pm, our friend dropped off her husband w his walker, he waited alone while we located him- his wife drove back to the metra and shuttled back alone. We walked to “find” and usher him to our seats once we got the call he was dropped off at our pre-designated area. Walking over the bridge and on the lumpy ground was do-able but long and treacherous for walker use. We enjoyed the music and we saw a lot of people from the community. We liked how there were 2 beverage stands with food stands around the perimeter of the venue.
At the end of the concert - we had to get our friend with the walker to our “waiting spot” back over the bridge and a ways down to wait with him while 2 other people went on shuttle to get the cars. We had a difficult time getting back into the actual Forge parking lot where all the cars were exiting - but we eventually got in to pick up our waiting friends - one with a walker.
It was exhausting but worth it to have all of us enjoy a night out.
Just suggesting that maybe some more thought go into making changes for the process I described above to be easier for those with handicaps- wheelchairs and/or walkers.
Looking forward to future happenings.
Julie Maye
My son attended summer camp at The Forge and had the time of his life! He's already talking about how he can't wait to go back next year. He was able to try a lot of new things which has been amazing for his confidence. If you have a kid that loves adventure (or for.yoursrlf), I highly suggest you check this place out!
Aparna Oak
It was my first time zip lining. An amazing experience made very safe by the staff at the Forge. Instructors who geared and equipped us with safety gear were very helpful. One suggestion I have is if a camera/video option of the ride can be added towards the end of the ride - will be desirable to capture memories
Janine Wilkins
This place is AMAZING! I went wit a good friend who was doing the adaptive zip lining(she is in a wheel chair). The staff was beyond friendly, took their time and made everyone comfortable. I am so afraid of heights and Grace and Sydney stayed by my side until I left the platform. May worked with Reem and was so patient and attentive. I can not thank The Forge enough for this experience.
TREBLE MUSIC
This was a great experrience, My son really had a blast with all the activities , and for me it was so relaxing especially conoeing out in the quarrie. Staff was awesome and helpful. We are looking to return very soon becsuse the overall day was just great i had no compliants the entire day. GET THE ALL DAY PASS... ITS WORTH IT.
edd x
It was my first time doing aerial climbing which I was fine with until the end - I couldn’t get myself to walk off and trust the belay rope to catch me, so I nearly had a panic attack at the top 😅 I was very thankful the employee talking to me was kind and patient, even though other climbers were getting annoyed lol. I want to give a shout out to Mikaela, she helped belay me down and never complained or made it seem like an inconvenience. She was super sweet and helpful the entire day honestly. I dont know if I will ever do this again but I am glad I tried it.
More pros: Great healthy food selection, compostable bags instead of plastic bags, reusable water bottles that are recyclable, etc. They seem very eco-friendly.
Bus shuttles to and from parking lots/entrance. Friendly service.
Cons: The “easy” aerial climbing areas are not super beginner friendly. Requires a lot of upper body strength that seemed to be an issue with a lot of people. Many people got stuck because they were too tired to help themselves back up. By the end, my arms and back were shaking from exhaustion, so make sure you’re ready for that and make sure youre well hydrated/fed before climbing.
Lourdes Becerra
The kids loved it! The day pass is definitely worth it. Be sure to bring water and snacks. That can get expensive. 4 bottles of water and 2 bags of SunChips for $23.00.
Donna Fitzgerald
The staff are well educated and offer top notch training for all skill levels. Enjoyed every minute of our day here! Worth the trip to The Forge!
Lisa Ventrella
45 mins of my three hour reservation was taken up with safety training. I should not be penalized for your mandatory risk management. I know it’s important, but I certainly wouldn’t need to repeat it if I came again
Mark Murphy
Great music last weekend to celebrate 2 years! The venue for music is great with a lot of room so you don't feel tight. The band was amazing. Food trucks and beer, what else do you need on a summer night!
Hannah Bogdan
Wonderful place great for families. I bit pricy but Is worth it! The bathrooms were super clean and they tried their best to make everything super accessible!
Kathy B.
Great band! Perfect weather. A little more variety of IPAs (there was only one) and it would have been a 5.

This is the second I have visited The Forge 07/29/22
First, the good. All of the employees were very friendly and informative. A lady named Hope was here again this season and did a great job with our training. She was wonderful!
We also ran into Hope again when we were about to climb the rock wall.
Unfortunately again this year the top level was closed. As we're about to start climbing she was called over the radio and had to go fill another position. The next 2 hours we were there the rock wall was closed.
Finally, there were two towers closed due to staffing shortages once again.
Although we didn't get to do everything we wanted to we had a wonderful experience there. I highly recommend taking an adventure there!
An update to my initial post...guest relations reached out to me and related that they have had some challenges since it is basically their first year because of Covid and are trying to work through them. They genuinely seemed interested in my input which made me feel like my experience and opinion mattered. I'll definitely be open to give them another opportunity in the spring when they're fully staffed.
I visited the forge 9/26/21 with my child and purchased the 8 towers package for $164.80.
We were very excited to get out there and explore the park. What we were met with was an overcrowded severely understaffed 4 towers. The rest were closed because of the staffing shortage.
I paid full price for the entire package, was never made aware that half the park was shut down.
Several times I had to direct people that there are going the wrong way an obstacles. I felt like I should have gotten a paycheck on that day.
There were some nice kids that work there, but you could tell they were even irritated.
You couldn't even climb to the top of the rock tower because they didn't have enough staffing.
Don't waste your money until the park is fully staffed and all the towers will be open.
Very poor management. It was a surprise when you started walking towards the towers in the back and were told they weren't open.
Obviously a secret they're trying to keep to make sure people come and spend their big bucks there.
Cathy Baids
The grandchildren loved the climbing/ziplining adventure and the kayaking! I'm sure we'll be back to experience the other activities available at The Forge!
Tina F
So much fun! The staff were helpful, went here for a bday, and totally worth going! I told everyone I know about it lol. Cant wait to visit again soon!
Robyn Vires
I attended a concert last night and guests were allowed to enter with coolers! Upon checking the website and chatting with.a rep at The Forge, it was very clear that no coolers are allowed. I asked someone from The Foge who said they’ll let.coolers in but no beverages. This is a complete contradiction to the venue polices. Make a decision, publicize it and enforce it!
The Bob-E Experience
It was ok, different than what I expected. I thought we’d be walking through a field shooting zombies, like an outdoor haunted house. It was for the most part just laser tag outdoors with spots to duck under with the zombies just being a detail.
Janette Rivera
First time there for Sip & Paint. Very good time! People are great! Will definitely be going back for other activities!!
Donna Ponte
There are separate parks with separate fees. And you must have a time slot registered date and time. No fee parking and mountain biking. Very kind and helpful staff.
Keith K
My son and son in law had a blast climbing topped off by a long zipline over a large lake. Two thumbs up.
Karen Gavras
We did the Forgefire dining and it was very nice. The domes were set up nice and warm. The drink selection had a lot of options with both hot and cold drinks which was nice. The menu is set for the weekend so we knew what we were eating. Food was served fresh and hot and was very good. All of the staff was welcoming and service was great. We had a nice dinner with friends in a unique setting that was a lot of fun.
Ron Stemplewski
I'll tell you, this was our first time there and unfortunately it was the last day of winter Globe dining! If we would had known about this adventure earlier, I'm sure we would have visited more often.
The staff was unbelievable, professional and very knowledgeable!
The food was spot on and exactly what they said they would serve!
The Foundry (at The Forge) winter season Global dining is definitely a destination to put on you bucket list!
Rick Smith
It was quite an experience. We happen to go on a 15° night with the wind howling so the little heater didn't do much and the overhead light did not work. But those are the only negatives. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the warm drinks were perfect. We would do it again and hope for a little forgiving weather...
Brittany Schodrof
Had a laser tag birthday party for my 8 year old. The staff was great, super helpful. Angelica was absolutely amazing and so easy to get in touch with if I had any questions. The grounds are beautiful. Awesome place!
Melanie Holmes
First time here to eat in a waterside igloo. Such a great experience. The staff are so welcoming (waiter Johnny, chef Jeanine). The chef stopped by our igloo, she stayed outside the door. The food was awesome. Started with chicken & cauliflower kabobs w peanut sauce. Every dish that came, we were told if there were nuts or gluten. Then a thick yummy veg stew, and for entree, brats (regular for hubby, vegetarian brat for me). A healthy but lovely dessert capped it off, homemade ice cream on a bed of granola with warm raspberries. Oh yeah. That's right!
It was a sunny day so the door was zippered open plus 2 windows open. Spectacular view, service, food.
Now, since this is "out in nature" you'll want to wear boots because the path from car lot to restaurant is pretty wet. Not an issue in May, but today is Feb 27.
Also, everyone was great about being safe with masks and touchless serving. Though our plates were disposable they were paper! Yay! No plastic plates or styrofoam (bad for Earth).
A little pricey but soooo worth it!
And there's outdoor seating too. They were setting up a table as we left and the staff explained. A heater goes in a pet cage placed under the table for toes. Faux bear rug blankets flank the chairs for you to wrap up. A pretty rock filled mini-pit in middle of table. So cool!
Kaysi Marshall Fitness
We had the perfect day celebrating Fathers Day at The Forge. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Our boys (13 & 10) absolutely loved it too! Highly recommend doing this!
Lisa Nawracaj
Friendly staff and amazing time! Kept my kids ages
9-14 busy and entertained! We did the escape adventure and the guided high ropes course! Was challenging and fun! Would definitely go back!!!
Clair Hignight
The towers were so much fun! We did a guided climb and the guides explained everything quite well. It was a bit cold and rainy so my hands got super cold, but it was still a great time. I didn’t feel unsafe at any point and there was a lot of variety to the challenges.
Stephanie Ciucci
So much fun!! Felt completely safe the whole time. We did 3 hours of climbing and we weren’t even close to doing all the obstacles. We can’t wait to go back.
bridgett hill
Wonderful place to spend the day!! We booked an 11am climb+zipline adventur. It was amazing. Everyone was so nice! We spent 5 hours there and still had not been on every obstacle. I’m very confused as to why this doesn’t show up in a search for “fun things near me” when it was so close and obviously fun lol
Anthony Malana
We spent our day at the pump track and we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the complex. The staff were kind, courteous, & respectful. They showed encouragement and support to all the patrons regardless of skill level.
Beth Rhodes
Fun day at the food truck event. It was hot and sunny, not too many places in the shade and more drink stations needed. The ropes for the kids was very fun.
Nancy Beissel
Went to The Forge for the first time to see a concert, Super Diamond, on June 11th. We had a fabulous time and hope they bring back Super Diamond and other concerts as well. Beautiful atmosphere and scenery! We will be back to take advantage of their activities! It’s awesome there is no entrance or parking fees!
Todd Lawler
Amazing!
This place was so fun for the whole family and well worth it. The staff was awesome, the archery tag, laser tag were a blast.
Friends Of Oak Forest Animal Control
We did ice skating with a private group at The Forge. It was fantastic! The size of the rink is on the small side, but it was perfect for a group of kids learning. The staff was super friendly and the rental skates were far beyond my expectations.
Deborah Malchow
I went here for my birthday and it was amazing! The staff is very friendly and motivating. Every time my group and I were climbing an obstacle or needed help, someone was there to push and give motivation. It was an incredible experience - everyone had a great time. It seems intimidating at first, but the eight towers are totally worth the challenge. You feel stronger and accomplished when you’re done. I highly recommend the forge!
Julian C
Cool place for the whole family. I would highly recommend booking planned activities online before coming in, or you will have to wait in long lines or hours for any activity. Will definitely come back!
Renee Dizillo
Very cool place. Only downfall was that the climbing area was not open and that was the main reason one of my kids wanted to go.
Paulie Walnuts
Was a little underwhelmed by the kid's area. Was hoping for more components. We had a 3 year old in our group; definitely not worth $15 for her. The 9 and 7 year old had a good time though and I guess $15 a piece for them was okay.
Dana Bruckner
We had my son's 10th birthday here with their mew archery tag. The kids had a blast! The staff were great, super helpful and accommodating. The young man in charge of the game even hoped in to play when we were short a player for a bit!
Tara Christiansen
Absolutely amazing experience. Guides were awesome and and courses were well thought out and manageable. Extremely safe and fun adventure. Best ropes course we have ever done. We can’t wait to go back!
Jonathan Schaefer
Fantastic performance (the Forge sings Disney) and great atmosphere. Fun for the whole family… we’ll be back!
Hope Seitz
Great place for an afternoon workout.. Paul was my favorite (even with me calling him Phil the whole time by accident) keep your eyes peeled for the great quarry sharks when riding the final zipline.
Candace Smith Hirsh
So fun & challenging. Staff is very friendly & helpful & equipment felt safe. I would definitely recommend!
Meghan Dusanek
Amazing experience! My husband and I did axe throwing and brunch with live music. Everything was so fun and everyone is so kind! Will 100% be back
Lindsey Temper
We saw a few bands play on a Saturday afternoon/evening and it was awesome! Very well organized and super fun :)
Jacqui G
Fun place just very difficult to locate. I came for the first time for a birthday party. Kinda pricey, but the kids had a great time
Eileen Huffman
My son had an excellent adventure at the quarry camp - from the counselors to the adventuress….they kept him safe and occupied his time well!
Mary Ryan
Great Neil diamond tribute production. Plenty of lawn seating and great acoustics. My only complaint is not being able to find more specific directions on the Forge website. Google maps took us to a dead end by a dog kennel.
Karen Pacella
Everyone that worked there was so very kind, friendly, and helpful!! They make sure you understand what you are doing and that you are safe!! It was an awesome experience!! Can’t wait to go back so glad we found it!! Will be spreading the word about it!! Thank you for a great night!!
Michelle Sneddon
Great outdoor park if you know what you’re REALLY doing. No direction besides the training, you’re free to go wherever you want when you want. They said that the top levels of each “hex” was the hardest which was not true. Had to wait for an employee for at least 10 mins every time just to go up the “hex”.
Julie Stanley
This place is amazing! Very friendly staff that is super helpful and happy to be at work. Even in the rain we had a blast!
Beata May
Everyone was very friendly. Atmosphere was welcoming. Enjoyed the fireworks and the concerts.
Fix it with Matt
Great place with great people. Very well organized and safety oriented. Highly recommend coming with a group of friends.
Andrew Finley
We had a blast on the zipline course. Sam and Paul were amazing. A little sad we didnt see the quarry sharks before we left. Maybe next time!
Dominique Gulli
The Forge is awesome! The staff is so helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond. Matt was so nice to go with my son and his friends on the 8 towers and zip line. He made his birthday!!!! I did not realize the boys needed an adult. I couldn't go because I had my little guy with me. The boys loved Matt! We will definitely be back!
Jeremiah Calvino
Amazing. I was blown away by every aspect of this place. So fun and so cool! I will be back soon.
Yvonne Mlynarczyk
Our first visit. A beautiful night and an awesome band. Looking forward to another visit.
LQ WALKER
I was completely terrified to try kayaking. The staff reassured me it was an ease. They gave great instruction. This park was fascinating. Definitely a place I will re-visit. I loved the ziplining over the small body of water. Laser Tag was more fun that I imagined. Only thing there is was a little difficult knowing who was on our team when playing with a bunch of strangers and kids. I suggest like a Velcro color tag for arms . Other than that. 5 STARS from me.
Deena Mora
Zombie laser tag was fun. When you are on the other side of the laser tag area, it is hard to hear the speakers to know what games you are playing. Maybe the employees should explain the games before we are handed the laser tag guns. Fun for the whole family. There were some children (about 9 or 10 years old) that were throwing rocks and misbehaving before we started laser tag (their guardian was not stopping them). Perhaps children who cannot behave in a mature manner should not be allowed to participate at the loss of their parent's money. We didn't like getting hit with rocks and were glad those children were away from us on the other side. Aside from that, we had a lot of fun.
Melanie Spitzer
This place is so fun! I came with my company, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Can't wait to go back with my boyfriend. I loved that there were different levels for easier or more challenging and that you can randomly meet up in different spots with people who started before or after you but chose different routes to get there. Those with good balance who are not afraid of heights will thrive here. It didn't take as much arm strength as I was expecting.
edgardo campos
Ok yeah maybe you e got fear of heights, but you can start at the most wonderful place for adults and kids to play!
Shannon Smith
Very nice venue! They have thought of everything! You will have a wonderful time. I want to try ziplining next visit.
Cheyenne Nadine Raneses
Super fun adventure! Not for the faint-hearted or people afraid of heights. They make sure you go through orientation and they have a practice course to get you used to clipping/unclipping your cables. You have a choice of difficulty level for obstacle courses to get to the top. The only downside from when we went was that only 4 towers were open cause they were short-staffed. Overall great experience.
Daniel Golembiewski
It was a fun day to walk around, being able to play in the play area with our 3 year old. Was nice that you could walk where ever yoi pretty mich wanted and look at everything, no cost for parking or to walk in just had to pay for the activities that u wanted to do
Patrick Arthur
Excellent evening of Eagles music. Only one negative was having to walk down to the restaurant to get wine.
Jay Hoffmann
Visited in early January with family of 6. We had a little anxiety about visiting during the peak of winter, but with our warm coats, gloves and hats, it was no problem.
The Park itself is amazing. We've been on some ropes courses where everyone moved as a pack, single file like a horse train, waiting for others to finish and/or catch up. I loved the free-form nature of The Forge, where we could explore at our pace and curiosity after we'd mastered the safety system.
I'd also like to call out the wonderful and well trained staff. We hit a snafu with sister-in-law arriving late, so no one to watch the dog for a spell. One of the staff jumped in and offered to keep track of her for a few minutes so that the party could stick together. Incredible service!
We'll be back!
Rennie Mendoza
We had a great time doing the Magic Portal adventure game. The weather could've been better. but nevertheless, it was good fun. Will definitely be back to do more in the summer.
Lindsey Cocalas
This place is absolutely amazing, my group came here for my bachelorette party and we did the soar tower and zip line and had so much fun. Guides Jenny and Kevin were awesome. My only complaint was in the beginning The guide Alex was being extremely rude when explaining rules. She seemed impatient and as if she did not want to be there. I would definitely come to the forge again!
Kerry Higdon
My son and I came to spend 3 hours at the 8 Towers and had a blast. We are very experienced with ropes courses, so we came in knowing what to expect, generally. The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic, and they were especially kind to my son, who gets nervous rappelling. I was very grateful for their reassurances and encouragement. The Forge is still quite new, so there are some little things here and there that maybe don't have the same degree of finesse that others possess. It's got so much potential and such a great view, however, that given some time, I expect this will be quite the destination spot.
Pros: Having eight separate towers gives a lot of options for a day of climbing. The staff checked our helmets, harnesses, gloves, and mental states every single time we entered a course or left one. It was brilliant. I made a point to keep track--they never missed those checks. Having lockers on site is convenient and appreciated. Finally, the towers themselves are not designed with a specific route to follow on each one, so there's less waiting for others to complete elements. The height of the towers is quite striking, and if you make it to the top of the Skyscraper on a clear day, you can see Chicago in the distance. It's incredible.
Cons: Because there aren't specific routes, it's hard to feel like you've completed a whole tower without backtracking somewhere. That's great if you have the ability to return multiple times, but as someone who likes to complete everything, it was kind of frustrating. If you end up on a tower without an employee present (as we did), you can't really get off the tower without summoning someone. The restrooms are portables (many ropes courses have the same), and water isn't complimentary. You also don't get ziplining hardware unless you're doing The Summit, so when you zip between towers you are unlikely to make it all the way across. I also noticed a bunch of obstacles are rather repetitive between towers--I've seen courses with fewer routes but significantly greater creativity in elements.
Overall, this was a highlight of our trip. We're considering bringing our extended family back in a few years so we can all spend several days at The Forge--there's so much to do there it could be a whole vacation by itself.

UPDATE:
Forge Adventure Park has done what any top notch business would do and has offered to credit me and my party for the SOAR! Which was the right move being that me and my party paid for this but we’re not able to experience due to lighting at the end of our stay.
Responding to mistakes made is never easy but they have handle this situation w/ high grace a professionalism. I’ve always said, its ok to make mistakes for that’s how we learn.
And again, I’d like to mention that the lighting and inclement weather were of NO fault of the super friendly staff. They did a great job in making sure everyone was safe and having fun during our time.
Thank you again for the experience team Forge Adventure Park. Have a safe and happy 4th of July! ❤️🤍💙
Had a terrible experience due to inclement weather. Paid for 4 hours of 8 towers plus zip line SOAR. Had to wait two hours just to get started. After orientation we really only had about 2 1/2 hours to enjoy the experience. 3 out of the 8 towers were not available and the worst part was the fact that we were next in line to zip line the SOAR only to be told that lighting struck 8 miles away and we could not go. No refund or voucher was offered. Sadly we will not be recommending this place to our friends/families. We would hate for them to waste the amount of money we did only to get half of the experience. ☹️
Stephen Callans
The place is awesome! A few notes though.....you're outdoors so there will be bees on a nice day. When you're zip lining from one tower to the other, make sure to push the rope away from you. Unless you want a rope burn. Recommend bringing your own food. It's quite expensive. The staff is all very friendly.

This is a truly exceptional (think world-class) outdoor adventure park. Spanning a large terrier, design is cleverly done to allow for many different experiences. After several visits, I feel like there are so many different activities and ways to explore the various aerial, water, bike and foot terrains that we can come back an almost endless number of times and still enjoy it. some degree of fitness is good, but there are activities for most levels. There is definitely a slant towards the adventurous, but it is an adventure park. Things to do include: climbing walls, bouldering, a vast and varied aerial course, zip-lines, kids zone, mountains biking, pump-track biking, walking/running trails, and water sports (canoe, kayak, pedal-boating on flat water in the forge). The “ForgeFire” outdoor dining food quality is really very good and changes frequently, so I imagine they have a good chef and crew. Staff are friendly and helpful. Mask wearing and other stated regulations are enforced, which itself speaks to the quality of staff training.
John Petrakis
Awesome place to pick your favorite outdoor activity and do you! Staff is super friendly. If you leave bored, you did it wrong!
MegaTango01
The dining igloo experience exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and the service was good as well. I would recommend the Irish Coffee with whiskey!
We will definitely dine there again.
Nathaly Espinoza
This was our first visit and can't wait to go again! The customer service was great, everyone was very nice and helpful. The attractions were fun and exciting. There was a awesome live band along with delicious food. I definitely recommend anyone to go!
Gary Freigo
A great place to see a concert. The rest of the place looked to be very fun. Great place to tire the kids and dog friendly.
Claudia Gunter
We had a BLAST!!!!
I want to THANK MATT and the late night Laser Tag CREW for their special care and attention with setting us up, giving us an opportunity to play ALL of our games (plus one new game we made up out of confusion); and they had the patience and humor to put up with our birthday-girl shenanigans!!
The games were SO FUN we got carried away laughing and yelling at one another (guys vs ladies)...let's just say I have a game scar to prove our LADY TEAM was fierce!
I highly recommend The Forge Park if you're planning ANY outdoor action activity!
We have been there for: #hiking, #trackriding and #trailriding, #kayaking, #ziplining, #CLIMBING, #lunch and now #LASERTAG
WE'LL BE BACK!!!
Cynthia Cremer
Great experience didn’t even get to do all the attractions and was there for 8 hours. Definitely worth the money.
Kenneth Bailey
It's was cool place right it was us shooting zombies it was zombies but not like I envision it but it was a great place to visit
Bonnie Jakusz
An awesome band! Wonderful venue. Pretty good selection of food and drinks.
Dale Farris
The place and activities are 5 stars all day long. Plenty to do for everyone if you get the full pass. We had a group of 9 of us and were able to have a great time on the climbing and zip lines. Be sure to ask or read the other reviews about stuff that you should bring or not bring. The only downside is that at this time it's apparent they are understaffed. There were a few times that the wait for something was longer than it should of been. Just having one staff member on the final tower zip line made our last impression poor. Long wait and not able to go up to the top to repel the way down because he was so busy with the zip line portion.
Nicole Anyaogu
We did the globe dining. Food was pretty good but the service was excellent and everyone in the air was very helpful and kind. The experience overall was very good. Chef came out and introduced himself. It was very nice.
Robert Fitzpatrick
Food was good. People at the check in were very nice including the girl that was obviously high on something. Just check all the propane tanks and make sure they are filled. Ours wasn't and it got a little cold.
John Culpepper
We had our first experience here and had a lot of fun. The All Day Pass worked great for us to try everything out. There are still a few kinks to work out in the ropes course because a few areas only have one way routes back on it self without the option to go higher. Overall though the equipment is solid and the staff is knowledgeable. Be aware that when the wind picks up the max weight limit for the main zip line is 210 pounds. We look forward to going back again and possibly purchase a membership.
addison quinn
I went to the Forge this weekend and it was one of the most fun experiences I have ever had!! The place is gorgeous, and they are so cautious and safe especially considering COVID-19. My friends and I went zip lining, paddle boating, and even ate delicious food. When we went to get a reservation for their burger night, we were helped by Annie and she was so kind and helpful. All of the workers we were helped by were so caring and thoughtful of everyone. I 100% recommended going to the Forge whenever you get the chance, and I will definitely be going back as soon as possible!!!
Lee Krizka
We took my dad to the globe dining experience for his 80th bday. It was wonderful! Delicious dinner….everything was amazing! Just a reminder to anyone who uses an assistive mobility device: the terrain is sandy/gravel and the inside of the globe is rock. We were able to navigate it and the staff is very helpful. I am just saying this to make people aware. Go! You will LOVE it!!
Shelly Surdyk
Attendant at outdoor concert. Had an amazing experience. Great choice of food and beverages. Nice crowd. Amazing fireworks
MARGE Marasco
I had the most incredible adventure at the Forge Adventure Park! Fun for all ages! The eight towers climbing, zip lining (MUST DO!! -- Its crazy exciting horrifying, and FUN...... so many activities to do! You must check this place out! It will Not disappoint
Kara Barr
The Forge Adventure Park ROCKS!! Since discovering this awesome place 3 weeks ago we have come back for a family fun day AND brought a group of (15 )5th grade boys to play laser tag and hit the pump track. They all said BEST. DAY. EVER! Andrew has been working all 3 times we visited. Each and every visit Andrew has made sure we had an excellent experience. He consistently goes out of his way meet and exceed our expectations. He is a great ambassador of your brand! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We did the globe dining this winter (just remember you're paying for the experience, not the food) and we just did the Summit. There was an employee named Frank who was fantastic. As a single mother, it's hard to do these things with 2 kids that sometimes need help and often need guidance. Frank was patient and helpful and has wonderful people skills. With his help, we made it to the top of the 2 tallest towers!! It was such a wonderful memorable experience and we couldn't have done it without him
R M
This place was a lot of fun and a great workout. You definitely can spend the entire day here and even bring your own kayak if you have one. The staff was super patient and friendly. The high ropes courses were extremely safe for all ages and skill levels. It’s about time there is something like this around Chicagoland area!
Joseph Uhrich
Wow. You'll probably miss the entrance road the first time you visit. It's a rocky bumpy road along the canal. You won't think it's the entrance. It's strange it's so poorly marked. Hopefully it will be improved. One lot is paved and in better shape, the other is stone, and straw. The two towers was our destination and the ten year olds were just okay with it. Our younger children were having a blast. The 40 minutes passed too quickly. The other parts of the park looked well kept and challenging. I think the pass would be the way to go if you liked climbing. I understand they have concerts as well. Lots of good beers... Local breweries are represented. The food was good for this type of venue. The items are limited but tasty. The four star review is for the rotten rocky road into the parking lot. They are working on the web site to make it easier to navigate. We will definitely return. I think you can drive out and view and walk through the park and enjoy a beverage and the atmosphere. Bring binoculars because there are birds in the area and you'll need them to see from one tower to the next.
Santo C1981
I did the Kid Adventure thingy with the rope structure and my son Looooooved it. I had a great time seeing him laugh and smile. We will be going back to try the other goodies and hike the trails
Viktor Guillen
I had an absolute blast! It’s a great one time experience. It’s really hard to have a bad time here, you get to work out and zip from one course to the other. The staff is very chill and helpful. Props to the kid that knew sign language, give that man a raise. That being said I wouldn’t come back. You’re better off exploring Starved Rock.
Umid Khasanov
What a fun place! All of the activities are super fun and I thought very safe. Definitely make sure to bring a bottle of water with you and a phone to take pictures, since you can get a little pouch to put things in. Dress very athletic and enjoy!
DJ Barraca
It was fun. We played laser tag with our friends. A good family activity that our teenage sons actually enjoyed.
Sharon Chen
Activities are fun, but was deeply disappointed by how the Ultimate Adventure Pass worked. Would not let us reserve time slots online, and people running the check-in desk said that we could just show up for an activity, but we had to wait for time slots as they gave priority to people who bought one activity and had reservations. It's unfair for those who got the Ultimate Adventure Pass. Also, the mountain bikes were not in good condition -- one of the bikes given to us, the brakes were not working properly.
Food was also overpriced
Brodie Ary
Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about equipment and the course. Had a good time and even fished awhile in the quarries
Matt Snider
Tons of fun. A lot better than I expected. Highly recommend checking this place out. They also have a nice spot for food and drinks with live music scheduled throughout the summer.
Brian Crummy
I went to the Forge for the first time last night... It was amazing. I walked the trails a bit (next time I’ll bring my bike), played laser tag with some long time friends (super fun and competitive), did a lot of bouldering (feeling it this morning) and enjoyed a locally brewed Kolsch on the patio (as the sunset over the water, no less). There aren’t many 10 out of 10 days, but yesterday was one of them thanks to some good friends and the Forge.
Candice Coit
Gotta say, this place is awesome. We came for the 8 towers adventure. Staff is really nice. Equipment is well taken care of. Lots of different obstacles to climb on.
Lots of other things to do too so we’ll definitely be back.
Thanks guys for a great day
sarah torkelsen
Great hidden gem of a place! We had no idea all the Forge has to offer until we went for a kids birthday party. Great kids playground (safe, secure, unique), awesome cafe with boozie drinks for adults, firepit, outdoor dining (domes in winter) & a new ice skating rink. This place has it all (mountain biking area, trails, ziplining and ropes/climbing). Service was great too!
BradandAnn Henning
Three hours is plenty. It was a great mindless workout. I never worked so hard and had fun doing it! It was a fun family activity.
Sue Williams
We were very disappointed because all the attractions were reserved by groups when we got there. We registered for two towers but that went quick and there was nothing else available to do.
I would advise making all the reservations for the activities you plan to do from home before you venture out.
Donna Schroedle
Great venue to see a concert, grab some food and a drink. Always a great time!
A. Akram
Good experience. Could speed up at the check-in counter though. But overall well maintained, friendly staff. Had a good time there. Wish there were some beginner level courses or at least ways to get down after a few obstacles for first timers instead of going up all the way up before they cns get down.
Ryan Thomas
Great experience overall… physically challenging as well. Makes you want to work out to complete more of the obstacles… most definitely will be back
Donna Spears
Fabulous outdoor concert venue! Hope they add more beverage/food choices in the future, but was really enjoyable.
Coyote J
Organized and efficient. Staff was friendly and helpful. The one snag we ran into was quickly resolved and everyone had a lot of fun.
Juan Gonzalez
Mi kid's love the place. Bought the all day pass kid's enjoyed themselves to the max. Only negative feed back was the selection if bikes was poor. My daughter's bike broke down in the middle of the trail. My wife had to Cary her back on the bike and I had to Cary the broken bike back. Besides that we did have a good time.
Rios Family
Great place to go climbing and the staff is friendly and helpful. Felt extremely safe the entire time.
Ike Muzikowski
This experience was incredible. Stop checking out videos and pictures, stop reading Google Reviews, and GET OUT THERE. I'm the Principal of Chicago Hope Academy and we were blessed to bring 40 of our students to experience the Forge this past May. We took on a Two Tower adventure challenge course and had a blast.
We had a group of 13-18 year-olds. We had Varsity Athletes who wanted to try the course without safety equipment, and we had kids who wanted to get back in the vans because the towers looked intimidating upon arrival. Every member of our group enjoyed it, despite difference in ability and confidence levels. The General Manager, Byron, walked us through the expectations and motivated, encouraged, and instructed us to have a blast while trusting our safety equipment.
The adrenaline rush, beautiful views, team building, and friendship development were awesome, but what really took the experience over the top was the kindness, patience, and sincerity of the staff. Our kids made mistakes, they were corrected with professionalism. Our kids asked questions, they were given practical instructions. Our kids got nervous and doubted themselves/the equipment, their staff calmly helped them overcome their fears and anxiety.
I've worked repel and climbing towers at different camps, you see the same thing every time, just with different kids. These Forge staff members felt like they were a part of our group experiencing it all for the first time with us. Class act.
We weren't able to stay for the entire day, but I think it'd be awesome to experience the lake/water sports, the 8 tower adventure, bike riding, laser tag, and AR escape rooms with a group. If you've NEVER done something like this, do yourself a favor and go. This was a huge win for kids who had been isolated at home due to COVID, great for our staff members to share a fun experience like this with the students as well. Bring a Little League baseball team, go for a birthday party, take your family/friends when they come to Chicago to visit. Tiger King and TikTok aren't going anywhere -- so just go. Kids aren't running around on playgrounds anymore -- don't contribute to that trend.
The place is huge, the staff is great, the experience is stellar. Will definitely be going again.
Maria Fabiola Mata
We had so much fun
Jackie Weishaar
We had a wonderful time climbing and doing the zip line! It’s a great way to get outside and get do self pasted workout!
Zayo Farris
The experience was great, my friends and I had a great time going through the rope courses. When we decided to finish our experience the line was way to long for the father distance Zipline. They were not allowing anyone else up there, so we decided to finish our trip on the other Zipline and it took forever to finnaly ride it. Their were not enough staff and it seems like some could just be wondering about.
Mary Nolan
Great time axe throwing. We will return again. Also looking forward to forge days and Maggie speaks. Your employees were fantastic!
Heather Evans
This place is so much fun and the staff is so nice! Great place, can’t wait to go again!
Luke Thornton
Something for the whole family and all ages. Kayak, Zip line, Laser Tag, Escape room, Bike rental, Bike challenge course and trails, Concerts, Restaurant and lounge. We liked just walking around as well. It's a little difficult to get to. We found the staff to be well informed and helpful.
Allison Murphy
I brought a group of students to The Forge and it was outstanding! The experience that was provided last night was top notch in every way. The knowledge, passion, care, and sincere patience that was shown by every crew member was exceptional. We will be back!
meghan herzic
Staff is extremely friendly and patient. Park is well kept and very clean. Safety is a top priority.
Cathy Jones
Had a ton of fun at the zombie laser tag. Would highly recommend it!
Jon Dahlson-Rutherford
The Pump Track, skills course, and the Drop In are very good and decently priced. The riding trails are also good for the novice trail riders. The rental bikes are quality bikes, mostly GT, and work well. Great afternoon was had by all.
Amber Kurt
This place is an amazing experience! Definitely would recommend checking out at least once! You wont be disappointed.
Roxy Vasyliuk
I did climb and Zipline adventure overall it was great , but it looks like they are short on stuff and it was a little bit annoying to wait for a long time .
Nature is beautiful out there!
Hanna Romero Molina
My husband and I made a booking for canoeing the other day. It was my first time, so we got instructions from the staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly.
Planning to do the eight towers next time, zipline across the pond looks exciting
Jimmy Gonzalez
I loved this place the entire experience was fantastic the staff was so full of energy and happiness and very helpful. All in all I will definitely be attending more often.
Jeffrey Ulery
Extremely disappointed with this places progression. I swiped and purchased a Founding Membership before this park was open. I took the chance and wanted get on board and support them from the beginning.
After a few times to the park I was told I couldn't use my membership for the Lazer tag and that it was separate. I was a little upset as it was an activity and felt like it was shown on the website as "sold" to me as included. I however sweep it under the rug so to speak because I was really a member for the pump track and mountain biking.
I have tried the kayaks. I enjoy kayaking and kayak fishing. This however is very limited. It is a small pond basically about 2 or 3 acres in size and gets old Extremely quick.
The ropes and zip line are great. They are a very active and challenging activity however I think for me they're more of a niche. If you are a climber you will prolly enjoy them more than once or twice.
As I said earlier though I really joined because of the bikes.
Winter comes along and they put up an ice rink. Another activity they tell us founding members we have to pay for even though it is an activity in the park.
Covid precautions continue to be used as an excuse for limited slot times for people to reserve a spot and come in and enjoy their membership. Then slot slot times get reduced in length, availability and for activities making it even harder for me who drives a truck to line up when I can come in. In addition they completely get rid of the "members only" times that where available as well as the "day pass" members used to come in and use their membership on more than one thing.
Food prices are insane. Another thing I just chalk upto as "hey its a park and they gotta make money". 4.50 for a water. Yada yada
All this is what it is. What really I just can not except and feel frankly offended over is now that after waiting almost a year for the mountain bike trail system to finally be open they feel it is justified to charge us founding members once again. The "drop In trails" that I've been waiting a year for are not included in my membership and they want me to buy tickets or another membership.
How exactly are you showing the ones who stepped up during covid and before you opened you value their support and money?
The thing is I planned on renewing despite your lack luster first year. I could just pay for the drop in pass as I don't need the whole park. The problem is I don't know if I wanna support this companies choice of policy. Money over loyalty isn't respectable.
All this being said I wanna thank Jim and his crew Ben, Cullen, Angelo, Ross, Shane and any I missed. I know it isn't their issue and they have been great to talk and ride with.
Edit*
Want to make it clear it isn't about the money. I was offered a refund for my pass a few months ago and I even offered to pay them more as a rebuttal if they would just sort out their mess.
**The drop in is included for founding members per Byron and was a mistake.
I'm leaving the rant because it is a reflection of how attached to the mtb group and activities here.
Nicole Sellig
We had a lovely morning of kayaking and playing on the pump track. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Also, saw the have yoga in the morning and it looks awesome. We will definitely have to come back for that!
Matt Pietz
This place is excellent and I'll get to the positives but there are a couple of things I wish I'd known before going. First, if you are coming with kids and also hope to do the adult course, you should know the kid & adult areas are far apart, like a quarter mile. Second, when you arrive there is no orientation or explanation, and they don't hand out maps (COVID, I think); there is a posted signboard map but it's not in a convenient spot, you have to walk a bit to see it. So you're on your own for figuring where everything is and how it all works. The teenagers all working the place are very friendly but not well trained on explaining things. Third, even though we went on a Thursday to avoid crowds, there is a lot of waiting involved on the adult course. You go through a lengthy orientation and then you have to wait while people do the obstacle/task in front of you, then you do it, then you wait on the next platform for the next obstacle... I dunno if it's like that everywhere in the ropes courses that can be accessed in the Chicago area, but just to be forewarned, as none of the reviews I read mentioned any of this. Positives are many: It's a beautiful setting; the climbing structures are interesting and we always felt safe; the bike course is super fun for kids--it was not something I'd really thought about before going, but turned out to be our kids' favorite thing, and they have bikes & helmets for you to use, don't need your own; paddle boats also really fun and on a pretty pond that used to be a quarry; and while food options are limited, restaurants in town will deliver to the place, and you can eat at the picnic tables. All in all we'd certainly go back.
Michelle Vermeland
The only reason for not giving 5 stars was because they were really understaffed. Because of that, there were long waits and not all the towers were open. They staff that was working were very attentive and knowledgeable. Many were exhausted but they continued to try and make it best experience. I would definitely go back
Raymond Kowalczyk
I'm 77 years old. Spent the day. Climbed on everything. Awesome 👍😎 …
Moe VikLew
So cool what they did and the fun stuff they offer. Laser tag was fun. But rained washed our day away. Mosquitoes omgosh all over bring spray. Zip line and other attractions look fun was there for a bday party for laser tag.
Gabriel Serrano
Highly recommend, had a great time, definetly coming back soon
Michael Beube
Good stuff, gotta be ready for a lot of physical activity when doing the climbing stuff, heavy on the shoulders and back.
Jorge Reyes
It was definitely fun me and some friends had a good time but that being said the directions and or game rules weren't breakout explained all that well, the head piece wasn't working properly and the guns would not work properly at times.
KME
Extremely lacking communication and directions. DO NOT gamble on a rainy day. They had everyone leave for lightning "5-10 miles out" and said wait in your cars for further communications. We sat and had pizza to wait, within a mile from the park, and no rain clouds come for hours; (if at all) nor any lightning. No such further communications came. So we finally decided to leave town.
My partner and I essentially paid $140 to wall climb twice. I understand that they must be careful for safety, but they must also try to be more fair and communicate their weather/closing situation for the remainder of the day with guests who had reservations.
Also just an FYI if you don't have your own gloves they charge $17 a pair, luckily we read those instructions and had our own.
EDIT: Changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. They gave us a raincheck refund after I posted the review. I do appreciate that the adventure park gives people an experience that is harder to find in the Midwest
Todd Marcheschi
Great place so far! Recommend your kid has some mountain biking experience for the bump track. My son is 7 almost 8 with some biking exp. and did well, however would be easy for inexperienced rider to get hurt. Consider elbow/knee pads wrist guards. The kids area is cool, safe and monitored well by staff. Check in is a bit scattered right now, chalking that up to growing pains. Staff is great they are friendly and helpful without having to ask. It is a fair amount of walking, so consider if bringing older visitors or people with disabilities. There is a 70lb weight limit for climbing on all rope courses, this was a bummer as my 7/9 year old aren’t quite there yet, so consider this before u buy a membership. The paddle boats were great exercise kids had fun for about 45 min. Very cool patio to eat on, not a ton of snacks to buy, I suggest u bring ur own. Met one of the founders, very nice guy and seems to have a great direction for this place lots of potential, that’s for sure. Everyone wearing masks and doing their best to distance. Can’t say enough about how much fun it is! I agree need more signs to direct you to areas. My kids and my niece all said they were super happy we joined! Oh you do need gloves (14$ there )they run big for kids and bandanas for under the helmets (7$ dollars there). Overall great place and great addition to lemont. Zip line is cool but didn’t seem that fast, u can take the stairs to the zip line if u don’t want to climb. Haven’t done it yet, just an observation. Ok that’s that.
Sarah Cudney
Really great experience. My boys loved the ropes course and laser tag. We will be back to do more!
Kendall Klaiber
Had an amazing time. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Made the day go smooth and made it a blast.
sonia zhu
Staff were nice, online ticket were out they get us guest tickets and kids enjoyed their time! Specially the greeting guy by entrance name Steven? For egg hunting event. We were there early 4/4 and he gave us direction and help with the ticketing.
Penny Boyle
This is an awesome place with so many different things to do. Perfect for a family or group outing.
Maria Cunha
So much fun for adults!!!
Magda Nicolas
Saw this place on Tik Tok and it met all my expectations. It was amazing coming here with a group of friends and eating afterwards! Highly recommend!
nikosoup
The rock climbing and obstacle courses were fun, but got backed up by people. Because as you climb there’s little perches to stop on, but only one person can stay on one, but some people decide half way up they need to be rescued and get walked through which leaves you stuck in the same place for about 10 minutes. Everything was extremely overpriced. The food was glorified ready meals that were way overpriced, for 4 cold chicken tenders without any way of heating it was maybe 15 bucks, I say maybe because it doesn’t have a price on it. All the food available comes in packaging like ground beef and isn’t that good and for the price is terrible food. If prepackaged meals aren’t your style you can wait and pay 20 bucks for a burger or two cooked over a fire with premade buns, which wouldn’t be normally bad but because how much they cost I have high expectations naturally. Bring old shoes you don’t care about as all the paths are gravel.
TLDR : food is overpriced and comes in small portions pack your own including drinks, bring old shoes and your own gloves and the obstacle courses, rock walls and zip lines themselves were fun without people
Sundarrajan Poovarasan
The Forge Team is So flexible and patient to accept all requests from customer and adventure activities are good
I would recommend the place for toddlers
Zumba Mama
Very fun place but definitely not for your unskilled climbers at heart . Staff was helpful but we were not aware to bring water . The prices for food and beverages are outrageous .. 4.25 for a bottle of water
CL
The Forge! The location is huge! Such fun activities offered! Got to do zipline on sunset, just amazing view! Will definitely go back, worth the drive! Would love to see a concert or show here as well! Bathrooms are cleaaaaannn!
Adriane Bower
Great concert on Saturday night and awesome fireworks!!! Luv that the Forge is in my hometown :)
Charley Vail
This place is a ton of fun and a good off the beaten path choice. Bring water and prepare to get a major arm workout on the zip lining obstacle course. The staff is also very nice.
TC
Super fun day! Very friendly staff and well monitored. Highly recommended. They have water bottle refillable stations so that was really helpful in the heat.
Ivona Karpiel
This was such a fun experience for the whole family! The tower and zip-line were challenging, but there was something to do for all ages. Henry, Penny, Michael and Parker were awesome 🤗 Thank you so much! …
rebecca maslan
What a cool place! Loads of activities to choose from. Great place to get outside get exercise and have tons of fun. We will definitely be back.
Kelly Zurek
Tactical laser tag for 8 today ages 10-40 something. Check in was quick and easy, staff was attentive and polite. We played 5 games, our choice of several options. Everyone had a blast, we will be back!
Jax's Adventures
I did the 8 tower adventures it was Fun, challenging and strenuous. It get's you outside of your comfort zone. Even while being short staffed they did an amazing job!
Penguis Box
Staff were super friendly! All throughout the course I had no problems. All the equipment was clean, and was well taken care of. Price was totally worth the adventure.
Ruchi Miller
It was a great experience to see the start of the practice with a clear blue sky and end with stars in the sky.
Zheng Gao
Criminally understaffed. Every staff at the bottom of a station tells you "there's a long wait here and I wouldn't recommend you start here, now go to the other station". Be somebody else's problem is what they are saying. And since there's a long wait at every station, visitors get impatient, and you have to fend off some overly enthusiastic and protective suburban moms that come with their children and try to skip ahead in the lines.
Kathy Foskett
So much fun. The staff were super friendly, accommodating and helpful. We'll be back
Tracy M
Great spot. Staff was so helpful and friendly. Wish they would have sent a coupon for our next visit after dropping $350 on my family.

Great place and BIG ! Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended checking it out even if just for a walk around non gratis. Would like to see better signage up. Finding the place was mostly guess work and Google maps was completely off on the location. Look for " Lemont Heritage Quarries recreation area " drive to the end of the parking lot and walk in. There is no entry gate as you might think.
Update! The park now reads correctly in Google Maps. Thx guys!
Pradip Shah
Nice location but for under 13 not enough activities. Should add more nicer and safer long and little zip lines and also some activities so kids can spend more time for different activities.
Mary Ellen Meuris
Awesome Day! So much fun. All the workers were so kind and helpful
JackPlayz
Great week- we’re lucky to have such a cool camp near us!

There's a lot to do here and everyone is nice. A day you can't get anywhere else nearby for sure. But the price...$240 for two kids? You get one pass of the long zipline (it used to be unlimited) You have to schedule each activity when you book and cross your fingers about the weather because it's non-refundable. I'm 50/50 on this place. If it was a more reasonable price and didn't have to schedule it would be much better.
UPDATE
I am always glad when a company checks their reviews, and the worker on phone at Forge was helpful. After getting my review response from owner I went back and double checked the website. The 1st sentence under terms and conditions says reservations ARE REQUIRED for the ticket I purchased, though. I will be back. I'm glad park was willing to help rectify. Its a very nice park, but structure could use tweaking.
